- 0:35fam podcast yes sir the the derrick
- 0:38rose high school number simian legends
- 0:41yes sir all the simian legends were 25 uh
- 0:45i did yeah it was because old boy who uh got killed right yeah yeah yeah yeah
- 0:50yeah yeah benji yeah benji yeah i couldn't believe i forgot his name that quill
- 0:54yeah yeah yeah so uh what's up bro how you been feeling good man no trying not
- 0:59to get blown away with all this wind we had yesterday lord have mercy.
- 1:05That shit was crazy it really really was man as we were uh talking when you uh first came in,
- 1:13I felt like the house was going to come apart. I'm like, OK,
- 1:16I'm just waiting to look up and see the roof is across the street or something,
- 1:20man. It was it was nuts, bro.
- 1:22Really, really nuts. But all's well that ends well. So what do you want to get into today?
- 1:29So today we're going to get into what we briefly touched on at the beginning of last week's episode.
- 1:36Conspiracy theories yeah we don't really have
- 1:39a rhyme over like we just we found a
- 1:42bunch of crazy ones yeah some known some
- 1:45not yeah we're just gonna kind of run through a couple of them and address them
- 1:49yeah yeah yeah and uh as kg was just saying some of these you guys will recognize
- 1:56but some of these are pretty off the wall and i have to admit i'm not even aware and i try and stay up.
- 2:04Well, I'm not a conspiracy theorist, but I do try and at least stay on top of
- 2:11it. See what everybody talks about.
- 2:13Yeah, just in case.
- 2:16I'm in the barbershop. I can chime in on some of the craziness.
- 2:22All right, bro. So you want to just start running down the list?
- 2:26Yeah. I want to go to one that you mentioned before we started. Okay. Blue Bay. Yeah.
- 2:32So I'll admit I've heard the name, but didn't know what was going on.
- 2:38And this was from way back in the middle, mid-90s.
- 2:42The claim was that NASA and the UN will use advanced 3D holographic technology
- 2:47to project a fake alien invasion or a second coming in the sky.
- 2:53So basically, Spider-Man far from home.
- 2:57Yes but but but also there was the
- 2:59religious aspect of it which is the second coming part
- 3:02they were supposed to project a image
- 3:05of jesus descending well according
- 3:09to some people that we've seen over the years they've already seen jesus in
- 3:12the sky yeah yeah yeah yeah well that that one you told me about michael jackson
- 3:17moonwalking the other day blew my mind the lightning strike yeah yeah yeah yeah
- 3:24yeah but but but yeah it is is interesting because,
- 3:29i mean we're like okay you can you can project the alien ship or the spaceship
- 3:36whatever you want to call it but when it's time to i mean because you got to
- 3:41attack right so how are you going to fake that part of. Right.
- 3:46We're just going to be shooting missiles at Holograph. Right.
- 3:49The first one is going to go right through. We're going to be like, oh.
- 3:51Right. Right. It clearly is a hoax, you know. So, yeah. But that one was a pretty
- 3:57popular one. I do remember that.
- 3:59My whole thing is, if you read the Bible, when Jesus comes back,
- 4:06it is not going to be peaceful.
- 4:09So there's not going to be just, oh, I'm here. No, people are going to be getting wrecked.
- 4:17Weeping and gnashing of teeth, as the Bible says.
- 4:21So so even that is like, OK, you can you can project the image all you want
- 4:25to, which if he's white, I'm immediately going. I don't know who that is.
- 4:33Y'all going back in the house yeah yeah yeah i don't
- 4:36i don't i don't recognize that guy which you know he
- 4:39probably would be but you know and this
- 4:42isn't racist y'all but geographically it's just impossible for jesus to be a
- 4:48white man i'm sorry it is get over it he's not white okay all right bro rewrite
- 4:55history in your own house yeah yeah for real though you want you You want me
- 4:59to pick one that? Yeah. Yeah.
- 5:01Let's let's talk about this one because I sprung this one on you.
- 5:04Let's talk about the reptilian effect.
- 5:12Now, I'll admit I've heard of it, but it became really, really big when COVID hit.
- 5:19I think it was even before COVID, though. Well, I guess for myself.
- 5:23But then when I started looking up, I was like, oh, shoot, this goes way back.
- 5:26I guess I just never paid attention to it.
- 5:29All right. So for those who are not aware, the reptilian effect.
- 5:36Think of the TV series V, which was great when we were kids. Used to love it.
- 5:43Yes. Used to come on WGM once a year.
- 5:46Yes. Think about that and and and recall the lizard people, the reptilian people.
- 5:54Well, there were people who claimed that this was actually not that far fetched.
- 5:59And your elites, meaning like the world elites, the super filthy rich,
- 6:05the royals in the UK, they were all basically faking as humans.
- 6:13They were actually reptilian people and they were eating babies and drinking
- 6:17blood and all of that kind of stuff. And look, if this sounds farfetched.
- 6:23Yeah, it is far-fetched, but look it up.
- 6:26This is actually a real conspiracy. And it was first brought to light by a sports
- 6:32broadcaster, David Icke. Uh-huh.
- 6:37And here's my favorite part. They're shape-shifting, and they are,
- 6:43well, they're shape-shifting reptilian humanoids from the Alpha Draconis star system.
- 6:51Where's that? I have no goddamn idea.
- 6:56What just you just made up the star system oh
- 7:00hey what they say
- 7:03a good conspiracy is something that you can you know it you can kind of make
- 7:08sense uh you know as you heard me say since we were way younger the only conspiracy
- 7:15theory which i'm sure we'll touch on that i think is remotely interesting is JFK.
- 7:21That's a good one. No, no, no.
- 7:24That's a real good one. Because it's interesting.
- 7:27You can sit there for days. You watch that video over and over.
- 7:31We'll get into it. Save that. Save that. Save that.
- 7:35You want to go? You want you want me to pick another one? I had one,
- 7:38but the one I said that I was going to bring up. Hold up.
- 7:43Why are you why are you thinking about it? Go ahead. Go ahead.
- 7:45Let's touch on MK Ultra real quick.
- 7:47Wow. Just popped up on my screens. I was scrolling. Yes.
- 7:50So if you guys aren't aware, MKUltra is the CIA secret program to develop mind
- 7:58control using like LSD and other drugs on unsuspecting or unknowing subjects.
- 8:06Now, I didn't start hearing about this until probably 10 years ago.
- 8:14And this is when someone kept saying that
- 8:17Shaq had a glitch during inside
- 8:21the NBA and they were like watch this video
- 8:24I know I know bear with me bear with me here so I don't know if it was Kenny
- 8:32talking or Ernie talking but all of a sudden Shaq just had this blank stare
- 8:38on his face and he was just looking straight ahead,
- 8:42wasn't reacting to anything that was being said and this was about.
- 8:47I don't know, 10, 15 seconds. And then he like snapped out of it and they were
- 8:52like, that's that MKUltra.
- 8:53They was like, look, he had a glitch. He had a glitch.
- 8:57So basically saying like like people have handlers and there are a lot of people
- 9:02out here who, you know, they have these glitches. You see people just zone out.
- 9:07That's them glitching from their MKUltra programming.
- 9:15Meanwhile, yes, it's considered a conspiracy theory. But in reality,
- 9:19we know it to be more true than a conspiracy.
- 9:22Well, the LSD mind control things, that's definitely true. Because Unabomber
- 9:27was a part of that study at Harvard.
- 9:29Right. So it's definitely something. But if that's the case for Shaq,
- 9:34remember when Draymond sat there for like 15 to 20 seconds a couple of years ago?
- 9:39And people were just like, yo, man, did he just fall asleep with his eyes open?
- 9:43They would have said that that's MK Ultra glitching, though.
- 9:47MK Ultra. Yeah.
