- 0:01Speaker 1: Hold up, hold up bookball a shirt? Sure, sure, Ferash, y'all,
- 0:09Speaker 1: it's the kid Ferori Simmons. Okay, I's gonna roll with it.
- 0:12Speaker 1: And it's your favorite Ethiopian so solo it's o CC.
- 0:19Speaker 1: We're back. We're back with it. How y'all doing cuipman
- 0:25Speaker 1: mery Crimazin? Yeah? You know, I like to just keep
- 0:28Speaker 1: it a happy holidays. You know, everybody celebrate Christmas. Plus
- 0:33Speaker 1: you know, we got things like Kwansa, you know, all
- 0:37Speaker 1: the other cultural things that we need to acknowledge. So
- 0:41Speaker 1: happy holidays that everyone we love, y'all. Can we do
- 0:46Speaker 1: following too? It's like everybody just doesn't celebrate the same thing. Yeah,
- 0:51Speaker 1: I'm not one to celebrate American man made holidays. However,
- 0:56Speaker 1: I just enjoy the spirit of them. So I just
- 1:00Speaker 1: be there being the room, participating in the spirit and
- 1:04Speaker 1: they spirit. Yeah, I'm definitely screwed even on trying to
- 1:10Speaker 1: get these Kobe's they're called the grinches that come out
- 1:16Speaker 1: please sneakers. We're speaking of the bridges. What's going in
- 1:20Speaker 1: to get into in case you missed? Okay, what you
- 1:27Speaker 1: guys want to talk about? First? The baby the plans
- 1:30Speaker 1: are retiring from music in five years. That is so
- 1:33Speaker 1: interesting to me. To give me the juice on that.
- 1:38Speaker 1: Uh well, a board with what he's doing. I mean
- 1:42Speaker 1: I could definitely feel that, um because I've been if
- 1:48Speaker 1: he's borable what he's doing, he'd say about five years,
- 1:51Speaker 1: he'll start creating other other versions of him, you know,
- 1:54Speaker 1: many many hymns or bigger superstars, uh rappers or entertainers
- 1:59Speaker 1: who are bigger than him. I'm cool with that. I mean, now,
- 2:01Speaker 1: if he's tried to start back rapping again in five years,
- 2:04Speaker 1: then you know that means you didn't retire. But are
- 2:09Speaker 1: you gonna really retire or you know, you're just saying
- 2:12Speaker 1: that right now for headlines. Well, you know a lot
- 2:15Speaker 1: of people do it for the headline. But I feel
- 2:18Speaker 1: like he will, you know, take his label to another
- 2:21Speaker 1: level and create other superstars. Um, that would be smart,
- 2:25Speaker 1: you know what I'm saying. There's a lot of people
- 2:26Speaker 1: don't look out for others. They just go for self
- 2:29Speaker 1: and they try to write it out as long as
- 2:31Speaker 1: they can. Uh So, I think it's a cool idea.
- 2:34Speaker 1: Do I think that he's gonna just stop rapping and
- 2:37Speaker 1: do a label and that's it. No, I feel like
- 2:40Speaker 1: he may jump on a track, you know, with some
- 2:43Speaker 1: of his artists and uh push it like that. Yeah.
- 2:49Speaker 1: So I guess what I'm wondering is, But when I
- 2:51Speaker 1: hear you know, create other superstars, in my mind, I'm thinking, Okay,
- 2:56Speaker 1: he's going back to the roots of it were where
- 3:00Speaker 1: labels were really taking people and I guess kind of
- 3:03Speaker 1: molding them and really teaching them to be the superstars
- 3:08Speaker 1: that they could potentially be, Whereas now it seems like
- 3:12Speaker 1: most labels want someone who's already done, someone who's already
- 3:16Speaker 1: well packaged, doesn't need a lot of work, um already
- 3:19Speaker 1: has a million plus followers on social media. So I'm
- 3:24Speaker 1: wondering if he's really going back to the grassrooted way
- 3:28Speaker 1: of of taking someone who you know has potential, just
- 3:31Speaker 1: doesn't necessarily have I guess to know how the swag,
- 3:35Speaker 1: the the you know what I'm saying. So I'm curious
- 3:39Speaker 1: to see, like how how he does this. Plus I
- 3:43Speaker 1: think you've got to think about this too, m You
- 3:47Speaker 1: know how some people question the me goes and say
- 3:50Speaker 1: that they feel like the megos era might be over with.
