Latest / Sea Hawkers Podcast: for Seattle Seahawks fans / 3 IN, 3 OUT: Is Anthony Bradford Out After the Quenton Nelson Trade?
Transcript
- 0:04Clinton: Welcome in.
- 0:05Welcome in.
- 0:07Welcome Quenton to the Seahawks Podcast.
- 0:10This is gonna be a really big show.
- 0:12This is gonna be a, a little combination platter because
- 0:15the news is just so big, boys.
- 0:17We're gonna, of course, cover the Quenton Nelson big trade news, and
- 0:22we're gonna look back at the tape don't lie, three in, three out, Chiefs
- 0:26getting dominated by our Seahawks.
- 0:28Adam, it's, it's only Tuesday, but I gotta tell you, brother,
- 0:32I'm having a pretty good week.
- 0:33How are you doing?
- 0:34Adam: Dude, I'm on qual- Cloud 12.
- 0:36Like all the way, as high as you can get.
- 0:39This Quenton Nelson news, I mean, this might be the most excited I've been for a
- 0:45single move in my entire Seahawks fandom.
- 0:48Mm.
- 0:48I, I just…
- 0:49A- and we can get into all the reasons, Brandan, because this is [catfish] awesome,
- 0:54and I hope you're as fired up as I am.
- 0:56Brandan: I am fired up because the, the reason being is that when has John
- 1:01Schneider ever dealt for an offensive lineman at the trade deadline, for one?
- 1:07And looking back, Clinton, do you know how many times an All-Pro guard just,
- 1:14I don't know, in the last 20 years, has been dealt in the middle of the season?
- 1:20Clinton: Ooh, I'm gonna take the, the low ball
- 1:23here.
- 1:23Brandan: Take zero.
- 1:23Clinton: I'm gonna take zero.
- 1:24Because
- 1:24Brandan: the answer- Yeah … is zero until now.
- 1:26It does not happen.
- 1:28I mean- Teams, teams do not trade away All-Pro guards ever, and I
- 1:35think the last one maybe in season at ta- contract disputes at tackle.
- 1:40Th- those, those are the ones that happen.
- 1:41You think about Duane Brown and his season.
- 1:43Trent Williams.
- 1:44Think about Trent Williams- Yeah … and what he was going through with Washington.
- 1:47Clinton: Yep.
- 1:47Brandan: But it's never happened at a g- at, at the guard spot.
- 1:50There's some off-season trades at guard.
- 1:53Middle season, trading for guards, it's just, it's, it's, it never
- 1:57happens, and I can't believe it happened for a- as little as it did.
- 2:02Clinton: Yeah, yeah.
- 2:03And we will get into that for sure, but I mean, hey, boys, there goes my hero.
- 2:07Watch him as he cooks.
- 2:09John Schneider just cooking again mid-season deals.
- 2:13Not the first time.
- 2:14He do- this is kind of an annual thing at this point, guys.
- 2:18It's like, hey, if something's not exactly cued up the way he wants
- 2:22it- He, he'll go out there and he'll attain, and, he's shown that.
- 2:26It's kind of cool the NFL got, in general, got more, trade friendly as, as…
- 2:32You know, when we were younger, there was barely any trades.
- 2:34Barely any trades.
- 2:35It was very infrequent.
- 2:37So you get through the trade deadline and it was, you know, baseball was
- 2:40amazing and p- yeah, players really change, changing hands, the last
- 2:45two weeks before the trade deadline.
- 2:46Footballs r- was always kind of like, "Ah, one dude got moved."
- 2:49You know, like two guys got moved.
- 2:51But now it's, it's a lot more action.
- 2:53I'm grateful for it, Adam, and I'm grateful for John Schneider
- 2:55and our flockers, for sure.
- 2:57Adam: Oh, man, I, I'm grateful for all of it.
- 2:59And look, two years in a row now we go and we spend a first round draft pick on
- 3:04Grey Zabel, then we go out and we trade a whopping third round pick for arguably
- 3:10the best guard in all of football.
- 3:11Mm-hmm.
- 3:12And look, man, if you wanna make a Super Bowl championship offense, like just
- 3:17have strength on strength up the middle, and that's exactly what we've got here.
- 3:21We'll see how it all pans out in terms of who's playing and who's playing where.
- 3:26I'm gonna guess that they're gonna move Zabel over to right guard and,
- 3:30you know, put Nelson in at left guard.
- 3:32We'll see how that goes.
- 3:33It, it…
- 3:34I love these sort of problems.
- 3:35Yeah.
- 3:35Good problems.
- 3:35These are the exact sort of problems that you want.
- 3:38But I love that this is an all-in move.
- 3:41Like, this is John Schneider looking at this season being like, "We have
- 3:44a championship caliber defense.
- 3:45We have a, a very good quarterback when he's protected that can win
- 3:50a championship, and we have an offensive play caller that- is slowly
- 3:55progressing and getting better.
- 3:57And one way to help out a new play caller is to give him rock solid play
- 4:04right up the gut of your offense.
- 4:06And this isn't just gonna help Sam, it's gonna help the backs when they get back.
- 4:10It's gonna help out Fleury, as I just mentioned, and this is the type
- 4:15of move that can take you over the top, no doubt about it, especially if
- 4:19you're looking at down the stretch.
- 4:21Hey, we got a match up with the Niners team, who kind of gave us
- 4:23the business up front a little bit when we saw them the first time.
- 4:27Also too, if the Rams get their poop in a group.
- 4:29I mean, we're still dealing with Aaron Donald and Myles Garrett at some point.
- 4:33Like, this is the type of arms race move that keeps you ahead
- 4:37of the chain, so to speak.
- 4:38And it's the exact one that I wanted.
- 4:40Everybody was talking about getting a back, and the idea of Quenton
- 4:44Nelson was intoxicating to me.
- 4:46And now I'm, I'm, I'm hammered off of awesome guard play that we're
- 4:51gonna watch here for the next year.
- 4:52This is fantastic.
- 4:54Clinton: Yeah, I love it as well.
- 4:55All right, so let's dive into it, boys.
- 4:57We're, we're d- we detailed this one.
- 4:58We called it Seahawks Add Beef, because they did.
- 5:02They added LeBeefCake here.
- 5:03Remember, we're gonna get into the Chiefs, Chiefs at Seahawks tape later
- 5:07with three and three out style, so stick around for that, because we have a lot
- 5:10of really cool film to review with you.
- 5:13And we're, like, kind of going under the covers with some of these plays that
- 5:17some, some of them were the popular plays, but a lot of them were, like, kind of
- 5:20forgotten about already, and they're, they're key moments and just players
- 5:23just being shocking and relentless.
- 5:25And we're gonna see a lot of that.
- 5:26The cool part is, too, if you thought you liked the kind of the green shoots
- 5:30of the running game last week, which versus the Chiefs, which I did, it just…
- 5:35N- now we add the best guard in the league.
- 5:37So it's, it's like this, this opportunity to imagine what if, what
- 5:41happens when we add Quenton Nelson, and what happens when we get Charbonnet
- 5:44back and we get Jadarian Price back, because it's gonna be pretty darn cool.
- 5:47All right, so boys, we always wanna remind folks, we are on the march to
- 5:517,000 subscribers out there on YouTube.
- 5:54It's a, it's a s- it's a steady climb, and it's because people
- 5:57are freaking awesome out there.
- 5:58So you know it's free.
- 5:59Go ahead, click the subscribe, and, and when, when you're watching
- 6:03the videos, like, comment, hype.
- 6:05It all helps so, so much.
- 6:06We're, like, 130 away now from 7K.
- 6:10I mean, this, this news should be a pretty big boost.
- 6:12Let's, let's get there.
- 6:13Guys, Quenton Nelson, the word on the street is that he kind of
- 6:17had, you know, a little bit of a, a, a choice to make and he…
- 6:20in inside the building in Indy, he was kind of favoring Seattle.
- 6:24And Brandan, I, I wonder why.
- 6:26I just, I…
- 6:26there's something.
- 6:27Hmm.
- 6:27Something rem- is like maybe Quenton Nelson had something on his brain- Yeah
- 6:32about why Seattle.
- 6:33Brandan: It could be this giant ring with a couple of Lombardi
- 6:37trophies behind the Seahawks logo that had something to do with it.
- 6:40And, you know, if consequence of winning a championship means that we can get
- 6:46all pro guards at the trade deadline, then Adam, I, I think that's a, that's a
- 6:51trade-off I'm willing to make every time
- 6:54Adam: Look, man, as I said, I couldn't be happier about this.
- 6:57I am seeing some comments though about, you know, who's gonna play
- 7:00where and, and that sort of thing.
- 7:02Yeah.
- 7:02Are we gonna
- 7:03Brandan: get into that?
- 7:03Clinton: Yeah.
- 7:04I, I'd love to…
- 7:04I, I would like to talk about that a few
- 7:06minutes.
- 7:06Adam: Well, we're talking about this trade, right?
- 7:07Like,
- 7:08Clinton: this is- Well, the trade- Yeah … let's get the facts first,
- 7:10'cause there, there might be some people, you know, around the world just
- 7:13waking up, being like, "Wait a second.
- 7:14We got Quenton Nelson."
- 7:15So I think let's lay the groundwork.
- 7:18What's the trade?
- 7:19What do we give, what do we give up?
- 7:20How much…
- 7:21You know, how, how great do we feel about that?
- 7:24And then I think we should explore what do we think the best combination
- 7:28is of the five we could put out there.
- 7:30So Brandan, you have the radio voice.
- 7:32Do you wanna, like, at least lay the groundwork of what did we
- 7:34actually give up to a- to acquire an All-Pro guard in Quenton Nelson?
- 7:39Brandan: Freaking nothing, Clinton.
- 7:41Because, you know, it's…
- 7:43When we went through this off-season, and there's these magic beans called
- 7:46compensatory picks that you get when other teams sign your players or even your
- 7:53executives, and we got a third round…
- 7:56We're expected to get a third round compensatory pick for the Vikings hiring
- 8:01away one of our front office guys, and so that's a potential third round pick.
- 8:06With Mafe, with, K9, with, oh, Riq Woolen, we're
- 8:13expected to get, like, fifth, fourth or fifth round compensatory picks.
- 8:17I, I think the projection is all fifth.
- 8:18But, the fifth that we're giving up isn't even next year.
- 8:22It's 2028.
- 8:23So we're giving up a third round pick that we got from an executive leaving.
- 8:30Now, they might take our original third round pick, whatever.
- 8:33They're gonna be so close together, 'cause we're going back to back, so it's not-
- 8:35Like it … not even th- that much…
- 8:38We're giving up things that we didn't even have at the start of the season- Mm … is
- 8:41what I'm saying, for Quenton Nelson.
- 8:43And then the other part is, yes, we would expect that he, John
- 8:47Schneider's gonna wanna re-sign him, because the dude's only 30.
- 8:49Yeah.
- 8:49Guards play for a while.
- 8:51I wouldn't expect Quenton Nelson to retire.
- 8:53So, i- you would hope to re-sign him, but if you don't Then you're
- 8:58getting a third round comp pick back in 2028 because he's gonna sign with
- 9:03another team for a boatload of money, and you, you get compensated that way.
- 9:07So giving up a fifth for a rental for Qu- Quenton Nelson for
- 9:11half a year and paying him seven mil, this is such a no-brainer.
- 9:16I didn't even think that this was possible.
- 9:18Mm.
- 9:19Clinton: Yeah.
- 9:19Yeah.
- 9:20Yeah, please.
- 9:20T- I know, I know you're fired up, but I mean, how much, how much more
- 9:23fired up are you that, like, you know, we didn't pay at all a king's ransom
- 9:27to acquire, a, an All-Pro man?
- 9:30It- it's pretty sick.
- 9:31Adam: It's pretty sick, and here's the thing.
- 9:33Even if you didn't get the comp pick if he walked at the end of the year, I am
- 9:371000% fine burning your extra third round pick to try to help solidify a Super
- 9:43Bowl run this year to go back-to-back.
- 9:45Like, these are the times that you strike.
- 9:47I mean, this is…
- 9:47The iron couldn't be hotter, and I am, I am just over the moon at doing this
- 9:54rather than going out and getting a back.
- 9:56And I am, I am a little- Hey, we don't have to
- 9:58Brandan: be done.
- 9:59I j- you know
- 10:01Adam: I, I do not understand the idea of, "We gotta trade for a running back."
- 10:06No, we don't.
- 10:07Like, we literally don't.
- 10:08Like, Charbonnet was half of the equation last year,
- 10:11Brandan: and- If he comes back and is his same self as last year, right.
- 10:15Adam: You know what?
- 10:16I would say six, 10 years ago, I would be with you on that statement, but we're in
- 10:21a new day when it comes to this medical stuff, and guys come back from it.
- 10:25Look at Mahomes running around, like, out there, and he tore his
- 10:29fairly late in the year as well.
- 10:31Like, and I understand quarterback and running back are different.
- 10:34But with that said, I have no doubts that Charbonnet is gonna be 96%,
- 10:39at least, of what we saw last year.
- 10:42And you combine that with the rookie, that's why you spent the first-round
- 10:45draft pick on the rookie, is to have him come in and give you that juice in the
- 10:50run game, and not spend money on running back with K9, and, you know, enjoy that
- 10:56rookie contract, and still get, you know, as much production as you need out of him.
- 10:59Because again, it wasn't all Kenneth Walker last year.
- 11:02It wasn't…
- 11:03Like, say it with me, folks.
- 11:05Like, that's how everybody frames our running game last year is
- 11:09like, "Oh, well," like Collinsworth in the game, "Oh, they were just
- 11:11addicted to Ken Walker last year."
- 11:13And it's like, hmm, factually untrue, but okay.
- 11:16That, that's fine.
- 11:18I, I just don't see the glaring need to go out and trade for a back that then
- 11:22you would, again, have to pay, which we've seen John didn't wanna pay the last back.
- 11:26Plus Sharp's comes into a contract year next year as well.
- 11:29Like, it just doesn't make a ton of sense.
- 11:31I am a little sad for Super Bowl champion An- Anthony Bradford here.
- 11:34Clinton: Hmm.
- 11:35Brandan: Poor- Like- Poor one out for AB, because it- Yeah … it's
- 11:38a little bit unfair for him.
- 11:39Clinton: Let's talk about it, who we should be s- potentially sad for.
- 11:42Do you, do you think it's as cut and dry as-
- 11:45Brandan: Yes
- 11:46… Clinton: Okay, so then what?
- 11:47What's the, what, Zabel slides to right guard and- Mm-hmm … Nelson's- Yes
- 11:51… now your left guard, and that's that?
- 11:52Adam: Yes.
- 11:53Brandan: Yes.
- 11:54Clinton: You don't think there's any other possibilities on the board?
- 11:56Not a one.
- 11:56Adam: Well, I mean, they could slide- Any smart possibilities … Zabel.
- 11:59Yeah, they could slide Zabel to tackle, I guess.
- 12:01Like, or, or to center, which would be equally as, what are we doing?
- 12:04'cause I did see in the comments, like, there's other pundits that have,
- 12:08kind of bandied about the idea of Zabel going to center or- Is there a pundit
- 12:12Brandan: Nate Schutz?
- 12:13Clinton: No.
- 12:14And is it…
- 12:14Yeah, I, I'm kind of on the, the best five we possibly could put out there
- 12:19might, might be Zabel at center.
- 12:22Now, I know the disruption, I, I think Sundell's done, done a good job, and
- 12:25he's been smart and call, seemingly called things in a smart way, which
- 12:29centers need to quarterback that, right?
- 12:31So I-
- 12:31Adam: Yes
- 12:32Clinton: get, I get all that.
- 12:33I get the- You don't
- 12:34Adam: screw with that middle of
- 12:35Clinton: the season … probably not going to be screwed with.
- 12:38You don't do that.
- 12:38It's probably not, it's, you know.
- 12:39Yeah.
- 12:39But we have a bye week coming up as well, fairly soon, in a couple of weeks.
- 12:43I'm just saying, if they look at, like, who the best five dudes out there might
- 12:47be for this team- To me, there is a universe here, guys, where Zabel is
- 12:52snapping the ball after the bye week.
- 12:55Adam: I'd rather have Sundell on the field over Bradford every day of
- 12:57the week and three times on Sunday.
- 12:59Like, Yeah … that's not even a debate.
- 13:02Clinton: O- okay.
- 13:02Brandan: We're, we're picking the best five dudes, right?
- 13:04Like, have, have we-
- 13:06Clinton: Well, they're just different, they're
- 13:06Brandan: different, different dudes … swung so far of trying to convince people
- 13:08that Anthony Bradford is okay to where now Anthony Bradford is an a- is a, a Pro
- 13:14Bowler that we can't take off the field?
- 13:16No,
- 13:16Clinton: I don't think, I don't think it's that far.
- 13:18I, I think that's, being a bit hyperbolic there.
- 13:20I think he's probably on par with-
- 13:23Brandan: I like making straw Bradford arguments
- 13:25… Clinton: I, I just think that Bradford's probably on par with Sundell in terms
- 13:28of, of, like, quality of the old lineman.
- 13:32And they do things- Yeah
- 13:33very differently, right?
- 13:34Now, if you could move Zabel over- And,
- 13:36Brandan: and how is Zabel at snapping the football?
- 13:37How, how much, how much experience have we seen with him snapping
- 13:39the- He had a little in college.
- 13:40Clinton: A little bit.
- 13:41A little bit.
