- 0:01Speaker 1: Why On Sky News This is Sharry Good Evening.
- 0:07Speaker 2: Tonight my exclusive interview with Hillel Ford, whose visa was
- 0:11Speaker 2: canceled by Tony Burke.
- 0:13Speaker 1: In an utterly disgraceful move.
- 0:16Speaker 2: Hillel will break his silence on tonight's show, revealing what
- 0:19Speaker 2: he was planning to speak about and how he was
- 0:22Speaker 2: actually traveling on his American passport. Also tonight, a Chinese
- 0:27Speaker 2: insider and former CIA director join Me Live to share
- 0:32Speaker 2: their insights into how Shijipin killed off a leading politician.
- 0:37Speaker 2: Also China's plans for Taiwan. That exclusive interview coming up,
- 0:42Speaker 2: plus the morally repulsive Greta Thunberg forced to sit down
- 0:47Speaker 2: and watch forty five minutes of the Hamas massacre from
- 0:50Speaker 2: October seven. My thoughts on this in a moment and
- 0:55Speaker 2: a reporter speaks after being shot with a rubber bullet
- 0:58Speaker 2: in the La Riots. Discuss this with Koshergata.
- 1:02Speaker 1: And Howard all unfolded.
- 1:04Speaker 2: But first tonight I have to start with the absurdity
- 1:08Speaker 2: of the world in which we live. From Greta Thunberg
- 1:11Speaker 2: to a prominent American Jew.
- 1:14Speaker 1: Being denied entry to Australia.
- 1:17Speaker 2: Greta is a morally repugnant and confused woman, and she
- 1:21Speaker 2: swapped her cause azure, from climate activism to hatred of
- 1:26Speaker 2: the Jewish state of Israel. On board a yacht, she
- 1:30Speaker 2: tried to go and save Gaza, not from the terrorists,
- 1:34Speaker 2: mind you, as Israel.
- 1:36Speaker 1: Is trying to do, but from Israel.
- 1:39Speaker 2: And when she was stopped and given a sandwich, she
- 1:42Speaker 2: released a video.
- 1:43Speaker 1: Claiming she'd been kidnapped.
- 1:45Speaker 2: I mean, the absurdity of this spectacle and the associated
- 1:49Speaker 2: media coverage. It's difficult to stomach, and I wanted to
- 1:53Speaker 2: ignore it, as I have done for most of the
- 1:56Speaker 2: past week. But why I'm not tonight is because I
- 1:59Speaker 2: think we need to speak about the trend where Greta
- 2:02Speaker 2: and many on the left have swapped their environmental crusades
- 2:07Speaker 2: to embrace hatred for Israel.
- 2:09Speaker 1: It is serious.
- 2:11Speaker 2: Yes, the Greta show is amusing in the way it
- 2:14Speaker 2: is when a two year old throws a spectacular tantrum
- 2:17Speaker 2: in a crowded airport and you can only shrug your
- 2:20Speaker 2: shoulders and laugh.
- 2:22Speaker 1: But the fact that.
- 2:23Speaker 2: So many on the left are turning hatred of Israel
- 2:27Speaker 2: into a fashionable cause is alarming and as a Jew,
- 2:32Speaker 2: dangerously frightening global warming protests abandoned, replaced by supporting her Muss,
- 2:40Speaker 2: who was recently as last month, killed a young protester.
- 2:45Speaker 1: Similar to Greta, climate action is now.
- 2:48Speaker 2: Forgotten and hatred of Zionists embraced. Never mind that Israel
- 2:54Speaker 2: is the only Jewish state in the entire world and
- 2:57Speaker 2: one that.
- 2:57Speaker 1: Is constantly under siege and terror attack.
- 3:01Speaker 2: Never mind that young Israeli women and entire families, including children,
- 3:06Speaker 2: were slaughtered and girls were raped by her Muss in
- 3:11Speaker 2: an actual genocide on October seven.
- 3:14Speaker 1: While Israel takes every effort to avoid.
- 3:17Speaker 2: Civilian casualties, going to great lengths to tell people to
- 3:21Speaker 2: leave before they take military action against terrorists, Now Greta's
- 3:27Speaker 2: contradictions and false claims also need to be called out.
- 3:31Speaker 2: The Israeli Foreign Ministry exposed her nonsense by revealing exactly
- 3:36Speaker 2: how much aid she was planning to deliver in what
- 3:39Speaker 2: they wonderfully described as her selfie yacht. They said, while
- 3:44Speaker 2: Greta and others attempted to stage a media provocation whose
- 3:48Speaker 2: sole purpose was to gain publicity and which included less
- 3:53Speaker 2: than a single truckload of aid, more than one two
- 3:57Speaker 2: hundred a trucks have entered Gaza from his Israel within
- 4:01Speaker 2: the past two weeks.
- 4:02Speaker 1: And in addition, the.
- 4:04Speaker 2: Gaza Humanitarian Foundation has distributed close to eleven million meals
- 4:11Speaker 2: directly to civilians in Gaza. The tiny amount of aid
- 4:15Speaker 2: that was on the yacht and not consumed by the
- 4:17Speaker 2: celebrities will be transferred to Gaza through real humanitarian channels.
- 4:24Speaker 2: Now you've probably seen today the headlines in the media.
- 4:28Speaker 1: That Greta claimed she'd been kidnapped.
- 4:31Speaker 2: Well, this is disappointing coverage because it's inaccurate and untruthful.
- 4:37Speaker 2: Because what actually happened was that the Israelis bordered the boat,
- 4:42Speaker 2: gave them all something to eat in some water, and
- 4:45Speaker 2: brought them safely to Israel.
- 4:48Speaker 3: And in this.
- 4:49Speaker 2: Footage I'm about to show you, and you can see
- 4:51Speaker 2: Greta's wearing a green hat and she doesn't even appear
- 4:54Speaker 2: to say thank you as the food, the sandwiches and
- 4:57Speaker 2: the water are distributed.
- 5:00Speaker 1: Yeah, Yet for all this.
- 5:28Speaker 2: Wonderful treatment, Greta claimed she'd been kidnapped in a pre
- 5:32Speaker 2: recorded video.
- 5:34Speaker 1: So she assumed she was going to be kidnapped. She
- 5:37Speaker 1: didn't bother to wait for the facts to play out.
- 5:41Speaker 4: My name is Githa Timber and I am from Sweden.
- 5:44Speaker 1: If you see this.
- 5:45Speaker 4: Video, we have been intercepted and kidnapped in international waters
- 5:50Speaker 4: by the Israeli occupational forces or forces that support israel I.
- 5:55Speaker 4: Urge all my friends, family and comrades to put I'm sure,
- 6:00Speaker 4: on the Swedish government to release me and the others
- 6:03Speaker 4: as soon as possible.
- 6:06Speaker 2: Absurd nonsense, and all of this after her must declared
- 6:10Speaker 2: war on Israel and still refuses to give back hostages
- 6:14Speaker 2: who actually were kidnapped, who Greta appears not to care
- 6:18Speaker 2: about it all. It was one thing for the left
- 6:21Speaker 2: wing politicians and the media to applaud her when she
- 6:24Speaker 2: first came to prominence as a schoolgirl who was skipping class,
- 6:29Speaker 2: But now she's a twenty two year old woman who
- 6:32Speaker 2: should know better, And in a stroke of genius, Israeli
- 6:36Speaker 2: Defense Minister Israel Katz says he'll make Greta and co
- 6:41Speaker 2: watch the forty five minute screening of the October seven
- 6:44Speaker 2: massacre before they're sent back to their home countries. Maybe
- 6:49Speaker 2: they'll learn something if they actually have the decency to
- 6:54Speaker 2: watch it.
- 6:55Speaker 1: But this entire saga and the Free.
