- 0:00Speaker 1: The Mark Simone Show on R Well, hey, we'll get
- 0:06Speaker 1: to the mayor Old Race in just a second. Look,
- 0:08Speaker 1: get to ice tonight. Yankees game four tonight. It's a
- 0:15Speaker 1: little early tonight. It's gonna be a seven o'clock game
- 0:17Speaker 1: Yankee Stadium, and all this rain out there that's gonna
- 0:21Speaker 1: go away. It'll be dry tonight, so it should be good.
- 0:24Speaker 1: We're hoping it look very, very bad for the Yankees.
- 0:27Speaker 1: Aaron Judge, that home run, it turned it around. Let's
- 0:30Speaker 1: see if that momentum continues. Let's just listen to it
- 0:33Speaker 1: one more time. Yankees behind men on bass. Aaron Judge
- 0:40Speaker 1: comes to bat pitch. It's a dry come on hoop
- 0:45Speaker 1: experiences moment. All right, a little more of that tonight
- 0:59Speaker 1: and then we're all said. The mayoral race, Well, actually
- 1:03Speaker 1: a pretty interesting morning because right down over there, two
- 1:08Speaker 1: blocks that way is the New York Athletic Club fifty
- 1:12Speaker 1: ninth and seventh, one of the most beautiful, maybe the
- 1:14Speaker 1: most beautiful, and maybe the best private club in New
- 1:19Speaker 1: York City. It's one hundred and something years old. But
- 1:23Speaker 1: they have great events there too, and today was the
- 1:25Speaker 1: first event where all three mayoral candidates were there. It
- 1:29Speaker 1: was put on by cranes, and they didn't debate. They
- 1:33Speaker 1: weren't together, but they each spoke separately. It's a crowd
- 1:36Speaker 1: of top business people. Mamdanni addressed the crowd, then Cuomo
- 1:41Speaker 1: and then Curtis Sliwa. Mamdanni unveiled an economic plan, no
- 1:50Speaker 1: point even going through it, Mam Donni. Like most socialists,
- 1:54Speaker 1: he's what they call They used to call them limousine liberals,
- 1:57Speaker 1: but this is something different. They call these champagne socialists.
- 2:00Speaker 1: A very wealthy guy, and what they do is they
- 2:05Speaker 1: kind of tone it down. Now you got all the
- 2:07Speaker 1: top business people in New York, so he tones down
- 2:09Speaker 1: the attacks the rich kind of stuff, and he talks
- 2:12Speaker 1: about affordability and his economic calculator, which looks ridiculous. So
- 2:16Speaker 1: he spoke. Curtis gets up and I imagine talked mostly
- 2:21Speaker 1: about crime, because crime's the key to everything. You get
- 2:25Speaker 1: rid of the crime, everything comes back, people, business, tourists, money, everything.
- 2:30Speaker 1: It just it's like that, would you say that rising
- 2:34Speaker 1: tide that lifts all the boats? Cuomo, I imagine got
- 2:38Speaker 1: up and talked very slowly like he always does. So
- 2:48Speaker 1: here's the other thing. People like Mom Donnie, these Champagne socialists,
- 2:53Speaker 1: or these people on the left, or the Bernie Sanders
- 2:56Speaker 1: or the just all these people, even though shots they're yelling,
- 2:59Speaker 1: tax the rich, tax the rich, billionaires, tax the rich.
- 3:04Speaker 1: It's not about helping the poor. That's why they never praise.
- 3:06Speaker 1: They never put it that way. It's not about helping
- 3:09Speaker 1: the poor. It's about getting the rich, taxing the rich.
- 3:11Speaker 1: They have a hatred for billionaires, a hatred for the
- 3:14Speaker 1: rich deep down. It's like a real it's that actual
- 3:17Speaker 1: hatred because when they look at those wealthy people that
- 3:21Speaker 1: created these empires, it reminds them of everything they don't
- 3:25Speaker 1: like about America. You know, a lot of these big
- 3:28Speaker 1: zillionaire guys that created stuff, they're the ultimate American story.