- 3:54Speaker 1: They feel like the flow is has been used over
- 3:57Speaker 1: and over and over again. You kind of have to
- 3:59Speaker 1: consider is the baby really thinking ahead and saying, all right, well,
- 4:03Speaker 1: this is the type of rapper that I am and
- 4:05Speaker 1: it works for me right now. Is this gonna be
- 4:08Speaker 1: what music is in five years? I'm just wondering, like
- 4:11Speaker 1: where he really is coming from. But nonetheless, I think
- 4:14Speaker 1: it's a smart vote. I think you can retire whenever
- 4:17Speaker 1: you want, and as a as a true artist, you
- 4:20Speaker 1: can come back whenever you want. So no matter what,
- 4:22Speaker 1: I think he's gonna be just fine. I'm look thinking
- 4:26Speaker 1: like what superstars he brings on board. Yeah, I do
- 4:29Speaker 1: think that in the back of his mind he knows
- 4:31Speaker 1: that the rap rap changes all the time. And um,
- 4:35Speaker 1: just like he said, he switched just flowing rock star,
- 4:38Speaker 1: you know from how he originally was sounding. But I
- 4:41Speaker 1: think he looks to the future, and I just think
- 4:43Speaker 1: that he's just just gonna give others a chance, you
- 4:46Speaker 1: know what I'm saying, to make it people that you
- 4:47Speaker 1: know from his city or other people that he may
- 4:50Speaker 1: have met along his journey as a rapper. I feel
- 4:53Speaker 1: like he's just gonna take a step back and be
- 4:55Speaker 1: able to allow them some shine and him give his
- 4:58Speaker 1: expertise to those people. Um to be able to become
- 5:02Speaker 1: superstar rappers as well. That's what go ahead the baby.
- 5:07Speaker 1: Well you mentioned the Megoes uh and uh. That's a
- 5:10Speaker 1: great segue because Quevo shares an update on the Mego's
- 5:13Speaker 1: next album, said it's arriving soon. Uh. Culture three guys,
- 5:20Speaker 1: you dropped two singles. I think three gonna get here.
- 5:24Speaker 1: Cuevo will make me call your phone bro. Actually real
- 5:28Speaker 1: Actually I did see see Real Money. That's one of
- 5:30Speaker 1: their managers, um outside of these at L streets, and
- 5:35Speaker 1: he told me they were dropping soon too, So soon
- 5:38Speaker 1: maybe first quarter. I don't know how they do. Yeah,
- 5:45Speaker 1: he's just waiting. They're just waiting on the pandemic to
- 5:47Speaker 1: ease up so that people can be outside and enjoy
- 5:50Speaker 1: and get the full Culture three effect. That's what I'm
- 5:53Speaker 1: thinking it is, you know, but shout out shout out
- 5:56Speaker 1: to Quevo for that. Quebo at Martel collab on the
- 6:01Speaker 1: holiday gifts that make Sure you guys gifts blue. Okay,
- 6:04Speaker 1: the package is super dope. Um. I love that he
- 6:08Speaker 1: kind of went left, you know what I'm saying, Like
- 6:11Speaker 1: we a lot of us, a lot of the hip
- 6:13Speaker 1: hoppers tend to drink something waiting on my Martell. Oh yeah,
- 6:18Speaker 1: it's already way, it's already under way. I mean the
- 6:22Speaker 1: holiday is Friday, there it is. He's about to say
- 6:25Speaker 1: crap my hill before Friday or he said yes me
- 6:34Speaker 1: something now like that. Don't like that? Okay, so I
- 6:41Speaker 1: think he trying, and he trying. You sure, Martell, talk
- 6:46Speaker 1: to me nice, Okay, don't do it all right, but
- 6:52Speaker 1: now I shout up to to me goes. I do
- 6:54Speaker 1: think that another album would be really good, and I
- 6:56Speaker 1: think I think was a good point that maybe they
- 6:59Speaker 1: are on the world to open up, because I think
- 7:03Speaker 1: some artists need to be out in the streets. I
- 7:07Speaker 1: think some artists need to be performing in front of
- 7:10Speaker 1: the audience to continuously, you know, touch base with them.
- 7:13Speaker 1: We've seen a lot of artists flourished during the pandemic
- 7:16Speaker 1: without having to be outside. But I do think that
- 7:19Speaker 1: the Medos would benefit the most from being able to
- 7:22Speaker 1: actually tour. Yeah, and how exciting is it for when
- 7:25Speaker 1: the when the country opens back up them to just
- 7:28Speaker 1: come out booming, you know what every evant like. You know,
- 7:31Speaker 1: they already have their project together and ready I need
- 7:34Speaker 1: a record, guys, I need a record. Yeah, okay, yeah, okay, yeah,
- 7:42Speaker 1: go ahead. Well, speaking to celebrations, everybody coming to America
- 7:47Speaker 1: to trailer just dropped March five. Are y'all ready, y'all
- 7:54Speaker 1: fans are coming to America one already? I'm super ready.