- 6:58Speaker 2: Palestine movement behind it, has abandoned rationality and embraced the
- 7:03Speaker 2: absurd some former child activist, ignoring the actual terrorists who
- 7:09Speaker 2: raped women and who couldn't care less about her pet
- 7:12Speaker 2: cause of climate change as they spend billions firing weapons
- 7:17Speaker 2: at civilians in Israel. Now columnist and regular guest on
- 7:21Speaker 2: this program, Brendan O'Neil had some fun with this. In
- 7:24Speaker 2: an article, he described it as sanctimony on the high
- 7:28Speaker 2: seas and ocean going virtue signaling, and he says it's
- 7:31Speaker 2: an entirely self serving stunt masquerading as an act of charity.
- 7:36Speaker 2: He writes, as they take selfies of themselves sobbing into
- 7:39Speaker 2: their kefiars over what a uniquely barbarous nation Israel is.
- 7:45Speaker 2: Israel is literally saving Palestinian lives. They do moral pantomime
- 7:50Speaker 2: for likes and clicks. Israel does actual aid with very
- 7:55Speaker 2: little thanks, and as Brendan rightly points out, Israel is
- 8:01Speaker 2: feeding Gaza. On Thursday alone, one point four million meals
- 8:06Speaker 2: were distributed in Gaza. Israel and America's new aid center
- 8:11Speaker 2: that gives aid directly, that gives food directly to Palestinians
- 8:16Speaker 2: is working. When the United Nations distributed aid and food
- 8:21Speaker 2: her musk was looting it and then reselling some at
- 8:25Speaker 2: inflated prices that most Palestinians couldn't afford.
- 8:29Speaker 1: And now the.
- 8:30Speaker 2: United Nations is upset because they don't have control of
- 8:34Speaker 2: AID and.
- 8:35Speaker 1: Palestinians are actually getting food.
- 8:38Speaker 2: But Brendan O'Neil makes an excellent point that really resonates
- 8:43Speaker 2: with me, and it's partly why, as I say, I
- 8:46Speaker 2: wanted to speak about this topic tonight. He says, I
- 8:49Speaker 2: can't be the only person who finds it chilling that
- 8:53Speaker 2: the world's only Jewish nation has become the target of rich,
- 8:58Speaker 2: bored Westerners, fashionable rage. This activism isn't just risible, it's dangerous.
- 9:07Speaker 2: And this is how I feel, and I've been so
- 9:09Speaker 2: exasperated over it, despair that hating Israel has become the
- 9:15Speaker 2: cause de jure. The sole obsession with Israel is disturbing
- 9:20Speaker 2: in the media and in politics, and it's one the
- 9:24Speaker 2: Albaneze government has embraced, of course, seemingly without any care
- 9:29Speaker 2: for the Jewish Australians who've worked so hard to help
- 9:33Speaker 2: build our nation into what it is today, a society
- 9:37Speaker 2: that they.
- 9:38Speaker 1: Seem so intent on tearing down.
- 9:41Speaker 2: And so it's without surprise that prominent American Israeli entrepreneur
- 9:46Speaker 2: Hillel Ford has been banned from entering our country for
- 9:51Speaker 2: three years. The Albanese government and specifically Home Affairs Minister
- 9:57Speaker 2: Tony Burke, claim he's a.
- 9:59Speaker 1: Threat to our peace and safety.
- 10:02Speaker 2: The letter he was sent counseling his visa says, I
- 10:06Speaker 2: consider that segments of the Australian community would be concerned
- 10:10Speaker 2: about the visa holder's denial of mainstream media reporting of
- 10:14Speaker 2: the Palestinian killings and the inflammatory comments made by the
- 10:18Speaker 2: visa holder in multiple social media posts. I mean, is
- 10:23Speaker 2: this the freedom of speech police? You have to now
- 10:27Speaker 2: believe that there was a massacre in Gaza by Israel.
- 10:31Speaker 1: Well, I don't.
- 10:32Speaker 2: Of course, there wasn't a massacre. Tony Burke is taking
- 10:36Speaker 2: harmas propaganda as gospel instead of distorted lies from a
- 10:41Speaker 2: terror regime.
- 10:43Speaker 1: And the letter that Tony.
- 10:45Speaker 2: Burke sent him also points to other tweets where Hillel
- 10:48Speaker 2: discusses the percentage of those radicalized by fundamentalist Islam. Now,
- 10:54Speaker 2: there's extensive research into this area where studies analyze what
- 10:59Speaker 2: percentage of people view the nine to eleven attacks as justified.
- 11:04Speaker 2: So should you really be banned from Australia for sending
- 11:08Speaker 2: a tweet about a highly researched subject field that academics
- 11:13Speaker 2: in Australia and.
- 11:14Speaker 1: Around the world work on full time. I mean, it's bizarre.
- 11:19Speaker 2: None of his comments amount to hate speech or Islamophobia,
- 11:23Speaker 2: as Tony Burke claims, but they are pro Israel and
- 11:28Speaker 2: they do disagree with the preferred narrative of the Albanezi
- 11:32Speaker 2: government and the likes of Greta Thunberg. Now Hillel will
- 11:36Speaker 2: be on the show tonight. It's an exclusive interview and
- 11:40Speaker 2: he says he was flawed when his visa was canceled.
- 11:44Speaker 5: I literally had to read the email like five times.
- 11:47Speaker 5: I was like, there's no way that a government is
- 11:49Speaker 5: banning some random guy who writes on the internet. I'm
- 11:52Speaker 5: not a politician or anything. I had to read the
- 11:54Speaker 5: email literally five times. The topic of my talk wasn't
- 11:57Speaker 5: even politics or anything to do with gods or anything
- 12:01Speaker 5: like that. I was there to talk about how Israel
- 12:03Speaker 5: and Israeli innovation is changing the world and making the
- 12:05Speaker 5: world a better place.
- 12:06Speaker 6: What's inflammatory about that?
- 12:09Speaker 2: And you can watch that coming up shortly on the show.
- 12:11Speaker 2: But this has become a diplomatic incident now with the
- 12:14Speaker 2: United States involved, the US Ambassador to Israel, Mike Huckabee
- 12:19Speaker 2: has written personally to Tony Burke asking him to reconsider
- 12:23Speaker 2: his decision.
- 12:24Speaker 1: Now.
- 12:24Speaker 2: I've got a copy of Mike Kakibee's email and it
- 12:28Speaker 2: says mister Ford has both US and Israeli citizenship and
- 12:32Speaker 2: is a well known executive entrepreneur in the high tech
- 12:35Speaker 2: industry in both Israel and the United States. He also
- 12:40Speaker 2: posts extensive content on various social media platforms that he
- 12:44Speaker 2: uses for advocacy for the innocent civilians murdered on October
- 12:49Speaker 2: seven by Hamas and for the over two hundred and
- 12:52Speaker 2: fifty hostages taken that day. He says, mister Ford is
- 12:56Speaker 2: a highly respected member in his community and well known
- 12:59Speaker 2: in Israel. He says, while he holds strong views against
- 13:03Speaker 2: terror and the kind of massacre that occurred on October seven,
- 13:07Speaker 2: he would pose no threat to the people of Australia
- 13:11Speaker 2: by his actions or words. I mean, this is next
- 13:17Speaker 2: level the United States intervening in one of Tony Burke's
- 13:21Speaker 2: ridiculous visa decisions, and once again I feel the perplexity
- 13:25Speaker 2: of living in an upside down universe. And adding to
- 13:29Speaker 2: The irony of this is that there's been no action
- 13:32Speaker 2: at all from the Albanezy government against the hate preachers,
- 13:36Speaker 2: some of whom are in Tony Burke's own electorate. I mean,
- 13:40Speaker 2: remember this incident on the streets of lakember on October eight.
- 13:46Speaker 6: I'm it's a.
- 13:48Speaker 2: Day of courage, right, so that is tolerated. Yet a
- 14:09Speaker 2: pro Israel American Jew traveling on his United States passport,
- 14:13Speaker 2: who never ever promotes violence is denied entry. So yes,
- 14:19Speaker 2: this is a free speech issue, but it's far far
- 14:22Speaker 2: more concerning than that it's banning a prominent innocent Jewish
- 14:26Speaker 2: man from entering Australia. It seems to me and to
- 14:31Speaker 2: so many Australian Jews, that I know that this Albanezi
- 14:35Speaker 2: government is presiding over a terrifying period of racism and
- 14:40Speaker 2: anti Semitism.
