Tragic Crash Turned Murder Charge | Des Moines News
A deadly crash in Calhoun County on April 12th claimed the life of 19-year-old Kyle Rath, while his UTV passenger, 21-year-old Roger King, was critically injured. Authorities now allege the pickup driver, 21-year-old Jaxyn Stone Blum, intentionally targeted the UTV with premeditation and intent to kill. Blum faces first-degree murder — potentially life in prison — and attempted murder charges carrying up to 25 years.
