- 0:09Speaker 1: Advice. Hello, no and no and no were no. Welcome
- 0:15Speaker 1: to the Naughty but Nice Show. I'm your host, Rob Shooter,
- 0:19Speaker 1: and it's Friday, which means our dear favorite person Corey
- 0:26Speaker 1: Andrew is joining us. Hey, Corey, are you there? I
- 0:29Speaker 1: am here. Happy Friday everyone, Corey and I can hear
- 0:33Speaker 1: you loud and clicking the two. Last week we had
- 0:37Speaker 1: a few technical issues, so it's tricky because we still
- 0:41Speaker 1: record this at home. We've not gone yet back to
- 0:44Speaker 1: the I Heart studios, so we're doing the best we can.
- 0:46Speaker 1: And I do love you naughties for hanging with us
- 0:50Speaker 1: the weeks that we don't quite get it perfect. So
- 0:53Speaker 1: last week our microphone settings were very different, so I
- 0:57Speaker 1: was loud, loud, loud, surprise, sur prior, and I know
- 1:01Speaker 1: people were like, did you deliberately to corees mike? Do
- 1:10Speaker 1: you know? I had a friend once who did a
- 1:13Speaker 1: duet in London with a Dina Mamselle, and she noticed
- 1:18Speaker 1: that her mike was just a little bit lower, and
- 1:24Speaker 1: you know, I was. I had a guitar player once
- 1:26Speaker 1: who he kept putting his effects pads in front of
- 1:30Speaker 1: my microphone, so he had to step beyond me a
- 1:32Speaker 1: little closer as an audience, and little tricks people do them,
- 1:36Speaker 1: the little tricks, the little tricks. When I went for
- 1:39Speaker 1: Naomi Campbell, she would never enter a runway until the
- 1:42Speaker 1: other girl was off. So normally you wait for the
- 1:45Speaker 1: girl to be halfway up and then you start your
- 1:47Speaker 1: walks and you sort of meet in the middle. Naomi
- 1:50Speaker 1: was like, oh, I'm not quite ready to go, or
- 1:53Speaker 1: there's something wrong with my bottle on my shoe, and
- 1:55Speaker 1: so she would only And I love all these tricks.
- 1:57Speaker 1: I've got to be honest, you know me, well, naughties,
- 1:59Speaker 1: I I that guy. I am the type of guy
- 2:02Speaker 1: that would do that. But I didn't do it last week.
- 2:04Speaker 1: It genuinely was a mistake. And Corey didn't a listener
- 2:08Speaker 1: and Naughty reach out to you, yes, and I have
- 2:10Speaker 1: to say thank you. He was really kind. He said, listen,
- 2:13Speaker 1: I love the show. But last week it sounded like
- 2:15Speaker 1: you were recording from out of space and it led
- 2:18Speaker 1: through room and that was like the quote. I said,
- 2:20Speaker 1: Oh my goodness. So I didn't know what was going on,
- 2:23Speaker 1: but we you know, we're working it through. I think
- 2:25Speaker 1: today it's gonna be great and we're gonna get right.
- 2:28Speaker 1: You're a perfectionist, Corey more so than I am. And
- 2:31Speaker 1: you get more upset about this stuff than I do.
- 2:33Speaker 1: You texted me and you were so upset you would
- 2:38Speaker 1: get so fired me. Rob, You're here forever. Let's jump
- 2:45Speaker 1: into the show. What time is it, my friend? It
- 2:49Speaker 1: is t time. Really sweet story to sort of send
- 2:53Speaker 1: us into the holidays, which I think we all want.
- 2:56Speaker 1: So this we've been doing so much Royal drama, Brittany drama.
- 3:00Speaker 1: This story popped up and I just love it. So
- 3:03Speaker 1: Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopezi's kids are getting along effortlessly,
- 3:09Speaker 1: isn't it nice? So blended families can be really challenging,
- 3:14Speaker 1: especially around the holidays. If you're a member of a
- 3:17Speaker 1: blended family, you really do know that. But it seems
- 3:21Speaker 1: as if Santa at least has granted j Lo and
- 3:25Speaker 1: Ben an early Christmas wish because their kids are getting along,
- 3:30Speaker 1: quote effortlessly. The reportings coming from Entertainment Tonight, who were
- 3:35Speaker 1: always the nice guys, like we're naughty, but nice. Entertainment
- 3:39Speaker 1: Tonight are just nice, Like it's just always so nice.