- 7:58Speaker 1: I think I damn that memorize the lines don't come
- 8:00Speaker 1: to America the first one. I mean that that came
- 8:02Speaker 1: out in the eighties correctly from wrong, man, I believe. Yeah, sure,
- 8:12Speaker 1: my family tells me. So. You know, my mom was
- 8:15Speaker 1: pregnant with me when they came to America. So my
- 8:18Speaker 1: family says that that's the first movie they saw when
- 8:21Speaker 1: they lived in Wow, what a story coming to America day.
- 8:29Speaker 1: I was like, wait, y'all are lying. They were like, no,
- 8:32Speaker 1: that was the first movie we saw living on American soil. Wow.
- 8:36Speaker 1: Well they saw a good one because Eddie Murphy killed
- 8:39Speaker 1: it as always, man, I mean this one, Eddie Murphy
- 8:42Speaker 1: actually becomes the king and learns that he has that
- 8:46Speaker 1: he has a son, so he has to come back
- 8:48Speaker 1: to America to get to know his son. So I'm
- 8:51Speaker 1: excited about it. Man. Uh. The movie drops March five
- 8:55Speaker 1: one on Amazon Prime Video, so that it is so dope.
- 9:00Speaker 1: I really can't wait um one time for the Lakers
- 9:03Speaker 1: championship rings. They feature of Kobe Bryant tribute in the ring. Um.
- 9:08Speaker 1: It is one of the dopest things I've ever seen
- 9:11Speaker 1: a championship team. The ring opens up too. Yeah, that's
- 9:17Speaker 1: why I was about to say. The ring opens up.
- 9:20Speaker 1: It opens up and you see the jerseys and then
- 9:22Speaker 1: that has the Kobe Bryant's number eight, and then that
- 9:26Speaker 1: a microphone and then the mamba or something like that.
- 9:34Speaker 1: But that was dope. Oh my god, this is I'm
- 9:38Speaker 1: just now looking at it. That is so dope. Shout
- 9:41Speaker 1: out to the Lakers for the for the love and
- 9:43Speaker 1: the parts. Yeah, man, it tributes. The Kobe tribute comes
- 9:50Speaker 1: in the form of a black Mama snake behind the
- 9:53Speaker 1: player's jersey numbers, which is super lit. It also features
- 9:59Speaker 1: Rabbi's jersey number twenty four and the number eight, so
- 10:03Speaker 1: both of his jerseys are inside when you open up
- 10:05Speaker 1: the little ring. When you open up the ring, it
- 10:07Speaker 1: has the jersey numbers and there it has four and
- 10:11Speaker 1: the eighth. I love it, and there I guess they're
- 10:15Speaker 1: the purple and the other one. Man. It's It's one
- 10:18Speaker 1: of the dopest things I've ever seen. I've never seen
- 10:20Speaker 1: a ring like that before. Yeah, and it was design
- 10:22Speaker 1: It was designed by Jason of Beverly Hills with the
- 10:26Speaker 1: help of Dancy. I really hope that, you know, Vanessa,
- 10:31Speaker 1: Brian Kobe's wife, Um, you know, feels a little love
- 10:37Speaker 1: around all these little ways that people, you know, try
- 10:40Speaker 1: to find to to honor Kobe and his legacy. Um,
- 10:44Speaker 1: especially right now with all this stuff she had going
- 10:46Speaker 1: on with her mom. So want her like it's it's
- 10:49Speaker 1: a man. So I really hope this woman is first
- 10:52Speaker 1: of all able to grieve. You know. God, I could
- 10:56Speaker 1: not even imagine being who she is and and trying
- 11:00Speaker 1: to agree right now, let alone having my mom coming
- 11:03Speaker 1: at me for for money Mercedes at a house to
- 11:08Speaker 1: be specific. Um, but man, but that's a we love
- 11:13Speaker 1: you girl. You I just I cannot imagine. I heard
- 11:17Speaker 1: we can. Um that's six hundred. Soon before we move
- 11:22Speaker 1: down we moved there. Wait before before we move to politics. Uh,
- 11:28Speaker 1: can you give us a rundown of these last minute
- 11:31Speaker 1: Christmas gifts? They sneaker releases since we talk talk earlier,
- 11:35Speaker 1: all right, So uh, Tuesday, the frozen blue Adidas Easy
- 11:39Speaker 1: comes out. Um, the Varsity Purple Woman's Dunk, which is
- 11:45Speaker 1: sold out. That came out that was retail one twenty
- 11:48Speaker 1: on Christmas Eve. The Kobe Sixes, which is, um, I
- 11:54Speaker 1: have to get those guys. I have to get them
- 11:55Speaker 1: and try to get two pair if I can wonder
- 11:58Speaker 1: where one to spare? What about I hope they So
- 12:06Speaker 1: do you have to go somewhere to be in the
- 12:08Speaker 1: line to get those or can you order them online
- 12:10Speaker 1: or how does that work? It's a couple of stories
- 12:14Speaker 1: that will have them, and they do. They do raffles um,
- 12:17Speaker 1: and then everything else you're about to try online, but
- 12:20Speaker 1: those that's the Kobe's Rebok is doing the Kama Kaze too. Um,
- 12:24Speaker 1: that's coming out soon. That's gonna be retailed at one third.
