Texas Tech Surges to #12 in Preseason Poll | Texas Tech Red Raiders Football News
Texas Tech rockets into the AP preseason poll at No. 12—their highest start since 2008 and top-ranked in the Big 12—setting the stage for a thrilling climb. With key matchups like Ohio State vs. Texas and Oklahoma vs. Michigan looming, plus high-stakes games like USC-Oregon and Georgia-Oklahoma, Tech has prime opportunities to leap up the rankings. While the playoff era has lessened the poll’s weight, it still signals a program on the rise—potentially heading toward top-10 status before the season’s halfway mark.
