- 0:29SPEAKER_00: So stay tuned!
- 0:31SPEAKER_00: Hi guys!
- 0:33SPEAKER_00: Being grounded in Christ is something that most people have a hard time putting into words.
- 0:38SPEAKER_00: But I did find a great definition from Bible Hub.
- 0:41SPEAKER_00: If you've never heard of Bible Hub,
- 0:43SPEAKER_00: it's an online Bible platform that has many Bible translations and commentaries
- 0:48SPEAKER_00: in it.
- 0:49SPEAKER_00: They define being grounded in Christ like this.
- 0:53SPEAKER_00: "...maintaining a firm and unwavering faith in Jesus Christ as the foundation of one's life.
- 0:59SPEAKER_00: It involves a continuous commitment to live according to His teachings,
- 1:03SPEAKER_00: drawing strength and guidance from His presence."
- 1:06SPEAKER_00: I thought that was really good.
- 1:08SPEAKER_00: You know,
- 1:08SPEAKER_00: this concept of being grounded is central to Christian living
- 1:12SPEAKER_00: because our relationship with Christ influences every part of our lives.
- 1:17SPEAKER_00: It's so important these days to be grounded in the right things.
- 1:21SPEAKER_00: Not the things of the world that will fade away like money or power or rewards
- 1:26SPEAKER_00: or how about fame.
- 1:28SPEAKER_00: Today, I'm going to give you five important truths that will ground you in your Christian walk.
- 1:33SPEAKER_00: So remember these things.
- 1:35SPEAKER_00: They are based on facts, not feelings.
- 1:38SPEAKER_00: And these things demand faith and trust on our part.
- 1:41SPEAKER_00: They're definite game changers.
- 1:43SPEAKER_00: So let's get into it.
- 1:44SPEAKER_00: Number one, God loves us.
- 1:47SPEAKER_00: No matter how badly we mess up, we can stand on this promise.
- 1:51SPEAKER_00: And think about it.
- 1:52SPEAKER_00: He died for you knowing every sin you would commit.
- 1:56SPEAKER_00: And He still went through with it.
- 1:59SPEAKER_00: As humans, we can't even fully grasp the extent of His unconditional love.
- 2:06SPEAKER_00: Okay, number two.
- 2:07SPEAKER_00: God sustains us.
- 2:09SPEAKER_00: This is another big truth.
- 2:12SPEAKER_00: It means that He provides what we need each day.
- 2:15SPEAKER_00: He gives us the wisdom and discernment we need to face our challenges.
- 2:21SPEAKER_00: And it means He'll get us to where He wants us to be.
- 2:24SPEAKER_00: And sometimes it's faster than we want, and sometimes it's slower than we want.
- 2:29SPEAKER_00: But we get where He wants us to be in His timing, which we know is perfect.
- 2:34SPEAKER_00: Number three, God watches over us.
- 2:38SPEAKER_00: We're so blessed because His watch over us is constant.
- 2:42SPEAKER_00: He never sleeps, He never gets distracted, and He never leaves us.
- 2:47SPEAKER_00: The Bible tells us He knows every detail of our lives.
- 2:51SPEAKER_00: And He never lets anything happen to us without His approval.
- 2:56SPEAKER_00: Number four, God forgives us.
- 3:00SPEAKER_00: His son died paying a debt that He never owed.
- 3:04SPEAKER_00: And Jesus gave us that gift that we could never repay.
- 3:08SPEAKER_00: His work was complete when He said it was finished when He was on the cross.
- 3:14SPEAKER_00: Okay, last but not least, number five, God provides hope to us.
- 3:19SPEAKER_00: We know that this life is not all there is for the Christian.
- 3:23SPEAKER_00: And we have an endless supply of hope.
- 3:27SPEAKER_00: In Titus 2:13, it talks about the blessed hope.
- 3:32SPEAKER_00: The hope that we have that He's coming back to take us to be where He is.
- 3:37SPEAKER_00: So there you have it.
- 3:39SPEAKER_00: There are five biblical truths that you can stand on in this life.
- 3:43SPEAKER_00: And there are many others, but we just went over five.
- 3:46SPEAKER_00: When we're grounded in these things, we live with clarity.
- 3:50SPEAKER_00: Purpose, determination.
- 3:52SPEAKER_00: When we're grounded in the things of the world,
- 3:55SPEAKER_00: we just get overwhelmed and scattered in our beliefs and actions.
- 4:00SPEAKER_00: That's like standing in quicksand.
- 4:02SPEAKER_00: But being grounded in Christ is like standing on a boulder.
- 4:06SPEAKER_00: It's sturdy and steady.
- 4:08SPEAKER_00: It's not going to move.
- 4:10SPEAKER_00: And we can trust it.
- 4:13SPEAKER_00: So today, make sure you're grounded in the right things.
- 4:17SPEAKER_00: Because I'm going to be doing the same.