- 3:34Speaker 1: Most of them started out with very little. Many of
- 3:38Speaker 1: them come from poverty. Many of them, you know, started
- 3:40Speaker 1: out with very little education. You know, look at all
- 3:42Speaker 1: these top guys, Deep Jobs, Bill Gates, Bait, they're all
- 3:45Speaker 1: college dropouts. They all started the business in their garage
- 3:49Speaker 1: with nothing and turn it into unbelievable empires. They're all
- 3:53Speaker 1: worth a couple hundred billions. So this is the ultimate
- 3:55Speaker 1: American story. That's why they hate these people so much.
- 3:58Speaker 1: You'll never hear mention anything about it up in the porch.
- 4:00Speaker 1: Just tax the rich, get the rich. They'll never go
- 4:04Speaker 1: to any details about anything. And when they do they're
- 4:07Speaker 1: kind of silly, like free rent, free buses, and as
- 4:12Speaker 1: everybody keeps pointing out, Mom, Donnie would have absolutely no
- 4:15Speaker 1: authority to make the buses free or anything. As the
- 4:17Speaker 1: subways or Cuomo has been running around, he's getting hit
- 4:22Speaker 1: hard by Curtis. Curtis running commercials all over the place
- 4:25Speaker 1: about how Cuomo caused the crime wave with his no bail,
- 4:28Speaker 1: no jail. So Cuomo is going on these shows trying
- 4:31Speaker 1: to defend it. I think this is a good day
- 4:34Speaker 1: in New York yesterday. He's trying to explain why he
- 4:35Speaker 1: did this no bail, no jail, cashless bail. Many other
- 4:40Speaker 1: states did it. The principle is very sound. If you
- 4:44Speaker 1: have not been found guilty of anything, you shouldn't be
- 4:47Speaker 1: put in prison, and you shouldn't be sent to rikers
- 4:50Speaker 1: just because you don't have the money to make bail.
- 4:53Speaker 1: Well you probably should if you're a career criminal and
- 4:57Speaker 1: you got twenty three priors, as many other states did it. Yeah,
- 5:01Speaker 1: there were other states that did it. Every one of
- 5:03Speaker 1: them got a massive crime wave as a result. Anytime
- 5:07Speaker 1: you do it, you get a massive crime wave. And
- 5:09Speaker 1: Cuomo did it here and it caused this big crime wave.
- 5:13Speaker 1: Now Curtis got a big endorsement yesterday Rudy Giuliani. Now Giuliani,
- 5:19Speaker 1: of course, in recent years, has a controversy attached to
- 5:22Speaker 1: him with some people, but forget about that. He is,
- 5:26Speaker 1: without question, the absolute world expert on how to run
- 5:32Speaker 1: New York City. There's no greater expert on earth on
- 5:35Speaker 1: how to be the mayor of New York City than
- 5:37Speaker 1: Rudy Giuliani. And he said yesterday he one hundred percent
- 5:41Speaker 1: endorses Curtis Sliwa. He said, Curtis has everything you need
- 5:45Speaker 1: to be Mary mayor. Curtis has everything he could expect.
- 5:50Speaker 1: He went after Cuomo. He said, Cuomo's a total disgrace.
- 5:54Speaker 1: He resigned in disgrace, and he pointed out Cuomoa Rent
- 5:58Speaker 1: has run a terrible campaign, lost to a thirty three
- 6:02Speaker 1: year old. It's actually, if you hate this, Mam Donnie,
- 6:04Speaker 1: blame Cuomo. Cuomo was so pathetic in those debates in
- 6:08Speaker 1: the primary. That's how Mam Donnie got from zero to
- 6:11Speaker 1: forty five points. Just by slapping Cuomo around. But Giuliani big,
- 6:17Speaker 1: big endorsement for Curtis. You know. Also here's the Connecticut governor,
- 6:23Speaker 1: a Democrat, Lowell Wiker, who has really condemned Mom Donnie.