- 14:42Speaker 1: This visa decision, which is.
- 14:45Speaker 2: As frightening as it is baffling, does nothing to help
- 14:48Speaker 2: the impression that the government is no friend of Israel
- 14:52Speaker 2: and no friend of Jews. And at least now the
- 14:56Speaker 2: whole world knows exactly what we're dealing with. And as
- 15:05Speaker 2: I said, Hillel Ford will be on my show shortly
- 15:07Speaker 2: for that exclusive interview but before we get to that,
- 15:10Speaker 2: let's bring in tonight's panel, Sky News host Joe Hildebrand
- 15:12Speaker 2: and former Liberal Senator Holly Hughes.
- 15:15Speaker 6: Good evening.
- 15:17Speaker 2: Hello, Now let's talk about the LA rights Now. Donald
- 15:20Speaker 2: Trump has deployed the National Guard to help deal with
- 15:24Speaker 2: these violent riots that have rocked Los Angeles. Hundreds of
- 15:28Speaker 2: people have swarmed the streets since the weekend protesting Trump's
- 15:32Speaker 2: immigration crackdown, and then today this was the moment that
- 15:36Speaker 2: Australian nine News journalist Lauren Tamasi was hit with a
- 15:41Speaker 2: rubber bullet.
- 15:45Speaker 6: Them through.
- 15:52Speaker 2: Not just shocking, and she spoke about that experience in
- 16:02Speaker 2: nine years tonight.
- 16:04Speaker 7: Peter, I'm okay. My cameraman Jimmy and I are both safe.
- 16:09Speaker 7: This is just one of the unfortunate realities of reporting
- 16:13Speaker 7: on these kinds of incidents. It has been a really
- 16:16Speaker 7: volatile day on the streets of Los Angeles.
- 16:21Speaker 1: Holly, let's start with you.
- 16:23Speaker 2: What do you make of the scenes We've been looking
- 16:25Speaker 2: this chaos in LA over the past few dates.
- 16:28Speaker 8: Well, I think Donald Trump said when he was coming
- 16:30Speaker 8: into office that he was going to crack down on
- 16:33Speaker 8: illegal immigrants, and that is what he is doing.
- 16:36Speaker 3: It's what he's said he's going to do.
- 16:38Speaker 8: Obviously, California has very democratic left leaning bent to it,
- 16:44Speaker 8: but also a high population of immigrants there who are
- 16:48Speaker 8: in effect legal because they aren't there on valid visas,
- 16:52Speaker 8: and so the protests are coming again, I would suggest,
- 16:56Speaker 8: and I saw in some of the footage there was
- 16:58Speaker 8: some Palestinian flags there. It's you know, they're just professional
- 17:02Speaker 8: protesters now, but it's now getting to the point that
- 17:06Speaker 8: the violence and the escalation that you're seeing from the protesters,
- 17:09Speaker 8: but then the National Guard coming in. I mean, I
- 17:11Speaker 8: think that's horrific what happened to that journalist, But you know,
- 17:14Speaker 8: I mean.
- 17:17Speaker 3: It's he's doing what he said he was going to do.
- 17:20Speaker 8: And as I said, I think it's the protesters now
- 17:23Speaker 8: just pick any cause to celeb they can, and you
- 17:27Speaker 8: will find when you look through some of that footage
- 17:29Speaker 8: there's Palestinian flags and all sorts of other things going
- 17:32Speaker 8: on in the bid to just continue to push left
- 17:35Speaker 8: wing causes.
- 17:36Speaker 9: With the omni cause, is it, brenda'neel. I think as
- 17:38Speaker 9: you're talking about before, coined the term the omni cause,
- 17:41Speaker 9: where you have to believe in this sort of whole
- 17:43Speaker 9: shopping trolley full of ideologies. So it doesn't matter if
- 17:46Speaker 9: it's illegal immigration or Palestine or you know, it was
- 17:50Speaker 9: Vietnam in the nineteen sixties and seventies, climate change at.
- 17:53Speaker 8: All this it was Tesla a couple of months ago,
- 17:56Speaker 8: and now I don't know, is that back now.
- 17:58Speaker 9: The whole point point is that it's a lot like
- 18:01Speaker 9: I mean, it's a lot like gang violence as well.
- 18:03Speaker 9: It's not like kids. You know, the peer pressure that
- 18:05Speaker 9: kids feel to join criminal gangs because that's how they
- 18:07Speaker 9: get status. And this is how young radicalized off and
- 18:11Speaker 9: overprivileged union students with no actual oppression themselves to bother them.
- 18:17Speaker 9: They have to sort of show how badass they are
- 18:21Speaker 9: or how you know, out there they are, how much
- 18:22Speaker 9: they care about they may and it's all about Conswiler
- 18:28Speaker 9: gets deported. Yes, have to stack the dishwasher themselves. And
- 18:33Speaker 9: this is the thing, because it is all about it
- 18:36Speaker 9: is not actually about the cause. It is all about
- 18:38Speaker 9: the protest. It's not actually about the outcomes for the
- 18:40Speaker 9: people they prepaent. Yeah, that's right, but it doesn't actually
- 18:43Speaker 9: I mean, these sorts of things bolster Trump. These things
- 18:47Speaker 9: actually help Donald Trump look more sane because these people
- 18:51Speaker 9: look insane by comparison. Now we've seen these protests, these
- 18:55Speaker 9: riots break out again and again on similar types of
- 18:58Speaker 9: issues we've had with Rodney King. Did that change anything?
- 19:01Speaker 9: Got ro J? Simpson off the hook? So maybe it did.
- 19:04Speaker 9: Then you've got then you had the Black Lives Matter protest.
- 19:06Speaker 9: Now what happened after that? Donald Trump and the Republicans
- 19:10Speaker 9: get re elected in this elected back again after everyone
- 19:14Speaker 9: thought they were toast. Because suddenly people who are looking
- 19:17Speaker 9: out from their homes and seeing the sort of crazy
- 19:18Speaker 9: lawlesses and seeing people say, oh, we're going to defund
- 19:21Speaker 9: the police are going, holy crap.
- 19:23Speaker 2: That's and I think we forget the absolute crime, the violence,
- 19:28Speaker 2: the mayhem of those Black Lives Matter protests.
- 19:31Speaker 1: Shop Front Oregon was on fire.
- 19:33Speaker 8: I mean basically parts of Seattle and Oregon were on
- 19:36Speaker 8: fire during that and became just completely anachemistic dates and
- 19:42Speaker 8: you know, people were having to leave because it was
- 19:44Speaker 8: completely unsafe to stay. And what was supposed to be
- 19:48Speaker 8: some form of utopia for these protesters just became in itself.
- 19:53Speaker 3: Assess bit of violence with rhyme.
- 19:55Speaker 2: Right, I'm going to come back to that topic as
- 19:56Speaker 2: well a bit later with kosher data. But obviously it's
- 19:59Speaker 2: a public holiday today for most people. The King's Birthday,
- 20:03Speaker 2: not the Queen's birthday. The King's birthday and our former
- 20:06Speaker 2: Prime Minister Scott Morrison was appointed a Companion of the
- 20:09Speaker 2: Order of Australia. It's the highest award in the King's
- 20:13Speaker 2: Birthday honors list. But there has been a backlash today
- 20:17Speaker 2: to this. I mean, Jenni Price and even want to
- 20:20Speaker 2: mention her name in the Herald. She wrote a piece
- 20:22Speaker 2: saying honoring Morrison makes a mockery of awards. There was
- 20:26Speaker 2: a change dot og petition set up which had more
- 20:29Speaker 2: than ten thousand signatures calling on the honor to be rescinded.
- 20:33Speaker 1: I mean, Holly, what do you think you know?
