- 0:00Speaker 1: An illegal alien from Guatemala charged with raping a child
- 0:03Speaker 1: in Massachusetts. An MS thirteen gang member from Al Salvador
- 0:07Speaker 1: accused of murdering a Texas man of Venezuelan charged with
- 0:11Speaker 1: filming and selling child pornography in Michigan. These are just
- 0:15Speaker 1: some of the heinous migrant criminals caught because of President
- 0:19Speaker 1: Donald J. Trump's leadership. I'm Christy nom the United States
- 0:23Speaker 1: Secretary of Homeland Security. Under President Trump, attempted illegal border
- 0:28Speaker 1: crossings are at the lowest levels ever recorded, and over
- 0:31Speaker 1: one hundred thousand illegal aliens have been arrested. If you
- 0:35Speaker 1: are here illegally, your next you will be fined nearly
- 0:39Speaker 1: one thousand dollars a day, imprisoned, and deported. You will
- 0:43Speaker 1: never return. But if you register using our CBP home
- 0:46Speaker 1: app and leave now, you could be allowed to return legally.
- 0:50Speaker 1: Do what's right. Leave now. Under President Trump, America's laws,
- 0:55Speaker 1: border and families will be protected.
- 0:57Speaker 2: Sponsored by the United States Department of Homeland Security.
- 1:00Speaker 3: I want to shift a little bit because we live
- 1:02Speaker 3: in the world. Like you said, we can shape our narrative.
- 1:04Speaker 3: We can control some of the media that we put out.
- 1:08Speaker 3: I know you have a production company, Yeah, and we
- 1:11Speaker 3: live in the world where content is king. And you
- 1:12Speaker 3: did something very legendary, dow one thing most people even
- 1:15Speaker 3: know about when you started acquiring content during the so
- 1:19Speaker 3: called Brightest strike that you know, we just came out of.
- 1:22Speaker 4: Can you talk about the legendary move that you made.
- 1:26Speaker 5: Yeah, so so Doctor King and I and I love
- 1:28Speaker 5: my sister to death because she we we ride together
- 1:30Speaker 5: on all these deals and kind of like, how y'all
- 1:32Speaker 5: do it? You know, y'all show up the tag team.
- 1:34Speaker 5: And so Doctor King and I went and bought uh
- 1:36Speaker 5: P three Media. And P three Media is another we
- 1:40Speaker 5: own brand. You know, we take black investor dollars and
- 1:43Speaker 5: we go buy a white production company.
- 1:44Speaker 6: We stay on brand. This particular brand was there, you
- 1:50Speaker 6: go so.
- 1:53Speaker 5: Right, So we went and bought it because one we realized,
- 1:56Speaker 5: I mean, what are you really buying?
- 1:57Speaker 6: Right?
- 1:58Speaker 5: You want to buy the privilege, the access that comes
- 2:01Speaker 5: in Hollywood for those companies that we don't normally have.
- 2:03Speaker 6: Right.
- 2:04Speaker 5: So, this was a company that had the number one
- 2:06Speaker 5: show on Netflix the year before. This is a company
- 2:09Speaker 5: that created the show Suits, which you know, Suits is
- 2:12Speaker 5: not what the most streams show in the history of
- 2:14Speaker 5: streaming at this point, So you know, Gene Klein, who
- 2:17Speaker 5: created Suits, is now our content director. So we went
- 2:20Speaker 5: and bought the best of the best team to say,
- 2:22Speaker 5: all right, we need a vehicle by which we can
- 2:25Speaker 5: promote the stories of our community and get the access.
- 2:29Speaker 6: And the key for us was.
- 2:31Speaker 5: This company was being incubated inside of Disney. So what
- 2:35Speaker 5: it did for us immediately is when you acquired this company,
- 2:38Speaker 5: now we got real estate inside of Disney on Burbank
- 2:40Speaker 5: in LA right there next to Marvel, across the hall
- 2:43Speaker 5: from Pixar.
- 2:44Speaker 6: You know what I'm saying.
- 2:45Speaker 5: So that is the access we wanted to create so
- 2:48Speaker 5: that we can get past where we think Hollywood is broken.
- 2:51Speaker 6: Hollywoods broken right now, if you're a content.
- 2:53Speaker 5: Creator and you've got the greatest idea of the greatest story,
- 2:56Speaker 5: by the time you get in front of the right people,
- 2:59Speaker 5: somebody and some middleman, some agent has Nicolin dimes, you
- 3:02Speaker 5: do we only probably got five or ten percent left
- 3:04Speaker 5: of your IP because you had to give away everything
- 3:06Speaker 5: just to get in front of somebody. Right, we're cutting
- 3:09Speaker 5: through all of that. We have access directly to the buyers.
- 3:12Speaker 5: Disney has a first look, so Disney gets to take
- 3:15Speaker 5: a look at it. So if your content comes to us,
- 3:17Speaker 5: we can get it to Disney. First, Netflix is on deck,
- 3:20Speaker 5: Second HBO Showtime. We cut out all the middle people
- 3:23Speaker 5: and just bring us to content so we can preserve
- 3:26Speaker 5: those economics to make it so black creatives can create
- 3:30Speaker 5: more wealth without having to go through all the middle people.
- 3:33Speaker 4: Can I just do a follow up real quick?
- 3:34Speaker 6: Yeah?
- 3:35Speaker 4: Just do so your acquire suits, right, you guys own it.
- 3:39Speaker 3: This is a show that was on from two thousand
- 3:42Speaker 3: and nine to I believe twenty nineteen. As you start
- 3:45Speaker 3: to see it climb in its viewership, what do you like?
- 3:47Speaker 3: What's the how do you guys feeling as you're seeing
- 3:49Speaker 3: this happen?
- 3:51Speaker 6: Well, you know, it was funny.
- 3:52Speaker 5: I talked to Gen gen Klin, who works as Gen
- 3:55Speaker 5: Now we're having this conversation in Miami a couple of
- 3:57Speaker 5: weeks ago. And you know, for the people that created
- 4:01Speaker 5: it originally, they thought it was iconic then, and I
- 4:04Speaker 5: think now the big shock is people don't even know
- 4:06Speaker 5: how old this show is.
- 4:07Speaker 6: People watch it on Netflix and.
- 4:09Speaker 5: The only reason people start figuring out how old it
- 4:11Speaker 5: is when they pull out the blackberries.
- 4:12Speaker 6: They're like, oh damn, what does a BlackBerry? You know?
- 4:14Speaker 5: Until you see don't use a cell phone from two
- 4:16Speaker 5: thousand and seven. You know, people don't know, so it's
- 4:19Speaker 5: been exciting. It's been great for us because you know,
- 4:22Speaker 5: we're able to tell people. Look, the talent they created,
- 4:25Speaker 5: this iconic show is right here and now they're at
- 4:28Speaker 5: you know, a company with black leadership and the world
- 4:32Speaker 5: is wide open right now. Man, like we sent. I
- 4:35Speaker 5: tell content creators all the time if you have good ideas,
- 4:38Speaker 5: we're doing really good.
- 4:40Speaker 3: This episode is brought to you by P and C Bank.