- 3:43Speaker 1: I love going to their website, but it's always very
- 3:46Speaker 1: very Sometimes it's it's almost like press redies. Yeah, that's
- 3:50Speaker 1: a little bit. I just think did the publicist right herself?
- 3:55Speaker 1: In my PR days, I used to say another publicist
- 3:58Speaker 1: used to say, for clients guilty, if they do something
- 4:02Speaker 1: terrible and they're guilty, you do entertainment tonight because they'll
- 4:05Speaker 1: never ask about it. They're let think about what you're wearing,
- 4:09Speaker 1: what color your shoes are, what's the inspiration for the
- 4:12Speaker 1: new movie. But they'll never be like, oh, when you
- 4:14Speaker 1: murdered somebody that they just never mentioned that. So entertainment tonight. Yes,
- 4:19Speaker 1: they've known for for being really nice. But I want
- 4:21Speaker 1: to believe this story. They're reporting that all the kids
- 4:25Speaker 1: are getting along, and it's a lot of kids. It's
- 4:28Speaker 1: jl is fourteen year old twins Emmy and Max fourteens
- 4:32Speaker 1: of difficult age, isn't it When I was fourteen, I
- 4:34Speaker 1: could be a bit of a brat. Also to Ben
- 4:37Speaker 1: has he has Viola, who seventeen. She's like growing up now,
- 4:41Speaker 1: isn't she. Violet went to the White House with her
- 4:43Speaker 1: mom a couple of weeks ago. I know they're the
- 4:46Speaker 1: perks of having really famous parents. Sara Fina is thirteen
- 4:50Speaker 1: and Samuel is ten years old and they're all getting
- 4:54Speaker 1: along great and insider added quote. They all have respect
- 4:58Speaker 1: for each other and ends relationship with Ben's kids is natural,
- 5:03Speaker 1: and the same goes for Ben's bonds with Jaylo's kids.
- 5:07Speaker 1: So I hit the phones to figure all this out,
- 5:10Speaker 1: and they said, that's the key to this. They're not
- 5:12Speaker 1: trying too hard. They know there's going to be awkward moments.
- 5:16Speaker 1: They know that this is unusual. Both parents are super,
- 5:19Speaker 1: super famous, and Jennifer really respects the fact that Jennifer
- 5:24Speaker 1: Gardner is the three kids mom, and Ben really respects
- 5:28Speaker 1: the fact that Mark Antony are the twins the two
- 5:32Speaker 1: kids dad, and I think they're not trying to be
- 5:36Speaker 1: the new mom or the new dad. I like that
- 5:39Speaker 1: this is working out and you would not sort of
- 5:41Speaker 1: think this at first. Maybe you'd think Ben could pull
- 5:44Speaker 1: it off. But Jaylo has such a reputation of being
- 5:46Speaker 1: a diva or high maintenance and it's all an act.
- 5:50Speaker 1: Some of it's an act. I used to work for her,
- 5:51Speaker 1: so I can say that she's really caring and she's
- 5:55Speaker 1: got a really mothering kind side to her. So although
- 5:59Speaker 1: we see her on stage spinning around a strip of
- 6:02Speaker 1: pole and the Super Bowl, she's not doing that at home.
- 6:06Speaker 1: She's the jeans and a T shirt type of girl.
- 6:08Speaker 1: She pulls her hair back in a ponytail, and I
- 6:11Speaker 1: love that all this is working at What do you think, Well,
- 6:14Speaker 1: you know, I do think it's still difficult because just
- 6:16Speaker 1: a year ago, I mean, it was a Rod's kids,
- 6:18Speaker 1: you know what I mean. I mean, so it's it's
- 6:20Speaker 1: I know that we want to say it's all like
- 6:21Speaker 1: rose colored glasses, but at one point the kids have
- 6:24Speaker 1: to almost have to ask, Okay, well, whose kids are
- 6:27Speaker 1: going to get used to this year? Mom? You know
- 6:29Speaker 1: it's right. It was fast. It was a very fast
- 6:32Speaker 1: transition with that. So um, I do wish them well.