- 6:29Speaker 1: You know, you gotta remember Connecticut has all these suburbs
- 6:33Speaker 1: that are close to New York. And the Connecticut governor
- 6:36Speaker 1: warns that Wall Street is at risk. He really goes
- 6:39Speaker 1: after Mom Donnie and he said, you know, a guy
- 6:40Speaker 1: like Mam Donnie does not understand the importance of Wall Street.
- 6:44Speaker 1: New York City's the financial capital of the world. He
- 6:47Speaker 1: doesn't think, Mam Donnie for a second understands how vital
- 6:50Speaker 1: that is to the economy of New York to all
- 6:53Speaker 1: the things you claim you want to help. It can
- 6:55Speaker 1: only be helped by the revenue coming in from Wall Street.
- 6:58Speaker 1: And he points out that Walston Street can leave. You know,
- 7:01Speaker 1: Texas already has a huge stock exchange. Other states are
- 7:05Speaker 1: opening massive stock exchanges. You know, we think, well, New
- 7:08Speaker 1: York Stock Exchange is a Nasdaq one of them. They
- 7:10Speaker 1: can't leave. Yeah, they can leave, they really can. And
- 7:13Speaker 1: that's what the Connecticut Governor, Ned Lamont, a Democrat, is
- 7:17Speaker 1: warning everybody about. He also points out the hedge fund
- 7:21Speaker 1: industry is very important. And you know right there in Greenwich, Connecticut,
- 7:25Speaker 1: you got Ray Dallio. Bridgewater, you got Steve Cohen's Er
- 7:29Speaker 1: Point seventy two. And Greenwich, Connecticut, which is the closest
- 7:33Speaker 1: suburb that's where a lot of these Wall Street guys live.
- 7:35Speaker 1: Greenwich has a mayor, Fred Camillo. This guy's probably the
- 7:39Speaker 1: best mayor of any suburban town around. He's great, He's
- 7:43Speaker 1: endorsed Curtis, He's I've talked to him about it. He
- 7:46Speaker 1: very much backs Curtis Leewa for mayor. And one reason
- 7:49Speaker 1: is he does want to lose. You know, these big,
- 7:52Speaker 1: big CEOs Wall Street. If they move to another state,
- 7:56Speaker 1: they leave their home too, which in a lot of
- 7:59Speaker 1: cases is great Connecticut. And by the way, that Fred
- 8:01Speaker 1: Camillo excellent mayor. He's up for reelection. Make sure you
- 8:04Speaker 1: vote for him. You'll want to re elect him. Also,
- 8:09Speaker 1: Long Island, Bruce Blakeman, you got the best county executive.
- 8:13Speaker 1: Make sure you'll reelect him in November. You got a
- 8:15Speaker 1: great district attorney in Long Island and Donnelly, make sure
- 8:20Speaker 1: you vote for her. Hey. Also, there's a big race
- 8:23Speaker 1: here in New York City in November. Besides mayor, it's
- 8:26Speaker 1: for district attorney. This Alvin Bragg, who lets all the
- 8:29Speaker 1: criminals out, is up for reelection. You can knock him
- 8:33Speaker 1: out of office in November. The opponent is Maud Merin.
- 8:38Speaker 1: She's excellent. She's a Republican. And if you're a Democrat,
- 8:42Speaker 1: and he said, I can't vote for republic but she's
- 8:45Speaker 1: actually been a Democrat most of her life. He really
- 8:47Speaker 1: is kind of a Democrat. But she's tough on crime.
- 8:49Speaker 1: She'd be a much better district attorney than Alvin Bragg. Well,
- 8:52Speaker 1: anybody would, but she especially. So vote for Maud Marin
- 8:57Speaker 1: in November. But the mayor world debate is a week
- 9:01Speaker 1: from tomorrow. It's next Thursday night. Curtis has been running
- 9:05Speaker 1: commercials all over the place, even in the Yankee game
- 9:08Speaker 1: last night, great commercial against Cuomo. The whole thing. If
- 9:15Speaker 1: it's gonna if there's gonna be a big shift in
- 9:17Speaker 1: the race, it'll come from next Thursday Night's debate. Next Thursday.