- 20:35Speaker 2: Fair enough, we all have a different view on how
- 20:37Speaker 2: the pandemic should have been handled.
- 20:39Speaker 1: In hindsight, this is a bit excessive, isn't it.
- 20:43Speaker 5: Oh.
- 20:43Speaker 8: I'm sure Jenna is a huge monarchist, and I'm sure
- 20:46Speaker 8: she's hugely supportive of the King's honors, and I mean,
- 20:49Speaker 8: I guess you know that's where her You know, she's
- 20:52Speaker 8: been so grossly offended by this because she would have
- 20:56Speaker 8: been such a huge monarchist and put such value on
- 20:58Speaker 8: these awards. I have no problem with Scott getting the award.
- 21:02Speaker 8: I think hindsight it's a wonderful thing. And the reality
- 21:04Speaker 8: is Scott Morrison kept an awful lot of people in
- 21:06Speaker 8: jobs and a lot of businesses afloat during a very
- 21:09Speaker 8: uncertain time in this country. My one feeling with these
- 21:13Speaker 8: awards overall is I think they should be for people
- 21:17Speaker 8: who go over and above, who contribute to their community
- 21:21Speaker 8: and the society for something they're not necessarily being paid
- 21:25Speaker 8: to do.
- 21:26Speaker 3: And I think getting on a and this is not
- 21:29Speaker 3: just Scott.
- 21:29Speaker 8: There's plenty of these people that have been given them,
- 21:31Speaker 8: a lot of journalists, a lot of sports people who
- 21:34Speaker 8: earn a lot of money doing their job receiving these
- 21:37Speaker 8: sorts of awards and honors.
- 21:39Speaker 9: Yeah, I agree with that. I have to say I
- 21:41Speaker 9: have no problem with I mean, I don't know why
- 21:42Speaker 9: people get so upset about something happening to someone else
- 21:45Speaker 9: that doesn't affect them at all. Like you're going to
- 21:48Speaker 9: go you're going to go through the entire I actually did, obviously,
- 21:51Speaker 9: but go through the entire awards list and say, oh
- 21:53Speaker 9: I don't approve of that one, or I don't know
- 21:55Speaker 9: what's he Professor of again, Oh, I don't know if
- 21:57Speaker 9: he so like, of course people are going to get them.
- 22:00Speaker 9: I'm with Paul Keating, who famously refused to accept one
- 22:03Speaker 9: after his prime miniship, saying no, I was just doing
- 22:05Speaker 9: my job.
- 22:06Speaker 1: So if you ever get this show, you'll be knocking.
- 22:08Speaker 6: Absolutely not.
- 22:08Speaker 9: I will take it. I will absolutely one percent take it.
- 22:11Speaker 9: But because I think it's kind of rude not to
- 22:14Speaker 9: like it's a bit sort of sanctimary.
- 22:15Speaker 6: Oh no, don't give me the award. Give it to someone.
- 22:18Speaker 9: But I don't think it's a choice I'll ever have
- 22:20Speaker 9: to make.
- 22:22Speaker 3: You think me it is.
- 22:23Speaker 9: It is the people, you know, it's the you know,
- 22:26Speaker 9: it's the lady who goes indoor knocks for the Salvos
- 22:28Speaker 9: or raises money for Viny's for the homeless. You know,
- 22:32Speaker 9: they are the people who should be getting the people
- 22:35Speaker 9: don't get recognition normally, although that's right. And the people
- 22:38Speaker 9: who don't do it because they're paid, people who do
- 22:40Speaker 9: it because you know, not as a vocation, not as
- 22:42Speaker 9: a profession, but.
- 22:43Speaker 8: All have a PR agency pushing it behind.
- 22:46Speaker 6: Yeah, that's that's right.
- 22:47Speaker 9: And my PR agency, by the way, is Hildebrand Public Affairs.
- 22:52Speaker 8: Counsel very Do you know what might be my last
- 22:55Speaker 8: job as a Senator in the next twenty days is
- 22:57Speaker 8: actually signing the King's Honors letters because I write to
- 23:00Speaker 8: every New South Wales recipient and congratulate them, and that
- 23:04Speaker 8: could be my very last job.
- 23:05Speaker 9: So it's Joe Underscore Hildebrand right, No, I no know.
- 23:08Speaker 3: It all comes on a beautiful letter, it does.
- 23:11Speaker 8: And I get in trouble if I know them and
- 23:13Speaker 8: I don't personalize it with their name, you know, so
- 23:16Speaker 8: I have to write little personal notes.
- 23:18Speaker 1: That's lovely. Now.
- 23:21Speaker 2: Scott Morrison has given interviews to mark his award, and
- 23:24Speaker 2: in one of them he told The Australian that the
- 23:26Speaker 2: weaponization of what happened over the alleged events in Parliament
- 23:30Speaker 2: House with Britney Higgins, which has played out in the courts,
- 23:34Speaker 2: he says, the weaponization of these things politically by my opponents,
- 23:37Speaker 2: both within the Parliament.
- 23:38Speaker 1: And outside it.
- 23:39Speaker 2: He says he thinks that was a new Lowmark and
- 23:42Speaker 2: I think, looking back, it is shocking how this rape
- 23:46Speaker 2: and we can say it was a rape because just
- 23:47Speaker 2: as Michael Lee found that in all probability it was
- 23:50Speaker 2: a rape, Holly, looking back, it's shocking how this rape
- 23:53Speaker 2: of a young woman was weaponized against the Coalition government.
- 23:58Speaker 8: Well, I was sitting in the Senate chamber when the
- 24:01Speaker 8: attacks were occurring on Linda Reynolds, and the absolute bombardment
- 24:05Speaker 8: and the treatment of her was like nothing I've ever
- 24:08Speaker 8: seen before in my life. It was completely politicized, it
- 24:12Speaker 8: was completely weaponized. It was absolutely disgraceful what happened. But look,
- 24:17Speaker 8: you know, one day of mediation, Brittany get a settlement
- 24:20Speaker 8: because she was never going to work again. But isn't
- 24:22Speaker 8: it great to hear she's feeling so much better and
- 24:24Speaker 8: got a job.
- 24:25Speaker 9: Yeah. I think I've found the whole thing very very sickening,
- 24:29Speaker 9: to be honest, that the Christian Porter stuff in the
- 24:32Speaker 9: way that that was handled. These are incredibly serious matters.
- 24:35Speaker 9: You do not use rape as a political football, and
- 24:39Speaker 9: people doing that I think have been very very chastened
- 24:43Speaker 9: by what has actually transpired since, I mean, if you
- 24:47Speaker 9: actually sit there. I was in the room when Justice
- 24:49Speaker 9: Michael Lee handed down his verdict. I listened to it
- 24:52Speaker 9: across the two or three hours.
- 24:53Speaker 1: He was damning about it.
- 24:55Speaker 9: He was absolutely notwithstanding the very right findings he made
- 24:59Speaker 9: about what actually happened, but his description of the behavior,
- 25:04Speaker 9: the way it was handled, the way it was reported,
- 25:07Speaker 9: should be extremely sobering reading. And it is not an
- 25:10Speaker 9: endorsement of those who sought to use this for political marlins.
- 25:13Speaker 2: Exactly the whole thing, as I've reported at length here
- 25:16Speaker 2: and broadcast secret tapes, the whole thing was exploited for
- 25:21Speaker 2: political purposes, not by Brittany, but by others around her,
- 25:25Speaker 2: and by certainly labor politicians. And now, just before we go,
- 25:29Speaker 2: you might have heard the news today that a show
- 25:31Speaker 2: we all never watch, the Project, has been can This
- 25:34Speaker 2: is why it's been canned. No one ever watches it,
- 25:37Speaker 2: and it's going to be replaced by a one hour
- 25:39Speaker 2: night they show down the track.
- 25:41Speaker 1: But Joe, I wanted to raise it with.
- 25:42Speaker 2: You because your good friend Sarah Harris has lost her job.
- 25:45Speaker 2: She's a wonderful journalist Center and so it's a bittersweet
- 25:51Speaker 2: because she's now out of work, and she did a
- 25:53Speaker 2: terrific job.