- 6:35Speaker 1: They seem happy. I've seen Instagram videos of them singing
- 6:38Speaker 1: holiday songs now rush the marshmallows and things, so I'm
- 6:42Speaker 1: hoping for the best for them. You'd make a good point, though,
- 6:45Speaker 1: what do a Rod's kids think, Like she got close
- 6:48Speaker 1: to them and so did her twin. Do you think
- 6:51Speaker 1: they still talk or do you think the twins email
- 6:54Speaker 1: them or tax them? I don't think you can. I mean,
- 6:56Speaker 1: it's awkward, But at the same time time to think
- 6:59Speaker 1: that she just would like shut them off two is
- 7:01Speaker 1: also awkward. That's also awkward. Yeah, I have no idea.
- 7:04Speaker 1: What do you do? It's almost like when you fall
- 7:07Speaker 1: out with an X but you still want to be
- 7:10Speaker 1: friends with their friends. Yeah. Yeah, yeah, it's so tricky.
- 7:13Speaker 1: Which is so tricky. I do like, though, that this
- 7:16Speaker 1: seems to be working out just lovely, which brings us
- 7:20Speaker 1: to our pole question of the day. Ben Affleck and
- 7:22Speaker 1: Jennifer Lopeg's kids are getting along effortlessly. I love that word.
- 7:28Speaker 1: I never use it effortlessly. I love that word. Will
- 7:31Speaker 1: they have more kids? That's a little bit of a
- 7:35Speaker 1: right turn there of our pop question. Goodness, do you
- 7:38Speaker 1: think they'll have more kids? What do they have? Three? Four? Five? There?
- 7:42Speaker 1: Go vote on our Twitter page at Naughty Nice Robber
- 7:46Speaker 1: Facebook page which is Naughty Gossip, and be sure to
- 7:50Speaker 1: check back on Monday to hear your results. I'm doing
- 7:53Speaker 1: a show on Monday, so I know it's Christmas, but
- 7:56Speaker 1: I love doing this and for twenty minutes while the
- 7:58Speaker 1: house is all asleep at my be a solo show.
- 8:00Speaker 1: I don't know if Garrett is around because he has
- 8:03Speaker 1: children and he's technically off from work, and so I
- 8:06Speaker 1: don't know if he wants to pull out a microphone.
- 8:08Speaker 1: But I don't consider this work. I considered this having
- 8:11Speaker 1: coffee with my friends each connect with everyone on christ
- 8:16Speaker 1: does miss It's like the Sex of the City girls.
- 8:18Speaker 1: I feel like we're all sitting around in the cafe
- 8:20Speaker 1: and instead of cosmos, I'm doing coffee. And if I
- 8:23Speaker 1: take it a little later in the day, I definitely
- 8:24Speaker 1: would do like I have a shot of sambuga or something.
- 8:29Speaker 1: I'll have a piece of Christmas cake that's left over,
- 8:32Speaker 1: so I'll be eating all the cookies that we did
- 8:34Speaker 1: eat the day before. But I'll see you back on Monday.
- 8:36Speaker 1: So don't forget to vote. Hey Corey Love, what are
- 8:39Speaker 1: you working on? Yes? Well, John Mayor just cleared up
- 8:42Speaker 1: the rumors about who inspired his big hit song Your
- 8:45Speaker 1: Body Is a Wonderland, and it was not his famous
- 8:49Speaker 1: X after all. So in John Mayor's iconic two thousand
- 8:52Speaker 1: one love song Your Body Is a Wonderland, actress Jennifer
- 8:55Speaker 1: Love Hewitt, whom he was dating at the time. Now,
- 8:57Speaker 1: she was long believed to be the muse behind that song. Yeah, no, no,
- 9:03Speaker 1: and she does have this amazing body. She was kind
- 9:05Speaker 1: of known. She was known for this amazing body, so
- 9:08Speaker 1: it made sense that that might be who she was
- 9:10Speaker 1: who he was referring to. But now many years later,
- 9:13Speaker 1: Mayor is finally addressing the rumors and denying that it
- 9:16Speaker 1: was hewittt at all. He says, that was my first
- 9:19Speaker 1: girlfriend I wrote that about. You know, he says, I
- 9:21Speaker 1: was twenty one when I wrote that song, and I
- 9:23Speaker 1: was nostalgic for being sixteen. Mayor, who's dated other A
- 9:27Speaker 1: list celebs, including Katy Perry, Jennifer Aniston and of course
- 9:31Speaker 1: Taylor switch Ylist and Jennifer and I forgot about that.
