- 0:01Chapter 60 from the book of Isaiah.
- 0:03First let's pray. Dear Lord, please let us
- 0:07understand what we are about to read and let your Holy Spirit
- 0:13give us wisdom and insight in Jesus name, Amen.
- 0:18Chapter 60 Arise, shine, for your light has come, and the
- 0:23glory of the Lord rises upon you.
- 0:26See, darkness covers the earth, and thick darkness is over the
- 0:32peoples, but the Lord rises upon you, and his glory appears over
- 0:39you. This I think refers to Jesus
- 0:43again, and I'm seeing it in every chapter of Isaiah almost.
- 0:48But Jesus will. It says that when he returns, he
- 0:52will be coming on the clouds and as lightning is seen, so it will
- 0:56be when the Son of man, Jesus comes on the clouds that
- 1:01everyone will see it. So I, I see this as, but the
- 1:06Lord rises upon you and his glory appears over you.
- 1:10There could be some symbolism as well, but I think there's, I
- 1:13think it's both. I think it's symbolic, but yet
- 1:16it's also Speaking of the day that Jesus returns.
- 1:20Now, This is why because the next sentence, three nations
- 1:25will come to your light and kings to the brightness of your
- 1:30dawn. That is, remember this is Isaiah
- 1:34talking to Israel and I guess specifically Judah.
- 1:39And nations will come to your light and kings to the
- 1:44brightness of your dawn. That's certainly not now.
- 1:49And of course, you know that that was in a time frame that
- 1:57did happen historically, but not completely.
- 2:01So this is when Isaiah was speaking to the people of Judah.
- 2:06He was warning them about the future.
- 2:09I think it was the Babylonian captivity that would happen.
- 2:14And I think this really is talking about the Millennium,
- 2:18though, because nations will come.
- 2:19As we read further, it becomes clearer.
- 2:22Nations will come to your light and kings to the brightness of
- 2:25your dawn. Lift up your eyes and look about
- 2:29you. All assemble and come to you.
- 2:32Your sons come from afar and your daughters are carried on
- 2:36the hip. Now that's talking about people
- 2:40being dispersed into all these different places which we know
- 2:43did happen to the 10 tribes of Israel.
- 2:48Then you will look and be radiant.
- 2:51Your heart will throb and swell with joy.
- 2:55The wealth on the seas will be brought to you.
- 2:59To you the riches of the nations will come.
- 3:03Herds of camels will cover your land.
- 3:05Young camels of Midian and IFA and all from Sheba will come
- 3:12bearing gold and incense and proclaiming the praise of the
- 3:16Lord. I don't know that this has ever
- 3:19happened, that all nations are coming to Israel with gifts and
- 3:25praising the Lord. This I mean, especially when you
- 3:30when the study Bible clears up who this is we're talking about,
- 3:34all Keter's flocks will be gathered to you.
- 3:36The Rams of Nibiot will serve you.
- 3:40They will be accepted as offerings on my altar, and I
- 3:45will adorn my glorious temple. I don't believe this happened
- 3:51for the Second Temple. I do think it may be talking
- 3:55about the Third Temple and during the Millennium reign.
- 3:59Now look at who these these groups of people are who were
- 4:04Midian, IFA, Sheba, Kidar and Nebayoth.
- 4:09They were people who lived in Arabia, modern Jordan, Saudi
- 4:15Arabia and Yemen. Think about that.
- 4:18Yemen coming with gifts to Israel.
- 4:22Not right now for sure. The people of Midian IFA and
- 4:26Sheba were known as wealthy traders.
- 4:29The people of Kedar and Nebiot were famous for their sheep.
- 4:33Since Midian IFA, Kedar, and Nebiot are all named in Genesis
- 4:38as descendants of Abraham, there may be some intention of
- 4:43specifying that it is. All of Abraham's children will
- 4:46be united in the pilgrimage to Jerusalem.
- 4:52So that's that's really interesting about the temple
- 4:55being there. So this is also, you know, the
- 4:59third. I just see this as the third
- 5:01temple and do see this as a Millennium thing.
- 5:05And boy, it's really getting set up in, I mean, getting ready in
- 5:102025. Just all the things that have
- 5:14happened, you know, from the the red heifers that hadn't been
- 5:18found for 2000 years but then were found there was a practice
- 5:23sacrifice. Like why would they do that?