- 9:21Speaker 1: It'll be on Channel four, but you'll see it all
- 9:23Speaker 1: over the place. Cuomo is very, very very weak in debates.
- 9:28Speaker 1: Mam Donnie's a great debater. He's very good in these debates.
- 9:30Speaker 1: Whatever you think of he can debate. Curtis is a
- 9:33Speaker 1: professional debater for thirty five years. So you're gonna have
- 9:37Speaker 1: Mam Donnie and Curtis two great debaters, and Cuomo talking
- 9:42Speaker 1: very slow like he talks, So he's probably gonna get
- 9:46Speaker 1: wiped out in that debate. He's gonna look very bad there. Hey,
- 9:50Speaker 1: you remember that Greta what's her name, Greta Thunberg, that Lily.
- 9:55Speaker 1: She was like the fourteen year old lecturing us about
- 9:57Speaker 1: climate change. Awful person, a horrible, horrible person. So in
- 10:03Speaker 1: recent years the climate change thing kind of fizzled out.
- 10:08Speaker 1: Now she's anti Israel, really sounds very antisemitic at times,
- 10:12Speaker 1: so she's always going after Israel. She's, you know, she's
- 10:16Speaker 1: like the kid in Two and a half Men, you know,
- 10:17Speaker 1: cute when they're twelve, and you look at her now
- 10:20Speaker 1: she's like twenty six, not so cute anymore, and she's
- 10:23Speaker 1: going after Israel. By she's showing a picture of a
- 10:27Speaker 1: Palestinian who looks totally emaciated. Look what they did to
- 10:30Speaker 1: Look what Israel did to this Palestinian. Look how he's
- 10:33Speaker 1: starving to death. Look how emaciated. He is a bones
- 10:37Speaker 1: pushing through his sk Look how awfully looks she's putting
- 10:39Speaker 1: this picture all over the place. Well, it turns out
- 10:43Speaker 1: the picture is of an Israeli hostage that was being
- 10:45Speaker 1: held by Hamas a total liar, This screta thunberg. Even
- 10:51Speaker 1: the left I think is kind of done with her.
- 10:54Speaker 1: I think they've had it with her. She's become kind
- 10:56Speaker 1: of useless to them. Hey, there's a great video. This
- 11:00Speaker 1: is PBS. Now if you say, well, why do we
- 11:02Speaker 1: have to defund PBS? They were begging to be defunded.
- 11:07Speaker 1: They've been asking to be defunded, as Joe Peshi said
- 11:10Speaker 1: in Casino, they were just begging to be made an
- 11:13Speaker 1: example of. So they've been running the most left wing, slanted,
- 11:17Speaker 1: biased news for decades. It's PBS. You're supposed to stay neutral,
- 11:23Speaker 1: you're supposed to do balanced news, but it's left wing partisan. Now,
- 11:27Speaker 1: he's a funny clip that it's up on my Twitter
- 11:30Speaker 1: if you want to see it. This is thirty five
- 11:32Speaker 1: years ago. It's a PBS news show and they're reporting
- 11:36Speaker 1: that because of climate change, we're going to be wiped out.
- 11:39Speaker 1: And they predicted that by twenty twenty five, there would
- 11:44Speaker 1: be no forests left. We have no more forests anywhere
- 11:47Speaker 1: on the earth, and we'd all be underwater. In New
- 11:51Speaker 1: York and Florida, everything would be underwater. The sea level
- 11:53Speaker 1: would rise up and wipe us out by twenty twenty five.