- 9:35Speaker 1: My goodness, Jessica too. Wow, he went through some of
- 9:39Speaker 1: those A listers. Um. Well, you know, he's acknowledged a
- 9:43Speaker 1: long standing rumor about the song, though he says it's
- 9:45Speaker 1: one of those things where people just sort of formed
- 9:47Speaker 1: an idea about it and it gets reinforced over the years,
- 9:50Speaker 1: he said. But truthfully, he says he had never even
- 9:53Speaker 1: met a celebrity at the time he wrote that song
- 9:55Speaker 1: because he was he was, like, you know, he was
- 9:57Speaker 1: not quite famous yet himself, so he was still a kid.
- 10:01Speaker 1: But you know, I say, he's so fun. Um, but
- 10:03Speaker 1: he's you know, he's been a little controversial because of
- 10:06Speaker 1: his dating history. But I worked at Sony Music Sony
- 10:09Speaker 1: b MG when this album came out, his debuts, I
- 10:12Speaker 1: worked up it. I worked on the marketing for it.
- 10:14Speaker 1: So I think he was good to deal with. He
- 10:17Speaker 1: really was. You know, people in the office loved him,
- 10:18Speaker 1: women had women all had crushes on him. He did
- 10:21Speaker 1: like live things inside the studio before for us, and um,
- 10:25Speaker 1: yeah it was a big deal. He was like, he
- 10:27Speaker 1: just came out of the box swinging this album. Yea,
- 10:30Speaker 1: yeah he did. Maybe super talented, super talented. I have
- 10:33Speaker 1: a really mixed history with him because I was working
- 10:35Speaker 1: for Jessica when he dated her, so I saw him
- 10:38Speaker 1: at his worse. He made her cry, he didn't turn
- 10:40Speaker 1: up on time. I remember for her birthday he said
- 10:44Speaker 1: he a DVD of him live in concert. Oh my gosh.
- 10:49Speaker 1: I mean she watched, but she watched it. She thought
- 10:53Speaker 1: it was a great gift. I was like, what where's it?
- 10:56Speaker 1: Whe's where's the guy? But where's all the fabulous like
- 10:59Speaker 1: bags shoes? He sent her a DVD of himself. So
- 11:02Speaker 1: I'm not a fan of John Maya and we sort
- 11:04Speaker 1: of have a little bit of beef, Like if we
- 11:06Speaker 1: saw each other would probably hiss like it'd be awkward,
- 11:10Speaker 1: like if I saw him, Yeah, we'd hiss it to
- 11:11Speaker 1: each other, like if I saw him blood and he'd
- 11:14Speaker 1: probably the same towards me. Because I'm teamed Jessica here,
- 11:16Speaker 1: so I'm not a fan. I should point out to
- 11:19Speaker 1: that he didn't ever damper down the rumors that it
- 11:23Speaker 1: was Jennifer Love because that helped the song. So now
- 11:27Speaker 1: years later, that's song. You're such a hit, it doesn't
- 11:30Speaker 1: need any rumors anymore. But I do love when we
- 11:33Speaker 1: try to figure out whose songs are about. Who's Lola
- 11:38Speaker 1: in Copacabana? My husband wrote that song. I love that stuff.
- 11:41Speaker 1: And you're so vain Carly Simon, who was that was?
- 11:45Speaker 1: It wasn't the Jagger because he's actually mc jaggery. I
- 11:50Speaker 1: know what about your songs, Corey. You you're super successful
- 11:53Speaker 1: and you've had several big hits. Do you base your
- 11:56Speaker 1: songs on past lovers or you're fantastic guy you were with?
- 11:59Speaker 1: Do um? You know what it's been both, it's been
- 12:02Speaker 1: all the above and music. When I was in New
- 12:05Speaker 1: York City, you know, on my own and had a
- 12:08Speaker 1: painful breakup, it was just me and my guitar. I
- 12:10Speaker 1: was Taylor Swift, the black gay man version of Taylor
- 12:13Speaker 1: Swift in Brooklyn, and I was just writing my heart
- 12:15Speaker 1: out that all the it's therapeutic. It's really therapy. I
- 12:20Speaker 1: got a bottino and drink when my heart was broken,
- 12:24Speaker 1: I'd reach vodka. I know. I wish I was talented
- 12:28Speaker 1: enough to reach for a guitar. I really really do. Hey,
- 12:31Speaker 1: we found out what William and Kate are going to
- 12:33Speaker 1: be doing for their first Christmas without Queen Elizabeth. So
- 12:38Speaker 1: in a brief statement, Buckingham Palace announced that the royal
- 12:41Speaker 1: family will be celebrating Christmas at Sandrington Castle. This is
- 12:46Speaker 1: the first time in three years because of COVID, and
- 12:49Speaker 1: it's the first time the royal family will be celebrating
- 12:52Speaker 1: after the death of Queen Elizabeth. So William, Kate, also
- 12:57Speaker 1: to George I love him, Charlotte and Louis, who might
- 13:01Speaker 1: be my favorite, Naught they all are going to be there.