- 5:25Unless that was either a legitimate sacrifice of a red
- 5:29heifer that happened in Israel or it was practice for something
- 5:34that would be coming up soon. Because why would you practice
- 5:38something if it wasn't going to come up soon?
- 5:40If it was going to be another thousands of years, you wouldn't
- 5:43need to practice. So it's either it either was the
- 5:45real thing and was just being concealed so it didn't cause
- 5:50political turmoil. Because last time that there was
- 5:53indication of this happening on the, you know, the Temple Mount
- 5:57and those kinds of things, October 7th, 2023 happened.
- 6:02So of course there's a reason to not be really public about this,
- 6:07but there's been anointing of the appropriate priests that are
- 6:11required for temple service. There has been a cleansing, A
- 6:15preparation. All of the items that go into
- 6:20the temple are already ready. They're ready to go into as soon
- 6:24as the temple gets built. So everything in preparation is,
- 6:30is ready. It's all ready.
- 6:32And apparently there's even signs that are being posted
- 6:36throughout Israel right now about the Third Temple and
- 6:39about, you know, some like Railway Express that it will get
- 6:42people to the temple. And there's a lot of activity
- 6:49going on. And what people say is basically
- 6:52it's the government that is holding it up.
- 6:54Like they can't go forward until the government says, OK.
- 6:58So this month is going to be an interesting month of September
- 7:012025 because there are lots of meetings.
- 7:04There are meetings that will be occurring I think September 22nd
- 7:09where there's going to be the talk of the two state solution
- 7:13between Palestine and Israel and we don't know how this is all
- 7:18going out. A lot of nations are in
- 7:22agreement on that, but then there are a few nations who are
- 7:27not on board with that. And this is just going to be a
- 7:30very interesting month to see what happens.
- 7:35And there's just a lot of signs that are happening now that are
- 7:39talked about in Bible prophecy. So it's an important time to be
- 7:44awake as it relates to biblical prophecy and what's happening in
- 7:50the Middle East because this is this month and the next month
- 7:54are probably going to be very important months to pay
- 7:59attention to what's going on. Let's see.
- 8:02I want to read before I get to the very next line 8.
- 8:08I will read the questions and answers for the what we just
- 8:10read. How would Israel give light to
- 8:13the nations? Isaiah painted a picture of the
- 8:15sun shining brightly on the temple high atop Mount Zion
- 8:20while the surrounding valleys remain in darkness.
- 8:22This represents the way God would come in glory to His
- 8:26people. Those in spiritual darkness will
- 8:29look to the light shining through God's people, light
- 8:33characterized by lives of integrity, compassion, and
- 8:36peace. Why would Israel's sons come
- 8:40from afar? The near future prophecy was of
- 8:44how Jerusalem would fall to the Babylonians and the people would
- 8:49be taken into exile. The distant future prophecy
- 8:53looked through that tragic period of Israel's history to
- 8:57what would come later. There would be immense joy when
- 9:01their sons and daughters returned to Jerusalem out of
- 9:04exile. I still don't think that's
- 9:07happened. Maybe there's been partial, you
- 9:09know, there's been a lot of people moving back to Israel and
- 9:13a gathering in that way. I think that it's a gradual
- 9:17thing that's happened. But this massive amount of
- 9:22people coming into Jerusalem, I believe, takes place when Jesus
- 9:26returns. So how and when would riches of
- 9:31nations be brought to Jerusalem? The valuable gifts the Jews
- 9:36received as they returned to Jerusalem and the contribution
- 9:40of King Darius of Persia to Zerubbabel's temple may be a
- 9:46partial fulfillment of this prophecy, though it surely looks
- 9:49beyond that. Some see this as a reference to
- 9:53the influx of Gentiles into the church.
- 9:56Others see it being fulfilled during the future prophetic
- 10:02during the, let's see the future phase of the Messianic Kingdom,
- 10:07such as the New Jerusalem in Revelation 2126.
- 10:12Perhaps all three situations are in view.
- 10:15And there are other areas of this, this chapter where I did
- 10:20go to Revelation 21. So I'm going to read that as
- 10:23well because you'll see that there's multiple times where it
- 10:26references something like that. OK, now this was interesting.
- 10:31And when I first read it, I put question marks by this verse 8
- 10:34in Isaiah. Who are these that fly along
- 10:38like clouds, like doves to their nest?
- 10:42I thought about that and I was like, is this something
- 10:44celestial? Like what is what is this being?