- 12:27Speaker 1: And then last year Saturday, yep, Um, there is a
- 12:32Speaker 1: collab the blazer Low super Fire eighty dollars if you
- 12:38Speaker 1: can get those. Um, it's a collab with Medicom and
- 12:43Speaker 1: Nike s B Blazer Low and then the Varsity Read
- 12:46Speaker 1: twelve Jordan twelves come out to Saturdays. So it's a
- 12:49Speaker 1: good after after holiday. Uh, presidents out there going on
- 12:55Speaker 1: this weekend then on Saturday. So yeah, sneakerheads, you want alert.
- 13:00Speaker 1: I just feel like Jordan's just recreates the same shoe
- 13:02Speaker 1: over and over again. I like it. Hello, leave us alone,
- 13:06Speaker 1: Leave us alone. That's what I'm just saying. It's just
- 13:08Speaker 1: that that uh, that Nike Uh what was it? The
- 13:13Speaker 1: varsity redils? That looks like something I've seen before. I
- 13:18Speaker 1: think it's a playoff the materials, you know, the texture
- 13:22Speaker 1: and and the color. But yeah, it's the same shoe design, right,
- 13:31Speaker 1: that's just reverse. But also that looks like isn't like velvet?
- 13:38Speaker 1: This is beautiful? What is that velvet? This is all
- 13:41Speaker 1: leather the ones that's coming out. Yeah, I don't think
- 13:47Speaker 1: it's gonna be SAE. That's exactly. I'm not gonna lie.
- 13:51Speaker 1: That's that's a sexy little shoe. Okay, the varsity red,
- 13:55Speaker 1: that's kind of cute. All right, So are you guys
- 13:58Speaker 1: gonna apply for this si ton of don't apply for
- 14:00Speaker 1: the PPP loans. I'm talking about the six hundreds. Do
- 14:03Speaker 1: not apply for the p p P loans six hundred
- 14:09Speaker 1: when the six hundred you can probably get you about
- 14:11Speaker 1: two in them shoes that you mentioned, that's the retail. Yeah,
- 14:18Speaker 1: but you know, Donald Trump uh said he ain't gonna
- 14:22Speaker 1: sign that bill. He thinks thousand dollars. I am asking
- 14:26Speaker 1: Congress to amend this bill and increase the ridiculously low
- 14:30Speaker 1: six hundred dollars to two thousand dollars or four thousand
- 14:35Speaker 1: dollars for a couple. I'm also asking Congress to immediately
- 14:39Speaker 1: get rid of the wasteful and unnecessary items from this legislation. Yeah, like,
- 14:44Speaker 1: on my way out the door, after shipping on y'all
- 14:47Speaker 1: this whole damn time, I'm gonna go ahead and agree that.
- 14:51Speaker 1: I'm gonna say two thousand certain that not what they
- 14:54Speaker 1: asked you for months ago? Is that not what they
- 14:58Speaker 1: asked for months ago? Don't come out the gate trying
- 15:01Speaker 1: to act like you give a funk and you want
- 15:04Speaker 1: to do this for us. Now, don't do that because
- 15:07Speaker 1: you've been sitting on this ship. They had been waiting
- 15:10Speaker 1: on you for months to say what you wanted. To
- 15:13Speaker 1: look at the numbers of how many people are unemployed,
- 15:16Speaker 1: to look at the numbers of people that have gotten evicted,
- 15:19Speaker 1: like people that have lost for health care. Two thousand dollars,
- 15:24Speaker 1: I'm sorry, yes, that is better than six hundred dollars,
- 15:27Speaker 1: But they are so out of touch with reality. How
- 15:31Speaker 1: you're gonna pay your landlords six hundred dollars, a thousand dollars,
- 15:35Speaker 1: two thousand dollars after being backed up for four five,
- 15:39Speaker 1: six months. How how are you gonna put a big
- 15:43Speaker 1: aspire out with a little water gun. Come on, do
- 15:47Speaker 1: better than that. I'm sorry. There should have been some
- 15:49Speaker 1: relief for the American citizens every single month that people
- 15:54Speaker 1: had to be at home unemployed or they lost their
- 15:58Speaker 1: unemployment benefits, whatever the case was. Like, this is ridiculous.