- 9:49But, yes, you are right. They were using mind control techniques back in the
- 9:5470s in LSD. He was only 15.
- 9:58The Unabomber? Because, you know, he went to Harvard at, like,
- 10:0015 years old. That's interesting, bro. He was just a kid.
- 10:05Yeah, yeah. Messing people up. Yeah. Yeah, that's crazy.
- 10:10Again, another one. another fun one if you guys uh
- 10:13want to want to look that one up check out the
- 10:15mk ultra did you find the one you wanted to uh yeah all right
- 10:18let's get it so i've heard the rumors of
- 10:21you know australia denmark oh man yeah
- 10:24lay it lay it lay it on me bro however this one
- 10:27is about it's the finnish conspiracy it was from 2015 so the claim is the country
- 10:34of finland does not exist it is actually a patch of the Baltic Sea used by Japan
- 10:41and Russia for secret fishing rights.
- 10:46So Japan and Russia got together in 2015.
- 10:50Now, Fendon been around for forever in 2015 and created a country recently that's
- 11:00been around forever so they can secretly fish without rights.
- 11:05That's the claim. So somebody somewhere was sitting in a room and was like, yo, that might be fake.
- 11:13What here's the
- 11:16evidence finland was invented so the
- 11:19two nations could fish without regulation and the finnish people are
- 11:22actually just people living in eastern sweden
- 11:25who don't realize they aren't in a real country
- 11:29okay few few few things
- 11:32first what's so special about the fish that
- 11:36that's the first thing is like why would you need to create
- 11:39a fake country so you
- 11:42can go fishing but they live there but you don't know they're in a fake country
- 11:47what yeah so i'm here but i'm not yeah and i mean couldn't someone make their
- 11:52claim about any destination for the most part yeah you know you're not really
- 11:56y'all ain't really americans man that's fake though,
- 12:01ah yeah that's a crazy one that is really really yeah that's that's that's off that's off the wall.
- 12:12Let's talk about a classic let's talk about the flat earth and how it resurfaced
- 12:19which is which is wild that it even resurfaced because i thought we put this to bed centuries ago,
- 12:26but and i i i shouldn't even have to explain this but i'm going to do my best,
- 12:31what would you say 10 years 15 years ago that the the flat earth theory uh kind
- 12:37of reemerged Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 12:39And I know how it reemerged.
- 12:44It reemerged because people don't understand the Bible.
- 12:49So when you get a lot of people who read one or two passages and they think
- 12:55they understand and it stems from the firmament and the passage in the Bible
- 13:02where it talks about the firmaments,
- 13:04the three different firmaments and the dome.
- 13:08Theory that's covering the earth, which is why if you see those pictures,
- 13:12sometimes you see a dome over it.
- 13:14That's where it all stems from. So there are people who are going,
- 13:18well, if the Bible said that it's flat, then earth has to be flat.
- 13:23That's where it stems from.
- 13:26Now. So yes, it does. And I know you don't like doing this, so I'll do it for you again,
- 13:32because I know I did it a couple weeks ago i think it's just people
- 13:35stupid as hell well my
- 13:40like there's no way i'm picking
- 13:43up the bible seeing that and immediately saying to myself oh the earth is flat
- 13:51there's no like i don't get that from that me neither and i've i've read the
- 13:58bible you know grew up in church,
- 14:02never has that been discussed and you're telling me that the north pole was in the middle,
- 14:07of everything like it's flat and it's just sitting in the middle so if we travel
- 14:11from where we are if we travel east across the atlantic we should eventually run into the north pole,
- 14:17no you should eventually just fall off the face of the earth you know i'm saying
- 14:21but if we travel east we're gonna hit the north pole before we hit africa or parts of europe Mm hmm.
- 14:31No, I get you. I get you. But but but yeah, no, it's just like,
- 14:36why has no one fallen off the earth?
- 14:39If it's flat, there has to be an end.
- 14:43I always tell people this, of course, with me being in the logistics industry
- 14:48for as long as I was, you know, you can sell to China from the West Coast and from the East Coast.
- 14:54Is going to take you a lot longer from the East Coast, but it can be done,
- 14:59which proves that the earth is not flat.
- 15:03You would only be able to go one way if the earth was flat.
- 15:07So there's also more to it. The ice wall theory. I'm not familiar.
- 15:12So it says that one of the most popular sub theories is that the Antarctic Treaty
- 15:18of 61 exists solely to prevent people from sailing to the edge.
- 15:21They believe if you cross the ice wall, you would find more continents,
- 15:26extra resources or the edge of the world.
- 15:29Only if you go south. Yeah. What about the other three? Which,
- 15:34again, makes people stupid.
- 15:40So you only fall off the earth if you travel further north south.
- 15:45And also in a nutshell, so what people are saying is that the edge of the earth
- 15:49is just, what, an infinity pool?
- 15:51I guess so. The water just hits like this big mysterious glass wall and just reverberates back?
- 15:57Yeah. it it may it makes no sense bro
- 16:00the the flat earth thing if i'm being honest in
- 16:03all my 50 years it might be the dumbest thing dumbest
- 16:06conspiracy theory yeah other than one that
- 16:09we should definitely get into next yeah but i and i just want to state for the
- 16:14record i am a bible believing man i believe in god 100 but this flat earth thing
- 16:24i i just i i can't get down with it i'm just like, no, absolutely not.
- 16:31Absolutely not. Yeah. Well, here, we were just talking about the people who
- 16:36go up on the rockets for 10 minutes. Oh, yeah.
- 16:40Don't you think one of them would have came back and said, man, the earth is flat.
- 16:44Just a thought. Well, given about 10 years, there'll be a conspiracy theory
- 16:48that when Gayle King and all of them went up, that there was some sort of agreement.
- 16:54Somebody up there stopped time where it looked like they were only gone for 10 minutes.
- 16:59They were actually gone for six days and their memories were wiped out. Yeah. Yeah.
- 17:08Whatever. Go ahead. Go ahead, bro. 5G and COVID-19.
- 17:14I forgot about 5G completely. So as someone who was listed at that time as a.
- 17:24Basically an employee that had to be out. I remember we had a brief conversation
- 17:30about 5G and you were giving me some details about it.
- 17:33So I dealt with people on a daily basis when I was in the previous industry I was in.
- 17:41And I had to listen to this nonsense every single day.
- 17:47And I thought to myself, so what you're telling me is that radio waves cause viral infections?
- 17:54Is that what you're telling me yeah okay yeah i'm not talking you know.
- 18:01I might just leave before this transaction is
- 18:04even complete i'm not delivering nothing to you i'm just
- 18:07gonna leave when i get back to the office and they say what happened at
- 18:10that store i'll be like man about that store you know you you
- 18:13seriously need to just do some basic biology
- 18:17research and know that a radio
- 18:20wave could not affect your body in that capacity it
- 18:23led to people setting towers on fire all
- 18:26across europe that's wild like you imagine getting arrested and you sitting
- 18:33in the room and they asked you why to stop the spread of covet like if i would
- 18:38this is what remember i told you before i could never be a cop right then i
- 18:41would beat the hell out of you Right there in that room.
- 18:45What? Yeah. You put your neighbor's lives at risk because you thought burning
- 18:50down a 5G tower would stop the spread of COVID.
- 18:55My whole thing with COVID, the fact that people were saying that it wasn't real.
- 19:04And it's just like millions of people have died.
- 19:08They were all hired actors, according to what was that dude's name?
- 19:14I'm just like, what do you mean COVID's not real?
- 19:19It's not, man. I'm like, so you think they just killed a million people for an agenda? They do.
- 19:26An agenda that accomplished what?
- 19:29Just to get us to wear masks for a couple of months? That was their agenda?
- 19:34And I remember back when it first hit Indiana, when my niece got sick and was
- 19:39in the hospital. I was terrified.