- 10:46What is this talking about? Who are these that fly?
- 10:49You know, it could be like poetic, like people are coming
- 10:53near to Jerusalem. But then I thought, what if he's
- 10:56really seeing a vision or something and describing planes?
- 11:01Like, obviously they didn't have planes, but who are these that
- 11:04fly along the clouds like doves to their nests?
- 11:10So I'm wondering if these are planes coming into Jerusalem.
- 11:14It makes sense for the future, right?
- 11:17Surely the islands look to me. In the lead are the ships of
- 11:21Tarshish, bringing your children from afar with their silver and
- 11:26gold to honor, to the honor of the Lord your God, the Holy One
- 11:31of Israel, for He has endowed you with splendor.
- 11:35And I would say again that this is not yet.
- 11:38This is a future prophecy. Here foreigners will rebuild
- 11:42your walls and their kings will serve you.
- 11:46So I don't think that has happened.
- 11:48Israel has not been where in in a leadership position until
- 11:54Jesus returns and he is named king over everything.
- 12:01When he returns, that's that will be what he does and then
- 12:06all kings will be under Jesus but not until then though in
- 12:13anger I struck you in favor I will show you compassion.
- 12:17Your gates will always stand open.
- 12:20They will never be shut day or night so that people may bring
- 12:25you the wealth of the nations their kings LED in triumphal
- 12:30procession. Now that is another thing that
- 12:35are there other nations right now bringing all these gifts to
- 12:40Israel And I I just, you know, this is not not current and I
- 12:47think it is future. It is when Jesus, because it's
- 12:50going to be, it's going to be a different time than what we
- 12:54experience right now. But it says like your gates will
- 12:57always stand open. They will never be shut day or
- 13:00night. Now in Revelation chapter 21,
- 13:03verse 25, it says on no day will its gates ever be shut, for
- 13:10there will be no night there. The glory and honor of the
- 13:14nations will be brought into it. Nothing impure will ever enter
- 13:20it, nor nor will anyone who does what is shameful or deceitful,
- 13:25but only those whose names are written in the Lamb's book of
- 13:30life. That's Jesus.
- 13:31You know this Jesus. You know those who believe in
- 13:34Jesus, who have the book of life.
- 13:36So that's in chapter 21 of Revelation and this is actually
- 13:41talking about the New Jerusalem. And so I think again, this is
- 13:47talking about something future for the nation or Kingdom that
- 13:51will not serve, you will perish, it will be utterly ruined.
- 13:56I think that is probably in the Millennium when that happens,
- 14:01the thousand year reign of Christ, the glory of Lebanon
- 14:05will come to you, the juniper, the fur and the Cypress together
- 14:09to adorn my sanctuary and I will glorify the place for my feet.
- 14:16So then I thought, well, I mean he there's references to God
- 14:21making everything a footstool and that's in Genesis and I
- 14:26think in other places. But then there's also that part
- 14:29where Jesus returns and his feet land on a mountain.
- 14:33So I looked that up and that is the Mount of Olives because it
- 14:37talks about the day of the Lord coming and when he returns to
- 14:42rain, so it says in Zechariah chapter 14, verse 4, on that day
- 14:48his feet will stand on the Mount of Olives east of Jerusalem.
- 14:54And the Mount of Olives will be split in two from east to West,
- 15:00forming a great valley with half of the mountain moving north and
- 15:05half moving moving South. So that's kind of an interesting
- 15:11thing it says. So I will glorify the place for
- 15:14my feet. I mean, it doesn't necessarily
- 15:17mean that's the exact place because Jerusalem is the place
- 15:22where God has chosen, where He will be, where He will be ruling
- 15:26from that place. And Zechariah 14, this is
- 15:29talking about when the Lord comes and reigns.
- 15:32So starting at the beginning of Zechariah chapter 14, a day of
- 15:36the Lord is coming, Jerusalem, when your possessions will be
- 15:40plundered and divided up within your very walls.
- 15:46I will gather all nations to Jerusalem to fight against it.
- 15:53The city will be captured, the houses ransacked and the women
- 15:58raped. Half of the city will go into
- 16:02exile, but the rest of the people will not be taken from
- 16:06the city. Then the Lord will go out and
- 16:09fight against those nations as he fights on a day of battle.