- 13:05Speaker 1: But sources say that this year the younger royals want
- 13:09Speaker 1: to spend time with their own families. They want to
- 13:11Speaker 1: start a little bit of a new traditions. They might
- 13:13Speaker 1: spend two or three days at sand Drinkham Castle and
- 13:17Speaker 1: then they probably will head back to their own homes.
- 13:22Speaker 1: I get that, Like when I get to see my
- 13:24Speaker 1: mom and dad for the holidays, I'm not going this year.
- 13:26Speaker 1: My sister was just in town, so it was lovely
- 13:28Speaker 1: to see her, but you know, three or four days,
- 13:31Speaker 1: I'm done like that. I want to go and do
- 13:33Speaker 1: my own sort of holiday traditions with my friends and
- 13:38Speaker 1: and people that I hang out with. What's your traditions, Colly? Well,
- 13:42Speaker 1: you know, my grandmother was such a big part of that.
- 13:44Speaker 1: She drove so much of that. She's been gone out
- 13:46Speaker 1: twenty years, passed away, Oh gosh. Well, so just a
- 13:50Speaker 1: lot of a lot of families and lots of cousins,
- 13:53Speaker 1: lots of little cousins, and we all would come over
- 13:55Speaker 1: to my grandparents house when my grandmother would have been
- 13:58Speaker 1: cooking for three days. You know, she began her fruit
- 14:01Speaker 1: cake three days before Christmas, and you know, soaking the
- 14:03Speaker 1: cake and rum like two days beforehand, and all the preparations.
- 14:07Speaker 1: And so my mom has has carried on some of them.
- 14:09Speaker 1: But my mother is getting up there in age now,
- 14:12Speaker 1: so it's a bit more scaled back now. I just go.
- 14:14Speaker 1: She and I have a nice time. But my aunt
- 14:16Speaker 1: or my or Joey will join us. So, um, you know,
- 14:19Speaker 1: traditions do change. Everyone have to be tie yourself to
- 14:23Speaker 1: traditions that don't serve you anymore. If you're not capable
- 14:28Speaker 1: and you don't want to even spend four days cooking, don't.
- 14:32Speaker 1: I'm a terrible cook and I don't enjoy it. I
- 14:34Speaker 1: know I'm not good at it, and I don't enjoy it,
- 14:37Speaker 1: so I order in So yeah, I've ordered Jewish. I
- 14:41Speaker 1: know on Christmas Day we're going to do straw open
- 14:45Speaker 1: honey on that day, so it's going to be lecious. Hey,
- 14:50Speaker 1: some some some concerning news. Tori Spelling has been hospitalized
- 14:54Speaker 1: scoring yes, yes, you know. And I just love Tori Spelling.
- 14:56Speaker 1: Let me just that I think she's a really great gal.
- 14:59Speaker 1: So but so, Toriy, she's been hospitalized with a hard
- 15:02Speaker 1: time of breathing and you know what she describes as
- 15:05Speaker 1: crazy dizziness. So she shared a sense deleted Instagram story
- 15:10Speaker 1: selfie from a hospital bed on a Wednesday. She was
- 15:12Speaker 1: flashing the peace sign and smiling at the camera and
- 15:15Speaker 1: she says, here, I am in the hospital since late
- 15:18Speaker 1: last night. The Beverly Hills nine O two and O
- 15:20Speaker 1: A lum roped and she noted that she was experiencing
- 15:23Speaker 1: high blood pressure and crazy dizziness. That's a cool and
- 15:26Speaker 1: the doctors are running a battery of tests now Tory
- 15:29Speaker 1: who also everyone knows from Tori and Dean that reality show.
- 15:33Speaker 1: She went on to slam her haters who quote gas
- 15:36Speaker 1: lit her when she fell too sick to work this week.