- 16:03Speaker 1: Essential workers should have been getting paid extra from the top.
- 16:08Speaker 1: They should have been given healthcare like all of the
- 16:11Speaker 1: essential workers who didn't have it should have been given
- 16:14Speaker 1: it at the very beginning of this pandemic. I think
- 16:17Speaker 1: it is very backwards, disgusting and embarrassing and lazy how
- 16:22Speaker 1: the administration handled the pandemic, and it shows a lack
- 16:25Speaker 1: of compassion. Well with Trump's demand of two thousand dollars
- 16:30Speaker 1: stimulus check. The Democrats are ready to bring this to
- 16:33Speaker 1: the floor this week, and they're trying to put the
- 16:36Speaker 1: pressure on Mitch McConnell, you know, like, let's do this.
- 16:39Speaker 1: It's up to you, alright, Moving right along, so solo,
- 16:42Speaker 1: any updates with Ethycopia and what's going on over there.
- 16:46Speaker 1: So I'll give you guys a really quick update because
- 16:48Speaker 1: not much has changed outside of the situation actually getting worse.
- 16:53Speaker 1: There are more people dying in the streets, more people
- 16:58Speaker 1: are seeking refuge is Sudan, which has now closed the
- 17:01Speaker 1: borders UM between Sudan and Ethiopia. UM. They are still
- 17:06Speaker 1: accepting refugees, but I don't think that they're having uh
- 17:11Speaker 1: as easy of a time getting to the camps as
- 17:14Speaker 1: they were prior to the borders being closed. UM. Eritrean
- 17:18Speaker 1: troops have moved into Ethiopia as well. They are a
- 17:22Speaker 1: part of what's going on unfortunately, although I do want
- 17:26Speaker 1: to say I have a lot of Eritrean friends who
- 17:30Speaker 1: do not agree with what is going on. You know
- 17:33Speaker 1: when when if you know the history of Eritrea and
- 17:36Speaker 1: how their government is run, it is the dictatorship Ethiopia.
- 17:41Speaker 1: I'm sorry. Eritrea hasn't voted in decades. They haven't been
- 17:45Speaker 1: given their their lawful right to vote in decades. So
- 17:49Speaker 1: I think Eritrean citizens really understand what the Tipwrye region
- 17:54Speaker 1: of Ethiopia is going through. So shout out to everyone
- 17:57Speaker 1: who has shown support UM and to those those who
- 18:00Speaker 1: haven't spoken up. You know, your your silence speaks volumes
- 18:04Speaker 1: and and and it just it's it's it shows, it's
- 18:09Speaker 1: it's speaks volumes. But I have yet to speak to
- 18:12Speaker 1: my mother. I still do not know where she is.
- 18:14Speaker 1: There's still a communication blackout in the area that she's in.
- 18:18Speaker 1: There has been no humanitarian aid allowed in the region.
- 18:22Speaker 1: So anyone who was forced to leave their homes without
- 18:26Speaker 1: money or anything like that, they are literally somewhere trying
- 18:30Speaker 1: to spend for themselves. Um. I did speak to my
- 18:33Speaker 1: father the other day, who is actually in the capital,
- 18:37Speaker 1: and even though he is okay, he is outside of
- 18:40Speaker 1: that region. Because of his ethnic background, he is a target. Um.
- 18:46Speaker 1: So he's you know, landlow as much as possible, staying cool, uh,
- 18:51Speaker 1: staying out of the way. But we do need more attention,
- 18:56Speaker 1: We need a lot more awareness. We need help, We
- 19:00Speaker 1: need the other We need other international countries to step
- 19:04Speaker 1: in and stop this because it is a humanitarian concern.
- 19:08Speaker 1: If this was an issue that the Ethiopian government had
- 19:12Speaker 1: with the tp Left organization, then what people are saying
- 19:17Speaker 1: is go for the TPL left, stop attacking the citizens
- 19:21Speaker 1: and and leaving them with no access to their money.