- 16:16And on that day his feet will stand on the Mount of Olives
- 16:19east of Jerusalem. And the Mount of Olives will be
- 16:22split in two from east to West, forming a great valley with half
- 16:27of the mountain moving north and half moving South.
- 16:30Now that hasn't happened yet. So when I read this, I see that
- 16:35there is going to be something that happens in Jerusalem and
- 16:41it, I wasn't thinking that would happen.
- 16:44I'm, I do know that that has happened with the Assyrians and
- 16:49the Babylonians where they have captured.
- 16:52So I don't know if that part of it was fulfilled or if yet
- 16:55there's another one. Because in these prophecies
- 16:58there's pieces and parts that get fulfilled at different
- 17:01times, but there's not always a, a change in the way it's stated.
- 17:07But I, I was thinking about, when I read that about, I think
- 17:16this is like there's a song that that comes, there's a song that
- 17:24only certain that only the Jewish people know and see.
- 17:31I think it's in revelation. I'm trying to find it saying I
- 17:37don't I'll have to find I want to find it because let's see.
- 17:47Oh, I can't find it. OK, there's 144,000 I think.
- 17:55OK, so these are the the people, the people of that are sealed.
- 18:03And OK, so this is this is the other part.
- 18:07This is what I was looking for Revelation chapter 14.
- 18:13And so this is another place where it's not the Mount of
- 18:17Olives, but it says on Mount Zion.
- 18:20So that's the heavenly Jerusalem and they sang the song.
- 18:24So listen to this part, the Lamb and the 144,000.
- 18:28So the lamb is Jesus. Then I looked and there before
- 18:31me was the Lamb or Jesus standing on Mount Zion and with
- 18:36him 144,000 who had his name and his Father's name written on
- 18:44their foreheads. So this is eye opening because
- 18:47the 144,000 or 12,000 from each of the tribes of Israel.
- 18:55And so not only will they have God, but they will have His Son.
- 19:00They will also accept His Son, so it says, who had his name and
- 19:05his father's name written on their foreheads.
- 19:08And I heard a sound from heaven, like the roar of rushing waters,
- 19:14and like a loud peal of Thunder. The sound I heard was like that
- 19:19of harpist playing their harps. And they sang a new song before
- 19:23the throne and before the four living creatures and the elders.
- 19:28No one could learn the song except the 144,000 who had been
- 19:35redeemed from the earth. These are those who did not
- 19:39defile themselves with women, for they remained virgins.
- 19:44They follow the Lamb wherever He goes.
- 19:47They were purchased from among mankind and offered as first
- 19:52fruits to God and the Lamb. No lie was found in their
- 19:57mouths. They are blameless.
- 20:00So I'm curious now as I look this.
- 20:03So yeah, it yeah, it's kind of it's a very unique group of
- 20:08people and a lot of people talk about this 144,000 and they
- 20:13apply it to lots of different things.
- 20:16But I think Scripture is pretty clear about who this is.
- 20:19It says these are those who did not defile themselves with women
- 20:23for they remained virgins. They follow the Lamb wherever he
- 20:28goes. That's Jesus.
- 20:30They were purchased from among mankind and offered as first
- 20:33fruits to God and the lamb. So I don't I don't know if this
- 20:39is a literal or spiritual thing, but no lie was found in their
- 20:43mouths. They are blameless.
- 20:45So we know that it's 12,000 from each tribe of Judah, but we, you
- 20:53know, this is this revelation 14 four.
- 20:57I don't know if that's literal or symbolic in a spiritual way
- 21:02that they because it does say women.
- 21:06They didn't defile themselves with women where it could have
- 21:09said with other gods for they remained virgins because God
- 21:12often talks about idolatry. But then I looked in the
- 21:16original Greek word and it was Guying for women.
- 21:19And so I, I don't know if it's a literal thing, but again, this
- 21:25is just, we have to take scripture for what it is and we
- 21:30can't read into it or change anything of what it says.
- 21:34So I just believe that it's probably 12,000 people that
- 21:42probably men from Jerusalem. I'm thinking that's what it
- 21:47sounds like. I don't know.
- 21:50And we will only know anyone who says that they know can't know
- 21:55because Scripture doesn't say that unless somebody finds
- 21:58something in Scripture that explains this.
- 22:00But I don't see it. And anything else would just be
- 22:03interpretation. So whatever it is, we will find
- 22:08out in the end. But after it's all over.
- 22:11But anyway, there's a group of people.