- 11:58Speaker 1: Let me just check. Hang on, let me look out
- 12:00Speaker 1: the window. No, no water, No water out there in
- 12:04Speaker 1: fifty sixth Street. Let's check the other side. Could you
- 12:06Speaker 1: look out down there fifty fifth Street. Just check, make
- 12:09Speaker 1: sure there's no water. And you know, I was in
- 12:13Speaker 1: Connecticut the other day. I saw a forest. Apparently there
- 12:16Speaker 1: still are some forests left. So that PBS reporting all
- 12:20Speaker 1: kinds of crap, and that's why, that's why they get defunded.
- 12:26Speaker 1: Oh hey, that Hunter corruption stuff. The Biden family, the
- 12:30Speaker 1: corruption especially in the Ukraine. Hunter Biden, the brothers James.
- 12:35Speaker 1: So the CIA, Biden went over there supposedly as vice president,
- 12:41Speaker 1: supposedly to meet with leaders there to discuss issues. The
- 12:44Speaker 1: CIA report came, this is our intelligence agency CIA. There
- 12:49Speaker 1: was no meetings of anything of substance. Apparently was over there,
- 12:52Speaker 1: and the CIA said, this looks like total corruption. Hunter's
- 12:56Speaker 1: getting paid a fortune by this Barisma. The brothers are
- 12:59Speaker 1: getting there's all kinds of deals going on. They're doing
- 13:02Speaker 1: all kinds of corrupt things over there. And then word
- 13:05Speaker 1: came from Vice President Biden to bury that report. Do
- 13:10Speaker 1: not distribute that report, do not put it in the briefing.
- 13:14Speaker 1: Kill the report. They listen to them, and they did it. Now,
- 13:19Speaker 1: if you look into this, there's other stuff. We didn't
- 13:21Speaker 1: even know about this. We have an embassy, of course,
- 13:23Speaker 1: over there in the Ukraine. Looks like Hunter was trying
- 13:26Speaker 1: to make some sleazy land deal to sell off the land.
- 13:30Speaker 1: The US embassy has a lot of land around. Who's
- 13:32Speaker 1: trying to sell the land to some corrupt company. All
- 13:35Speaker 1: kinds of stuff in there. You're saying, I didn't hear
- 13:38Speaker 1: about this, Yeah, it's because you read the New York Times.
- 13:41Speaker 1: It's because you watch MSNBC. They're not reporting it, they're
- 13:44Speaker 1: covering it up. Hey, speaking of MSNBC, people think President
- 13:47Speaker 1: Trump will make a lot of money off them because
- 13:50Speaker 1: they've been doing you know, they're always doing these fake stories,
- 13:53Speaker 1: fake news. The fake news anchor Nicole Wallace, the South
- 13:58Speaker 1: Carolina judge who's home was on fire and burned up
- 14:02Speaker 1: her home, was running the story that it was arson,
- 14:05Speaker 1: that the Trump administration did it. It was a Trump
- 14:08Speaker 1: administration saying things about her that caused an arsonist to
- 14:13Speaker 1: burn her home down. And well turns out none of
- 14:16Speaker 1: this is true. The police said she had a faulty
- 14:18Speaker 1: toaster that caught on fire. There was no arson, but
- 14:22Speaker 1: it was total fake news. They're expecting now the Trump
- 14:25Speaker 1: administration to go after them. But Trump himself could be
- 14:30Speaker 1: filing a massive lawsuit. He's made a lot of money
- 14:32Speaker 1: sixteen million from Stephanopolis and ABC thirty million from sixteen minutes.
- 14:38Speaker 1: This could be another major victory. A lot of money
- 14:42Speaker 1: could be And remember MSNBC no longer part of NBC.
- 14:46Speaker 1: They've been thrown out. They don't have a lot of money.
- 14:49Speaker 1: You could actually bankrupt this MSNBC. Now, hey, we'll take
- 14:53Speaker 1: some calls. Next eight hundred three to two to one
- 14:56Speaker 1: zero seven to ten is the number. Eight hundred e
- 15:00Speaker 1: two one zero seven ten