- 19:25Speaker 1: Medicines I'm talking about hospitals have been deserted because they
- 19:28Speaker 1: were bombs and and patients were there. There are stories
- 19:32Speaker 1: now finally coming out of what's going on with some
- 19:35Speaker 1: people and how some people have lost their lives because
- 19:37Speaker 1: again there's no media coverage allowed, so we we only
- 19:41Speaker 1: know what they're putting out um and with no communication,
- 19:47Speaker 1: it's it's difficult. So we are going to continue to
- 19:50Speaker 1: pray for Ethiopia. I need you guys to check out
- 19:52Speaker 1: hashtag stop war on tip rye, hashtag stop Abby. You
- 19:57Speaker 1: can definitely DM me at Underscore, Sue Solo s U
- 20:01Speaker 1: s O l O and I am wasn't happy to
- 20:03Speaker 1: get you guys some links, uh, you know, to get
- 20:06Speaker 1: you some information and also how you can help. But
- 20:09Speaker 1: let's talk about it. Let's be about it, and it's
- 20:12Speaker 1: Black lives matter. That means that all black lives matter
- 20:15Speaker 1: around the world. So let's still a weekend. I know
- 20:18Speaker 1: that's hard for you to talk about that. Yeah, it
- 20:23Speaker 1: is so draining, just you know, because the not knowing
- 20:26Speaker 1: part makes you think everything, you think of all the
- 20:29Speaker 1: possibilities that it could be, you know, and then of
- 20:31Speaker 1: course when you're watching you know, videos, online of of
- 20:35Speaker 1: refugees or different people being interviewed, and and you're actually
- 20:39Speaker 1: watching these videos and looking at these visitors and looking
- 20:43Speaker 1: for your family just in case they're there. Is gut wrenching.
- 20:47Speaker 1: And when I tell you, I have been so low
- 20:50Speaker 1: on energy the last three three four days. At this point,
- 20:53Speaker 1: I just think it's all catching up. But UM, the
- 20:56Speaker 1: work continues. We're gonna continue to bring awareness until we
- 21:00Speaker 1: can bring peace, and that's just what it is. Prayers
- 21:03Speaker 1: up man. I'm glad that you were at least able
- 21:05Speaker 1: to speak to your father and to know that he
- 21:08Speaker 1: was okay. And he's out there as well as your mother,
- 21:12Speaker 1: but not in the same place. But hopefully, UH, there
- 21:16Speaker 1: can be you know, somehow, some way, maybe he can
- 21:19Speaker 1: find her, or they go cross paths or something. UM,
- 21:23Speaker 1: just praying for that. We have to make sure we
- 21:27Speaker 1: do our due diligence and report that, so thank you
- 21:30Speaker 1: for that. Updates to UH, We'll be back with more
- 21:33Speaker 1: of the ball Alert Show. We'll be right back with
- 21:36Speaker 1: more of the Baller Alert Show. Message I is time
- 21:44Speaker 1: for Baller mail. I'm dming you from a fake account
- 21:50Speaker 1: because you know me, okay, I'm an industry female back
- 21:54Speaker 1: and forth between Houston and Atlanta. I'm finding it hard
- 21:57Speaker 1: to keep a man who isn't intimidated by my job
- 22:00Speaker 1: in the industry. I am constantly around Make A Big celebrities,
- 22:04Speaker 1: and I had to deal with them on the regular.
- 22:07Speaker 1: My most recent man decided to fall back from the
- 22:09Speaker 1: relationship because he said it was too much to deal with.
- 22:12Speaker 1: He worked a very corporate job, set schedule off weekends,
- 22:17Speaker 1: whereas my schedule isn't set at all. I work around
- 22:20Speaker 1: the clock and whenever I get a very important call.
- 22:24Speaker 1: I've dated within the industry too, but that didn't work
- 22:27Speaker 1: either because we never had time for each other. What's
- 22:30Speaker 1: a hard working woman to do? M hmm, well, let's
- 22:33Speaker 1: head baby girl. There there's a term my grandma used
- 22:38Speaker 1: to say, you make time for what you want. Okay. Now,
- 22:43Speaker 1: I didn't understand that until I met a woman to
- 22:47Speaker 1: put me in the right mental framework. Okay, you got
- 22:51Speaker 1: to set boundaries around your life. Back, Okay, you need
- 22:54Speaker 1: to set boundaries. So I'll give you a small example.
- 22:59Speaker 1: I'd like to say Tanisha because that's the name of
- 23:02Speaker 1: my wife. So if you hear the word tenisia, that's
- 23:04Speaker 1: me speaking on my soul. Nat so me and Tnisia
- 23:08Speaker 1: had to sit down and I said, hey, baby, you
- 23:10Speaker 1: know I want to spend time with you. I want
- 23:12Speaker 1: to still date you, you know, even though we are married. Um,
- 23:16Speaker 1: what can I do? We came up to agreement. Every
- 23:19Speaker 1: other Saturday is date night. My phone is on solid.