- 22:13And so his this is the one thing that the verse that made me
- 22:19think about his feet standing on Mount Zion, this is in
- 22:23Jerusalem. So anyway, let's go back to
- 22:26Isaiah chapter 60, verse 14. The children of your oppressors
- 22:32will come bowing before you. All who despise you will bow
- 22:38down at your feet and we'll call you the city of the Lord Zion of
- 22:44the Holy One of Israel. Well, that's certainly not
- 22:47today, but today there is a despising of Israel.
- 22:52All the anti-Semitism that you see throughout the world, it
- 22:56seems to be growing over, you know, greater and greater.
- 23:00So this again just seems like there's so many things that are
- 23:06that could easily tie into this prophecy that is being talked
- 23:09about. Although you have been forsaken
- 23:13and hated with no one traveling through now, people are still
- 23:17traveling through Jerusalem. There was maybe a period of time
- 23:21where it wasn't maybe during 2020.
- 23:24But other than that, I don't, I don't know.
- 23:28I mean, maybe there's something future that will happen and
- 23:30maybe this is again something that has already been fulfilled.
- 23:37I will make you the everlasting pride and the joy of all
- 23:42generations. You will drink the milk of
- 23:44nations and be nursed at royal breast.
- 23:47Then you will know that I the Lord am your Savior, your
- 23:51Redeemer, the mighty one of Jacob.
- 23:54Again, this is this is Jesus because Jesus is the Son of God.
- 24:00And died on the cross. So he is the Savior.
- 24:05That's how he redeemed people. That's how he bought.
- 24:08He paid the price on the cross because the wages of sin is
- 24:12death. He was the substitute sacrifice.
- 24:16That's why he's called the Lamb. Because the Lamb used to be the
- 24:20way that people would sacrifice and make atonement, but they
- 24:23never received atonement because it needed to be a life for a
- 24:28life and a human for a human. And that's what Jesus said.
- 24:32That's why he became man but was sinless.
- 24:37That's why he is God, and that's why he died on the cross.
- 24:40That's not why he is God, but he was God.
- 24:42That's why he's was sinless. And he died on the cross, and he
- 24:47resurrected through the Holy Spirit and is living.
- 24:53So this is like a huge concept that is really stated in Isaiah
- 25:0160 verse 16. So how else was that
- 25:06implemented? OK, instead of bronze I will
- 25:10bring you gold and silver in place of iron.
- 25:12Instead of wood, I will bring you bronze and iron In place of
- 25:16stones. I will make peace your governor
- 25:19and well-being your ruler. No longer will violence be heard
- 25:24in your land, nor rune or destruction within your borders,
- 25:30but you will call your walls salvation and your gates praise.
- 25:36That is certainly not now. That has not been in history.
- 25:41But I believe again, this is when Jesus returns and during
- 25:46the Millennium, the thousand year reign of Christ.
- 25:50And let's see, I should probably, since I keep
- 25:54referencing this Millennium that's found in the Book of
- 25:57Revelation, and I can't remember what chapter it is, but it's the
- 26:03thousand years, years. So I'm going to look that up.
- 26:17I should have looked this up ahead of time.
- 26:25All right, that's in Revelation 20, the 1000 years, so I'm going
- 26:36to read that just because I talk about it a lot.
- 26:39Revelation 20 verses one through 6 at least.
- 26:44Then I saw an Angel coming down from heaven with the key to the
- 26:49bottomless pit and a heavy chain in his hand.
- 26:53He sees the dragon, that old serpent who is the devil Satan,
- 26:59and bound him in chains for 1000 years.
- 27:02OK, so the Book of Revelation everybody says is really hard to
- 27:05understand, but when it's stated like this, it's very clear.
- 27:09He sees the dragon, that old serpent.
- 27:12So that serpent that was in the book of Genesis who is the devil
- 27:16and names them Satan. So it's all saying the dragon.
- 27:21So when you read slowly through the Book of Revelation, you get
- 27:26the understanding because it actually tells you the dragon is
- 27:29Satan. So this Angel comes down from
- 27:33heaven with the key to the bottomless pit and a chain in
- 27:36his hand, and he binds Satan for 1000 years.
- 27:41The Angel threw him into the bottomless pit, which he then
- 27:45shut the door and locked so Satan could not deceive the
- 27:49nations anymore until the 1000 years were finished.
- 27:54Afterward he must be released for a little while.