- 19:43Absolutely terrified. And then I had to go to these different places every day
- 19:49and hear about how it's fake.
- 19:51And I got to remember my niece is in the hospital and it's taking everything
- 19:55in me not to punch people in the face.
- 19:57Well, it's an insult to everyone who lost a loved one to COVID.
- 20:02And while we're on that, COVID is giving people humongous balls.
- 20:08Well, I should be dead by now. You should be dead. I should be dead. Yeah.
- 20:11Yeah. What was it they said within like 18 months of any vaccinations,
- 20:16everybody was just going to start dropping dead? Yeah.
- 20:18Cancer and no balls swelling up to the size of grapefruits and all of that kind of stuff.
- 20:24Well, the fact that we're here talking confirms that we're not dead. Six years later.
- 20:30Yeah. And my balls didn't swell up.
- 20:36I'm just saying I guess I'm one of the lucky ones Because it never happened to me Same here,
- 20:45People, people, people, people, people, people Let's get into JFK, bro Yeah,
- 20:53So, I don't know if you have the same conspiracy that I have,
- 20:57and I refuse to watch the movie.
- 20:59I know you're probably going to bring it up. I'm telling you,
- 21:01man. I refuse to do it. You know why. I know. I know.
- 21:05But the conspiracy that I have is that there were more than just one shooter.
- 21:10Yeah. And if you look at the video,
- 21:13it certainly looks like his body moved forward first and then moved backwards,
- 21:21which indicates to me that he was shot from behind first and then shot.
- 21:29A second time. Well, we know it was two shooters because Ace Ventura confessed.
- 21:37So that's the conspiracy that I'm aware of with JFK.
- 21:43I know there are many others about who actually killed him. Was it the mob?
- 21:47Was it a government inside job? I know there are a lot of conspiracies about that.
- 21:52I think some people even say that Oswald was part of the MK Ultra.
- 21:58Program and he was his mission was to kill jfk for for for lack of a better term but i'm not i'm i'm
- 22:06not promoting that or i said i've heard
- 22:08those but i kind of like immediately dismiss them but him
- 22:12being shot twice that's one that's just like there's video evidence so the one
- 22:19that that i'm looking at is it's a little known secret service agent george
- 22:25hickey And the car behind him accidentally discharged his AR-15.
- 22:31Oh, really? That's another one. It was somebody they wrote in a book.
- 22:36It was a book that came out when they said that. Which points to him moving
- 22:40forward first. Yeah. So the name of the book is Mortal Error.
- 22:43Oh, wow. And they say that George Hickey's AR-15 discharge, which would give
- 22:50more reason for the government to cover it up.
- 22:52Yeah, yeah, yeah. No doubt. And that was one that I hadn't heard of until recently.
- 22:56I'm like, I ain't know nothing about this one. Oh, that, that, yeah.
- 23:00I mean, yeah, it definitely falls in line with him being shot from behind first
- 23:06and then being hit from a forward shot. Hmm.
- 23:10Interesting. That, I like that. I might actually do some research into that one. I like that.
- 23:15Yeah, somebody, yeah, they wrote a book. Somebody wrote a book about it and
- 23:18was like, yeah, that's what happened, which is why they're, they're trying to
- 23:21cover it up. I'm like damn I ain't never heard of that one um.
- 23:27Imagine being that guy. Man. Like, if it's real, can you imagine?
- 23:31Bro! He would have been dead in the week.
- 23:35You just killed the president, bro. What the fuck? What can you say? My bad? Right.
- 23:42Nah, ain't no my bad, brother. As soon as we turn this corner, your ass is arrested.
- 23:49Oh, they talk about them secret jails where nobody ever hear from you again.
- 23:54Well, sure. Be like in the Marvel movies.
- 23:57That floating ocean jail.
- 24:01My ass ain't going nowhere.
- 24:04It'll be until the day you die, fella. Man. Is it on me or is it on you?
- 24:10I think it might be me. I want to talk about my favorite one. Mm-hmm.
- 24:15Chemtrails. All right. Let's hit it.
- 24:18Also another stupid theory. I mean, you can ask anybody, 60,
- 24:2470, 80 years old, they've always been there.
- 24:28So this myth that they just started in the last 25, 30, 40 years is wild.
- 24:37They've been here. It's moisture. Coming off the wings of planes, moisture.
- 24:45It's controlling the weather. Okay. I hear you.
- 24:49You look up on a hot July day, not a cloud in the sky, just chemtrails.
- 24:56What's it doing to the weather?
- 24:59Is it hot? It also supposed to, you know, there is biochemicals that's falling
- 25:06from the sky and seeping down into us and making us sick. Yeah.
- 25:10Also from the chemtrails.
- 25:12So there's also that one out there, too, which.
- 25:15It's interesting because I had the sniffles the other day. Well,
- 25:18so whenever someone says something like that's just very general and blanket,
- 25:24I always have to say, who's the target?
- 25:30If if if the goal is is is is population control, then OK.
- 25:37But that's Bill Gates is a arena population control.
- 25:42But the world doesn't operate without a population.
- 25:46You know what I'm saying? So if you go, well, it's the limited resources.
- 25:50So they got to do population control.
- 25:52The only reason we have limited resources is because these rich assholes, one, are taking it all.
- 26:01But two, they won't allow resources to be funneled because they're greedy.
- 26:08It's more than enough resources on this earth for everyone to live.
- 26:15I ain't going to say great, but there should be nothing about food shortages
- 26:20or water shortages or any type of food insecurity.
- 26:26There's more than enough land, more than enough crops and all of that kind of
- 26:30stuff for us to live comfortably on this earth for a very long time.
- 26:37So just like who's the target? Just any and everybody.
- 26:41So you think these people don't worry about their family members?
- 26:45Getting caught up in the fray?
- 26:47Right, because they're not in some bunker. Right. Underground.
- 26:51Now, mama, don't go out today or tomorrow. We're going to put these chemtrails
- 26:55up in the air. I don't want you to get sick.
- 26:57Now, if we looked up and there were no politicians or any elected officials
- 27:02anywhere to be found, yeah, now it's time to worry. Yeah.
- 27:06Then, yeah, absolutely. I may think about it, but come on.
- 27:10Yeah, yeah, yeah. And even with like, this is going to move into one,
- 27:15But I'm going to try and speed through it for time purposes.
- 27:18Like they're saying that, you know, AIDS. Oh, yeah, yeah.
- 27:21No, was was a targeted thing saying COVID was targeted. And it's just like,
- 27:26but targeted towards who, though?
- 27:30You know what I'm saying? And it's just like too many unintended consequences.
- 27:36If that's the truth, that that makes them incredibly inept and incredibly inefficient.
- 27:43If that's the goal If they were targeting the black community With HIV and AIDS
- 27:48Or targeting the gay community With HIV and AIDS You sure did a shitty job at
- 27:54it If you're trying to wipe out An entire group Yeah,
- 28:00you did a terrible job You wouldn't have even allowed.
- 28:04Those medications To come along Even now where people with HIV can take them
- 28:09And be non-detectable Like take blood tests and be non-detectorate, Ryan White.
- 28:16Probably would not be dead if that was the case.
- 28:20I mean, this is a teenage white kid, all-American white kid.
- 28:24I don't think they were trying to kill him.
- 28:27And his was from a blood transfusion. From a blood transfusion,
- 28:30correct. Rock Hudson, I mean, he was a beloved actor.
- 28:34Don't think they would have been trying to kill Rock Hudson.
- 28:37They would have cloned him.
- 28:40Go into it. Well, no, I want to do a couple rapid fire.
- 28:45Okay, okay, okay. So this is one I didn't I'd never heard this.
- 28:49There's rumors that Chuck E. Cheese recycles uneaten pizza slices.