- 13:41You know- And he did, you know, he did it for pro days and stuff like that.
- 13:43So- like a game?
- 13:45I'm ch- again, I like to explore this and peek under the covers a little bit,
- 13:48and say I, I just would not be shocked if by the end of, again, out of the bye
- 13:52week, we have time to tinker with this, that they go, "Our best five includes
- 13:56Bradford still playing right guard."
- 13:58I, I don't…
- 13:58You know, let's see, because you're giving up…
- 14:01I mean, will you guys not admit that if we move Zabel to right guard, and Bradford's
- 14:05on the sidelines, we're giving up power.
- 14:07I mean, yes?
- 14:09Adam: No.
- 14:10Clinton: We're
- 14:10Adam: not giving up power?
- 14:11How is, how is Quenton Nelson, like, steps down in power from Anthony Bradford?
- 14:14Clinton: No, no, no, no, no.
- 14:15Zabel over to AB's spot.
- 14:17Adam: Right, right.
- 14:18But you s- so Zabel plays now.
- 14:20Of course.
- 14:20And then Zabel moves over here, and he still plays.
- 14:23So, like, same amount of power, because Zabel's is Zabel over here,
- 14:27and then he's still Zabel over there.
- 14:28So it's the same Zabel, right?
- 14:30Like, we all agree on that?
- 14:31He's always Zabel, but now we move him slightly field.
- 14:34And then you take Anthony Bradford off the field, and then you bring
- 14:34in Quenton Nelson, who is a better, more consistent all-around player,
- 14:39and plug him in Zabel's spot.
- 14:40That's a wash on the, on the power side.
- 14:44But you're making a big increase in the pass protection side of things.
- 14:49And look, I think there's a very interesting cue that tells us why
- 14:54the center thing, in my opinion, is unlikely to happen for Zabel.
- 14:59Christian Haynes gone.
- 15:01Brandan: Mm-hmm.
- 15:01Adam: They d- he, he threw him under the bus.
- 15:03Well, he did go to the practice
- 15:04Brandan: squad for the Raiders this past month.
- 15:06Adam: Sure.
- 15:06But he's been released, has he not?
- 15:08Yes.
- 15:09Okay.
- 15:09Well, there you go.
- 15:10I think Sa- or, John looked at the roster and looked at the rotation of
- 15:15Haynes and Stevens throughout the last few games and said, "We're not good
- 15:19enough in terms of depth at guard."
- 15:21So now the, your worst case scenario is one of these two guys go down, Zabel
- 15:25or Nelson, and then you have Anthony Bradford, who's slightly above league
- 15:29average at this point in his career.
- 15:31Where Quenton Nelson is an All-Pros All Pro, like fit him with the gold jacket.
- 15:36Like, that's who that player is.
- 15:38I, I think it's a slam dunk that you keep Sundell at center.
- 15:42It's just not something that you screw with.
- 15:44Plus, his ability to move and to climb to the next level is fantastic.
- 15:49And that's one of the big things that helps him Do well in the
- 15:53zone running scheme big time.
- 15:54Clinton: Yeah.
- 15:55Okay, I mean, sure, and I think so is, so I think Zabel could do…
- 15:58I think Zabel could be maybe even a better center, center than Sundell,
- 16:02I think, just because of the type of athlete- Because you want him to be.
- 16:06Well-
- 16:06Adam: Yeah, there's like z- zero evidence of that.
- 16:08Clinton: I don't.
- 16:09I just think, no, I think there's combines and a- and agility skills
- 16:13and, and what they, like it's- Yes … Zabel could be that.
- 16:15The Reese's
- 16:16Adam: Senior Bowl.
- 16:16Clinton: Well-
- 16:17Adam: That, that's what tells us everything
- 16:19Clinton: we need to know.
- 16:19I mean, you guys are being, you guys are-
- 16:20Adam: Seeing Sundell in the position-
- 16:21Clinton: You guys are shutting it down like it's not a possibility
- 16:23for years now, working with
- 16:24Brandan: Sam.
- 16:24It's a possibility.
- 16:25Working with Sam.
- 16:25It's, it's a possibility.
- 16:25For an entire Super Bowl run.
- 16:26Yeah.
- 16:26Like, why…
- 16:27This, the mo- I would hate this trade for Quenton Nelson if it
- 16:30means Zabel, if we're gonna trot out Zabel at guard mid-season, or
- 16:34Clinton: at center.
- 16:35No, I'm not saying at center.
- 16:35But what, but, but what if it's the best combination, guys?
- 16:38That, that's all I'm throwing out there.
- 16:40Adam: Then
- 16:40Clinton: find out next year.
- 16:41I mean, that's fine.
- 16:42You, you, you can potentially wait.
- 16:44I'm just suggesting, look, hey, when Bradford came back, did
- 16:46the run, did the run game not look suddenly better last week?
- 16:50Mm-hmm.
- 16:50It, it looked quite a bit better.
- 16:51We're gonna, we're gonna look at the
- 16:52Adam: Chiefs.
- 16:53Against the Chiefs.
- 16:53Mm-hmm.
- 16:53Do you think it's gonna look even better with Quenton Nelson?
- 16:56Clinton: Of course.
- 16:57Adam: Oh, well there we go.
- 16:58Clinton: Yeah.
- 16:59I mean, it's gonna look better w- but it, but it might be, might look best,
- 17:02it might look best with Zabel at center and Anthony Bradford at right guard.
- 17:06That might be the best combination.
- 17:08That's
- 17:08Brandan: my call.
- 17:08Anthony Bradford at center might be the best combination.
- 17:10Clinton: Oh, come on.
- 17:11He, he's
- 17:11Adam: too
- 17:11Brandan: tall.
- 17:13Adam: He's too tall.
- 17:14Clinton: Although I did like Oluwatimi pushing on the tush push.
- 17:17I like that combination, guys.
- 17:18I like that.
- 17:19I did like that this, this time.
- 17:20That, that was fun.
- 17:21All right.
- 17:21Well, look, that, we will see.
- 17:23I think the most likely outcome I think is you're correct.
- 17:26I don't think they'll mess with center because it's so darn important.
- 17:30I, but the way, where the bye week is is intriguing to me.
- 17:34Sure.
- 17:35That part is like where it lays, and it's like, okay, a couple of weeks in-
- 17:38since, you know, we get our new beef, and maybe a couple of weeks of Zabel getting
- 17:44some time under center in practice, you know, just getting a little acclimated.
- 17:48I just think there's a possibility.
- 17:50That's what I wanted to put out there, and I, I think it could be the best, best
- 17:53Brandan: timing.
- 17:53It's a possibility to think about so that I can hate it when it happens.
- 17:58Clinton: But what if it works brilliantly, right?
- 18:00That's the thing.
- 18:00It, it absolutely could work.
- 18:02All right.
- 18:02Well, how about b- getting back to the, the newly acquired Quenton?
- 18:05Brandan, and what should people know about him besides this guy's
- 18:10been good for a long, long time?
- 18:11What el- what else you got?
- 18:13Brandan: He's, he's really good.
- 18:14Like, do, do I, do I need more of this?
- 18:16Eight- Well- I, I…
- 18:17The interesting thing- Yeah … about Quenton Nelson, I see a lot of
- 18:20headlines calling him a Pro Bowl guard.
- 18:22Clinton: Yeah.
- 18:23Brandan: Why, why- It's true … don't we recognize his all-pro-ness-
- 18:26I don't know … at, at guard?
- 18:26Because that seems, more important.
- 18:29Clinton: Yeah.
- 18:30Multiple all-pros.
- 18:31One of the things I think is just at least neat for
- 18:33me is that he also played…
- 18:35He was Julian Love's teammate at Notre Dame, so I always
- 18:38love those kind of connections.
- 18:39So he comes back from ND, played, I think, I think they played
- 18:42two years together overlapping, which is, which is super sweet.
- 18:45Yeah.
- 18:46And Adam, for you, man, what, what, how about this?
- 18:49What kind of run…
- 18:51I know he does wide zone really, really well, but in this last game- Mm-hmm … we
- 18:54started to, we started to do more, some more power concepts, and we did
- 18:57a little bit less wide zone stuffy.
- 19:00Do you think it matters for Nelson, or is like it, it's just all
- 19:03good, whatever he wants to go do?
- 19:05Adam: Yeah.
- 19:06So when you trade for somebody who's maybe the best at his position for
- 19:10the past eight years, it turns out when you're best at your position, that
- 19:15you're able to kick ass whether you run duo or, you know, pin poles or, mid
- 19:20zone or outside zone or inside zone.
- 19:22It don't make no never mind.
- 19:23Quenton Nelson is a fricking samsquanch that goes in there and just mauls people.
- 19:28So like I don't think it really matters.
- 19:30And but kind of to your point of the run game last week and seeing a little bit
- 19:35more maybe of up the gut, more power- Yeah … type gap scheme sort of runs,
- 19:41I think that was specifically to try to make things work for Emanuel Wilson
- 19:45a little bit better My gut feel is when Sharps and Jadarian are back, that we're
- 19:52gonna see a shift all the way back to getting into the zone land of things.
- 19:57Because that is gonna marry up with the rest of Fleury's, idea of
- 20:02the way he wants to run the offense.
- 20:04Clinton: Okay.
- 20:04I, I, I could…
- 20:05W- time will tell.
- 20:06We'll see.
- 20:06We'll see what the, the composition looks like.
- 20:08I thought it was- This is just a
- 20:08Adam: guess.
- 20:09Clinton: Yeah … I know, for sure, and I thought it was nice
- 20:10that we put it on paper that we could do more of the power stuff.
- 20:13And it- Mm-hmm … and we'll look, we'll look at some of the, the runs,
- 20:16A little bit later in the tape, too.
- 20:18There was stuff there all day long.
- 20:19And, you know, again, Emanuel Wilson does 24 carries, gets us 100
- 20:24yards, gets the 21-yard touchdown to shut it out, shut the door.
- 20:28So he does the job, but we were also joking, you know, in the Discord
- 20:32during the game, and I coined him, like, E Minimum Wilson at one point.
- 20:36It's like, okay, you got four yards, but I know, I know other backs are
- 20:39gonna get explosives in that area, or at least eight yards, 10 yards.
- 20:43And I'm not trying to crap on our own guy, 'cause he's, he's done the job.
- 20:47And now he could hopefully just become, like, a really solid RB3 for
- 20:51us as, as we get our guys healthy.
- 20:53But we know if we have to go to him and, and make him a workhorse, he can do it.
- 20:56He just, just proved it last week, which is sweet.
- 20:59Brandan: Well, anything you- I'm gonna address this comment real quick.
- 21:00Please.
- 21:00Well, first, thanks to Dogzilla Monster for- Oh,
- 21:03thank you … the $2 Super Chat.
- 21:04And, can't see Adam's sk- the, the board's back there.
- 21:08Adam: Well, it's a…
- 21:09I, I don't know what my ski board is, I guess.
- 21:10Brandan: I don't know.
- 21:11I think that looks like, with the logo on it, it kind of looks like a ski board.
- 21:14Clinton: Yeah, like a snowboard.
- 21:15Adam: Oh, like a snowboard.
- 21:17Clinton: Yeah, yeah.
- 21:18Adam: I see.
- 21:19Okay.
- 21:20Brandan: RJ Taylor saying, "Gotta trade AB for another piece this year."
- 21:23I, I just wanna address this really quick, because if Quenton Nelson in a
- 21:27contract year gets you a third and a fifth rounder, like it did for the Colts- Mm
- 21:33what do you think the draft compensation is for Anthony Bradford in a contract
- 21:38year, who is not an eight-time Pro Bowler or a three-time All-Pro?
- 21:42I would, I would say that the best place for Anthony Bradford is as a backup guard.
- 21:51Clinton: I agree with that, by the…
- 21:52I think that's def…
- 21:53I- it's super important.
- 21:55Like, last year's Seahawks, we were a really, really deep team, and we
- 21:59lost a little bit of that depth this year, and that's kind of showing up
- 22:02on the edges so far, where, like, our three, our three dudes are still
- 22:06playing really good football, and then that fourth edge, it's like, wow, I
- 22:10didn't think we'd miss Boye that much.
- 22:12Now I'm like, "We kind of miss Boye."
- 22:14And by the way, Boye's having a nice year with the Bengals.
- 22:16And we j- you know, so that depth does matter, so I agree.
- 22:19I- if he is the dude to leave the field, which is most likely the
- 22:22outcome, just keep him as a backup.
- 22:24He's a, it's, he's a proven solid right guard backup.
- 22:28Cool Versus what?
- 22:31A 2028 sixth?
- 22:33Like, no
- 22:34Adam: You, you, you make the move to win this year, right?
- 22:38And what's a great way to hedge, to be sure that you're gonna be
- 22:42okay throughout this year with the league, with everybody going down
- 22:46with injuries all over the place?
- 22:48Keep the guy that you know can play- Yeah … and can help you win a Super Bowl.
- 22:51Because again, it's gonna be, like, to Brandan's point,
- 22:56the draft capital that you would receive for Bradford would be what?
- 23:00Like a, a 2028 sixth, which is the equivalent of a seventh?
- 23:05Like-
- 23:05Brandan: Yep.
- 23:06Probably.
- 23:06Well- Yeah
- 23:07… Adam: I, I'd- Note that- … rather have a cap- capable backup, you know?
- 23:11Clinton: 100%.
- 23:11I, I, I agree, and a dude who, a dude who clearly can start,
- 23:15because he has for, what, three, three-plus years now for us, so,
- 23:19Brandan: I- I do like the idea of getting three firsts for him, though, which,
- 23:23Jake Browning.
- 23:24Pretty cool.
- 23:24Yeah.
- 23:24Adam: Yeah.
- 23:24Clinton: Wow.
- 23:25I would
- 23:25Brandan: do it for that, for sure.
- 23:26Clinton: I mean, the Jets-
- 23:27Adam: A boy and his- … are out there somewhere, right?
- 23:28Clinton: That's funny.
- 23:29They are, they are.
- 23:30And, and the Colts are selling, so I don't think they- don't think
- 23:34they'll make that trade, as they did a couple of years ago.
- 23:36Well, I think- The
- 23:37Brandan: Commanders, though.
- 23:37The Commanders were…
- 23:39I know fans were into Quenton Nelson, the idea, and they were very upset that
- 23:44they did not get him for this price.
- 23:46Clinton: I think there's 31 teams that are upset they didn't
- 23:49get, get him for this price.
- 23:5030,
- 23:51Brandan: yeah.
- 23:51Adam: Yeah.
- 23:52This- Why 30?
- 23:53Is this, is this better than the Myles Garrett-
- 23:54Brandan: He's not the Colts, and we got him, so-
- 23:56Clinton: Oh, right
- 23:56he's the 30.
- 23:56Right, right.
- 23:57So we're not, we're not upset that we got him, right.
- 23:59Correct.
- 23:59Good math.
- 24:00Thank you.
- 24:01Adam: Is this better than the Myles Garrett deal?
- 24:04Like, when you think about the idea of, you know, the Rams giving
- 24:08up what they gave up to get him, and then the subsequent contract
- 24:12and all of that that they're gonna eventually be on the hook for.
- 24:15I mean, Brandan, you went through the, you know, what some of these guys
- 24:19would cost, when they are first brought in, and I can't imagine Nelson's
- 24:23gonna be an astronomical number.
- 24:25Obviously they can fit it under the cap.
- 24:26John knows what he's doing.
- 24:28But I just wonder, like, if this is gonna be a more impactful trade
- 24:32than Myles Garrett for this year.
- 24:35Brandan: Hmm.
- 24:36I think it has the potential, yeah.
- 24:38Because you would have to resign him, I think, for it to be comparable,
- 24:43and once we win a Super Bowl and the Rams flame out and don't make the
- 24:46playoffs, then it's already a win.
- 24:48Clinton: Oh, and also, you have to call it what it is.
- 24:52Myles Garrett has played as many snaps for the Rams almo- almost
- 24:56a few more than Quenton Nelson's played for the Seahawks so far.
- 24:59He didn't play a lot, guys.
- 25:01He's been hurt, and he's still hurt, and there's not really a timetable just yet
- 25:06from what I've seen that he's gonna get back in, in any, anytime too, too soon.
- 25:10He should be back, he should be back this year.
- 25:13We don't know that.
- 25:14He's…
- 25:14He had knee surgery.
- 25:15So I would say immediately this trade is better because we have
- 25:20to consider that Myles Garrett has had zero impact so far for the Rams
- 25:26Adam: Well, that's good to hear because that's kind of where I was at
- 25:28too in, especially just looking at it through the lens of just this year.
- 25:32I, I generally believe that this is gonna be very similar to the Shaheed trade
- 25:37last year where we go, "Dang, I can't believe John pulled that off right then,"
- 25:42and what a shot in the arm that gave this team, exactly where they needed it.
- 25:47This is, this is so freaking sweet.
- 25:50I am so stoked.
- 25:52Clinton: I, I got one more question about, about, Quenton for you guys, and, and
- 25:56then of course we have the hole, we have, everything still on the t- plates.
- 25:59If you're just joining us, we're gonna get into three in, three out.
- 26:02We've got the tape review.
- 26:03We got a lot of stuff queued up.
- 26:04It's a lot of fun.
- 26:05We have From the Flock queued up.
- 26:07The, my question, our game's Monday night, we get one extra day, obviously.
- 26:11I think we all expect Quenton Nelson to play, and I'll, Br-
- 26:15Adam, Adam, I'll go to you first.