- 6:30Speaker 1: An illegal alien from Guatemala charged with raping a child
- 6:34Speaker 1: in Massachusetts. An MS thirteen gang member from Al Salvador
- 6:38Speaker 1: accused of murdering a Texas man of Venezuelan charged with
- 6:42Speaker 1: filming and selling child pornography in Michigan. These are just

- 6:50Speaker 1: Donald J. Trump's leadership. I'm Christine nom the United States

- 6:59Speaker 1: crossings are at the lowest levels ever recorded, and over
- 7:02Speaker 1: one hundred thousand illegal aliens.
- 7:04Speaker 5: Have been arrested.
- 7:05Speaker 1: If you are here illegally, your next you will be
- 7:09Speaker 1: fine nearly one thousand dollars a day, imprisoned and deported.
- 7:13Speaker 1: You will never return. But if you register using our

- 7:19Speaker 1: to return legally. Do what's right. Leave now. Under President
- 7:24Speaker 1: Trump America's laws, border and families will be protected.
- 7:28Speaker 2: Sponsored by the United States Department of Homeland Security.
- 7:31Speaker 6: Great right now.
- 7:31Speaker 5: If you look at the because of the strike, we've
- 7:33Speaker 5: also leaned in there. We always take a chaos and
- 7:36Speaker 5: create an opportunity. Because of the strike, there's no new content,
- 7:40Speaker 5: so we've really dug into getting great stories that we
- 7:43Speaker 5: can turn into docu saries and I'm gonna put one
- 7:45Speaker 5: on here at EYL that y'all can check out, so
- 7:47Speaker 5: y'all get to hear it here first, even though we
- 7:48Speaker 5: got a Vanity Fair article coming out on the next
- 7:50Speaker 5: couple weeks.
- 7:52Speaker 6: We just finished.
- 7:53Speaker 5: We just finished the first unscripted television show filmed at
- 7:58Speaker 5: the White House around the release of American hostages around
- 8:02Speaker 5: the world, and most of them are people of color.
- 8:05Speaker 6: So we took you take.
- 8:07Speaker 5: What happened with Brittany Grinder, and you say, you know,
- 8:09Speaker 5: for the people that wanted Brittany out, you didn't understand
- 8:12Speaker 5: why it was taking so long. You didn't understand why
- 8:14Speaker 5: people were meeting with her spouse. And then when she
- 8:17Speaker 5: did get out, the other side was like, oh, you
- 8:19Speaker 5: did too much. You traded her for Satan. Now it's
- 8:21Speaker 5: all that and so that whole dynamic we felt the
- 8:25Speaker 5: American people needed to understand. So we just finished the
- 8:29Speaker 5: show called The Return that's going to come out this winner,
- 8:32Speaker 5: where we go into the Venezuelan prisons to record behind
- 8:35Speaker 5: the scenes, to record at the White House, behind the scenes,
- 8:38Speaker 5: to record their families, behind the scenes, to see the
- 8:41Speaker 5: release of people of color from foreign prisons that people
- 8:44Speaker 5: don't know about. This is the power of telling a
- 8:47Speaker 5: narrative because there's black and brown people in foreign prisons
- 8:50Speaker 5: right now who never bounce the ball, who have no
- 8:52Speaker 5: fame or notoriety, that the world needs to know about
- 8:56Speaker 5: because their freedom is it should be just as paramount
- 8:58Speaker 5: as anybody else. These are the stories that I think
- 9:01Speaker 5: doctor King and I know need to be told, and
- 9:04Speaker 5: we think it can have a profound impact on the
- 9:07Speaker 5: conversation around black lives in a holistic sense, because you know,
- 9:10Speaker 5: who's worthy of coming home is a serious conversation, and
- 9:13Speaker 5: I think the American people need to understand what goes
