- 0:00SPEAKER_01: I won back my man card yesterday.
- 0:02SPEAKER_01: Two things actually happened when I was doing laundry yesterday.
- 0:04SPEAKER_01: Oops, there goes the man card.
- 0:06SPEAKER_01: Uh but uh two things happened.
- 0:07SPEAKER_02: Doing your laundry is losing a man card?
- 0:10SPEAKER_02: But uh Zach does our laundry all the time.
- 0:12SPEAKER_01: Won it back yesterday.
- 0:13SPEAKER_01: So do you remember uh for those that may not remember, when Allie and I were in Cleveland, was it two weeks ago?
- 0:20SPEAKER_02: Um it was actually almost a month ago because that's when I dropped off junior, and I'm getting him back on Saturday.
- 0:26SPEAKER_01: So almost a month ago when Allie and I were in Cleveland uh for uh a conference, uh-huh, um I was sitting, you'll remember we were sitting next to each other, my phone goes off, Tiffany goes, our washing, our our dryer, we have two washers, two dryers.
- 0:42SPEAKER_01: And in the house at that time, one washer was working, one wasn't, one dryer was working, one wasn't.
- 0:48SPEAKER_01: Well, the second dryer went.
- 0:49SPEAKER_01: Okay.
- 0:50SPEAKER_01: And I go, okay, fine, that's it.
- 0:51SPEAKER_01: We we've been looking, we've been eyeballing new washer and dryer for the longest time.
- 0:56SPEAKER_01: We've been eyeballing these ones that have the pet fur collectors.
- 1:00SPEAKER_01: So, because you go figure you might, you know, if you're in my house, you might get a little fur on you.
- 1:05SPEAKER_01: Yes.
- 1:05SPEAKER_02: And uh so and pee, if if MP's on your leg.
- 1:08SPEAKER_01: That's right.
- 1:09SPEAKER_01: He he he you're his forever now, though.
- 1:11SPEAKER_01: That's the good news.
- 1:12SPEAKER_01: Um, but the the the the thing about it was I'm in the conference literally texting my Lois card, like, here, just buy it.
- 1:21SPEAKER_01: Uh-huh.
- 1:22SPEAKER_01: You're gonna have to handle this because I'm I'm here, you're there.
- 1:25SPEAKER_01: Right.
- 1:26SPEAKER_01: And everything came it.
- 1:27SPEAKER_01: This was on Friday at the conference, and literally Saturday they came and brought it, and it's been great.
- 1:32SPEAKER_02: I can't believe that.
- 1:33SPEAKER_01: A month into it, uh, there's a little something y'all need to know about the Maytag washers.
- 1:39SPEAKER_01: Uh, and uh uh they have a uh collector, like a water filter thing uh down at the pump, which is sealed behind the main door.
- 1:49SPEAKER_01: And uh I was watching some videos and they have a tendency to clog, right?
- 1:52SPEAKER_01: Okay.
- 1:53SPEAKER_01: So I'm in the situation where the dreaded F9E1 or whatever warning comes up, contact maintenance.
- 2:00SPEAKER_01: I'm like, Already?
- 2:01SPEAKER_01: This sound bitch is a month old.
- 2:03SPEAKER_01: No, yeah.
- 2:04SPEAKER_01: So I uh did some research on YouTube four screws later, you can pull the uh and this they make it sound all the YouTube videos do this.
- 2:14SPEAKER_01: You go through 20 where you have to disassemble the entire washer.
- 2:17SPEAKER_01: Then you find the one guy who has scorching ADHD and a great southern accent, and he's like, uh, you know, and in the video, he finally showed it how to do it.
- 2:26SPEAKER_01: Took me five.
- 2:27SPEAKER_01: What you gonna do right here?
- 2:28SPEAKER_01: That's right.
- 2:28SPEAKER_01: Five minutes.
- 2:29SPEAKER_01: I pulled out what was the size of a sock of lint that had already collected in this.
- 2:34SPEAKER_01: So just a heads up.
- 2:36SPEAKER_01: I fixed it yesterday in five minutes, one back to Mancur.
- 2:39SPEAKER_01: Then I open the washer and I find a dollar bill sitting in there.
- 2:42SPEAKER_01: I'm like, score twice! I got a tip.
- 2:45SPEAKER_01: So that takes me to this.
- 2:47SPEAKER_01: Every once in a while, you find a random little bit of money somewhere.
- 2:51SPEAKER_02: Oh, yeah.
- 2:52SPEAKER_02: I love when that actually I have a dollar in my gym bag that I keep on holding.
- 2:55SPEAKER_02: I don't know what for.
- 2:57SPEAKER_01: Die Coke.
- 2:57SPEAKER_01: I know what it's for.
- 2:58SPEAKER_01: I you'll pass a machine one day, which is probably a dollar seventy-five now.
- 3:02SPEAKER_01: But either way, uh, and so I at any rate, it's not often, but sometimes you'll walk across, oh, there's uh a random ten doll sitting on the ground.
- 3:12SPEAKER_01: Love when that happens.
- 3:13SPEAKER_01: Did you know in Georgia you can get in wicked, wicked trouble for this?
- 3:17SPEAKER_01: Uh, there's actually a uh a law in the books in Georgia.
- 3:21SPEAKER_02: You know what I say?
- 3:22SPEAKER_02: Finders, keepers, losers, weepers.
- 3:23SPEAKER_01: Well, a Georgia man who picked up$30 from a Walmart floor recently returned the cash after police asked for help in identifying him.
- 3:32SPEAKER_01: A Georgia law makes it a crime for knowingly keeping such property without first taking reasonable steps to return it to its owner.
- 3:40SPEAKER_02: Oh, stop it.
- 3:42SPEAKER_01: How do you find that?