- 25:55Speaker 9: She did a great job. She was really good, and
- 25:56Speaker 9: I think full credit to I hope I'm not speaking
- 25:59Speaker 9: out a school, full credit to Channel ten. They did
- 26:01Speaker 9: sort of, you know, try to find something else for her.
- 26:03Speaker 9: But she is just exhausted, she's got a really young family.
- 26:06Speaker 9: She was flying down to Melbourne every single week, spending
- 26:10Speaker 9: half the week down there. She was missing her two
- 26:12Speaker 9: young boys. I talked to her just about every day. Fact,
- 26:15Speaker 9: I just got a miss call from her literally five
- 26:17Speaker 9: minutes ago and had to text her and say I'm
- 26:18Speaker 9: on air. But she just loves her boys so much.
- 26:21Speaker 9: She wants she needs to spend more time in them.
- 26:23Speaker 9: She's absolutely exhausted and so she just felt that she
- 26:28Speaker 9: needed to have a clean break in sort to just recalibrate.
- 26:31Speaker 9: So I'm sure she'll be back in one form or another.
- 26:34Speaker 6: But she was.
- 26:35Speaker 9: I think we could probably all agree that she was
- 26:37Speaker 9: definitely the best thing about that show, and she's a
- 26:40Speaker 9: top sick.
- 26:40Speaker 1: She'll be back, and it's a bittersweet for her. At
- 26:42Speaker 1: least you'll get some family time now.
- 26:44Speaker 9: I think she's actually quite she's really relieved.
- 26:45Speaker 1: I think, to be honest, you have to be away
- 26:47Speaker 1: from her.
- 26:48Speaker 8: I've got some time in my diary.
- 26:49Speaker 1: So we lunches Day.
- 26:54Speaker 9: Five from Channel ten. Not the end of the world, all.
- 26:59Speaker 1: Right, Polly Hughes join hit around.
- 27:01Speaker 3: Great to see, Thank you very much.
- 27:03Speaker 2: Now let's return to Tony Bak's decision to target Jewish
- 27:07Speaker 2: American Hillel Fuld, barring him from entering Australia not just
- 27:11Speaker 2: now but for three years. This is, as I said,
- 27:14Speaker 2: a clear attack on free speech. It also risks a
- 27:17Speaker 2: diplomatic incident with both Israel and America.
- 27:20Speaker 1: I spoke exclusive, exclusively with Hillel Ford a little earlier.
- 27:26Speaker 2: Hillel, thank you so much for speaking to us after
- 27:28Speaker 2: this appalling decision. What was your reaction when you found
- 27:32Speaker 2: out that the Albanezy government here in Australia had banned
- 27:36Speaker 2: you from entering our country?
- 27:39Speaker 5: And literally I had to read the email like five times.
- 27:41Speaker 5: I was like, there's no way that a government is
- 27:43Speaker 5: banning some random guy who writes on the internet. I'm
- 27:46Speaker 5: not a politician or anything. I had to read the
- 27:48Speaker 5: email literally five times.
- 27:49Speaker 2: Well, in that letter they point to some of your
- 27:52Speaker 2: views that they claim amount to Islamophobia or hate speech?
- 27:56Speaker 2: Is that the tone of what you usually speak about online?
- 28:00Speaker 5: Anybody who follows me online knows that my tweets are
- 28:03Speaker 5: error violent or discriminatory. In fact, the tweet that they
- 28:07Speaker 5: quoted first in this document was me denying that there
- 28:10Speaker 5: was a massacre in Gaza last week, which we now
- 28:12Speaker 5: know there wasn't. So again, it was accurate, and something
- 28:15Speaker 5: that I'm very very careful about in terms of my
- 28:17Speaker 5: reporting is to be accurate. So there's no Islamophobia in
- 28:20Speaker 5: my tweets, there's no incitement, there's no racism of any kind.
- 28:23Speaker 5: It really is just a ridiculous excuse to ban someone
- 28:26Speaker 5: who has pro is rel.
- 28:26Speaker 2: Views, and that's what it comes down to. You ask
- 28:29Speaker 2: strongly pro Israel.
- 28:31Speaker 5: That's right, And let's not forget this is an important
- 28:34Speaker 5: point that not many people reported on, which is that
- 28:37Speaker 5: I applied for my visa on my American passport. It's
- 28:40Speaker 5: really absolutely nothing to do with the fact that I'm Israeli.
- 28:42Speaker 5: So what they're doing is banning an American citizen fromentering Australia,
- 28:45Speaker 5: which is a whole different level of crazy.
- 28:47Speaker 2: The letter from the Albanezy government includes a couple of
- 28:50Speaker 2: examples of what they claim or your controversial views. You
- 28:54Speaker 2: talk about the number of people radicalized in one comment
- 28:58Speaker 2: on X. In another you say differentiating between Gazans and
- 29:03Speaker 2: Hamas is dishonest.
- 29:04Speaker 1: Do you think these views are so.
- 29:06Speaker 2: Controversial that they should prevent you from visiting Australia for
- 29:11Speaker 2: three years?
- 29:12Speaker 6: As far as Gazans.
- 29:13Speaker 5: We had thousands of Gazans coming to Israel on October seventh.
- 29:16Speaker 5: Most of Gaza elected Kamas, and many of them, as
- 29:20Speaker 5: you saw, paraded the hostages.
- 29:22Speaker 6: Around when they were being released.
- 29:24Speaker 5: So we're talking about a society that's deeply, deeply indoctrinated.
- 29:27Speaker 5: Not to say, by the way, this is important that
- 29:29Speaker 5: there are no innocent people in Gaza. Of course there are,
- 29:31Speaker 5: but that is a completely irrelevant point because again, there's
- 29:36Speaker 5: never been a war in which innocent people were not killed.
- 29:38Speaker 5: And it's sad, but that's the reality of war. Israel
- 29:40Speaker 5: did not want this war. Israel did not start any
- 29:43Speaker 5: war ever. But Israel also never lost any more, and
- 29:45Speaker 5: that will be the case in this war as well.
- 29:47Speaker 2: And Hillo, whether people agree with your views is actually
- 29:50Speaker 2: beside the point. This is a free speech issue and
- 29:52Speaker 2: surely not everyone who comes into the country has to
- 29:55Speaker 2: agree with the Home Affairs Minister Tony Burke.
- 29:59Speaker 6: Right, where do you draw?
- 30:00Speaker 5: I mean, anybody who's pro Israel opinions won't be allowed
- 30:02Speaker 5: into Australia. It's it's obviously a dangerous slippery slope. It's
- 30:06Speaker 5: not something that I think a government should you know,
- 30:08Speaker 5: partake in at all. But I gotta be honest. Our enemies,
- 30:12Speaker 5: the pro Hamas crowd, that's something kind of brilliant. They
- 30:15Speaker 5: align their agenda and their narrative with free speech, which
- 30:17Speaker 5: is something they do quite often. There's nothing, you know,
- 30:20Speaker 5: free speech about inciting actual violence like globalize the anti file,
- 30:25Speaker 5: which literally means a violent uprising on the global stage
- 30:28Speaker 5: against Jews. And yet that's you know, not frowned. The
- 30:31Speaker 5: pinebo and Hillo fold says that there was no massacre
- 30:34Speaker 5: in Gaza, which again is a fact all of a sudden.
- 30:36Speaker 5: That's hate speech, that's in Islamophobia.
- 30:38Speaker 6: It's absurd.
- 30:40Speaker 2: The decision from Tony Burkosso says, you have the potential
- 30:43Speaker 2: to use your speaking circuit to make inflammatory statements which
- 30:47Speaker 2: can incite discord.
- 30:49Speaker 1: So there's concern here about.
- 30:51Speaker 2: The way the pro Palestinian activists might respond to what
- 30:54Speaker 2: you're saying.
- 30:55Speaker 1: I mean, that's victim blaming, isn't it. Isn't it.