- 28:55Yuck. Yeah.
- 28:58Yuck. Oh, my goodness. And I mean, I guess they grind it back down, put it in the dough.
- 29:05That's that's a rumor. Oh, yeah.
- 29:09Disney's Frozen, the movie was made to basically stifle Google results.
- 29:16So now if you type in Disney's Frozen, it no longer pulls up Walt Disney's head
- 29:22being cryogenically frozen.
- 29:24It just shows the movie Frozen.
- 29:26So there's a rumor that Disney chose the name of that movie and created it.
- 29:31So going forward, you can no longer look up Walt Disney cryogenically frozen head.
- 29:38I briefly heard about Walt Disney being frozen.
- 29:42I did not know that there was a connection between the two.
- 29:46If that's the case, that's smart as hell. It really is. Because if you want
- 29:49people to stop asking you dumbass questions, put a movie out called Frozen.
- 29:53Yeah. You know, I've never seen it, by the way.
- 29:56Well, I had two granddaughters. It's a musical, man. I've seen.
- 30:00Yeah, but nah can't do
- 30:03it bro it's it's you know it's a good
- 30:06movie cannot do it bro it's
- 30:09a good movie cannot cannot cannot even
- 30:13animated musicals i cannot do it i i i'll i'll i'll take that back briefly because
- 30:19i did watch moana with my granddaughter yeah and then that's also like a musical
- 30:24but uh yeah also a good movie yeah it really is a couple of rapid fire ones
- 30:31area Area 51 and Roswell,
- 30:33the supposed alien landing and the secret government base down there in New Mexico.
- 30:39We talked about that a few episodes ago when Obama was doing his interview around
- 30:44the Super Bowl and basically said that it Roswell and Area 51 don't exist.
- 30:51Can I I'm going to add something? Yeah, yeah, yeah. So the rebuttal,
- 30:55people listening to this were Area 51 fanatics, the rebuttal for you would be,
- 30:59why do they keep trying to shoot at us?
- 31:02And here's the reason. It's a military base. You're not allowed to go on any
- 31:07military base without getting shot at.
- 31:09Well, here's my other rebuttal is UFOs.
- 31:15People think UFO means alien, means alien, and it does not. How many UFOs I see every day?
- 31:23Unidentified flying object. That's all it means, folks. Does not mean alien.
- 31:30It could be a test plane that they're doing, a prototype.
- 31:34You know what I'm saying? It doesn't mean that it's alien. I can look out this
- 31:38window. And can't identify the plane flying by.
- 31:41And I could say, was that a plane? I can't tell if that's a plane.
- 31:46So that plane immediately to me becomes a UFO.
- 31:49Right, right, right, right. Like some little green men work for American Airlines now. Yeah, yeah.
- 31:55Some other quick hitters, 9-11 being an inside job. I don't want to get too much into that.
- 32:02The moon landing being a hoax, you know, that's one that I've always kept near and dear to my heart.
- 32:08But we don't have to go into it. Or the fact that what I mentioned before we
- 32:12started, the moon being a projection.
- 32:14A projection. Yeah. Yeah. A hologram. Yeah. We don't have to go into those.
- 32:18We're speeding through those for time purposes, guys.
- 32:21Trying to think what's one. Paul McCartney being dead. That was one that was
- 32:26interesting that you hit me with the other day.
- 32:30What's one that we actually want to stop and talk about, though?
- 32:34Let's talk about the Tuskegee syphilis study.
- 32:39So for those who know, especially for us in the black community that know what
- 32:45this is, I think one of the huge misconceptions is that the government gave
- 32:49these men syphilis. Correct.
- 32:51Government did not give these men syphilis. Correct.
- 32:54These men came forward who already had syphilis. Correct.
- 32:58And instead of treating them, the government gave them placebo,
- 33:02placebo, sugar pills. Correct. Yesterday. Correct.
- 33:06And did not treat them. They didn't treat them. Correct. The body response was. Correct.
- 33:12You know, as they go through it. So correct. So, no, they did not give these
- 33:16men syphilis. They just didn't treat.
- 33:19They didn't treat it. And and and this is not a conspiracy.
- 33:23No, this is a fact. You can you can research this. You can look this up.
- 33:27This actually is they gave them to. Right. Yeah. Right.
- 33:30But but there was 100 percent a syphilis study where they did not treat a group
- 33:37of black men in Tuskegee.
- 33:40And so so I'm saying all of that to say, you know, for the people who go,
- 33:43you can't trust the government. Yes and no.
- 33:47As black people as black men
- 33:50there are certain things that of course we're naturally distrusting about when
- 33:56it when it comes to the government and and yes the government does lie about
- 34:01certain things but like we were just talking about the the aids being.
- 34:09Distributed as a weapon, COVID being distributed as a weapon,
- 34:13chemtrails being administered as a weapon.
- 34:17The government would have to be in control of all of that stuff. Everything.
- 34:24That basically means that the government is actively trying to kill its citizens.
- 34:33And I just, again, again,
- 34:36It's OK to have a healthy mistrust. Absolutely.
- 34:41But to go that far is bonkers, in my opinion.
- 34:46You know what I'm saying? It's like you got to use discernment.
- 34:50You know, some things you can go. Oh, yeah, I could totally see that.
- 34:54Other things is just like absolutely not lying about Roswell for all of these years in Area 51. No.
- 35:02Sorry, people. No, it's cool for people who, because, I mean,
- 35:06if you go to Roswell, I mean, they got the gift shops.
- 35:09Oh, yeah, yeah. You're going to spend a group.
- 35:11You know, stuff like that, that have kind of spawned out of it. Yeah.
- 35:15It's fine. Yeah, yeah, yeah. But these people that live their lives just beating
- 35:21it upside everybody's head that it's true. It's like, hey, man, you need some help.
- 35:25And then it's like, well, you know, they killed so-and-so to keep this a secret.
- 35:29Like you were just saying, it's a military base. That's always my favorite.
- 35:32Probably killed him because he didn't have no damn business being there.
- 35:35Do not go past this gate. Why don't they want us to go past this gate?
- 35:39Because it's a military base.
- 35:44You can't go on any military base without authorization.
- 35:49And if you try and strong arm your way, you're probably going to get hurt.
- 35:53Or shot and killed immediately.
- 35:56Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Not a conspiracy, it's just them doing their job.
- 36:02And by the way, the experiment went on for 40 years.
- 36:09The syphilis? Yeah. Oh, wow. 40 years.
- 36:12And the only reason it was penicillin, what, 1940s, that could have treated
- 36:17it, came out of the 1940s.
- 36:20And for another 30 plus years, they were just like, nah. Well, 20 plus years.
- 36:26So most of those people, if not all Could have been treated A lot of those men
- 36:30died Yeah, a lot of them did die And again.
- 36:37We know that this is how a lot of cures are actually discovered is they,
- 36:43they get now, whether people are willingly participants or, um.
- 36:48Know, they're just being duped. It happens. They kind of let diseases fester
- 36:54and then they try and find a cure for them. It happens. Does it suck?
- 36:59Yes, absolutely. It sucks. But that's kind of how a lot of discoveries are made
- 37:04in the medical field. Absolutely. Unfortunately.
- 37:08Is there a better way of doing it? I don't know. I hope so.
- 37:12But that's kind of just the way it is at this point
- 37:15i don't know bro any any any more you want to rapid fire through real quick
- 37:19no i think i think we're good on my oh well i'm good on my end yeah yeah i am
- 37:24i am also all right y'all well we're gonna leave our conspiracy theories right
- 37:31there are popular conspiracy theories but,
- 37:34if we missed out on some or there are some that you want to address hit us up
- 37:38in the comments and we'll you know revisit it in a future show so yeah leave
- 37:42us a comment tell us that we're off base or tell us, hey, did y'all hear about this conspiracy?
