- 1:31Speaker 1: Let's go, let's go. It's a story you need to
- 1:34Speaker 1: hear to believe. Then grab your popcorn because there is more.
- 1:41Speaker 1: I'm I didn't think this was gonna be my my
- 1:45Speaker 1: talk for the popcorn moment, but this is a a
- 1:48Speaker 1: good one. You may have heard by now that there
- 1:54Speaker 1: was a member of the Chicago Bulls.
- 2:00Speaker 2: Who was waived, Jade and Ivy.
- 2:05Speaker 1: I'm not an expert on these things, nor am I
- 2:08Speaker 1: an expert on him. Jade and Ivy was waived from
- 2:14Speaker 1: the team because of quote conduct detrimental to the team.
- 2:19Speaker 1: He had done some Instagram posts and what he was
- 2:25Speaker 1: discussing was Gay Pride Month.
- 2:31Speaker 2: All our preaching is about Jesus Christ, and they waved
- 2:34Speaker 2: me right, they say, they say, I'm crazy, right, I'm psycho.
- 2:42Speaker 2: I don't that, don't that, don't that don't add up?
- 2:46Speaker 2: That's not had mess right.
- 2:48Speaker 1: So he's making these videos about being waived, talking about
- 2:53Speaker 1: his religion and a discussion that What he said.
- 3:01Speaker 2: Was they proclaim Pride Month in the NBA. They proclaim it.
- 3:04Speaker 1: They show it to the world, they say, come join
- 3:06Speaker 1: us for Pride, for Pride Month, to celebrate unrighteousness.
- 3:09Speaker 2: They proclaim it.
- 3:10Speaker 1: They proclaim it on the billboards, they proclaim it in
- 3:13Speaker 1: the streets unrighteousness. So how is it that one can't
- 3:16Speaker 1: speak righteousness? How are they to say that this man
- 3:19Speaker 1: is crazy? Coach Donovan saying everybody comes with their own
- 3:27Speaker 1: personal experiences, but one is we've got to all be professional.
- 3:32Speaker 1: I think there's got to be a high level of
- 3:33Speaker 1: respect for one another and we've got to help each
- 3:36Speaker 1: other and then be accountable to those standards.
- 3:39Speaker 2: Well, for the NBA, you guys allow a lot of crap.
- 3:44Speaker 1: Was it your standard to go after the former GM
- 3:48Speaker 1: Daryl Morey for standing.
- 3:49Speaker 2: Up for the Hong Kongers.
- 3:52Speaker 1: He stood up for people who are being abused by
- 3:54Speaker 1: the Communist Chinese Party, and the NBA said, oh, we
- 3:58Speaker 1: can't have that, and you let others in the NBA
- 4:03Speaker 1: like Lebron James, who knows nothing of the subject, to
- 4:06Speaker 1: go after him.
- 4:08Speaker 2: Darryl Moray needed to be educated on the subject.
- 4:11Speaker 1: You wanted that sweet, sweet Chinese cash, and you were
- 4:14Speaker 1: willing to do anything to ensure that it still flowed.
- 4:19Speaker 1: You want to talk about who's decent, ur who's actually righteous?
- 4:27Speaker 2: Guy could be opposed to Pride Month?
- 4:30Speaker 1: Turns out that the NBA is all about well, let
- 4:34Speaker 1: the players be the players.
- 4:35Speaker 2: But no, not really. There is nothing wrong.
- 4:42Speaker 1: With stating, as I have on this show that Pride
- 4:47Speaker 1: Month has nothing to do with being gay. It is
- 4:49Speaker 1: all a political movement, as the flag has become a
- 4:51Speaker 1: political symbol and it's a progressive political symbol. It has
- 4:56Speaker 1: nothing to do with the original rainbow flag. It has
- 4:59Speaker 1: nothing to do with the f It's a stonewall zero.
- 5:02Speaker 1: It's a political movement and a shield used by people
- 5:05Speaker 1: who don't want to have to defend their position and
- 5:07Speaker 1: want to claim that somehow they're marginalized.
- 5:10Speaker 2: You're not.
- 5:11Speaker 1: I'll say it again, you're not. I don't know who
- 5:15Speaker 1: you think you're kidding here. The guy who's marginalized seems
- 5:19Speaker 1: to be Jaden Ivy. Now, I don't know contracts in
- 5:24Speaker 1: the NBA and.
- 5:26Speaker 2: What things say and do not say.
- 5:32Speaker 1: I'm not sure if there are certain rules and regulations
- 5:38Speaker 1: to what it is that they discuss, whether or not
- 5:43Speaker 1: a conversation about religion in the public eye like this
- 5:49Speaker 1: is allowed or not, or politics or anything else. I
- 5:52Speaker 1: don't have the details of the contract. But if he
- 5:59Speaker 1: opposed Pride month, but he always said please and thank you.
- 6:05Speaker 1: He never once attacked anybody. He was always said good morning.
- 6:09Speaker 1: And he didn't go about paying people less or firing
- 6:13Speaker 1: anybody because of their religion or because of their sexuality or this.
- 6:16Speaker 2: What would it matter.
- 6:19Speaker 1: I was told you can't tell these people just to
- 6:22Speaker 1: shut up and dribble, And the NBA just said, shut
- 6:25Speaker 1: up and dribble, conduct detrimental. Okay, Okay, So now we're
- 6:31Speaker 1: making a different argument that the league can indeed protect itself.
- 6:37Speaker 1: Can we now note what the league protects itself from.
- 6:40Speaker 1: Either you believe in the free speech or you don't.
- 6:43Speaker 1: So what you're saying is you don't, and that is
- 6:45Speaker 1: absolutely fine. You as a league have a right to
- 6:47Speaker 1: do that. Employers have a right to do that. And
- 6:49Speaker 1: now we go to the part too. You no longer
- 6:53Speaker 1: get to tell us that you can't say shut up
- 6:56Speaker 1: and dribble. You said it, So it's game on for
- 7:00Speaker 1: shut up and dribble, for Lebron, for Steve Kerr and
- 7:04Speaker 1: his anti gun zelotry.
- 7:05Speaker 2: Now he's got personal reasons.
- 7:07Speaker 1: I've got personal reasons too, and it doesn't make his
- 7:10Speaker 1: correct at all. He's wrong, Popovich, you were always wrong,
- 7:15Speaker 1: your gross progressivism.
- 7:18Speaker 2: Look at me.
- 7:19Speaker 1: I'm a former coach. I get to say these things
- 7:21Speaker 1: always wrong, horrifyingly, So shut up and dribble, Megan Rupino,
- 7:30Speaker 1: shut up and play. Oh you're not on the team anymore.
- 7:33Speaker 1: Just shut up then, No, no, no, these are the rules.
- 7:35Speaker 1: I didn't set them. I'm the guy who said you
- 7:38Speaker 1: don't say shut up and dribble. People are allowed to talk.
- 7:41Speaker 1: But the NBA just said no. So that's tough. Now,
- 7:48Speaker 1: be very very quiet, go play your little game and
- 7:52Speaker 1: entertain me.
- 7:54Speaker 2: Because the NBA said that's what you should do. Don't
- 7:58Speaker 2: get mad at me, get mad at the NBA.