- 30:58Speaker 2: It's stopping the Jew coming to the country in case
- 31:01Speaker 2: the pro Palestinian crowd grow violent.
- 31:04Speaker 6: That's right, it's absolutely absurd.
- 31:06Speaker 5: But furthermore, the topic of my talk wasn't even politics
- 31:12Speaker 5: or anything to do with gods or anything like that.
- 31:14Speaker 5: I was there to talk about how Israel and Israeli
- 31:16Speaker 5: innovation is changing the world and making the world a
- 31:18Speaker 5: better place.
- 31:19Speaker 6: What's inflammatory about that?
- 31:20Speaker 2: Well, the United States government has had to try and
- 31:23Speaker 2: step in and implore the Australian government to reconsider its
- 31:26Speaker 2: decision on your visa. Have you heard whether there's been
- 31:29Speaker 2: a response to America's letter.
- 31:32Speaker 6: I'm not gonna lie.
- 31:32Speaker 5: It's kind of funny that I've become a diplomatic crisis,
- 31:35Speaker 5: but yeah, Ambassador Huckaby is a friend both of mine
- 31:39Speaker 5: and my families and of the Jewish people in the
- 31:41Speaker 5: State of Israel.
- 31:41Speaker 6: So he was the first person that I.
- 31:42Speaker 5: Emailed to let him know what was going on. He
- 31:44Speaker 5: wrote back a beautiful letter, which was sent to the
- 31:48Speaker 5: government in Australia, of course, and I had not heard back.
- 31:50Speaker 5: Not only did I now hear back as a result
- 31:52Speaker 5: of his letter, but I appealed, you know when about
- 31:54Speaker 5: it the normal way. And in addition to Ambassador Huckabee,
- 31:57Speaker 5: we have Israel's foreign minister, we have Israel's warmer ambassador
- 32:01Speaker 5: to the UN, and many many other diplomatic channels that
- 32:03Speaker 5: are trying to solve this problem. I've not heard back
- 32:05Speaker 5: a peep, not a word from the Australian government.
- 32:08Speaker 2: And I should mention, while this has become a major
- 32:10Speaker 2: diplomatic incident. Now, you didn't even want publicity about this.
- 32:14Speaker 2: You told me about this decision on what would have
- 32:16Speaker 2: been Friday lunchtime your time, Friday night, my time, but
- 32:20Speaker 2: you didn't want me to report it. You wanted it
- 32:22Speaker 2: resolved behind the scenes. You weren't looking for this to
- 32:26Speaker 2: become a big issue.
- 32:27Speaker 6: That's right.
- 32:28Speaker 5: I have no reason to throw anyone under the bus
- 32:31Speaker 5: as long as it's solved. Now it's Monday and I'm
- 32:34Speaker 5: supposed to be flying tomorrow, so clearly this will not
- 32:36Speaker 5: be solved, especially since there's a holiday in Australia. So
- 32:39Speaker 5: fair to assume that this is not going to be solved.
- 32:41Speaker 5: And so now is the time to let the world
- 32:43Speaker 5: know that this is pure antisemitism. And if you need
- 32:45Speaker 5: evidence to that effect, i'll just mention that. Again, not
- 32:48Speaker 5: something that many people have reported, but I did receive
- 32:51Speaker 5: through a channel, not directly, from an official in Australia
- 32:54Speaker 5: who said to me, if we can reverse this, and
- 32:57Speaker 5: I can't promise that we can, but if we can
- 32:59Speaker 5: reverse this, I need you to commit to not discussing
- 33:02Speaker 5: your dead brother. Literally, that's what they told me. You
- 33:05Speaker 5: could come, but you can't mention your brother who's murdered
- 33:07Speaker 5: by an Arab kid.
- 33:08Speaker 6: And I was like, are you kidding me right now?
- 33:10Speaker 1: That's insane? Can you tell us who said that?
- 33:13Speaker 5: I received it indirectly, so I don't actually know the
- 33:15Speaker 5: name of the person. I received it from the people
- 33:17Speaker 5: who are flying me in who asked me. I was
- 33:19Speaker 5: told that if you can commit to that, we might
- 33:21Speaker 5: be able to reverse the decision. I didn't speak directly
- 33:23Speaker 5: to the persons. I don't have a name for you,
- 33:24Speaker 5: but it came from the highest levels in Australia.
- 33:28Speaker 1: Absolutely absurd.
- 33:29Speaker 2: That is so offensive to ask you not to speak
- 33:32Speaker 2: about your brother who was killed. What sort of reputation
- 33:36Speaker 2: is Australia getting in Israel and the United States when
- 33:39Speaker 2: it comes to this issue.
- 33:41Speaker 5: So I think Australia is jumping on the bandwagon of
- 33:43Speaker 5: all the Jew hatred across the world. Right we see parliaments,
- 33:46Speaker 5: whether it's in Canada and the UK or many other
- 33:48Speaker 5: countries South Africa. Of course, you know this is what
- 33:51Speaker 5: happens throughout our history. You know, the Jew is scapegoaded
- 33:54Speaker 5: and everyone jumps in and joins the party. So this
- 33:56Speaker 5: is not something you know that surprises anyone. But as
- 34:00Speaker 5: a general statement, it's shocking to me that I've seen
- 34:04Speaker 5: this level of anti sempitism in my lifetime. Again, this
- 34:07Speaker 5: is not something new we see in every generation, but
- 34:09Speaker 5: I a million year has never thought that I would
- 34:11Speaker 5: see this in my lifetime. And I'll tell you even furthermore.
- 34:13Speaker 5: On October seventh, as an optimistic guy, I said to myself,
- 34:17Speaker 5: if there's any silver lining here, it's that the world
- 34:19Speaker 5: will definitely stand alongside Israel. I mean Commas live streamed
- 34:22Speaker 5: that there's no scenario, I said to myself in which
- 34:25Speaker 5: the world doesn't stand with us, and that support for
- 34:27Speaker 5: Israel lasted about twenty four hours, probably less.
- 34:30Speaker 6: It's absurd.
- 34:30Speaker 5: It's absurd because not only is Israel an incredible country
- 34:35Speaker 5: that has done nothing but good in the world, but
- 34:36Speaker 5: the Jewish people as a nation have done so much
- 34:39Speaker 5: good in These anti Semites in general often use Israeli
- 34:43Speaker 5: technology to spread hatred against Israel, whether it's WICS websites
- 34:47Speaker 5: that they're building, BDS websites onto, which is a website
- 34:50Speaker 5: builder obviously an Israeli company, and many many other examples.
- 34:53Speaker 5: When you take a phone, when you take a picture
- 34:55Speaker 5: with your phone, dual lens technology on phones was developed
- 34:58Speaker 5: by in Israeli In ways berogation list obviously goes on.
- 35:01Speaker 5: So if they're going to hit on us, then stop
- 35:03Speaker 5: using our products.
- 35:05Speaker 2: Look, Hillo, I'm so sorry this has happened to you.
- 35:08Speaker 2: We're all sitting back in horror over this. We're ashamed
- 35:11Speaker 2: of our own government. Thank you so much for speaking
- 35:14Speaker 2: out and for your time tonight.
- 35:16Speaker 6: Thank you.
- 35:19Speaker 1: All right, still to come.
- 35:20Speaker 2: How elon Musk's revelations threaten the Trump administration.
- 35:23Speaker 1: Koshagada will discuss a little later, but.
- 35:26Speaker 2: First the Chinese insider and a former CIA director join
- 35:30Speaker 2: me live to reveal what they know about China's plans
- 35:33Speaker 2: for Taiwan.
- 35:34Speaker 1: That's next. Welcome back. Well, when I was investigating the.
- 35:42Speaker 2: Origins of COVID nineteen in wu Han, I met Diamond Lu.
- 35:47Speaker 2: She was one of the first to discover there was
- 35:49Speaker 2: a new coronavirus, and this was well before it was
- 35:51Speaker 2: made public.
- 35:53Speaker 1: She tried to alert the White House.