- 37:46And if it's worth it, we might give it a shot on the show.
- 37:49All right. With that, we're going to move right into our current event.
- 37:55You got a current event you want to talk about, my brother? I do,
- 37:57but it's going to be a mixture. It's going to be a current event and a rant. Yeah.
- 38:01So I'm sure you've heard about the teacher that was killed with the senior prank. No.
- 38:08So the teacher named Jason Hughes, He and his wife both taught at North Hall
- 38:14High School. I think it's in Georgia.
- 38:17So the story is senior prank gone wrong. Teacher was killed right in front of his own home.
- 38:23Oh, wow. By five 18-year-olds. Oh, wow.
- 38:26Like they jumped him or? No, no, no. They ran him over.
- 38:30Oh, wow. So he came running out of the house to stop what they were doing.
- 38:36Yeah. They were toilet paper. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 38:39The front yard. And he tripped and fell.
- 38:43Running into the streets and as they were leaving one
- 38:47of the cars ran him over so it's it's
- 38:51been it's been kind of making his rounds for the last you
- 38:54know almost week uh you know with it and then this morning i see the headline
- 38:59charges dropped so i immediately go what so i stopped what i was doing like
- 39:05i was doing something i stopped and read the article so apparently he knew that
- 39:11they were going to toilet paper the house.
- 39:14So he was waiting. He just didn't know what time.
- 39:18And he was going to run out, you know, and just try to stop him doing it.
- 39:21Just ha ha, senior funny.
- 39:24The family is behind and 100% supportive of these five 18 year olds charges
- 39:31being dropped. And they were dropped.
- 39:33They went to the prosecutor, charges dropped. So this lady lost her husband.
- 39:39I think they had children.
- 39:41So these children have lost their father.
- 39:44That's the current event part. Here's my rant to Americans.
- 39:49Bro, our school was pretty diverse. Black, white, Hispanic.
- 39:55Can you recall anybody we knew or went to school with that was white or any
- 40:00of the schools around us talking about TP in somebody's house?
- 40:05No, I've only ever seen it on television and in movies. Yeah.
- 40:10It's stupid. It's dumb. And it's going to get well, unfortunately, it got somebody killed.
- 40:17Bro, do you know what I would do if I came outside and people would TP in my house in my front yard?
- 40:22It'd be a problem. You'd see me on the news.
- 40:26I don't I don't. Why were the charges dropped? Because they chalked it up as
- 40:31an accident because he told the family, he told his family that he knew that somebody was coming.
- 40:38So he was waiting and he was just going to go out, surprise them because they
- 40:42didn't know that he knew.
- 40:44But since he tripped on his own and fell, they're considering it an accident.
- 40:50But here's my rebuttal to that Had he tripped and fell Into the street And y'all
- 40:58wasn't there TPing his house He'd still be alive He might have a concussion
- 41:01Maybe cut himself But you were there.
- 41:06You're one of my oldest friends, my brother from another mother.
- 41:11You know I'm a gun owner. If I'm sitting here feeling it around with my gun
- 41:15and bang, it was an accident.
- 41:18That's my boy. I love him. I'm still going to jail.
- 41:23And if it ain't for a while, it's going to.
- 41:26Well, if it's not for a long time, it's going to be for a little while until
- 41:29they figure it all out. Right. I'm going to jail.
- 41:32Oh, I don't I don't I don't I don't I don't get it. The accident part.
- 41:36They say the family went to the prosecutor and was fully on board with them dropping the charges.
- 41:43The teenagers and the one guy who had the promising football career who was
- 41:47killed. Was it last summer or whenever it was?
- 41:50That kid's in jail right now.
- 41:52That was his boy. It was an accident.
- 41:57If a felony is committed in commission of another crime, everyone goes down.
- 42:03Now, if and this, although, quote unquote, harmless TP in somebody's house is
- 42:12a crime and a felony occurred in the process of another crime.
- 42:18Yes, they were all arrested. I understand that. But then the charges are dropped at the family's.
- 42:26OK, who runs who runs the prosecutor's office?
- 42:30The family? Exactly. Because the state. always has the right to pick up the charges.
- 42:36Right. We can hear what you're saying. We don't want to ruin these five kids.
- 42:40And I would even be inclined to agree with you at that point.
- 42:45Maybe at 18, although you're still young.
- 42:49You're not stupid. You don't go. I don't know, man. Senior prank.
- 42:54We didn't do that. No, no, no. But but the fact that someone lost their life,
- 42:59like you were just saying, a husband, there has to be consequences for this.
- 43:05Whether whether the the action was unintended or not, there has to be some type of consequence.
- 43:10Someone lost their life. Now, do I think these five kids set out to kill somebody? Absolutely not.
- 43:15They're probably mortified. Right.
- 43:18Their parents are mortified. Right. I'm sure they're crying somewhere right
- 43:22now because they say he was a beloved teacher and everybody liked him.
- 43:25But at the same token, when you're letting these people off this way,
- 43:30what is that telling them?
- 43:32Yeah. Not saying that they're going to go out and do something else stupid.
- 43:35They might go on to live fulfilling lives. But you killed someone.
- 43:38Well, I'm just sitting here thinking that everyone who's ever been convicted
- 43:43of an involuntary manslaughter charge should immediately file an appeal. It was an accident.
- 43:48Especially in that state. Hey, hey, hey, hey, hey. Those guys got off.
- 43:52What's up? And I had evidence that it was an accident. But you still gave me 15 years. Right.
- 43:57Right. No misdemeanor. No criminal mischief. Oh, we.
- 44:02Oh, we. That's a tough one. That's a tough one.
- 44:07I'm a I'm a I'm a were you done with that? I'm going to stay local with my current event.
- 44:14Just this week, the governor of Indiana partnered with Turning Point USA,
- 44:24which if you're not familiar, is Charlie Kirk's crackpot organization.
- 44:28Partnered with Turning Point USA to have chapters in high schools and colleges
- 44:39across the state of Indiana.
- 44:42What the hell for her?
- 44:45I hate how Republicans try and wrap things up in a nice, soft package using Christianity,
- 44:56using words like freedom to promote hate and bigotry.
- 45:02And that's all Turning Point USA is.
- 45:07They teach hate and they teach bigotry. Listen to their mission statement.
- 45:13I'm not making this up.
- 45:15There's. Yes, you have freedom of speech. First of all, you're not being oppressed.
- 45:22No. Show me any white man. I'll show you someone who's never been oppressed, at least in America.
- 45:28You've never been oppressed. You're not currently being oppressed.
- 45:32No one's restricting your rights in any way, shape or form.
- 45:38And for the governor to support this is a slap in the face when I can remember
- 45:44just a few years back, all of the outrage,
- 45:49the fake outrage about CRT, which was never taught in public schools, by the way. Any school.
- 45:55Yeah. But all of the fake outrage about CRT being taught in schools,
- 46:00critical race theory for those who don't know.
- 46:02But you're sitting here championing, championing, whatever you're supporting
- 46:09this crap. Knock it off, bro.
- 46:13People of Indiana, we need to vote Mike Braun out.
- 46:19I know I've said that previously. I'm going to continue. This guy is terrible.
- 46:24We need to vote him out. He does nothing for Indiana.
- 46:29Absolutely nothing. Nothing. He's one of the worst politicians I can think of.
- 46:34And there are some bad ones.
- 46:36This guy is all about profiting for himself and promoting racism.
- 46:43That's all he does. Period.
- 46:47And the fact that his lieutenant governor is who he is.
- 46:51Another racist idiot. Tells you what type of politician he is.
- 46:55This is who you picked. This is your guy.
- 46:59And the fact that they, as you mentioned, their mission statement,
- 47:04to identify, educate, train, and organize students to promote the principles
- 47:09of freedom, free market, and limited government.