- 26:17Is this like, hey, he plays the full, he's in.
- 26:19That's it.
- 26:20He p- plays- Yeah … full game.
- 26:22It's starting Monday.
- 26:23I mean, ramp and everything.
- 26:25Or is it he's in for certain packages?
- 26:27What do you think the…
- 26:29Is there, is there a ramp for a all-pro guard like this?
- 26:32Or no, no, you go play football, you know what you're doing?
- 26:34Adam: No, no, you know football.
- 26:36You know what you're doing.
- 26:38Yeah, make trade, play guy.
- 26:40That's, that's what we're doing here.
- 26:42And I, I'd be stunned if it was, oh, we gotta slowly work him in, and, you
- 26:47know, it's just so much different.
- 26:48I, I just, there's only so many different things that you're doing on
- 26:51the offensive line that, I mean, it's not like, it's not like having to, it's
- 26:57not like being a quarterback, right?
- 26:59And coming in and having to learn the full system.
- 27:01Like, you know, the, the basics of what the, the guy needs to do aren't gonna be
- 27:06all that different in really any scheme.
- 27:09Clinton: Mm-hmm.
- 27:10I, I, I agree.
- 27:11Again, I just wonder, Brandan, the coaching job that has to happen
- 27:15this week, the communications and, and is there simplification of the
- 27:18playbook, and is there anything that happens because of that?
- 27:22Like, is, how do you get…
- 27:24It is different language, right?
- 27:25He does all the things, he knows all the things, but he's gotta sit in a
- 27:29huddle and absorb a, what we've heard is a pretty complicated play call in
- 27:33Fleury's world, that it's a little bit more flowery, a little more language,
- 27:37and he's gotta go out there and get it all, and be, be straight with it.
- 27:40So do you, do you just expect him to be great, or do you expect a, a
- 27:44hiccup or two because it's tough?
- 27:47Brandan: I, I think he's a pro, and, speaking of pros, we got Godzirwa Hawk
- 27:52in with a $10 Super Chat for the beef.
- 27:54Beef.
- 27:55Welcome Quenton Nelson.
- 27:57Yes, a, a, a big welcome to Quenton Nelson.
- 28:00I think you have to put him in.
- 28:01I…
- 28:01He's, Well, I'll throw
- 28:02Clinton: you in.
- 28:03I'm just wondering if there's a little bit of crunchiness because-
- 28:05Brandan: Maybe you don't…
- 28:06What would you take out?
- 28:07Would you take out, what, like maybe pulling calls, where you're using him
- 28:11as a pulling guard, or, I, I think
- 28:13Clinton: just as long as- I don't think it's a skill thing, guys.
- 28:15I mean, he clearly, he's like the best
- 28:16Brandan: guard in the league.
- 28:16No, no, but as far as the c- if you're talking about simplifying it in terms
- 28:19of calls and not expecting, what difficult calls would you expect from
- 28:24him that would take him longer time to learn, within the playbook?
- 28:29I-
- 28:29Clinton: I don't know.
- 28:30That, that's what I'm poking at.
- 28:31I, I don't, I don't know if there's a language barrier
- 28:34that's gonna be there, or- Yeah
- 28:36certain techniques and certain duo things that we do, that he just
- 28:40is not used to the way we do them.
- 28:42And I'm, I'm, I think it'll be totally final play.
- 28:45I'm just wondering if, w- we'll see a couple of things that need to be
- 28:48buffered out, because, it just will take a little bit of time, and
- 28:52you can't just hop in in five days and be like 100% woven into a new
- 28:58offense with a new offensive line.
- 28:59That, that to me is like, I think that's a big expectation.
- 29:04Adam: I think that's the exact expectation.
- 29:07Like, listening to the O Line Committee quite a bit, their podcast,
- 29:10So you've got two former offensive linemen and Jeremiah Cyrils and Alex
- 29:14Boone, and, and their host as well.
- 29:17And, you know, they talk about line calls and all that sort of
- 29:20stuff, you know, quite a bit.
- 29:22You know what the difference is, is?
- 29:23Like, if they're gonna like slide right, instead of Ricky, it's, Renee.
- 29:28Like, they just, just start with R.
- 29:29Yeah.
- 29:30Like, they're so tricky.
- 29:30Instead
- 29:30Brandan: of blocking that guy, I'm blocking that guy.
- 29:33Adam: Yeah.
- 29:33Like, so the verbiage and all of that for offensive linemen, I don't
- 29:38think is really all that crazy.
- 29:40Plus it's not like he's rolling out of college in, into the league.
- 29:45Like, he's been in the league forever.
- 29:47Steichen doesn't exactly run like the world's simplest offense.
- 29:51So I'm- Mm-hmm … sure he's been around, a lot of different types of calls.
- 29:55I just don't think mentally that sort of load for this sort of player is gonna be
- 30:00anything that he can't lift quite easily.
- 30:03Clinton: Perfect.
- 30:03I wa- I wanted to get an answer from you guys on that too,
- 30:06because, and Adam, I know that you, you fancy that, the show.
- 30:09What's the show you just mentioned?
- 30:10The, the Line Committee?
- 30:12Adam: O-Line Committee.
- 30:13Clinton: The O-Line Committee.
- 30:13It's fantastic.
- 30:14You've been talking about, yeah, you've been talking about
- 30:15that for a long, long time.
- 30:15Yeah.
- 30:16And it's, it is a show dedicated to just O-linemen talking about O-line, and I
- 30:19know it's one of the ones you really like.
- 30:21Adam: Yeah.
- 30:21They talk the whole league and all sorts of stuff, but what's great about their
- 30:24pod is that you get so many little weird, like, little insights into, like, how the
- 30:29sidelines work, how the locker rooms work, you know, what conversations sound like.
- 30:34Hmm.
- 30:34Like they were talking about, the left tackle from Kansas City
- 30:38putting his feet up on the desk and, like, what that would be like.
- 30:41You know?
- 30:42And just like, when Andy Reid comes up to you and says, "Knock it off,"
- 30:45you're like, "But my hip third."
- 30:47Clinton: Hmm.
- 30:47Adam: Like, it, it just, it's hysterical.
- 30:49I- definitely check them out.
- 30:50They're a lot of fun.
- 30:51Clinton: Oh, that was…
- 30:52Is that what Simmons did, essentially?
- 30:53Is that why he got booted back to IR?
- 30:56Adam: Yeah.
- 30:57Clinton: Yeah.
- 30:57I, I heard- He was- … that it was something in a, in a meeting, and
- 31:02okay, so that's, that's what went down.
- 31:03He put his, put his legs up when he shouldn't have and kind of-
- 31:06Adam: Yeah … got booted out.
- 31:07And, and so Reid came over.
- 31:08He's like, "Put your feet down."
- 31:08He's like, "But my hips, my poor hips."
- 31:10And he's like, "Well, if your hips are a problem, go get treatment."
- 31:14And he just still sat there, and apparently Mahomes had to
- 31:16come over at some point and be like, "The, what are you doing?"
- 31:20You know?
- 31:20And, yeah.
- 31:22Clinton: It was, it was a precursor to their, to, to getting shredded by,
- 31:25by our Seattle Seahawks, which, which we're, we're, we're gonna get into.
- 31:29So, but very cool.
- 31:30I, I, but I asked too, because I figured, hey, if I'm thinking about it at least a
- 31:33little bit, and we got, you know, almost 200 people chilling with us right now.
- 31:37Someone's probably thinking like, "Okay, does that mean he gets spun up right away,
- 31:39and what difficulties might there be?"
- 31:41So I'm glad you, I'm glad you answered it, 'cause, you know,
- 31:44I think people- That's my
- 31:44Adam: guess.
- 31:45Clinton: Well, but you, you also fancy the O-line.
- 31:47You fancy line play, and you, and you do watch the pods where,
- 31:50where the, the big 'uns talk about that stuff, so I think it's cool.
- 31:55Oh, that's cool too, Brandan.
- 31:57What's that?
- 31:57Brandan: Nate Schutz, a member for 12 months, "What do you think the odds
- 32:01are for a trade at edge like Mack?"
- 32:04That would be the next logical part of the upgrade, right?
- 32:08If, if Fowler isn't working to the level that you hoped for at the
- 32:11start of the season signing him, that maybe you can find an edge piece
- 32:15that can, to fill in that spot.
- 32:17Because, yeah, with Charbonnet coming back, with Price coming back, upgrading
- 32:24running back doesn't seem to make as much sense unless you know that
- 32:28one of those guys is not gonna be, working out the way that you'd
- 32:32hope from the start of the season.
- 32:34But, yeah, the next…
- 32:36Really, what other spot would you go for, if not edge?
- 32:40Adam: Tight end.
- 32:42I'd go for tight end.
- 32:43With, with Arroyo going down and-
- 32:45Clinton: Okay, but why?
- 32:47Brandan: Maybe.
- 32:47Adam: But why?
- 32:48Because-
- 32:48Clinton: What,
- 32:49Adam: which, what, what- Because Saubert was asked- What type of tight end?
- 32:50… many times in this last game to go and make reach blocks, like, all over
- 32:54the place, and couldn't get there.
- 32:56Clinton: Okay, Arroyo's a blocker all of a sudden?
- 32:58Like, he
- 32:59Adam: doesn't- No, no, Arroyo's not a blocker.
- 33:00Okay.
- 33:00But Arroyo gone, like, you know, anyways, and I think you could probably find
- 33:05somebody out in the trade market that's an upgrade from Saubert and can block a
- 33:09little bit, and then maybe is a little bit more of a weapon in the pass game, too.
- 33:13As I started to get Barner involved in this last game a little bit.
- 33:16Mm-hmm.
- 33:16And, you know, I think that might, might help a little bit in terms of the offense.
- 33:20I'd be more interested in that than Edge, because I look at Fowler's
- 33:24production and, oh, yeah, look at that, it's just like Mafe's.
- 33:29Clinton: Is it?
- 33:30Mafe's year?
- 33:31Last year,
- 33:31Brandan: Mafe's last
- 33:31Clinton: year.
- 33:31Mafe, Ma- Yeah … but my, okay, I guess.
- 33:33Mafe's got four and a half sacks this year, and he's like-
- 33:35Adam: Yeah, that's this year.
- 33:36I'm talking about Mafe last year on this team- He's a starter with the Bengals
- 33:39… in that role of the fourth edge.
- 33:40Clinton: Yeah, but Mafe had, what, five sacks last year or so?
- 33:45Right, so- I don't
- 33:46Brandan: think it was
- 33:46Adam: that much … did he?
- 33:47Clinton: I don't think he got five.
- 33:47I don't know.
- 33:47Check, somebody tell me, please.
- 33:49I thought he had l- a few.
- 33:51Yeah, I joke a little bit.
- 33:52May- maybe he had a, a down year last year.
- 33:53Maybe the year before was when he, he'd had that run.
- 33:56But I think Mafe was, put more consistent pressure on the
- 33:59quarterback and played more snaps.
- 34:01That just, that might even be it, guys.
- 34:03Just like a, kind of a innings eater.
- 34:05Like, he just gave the other dudes maybe, maybe more rest, which
- 34:08gets them a little fresher if they don't have to play so much.
- 34:10'Cause Fowler's snap percentage is not very high.
- 34:14Brandan: Yeah, two
- 34:14Adam: sacks last year.
- 34:16And that's just in a lot of ways, but to your point, keeping guys
- 34:19fresh, I mean, that is important.
- 34:21So yeah, maybe.
- 34:22Yeah, if they did do a trade for Mack, would I be mad about it?
- 34:25Absolutely not.
- 34:26Like, you know, Khalil Mack's a, still a good edge-setting tight end.
- 34:30No, or a edge player, that's for sure.
- 34:33Clinton: Mm-hmm.
- 34:33I'm with you, Brandan, on that one.
- 34:35I would go, I would go edge and see if you can make an improvement there, and
- 34:39get, get a rotation piece that, and if it's Mack or somebody kind of exciting
- 34:44like that, that can bring that extra juice and, and has the propensity for
- 34:48making the big play, that could be cool.
- 34:50I think we, that little extra spark might be the type of dude
- 34:53who shows up in a big playoff game, and you're like, "Sweet," you know?
- 34:56And, maybe, I, oh, I don't know, guys, tackles Purdy from behind or forces
- 35:00Purdy to cal-, you know, throw another turdy, as they lose in the playoffs.
- 35:05That would be cool by me.
- 35:07All right, so anything else on our newly acquired, side of beef here?
- 35:12Because we know we're super excited about him, and we have
- 35:15the rest of the show to get to.
- 35:16But Brandan, from your perspective, anything else you're looking forward to?
- 35:19Brandan: I am looking forward to the rest of the season, gentlemen, as we
- 35:22go on a streak toward the playoffs.
- 35:24Clinton: Yeah.
- 35:24This is gonna be fun.
- 35:25This is…
- 35:26Great test right away, great test.
- 35:28Be- not, not even from the defensive side.
- 35:30Bears are what we have the rest of the week to talk about the Bears.
- 35:33Bears give up points.
- 35:35You could run on the Bears, you could pass on the Bears.
- 35:37They got some exciting playmakers back there, but you could run on the Bears,
- 35:41and, so I'm excited to discuss that.
- 35:43And I, I think, you know, we'll, we'll look at the Chiefs game now.
- 35:47We'll start to rotate over to the Bears.
- 35:49I think with the upgrade with Nelson, with the upgrade at running back, and the
- 35:54tape we're about to watch in some of these plays, Adam, for me, it's like, I think
- 35:58we're gonna have some nice opportunity to, dictate the game to the Chicago Bears.
- 36:03Adam: Oh, for sure.
- 36:05Defensively, the Bears are a dumpster fire.
- 36:06It's like them and the Lions, like, the, the, it's, it's really bad.
- 36:10Where that matchup gets interesting is the Bears rushing attack- Yes … and
- 36:14what they're able to do up the middle.
- 36:16But there's some stuff on this tape here, Clinton- Mm-hmm … that should
- 36:19give all of us, myself and you, dear listener, a little bit more
- 36:24confidence when we face off against, the stupid Bears next week.
- 36:29But my final thought on Quenton Nelson- Please … hell yeah, brother.
- 36:34This is awesome.
- 36:35That's it.
- 36:36I just- No … this is, this is just home run.
- 36:39Grand slam.
- 36:41Clinton: Yeah, man.
- 36:41Could not be happier.
- 36:42I was at my kitchen, like island table and working on some client stuff, and
- 36:47then I saw a text section from Mr.
- 36:49Phil in one of our threads, and I was like, "What?
- 36:51Serious?"
- 36:52And like, and yes, it, it was, it's such a coup.
- 36:56It's such a…
- 36:56It's, it's a stud.
- 36:58Absolute stud.
- 36:59So we're excited to welcome him to the PNW.
- 37:03And again, I love the fact that it was indicated that inside the
- 37:06building he was asking to come here.
- 37:09I think it just means so much.
- 37:10Interesting.
- 37:10Yeah.
- 37:11That he, that he had, you know…
- 37:12Like they're asking him 'cause he's a vet and he's put in, put in his eight
- 37:15years there, and he's an All-Pro.
- 37:18And his, if he had his druthers, this, m- what my understanding is,
- 37:23this is where he wanted to be, and that's super freaking cool, man.
- 37:27Super cool.
- 37:36All right, what else is super cool is that now we get to get to three and three out,
- 37:39and there was so much good in this tape.
- 37:42I had a sticky note.
- 37:43I lost the sticky note.
- 37:44When we do three and three out, there is only one rule.
- 37:47Adam, please help me remember.
- 37:48What is our one rule on our tape review show?
- 37:51Adam: When we take Patrick Mahomes and suffocate him and, make him a dead
- 37:56person at quarterback, that equals a win.
- 37:58And when you get a win, we start with ends, baby.
- 38:01We start with an end.
- 38:02Hit that whammy, Mr.
- 38:02Producer.
- 38:06Clinton: Setting the stage here, it is, we're starting early Q1, 10:02 to go,
- 38:11and it's a second and five, and we're, we're shotgun run against cover two.
- 38:17So we are starting right where we were talking about.
- 38:20Adam, what I want people to look at, and what hopefully, you know,
- 38:22you can dial up folks to is And the, the duo block out of the gate, and
- 38:27then Sundell to the second level.
- 38:29Sundell, the center, who was obviously not going anywhere.
- 38:33Sundell to the second level, but the duo block out of the gate, man, and look
- 38:37at the body movement we get right away.
- 38:40Now, all the Flockers that are with us, imagine Quenton Nelson also in this mix.
- 38:45So Adam, take it away, show them what you got, and let's discuss why this
- 38:49is a good, good run to focus on first.
- 38:51Adam: Yeah, this is super sweet, and, glad you picked this out early.
- 38:54So we're an 11 personnel.
- 38:55We got two rec- receivers to the top and, like, a little bit of a bunch.
- 38:58They bring Cooper Kupp in motion here, and, and then we've got the
- 39:02one tight end down here in Barner.
- 39:03And we're gonna try to keep this concise here, 'cause we got a ton of- Mm
- 39:06plays to go through, so just kinda pointing out cool stuff rather than
- 39:09getting into the super nitty-gritty of it.
- 39:10But watch our interior line here and how they work up, at the snap of the ball.
- 39:15So Kupp comes in motion, and we got, Sundell immediately working up to work
- 39:20with Bradford here and work on the double.
- 39:22He's just getting one arm and one shoulder in there to chip that lineman,
- 39:25try to get him pushed so he's more square up on Bradford so that he can
- 39:28then work up to the linebacker here.