- 15:38Speaker 1: She says, how about next time you take someone at
- 15:41Speaker 1: face value and show kindness instead of doubtfulness, spelling, and
- 15:46Speaker 1: remember for people like me not working as a nightmare,
- 15:48Speaker 1: I'm a hustler and a workaholic. I always choose to work. Yeah,
- 15:53Speaker 1: she she really is. And you know, I think that
- 15:55Speaker 1: she's always had such a bad rap because of her
- 15:57Speaker 1: father being so famous, that nightmare mother of her. That's rights. No,
- 16:02Speaker 1: it's all been a little much for her. Hey, we
- 16:04Speaker 1: hope you get out soon, Tory, and we're sending you
- 16:07Speaker 1: all I love. We're going to take a quick break
- 16:08Speaker 1: and we will be right back where we come back
- 16:12Speaker 1: to the naughty but nice shooting with our dear friend
- 16:15Speaker 1: Corey Andrew. Hey, Corey, let's get to the polls. Thank you, darling.
- 16:21Speaker 1: Look at you leaning gear. I saw it. Yeah, you
- 16:26Speaker 1: know how to use a microphone. That's why you got
- 16:28Speaker 1: so upset when it didn't work. Because of all the
- 16:31Speaker 1: hosts of this show. You know how to use a
- 16:34Speaker 1: microphone better. When you sing those high notes, do you
- 16:38Speaker 1: pull it away from your face like you're Judy Garland?
- 16:41Speaker 1: I do, you know, But there's a technical reason for
- 16:43Speaker 1: that too. I just say, because you don't have the
- 16:45Speaker 1: mic to distort. So it's also strategic. But it looks
- 16:48Speaker 1: fabulous too when you do it. You know, you have
- 16:51Speaker 1: to perform live in the New Year, and we all
- 16:53Speaker 1: have to come, all the naughties have to come. We'd
- 16:56Speaker 1: have to Oh, what would be so much fun. I
- 17:00Speaker 1: don't like doing live stuff. So once a friend of
- 17:04Speaker 1: mine was at Carolines and her audience she was a
- 17:06Speaker 1: radio personality, tailor streker. She's great and she does also
- 17:11Speaker 1: to stand up. And she did a night at Caroline
- 17:14Speaker 1: and all of her all of her listeners came. Lots
- 17:16Speaker 1: of her listeners came, and so did the co host,
- 17:19Speaker 1: and she dragged us up on stage, and I was miserable.
- 17:21Speaker 1: I like to sit at a table and drink of okasda.
- 17:24Speaker 1: I'm not a stage person. Well, we should plan something
- 17:26Speaker 1: in the new year. We should plan something. We can
- 17:30Speaker 1: all sit there and sing along and you can get
- 17:32Speaker 1: up to want invite all the naughties. Okay, let's get
- 17:34Speaker 1: to this pole dot. Brittany Spiers reached out to her
- 17:38Speaker 1: a strange mommy, Lynspias, and said, let's have coffee. Now
- 17:42Speaker 1: is she shading her mom? Or is she genuinely extending
- 17:45Speaker 1: an olive branch? Percent said Shade. And the reason I
- 17:49Speaker 1: agree with you is that let's have a coffee is
- 17:52Speaker 1: the key. Brittany has said that under the conservator ship
- 17:56Speaker 1: she wasn't allowed to drink coffee and so for years. Okay,
- 18:03Speaker 1: so at first I was like, oh, this is lovely.
- 18:05Speaker 1: They're going to make friends for the holidays, but it's
- 18:08Speaker 1: actually I think a bit of a dig. Don't on
- 18:15Speaker 1: today's pole. Go to our Twitter page at Naughty Nights
- 18:18Speaker 1: Rob or our Facebook page Nobody Girls, and be sure
- 18:20Speaker 1: to check back on Monday. I promise we'll be here
- 18:23Speaker 1: on Monday for your results. And now it's time for
- 18:26Speaker 1: our nicest Yes well. Hugh Jackman says therapy is helping
- 18:34Speaker 1: him cope with childhood trauma. Fifty four year old actor
- 18:38Speaker 1: revealed earlier this week that he has been going to
- 18:40Speaker 1: therapy to help deal with the unresolved trauma of his mother,
- 18:43Speaker 1: Grace McNeil, leaving when he was just eight years old.