- 3:43SPEAKER_02: Well, yeah, exactly.
- 3:44SPEAKER_02: I mean, somebody randomly drops$30 in Walmart.
- 3:48SPEAKER_02: That could have been from 20 minutes ago?
- 3:51SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 3:52SPEAKER_01: An hour ago.
- 3:52SPEAKER_01: And the cameras at Walmart never work because the one time that I had a shopping cart ram into my car and scratched it all the way up the side, uh, the cameras don't pick up that in the parking lot.
- 4:02SPEAKER_02: Oh, really?
- 4:03SPEAKER_02: And then now all of a sudden it works on the day that the guy picks up 30 bucks.
- 4:06SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 4:07SPEAKER_01: Magically the cops show up, they're like, ah, okay.
- 4:09SPEAKER_02: Were they really trying to get the guy?
- 4:11SPEAKER_02: Because that seems so that's such a quick move.
- 4:15SPEAKER_02: If I see 30 bucks, I'm like, oh, scoop it up.
- 4:17SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 4:17SPEAKER_01: On your way.
- 4:18SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 4:18SPEAKER_01: No, this is this is a real thing.
- 4:20SPEAKER_02: And they come to my house.
- 4:21SPEAKER_01: Do you have 30 bucks that you got from Walmart?
- 4:23SPEAKER_01: What?
- 4:24SPEAKER_01: What are you talking about?
- 4:25SPEAKER_01: You know?
- 4:25SPEAKER_01: Could have been anywhere.
- 4:26SPEAKER_01: But this is this is legitimately a law in Georgia.
- 4:29SPEAKER_01: And it's tough because you're right.
- 4:31SPEAKER_01: The age-old question of all right, let me back this up.
- 4:35SPEAKER_01: If it's a ridiculously large sum of money, let's say, let's say there was a cash bag sitting on the side of whatever store.
- 4:44SPEAKER_02: Okay.
- 4:45SPEAKER_01: Or wherever.
- 4:45SPEAKER_01: And and uh, you know, you open it up and you're like, oh, three thousand dollars.
- 4:52SPEAKER_01: That's tougher for me to hold on to because I'm like clearly either somebody stole it, threw it out of a car window, it landed somewhere, or someone dropped it.
- 5:02SPEAKER_01: Uh large, large sums like that, I'm gonna question myself.
- 5:06SPEAKER_02: You hope that good karma comes back to you on that three thousand that you found by the one of those big red balls at Target.
- 5:12SPEAKER_02: Right.
- 5:13SPEAKER_02: And when you take it in and the person who lost their all their cash, you hope the good karma comes back and then you're gonna get a thousand dollars out of it or something like that, right?
- 5:21SPEAKER_01: Oh well, even just anything.
- 5:24SPEAKER_01: Even if it was three grand, sure, sh throw me a hundred bucks, you know.
- 5:27SPEAKER_01: But oh, a hundred?
- 5:28SPEAKER_01: That's it.
- 5:28SPEAKER_01: Come on.
- 5:29SPEAKER_01: What if it was please give me ten percent?
- 5:31SPEAKER_01: You just gave me a great one with the target one.
- 5:33SPEAKER_01: What if it was a family going back to school shopping and they didn't know they dropped it the money, and then they're all of a sudden at the checkout and they're like fumbling around, and I come walking in.
- 5:43SPEAKER_01: Did anybody lose a uh a thing of money?
- 5:46SPEAKER_01: And you know, and you might you might get them to go legitimately, oh yes, that was us, thank God.
- 5:53SPEAKER_02: I'm not gonna come in and announce it so uh loudly like that.
- 5:56SPEAKER_02: Then you're going to jail in Georgia.
- 5:57SPEAKER_02: Well, no, I would take it to Lost and Found.
- 5:59SPEAKER_02: But my that's only if that's only if it's something to that extent.
- 6:04SPEAKER_02: Or if somebody drops a wallet, because there's an ID in there.
- 6:06SPEAKER_02: That's easy.
- 6:07SPEAKER_02: That's an easy connection.
- 6:08SPEAKER_02: But 30 bucks on the floor, I'm taking it.
- 6:11SPEAKER_01: Okay, so what's your limit as far as picking it up and walking off with it?
- 6:17SPEAKER_02: I think 200.
- 6:18SPEAKER_02: Because if there's a hundred dollar bill, then it's easy for me to snatch and pocket it.
- 6:25SPEAKER_02: 200 200 bucks?
- 6:29SPEAKER_01: There's two of those hondos sitting there.
- 6:30SPEAKER_02: Yeah, that that makes me double question myself.
- 6:33SPEAKER_01: Go ahead with what you were thinking.
- 6:34SPEAKER_00: Well, I know it sounds a little drastic, but I kind of see why it should be a crime.
- 6:40SPEAKER_00: Because yeah, at the end of the day, it's still somebody else's property.
- 6:45SPEAKER_00: Like, I know 30 bucks doesn't sound like a huge amount, but you don't know what that 30 bucks means to the person who lost it.
- 6:52SPEAKER_00: You know, maybe that's what they had left till payday.
- 6:56SPEAKER_00: Maybe they needed it for gas.
- 6:57SPEAKER_00: I mean, you just don't know.
- 6:59SPEAKER_00: And if you find cash on the floor, you know somebody dropped it.
- 7:04SPEAKER_00: It's not like you found it buried in the woods and have no idea where it came from.
- 7:09SPEAKER_02: Now that's a good point.
- 7:11SPEAKER_02: Yes, it is, and I understand that, but I also may need that$30 for payday.
- 7:16SPEAKER_02: So I'm looking at it like, thank you, Lord.
- 7:19SPEAKER_02: Thank you for dropping that right here.