- 9:15Speaker 5: into that.
- 9:17Speaker 7: In the media space, we've seen a dramatic fall of
- 9:19Speaker 7: Netflix last year. Spotify is going through issues. Podcasts are
- 9:23Speaker 7: in trouble, Disney's in trouble. What's broken in American media?
- 9:28Speaker 7: From a business model perspective, I'm interested to hear it.
- 9:31Speaker 7: Hear Take Suits is one of my favorite shows all time.
- 9:34Speaker 7: But what do you see in a business model that's
- 9:36Speaker 7: broken that you feel you can fix And what's your
- 9:41Speaker 7: outlook on media companies in the publicly trading market, like
- 9:44Speaker 7: over the next five or six years.
- 9:46Speaker 5: You know, in my mind, man, we're looking at the
- 9:50Speaker 5: negotiated death of Cable. That's what you really are seeing.
- 9:53Speaker 5: They're negotiating the end of Cable because at the end
- 9:56Speaker 5: of the day, these streaming services, obviously Netflix is.
- 10:00Speaker 6: Okay, but the rest of them are second win.
- 10:02Speaker 5: And when they're negotiating with actors and they're negotiating with writers,
- 10:06Speaker 5: and they know that they want a percentage of the revenue.
- 10:09Speaker 5: As an impossible conversation if you're not making money to
- 10:12Speaker 5: share with somebody a negative, right, But the problem is,
- 10:16Speaker 5: if you're Disney, theoretically, why do you want people to
- 10:20Speaker 5: have to go through Charter, are At and T to
- 10:23Speaker 5: get to you when you can sell your apps straight up.
- 10:26Speaker 5: So right now, and you saw this happen in the Midwest,
- 10:29Speaker 5: Disney jumped off of Charter. They jumped off for two
- 10:32Speaker 5: months just to prove a point, and so Charter took
- 10:34Speaker 5: off ABC, Disney off of all of its platforms. The
- 10:37Speaker 5: point is for streaming to make money, they're going to
- 10:41Speaker 5: have to get the middleman out of the way, and
- 10:43Speaker 5: that's Cable. So what you're seeing right now is the
- 10:45Speaker 5: negotiated death of Cable, so that Cable will go back
- 10:48Speaker 5: to doing what they're originally we're doing, which is provide
- 10:50Speaker 5: a phone service or internet service, but get cable out
- 10:53Speaker 5: of the content industry. So if you're looking at you know,
- 10:56Speaker 5: I thought it's on publicly traded companies, the cable's going
- 10:59Speaker 5: to take to hit the O.
- 11:01Speaker 6: These companies are going to bounce back. But if you're.
- 11:03Speaker 5: Looking at the internet services that have been making money
- 11:07Speaker 5: off of cable, old school, that day is coming to
- 11:09Speaker 5: an end quickly.
- 11:10Speaker 1: An illegal alien from Guatemala charged with raping a child
- 11:13Speaker 1: in Massachusetts. An MS thirteen gang member from Al Salvador
- 11:17Speaker 1: accused of murdering a Texas man of Venezuelan charged with
- 11:21Speaker 1: filming and selling child pornography in Michigan. These are just
- 11:25Speaker 1: some of the heinous migrant criminals caught because of President
- 11:29Speaker 1: Donald J. Trump's leadership. I'm Christy Noman, the United States

- 11:49Speaker 1: one thousand dollars a day, imprisoned, and deported. You will
- 11:53Speaker 1: never return. But if you register using our CBP home
- 11:56Speaker 1: app and leave now. You could be allowed to return
- 11:59Speaker 1: legal do what's right. Leave now. Under President Trump, America's laws,
- 12:05Speaker 1: border and families will be protected.
- 12:07Speaker 2: Sponsored by the United States Department of Homeland Security,