- 27:59Then I saw Thrones and the people sitting on them had been
- 28:02given the authority to judge. And I saw the souls of those who
- 28:08had been beheaded for their testimony about Jesus and for
- 28:12proclaiming the word of God. They had not worshipped the
- 28:16beast or his statue, nor accepted His mark on their
- 28:22forehead or their hands. They all came to life again, and
- 28:27they reigned with Christ for 1000 years.
- 28:31This is the first resurrection. The rest of the dead did not
- 28:37come back to life until the 1000 years had ended.
- 28:43Blessed and holy are those who share in the first resurrection.
- 28:48For them the second death holds no power.
- 28:51But they will be priests of God and Christ will reign with them,
- 28:57with him and, and will reign with him. 1000 years.
- 29:02So that's I don't know. I just thought it would be good
- 29:08to read that. OK, now it says back in Isaiah
- 29:12chapter 60 verse 19, the sun will be no more.
- 29:18The sun will no more be your light by day, nor will the
- 29:24brightness of the moon shine on you.
- 29:27For the Lord will be your everlasting light, and your God
- 29:31will be your glory. Your sun will never set again,
- 29:36and your moon will wane no more. The Lord will be your
- 29:40everlasting light, and your days of sorrow will end.
- 29:45Then all your people will be righteous and they will possess
- 29:50the land forever. OK, so that is certainly not
- 29:54right now, that's in the future. Then all your people will be
- 29:58righteous and they will possess the land forever.
- 30:02That's future. They are the shoot.
- 30:05I have planted the work of my hands.
- 30:09So God's done this for the splint, for the display of my
- 30:13splendor. The least of you will become
- 30:171000, the smallest, a mighty nation.
- 30:21I am the Lord in its time. I will do this swiftly.
- 30:27So when we start seeing signs of that, that's why everybody looks
- 30:30at this. It's like God says, when it
- 30:32happens, it's going to happen quickly.
- 30:35It certainly has felt like an acceleration or just maybe I'm
- 30:39paying attention to things since 2020 when there was a global
- 30:44shutdown. And, and then just seeing all
- 30:47these different things of like wars, rumors of wars, famine in
- 30:52various places, earthquakes. Those are all things that Jesus
- 30:56said. And they have been happening
- 30:58ever since the beginning of, I mean, just as long as history
- 31:02knows that we know of in history.
- 31:05But it seems like they are increasing with frequency and a
- 31:10lot of other things that, you know, signs in those in the sky
- 31:13and the the blood moons, which do happen every year.
- 31:17But it's interesting that in 2025 the blood moon was on the
- 31:22feast day of Purim, Purim. And then in 2026 it's going to
- 31:27be another blood moon on the feast of Purim.
- 31:30And those are significant in the book of Esther.
- 31:33It's a very significant reflection on what happened with
- 31:38Esther and Mordecai and the the king of, of Persia.
- 31:44And it there's even like some symbolism and maybe it's just a
- 31:49cultural significance. It must be because it you know,
- 31:54King Xerxes wasn't, you know, a a righteous man or anything, but
- 32:00he hosted A banquet that lasted 7 days in the enclosed garden of
- 32:05the King's palace for all the people from the least to the
- 32:07greatest who were in the citadel of Sousa.
- 32:10This is almost like that talks about like how evil sometimes
- 32:14copies, which is, you know, what God does and but also this is at
- 32:19the same time could be a very cultural thing.
- 32:21And maybe culturally, This is why there is that repetition
- 32:26because there is this, you know, whole period of seven days
- 32:32talked about in Daniel the week and or the week of years or
- 32:38something like that where there's this seven years, seven
- 32:42days, the creation. I mean, everything has this
- 32:45pattern that people have really talked a lot about recently.
- 32:50But it's very interesting when you read through the Bible.
- 32:55Let's see if there was. I don't know if there's another
- 32:58part that I wanted to read about.
- 33:00Oh, yeah. So the least of you will become
- 33:03like 1000 and the smallest, a mighty nation.
- 33:06God's always into doing the least to the greatest.
- 33:10And so this is just a few things that I saw in Scripture that God
- 33:19takes the least and makes them great.
- 33:21So in Luke Chapter 9 verse 46, an argument started among the
- 33:25disciples as to which of them would be the greatest.
- 33:29Jesus knowing their thoughts. So think about this.