- 39:30And then we've got a similar thing going on down here, below,
- 39:34where we got Zabel and Cross working on the defender right here.
- 39:38And, then they leave Barner singled up down at the bottom.
- 39:40But that's fine.
- 39:42Barner can hold up long enough down here against the end when you're
- 39:45just running straight up the gut.
- 39:46It's not like this is a long, developing play.
- 39:48Running from gun, I don't love that, but nice duo blocks here.
- 39:51Sundell, you can see, he gets that great release off to get up here.
- 39:55I think that's Bolton there.
- 39:57And, and then we've got a very, very typical Emanuel Wi- Wi- Wilson run-
- 40:03… where we just run as hard as we can.
- 40:05Boom, right into your own guy.
- 40:07Bam, right there.
- 40:07See?
- 40:08Like, it just smashes Sundell there.
- 40:10W- we don't wanna cut back and, like, go over here and get more yards.
- 40:13No.
- 40:13We wanna smash, smash dead into our own dude, and that's what happens there.
- 40:18But pretty neat.
- 40:19And we can see it really well from the second angle here.
- 40:20Clinton: Yeah, for sure.
- 40:21And the, the first angle's great, because you get to see the, the,
- 40:24the actual push, the depth we get.
- 40:26And then this angle, I think you see the technique a little bit better as well.
- 40:29So, run it through and, and, you know, talk about what you want.
- 40:32But you get the duo block to right there that you're circling.
- 40:35And if, if you replay it in your brain, the one before, they
- 40:38push, they push, that guy loses.
- 40:40I'm not sure who that tackle is.
- 40:41But he gets pushed back about three and a half yards.
- 40:43And when we start to think about, okay, when this is Jadarian Price, when this
- 40:47is Charbonnet, when you add Quenton Nelson, that's why I wanted to flag
- 40:52something that was like, "Hey, this is not, this i- this ain't outside zone.
- 40:55This ain't zone, period."
- 40:57This is running, running through the A and B gap, and, it looked
- 41:02pretty good to me on film, man.
- 41:03Adam: Yeah, you bet.
- 41:04And you know what?
- 41:05Maybe I owe Wilson a little bit of an apology here, 'cause right when
- 41:07he gets to here- Yeah, I was gonna…
- 41:09Yeah … I was saying I wanted him to cut off the back side, but
- 41:10Bolton's shading to that side there.
- 41:12And, so he does decide to try to get skinny there, which, for a
- 41:17man his size, good luck with that And, get through the, the gap there.
- 41:20But pretty cool play, and, nice to see, you know, kind of a traditional,
- 41:25Run up the middle here and, that duo stuff can be very powerful.
- 41:30Clinton: We got a amazing super chat right
- 41:32now from the one and only Mookie Alexander
- 41:34of Field Goals and- Hey, what up,
- 41:35Adam: Mookie?
- 41:36Clinton: Mookie's an awesome dude.
- 41:38Fi- and a great…
- 41:38He just, when he's on with us, I absolutely love it.
- 41:40The dude, the dude knows his stuff, and he just has-
- 41:42Adam: I've missed him the last two times, and it bums me
- 41:44Clinton: out Yeah, we got…
- 41:45So Mookie, we gotta get you back on ASAP.
- 41:47And you have a calming presence about you.
- 41:49It's just, you're a cool dude.
- 41:50But a $5 super chat saying, "In a just world, Quenton Nelson can close
- 41:54the book on the pain that was letting Steve Hutchinson walk in free agency."
- 41:59We all remember the poison pill.
- 42:01He goes off to Minnesota and basically has a second half of his career,
- 42:06maybe even two-thirds of his career, in what became a Hall of Fame career.
- 42:10So, agree, maybe this could be, like, the next third of Quenton Nelson's career.
- 42:15Next four to five years he could just pile on and bookend what
- 42:19will be his Hall of Fame career.
- 42:20So love that from Mookie.
- 42:21What else we got here, Adam, on screen?
- 42:23Adam: All right.
- 42:24Well, we were getting onto the next play, so, but I,
- 42:26Clinton: I, I got there- Oh, yeah, that's what happened
- 42:27I got there before the
- 42:28Adam: whammy.
- 42:28Clinton: Another super chat got us here, man.
- 42:30Did, did you see Peter Go Hawks?
- 42:324.99
- 42:33saying, "Do you guys think Zabel should move to center?"
- 42:35Oh, I don't know, Peter.
- 42:36Yes, and surround him with four giants to protect Sam and improve the run game.
- 42:41Or does he go to right guard?
- 42:43Go Hawks.
- 42:43Peter, you might have…
- 42:44Thank you, A, first of all.
- 42:46Really appreciate that.
- 42:47If you're joining us now, or you're maybe f- behind a little bit in the, in
- 42:53the broadcast, we spent about five or 10 minutes on that about 10 minutes ago.
- 42:57So there's differing opinions.
- 42:59I think it's a possibility, and the best, the best five might be
- 43:03with, with, Zabel at center.
- 43:06And the other guys, made fun of me.
- 43:08It's what, it's basi- gonna boil down…
- 43:09They, they, they think you don't screw with the center position,
- 43:12which I totally understand.
- 43:14Totally understand, so.
- 43:15All right.
- 43:15Let us get to- Yeah,
- 43:17Adam: dumb-dumb.
- 43:18Jeez.
- 43:18I didn't think we made fun of you.
- 43:20We were just saying, like,
- 43:21Clinton: you know- I just- Oh, no, 100%, yeah, yeah
- 43:22look, I can, I can tell you that I'm, I'm very, very sad and scared,
- 43:26but I also love Quenton Nelson.
- 43:27I love you guys.
- 43:28All right, let's do another whammy before we get there,
- 43:29'cause we can't not do the whammy.
- 43:31Come on.
- 43:32All right In number two, Q1, 4:37 to go.
- 43:38It's a 0-0 ballgame, and, this is not gonna be a highlight
- 43:44a- others are gonna show.
- 43:45But I wanna show this because this is what happens.
- 43:49The whole point for me is, like, whether it's Tyrice Knight, whether
- 43:52it's Drake Thomas, might call this guy TFL Tyrice because we're calling
- 43:56Drake- … you know, TFL Thomas.
- 43:59And it…
- 43:59The more…
- 44:01A, those dudes to me are pretty interchangeable.
- 44:03They just, like, have variants of what they're both good at, but
- 44:06they're both really good linebackers.
- 44:09And the more and more I watch the Seahawks, I go, "Well, so much of it,
- 44:12Adam, is it's gap integrity first."
- 44:15So linebackers could go be smart, clean, make a sound decision, and
- 44:19tackle with, with, with violence.
- 44:23And I think we're about to see that.
- 44:24So let's roll the tape on what we're gonna see from Tyrice and the gap integrity,
- 44:28'cause that sounds like a fun Motown band.
- 44:30Adam: Yeah.
- 44:31That would be a great, Motown band.
- 44:33What would their smash hit be?
- 44:35Like, you know, it, it never shuts?
- 44:38Like, you know, because it's gap integrity.
- 44:39I
- 44:40Clinton: like that.
- 44:40I like-
- 44:40Adam: I don't know.
- 44:41Yeah.
- 44:41Clinton: Why not?
- 44:42Adam: Hard to say.
- 44:42But anyways, we got the Chiefs here.
- 44:44They're…
- 44:44They've got two tight ends here down at the bottom of the screen.
- 44:47They run Worthy out to the top.
- 44:48And then we have Mr.
- 44:50Kenneth Walker.
- 44:50I don't know if you guys heard, Super Bowl MVP.
- 44:52He didn't come back here last year.
- 44:53I don't know.
- 44:54It was- Yeah, something- … kind of a story.
- 44:55Clinton: Yeah,
- 44:55Adam: it was…
- 44:55Mm-hmm.
- 44:55But to your point, guys, watch our g- watch our boys up front here.
- 45:00They actually show a five-man front with Emmanwori
- 45:02up at, in the top here.
- 45:04But you talk about gap integrity, and that's really what they're
- 45:08kinda speaking to when they say everybody's playing on a string.
- 45:11Mm-hmm.
- 45:11Meaning you don't deviate from your job.
- 45:13Do your job, and that way it's gonna leave somebody like Mr.
- 45:17Knight here to be able to come and clean up the mess.
- 45:20So we see them get into position.
- 45:22Handoff to K9, and, They're just gonna run it.
- 45:27Looks like they're kinda targeting the, the B and C gap here.
- 45:31And Leo does a great job right out of the gate here.
- 45:33Mm-hmm.
- 45:33As we look at Leo, he's gonna kinda two-gap this, and Kenneth is trying
- 45:37to read which way he wants to go here i, in this gap or this gap.
- 45:41And Leo just, you know, kinda gives the, the lineman there the long arm.
- 45:45And, that, that just kinda makes it so Ken doesn't know exactly
- 45:49where to go right out of the gate, but he decides to go outside.
- 45:52But he can't go too far outside, Clinton, because here's our
- 45:55boy Derick Hall right down here.
- 45:57Yep.
- 45:57Well, how's he doing out there?
- 45:58Like, wait, wait, I know this isn't, like, something you look at and be
- 46:01like, "Oh my gosh, what a dominant win," but, like, why is that important?
- 46:05Clinton: Well, you just, you're not, you're not bouncing it.
- 46:08Like, sh, that, Kenneth Walker loves to bounce the ball outside when he can
- 46:11because he's, eh, he's incredible with that stuff and the twitchiness, and he,
- 46:15he has clearly the speed to get to the edge and then, and then get explosives.
- 46:19You, you can't when, when Hall…
- 46:22He's pretty committed out there, but that would be a problem
- 46:25if Leo didn't do what Leo did.
- 46:27That's right.
- 46:28So i- as an orchestration, K9 got nowhere to go.
- 46:32Adam: Zero places to go as Hall sets the edge.
- 46:35And look, that's the number one reason why Derick Hall got paid.
- 46:39He is a fantastic edge setter, and I don't care what anybody says, being able to do
- 46:44that on the consistent basis, not falling backwards, but setting the edge so, like,
- 46:48an electric back like K9 can't get to the outside, is worth more than sacks in my
- 46:53opinion.
- 46:54Clinton: Mm.
- 46:54Mm.
- 46:54Adam: It, it is such a huge, huge deal.
- 46:56It's number one.
- 46:56Clinton: But, but you know, you're not, you ain't crazy.
- 46:59That's why we could win without, without the Myles Garrett, without the T.J.
- 47:02Watt, without the 17 sack guy.
- 47:04And w- it clearly, what, what Mike Macdonald says is, like, "Hey,
- 47:09that's number one as an edge guy."
- 47:11Like, you need to be able to do that first.
- 47:14And, you know, three of our four guys absolutely can.
- 47:17I'm not trying to poo-poo on Fowler.
- 47:19He doesn't get a lot of snaps anyway, and he's supposed to
- 47:21be a s- a pass rush specialist.
- 47:22But back to the good stuff.
- 47:23Adam: All right.
- 47:23Back to the good stuff.
- 47:24So we see, to kinda just put a fine point on, what, Big Cat does
- 47:29here, you can see he kinda shades to this side, then he makes Ken Walker, like,
- 47:32try to bounce back inside, and- Mm-hmm
- 47:34that's exactly what you want from a back like that.
- 47:37Because what happens here is Tyrice Knight's reading this, and he sees
- 47:42where Ken's going, and he knows his responsibility's gonna be to
- 47:44take whichever gap that Leo decides that, he's not gonna take.
- 47:49And what they try to do is they try to seek this tight end out right here to come
- 47:53out and get a block on Tyrice Knight.
- 47:55But as you can see as we go forward here, he just kinda goes out to a spot.
- 47:59And, like, i- instead of, like, crashing down on Tyrice Knight, which
- 48:04gives Tyrice Knight a little bit of time to shoot that gap, and you can
- 48:07watch him get right in there and wham.
- 48:10Smokes Ken Walker.
- 48:12Looks like it's a loss of at least one if not two, and then you got
- 48:16Ernest Jones there cleaning it up.
- 48:18And, you know, what allows him to stay clean as well is Jarran
- 48:22Reed here right in the middle.
- 48:24He soaks up two blockers, and he does his job here.
- 48:27Like, he holds up very well.
- 48:28Yeah.
- 48:29Clinton: And this was all game.
- 48:30You know, the…
- 48:30We're, we're picking out one and, you know, sometimes you can nitpick and
- 48:34be like, "Oh, you picked something that was, you know, that's
- 48:36not how it was all the time."
- 48:38This was, like, literally all the time, and that's why the
- 48:41Kansas City Chiefs could not…
- 48:43They didn't get to the red zone.
- 48:44I know we all know that by now, but that's incredible.
- 48:46When you have Pat Mahomes and K9, and yes, they have a very depleted
- 48:50wide receiver room, we understand that All those, all those things
- 48:54being said, they didn't get to the red zone once, Adam, which is insane.
- 48:57But this is a big reason, because the, the run D is just so stout,
- 49:02and it's one of the reasons I'm so excited for Monday night.
- 49:04Because look, the Ben J- Johnson offense, it is different than the Chief's offense.
- 49:09It's better.
- 49:09It's markedly better, and they run the ball effectively with two good
- 49:15backs if M- if Monangai is back.
- 49:17It's gonna be the str- biggest test of the year for this run D.
- 49:19I, I'm, I'm, I'm here for it.
- 49:20So we got this other angle here as well, but again, you pointed out
- 49:24already, it's even easier to see here.
- 49:26Yeah, I mean, Derick's getting a little bit tossed, but he beats, he beats
- 49:29the tackle to the edge, so he get…
- 49:30He can't bounce it outside.
- 49:32I really think you pointed out well that between Leo and, between Leo and
- 49:36Reed, it just gives a lane for Tyrice to pick where he's gonna go, fire, and
- 49:42basically go get a, go get a one-yard TFL.
- 49:44So just good work.
- 49:45And even on the right edge there, too, Emmanwori is driving his dude.
- 49:50Look where he's driving his guy.
- 49:51They're all winning.
- 49:52They're at least all on par.
- 49:54Did their, did their job or they won.
- 49:56And when you get that, you, you get TFLs, man, whether it's
- 50:00Drake, whether it's Tyrice.
- 50:02I saw a comment, flew in earlier saying, "We gotta
- 50:05replace Drake with Tyrice."
- 50:06I, I don't know that that's true.
- 50:10I, I guess I'm more like, I'm not sure there's a big difference.
- 50:14I think they're both really good linebackers, and with EJ and those two
- 50:19dudes, we have incredible linebacker depth that frankly most of the league, they
- 50:24know E- they know Ernest Jones by now.
- 50:26Most of the league knows, most will know Ernest Jones.
- 50:29Most of the league, random, you know, fans, they still don't know Drake Thomas.
- 50:33They don't know Tyrice Knight.
- 50:34Which, you know what I say to that, Adam?
- 50:35Good.
- 50:36Brandan: Yeah.
- 50:37Clinton: Fine.
- 50:37You know, come in under assuming our linebacker play, and every
- 50:42single week they're gonna show up like Tyrice does on this play.
- 50:45Adam: Absolutely.
- 50:45And one last thing on this Emmanwori rep right here.
- 50:48Watch him just collapse Travis Kelce
- 50:50Clinton: down
- 50:50Adam: here.
- 50:50Yeah.
- 50:51Just, I mean, he mushes him back down inside, sheds the block, and he's right
- 50:55there to help out as well at the very end, and they swarmed really well.
- 50:58But keep that in mind, this Emmanwori on Kelce thing, because there
- 51:03is some crybaby ass stuff that Travis Kelce pulls later on in this game.
- 51:08Clinton: All right.
- 51:08Well, look, we have almost 500 people with us right now.
- 51:11Oh, cool.
- 51:11So far, I just checked, we got 38 likes.
- 51:13Folks, let's get that up to 112 right away.
- 51:16So if you're watching this on YouTube right now live, it costs you
- 51:19nothing, but it tells the algorithm gods that this is good content
- 51:23and you want other 12s to see it.
- 51:24So raise the Hawk Gra, hit that like.
- 51:27We're at 38.
- 51:27I'm gonna keep track.
- 51:28Let's get that above 100 pretty quick.
- 51:30We have more ins and, a lot more ins.
- 51:33Let's get to another one right now.
- 51:35And Mr.
- 51:35Producer, do the thing.
- 51:39So in number three, we're calling this one Hall Pass?
- 51:43Not so fast.
- 51:45You mentioned Derick Hall just earlier, Q1 159.
- 51:49Hall had a remarkably good game.
- 51:51We saw some of the stats from Sumr Sports.
- 51:53Hall might have been the best defender on the field, and that says
- 51:57a lot because even Ware and Spoon and others were magnificent all day long.
- 52:01So Adam, what are we gonna see here when we're looking at, looking for and
- 52:04looking at, Derick Hall doing his job?
- 52:07Adam: You betcha.
- 52:07And we're gonna try to, again, just get through these,
- 52:10Yeah … a little more quickly because- Yes … we got a ton here.
- 52:13So Chiefs start 11 personnel, two receivers at the top of your screen,
- 52:15one, in a condensed formation at the bottom of your screen.
- 52:19Travis Kelce is attached to the line down here, and one back next
- 52:23to Mahomes on his left-hand side.
- 52:24We've got Derick Hall here as they're gonna throw the football, and he
- 52:27is going to absolutely, get by 73 here, their backup right tackle.
