A child died after being left alone in a sweltering car in Vernal, Utah, for over two hours — the vehicle’s interior reached deadly temperatures as high as 151°F. The 34-year-old father, Tommy Dean Platero, allegedly forgot to drop the child off at daycare and drove elsewhere, returning to find the child unresponsive.