- 35:56Speaker 10: I learned there was an unusual exercise the Chinese government
- 36:01Speaker 10: during the military games, and so I told Diamond about
- 36:06Speaker 10: the possibility of the Chinese government using some strange weapons,
- 36:12Speaker 10: including biological weapons, because I knew they were doing experiments
- 36:18Speaker 10: of that sort.
- 36:21Speaker 1: There was nothing in the news at the time. I
- 36:23Speaker 1: mean it was no one had mentioned.
- 36:25Speaker 11: A think no, no one had mentioned the d.
- 36:30Speaker 2: But the White House didn't act quickly enough. Now Diamond
- 36:34Speaker 2: is married to Bob Sutinger. He's former CIA also a
- 36:38Speaker 2: former Deputy National Intelligence Officer on the National Intelligence Council,
- 36:43Speaker 2: and he's just released a book. Ten years he's been
- 36:46Speaker 2: working on this book, and it's on China. It's called
- 36:49Speaker 2: The Conscience of the Party Who You Bung, China's communist reformer.
- 36:53Speaker 1: And I'm pleased to.
- 36:54Speaker 2: Say both Diamond and Bob are in Australia.
- 36:57Speaker 1: And join us live in studio. Welcome to you both. Diamond.
- 37:02Speaker 1: You know, we had so many conversations.
- 37:04Speaker 2: I worked with you quite closely over a couple of years,
- 37:07Speaker 2: but we've never actually met before because it was during
- 37:10Speaker 2: the COVID lockdown. So it's so wonderful to have you
- 37:12Speaker 2: here in Australia and meet you in person. I mean,
- 37:15Speaker 2: you think back to that time when you were trying
- 37:18Speaker 2: to alert the White House and there were some figures
- 37:21Speaker 2: like Matt Pottinger who took your warning seriously, but the
- 37:26Speaker 2: White House didn't act on it. Well.
- 37:29Speaker 11: The American government, as some say, is like a huge
- 37:34Speaker 11: aircraft carrier. It takes a while for it to get going.
- 37:39Speaker 11: And the NSC, especially in the person of Matt Parlinger,
- 37:46Speaker 11: the actor, very quickly, but to get the rest of
- 37:49Speaker 11: the US government to act it took a while.
- 37:53Speaker 2: And it wasn't just that they were slow to act,
- 37:55Speaker 2: but it's that you were hearing. And it was true
- 37:58Speaker 2: that whistleblowers and doctors were being killed, but there was
- 38:02Speaker 2: this attitude in the West like that couldn't possibly be
- 38:06Speaker 2: true of the communist regime in China.
- 38:08Speaker 1: They couldn't possibly be killing whistleblowers.
- 38:12Speaker 11: Yes, well, that has something to do Starting with the
- 38:17Speaker 11: Carter administration. They tried to see the Chinese Communist Party
- 38:23Speaker 11: government as a normal government. But there's nothing normal about it.
- 38:29Speaker 11: No government can be normal when you killed tens of
- 38:33Speaker 11: millions of your own people. And that's what has done
- 38:38Speaker 11: to several very violent mass campaigns and the COVID pandemic.
- 38:50Speaker 11: You could actually put it down as one of the
- 38:53Speaker 11: mass campaigns, except at this point we don't know how
- 38:57Speaker 11: many people have died. It would be unions or even
- 39:02Speaker 11: tens of millions.
- 39:05Speaker 2: Bob, let's bring you in now in Australia, where in
- 39:08Speaker 2: a sense, on the front line, we've been dealing with
- 39:10Speaker 2: an increasingly aggressive China that's been seeking to intimidate in
- 39:15Speaker 2: our region. Just one example, the live fire exercises off
- 39:19Speaker 2: the coast of our country.
- 39:21Speaker 1: With no warning, no warning at all.
- 39:24Speaker 2: It was an aeroplane pilot that alerted the Australian government.
- 39:28Speaker 2: What is China seeking to do here? Why is it
- 39:31Speaker 2: behaving this way at this time?
- 39:34Speaker 12: I think the probably the main reason why they're doing
- 39:38Speaker 12: this has to do more with Taiwan than with Australia.
- 39:42Speaker 12: They are well aware that the United States is the
- 39:44Speaker 12: primary backer of Taiwan, but they also know that Australia
- 39:48Speaker 12: and the United States have very close and longstanding ties.
- 39:51Speaker 12: What China has seen operating in Ukraine is the drawing
- 39:57Speaker 12: together of a coalition of a sort, maybe not a
- 40:00Speaker 12: very tight one, but one that draws upon other allies
- 40:03Speaker 12: of the United States. And they don't want Australia to
- 40:06Speaker 12: participate in anything in the neighborhood of Taiwan. They don't
- 40:10Speaker 12: want a reaction from Australia that would support either Taiwan's
- 40:13Speaker 12: quester independence or United States actions there. So they're sending
- 40:18Speaker 12: a warning and they're showing a capability. They haven't done
- 40:21Speaker 12: this before, but they want people in Australia to know
- 40:24Speaker 12: that they can and that they can appear on your
- 40:27Speaker 12: shore without much notice, and they can be a factor
- 40:30Speaker 12: in your decision making.
- 40:33Speaker 2: I mean, the very presence of Trump was meant to
- 40:36Speaker 2: act as a deterrent two figures like Shijingping.
- 40:41Speaker 1: But we can now see that he is a pacifist.
- 40:44Speaker 1: He doesn't like war.
- 40:46Speaker 2: So do you think this is still so much of
- 40:48Speaker 2: a deterrent to she when he's thinking about whether to
- 40:52Speaker 2: invade or reunify Taiwan.
- 40:55Speaker 12: I don't know whether that is an active factor in
- 40:58Speaker 12: his thinking. I don't obviously, I don't know what he's thinking,
- 41:01Speaker 12: but I'm sure he understands because President Trump has said
- 41:05Speaker 12: it repeatedly that he likes to make deals, and like
- 41:09Speaker 12: all presidents, he likes to believe that his association with
- 41:14Speaker 12: leaders of other nations can become a sort of a friendship, uh,
- 41:17Speaker 12: and that can act as an influence on what that
- 41:24Speaker 12: president needs to do. Who needs to do or not
- 41:26Speaker 12: to do. So, I think that that that he, the
- 41:32Speaker 12: President Trump, wants to engage with she did being he
- 41:35Speaker 12: wants to take his measure. He knows he's tough. Uh.
- 41:38Speaker 12: He knows he's got a lot of problems economically and politically.
- 41:42Speaker 12: Uh and and therefore he is seeking to try to
- 41:46Speaker 12: ameliorate some of the pressures that are building up and
- 41:48Speaker 12: they've been pretty extreme. Uh and and to and to
- 41:51Speaker 12: bring the temperature down in the US China relationship.
- 41:55Speaker 2: Do I mean, I want to get your view. What
- 41:57Speaker 2: do you think we're going to see high out with Taiwan?
- 42:00Speaker 2: I mean, could it be an agreement, just a peaceful
- 42:04Speaker 2: reunification in a way like what happened with Hong Kong,
- 42:08Speaker 2: or do you think we might see military invasion?
- 42:12Speaker 1: Well the.
- 42:16Speaker 11: Communists, which in China course of a reunification is actually
- 42:24Speaker 11: it has to be accomplished through any invasion and it's
- 42:30Speaker 11: a long term ago. Scholars in the United States have
- 42:35Speaker 11: documented that they want the Taiwan since nineteen fifty, in
- 42:43Speaker 11: its words, an ideology. They want to control all Chinese
- 42:50Speaker 11: speaking world. They want to dominate the Chinese speaking world,
- 42:56Speaker 11: and Taiwan is the only Chinese speaking territory or I
- 43:03Speaker 11: would like to say a country that is not under
- 43:10Speaker 11: the CCP regime's control. So they would do it one
- 43:14Speaker 11: way of the other, as they have repeatedly said, they
- 43:18Speaker 11: would not rule out violent actions.
- 43:23Speaker 2: Do you think it could happen as early as twenty
- 43:25Speaker 2: twenty seven as some predict.