- 52:34And one of the things- Like he, the left tackle or the right tackle here,
- 52:40for whatever reason, he decides to kind of help on Leo right out of the gate.
- 52:43Mm-hmm.
- 52:43And that makes him a smidge late, and Derick Hall absolutely
- 52:47takes advantage of that.
- 52:47You can see right here, it's over.
- 52:49It, it's over.
- 52:50And at that point, you know, Hawks here, looks like they're kind of in
- 52:54a matchy zone of some kind, and, everybody's covered up across the board.
- 52:58Like there's nothing, nothing going here, and Derick Hall barreling down on Mahomes,
- 53:03and Mahomes just says, "You know what?
- 53:05I'm gonna throw it to the void, the mist."
- 53:08Mm-hmm.
- 53:08Right over here.
- 53:09Incomplete.
- 53:10Great rep by Derick Hall.
- 53:12He sped up the clock for Mahomes and forced them as an incomplete pass.
- 53:16Once they got across midfield here, which they did all day, once they got
- 53:19across midfield, the clamps came on.
- 53:21Clinton: Yeah.
- 53:21Yeah, it was…
- 53:22They would, they would get to the 40.
- 53:23They would…
- 53:23They literally dink, dink and dunked their way from like their 30 to sometimes
- 53:28the Seahawks 30, or the 40 or the 42.
- 53:31And then, and then one of my observations about the game was that, like, we weren't
- 53:37derailed by mistakes, which happens, which happened to us earlier this year.
- 53:40Like, we would take a procedural penalty and then, you know, do a give up play
- 53:44or just not convert on third down.
- 53:46That wasn't the case this game, man.
- 53:48We like…
- 53:48We d- we weren't super clean.
- 53:50We had our procedurals.
- 53:51We had some other stuff.
- 53:52We had like some, hey, a first down run that's a negative two.
- 53:55We saw that stuff.
- 53:57But man, obviously we were really, really crisp on third down, which
- 54:00I don't always wanna count on.
- 54:02You know, it's like you're not always gonna be that good on third down.
- 54:04It's kind of a dangerous way to play.
- 54:05But the r- exact opposite was happening for the Chiefs.
- 54:09When they got disrupted, which we see, Mahomes getting blasted right there.
- 54:13He's cleated,
- 54:14Adam: man.
- 54:14Blasted.
- 54:14Like he's off his feet
- 54:15Clinton: right here.
- 54:16Yeah.
- 54:16We saw Mahomes' face, right?
- 54:17They, they made a big thing of it.
- 54:19You guys talked about it, talked about the, at the,
- 54:21Adam: Yeah
- 54:22Clinton: the post-game show where, where Garen sent that in.
- 54:25De-cleated is…
- 54:26It was a thing of beauty.
- 54:27So, all right, we have a lot more to get to.
- 54:29So, r- real quick, I do wanna recognize that our guy, Mark, comes
- 54:33back in and says, "For the acapella whammy," because… we, we may
- 54:36have lost our producer for a little bit.
- 54:37That's a-okay.
- 54:38We got more ins to get to.
- 54:40There might be an out, stick around, but we have a lot more ins, so
- 54:43let's get to one, right now.
- 54:45So let's do that.
- 54:46Boom, boom, ba-bum-bum bum.
- 54:48Ba-dum-bum.
- 54:49Da-dum-bum, bum, hey-bum.
- 54:50Thank you for the five star rating, chat.
- 54:51God, we're so good
- 54:51Adam: at
- 54:52Clinton: this.
- 54:52Yeah, we're really, really good at this.
- 54:54All right.
- 54:54So speaking of good, in number four I call this you go now.
- 54:59You go now.
- 55:00So it is Q2, 14:28 to go.
- 55:03Again, this to me, this is, this is our O-line.
- 55:08You know, this is like, this is your brain, this is your brain on drugs.
- 55:11This is our O-line without Quenton Nelson, so please try to remember what
- 55:15happens when we get Quenton Nelson back.
- 55:17But we got the ball here, and I just wanted to highlight that we
- 55:20were m- moving bodies all game long.
- 55:23So picture yourself on a boat on a river, and with marmalade skies,
- 55:27imagine it being Jadarian and Price with this, with this carry or, or
- 55:32a healthy Sharps with this carry.
- 55:33Adam, please take it away, brother.
- 55:35I'll put it on screen here
- 55:37Adam: All right, so here we go.
- 55:38We got the Seahawks here.
- 55:40They're in 12 personnel, meaning two p- tight ends that are
- 55:42attached to the line at the top.
- 55:43We got our two receivers down at the bottom in Shaheed and Kupp in
- 55:46a condensed split, and then we have a single setback in Wilson,
- 55:49with Sam Darnold under, center.
- 55:52And you can see the Chiefs have started to walk up their safeties as well.
- 55:55And, they- they've got what?
- 55:57One, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight in the box, if you wanna
- 56:01count the other corner that's in there just because the split's condensed.
- 56:04But, you know, they're- they're- they can run all day long.
- 56:08This is just will over will.
- 56:10And watch our boys up front- Mm-hmm … to your point, Clinton, especially
- 56:12the left side of the line here, as they actually just smush people.
- 56:17Yeah.
- 56:18Like, that is…
- 56:20Clinton: I mean, these guys-
- 56:21Adam: Five
- 56:21Clinton: yards.
- 56:22Adam: Yeah, dude.
- 56:23Th- this is a good defensive front in the Chiefs.
- 56:25They are no freaking joke.
- 56:27But, yeah, look at this.
- 56:28I mean, they're gonna fire from the 32 here, it looks like, and by the time
- 56:32the back hits the hole, they're already up, you know, to the 35 and beyond-
- 56:37Clinton: Mm-hmm
- 56:37… Adam: like, at this point.
- 56:38And it's everybody across the board.
- 56:40Cross looking strong, Zabs looking strong.
- 56:43Then you got, you know, backup Anthony Bradford, looking strong here.
- 56:47Th- just a fantastic push up front in this, power scheme, and
- 56:52then Emanuel Wilson takes it right up the gut, and then, runs into
- 56:55the back people and gets stripped.
- 56:57So.
- 56:57Clinton: He does, he does the thing.
- 56:59Adam: Yeah.
- 56:59Clinton: It- it's great displacement.
- 57:01It- it's as good as it gets, and again, it's- it's more of a power game that
- 57:04we're showing here, and- It's like
- 57:06Adam: inside zone here.
- 57:07Clinton: Yeah, l- Yeah … like, yes, and but not a stretch, not the stretch or
- 57:11the wide zone stuff, I guess, is a- Yeah … is a cleaner way for me to say that.
- 57:14And I think we saw enough of this, enough success, that, yes, it might
- 57:19have been, because it caters to, the, the personnel we had
- 57:23running the football, and it does.
- 57:25I just don't think it's gonna go away.
- 57:26Now, of course, we run everything.
- 57:29I just think, like, we're having success with this.
- 57:31It's on film.
- 57:32And, and you said, man, the Chiefs are…
- 57:34They're…
- 57:34This is a good defensive front, and Spagnuolo is a what?
- 57:38A top three defensive coordinator.
- 57:40Like, he is legit- Yeah … legit, and we're displacing bodies.
- 57:43And again, it's only gonna get better because we just got,
- 57:46we just got that beef in town.
- 57:47What else you seeing from this angle?
- 57:48Adam: Oh, just, just the sheer domination here.
- 57:52And yeah, I mean, this is definitely some sort of zone.
- 57:54And you can kinda tell that as they all step in unison to
- 57:56the, to their right-hand side-
- 57:58Clinton: Mm-hmm
- 57:59… Adam: and run their feet.
- 58:00And, you know, Zabel tries to cross face to Chris Jones here.
- 58:04He does get to that, and he gets to Bolton.
- 58:06That's pretty cool right here, as you watch that.
- 58:09And then, Cross does a good job of then picking up Jones at that point.
- 58:13This is just how it's done, son.
- 58:14Clinton: Yeah, it is just how it's done, son.
- 58:17Good stuff.
- 58:17All right, let's move on.
- 58:18We got 567 people hanging with us live.
- 58:21We have 54 likes, so in honor of Bobby Wagner.
- 58:23That's super cool.
- 58:24Let's get that to 99 in honor of Leo Williams.
- 58:28We're gonna do a back-to-back special here.
- 58:30Adam, I know there's one that you wanna slide in and a- damn, because not only
- 58:35when we win do we get it, we get to start with an N, we also, we add some
- 58:40sprinkles on top and cherries on top because winning is better than losing.
- 58:43So Adam, you wanna talk about a particular player who was all over the field.
- 58:46Hit that whammy, Mr.
- 58:47Producer
- 58:51Okay, so this is gonna be in kind of five and six.
- 58:55And before we go into the play that's, the timestamp on screen, we are
- 58:58calling it Everywhere Emmanwori.
- 59:01You wanna talk about Eman, a play before a play, which I love because,
- 59:05We stack plays that way.
- 59:07Adam: You betcha.
- 59:08And it was also when you sent the timestamp for the subsequent play that
- 59:11we're gonna do after this one, I was looking through the tape and
- 59:15obviously watched the snap right before it, and I was like, I mean, if we're
- 59:18talking about Emmanwori, let's talk about these back-to-back plays from
- 59:22the league's number one super freak.
- 59:24And this is, this is outrageous what he does here.
- 59:28This is, Emmanwori out here, and, they're gonna actually have
- 59:32a, a stretch play out to the, to the opposite side of the field from him.
- 59:36And watch Emmanwori.
- 59:39He comes up and he shows, shows blitz.
- 59:41He comes, and so he's already…
- 59:44He starts to go towards the backfield, right?
- 59:47Mm-hmm.
- 59:47Like, he actually moves back this way.
- 59:49He's gonna loop back around and run down Kenneth Walker, who's the greatest
- 59:52running back ever, running back, or so that I heard, during this broadcast.
- 59:57Clinton: He's good.
- 59:57He's good.
- 59:58I mean, Kenneth
- 59:59Adam: Walker's- He's awesome … a damn good running back.
- 1:00:00I love Ken Walker.
- 1:00:00Yeah.
- 1:00:01But I, I got a little tired of it, and so we're gonna make fun of it.
- 1:00:04But watch Emmanwori sort through the trash and the speed
- 1:00:08to run down Ken Walker here.
- 1:00:10Bang.
- 1:00:11That's outrageous.
- 1:00:13That's outrageous.
- 1:00:14He starts from the other hash
- 1:00:16Clinton: Mm-hmm, and he's cutting through traffic.
- 1:00:18And he makes that- And saves the first down
- 1:00:19he makes that decision to be like, it's kind of like a, a, like a 1980s
- 1:00:24chase scene where the one, one kid's like, "I'm gonna go through the
- 1:00:26backyard and hit the trampoline, because I, I could get there faster.
- 1:00:30I…
- 1:00:30And I'm the only one who could do that, because I'm as skilled as this."
- 1:00:33But his ability to, A, decide that's actually my path, cut
- 1:00:37through all that traffic.
- 1:00:38And then the tackle itself, Adam, w- when you get to that point, man.
- 1:00:42Yeah.
- 1:00:42The tackle is incredibly athletic.
- 1:00:45Wow.
- 1:00:46He is full Superman mode launching at his hips, and hits him square in the hips
- 1:00:51with his, with his helmet to the side.
- 1:00:53It is unbelievably well done.
- 1:00:56Adam: It was…
- 1:00:56It's just outrageous.
- 1:00:58It's outrageous.
- 1:00:59I mean, when he leaves his feet here, it's like the explosion.
- 1:01:02Clinton: Yeah,
- 1:01:03Adam: exactly.
- 1:01:03Bang.
- 1:01:04I just…
- 1:01:05It's, it's, unbelievable, and so that's why I wanted to throw that in there
- 1:01:07as we got to our next play here, Clinton.
- 1:01:09Mm-hmm.
- 1:01:10Let's do it.
- 1:01:10Which features more.
- 1:01:11And again, this is back to back play.
- 1:01:12This is why this guy's special.
- 1:01:14Clinton: Yeah, yeah.
- 1:01:15So you picked that one, c- some of the special athleticism, and the
- 1:01:18recognition, and the one that we, we run into, folks will remember,
- 1:01:22remember it when we show it.
- 1:01:24This is a, like, little inside tunnel screen type thing, if,
- 1:01:27If my memory's correct.
- 1:01:29And again, it's the recognition of he notices what's happening, and then just
- 1:01:34does something that most people just don't have the talent to go do in real time.
- 1:01:37And I was, I was super impressed, so please take it away.
- 1:01:40Adam: You betcha.
- 1:01:40Okay, so we're just gonna focus on Nick here.
- 1:01:42He's, back up here on the, you know, close to the line of scrimmage,
- 1:01:46kind of be in that nickel edge, hybrid, call him whatever you want,
- 1:01:51good luck figuring it out offense.
- 1:01:52And they're actually gonna…
- 1:01:54Pat's gonna boot out here a little bit, and they're gonna try to get a little
- 1:01:57pass here to Ken Walker as he slips out, along with the tight end.
- 1:02:01And Emmanwori, he is not fooled by these multiple releases.
- 1:02:05So they bring the tight end in motion here to the end, and,
- 1:02:09they, they send Kelce out, and then they do this thing where they
- 1:02:13kind of, like, delay the tight ends.
- 1:02:14They did a lot of this, Mm-hmm … throughout the game.
- 1:02:17But you see Ken Walker moving out in the, in the pattern.
- 1:02:20And, As Mahomes goes to throw, you can see Nick's e- eyes.
- 1:02:26He's looking back at, at Mahomes here, and the second he sees he's about ready
- 1:02:30to throw, he knows where he's going, flips his hips, turns a- almost a full, like,
- 1:02:34360, whoop, turn around, breaks it up.
- 1:02:38Fantastic play.
- 1:02:40Cool from that angle.
- 1:02:41You know what's cooler?
- 1:02:42Seeing it from the other angle.
- 1:02:43Yeah.
- 1:02:44It's even better here.
- 1:02:45So let's go watching again out here.
- 1:02:46This is sweet, man.
- 1:02:48Clinton: The decision to turn, turn his back and then, you know, basically almost
- 1:02:52like an outfielder would be tracking down a f- a, a ball that way over his
- 1:02:55other shoulder, recognizing where it is.
- 1:02:57Just, just the sense to say, you know, I think what's triggering in his brain
- 1:03:02is obviously he's an incredible athlete, but it's just, hey, my best bet at
- 1:03:06disruption is to get t- you know, I think I know where the lane he's passing it is.
- 1:03:10So he's taking a risk.
- 1:03:11That might not be where the ball's going.
- 1:03:13He might be abandoning a player that, you know, he maybe was supposed
- 1:03:16to cover, et cetera, et cetera.
- 1:03:18But he's j- he's right.
- 1:03:19He just gets in the way of this lane that Mahomes as a quarterback, I don't
- 1:03:23think you're expecting a dude to turn your back to the field and take that lane
- 1:03:28away, and it's exactly what he do- does.
- 1:03:30And while Kenneth Walker is nice out of the backfield catching the
- 1:03:34ball, he's not LT, you know, that, that- Right … that was not his…
- 1:03:38He's not Marshall Faulk.
- 1:03:39That's not his game.
- 1:03:40He was good, but you had to kinda make it easy to get him in space
- 1:03:44so that he could be effective.
- 1:03:45You kinda clogged it up, make it more difficult, like Emmanwori does on this play.
- 1:03:49It's an incomplete pass, and back to back plays.
- 1:03:52We just watched Emmanwori do two incredibly different things
- 1:03:56at exceptionally high levels.
- 1:03:58Adam: Yeah, it…
- 1:03:58This was supposed to be an easy, just like get you on track kinda
- 1:04:01play, and Emmanwori blows it up.
- 1:04:03And here's the thing that really makes this defense special.
- 1:04:05Even if Ken catches this right here, I mean, we got Spoon
- 1:04:09barreling down on him here.
- 1:04:10He's gonna get blowed the bleep up.
- 1:04:12Clinton: Yeah.
- 1:04:13Yeah.
- 1:04:14W- we, you know, we rally, I think we're the, I think we're the
- 1:04:17best tackling team in the league.
- 1:04:18I, the t-
- 1:04:19Adam: That showed
- 1:04:20… Clinton: exactly, and we rallied the ball with speed like no others.
- 1:04:24I saw Josh put on screen, Josh DeHooman put on screen before that, you know,
- 1:04:27our nickel is our base defense.
- 1:04:29Mm.
- 1:04:30And he's right, so when people are like, "Oh, the Seahawks don't
- 1:04:33play base," it's like, okay, w- we do, we just play it differently.
- 1:04:37You know, it's, we have, we have that player in Emmanwori, plus you have Spoon,
- 1:04:40who's another all world type player.
- 1:04:43And we can play what is a, just a de facto four three a lot of times-
- 1:04:47Mm … where, where Emmanwori's just playing Sam linebacker, and he's so
- 1:04:53skilled that we can get away with it.
- 1:04:55And, and most teams just don't have that kind of player.
- 1:04:58You're seeing the NFL trend that way or try to find those dudes.
- 1:05:03Adam: Mm-hmm.
- 1:05:03Clinton: It just seems like Mike is, A, able to find guys sooner, and also
- 1:05:08Mike is, tends to be the trendsetter.
- 1:05:11You know, with all the, couple of years ago with all the mug looks
- 1:05:14and then the, what do you call it when, you know, four,
- 1:05:17five guys- Simulated pressures.
- 1:05:18Yeah … yeah, simulated sim pressures, right?