- 33:32Jesus knew what everybody was thinking about while he was
- 33:36still in human form. Anyway, Jesus knowing their
- 33:40thoughts, took a little child and had him stand beside him.
- 33:45Then he said to them, whoever welcomes this little child in my
- 33:50name welcomes me, and whoever welcomes me welcomes the one who
- 33:56sent me for it is the one who is least among you, among you all,
- 34:04who is the greatest. So this is again like what Jesus
- 34:11talks about. And then in Hebrews chapter 8
- 34:14verse 11, it talks about in the Millennium time period, it says
- 34:22that no longer will they teach their neighbor or say to
- 34:27another, say to one another, know the Lord, because they will
- 34:32all know me from the least of them to the greatest, for I will
- 34:37forgive their wickedness and remember their sins no more.
- 34:40By calling this covenant new, He has made the first one obsolete.
- 34:45And whatever is obsolete and outdated will soon disappear.
- 34:49So this is talking about the the Law of Moses or the covenant
- 34:54that God originally created that was broken by the Israelites.
- 34:58And so then he had to make a new covenant, which was the covenant
- 35:03that Jesus made by his death on the cross to atone for sins and
- 35:08to make it possible for people to be in God's Kingdom.
- 35:11But it's saying no longer will they teach their neighbor or say
- 35:14to another one another know the Lord, because they will all know
- 35:18me from the least of them to the greatest.
- 35:21So everybody is going to know Jesus when he is ruling and
- 35:25reigning on the earth. In Jeremiah, that's what
- 35:29Jeremiah talked about, and he says the exact same thing.
- 35:33So in Hebrews it's probably quoting Jeremiah, but in
- 35:38Jeremiah 3134 it says no longer will they teach their neighbor
- 35:42or say to one another know the Lord, because they will all know
- 35:46me from the least of them to the greatest, declares the Lord.
- 35:49For I will forgive their wickedness and remember their
- 35:51sins no more. This sentence prior says this is
- 35:56the covenant I will make with the people of Israel after that
- 35:59time, declares the Lord, I will put my law in their minds and
- 36:03write it on their hearts. I will be their God and they
- 36:07will be my people. So there's, there's a whole lot
- 36:11there. But we will get into the book of
- 36:13Jeremiah at a future time. So I will not go through all of
- 36:17that. But then I think that's all that
- 36:20I had to cover, so I'm going to read the rest of the questions
- 36:23and answers and then wrap up this chapter.
- 36:25So when will Israel rule the world?
- 36:28Some think this is a description of the coming millennial age,
- 36:32when Christ will rule from Jerusalem.
- 36:34Others see this in a more figurative sense, that Jesus,
- 36:37the son of David, representing the people of Israel, rules over
- 36:41all those who acknowledge him as Lord.
- 36:44Those who did not acknowledge him will perish.
- 36:48Wouldn't this glory lead to arrogance on the part of God's
- 36:51people? It had in the past.
- 36:53The book of Judges shows a cycle of the Lord's victory and
- 36:56blessings being followed by sin and defeat, then repentance and
- 37:01God's deliverance. The Apostle Paul warned the
- 37:04Christians in Corinth that though they thought they were
- 37:07standing firm, they should be careful not to fall.
- 37:12Fervent prayer, devoted study of God's Word, and thoughtful love
- 37:16can help to fortify US against arrogance and pride.
- 37:22How would Zion drink the milk of nations to be nursed at royal
- 37:25breast? Jerusalem would receive the very
- 37:28best nourishment, the riches of the nations.
- 37:30The metaphor of being nursed at the royal breast is more
- 37:33literally to suck the breast of kings.
- 37:36The picture is strange only if we assume a straightforward
- 37:39correspondence between an analogy and what it illustrates.
- 37:44Foreigners and their monarchs would love and cherish Zion,
- 37:48delighting to supply her needs. Is this a prophecy about Israel
- 37:54or eternity? It could be both.
- 37:57The figure of speech indicate the salvation of Israel on
- 38:00earth. God's light would protect the
- 38:03nation from darkness, foreign threats, and internal justice.
- 38:07Whether or not this prophecy applies to physical Israel, it
- 38:13certainly applies to God's people in eternity.
- 38:16John used it to describe the heavenly city in Revelation
- 38:21chapter 21, verse 23. So those are all things that we
- 38:26kind of went through. So anyway, that wraps up chapter
- 38:2960. Hope you come back for chapter
- 38:3161 next time.