- 47:12So those last two words, limited government, aren't you being supported by the
- 47:18United States government? Correct.
- 47:20Correct. They're behind you
- 47:22100%. Correct. I mean, your new overlord is in front of people saying...
- 47:30And what does she say? You need to stand up if you're a... Be a white male man
- 47:35and be a leader, which is redundant to say white male man.
- 47:40I love how the memes and the videos came out because people were...
- 47:43They took it as she was saying, male man.
- 47:46And man... Man, when look, first time I heard it, I was thinking the same thing.
- 47:50I had to hold in my smirk. I'm just like, oh, wow, really?
- 47:54You work for the post office now? We either persecute male, white male? Right. Right.
- 48:00I say, I got to go talk to my mailman tomorrow. Hey, bro, you good?
- 48:04Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. And just the fact that you can say that, though.
- 48:10You let the cat out of the bag, as they say. You gave up the game, as they say.
- 48:16You're about promoting white nationalism.
- 48:20Just call it what it is. Well, you see that brother that was one of their,
- 48:24he was a higher up at one of their chapters. And he resigned when a group chat
- 48:28about neo-Nazi behavior and taking out black people.
- 48:33Really? Yeah. Within turning point. Within turning point. Interesting.
- 48:37It's a black dude. What was you doing there in the face of black?
- 48:39That's what I was about to say, bro. Why are you there to begin with? Where your parents at?
- 48:44Anybody. Ain't nobody told you, hey, man, this ain't good for you. This might not.
- 48:49Put a turning point where we from. Go ahead. Yeah. We'll see what happens. Yeah.
- 48:54Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. That's that's my that's my current event.
- 48:58And my call to action is whenever the election comes around,
- 49:03we have to replace Mike Brown.
- 49:06Send this to him. I don't care. I'm not a fan. We need to replace this clown.
- 49:13With that being said, we're going to move right into our work,
- 49:17our rant about a random topic.
- 49:20You got to work or did you do it with your. OK, all right, cool.
- 49:24All right. Well, I'm going to write about something.
- 49:27Our very first episode that we did, and I'm not telling you guys to go listen
- 49:31to it. I actually hate that episode.
- 49:35But our very first episode of this podcast was about independent media.
- 49:42When we did our Burn Hollywood Burn episode, we talked about black representation in media.
- 49:51Need more black representation.
- 49:55There are five black owned media networks, five, only five black owned media networks.
- 50:05And people wonder why our stories can't be told,
- 50:10why our perspective isn't out
- 50:14there and it's it's it's for that very
- 50:17reason now there are 20 other
- 50:20streaming black-owned network so that puts us up to 25 19 total 19 what streaming
- 50:30oh oh i'm off one i'm on i'm on i'm on i'm gonna wait i'm gonna finish okay
- 50:35something that happened recently okay this had to be like really recently.
- 50:39Okay. But, but my, my, my, my point is that's a small sample size for black media.
- 50:48Know that magic sold aspire
- 50:52i was very disappointed to hear that bob
- 50:55johnson been sold mtv to viacom which is basically owned by white people so
- 51:03even even networks that masquerade as being black owned are not really Black-owned,
- 51:12which means that they have programming say-so.
- 51:20If they don't like the messages being put out, they can easily just say,
- 51:26we're not talking about that today.
- 51:29And there you go. Your Black programming is done, kaput, over.
- 51:34We need our own Black networks, y'all. All right?
- 51:39I wish I had the money to start one. I start one tomorrow. But I'm just saying
- 51:44we need our own black networks.
- 51:46We need to support black media because this is the only way that a black message
- 51:52is going to get out there,
- 51:54which is why we do this podcast to try and give you things from a black man's perspective.
- 52:02That's my right. Hit me. Hit me with your stat. So Paramount bought out Tyler Perry.
- 52:08So he owns 25% of BET Plus So
- 52:11they bought him out They're folding BET Plus
- 52:14Completely And they're taking the programming Now you'll still be able to get
- 52:19it But it'll just be Paramount Plus No catering towards Black No So they gave
- 52:26him whatever they gave him I don't know what the dollar amount was But bought
- 52:30him out He owned 25% of BET Plus Yeah.
- 52:35It's shocking It's shocking,
- 52:37And my wife and I were talking about this earlier. I mean, I know OWN is still out there.
- 52:43Oh, yeah, yeah. But it's like, what are you doing? Where you at? Yeah.
- 52:48Yeah. What are you doing? Like you just said, we know you're there,
- 52:52but I should be like, I should be talking about you at least three to four times a week. Right.
- 52:58Like, especially for us growing up, BET was a daily thing for us. Right.
- 53:03Every day we watched BET. And then what did it do? it became a parody of who
- 53:10black people really are.
- 53:11It became shows where you find the most tomfoolery and nonsense and dress it
- 53:21up as black people being independent because they can travel,
- 53:26because they look good, because they dress well.
- 53:28Yep yep and and yet there there's
- 53:32no real hard-hitting consequential programming
- 53:37for black people right all you see is
- 53:40the foolishness yes news being told from a black when we were young you had
- 53:45uh what's the pretty boy ed ed gordon yeah they did hard-hitting news jackie
- 53:51reed did hard-hitting news on bet nine o'clock you know what i'm saying we had
- 53:56like like the team summit stuff where they would.
- 53:58Talk about hard-hitting issues that black
- 54:02teens were going through and we tuned in
- 54:05like we wanted to see and now we have nothing no
- 54:08none of that anymore and i i gotta i gotta look this up but you know we always
- 54:13diss on tubi because some of the black movies on tubi are just terrible just
- 54:17wild i heard that it's owned by fox it is i think it is makes sense now makes
- 54:24sense will greenlight all of these dumb,
- 54:27terrible black movies because this is how we want black people to view themselves.
- 54:32So, Tubi is owned by Fox. It was acquired in 2020 for $440 million. Mm-hmm.
- 54:42Yeah, that's my work, y'all. We need more black media networks.
- 54:47With that being said, we're going to move right into our five on the black hand side movie review.
- 54:55And that movie is Friday, Friday.
- 55:03Go ahead, bro. So, Friday released in 1995, co-written by Ice Cube and DJ Poop.
- 55:10$3.5 million budget, which I know we talked about yesterday.
- 55:13We weren't sure what it was.
- 55:15Which I'm shocked it was that high. Yeah, yeah. But in the beginning,
- 55:18I know it was going to be something where they thought they would have to fund it themselves.
- 55:22And Ice Cube was going to look for other celebrities to invest.
- 55:26But the movie's cast. You got Ice Cube as Craig. Chris Tucker as Smokey.
- 55:32John Witherspoon as Mr. Jones. Willie Jones, Regina King is Dana Jones, Tiny Lister is Deebo,
- 55:42Nealong is Debbie, Bernie Mack is Pastor Cleaver, and Faison Love is Big Worm.
- 55:50Big Worm. I mean, Big Perm.
- 55:54What's up, Big Perm? I mean, Big Worm. F. Gary Gray is director. Yep.
- 56:00Little known fact, F. Gary Gray grew up on that street. Did this put him on?
- 56:05Yes. Okay. Yes. Because he used to do videos. Right, right.
- 56:09The street he grew up on is where the movie was filmed. Okay.
- 56:12And that house belonged to a family friend of F. Gary Gray. Oh, wow. Interesting.
- 56:18Yeah. That's what's up. Yep.
- 56:21So 20 days to shoot it, most of Chris Tucker's lines in the movie,
- 56:27improvised. Ad-libbed. Oh, wow. Ad-libbed.
- 56:31The story of Craig getting fired for stealing boxes comes from a story that
- 56:35somebody that Ice Cube knows told him.
- 56:38Oh, interesting. That they got fired for stealing boxes.