- 1:05:20I mean, Mike was really bringing that, that to the forefront, and
- 1:05:23now everybody's doing the, the sim pressures, and it's confusing the crap
- 1:05:26out of quarterbacks, and pass rush is up, and quarterbacks getting hit more,
- 1:05:30more quickly than they used to get hit.
- 1:05:32And I think this is the next evolution of Mike's like, "Okay, cool.
- 1:05:36Catch me if you can."
- 1:05:39Adam: Yeah.
- 1:05:39Clinton: Catch if you can because, because you can't, so, which is,
- 1:05:41Totally, totally good stuff.
- 1:05:43All right, so we got one out, one out, and I love what Sam did.
- 1:05:47I thought Sam had a really, really good game, but we need to whammy.
- 1:05:51We have one out to talk about.
- 1:05:52Let's get to it.
- 1:05:54All right.
- 1:05:56I call this one just floated.
- 1:05:58This is not the interception.
- 1:06:00The interception's bad.
- 1:06:01We all know the interception's bad.
- 1:06:03We get it.
- 1:06:03We- it's like Sam had a little time, he got happy feet, threw a ball to
- 1:06:07the throne in a crucial situation, and it's picked off, and thankfully
- 1:06:11Charles Cross, get well Charles Cross, hurry, get back fast from your ankle,
- 1:06:16makes a tackle at the 40-something yard line, on what could've been a pick six.
- 1:06:21We know all about that.
- 1:06:22This play was, man, Fleury was in his bag a bit.
- 1:06:25So while we talk about, Sam maybe not executing the way that I, I would've loved
- 1:06:30him to on this play, I also thought, Adam, it was kind of a sneaky way to talk about
- 1:06:34Fleury and give him some flowers as well.
- 1:06:36So why don't you tell us what you saw, my guy?
- 1:06:38Adam: All right.
- 1:06:39So, we've got, 11 personnel out here, guys.
- 1:06:42So we got the one tight end Barner here, on the line with Coop right
- 1:06:46next to him, and then Shaheed's gonna come in kinda short motion here, and,
- 1:06:50JSN at the top of your screen.
- 1:06:52So, Sam under center.
- 1:06:53He's gonna go play action and, kind of do a, a, just a nice
- 1:06:57little boot out to his right.
- 1:06:59And as he does that, you see Barner.
- 1:07:02He's gonna, he's actually gonna engage here with the defender for a minute, give
- 1:07:08him a little something something, then he's gonna release right out in the flat.
- 1:07:12It's those late-releasing tight ends.
- 1:07:13This is something that a ton of people are doing in the league,
- 1:07:16and I think it gets a ton of teams.
- 1:07:17It gets us quite a bit too, because you think he's not a part of the
- 1:07:21progression or of the receivers out there, but he exposes themselves late.
- 1:07:25And while they're doing that, they're running Cooper Kupp vertical,
- 1:07:28they're running Shaheed vertical.
- 1:07:29They're just trying to clear all this space out right here
- 1:07:33so that it's wide open for A.J.
- 1:07:34Barner.
- 1:07:35A.J.
- 1:07:35Barner comes wide open, and Fleury did a great job of timing these out too.
- 1:07:40Clinton: Yes.
- 1:07:40Adam: We, what'd we see, like, three of these throughout the game?
- 1:07:42And they're always at the perfect timing.
- 1:07:44Clinton: Yeah, man- And- … he got, he got Spags a couple of times, and
- 1:07:48some of them were super key situations where it's like, man, you just got got.
- 1:07:52But this, this was one of them.
- 1:07:53There was another one where they, they did the mirror image of it later where-
- 1:07:56Mm-hmm … it's Bar to the left-hand side, and that one does hit, and I think he ends
- 1:08:00up getting, like, 15 or so on that play.
- 1:08:02This one, we d- we get nothing because of, of a, of a player, but maybe it's
- 1:08:06more our player than the KC player?
- 1:08:08Adam: Yeah.
- 1:08:09So, you know, Barner gets enough of that defender to allow Sam the
- 1:08:13time to boot and all of that, right?
- 1:08:15He releases, goes out in the flat.
- 1:08:17Defender comes screaming up here-
- 1:08:18Clinton: Yeah,
- 1:08:19Adam: it's Karlaftis,
- 1:08:19Clinton: yeah
- 1:08:20… Adam: and, yeah.
- 1:08:20And, Sam throws a bullet.
- 1:08:22It gets knocked, in the air by Karlaftis.
- 1:08:25Let's get to the end zone angle 'cause you get a little better
- 1:08:28look at this as Sam boots out.
- 1:08:30Here's Sam, here's Karlaftis.
- 1:08:32And, gosh, like Why are we, why are we throwing laser beams?
- 1:08:37Clinton: Yeah, he just drills it, right?
- 1:08:38And that was the, the thing that we coined it as float it, right?
- 1:08:42It's just like this one, this is one where you just wanna see a little
- 1:08:44bit of touch, get it, get it over.
- 1:08:46You don't need a lot, 'cause he's not gonna be able to get two- There's [catfish]
- 1:08:49Adam: all in here.
- 1:08:50Like, it's, it's Barner.
- 1:08:51There's nobody else.
- 1:08:53You have time to put a little air under it,
- 1:08:55you
- 1:08:55Clinton: know?
- 1:08:55Correct.
- 1:08:55Correct.
- 1:08:55Yeah.
- 1:08:56And there's…
- 1:08:56Right, there's not pressure.
- 1:08:58There's not a safety crashing down or a linebacker on his hip where you're
- 1:09:01like, "Oh, I gotta zip this thing in."
- 1:09:03So look, Sam was 20 for 28, and those fricking go balls to Jay as
- 1:09:09said, yeah, throw balls better.
- 1:09:10They're absolutely gorgeous, and he had so many good stuff,
- 1:09:13good things over the middle.
- 1:09:14Even the play where Tory Horton, I wouldn't even say drops it,
- 1:09:17where Mansoor Delane makes a really nice play on To- Tory Horton.
- 1:09:21It's more Delane doing something right, because Tory Horton did catch it.
- 1:09:25Of course, he has to complete the catch, but that's, but it's a great play.
- 1:09:28But that kind of timing stuff and the, and the, the, the digs over the
- 1:09:32middle, boy, they were cooking, man.
- 1:09:34So Sam looked really, really good and crisp.
- 1:09:37The interception, and then this one, I was like, "Come on,
- 1:09:39man," just floated a little bit.
- 1:09:41So being a little nitpicky on our boy Sammy Bear, and he also
- 1:09:44used his legs real nicely, too.
- 1:09:45So I wanna give him some kudos while we pick apart one of his mistakes.
- 1:09:49Adam: Absolutely.
- 1:09:50So, yep, this is…
- 1:09:51You know, you're, if you're looking in the nooks and the crannies, and you're
- 1:09:54looking for- Yeah … you know, something outside the interception to critique Sam
- 1:09:57on, this is as good as any play to choose.
- 1:10:00Yeah, just, you know, hit a wedge, you know, instead of a thresher.
- 1:10:04Clinton: That's it.
- 1:10:04That's it.
- 1:10:05And, you know, like, sometimes, look, the other non-rule but sort
- 1:10:09of guide is that when we get a shutout, we'll go, oops, like, kind
- 1:10:12of Crunch Berry, it's like all ins.
- 1:10:14So I didn't wanna go all ins, 'cause we did not, we did not earn the all ins.
- 1:10:20But I will say that's the only out I'm covering.
- 1:10:22So we got, we got more, more cool stuff to get to.
- 1:10:25Mr.
- 1:10:25Producer, let's whammy, please.
- 1:10:30It's in number six, and if Mookie Alexander is still with us, I
- 1:10:35got this from him on, on Twitter.
- 1:10:37Now, I made the comment that it was like…
- 1:10:38I think he was like, "It's amazing what happens to George Holani when
- 1:10:42he gets the ball in space, not as a running back, but as a, you know,
- 1:10:46a back out of the backfield, and he gets the ball thrown to him."
- 1:10:49And I think I tweeted at him being like, "Yeah, man, for some reason,
- 1:10:51the dude just becomes Marshall Faulk."
- 1:10:52Of course, tongue in cheek a little bit.
- 1:10:55Some people were like, "Whoa, whoa, whoa, calm down."
- 1:10:57I'm like, "It's, it's a heavy joke."
- 1:10:59But what he does make s- think, even the Super Bowl, remember, one over the
- 1:11:04middle dump pass where he shaked and baked and got a, a crucial first down
- 1:11:07there, too, to keep the sticks moving.
- 1:11:09So Q3, 12 minutes to go.
- 1:11:12Adam, is George Holani Marshall Faulk sometimes?
- 1:11:15Sometimes?
- 1:11:15Adam: The, no.
- 1:11:17But, but he is a capable catcher of the football, and
- 1:11:22this was a fantastic play.
- 1:11:23This is back-to-back weeks where Holani's had, a play where he gets a lot
- 1:11:29more than what was there by design.
- 1:11:31Yeah.
- 1:11:31And this is a great example of it.
- 1:11:33So for those listening, we're, again, in three wide receiver set here, all
- 1:11:37three receivers at the top to start, Barner at the bottom, and Holani off
- 1:11:40to Sam's right-hand side in the gun.
- 1:11:43They're gonna bring Tory Horton in in motion down to the,
- 1:11:47bottom of the screen here.
- 1:11:49Both Barner and, or Barner kind of runs a, a little in breaker here.
- 1:11:54It looks like Horton's running an out, and as Sam's looking at
- 1:11:58that, he does not like what he sees.
- 1:12:00So what's nice is, is he gets, he gets through the front side.
- 1:12:03He actually reads this side of the play first.
- 1:12:05Clinton: Mm-hmm.
- 1:12:06Adam: And he gets through this in a hurry, and we'll see this better from
- 1:12:09the other angle, but really great.
- 1:12:11This is his one, two, three…
- 1:12:13I think this is his fifth read on this play to get to
- 1:12:16here, which was really cool.
- 1:12:17Clinton: Yeah.
- 1:12:18Adam: Gets it out to Holani, gets him in space, and we can
- 1:12:21watch him do his thing out here.
- 1:12:24Whoop.
- 1:12:24Just breaks dude's ankles here.
- 1:12:25A whoop.
- 1:12:26Oh, sorry, send me the bill from the hospital.
- 1:12:29Like, we'll get you patched up with that broken ankle.
- 1:12:31Then, you know, linebacker comes down.
- 1:12:33He's like, "You ain't got me 'cause I got first downs to get."
- 1:12:36Then just kind of does the little high step right here at the end,
- 1:12:40gets over the tackle, the DB, picks up, what was this, 10, 12 yards?
- 1:12:46Clinton: Yeah, something like that.
- 1:12:46First down.
- 1:12:47And this is, I think it's a third down, I believe too, right?
- 1:12:49Like, one of those third and nines or something, I think it was.
- 1:12:52And it's, you know, yes, it looks way different.
- 1:12:54Barry Sanders, he is not, and you know, Jahmyr Gibbs is not,
- 1:12:58and Marshall Fa- Faulk is not.
- 1:13:00But he does have this ability to keep his speed, his velocity going while he cuts.
- 1:13:04And it's not like they…
- 1:13:05These are not giant jump cuts, but they're subtle enough to make dudes miss.
- 1:13:10And I've seen it enough times on tape where it's like, well, I don't know.
- 1:13:16He, he just seems to be, again, as a receiver of the ball, he gets a little
- 1:13:20bit more, he gets more missed tackles.
- 1:13:23And I just can only say, man, that's cool.
- 1:13:26Keep doing what you're doing and contributing the way that you're
- 1:13:28contributing, and good for you, Holani.
- 1:13:31You know, it was a couple of weeks ago with the fumbles of course, and, and
- 1:13:34Wilson fumbling to now It's just a, a big, being a contributor and making big
- 1:13:40plays and being someone you could actually count on to, to ditch a guy and to…
- 1:13:46Some, some flowers for Holani, 'cause it's,
- 1:13:49Adam: it's- Yeah, it's good for one of these a game about
- 1:13:51… Clinton: it, it's not a huge jump cut, but it, the, he makes two
- 1:13:54dudes miss, and then makes the last guy not make a clean tackle.
- 1:13:58So good stuff.
- 1:14:00Adam: Yeah.
- 1:14:00I mean, it, 20's left ankle here, like, when you, when you look at his- Yeah
- 1:14:04like, it just, it, it betrayed him, and then watch him- … watch him, like,
- 1:14:08just go, "Woo, whiff," right past Sefari.
- 1:14:12He's like, "Oh, no, I suck again."
- 1:14:14Mm.
- 1:14:14And then Nick Bolton coming up, and he's usually a, a really good tackler,
- 1:14:18can't get it, and, you know, falling forward at the end of the run.
- 1:14:21This is great.
- 1:14:22Clinton: Yeah, I think Bolton's expecting his guy to do a
- 1:14:25little better, is what it seems.
- 1:14:26You think?
- 1:14:27He's, like, breaking down, like, ready to be like, "I'll be the second
- 1:14:30guy that, that cleans this up."
- 1:14:32Adam: Yeah.
- 1:14:32Clinton: And then he had to go into, "Oh, I'm, I'm guy number one now."
- 1:14:36And he just wasn't in position after that, 'cause you can see
- 1:14:37he's kind of breaking down, expe-
- 1:14:39Adam: Chops his feet right there
- 1:14:40… Clinton: he's expecting contact to come towards him, because he's
- 1:14:42expecting his guy to not miss so badly.
- 1:14:44So- Just … so it was kind of a domino effect, which is kind of cool.
- 1:14:48So love that for Holani.
- 1:14:49That was another in.
- 1:14:50Mr.
- 1:14:50Producer, we have more ins to get to.
- 1:14:52Let's hit that whammy, please.
- 1:14:55Excellent.
- 1:14:56Excellent.
- 1:14:57All right.
- 1:14:57In number seven, edge wise.
- 1:15:00Edge wise.
- 1:15:01And, we have almost 700 people with us right now, which is phenomenal, so
- 1:15:05thank you all for being here with us.
- 1:15:07Keep hitting those likes.
- 1:15:08A lot of you are out on Twitter right now.
- 1:15:10Super cool.
- 1:15:11Love that.
- 1:15:12Please make it over to the YouTube channel and hit that subscription,
- 1:15:15'cause we are on our way to 7,000 subs, and it only happens if,
- 1:15:19we do it together, so please do.
- 1:15:21Speaking of doing it together, Adam, in number seven, this is Q4.
- 1:15:27So we're into quarter, quarter four now.
- 1:15:29Only a 13-3 game, and the Chiefs get the ball back.
- 1:15:31There was that little bit of pucker, a little bit of pucker for a moment
- 1:15:34there, where it's like they're getting the ball, they might move the ball.
- 1:15:37They don't.
- 1:15:3814:28 to go, and nope, that's wrong.
- 1:15:4114:17 to go, and again, this is Hall.
- 1:15:46We…
- 1:15:46Globe not even worry.
- 1:15:48This is Hall with the TFL, and him doing big boy things on the edge once again.
- 1:15:52Adam: You bet.
- 1:15:52So Hall's, lined up on the left edge here, and, you'll see him do
- 1:15:58his thing as, as Mahomes six step.
- 1:16:01Hands it off to K9 here, and K9, he's looking inside at first, and
- 1:16:06then he's like, "Hey, I got an idea.
- 1:16:08This is the first time I've ever had this idea.
- 1:16:09Let me see if I can get to the outside."
- 1:16:11Clinton: Mm-hmm.
- 1:16:11Adam: And so he, he bounces it to the outside, I mean, surprise, surprise.
- 1:16:14But, that was a mistake, because our boy right here- Look at him.
- 1:16:20He just, legal hands to the face there, I mean, if we're
- 1:16:23gonna be honest, but- Well,
- 1:16:24Clinton: he's pushing on the helmet, the helmet flies off.
- 1:16:26You know, I, I can't tell if they're legal or not.
- 1:16:28I just can't tell.
- 1:16:28Adam: Yeah, but he does swim past him here right at the end of this rep and forces
- 1:16:32Keetone to kind of jump back inside, into the arms of Leo Williams once again.
- 1:16:36Just a fantastic rep.
- 1:16:38I mean, this is big boy strength and just big boy ability to find and set the edge.
- 1:16:44He almost does the, Byron Murphy, like, take a knee thing
- 1:16:47here as well- Mm-hmm … to kind of offset the power, because this
- 1:16:50right tackle is bigger than him.
- 1:16:51Don't get it twisted.
- 1:16:53But, yeah, he gets around the edge here.
- 1:16:55Gets his, gets in there with the TFL along with Leo.
- 1:16:59Just good stuff.
- 1:16:59This, this sort of…
- 1:17:01I love defensive ends that are burly and tough on the edge.
- 1:17:06Like, I know everybody loves the speedsters that can bend, and they get all
- 1:17:11the sack numbers and the pressure numbers.
- 1:17:13It's not what I'm looking for.
- 1:17:14I want Minotaur strength out here, where you just bang.
- 1:17:17They take his helmet off, don't get, don't even get a flag for it because it's
- 1:17:21so impressive Great, great, great stuff
- 1:17:24Clinton: It, it's beautiful stuff.
- 1:17:25It's almost a replica.
- 1:17:26I didn't really even realize it until- It
- 1:17:28Adam: is
- 1:17:28… Clinton: on the watch back, that this is almost the same play as before,
- 1:17:31where before Kenneth doesn't bounce it, 'cause he shouldn't have, and
- 1:17:35Tyrice Knight is there to do the job.