- 23:23Speaker 1: Matter of fact, she has my phone. And on Sundays
- 23:27Speaker 1: I don't do a damn thing, even though Sunday in
- 23:30Speaker 1: Atlanta is the most important day in Atlanta. So you
- 23:34Speaker 1: gotta set boundaries. Now. I don't know how that's gonna
- 23:37Speaker 1: work for you, but if you don't, your love life,
- 23:41Speaker 1: your love life is gonna fall to the wayside. Now.
- 23:43Speaker 1: I don't know if you want to be loved by somebody,
- 23:47Speaker 1: but if you do, I wish that to happen. If
- 23:50Speaker 1: I was you, I would start sending boundaries around. You know, hey,
- 23:54Speaker 1: on x y Z, I'm going out of town for
- 23:57Speaker 1: x y Z. Or if you find another situation ration
- 24:00Speaker 1: you guys communicate on making sure you date each other.
- 24:04Speaker 1: I think a lot of people that get in relationships
- 24:06Speaker 1: forget to date each other. And we have calendars. In
- 24:10Speaker 1: my eyes are calendars. We got uh Texas reminders and
- 24:14Speaker 1: everything going on. So I just think, Um, that's a job.
- 24:17Speaker 1: It's a job being a relationship. So if you're not
- 24:19Speaker 1: prepared to handle what comes with the job of a relationship,
- 24:24Speaker 1: then you shouldn't be in a relationship. So I think,
- 24:26Speaker 1: right now and enjoy being single, Uh, focus on yourself,
- 24:31Speaker 1: and then when you find another situation. I think, if
- 24:34Speaker 1: y'all can work together, create a dope schedule that works
- 24:38Speaker 1: out for the both people, you gonna have to shut down. You.
- 24:40Speaker 1: You can't make all the money and then not be
- 24:43Speaker 1: happy in a relationship. You're gonna have to make sure
- 24:46Speaker 1: that relationship. Uh, you know what I'm saying. Blossoms and booms,
- 24:49Speaker 1: you know what I'm saying. So it's gonna be some
- 24:51Speaker 1: time where you got have to tell some people know
- 24:54Speaker 1: so I do it all the time. I'm pretty sure
- 24:57Speaker 1: you're probably not used to that because that yes, eat
- 25:00Speaker 1: wools a bag and I'm talking about not a lutie
- 25:03Speaker 1: bounds about a large bag. So I'm talking about money.
- 25:06Speaker 1: So sometimes you have to say no, you know what
- 25:09Speaker 1: I'm saying, And it's gonna be yes over here, gonna
- 25:13Speaker 1: be a way more than yes is less nose. I
- 25:16Speaker 1: mean unless yes is over here because you know what
- 25:19Speaker 1: I'm saying, what's more important to you now? The money
- 25:23Speaker 1: is more important all over there. Just know this family
- 25:28Speaker 1: and lifestyle and being with somebody that ain't gonna be
- 25:32Speaker 1: what you wanted to be. So I think you need
- 25:35Speaker 1: to decide. I think you need to put some boundaries
- 25:38Speaker 1: in place. And if you and you have to bude
- 25:40Speaker 1: by those boundaries, don't you know what I'm saying. Set
- 25:42Speaker 1: boundaries in place, and then uh, Kanye West calls you,
- 25:47Speaker 1: and then you'd be like, all right, baby, I know
- 25:48Speaker 1: we were just going to go out, but we can't.
- 25:51Speaker 1: I gotta go to Kanye West. You don't give a
- 25:53Speaker 1: damn about no Kanye West. He won't his tie. And
- 25:57Speaker 1: it's how ironic is it? A lay is d M
- 26:01Speaker 1: is talking to me about about her man wanted to
- 26:04Speaker 1: spend time with her when it's usually the opposite. Damn,
- 26:11Speaker 1: Ladies got jobs. You know what I'm saying, Dope, that's dope,
- 26:15Speaker 1: But hey, what you want what you wanna do? Now?
- 26:17Speaker 1: But but but you're but wait where You're absolutely right.
- 26:21Speaker 1: People make time for what they want to make time for.
- 26:24Speaker 1: That is the gym and this whole thing, absolutely right.
- 26:28Speaker 1: We gotta figure it out I just think, you know,
- 26:31Speaker 1: if I can say one last thing, I think, uh,
- 26:35Speaker 1: we always chase our goals. We you know, and you
- 26:38Speaker 1: seem like a very gold driven person. But one thing
- 26:42Speaker 1: my grandma always told me, this is what kept me
- 26:45Speaker 1: grounded and humble. Don't chase that dream so hard that
- 26:48Speaker 1: you lose your family in the process. Like you'll you'll
- 26:52Speaker 1: be in that tunnel vision and then sometimes you'll forget
- 26:56Speaker 1: that you have friends and family around you that sometimes
- 26:59Speaker 1: you need to lean on. You know what I'm saying.
