- 0:00Speaker 1: Welcome back to the Mark Simone Show.
- 0:02Speaker 2: Live from the WR Life Back Studios.
- 0:09Speaker 1: Hey, let's take some calls. Eight hundred three to two
- 0:12Speaker 1: one zero seven ten is the number, and let's go
- 0:14Speaker 1: to Craig in South Carolina. Craig, how you doing, Mark?
- 0:18Speaker 3: I'm doing great. Thank you for taking my call. I
- 0:21Speaker 3: did not know that there was not one window in
- 0:23Speaker 3: the Obama Library, so to speak. But is it me
- 0:28Speaker 3: or I have seen some photographs, So that looks like
- 0:30Speaker 3: a giant toilet.
- 0:33Speaker 1: Toilet or garbage can. It looks like a big garbage can.
- 0:37Speaker 1: In fact, there's a lot of memes with a garbage can.
- 0:39Speaker 1: Great garbage can next to it is the ugliest thing
- 0:41Speaker 1: ever built. Nobody can figure it out. The surrounding homes
- 0:45Speaker 1: that all the neighbors are suing because it's an ice.
- 0:49Speaker 3: Yeah, okay, thank you.
- 0:52Speaker 1: Thanks. If you haven't seen it, take a look at
- 0:54Speaker 1: a picture of the Obama Library. You can't believe anybody
- 0:58Speaker 1: anywhere would be there. And the architect brings the rendering
- 1:04Speaker 1: and that anybody would say, oh that looks good. It's
- 1:07Speaker 1: the ugliest building ever. Let's go to Bill in Idaho. Bill,
- 1:11Speaker 1: how you doing, Hi?
- 1:13Speaker 2: Mark, how are you I'm good. Okay. I was listening
- 1:19Speaker 2: to Scott rath Rathmus and podcast this weekend.
- 1:23Speaker 1: Well, that sounds like a fun weekend, I said, that's great.
- 1:27Speaker 1: I love that.
- 1:29Speaker 2: Okay. Anyway, I wonder if you agree with this statement
- 1:33Speaker 2: that the smartphone has had more influence over politics and
- 1:39Speaker 2: social life than the last five presidents combined.
- 1:44Speaker 1: Wow, you see, this is why you got to listen
- 1:46Speaker 1: to Scott Rasmussen podcast. What Insight. Who would have ever
- 1:50Speaker 1: figured the invention of the smartphone had any influence? I
- 1:53Speaker 1: would never would have occurred to me. Well, you know,
- 1:57Speaker 1: obviously I changed everything. That's all people do, look at
- 2:02Speaker 1: their phone all to night. It influences everything.
- 2:05Speaker 2: Right. And the other thing he said was that Jimmy
- 2:09Speaker 2: Carter k put together all the leaders in religion and
- 2:13Speaker 2: politics and everything else to predict the future. And in
- 2:17Speaker 2: the report they gave they didn't mention the computer once.
- 2:21Speaker 1: Yeah. Well, I listen. They're wonderful people, very spiritual, but
- 2:25Speaker 1: I wouldn't look at them for business advice on anything.
- 2:27Speaker 1: But all right, Foster Brooks, thanks for checking in there.
- 2:31Speaker 1: Let's go to Walt in Yonkers. Walt, how you're doing?
- 2:35Speaker 4: Oh? Pretty good? Mark, you know When I see the
- 2:37Speaker 4: picture of Obama's Imperial Palace in Chicago, I see a
- 2:42Speaker 4: building that was probably put together by the same designer
- 2:45Speaker 4: and builder as the Hitler's flack towers in Berlin that
- 2:50Speaker 4: were put there to shoot down American bombers during the war.
- 2:52Speaker 4: So I wonder how far the analogy might go, or
- 2:56Speaker 4: so Obama there to have an intellectual pals to shoot down.