- 43:27Speaker 11: I would not use a time frame to predate because
- 43:34Speaker 11: there are many dynamic variables. One thing could slow it down,
- 43:40Speaker 11: another thing can speed it up. For instance, there's a
- 43:45Speaker 11: huge power struggle. Now there are many indications that there are.
- 43:52Speaker 1: There is a power.
- 43:54Speaker 11: Struggle going on.
- 43:56Speaker 1: With President She.
- 43:59Speaker 11: Perish Year is the target being struggled against. As long
- 44:05Speaker 11: as they are fighting with each other, they can't make
- 44:09Speaker 11: a decision about invasion. Now in that case, as long
- 44:14Speaker 11: they're fighting, Taiwan has more time. If Si Jinping wins
- 44:22Speaker 11: in this fight, he will speed up whatter for he
- 44:26Speaker 11: wants to do with Taiwan.
- 44:28Speaker 1: Yeah, I mean this.
- 44:29Speaker 2: Is fascinating because we never hear about this in the
- 44:31Speaker 2: mainstream media. Diamond Los just speaking about there that there's
- 44:35Speaker 2: this factional power struggle that President she in China is
- 44:39Speaker 2: dealing with. We're really out of time, But Bob, I
- 44:41Speaker 2: just want.
- 44:41Speaker 1: To ask you your opinion on that.
- 44:43Speaker 2: Because former Chinese Premier Lee died some say killed on
- 44:49Speaker 2: the instruction of President She. How does this play into
- 44:54Speaker 2: what Diamond's just been speaking about. We've got about thirty seconds.
- 44:57Speaker 12: It's an exascerbating factor. If there is a power struggle,
- 45:02Speaker 12: that issue will become a prominent issue in blaming hijin
- 45:07Speaker 12: pay for the chaos and the economic locations that are
- 45:11Speaker 12: taking place in China. And the unexplained death of Premier
- 45:16Speaker 12: League Ce Chiang is a very sore spot for a
- 45:20Speaker 12: lot of Chinese. Very few people believe his death was
- 45:23Speaker 12: as it was explained.
- 45:25Speaker 2: And some hold it against press absolutely and this might
- 45:28Speaker 2: be why there are enemies turning against him, the reason.
- 45:32Speaker 12: Power struggles are endemic in that system and going all
- 45:34Speaker 12: the way back to the earliest days, and so there's
- 45:37Speaker 12: never a point in any of these regimes, even MAW
- 45:41Speaker 12: where the power struggle element is absolutely absent.
- 45:45Speaker 2: So it's gone on, absolutely fascinating, Bob and Diamond.
- 45:49Speaker 1: Pleasure to have you here in Australia. Thank you so
- 45:51Speaker 1: much for those insights.
- 45:53Speaker 2: All right, still to come the la riots that have
- 45:55Speaker 2: turned the city into chaos and the public spat playing
- 45:58Speaker 2: out around the world.
- 46:00Speaker 1: Koshergata would join me.
- 46:01Speaker 2: Next, Welcome back, and let's return to the chaos that's
- 46:08Speaker 2: broken out on the streets of Los Angeles. Two thousand
- 46:11Speaker 2: writers have taken over a freeway and lit cars on fire,
- 46:16Speaker 2: joining us now. Sky News contributed Koshergarta Kosher, I mean
- 46:19Speaker 2: this is mayhem. We've seen US officials come out and
- 46:23Speaker 2: say that they've got nothing to apologize for. Ice is
- 46:27Speaker 2: seemingly trying to keep order and doing what Trump pledged.
- 46:33Speaker 13: Yes, this certainly is mayhem. And you know it's all
- 46:36Speaker 13: sparked because of what is ultimately are just such a
- 46:39Speaker 13: fundamental issue. It is the cornerstone of not only Trump's
- 46:43Speaker 13: political rise, but the rise of the whole populist nationalist
- 46:46Speaker 13: movement in America that's been brewing after years and years
- 46:49Speaker 13: decades of so much immigration, especially illegal immigration, and especially
- 46:54Speaker 13: under the Biden years. So in a way, while this
- 46:56Speaker 13: is shocking that the footage that we're seeing, on some level,
- 46:59Speaker 13: it's not surprising because if you wind up in the
- 47:02Speaker 13: situation where you have so many illegals that are entrenched
- 47:04Speaker 13: into communities, the popular sentiment has absolutely moved in favor
- 47:08Speaker 13: of doing something to get them out and to deport them.
- 47:10Speaker 13: You are going to see some kind of unrest and
- 47:12Speaker 13: that's what we're seeing here, and unfortunately it's going to continue.
- 47:16Speaker 13: But Trump has deputized the National Guard. There are other
- 47:19Speaker 13: controversial things coming out because of that. But I do
- 47:22Speaker 13: expect that hopefully we'll get into control when that extra
- 47:24Speaker 13: layer of law enforcement is brought into lam.
- 47:27Speaker 1: Yeah, let's hope.
- 47:28Speaker 2: So now I want to turn to this feud between
- 47:30Speaker 2: Trump and Alon Musk. I mean, this has been the
- 47:33Speaker 2: main thing everyone's been speaking about over the weekend. I mean,
- 47:36Speaker 2: the TESLA chief executive accused Trump of being in the
- 47:41Speaker 2: Epstein files, saying that this is the real reason they
- 47:45Speaker 2: weren't made public.
- 47:46Speaker 1: He since had to delete those posts.
- 47:48Speaker 2: But it seems like the accusations out there now, Kosher,
- 47:52Speaker 2: is there any credibility to it.
- 47:56Speaker 13: It feels very very hard to believe. I don't think
- 47:59Speaker 13: most people believe it, because if this were true, some
- 48:03Speaker 13: Democrats somebody would have found it right now, you know,
- 48:06Speaker 13: before must did. The only thing that he's intimating there
- 48:09Speaker 13: is somehow when the Doge geniuses were in the computer systems,
- 48:13Speaker 13: did they find something deep in the bowels of the
- 48:15Speaker 13: government that nobody else found, not Biden, not Hillary Clinton.
- 48:18Speaker 13: They didn't need to have the Steel dossier, that infamous
- 48:21Speaker 13: document back in twenty sixteen. They could have just released
- 48:23Speaker 13: the Epstein files. So I think it's unlikely, and the
- 48:25Speaker 13: fact that he deleted it to me, suggests that maybe
- 48:28Speaker 13: there was some fear of legal action, because Trump's violently
- 48:32Speaker 13: quite litigious, and maybe that's what colored his retraction and deletion.
- 48:38Speaker 1: Just very quickly.
- 48:39Speaker 2: Speak Matut Greta trying to save the day in Gaza.
- 48:42Speaker 1: She thinks she's.
- 48:43Speaker 2: Actually going to learn something watching from the video of
- 48:47Speaker 2: Hermas's atrocities.
- 48:50Speaker 13: I think if she wanted to learn things, she probably
- 48:53Speaker 13: would have done that a long time ago. I think
- 48:55Speaker 13: she's also somebody who's suffering from relevance deprivation syndrome, and
- 48:58Speaker 13: she's trying to insert herself. I finish she was the
- 49:00Speaker 13: climate queen. She's trying to insert herself in whatever the
- 49:03Speaker 13: issues of the day are over here, and it's not
- 49:06Speaker 13: going to age well. I don't think she's helping that
- 49:08Speaker 13: side of the argument or the cause at all. And
- 49:10Speaker 13: figures like her sale into territory that's been blockaded by
- 49:14Speaker 13: the idea.
- 49:15Speaker 2: Indeed, all right, Koshagata, really appreciate your time as always,
- 49:18Speaker 2: Thanks so much, and we'll be back in a moment
- 49:20Speaker 2: after this quick break, right, and now the big show
- 49:27Speaker 2: tomorrow night. Make sure you tune in at eight o'clock.
- 49:30Speaker 2: That's all we've got time for now. He is Paul
- 49:32Speaker 2: Marie