- 27:02Speaker 1: And I can necessarily destroy a lot of the um
- 27:08Speaker 1: dope relationships that you probably you know, push to the
- 27:11Speaker 1: side because oh, well, you know what, I don't need
- 27:15Speaker 1: him anywhere. I'm men go get this money. That should cool,
- 27:17Speaker 1: but you can get but so much, so many things
- 27:20Speaker 1: you can buy, but so many things without you being like,
- 27:22Speaker 1: you know what, I'm not having think about it. That's
- 27:26Speaker 1: all I got. Very well, said sir once again on
- 27:30Speaker 1: Baller mail. Send your problem, the problems, then your situation
- 27:38Speaker 1: ships at Ferrari. I say, problems that you can talk
- 27:41Speaker 1: about every day, not just relationships. You talk about advice
- 27:44Speaker 1: across the board. I haven't been through a lot what
- 27:47Speaker 1: love man yeah at Ferrari Simmons. If you need any
- 27:51Speaker 1: type of relationship advice, uh, situation, ship advice, job advice,
- 27:55Speaker 1: whatever you think, I'm just gonna give you a honest answer.
- 27:58Speaker 1: I'm just gonna give you what I think. And I
- 28:00Speaker 1: actually don't like giving advice. But what I try to
- 28:03Speaker 1: do is, um, you know your perspective. Okay, Well you
- 28:09Speaker 1: got any final thoughts or any free bands from your
- 28:13Speaker 1: bag of free bands? Rory, Um, I don't have you know,
- 28:18Speaker 1: I'm your future now now we don't have any we
- 28:22Speaker 1: don't have any free bands right now. I've kind of
- 28:24Speaker 1: been on my on my on my motivational vibes ladies.
- 28:27Speaker 1: So I just think, Um, what I want to give
- 28:30Speaker 1: everybody today is to live in your purpose. Man. I
- 28:32Speaker 1: think a lot of times people when you look around,
- 28:36Speaker 1: challenge everybody who's listening to me right now to when
- 28:38Speaker 1: you go out, pay attention to everybody, Pay attention to
- 28:42Speaker 1: your surrounds a little bit more. Be a little bit more,
- 28:45Speaker 1: uh attentive to what people are doing when they're driving
- 28:48Speaker 1: their car. A lot of people be stressed out, a
- 28:50Speaker 1: lot of people be upset by, people are mad, a
- 28:52Speaker 1: lot of people are got a lot going on, a
- 28:54Speaker 1: lot of people have are discouraged and you can see
- 28:58Speaker 1: it on they face when they're driving, when are on
- 29:00Speaker 1: the phone. And I was at this red lfe and
- 29:02Speaker 1: this girl was cussing somebody out on the phone. I
- 29:05Speaker 1: was like, damn, she's in a bad mood, you know.
- 29:08Speaker 1: And don't think it's just you going through the bs.
- 29:12Speaker 1: You feel me. Don't think it's just you that got issues.
- 29:14Speaker 1: Don't think it's just you that got money issues. It's
- 29:17Speaker 1: people with money that got money issues. There's people with
- 29:20Speaker 1: no money that got money issues. It's just a different
- 29:22Speaker 1: set of issues. So I would challenge everybody to living
- 29:25Speaker 1: your purpose because that brings some type of happiness to you.
- 29:28Speaker 1: It gives you a great mental state of mind. Um,
- 29:32Speaker 1: and if you start late, it's okay. You don't think
- 29:35Speaker 1: that you can't find your purpose at forty five years old.
- 29:39Speaker 1: You still can't do that. You still provide your purpose
- 29:42Speaker 1: at six teams, whatever age it is. So I challenge
- 29:45Speaker 1: you to look around your surroundings and pay attention to
- 29:47Speaker 1: what's going on, and be a little bit more humble
- 29:51Speaker 1: to your situations because it could always be worse. Be running,
- 29:58Speaker 1: like one of my favorite part lament. I think it's
- 30:01Speaker 1: parliament in Funkadelic songs. Everybody's got a little light under
- 30:05Speaker 1: the sun, everybody. And if I could quote future, he
- 30:11Speaker 1: got at Jesus. Bitch, don't get too comfortable, bitch, don't
- 30:16Speaker 1: get too comfortable. Free back uh people. Next week we
- 30:21Speaker 1: will be back. Uh. A lot of people will be
- 30:23Speaker 1: on a holiday break. But we're gonna give you a
- 30:25Speaker 1: holiday gift. And that's the gift of the ball Alert show.