- 1:17:37And it's really because, again, Leo does the mirror image, right?
- 1:17:41And Hall is almost doing his exact same thing.
- 1:17:44The only real…
- 1:17:45It's almost like a controlled experiment.
- 1:17:47The only difference here was K9 decided to bounce it this time.
- 1:17:50And I get it, because last time he took a TFL from Tyrice
- 1:17:53in a very, very similar look.
- 1:17:54This time he takes a TFL while this dude loses his helmet from Derick Hall.
- 1:17:58So just really beautiful run game again, and it's the edges, it's
- 1:18:03all working in unison, unison.
- 1:18:05So- Yeah … I love calling it out, man, over and over.
- 1:18:08One thing I love calling out, we m- I missed it earlier, so
- 1:18:10I apologize to Josh DeHooman.
- 1:18:11He had a 4.99
- 1:18:13Super Chat- Oh, yeah … saying, "What's up, fellas?
- 1:18:15What are your thoughts?
- 1:18:16Hawks gonna make another trade?
- 1:18:17Pass rush?
- 1:18:18Running back?
- 1:18:19Miss you guys."
- 1:18:20We miss you too, Josh.
- 1:18:21We appreciate the, the Super Chat.
- 1:18:23We, discussed a little earlier where, where we might lay our chips.
- 1:18:26I don't think running back.
- 1:18:27And Adam, I think you're like, "No, we don't need a running back."
- 1:18:30And, and-
- 1:18:31Adam: I mean, if they did, I wouldn't be mad, but, like, I
- 1:18:33don't necessarily see the necessity the way that everybody else does.
- 1:18:36I don't
- 1:18:36Clinton: know.
- 1:18:36Yeah.
- 1:18:37You mentioned tight end earlier, and maybe wanting to improve that, that
- 1:18:39room, and I, I can understand that.
- 1:18:41I'm on the edge, meaning I, I like a pass rush guy, an, an edge guy.
- 1:18:46If we could add a fourth rotational piece would be where I would go.
- 1:18:49And if we don't, I'm okay with that too.
- 1:18:51But I am okay with this as well.
- 1:18:53Is that…
- 1:18:53I can't read because of my peepers.
- 1:18:55Is that BLK?
- 1:18:56Black
- 1:18:57Adam: thoughts, brown dreams, baby.
- 1:18:58Clinton: Yeah, there we…
- 1:18:58Oh, oh, thank you.
- 1:18:59Black thoughts, brown dreams.
- 1:19:01Thank you.
- 1:19:01I can read and put things together.
- 1:19:03$1.99
- 1:19:04Super Chat.
- 1:19:04It says, "Drake better get healthy fast.
- 1:19:0648 is a dog."
- 1:19:08The dog emoji I got, which is cool.
- 1:19:10But thank you, black thought, brown dreams.
- 1:19:13Yeah.
- 1:19:13Look, Tyrice Knight is a starter, and Drake Thomas is also a starter.
- 1:19:17Adam: Yeah.
- 1:19:18Clinton: I think when Drake gets back, it's Drake's, and
- 1:19:21Tyrice deserves time also.
- 1:19:23He just does.
- 1:19:24Adam: Yeah.
- 1:19:25I mean- Good luck to Mike Macdonald, managing these rich,
- 1:19:29person linebacker problems.
- 1:19:31But remember when I said that we're gonna see Travis Kelce do some crybaby
- 1:19:34meltdown- Yeah, he did literally
- 1:19:36a little bit later?
- 1:19:36Here it is with Emmanwori.
- 1:19:37So we saw Emmanwori and Travis Kelce getting after it early in the game.
- 1:19:41We are now in quarter four, and, Travis Kelce, I think he's
- 1:19:45tired of seeing Nick Emmanwori.
- 1:19:47So you see him get into it here.
- 1:19:49They're mixing it up, mixing it up.
- 1:19:51Emmanwori's giving him the long arm here.
- 1:19:53He gives him a little shove just to let him know, "Hey, you're old.
- 1:19:56Go home to your, your rich wife."
- 1:19:58And he keeps pushing him, keeps pushing, keeps his arm up
- 1:20:01there, and then watch Travis have a crybaby meltdown right here.
- 1:20:05Look at this.
- 1:20:06"Oh, get off me.
- 1:20:08I'm gonna tell Taylor.
- 1:20:09You, don't touch me like that.
- 1:20:11Me."
- 1:20:11Clinton: Very frustrated.
- 1:20:13You know, he's, he…
- 1:20:13That's what that is.
- 1:20:14That's a sign of, they knew they were going nowhere.
- 1:20:18Kelce had a couple of, couple of catches, but he also had a couple of
- 1:20:21drops in this game, things that he doesn't look quite the part anymore.
- 1:20:25He's just older than he used to be.
- 1:20:27He's not the athlete he once was, and I can understand that
- 1:20:31that's gonna wear on a man.
- 1:20:32You know?
- 1:20:32So, or that, or he was trying to slap a friendship bracelet on Emmanwori.
- 1:20:37That might've been what he was trying to do.
- 1:20:38Well,
- 1:20:38Adam: I think Emmanwori was just trying to let him know, like, "You're mine now.
- 1:20:42I own you.
- 1:20:42See how I own you right here?
- 1:20:43Like, I, you're mine.
- 1:20:44I've got you.
- 1:20:45Nothing you can do about it."
- 1:20:46He's like, "Yeah they can."
- 1:20:47Clinton: Yeah.
- 1:20:48Yeah.
- 1:20:49Kelce's had a great career, and, Yeah, but- Him and the Chiefs got to- That was
- 1:20:52Adam: fun to make fun of him for a second.
- 1:20:54Clinton: Absolutely.
- 1:20:54And look, the, the Chiefs, I was texting my, my boys Johnny Parmesan, Louie Piazza,
- 1:20:59and crew was like, "The thing about the Seahawks and Chiefs is, like, we're good.
- 1:21:04Like, you guys beat the Niners twice."
- 1:21:06Yeah.
- 1:21:07Well, they, we, we really, really appreciate Reed, and we, respect
- 1:21:11Mahomes, and all, you know, and all that.
- 1:21:14It was super cool to get a little bit, little bit of that villainy thing going
- 1:21:17this week with, with K9 out there.
- 1:21:19It's like, and I love K9, but it's, but it makes the, the game a little bit
- 1:21:23more interesting, and it certainly did.
- 1:21:25So, so Chiefs, keep beating the 49ers in Super Bowls.
- 1:21:28If, if you guys meet them again, we appreciate that.
- 1:21:30But when you come to the PNW, you're not getting to the red zone.
- 1:21:34Just, just the way it's gonna be, and Eman's gonna be there for you.
- 1:21:36All right, we got more.
- 1:21:37Let's hit another whammy.
- 1:21:38Let's do it.
- 1:21:42He knew it.
- 1:21:43In eights.
- 1:21:44In eights.
- 1:21:45Folks, we got, I think, two more ins after this, so stick around.
- 1:21:48And th- and then we have From the Flock, where we go into our Discord
- 1:21:51and pull out your moments, our Discord Flockers, and what you saw you wanna
- 1:21:56talk about, because there's so many good nooks and crannies in this game.
- 1:21:59Adam, this is one of my favorites, man.
- 1:22:01So Q4, 8:38 to go.
- 1:22:03It's a 13-3 game.
- 1:22:05This is a field goal that Butker's gonna miss.
- 1:22:09And I think what got missed by lots of people is that I think he misses
- 1:22:14because he had somebody steamin' Willie Beamen off the edge here, and that
- 1:22:19player gets up like he knows he's the reason this thing gets pushed right.
- 1:22:23Adam: Yeah.
- 1:22:24This is how you know Clinton looks for the legitimate nooks and crannies.
- 1:22:27I did not see this, watching back the tape, nor, live either.
- 1:22:31But we're gonna watch Spoon come around the edge here, and I
- 1:22:33think you're right here, Clinton.
- 1:22:34We'll see it in the other angle.
- 1:22:36He really does influence this, but he was close.
- 1:22:39Clinton: Yes.
- 1:22:40Adam: Yeah.
- 1:22:40And w- what's crazy is, so all right, here we go.
- 1:22:43Ball off foot, Spoon hits ground, and but f- like- He knew it too … he's already
- 1:22:47celebrating now, I think- That's the thing … like, as he's doing a somersault.
- 1:22:50Clinton: He's into a tuck and roll.
- 1:22:51He's getting up, and he knows, like, which is crazy.
- 1:22:55He's processing.
- 1:22:56I mean, again, these are el- elite, elite talents.
- 1:22:58But he just knew from the way the ball was probably angling off his foot.
- 1:23:02I think what's processing in his brain that moment, Adam, is like, "If I did not
- 1:23:06block that, then this ball is wide right."
- 1:23:09Like, literally, 'cause he's like, "I didn't touch it."
- 1:23:12And it, the, you know, if P, then Q, that ball is not going through the uprights.
- 1:23:16And his…
- 1:23:17I saw this on the r- p- playback.
- 1:23:18I'm like, he knew that he caused this thing to get pushed right,
- 1:23:22and I just thought it was cool.
- 1:23:24Adam: It is cool.
- 1:23:25I don't think he was even trying to do the YMCA.
- 1:23:27I think you're right, 'cause he, he's celebrating before the ball's
- 1:23:30even by the uprights, which is-
- 1:23:32Clinton: Yeah.
- 1:23:32Butker's not even, like, sure.
- 1:23:33He's like, "Yeah, this might not go through."
- 1:23:35And he, and Spoon's like, "That ain't going through."
- 1:23:37He's good.
- 1:23:37I, I just thought that was the coolest thing.
- 1:23:39Adam: Yeah, no, super cool.
- 1:23:41Gives it the, you know, Steph Curry throw up a three ball and walk away
- 1:23:45before it even hits the bottom of the net.
- 1:23:47That's exactly what Spoon did here.
- 1:23:49That was a walk-off.
- 1:23:49That was cool.
- 1:23:50Clinton: Yeah, super cool.
- 1:23:51I love that one very much.
- 1:23:53We got a couple more ins.
- 1:23:53Let's hit another one.
- 1:23:58And nine, a real 180, a real Munson Royer, a real 180.
- 1:24:03So we got Q4, 3:52 to go, and this, the, the clue is on camera, 'cause you can s-
- 1:24:09see the score has changed from 19 to 3.
- 1:24:12So it was 13 to 3.
- 1:24:13So Adam, how do you add six points all of a sudden?
- 1:24:16What has to happen for you to add six points?
- 1:24:19Adam: Well, you take the football, like Sam Darnold does here.
- 1:24:21You hand it to this guy, who comes over here, and then jellies it right down
- 1:24:25all these- [catfish] … throats, and then goes and scores the touchdown.
- 1:24:28Like that's what's good.
- 1:24:29Clinton: And we do, and it's great- Yeah … blocking along the left-hand side.
- 1:24:32I wanted to give some special sauce love to A.J.
- 1:24:35Barner because-
- 1:24:36Adam: Oh, but you don't want to give it to A.J.
- 1:24:38Barner … it's not
- 1:24:38Clinton: A.J.?
- 1:24:39Adam: Yeah, 'cause it is Mr.
- 1:24:40Kallerup down here-
- 1:24:41Clinton: Oh, okay.
- 1:24:42There we go.
- 1:24:43Kallerup … that, Great.
- 1:24:43Adam: Good … that does the great 180 here
- 1:24:45Clinton: through- Oh, fantastic.
- 1:24:46I love it.
- 1:24:47I, I saw it once.
- 1:24:47I thought it was A.J.
- 1:24:48I'm glad I'm wrong.
- 1:24:50Take it away.
- 1:24:50Tell us why this 180 is kinda cool.
- 1:24:52Adam: You bet.
- 1:24:53This is some, great awareness by Kallerup, and if he doesn't do what he
- 1:24:56does here, this is not a touchdown.
- 1:24:58And so again, we're just gonna see, you know, a, a run to this side here into
- 1:25:03the three tight end, side of the formation, left-hand side of the line.
- 1:25:07Sam's under center, he's gonna hand it off here.
- 1:25:09They actually bring, they bring the corner down, or the safety down here.
- 1:25:14Mm-hmm.
- 1:25:14They're gonna blitz.
- 1:25:15Delane's gonna stay out here at the corner and do absolutely nothing.
- 1:25:20I don't know why you even decided to go out on the field this
- 1:25:23play, because you did nothing.
- 1:25:25But, what's cool is, watch Kallerup as he starts here.
- 1:25:28He's gonna crash in and try to help, seal the end here, and,
- 1:25:32make it a little easier for Barner.
- 1:25:34But as he does that, he realizes out the corner of his eye right now that
- 1:25:38the safety's coming down, and he's gonna be able to, make the tackle here.
- 1:25:43He flips his hips, whoop, and just, it's not a big, like, collision,
- 1:25:49but it's just enough to stowed him, and that even buys enough time, and
- 1:25:54you, trust me, you need to buy time for Emanuel Wilson to get anywhere.
- 1:25:57And, he actually gets and scoots through here all
- 1:26:00the way for the touchdown.
- 1:26:02Clinton: Yeah, it's great stuff.
- 1:26:03A- and this angle, you can see that little pirouette even better.
- 1:26:06It's because the left-hand side wins so cleanly that Kallerup is like,
- 1:26:11"I, I don't have a job over here."
- 1:26:13You know, and it's like, "Hey, I, I wanna be useful," a little, little,
- 1:26:16Thomas the Tank Engine style, and he does that little turn at that,
- 1:26:19that last moment, probably surprising the crap out of that, I think that
- 1:26:23was the safety that crept down.
- 1:26:24Yeah.
- 1:26:24Probably not expecting that guy to, to pick it up and Kallerup turn as he
- 1:26:28does, but that's what creates that seal, man, and it's, it's just an- another,
- 1:26:32again, another nook, another cranny that I just thought was super cool.
- 1:26:35And it's, it is high-level execution.
- 1:26:39You know, whether that's shocking ef- effort or relentlessness or all, all
- 1:26:42the things that Mike likes to talk about, I, I do know what it is.
- 1:26:46For me, it's just high, it's incredibly high-level execution.
- 1:26:49Like knowing, not just knowing your job, but like he, it's almost like
- 1:26:53a p- progress for a quarterback.
- 1:26:56Like, okay, job number one is get this edge.
- 1:26:58Okay.
- 1:26:59Like Batman's got Gotham.
- 1:27:00I don't gotta go help Batman over there.
- 1:27:03I could turn around and go, go get another villain.
- 1:27:05Seals the deal for Emanuel to walk through, and, 21
- 1:27:09yards later, it's game over.
- 1:27:11Adam: Can you imagine…
- 1:27:13Well, I guess we can 'cause we had Riq Woolen.
- 1:27:15I mean, watch Delane on this.
- 1:27:17Like, can you imagine a Seahawks corner being this soft and,
- 1:27:21like, not getting involved?
- 1:27:22Just like running up to the backside of his own dude, just gonna look
- 1:27:27at him, watch Wilson go by and be like, "Oh, there he goes."
- 1:27:30Clinton: Well, I, I can't imagine it.
- 1:27:32I've seen it.
- 1:27:33In his defense, do you think he's just got the edge?
- 1:27:37And, and, and if this is a dude that is gonna bounce it, now maybe it's like
- 1:27:41a personnel-wise, Wilson's not gonna bounce this But isn't his job there just
- 1:27:46to have the edge and not overcommit?
- 1:27:49Adam: I mean, maybe.
- 1:27:51Clinton: And then I, I think- I'd
- 1:27:52Adam: be, I'd be- No
- 1:27:53disappointed that he didn't react to this a little quicker,
- 1:27:55but you're probably right.
- 1:27:57Clinton: I- that's what I think, and I think he's, in the other angle- That's
- 1:27:59probably right … he doesn't have a good angle to, like, dive backwards
- 1:28:02to go get a chance to go get him.
- 1:28:03Do something.
- 1:28:05Look, I'm happy he did nothing.
- 1:28:06I, I'm- Yeah
- 1:28:07you can choose nothing against us all day long.
- 1:28:09Adam: Yeah.
- 1:28:09Clinton: Also, at this point in the game, as you said in the, the post-game
- 1:28:13show with, with Brandan live, like, the Chiefs were, they were defeated.
- 1:28:17They were, they were ready to get back on that plane, and this obviously
- 1:28:21sealed the deal, but man, they were kinda checking out at this point.
- 1:28:24They were just tired.
- 1:28:26It showed, and, we were the better team.
- 1:28:29Adam: Yeah, 27 will give you the body language of that right there, just huh.
- 1:28:32Clinton: Yep.
- 1:28:32Yep, absolutely.
- 1:28:34For sure.
- 1:28:34Which is, which is great.
- 1:28:35So love that for Emanuel.
- 1:28:37Love that for Kalu.
- 1:28:37I think we have one more Adam in you wanted to get to, so roll into it.
- 1:28:42This'll be our last, our last in what's in a, in a plethora of ins.
- 1:28:47Then we'll get to From the Flock, so stick around for that.
- 1:28:49Oh, and then we have the MVC still, the most valuable cranny, because
- 1:28:53when we win, we get ins, but we also get the MVC, so stick around.
- 1:28:56But what is your last Adam?
- 1:28:58Adam: All right, so the last one here is a pass play, that I
- 1:29:02thought illustrated well some of the things that Fleury is doing.
- 1:29:06And I know there's people with Fleury frustration…
- 1:29:08That's hard to say.