- 3:01Speaker 1: Yeah, well you got a point there. That's the only
- 3:02Speaker 1: other time you saw a building look like that. It
- 3:04Speaker 1: was like, you know, during the war, it was a
- 3:06Speaker 1: building with no windows, no anything. You know, they try
- 3:08Speaker 1: to make a bomb proof. Also, it looks like a
- 3:11Speaker 1: like a prison, kind of like you might see that
- 3:13Speaker 1: type of building in a in a prison somewhere. It
- 3:16Speaker 1: is the ugliest thing ever built. Now you look at Obama,
- 3:20Speaker 1: a good looking guy wears the most beautiful suits, dressed beautifully.
- 3:25Speaker 1: If you see these big mansions he has, they're all
- 3:27Speaker 1: decorated beautifully. Why would a guy with all good taste
- 3:31Speaker 1: go crazy the wrong way with this museum? It's I mean,
- 3:34Speaker 1: it had to be some kind of practical joke on
- 3:36Speaker 1: on Chicago or something. Let's go to Michael on the
- 3:39Speaker 1: East Side, Michael. How you doing, Mike, It.
- 3:43Speaker 5: Was good to talk to you. I'm leaving an APE
- 3:47Speaker 5: report on the negotiations. This is what it says.
- 3:52Speaker 1: Well, first of all, Associated Press AP the most fake
- 3:55Speaker 1: news biased website in the world.
- 3:57Speaker 5: But okay, okay, agreed. How it alleges that the US
- 4:03Speaker 5: Treasury Department done the best and has issued a sixty
- 4:07Speaker 5: day license waiving sanctions on Iranian oil as part of
- 4:12Speaker 5: the interim agreement.
- 4:14Speaker 1: Yeah, but no point in reading this is from the AP.
- 4:17Speaker 1: You can't take them seriously. Knowing the AP, they've left
- 4:20Speaker 1: out sixty five other parts of the story that would
- 4:23Speaker 1: explain it. Don't take them seriously.
- 4:26Speaker 3: That's right.
- 4:26Speaker 5: I hope you're correct.
- 4:28Speaker 1: It's not a case of hope, or maybe it's the
- 4:30Speaker 1: Associated Press. You can't trust them. They're reporting absolutely totally biased.
- 4:36Speaker 1: Can you not trust their reporting? Sometimes what they do
- 4:39Speaker 1: is they'll give you a fact but leave out the
- 4:42Speaker 1: other eight facts that explain it. Hey, part of the
- 4:44Speaker 1: Iran deal when we do release money to them, we
- 4:48Speaker 1: don't just give them the money, like will decide where
- 4:50Speaker 1: it gets spent. They don't decide where to spend it.
- 4:53Speaker 1: So one of the parts of the deal one part
- 4:55Speaker 1: is when we give them a certain money, it's going
- 4:58Speaker 1: to be only for the Iranian people, so they have
- 5:02Speaker 1: to use it where we tell them to. And one
- 5:04Speaker 1: of the places they're going to have to use it
- 5:06Speaker 1: is to buy soybeans and wheat and stuff to feed people,
- 5:10Speaker 1: and they have to buy it from American farmers. So
- 5:13Speaker 1: when the money's released, most of it comes right back
- 5:15Speaker 1: to America and it will be on stuff like that
- 5:18Speaker 1: that will help the Iranian people, not the IRGC, not
- 5:22Speaker 1: the Iranian leaders, but the actual population.
- 5:25Speaker 4: Hey.
- 5:25Speaker 1: Yeah, when we come back, Michael Goodwin will be with us.
- 5:28Speaker 1: He's not a fan of this Iran deal, but most
- 5:31Speaker 1: people aren't. But you know, it's Trump. You got to
- 5:34Speaker 1: wait six months and then you'll find out, you know what,
- 5:36Speaker 1: he was right about everything. It was a chess game.
- 5:39Speaker 1: But we'll get to Michael Goodwin next on seven to ten.
- 5:42Speaker 1: Wor