- 56:41Interesting. And of course, we know who he is, but Michael Clarke Duncan,
- 56:45this was his on-screen debut. Yes.
- 56:47And he was unlisted in the credits.
- 56:49Well, there's different versions of the movie also, though, right?
- 56:54There's like a director's cut with Megan Good as a little kid talking about Debo.
- 57:01I forgot about Megan Good. And they're like, my daddy kicked his ass or something like that.
- 57:06I hate him. My daddy kicked his ass. So, yeah.
- 57:10But, yeah. So, so, so basically this movie is about Craig and Smokey.
- 57:16Like you said, Craig gets fired on his day off.
- 57:19For stealing boxes. For stealing boxes. And his dad is on his case about,
- 57:24you know, you'd better find another job or go to school or you're going to have to get out.
- 57:28And it's just a day in the hood and all the silly nonsense that two young black
- 57:35men can get into just because they don't have anything better to do.
- 57:41Bro, think about us at 16, 17.
- 57:46Think about like some of the crazy. Matter of fact I know I mention this every
- 57:52once in a while When I think about it But remember that night Me, you.
- 57:58Somebody else went to that party in Cow City.
- 58:05Don't tell me that wasn't one of the funniest nights. Like, everything.
- 58:09Oh, man. My cousin. Me and me and a clown up in there. Everything weird that
- 58:15could happen in the house. Yeah.
- 58:18Happened that night. The fact that there was a barbecue grill on the sidewalk.
- 58:23Yeah. With pork chops that look like they've been on there for like 12 and a half hours. Yeah.
- 58:27And they won't, because I went back the next day. They were still on there.
- 58:31I believe it. The next day. I believe it.
- 58:33I believe it. That chicken thigh was sitting in that grease.
- 58:38And it's just like, did you even turn the grease on? Like, what is this?
- 58:42Man, that fool laid on that. Man.
- 58:45And act like he. Man.
- 58:48Yeah. Yeah. That's why Friday was so relatable. No, for real.
- 58:52Because days like that. Yep. Have happened. Yep.
- 58:56Yep. just out the blue is just like what in the
- 58:59world is happening here so so
- 59:04we were talking about the cultural effect that
- 59:07new jack city had last week which it did i think friday may have had an even
- 59:13bigger cultural effect bro well it was one of the first movies out of especially
- 59:18coming out the west coast that didn't show us violence yeah and gang i mean
- 59:22it showed a little bit but right Right, right, right. It made to be fun.
- 59:25Right, right, right. It was one of the first movies that didn't give us all that gloom and doom.
- 59:30Right, right, right. And I mean, just...
- 59:34Gosh, I'm just going to try and like name some of those cultural lines that
- 59:38no matter who you are, if you've seen the movie, you recognize.
- 59:42Y'all don't never got two things that match. Yes.
- 59:45Ham. No burger.
- 59:50By Felicia. By Felicia. Right.
- 59:54That you got knocked out. Right. Right. Just Debo, period, is is a legendary
- 1:00:00character. Everyone knows who Deebo is now.
- 1:00:03For all the roles that Tommy Tiny Lister played, Deebo is probably his most
- 1:00:08recognizable role. Before that, it was Zeus.
- 1:00:11It was Zeus, correct. Back in the 90s. Correct. That was the 80s.
- 1:00:1580s. Yeah. Yeah, yeah, yeah. It's in Fort Hulk Hogan, the rest of the night there. Yeah.
- 1:00:19You got the legendary John Witherspoon. Rest in peace.
- 1:00:24That bathroom lecture. Oh, yeah. Oh, yeah. Somebody open the window.
- 1:00:29You ain't got no job you ain't gotta worry about catching a dog you gotta worry
- 1:00:33about a dog catching your ass.
- 1:00:38Oh man yeah yeah just the whole stanley part of it and stay off my grass you
- 1:00:44know we grew up with people like that in our neighborhood that were adamant
- 1:00:49about being uh don't walk on my grass corner of tapper and lions for sure for
- 1:00:53sure cut across that man grass and yeah don't and Mr. Cesar was coming out there.
- 1:00:58Oh, yeah. All the time he coming out. Hey, walk on the sidewalk,
- 1:01:02you fella. And you wouldn't dare say nothing to him. No, sir.
- 1:01:06Mr. Cesar was in great shape. Sorry about that. Yep.
- 1:01:09Mr. Cesar was probably 70 years old. He run around the park 10 times and not even break a sweat.
- 1:01:16Mr. Cesar was in great shape. Come out there, body slam your ass. Hey, for real, though.
- 1:01:21But you know what? I also like about Friday is how serious it got at the in
- 1:01:26when he did finally fight Deboa.
- 1:01:30And the whole, don't shoot them. Oh, yeah. Yeah. Fight with your hands.
- 1:01:36Don't shoot them. I was like, okay, this guy, this guy real serious now. Like, oh, wow.
- 1:01:41It addressed domestic violence. Yeah. Yeah.
- 1:01:45And standing up to it. And standing up to it and standing up to the neighborhood bully.
- 1:01:49And the fact that you don't have to solve everything with a gun.
- 1:01:53Right. You know, he told him, hey, we fought. And if you lose,
- 1:01:57you live to fight another day.
- 1:01:59That's real. Say, I'm a man without it.
- 1:02:03Yeah. Say, you think you're a man with that gun. Yeah. I'm a man without it. Yeah, prove it there.
- 1:02:09Prove it. Yeah, yeah. Friday is a classic, y'all.
- 1:02:13I know we've been giving it away like the last few movies that we've done,
- 1:02:17but that's because they've been classics.
- 1:02:19New Jack City is a classic. Friday is a classic. Something else about the Felicia character.
- 1:02:25They didn't want to give her the position because apparently she came to the
- 1:02:29read looking like a supermodel. I was about to say she was probably too pretty.
- 1:02:35And that's why they gave her men's clothes.
- 1:02:38That makes sense. Yeah. So they said, well, how can we make her not look so pretty?
- 1:02:43Yeah. So they put her in oversized men's clothes and, of course,
- 1:02:45her hair. Yeah. You know, which is wild. Yeah. Yeah.
- 1:02:50Don't you ever come over here again? That's what she said. I need to borrow
- 1:02:55your microwave real quick.
- 1:03:00Here's something that a lot of people miss, bro. We didn't even mention Paula,
- 1:03:04bro. How do we not mention Paula?
- 1:03:07Paula J. Parker. She was Craig's girlfriend.
- 1:03:11How do we not mention her? But yeah, when she calls Craig.
- 1:03:17Who you was at the movie with? It's a dude laying next to her in the bed.
- 1:03:22In the bed, yeah. That's wild.
- 1:03:25She yelling at him about messing around, and she got a dude laying in the bed
- 1:03:30with her. That is crazy, bro.
- 1:03:33Yeah, her character was wild. Yeah. And, of course, Miss Parker.
- 1:03:39Yeah. Dog, you know, Bernie Mac is passed. Mm-hmm. John Witherspoon is passed. Mm-hmm.
- 1:03:47Tommy Tiny Lister has passed.
- 1:03:49But Nicole, is it Nicole Parker? The one he called Freddie Jackson? She passed also.
- 1:03:56Yeah, yeah, I remember when she passed.
- 1:03:59Yeah, yeah, she passed also. And it's just like, wow, man. So a conspiracy kind
- 1:04:05of go along with the episode.
- 1:04:07I saw a video where somebody said Bernie Mac showed up to cheat with Ms. Jones.
- 1:04:15And they just threw him in the movie? No, no, no. Think about it.
- 1:04:19Craig's supposed to be at work.
- 1:04:20Oh, he was about to be with her. Oh, I got you. I got you. Cable man coming.
- 1:04:27I got you. Somebody got to be home.