- 18:46Speaker 1: He says, I just started it recently. It helped me
- 18:48Speaker 1: a lot. We all need a village, he said, and
- 18:50Speaker 1: adding that having someone really smart who's a little bit
- 18:53Speaker 1: removed from your world can really be helpful. Most importantly
- 18:56Speaker 1: is helping me be more relational with the people I
- 18:59Speaker 1: love in my life. If he recalls what it was
- 19:01Speaker 1: like when his mother left, he shared in an emotional
- 19:04Speaker 1: interview in Australia's Sixty Minutes back in two thousand twelve,
- 19:07Speaker 1: as reported by It Today, I can remember the morning
- 19:10Speaker 1: she left. It's weird the things you pick up. I
- 19:12Speaker 1: remember her being in a towel around her head and
- 19:15Speaker 1: saying goodbye. Very difficult, and I love that he's doing that.
- 19:20Speaker 1: I went to therapy for the exact same reason, childhood
- 19:23Speaker 1: trauma unresolved, and it was the best decision of my life.
- 19:26Speaker 1: I discovered it while I was writing my book, The
- 19:29Speaker 1: Forward Answer, and it got two chapters or time when
- 19:33Speaker 1: I was talking about my childhood and things popped up,
- 19:36Speaker 1: really dark things popped up, and I started to get
- 19:39Speaker 1: a therapy too, and it really helped. And I know
- 19:41Speaker 1: it's a luxury and I know it's expensive, but I
- 19:43Speaker 1: think for me, it was the best investment I ever made.
- 19:46Speaker 1: And Tay, let's do and notice the day. So the
- 19:50Speaker 1: fan asked Oprah wouldn't fre what they should buy their
- 19:53Speaker 1: mom for the holidays, and Oprah gave this suggestion, beautiful
- 20:00Speaker 1: red jewelry box. And the person responded, Oh, I can't afford.
- 20:06Speaker 1: That's a little bit too much for my budget. And
- 20:09Speaker 1: Oprah seemed very surprised that she was like, you're looking
- 20:12Speaker 1: for a gift lower than a hundred dollars and was like, yes,
- 20:18Speaker 1: now we know Oprah is a billionaire, and I'm sure
- 20:21Speaker 1: a hundred dollars to Oprah isn't very much. And she
- 20:26Speaker 1: just lost herself a little bit of a moment. So
- 20:29Speaker 1: it's very tricky, isn't it When people ask you what
- 20:32Speaker 1: to get them for the holidays and stuff. I'm always
- 20:34Speaker 1: a little bit careful because you never know people's budgets.
- 20:37Speaker 1: You don't you don't know what people have available, you
- 20:40Speaker 1: don't know people's money. It's something we never talk about.
- 20:43Speaker 1: But watch Oprah's reaction when this person. It's so funny,
- 20:49Speaker 1: but it sort of it's really outrageous to our Naughtiest
- 20:52Speaker 1: of the Day list end with a moment of rob.
- 20:55Speaker 1: You get the Robbie get Robbie get a rob. Today's
- 20:58Speaker 1: moment of Rob comes from Harry Honor Grandy, who said
- 21:01Speaker 1: the following. I worked with someone who told me they'd
- 21:05Speaker 1: never like me, but for some reason, I just felt
- 21:10Speaker 1: like I needed their approval, so I started to change
- 21:14Speaker 1: myself to please her, and she did like me, but
- 21:19Speaker 1: I was so unhappy. Don't change yourself for other people.
- 21:25Speaker 1: It doesn't matter who you want to like you. If
- 21:30Speaker 1: you're not you, then they really don't like you. Be yourself,
- 21:36Speaker 1: and I promise your tribe will find you. I'm unusual,
- 21:40Speaker 1: I get it. I'm an odd guy, and it took
- 21:43Speaker 1: me a long time to learn that I didn't have
- 21:46Speaker 1: to fit in, that I didn't have to pretend to
- 21:48Speaker 1: be somebody else to be popular. In fact, my popularity
- 21:52Speaker 1: only really happened when I was confident enough. And it
- 21:56Speaker 1: does take confidence and brave enough. It takes bravery to
- 22:00Speaker 1: be myself. Be yourself, everybody. That's how we're going to
- 22:06Speaker 1: end our year before Christmas. Be yourself. That's it for today.
- 22:11Speaker 1: Thank you so much for listening to the Naughty but
- 22:14Speaker 1: Nice with Rob and Corey Show. Don't forget to subscribe

- 22:31Speaker 1: to be happy, happy Christmas. It's not even nice with