- 1:04:31Got you. Because if Craig wasn't going to be there, she would have had to come
- 1:04:34home. Mr. Jones, he dog catch. You don't know where he's going to be.
- 1:04:38So Bernie Mac didn't just happen upon the street. He pulled right up in front
- 1:04:43of the Joneses. Yeah, yeah.
- 1:04:45It was only when he saw Ms. Parker, he was like, you know what?
- 1:04:47Let me go get some praise and worship to Ms. Parker.
- 1:04:50Oh, wow. I never thought about that, bro.
- 1:04:53That's interesting. You know, we didn't talk about Ezell. He also passed.
- 1:04:57Yeah. We didn't talk about Ezell, also a legendary character,
- 1:05:01Anthony Johnson. We got a lot of characters.
- 1:05:04Yeah. We have Gary Graywood making his appearance debut.
- 1:05:08Megan Good. Yeah.
- 1:05:11DJ Pooh getting knocked out. Dub C. Dub C. Jumping out the van with that Uzi.
- 1:05:19Renardo Ray. You want some, old man? Oh, man. No.
- 1:05:23Well, I don't know why you come down here messing with these people.
- 1:05:29Oh, man. Yeah. Yeah, bro. Just just yeah, just just a classic of a movie, man. It really is.
- 1:05:38Mr. Parker is past Ronnie Cox. Yes. Yeah.
- 1:05:42What's a small person? What's the.
- 1:05:46What was the old boy name that smoke? He was smoking the weed with and they
- 1:05:50put angel dust in it. What was what was the old boy name?
- 1:05:53Hector. Hector. The Mexican. Yeah. Hector. that might be his dialogue his,
- 1:06:01the reenactment of what happened might be one of the funniest things in any movie ever.
- 1:06:07Cause on that full set, I woke up the next day and Debo's chicken coop.
- 1:06:11Right. I was so high. My mama had to come get right.
- 1:06:15What? Right. Why does Debo have a chicken coop? Right.
- 1:06:22Debo got a chicken coop. Right. Right. In the middle of the hood. Yeah.
- 1:06:27Well, out West, it wouldn't surprise me. Yeah.
- 1:06:32But yeah yeah you're right so something
- 1:06:38i usually do in the beginning but i missed out on it domestic u.s and canada
- 1:06:43made 27 and a half million worldwide it only made 28.2 so overseas it only made
- 1:06:51less than a million dollars everywhere else in the world outside of the u.s and canada,
- 1:06:58I wonder though If that's due
- 1:07:02to marketing Oh yeah for sure You know what I'm saying Because they are,
- 1:07:08That's one of the reasons to get off topic But that's one of the reasons Why
- 1:07:12there was some nervousness About the success of Black Panther Because they didn't
- 1:07:19They didn't know how it would track With overseas markets.
- 1:07:24So, yeah, it's that trope that black movies don't do well overseas, et cetera, et cetera.
- 1:07:31And so they don't promote them. And Black Panther was the one that kind of came
- 1:07:35and knocked that off the map. So now they have no reason to not promote black movies anymore.
- 1:07:41Well, think about Star Wars with Finn, how they were taking him off the promotional.
- 1:07:49In China, he was basically non-existent. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah,
- 1:07:53yeah. they moved him from all of the promotional materials and stuff.
- 1:07:58China's been known to do that. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 1:08:02So, like we said, y'all, this is a classic.
- 1:08:05We don't need to even go into the 5, 3, 2, there is no rating.
- 1:08:12Friday is a classic. All-time classic. All-time great.
- 1:08:15And all three of them are great.
- 1:08:19I heard that they're trying to do another. I don't know how.
- 1:08:23It's been great. Oh, really?
- 1:08:25Yeah. I don't want to see it. Well, here's why I don't want to see it.
- 1:08:29Because it's going to be shot in a different format.
- 1:08:31It's not going to be... It's going to look like coming to America looked.
- 1:08:36Because to me, every movie now looks like a made-for-TV movie.
- 1:08:41Or it looks like it's made for streaming. It doesn't...
- 1:08:44I think you know what I mean. Yeah, yeah, yeah, for sure. It's just different now.
- 1:08:48And I don't like it. So, so, so Smokey and Day Day is going to be in this one, right?
- 1:08:55Yeah. Yeah, I don't. Yeah, I'm good.
- 1:08:58I mean, I'll probably watch it when it comes on cable or something like that,
- 1:09:01but I'm not, I'm not that I'm not spending any money to go see it. I'm good on it.
- 1:09:06I imagine the jokes probably just won't track anymore.
- 1:09:09I don't know what type of, oh, excuse me. I don't know what type of drama 350
- 1:09:15year old men can get into. Yeah.
- 1:09:18At that point and just like they would have to make
- 1:09:21it similar to their adults
- 1:09:24now they have children sort of like barbershop three
- 1:09:28when it was more about the kids getting into trouble then
- 1:09:31yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah because it's just
- 1:09:34i mean don't get me wrong there are still some guys our age that
- 1:09:36are immature but we could probably name about
- 1:09:3910 of them yeah yeah yeah but at the same time at
- 1:09:42some point it's just like most most people
- 1:09:45aren't behaving in that manner once
- 1:09:48you get to a certain age the silliness kind
- 1:09:52of just stops i got time yeah yeah yeah
- 1:09:55yeah yeah so so so anyway friday is a classic i think you agree oh yeah absolutely
- 1:10:01so that's our five on the black hand side movie review friday is in our classic
- 1:10:07status just like new jack city and with that But we're going to move into our closing monologue.
- 1:10:13My brother, take it away. Appreciate it.
- 1:10:16So we hear the word Semitic.
- 1:10:21Constantly in the news today, usually as a political label.
- 1:10:25But if we're being honest, we've let that word become a lot smaller than it actually is.
- 1:10:30If you want to know who the true Semitic people are, you have to look past the soundbites.
- 1:10:35It all started 5,000 years ago, the Levin and the Arabian Peninsula,
- 1:10:41in the Levin and the Arabian Peninsula.
- 1:10:44These were the proto-Semites. They branched out and built the world.
- 1:10:48We're talking about the Akkadians, the Venetians, who gave us our alphabet,
- 1:10:53the Hebrews, the Arabs, and the often forgot about Ethiopians.
- 1:11:00For sure. Now, here's where it gets interesting.
- 1:11:04Today, we use the term anti-Semite almost exclusively to describe hatred towards Jewish people.
- 1:11:11And that is a real and vital issue.
- 1:11:14If you look at the history, it's a bit of a linguistic trap.
- 1:11:19Think about the rhetoric we've heard from the president over the years,
- 1:11:22the comments about Ethiopia or the broad strokes used against people in the Middle East.
- 1:11:28If those people are, by definition, Semitic, doesn't that make him anti-Semitic?
- 1:11:36In the political world, the answer is usually no. But in the world of history
- 1:11:41and DNA, the answer is absolutely.
- 1:11:43So, my point is this. When we use these words as weapons, we're ignoring 5,000
- 1:11:49years of shared ancestry.
- 1:11:51We're talking about a cultural thread that ties the Middle East and Africa together
- 1:11:56in a way that modern politics just can't handle.
- 1:11:59Maybe if we understood that the word Semitic is a big ancient tent that includes
- 1:12:06all of these people, we'd stop letting politicians use it to keep us divided.
- 1:12:12All right, y'all. That concludes this episode of For The Fam Podcast, episode 25.
- 1:12:21Like we always say, give us a like, give us a share, drop a comment,
- 1:12:28all the things y'all already know how to do.
- 1:12:31You can find us on any major streaming platform and you can also find us on YouTube audio only.
- 1:12:40With that, I'm going to say thank you guys for tuning in. We appreciate it and
- 1:12:46we'll holler at you next time. Peace.