- 1:29:09Fleury frustration.
- 1:29:11Fleury frustrations.
- 1:29:11And I get all that, but there's also some good stuff on the tape as
- 1:29:14well, and this is a great example of how he manipulated the hell out
- 1:29:19of the defense pre-snap with some of the motion built into this play.
- 1:29:23So we're gonna start out.
- 1:29:24We're an 11 personnel, meaning three wide receivers out here, and then we've
- 1:29:28got Barner at the top of your screen.
- 1:29:29The back is off to Sam's left here in shotgun, and watch
- 1:29:33what they do here pre-snap.
- 1:29:35So y- we bring Barner in motion to the bottom side of the screen,
- 1:29:40and you can see the linebacker is actually gonna move with him.
- 1:29:43So you go, "Okay, that's interesting."
- 1:29:46More times than not, that means we've, we're probably gonna pick up man coverage
- 1:29:50here, or at least man to that side.
- 1:29:52Mm-hmm.
- 1:29:52So that was cool.
- 1:29:54So they've…
- 1:29:55That moves this linebacker over here, okay?
- 1:29:58That's, that's motion number one, and you'll see what's important
- 1:30:02coming up here next, is they're gonna move the back out in short motion.
- 1:30:06And since they have man, it's actually gonna draw Bolton out with him.
- 1:30:11So as the back moves out motion, you can see Bolton move with him.
- 1:30:15It's at that point Sam knows for sure.
- 1:30:17He's like, "We get man coverage all day."
- 1:30:19Mm-hmm.
- 1:30:20And then you're gonna watch JSN run kind of a slant on the inside here.
- 1:30:24And what these motions do is it brings this linebacker that was originally
- 1:30:28here all the way over to here, then it takes Bolton, and they're gonna
- 1:30:32actually run the back out like this.
- 1:30:34So he's gonna move out like this.
- 1:30:36That voids this entire space, even though they try to bracket JSN with
- 1:30:41these two defenders, and Bolton, as he moves over there, almost makes it
- 1:30:45triple coverage as JSN comes through.
- 1:30:47How does JSN get open against triple coverage?
- 1:30:49Well, he gets a little help from his coordinator.
- 1:30:51So watch this as it goes.
- 1:30:53You see JSN on his release, and look at that.
- 1:30:55There is nothing here.
- 1:30:57Mm-hmm.
- 1:30:57It's all vacated because of who they were able to draw out of that
- 1:31:01area with those motions pre-snap.
- 1:31:04JSN wins, obviously.
- 1:31:06Guy who's supposed to bracket him- … he is on the outside.
- 1:31:09JSN takes us inside.
- 1:31:11Sam sees it, ball's already gone, and we know what happens from here.
- 1:31:15JSN makes the catch, and then he runs like people are chasing him.
- 1:31:19And he comes down here, huge gain, pops back up, and then I love his
- 1:31:24reaction after this, too, with JSN.
- 1:31:26Screaming at the crowd, hitting his helmet.
- 1:31:28He's fired up.
- 1:31:29Super cool stuff, man.
- 1:31:31Clinton: Yep, best in the league, and beautifully described that-
- 1:31:36Last game against the Broncos, it was like, okay, JSN got his, and
- 1:31:40it was, and it all was crunchy.
- 1:31:42A lot of that was like, wow, he's covered, and man, he's not schemed open, but JSN's
- 1:31:46still JSN, so we could stay in this game.
- 1:31:49This was, this was the opposite.
- 1:31:51This was, he's running free.
- 1:31:53He's running to spaces.
- 1:31:54He's, he's on go routes.
- 1:31:56He's catching bubbles that are beautifully timed.
- 1:32:00So this was much, much different than we saw against the Broncos.
- 1:32:03The, the end numbers might look similar, but the feel of JSN's
- 1:32:08impact was unbelievable, you know?
- 1:32:11And- Yeah … as you said, undeniable.
- 1:32:13Right?
- 1:32:13We like to call him JS- JS Again.
- 1:32:15We like to call him JS Inevitable, JS Undeniable.
- 1:32:19I think the, the league is starting to call him something different, Adam,
- 1:32:22and that just might, just might be MVP.
- 1:32:25Adam: I think they're calling him, "Oh, [catfish]"
- 1:32:28when he's coming to town.
- 1:32:30But pretty cool.
- 1:32:30I mean, when you look at this, I mean, at that point in the rep, I mean,
- 1:32:33how is JSN gonna get open on this?
- 1:32:35Now, Bolton does, travel with the back here, but I mean,
- 1:32:38still, like, it's super cool.
- 1:32:41Clinton: It's great stuff.
- 1:32:41And then- It was
- 1:32:42the other part that you said that was probably the most important piece of
- 1:32:46it, too, besides the scheme that, that gets him the opportunity to be in the
- 1:32:49vacated space, is that when Sam sees that he's got it, the ball is out.
- 1:32:55Adam: Yeah.
- 1:32:55Clinton: The ball is out, and when Sam has a little bit of pocket and the ball's
- 1:33:00out on time, Sam is absolutely deadly.
- 1:33:02That's not when Sam is in trouble.
- 1:33:05You know?
- 1:33:05Yeah.
- 1:33:05When Sam's getting that ball out two and a half seconds and, and the
- 1:33:08scheme is, is pure, he's one of the best quarterbacks in the league.
- 1:33:11It's the other stuff that we know, the circuitry starts to
- 1:33:14break down a little bit for Sam.
- 1:33:15But honestly, it does for most quarterbacks.
- 1:33:17It's not like that's a thing- Yeah.
- 1:33:19Mm-hmm … that's true.
- 1:33:20Almost all quarterbacks go through that.
- 1:33:22Okay.
- 1:33:23We-
- 1:33:23Adam: One last thing on this.
- 1:33:24Just the, the other part of the, the scheme part is that Fleury was hunting
- 1:33:28this matchup all day against Sneed.
- 1:33:30So they get JSN in the slot here, but watch Sneed here try to, jam JSN
- 1:33:34at the line of scrimmage because a lot of people think JSN isn't that big.
- 1:33:38He's s- he's the same size as Jerry Rice.
- 1:33:40Hmm.
- 1:33:40Like, I, I, you know, he's, he's a good size dude, but watch JSN
- 1:33:44deal with this, attempt to disrupt him at the line of scrimmage.
- 1:33:49Whoof.
- 1:33:50Right around it.
- 1:33:51Like, he knows that he's lined up to his inside shoulder here,
- 1:33:55and so he's like, "That's fine.
- 1:33:55I'll just relay to the outside and make you look stupid."
- 1:33:58And you basically…
- 1:33:59His left hand, Sneed's left hand whiffs.
- 1:34:02Yeah.
- 1:34:02Like, barely touches JSN's shoulder, and he's able to work off that loop around the
- 1:34:07backside of him, and good night, Irene.
- 1:34:09Clinton: Yeah.
- 1:34:10Great, great stuff.
- 1:34:11Just saw some comments flying in there.
- 1:34:12Jerry Rice 2.0
- 1:34:14from Charlie the Unicorn.
- 1:34:16Look- So- I mean, you gotta do it for a long time, of course.
- 1:34:19However- Yep.
- 1:34:22You know, the trajectory of what he does, how he moves, how he's different-
- 1:34:26Yes … and, k- he's not the 4.2
- 1:34:29guy.
- 1:34:29He's not the 4.3
- 1:34:30guy.
- 1:34:30He's fast, he's fast enough.
- 1:34:32But man, he- he's…
- 1:34:34I love the fact that the…
- 1:34:36even after a NFL Offensive Player of the Year last year, it was like, "Oh, you
- 1:34:41know, that was a really nice year by JSN."
- 1:34:43There was recognition for a nice year, and that was kinda it.
- 1:34:47You know, it was like, but still Jefferson, but still
- 1:34:49Chase, but still Puka, all that.
- 1:34:52Now, as we're getting close to halfway through- another season of this,
- 1:34:57it's just kinda common knowledge, like no, he, he's, he's number one
- 1:35:00Adam: He's the best.
- 1:35:01Yeah.
- 1:35:02Yeah.
- 1:35:02He's the- And I, I've been wanting to say this for a minute, because I hear
- 1:35:05all the time on all these other shows, you know, national shows and stuff,
- 1:35:07like, "Who does he remind you of?
- 1:35:09Who do…"
- 1:35:09And like, you know, people…
- 1:35:11I heard a Marvin Harrison thrown out there at one point.
- 1:35:13Somebody said Torry Holt.
- 1:35:15Or, or not Torry, Isaac Bruce, and I was like, "No, definitely not Isaac Bruce."
- 1:35:18Mm-mm.
- 1:35:18No, I don't think so.
- 1:35:18Clinton: Yeah.
- 1:35:19Adam: He, who he genuinely reminds me of is Jerry Rice.
- 1:35:23With the way that he runs, the smooth of it.
- 1:35:26Clinton: Yeah.
- 1:35:26Adam: And then also, like the, the deceptive football fast,
- 1:35:29and then the unbelievable hands.
- 1:35:31And he's just unguardable.
- 1:35:33Like, I don't care what his 40 time is, man.
- 1:35:35Like, he's football fast.
- 1:35:37Clinton: Yeah.
- 1:35:37He's, he's got it all, man.
- 1:35:38And, and we got him.
- 1:35:39So we, we're extremely excited about that.
- 1:35:42And we got Quenton Nelson, as we talked about.
- 1:35:44So those were our in.
- 1:35:45That was one out, but that was three and three out.
- 1:35:47So if it's your first time ever here watching that, we hope you liked it.
- 1:35:50We like to do these after every game, a win, lose, or draw, and,
- 1:35:54Take our time through them.
- 1:35:55Because it's, to us, it's like the relishing of the little things that
- 1:35:59maybe sprung a player, that maybe gets overlooked, or maybe it's, you
- 1:36:03know, Spoon making an amazing play.
- 1:36:05But we also, when we win, we start with an in.
- 1:36:07When we win, we get some extra addams, some cherries and sprinkles on top.
- 1:36:12But we also make sure that we have the MVC.
- 1:36:15When we win, we get the MVC.
- 1:36:17So I'll put this on stage, a drum roll please.
- 1:36:20Adam, any guesses?
- 1:36:21There's a lot of ins.
- 1:36:22Any guesses to where I might give the trophy?
- 1:36:25The very real 3D-printed trophy that we will send to the vMac-
- 1:36:28Very real … once we announce.
- 1:36:30Adam: I'm gonna go with Derick Hall, because you had him twice
- 1:36:32doing about the same thing.
- 1:36:33Clinton: You know what?
- 1:36:34That's a great guess.
- 1:36:35It's…
- 1:36:35I lo- I love me some Minotaur.
- 1:36:37But it is Devon Witherspoon.
- 1:36:40Yeah.
- 1:36:40Because look, man, if you're gonna do this kind of disruption and y- just,
- 1:36:45just know what you did, what the rest of the world didn't realize until later.
- 1:36:48So I say for causing the Butker to push a crucial field goal to the right, and
- 1:36:54knowing it immediately, I'm giving Devon Witherspoon on the special teams the MVC.
- 1:37:00He is our most valuable cranny for week seven.
- 1:37:04Adam.
- 1:37:05Adam: I love it.
- 1:37:05And you know, we had a comment on one of our last videos that Witherspoon doesn't
- 1:37:09get talked about enough, and I think he was just- Hmm … saying in general
- 1:37:12throughout, you know, sports media.
- 1:37:151,000%.
- 1:37:16I mean, he is so unbelievably special, and he had some big
- 1:37:20plays in this game as well.
- 1:37:22He does get a little overshadowed by the, the freak show of Emmanwori, right?
- 1:37:27Running with Xavier Worthy.
- 1:37:29You know, running down K9 from across the field, and then, you know, screwing up my
- 1:37:33homes to throw an interception, and, you know, plan end and all that stuff.
- 1:37:38But Spoon, Spoon is no slouch.
- 1:37:40He is, he's legitimately, what, 1A, 1B best corner in the league?
- 1:37:45Because-
- 1:37:46Clinton: He's
- 1:37:46Adam: about to change the game … he can kick ass inside, he can kick
- 1:37:48ass outside, he can kick ass and run support He's the man
- 1:37:53Clinton: And the best part for
- 1:37:54Adam: Spoon- He's kicking ass on special teams here.
- 1:37:55Clinton: Yeah, yeah, there it is.
- 1:37:56And the best part for Spoon, the man himself, is he already got his bag.
- 1:38:00Adam: Mm-hmm.
- 1:38:01Clinton: He's already paid, and he did it professionally, and he
- 1:38:03didn't, he didn't hold in or he just, just did his thing and got his bag.
- 1:38:07So we're talking about a very young man who had a e- extremely,
- 1:38:12Great career Illinois.
- 1:38:14Is picked fifth overall by our Seahawks, and has already won a Super
- 1:38:19Bowl, and already has secured the bag for, for himself and his family.
- 1:38:23So, hey, and is playing on special teams and doing what he
- 1:38:27just, we just witnessed again.
- 1:38:28So loving him.
- 1:38:29I love the fact that we can give him that much more, 'cause, yeah,
- 1:38:32the spotlight might be on Emmanwori, and that comes and goes throughout the
- 1:38:36ebbs and flows throughout the season.
- 1:38:37Emm- we know Emmanwori's special.
- 1:38:39Spoon- He's just, he's, Spoon's different too, man, so love that.
- 1:38:44All right, so that is our MVC.
- 1:38:46We're gonna 3D print that trophy.
- 1:38:47Mr.
- 1:38:48Producer, please tell me that, that it's working well, and we're gonna
- 1:38:51get that to the VMac, 'cause it's a very special, very, very real trophy.
- 1:38:54All right, we're gonna get to From the Flock next, as our final segment, where
- 1:38:57we go into the Discord, and we pull out even more extra nuggets and more crannies
- 1:39:02of things that our Discord members, our Flockers, as we call them, saw.
- 1:39:05But Adam, if people wanna be as cool as our members in the Flock, what should
- 1:39:09they be doing first and foremost?
- 1:39:11Adam: First, celebrate that you are a fan of the
- 1:39:14greatest team in all the land.
- 1:39:16And, once you're done doing that and reminding yourself how awesome that
- 1:39:19is, you can go to getintheflock.com,
- 1:39:20and for $5 a month you can get in the Discord.
- 1:39:23Discord was on fire throughout this last game.
- 1:39:26It was a ton of fun, people going back and
- 1:39:28forth with all sorts of things to discuss.
- 1:39:30Maybe you think that Zabel should definitely move to center.
- 1:39:33Maybe you're like me and be like, "That's poppycock."
- 1:39:36Like, what- whatever it is, you can get in the Discord, lots of like-minded
- 1:39:39great twelves that you can go back and forth with, and it's, you know, open
- 1:39:4324 hours a day, seven days a week.
- 1:39:45It's awesome, so getintheflock.com.
- 1:39:46Clinton: Very good, getintheflock.com.
- 1:39:49Five bucks a month, you're in the Discord.
- 1:39:51And hey, look, whatever you, whatever you can, do, value for value.
- 1:39:55We know it's tough out there.
- 1:39:56But if you can do it, we appreciate it.
- 1:39:58It helps us do more cool stuff, put out more cool content, and do things like
- 1:40:01this, where we might get demonetized because we're showing some footage.
- 1:40:05But we do it because it, that's what makes the show good, so
- 1:40:07we're just gonna do that, and trust that you'll be there for us.
- 1:40:10So, so our amazing members of the Flock.
- 1:40:13Adam, why- if you got it on screen, we got Frost, our coach, who is Ryan911, our
- 1:40:19executive live producer, hitting us first.
- 1:40:21Take it away.
- 1:40:22Adam: All right, Frost has it in.
- 1:40:23They ran a barnyard and converted.
- 1:40:25They ran three of them and converted.
- 1:40:26That's true.
- 1:40:26It was awesome.
- 1:40:27That's
- 1:40:27Clinton: true.
- 1:40:27Adam: We also got Paul King in.
- 1:40:29What Frost said, the barnyard is back.
- 1:40:32We got CarCar in.
- 1:40:33Sam looking like someone who could win us a Super Bowl again.
- 1:40:36True facts.
- 1:40:37And great teams make the most a mini…
- 1:40:40make the most out of a mini buy, and holy [catfish]- … we did.
- 1:40:44And Mike is a wizard- Mm … when you give him a little bit of extra time.
- 1:40:49Clinton: Well, the stats are now something that on his mini buys, he is…
- 1:40:54the Seaho- the Seahawks are 15 points better than the point spread
- 1:40:59says they will be, on average.
- 1:41:02Adam: Interesting.
- 1:41:02Clinton: Yeah, like 15 points better than the point spread.
- 1:41:04It's like- Interesting.
- 1:41:06So maybe, maybe Vegas should, should pay a little bit of attention
- 1:41:09when Mike gets a little bit of extra time, and I'll take the extra day.
- 1:41:12We played Sunday night, we don't play till Monday?
- 1:41:14Yeah.
- 1:41:15I, I like that.
- 1:41:16I like that for us.
- 1:41:17All right, we got Frost again saying in seven of nine for
- 1:41:21third down in the first half.
- 1:41:22You can't expect any better than that.
- 1:41:24Agree, and I also don't wanna count on it either, like especially third and
- 1:41:28nine, third and seven, third and eight.
- 1:41:30I wanna see us do better this week with Chicago.
- 1:41:33I think we're gonna need to, but I also think we will for all the
- 1:41:35reasons we talked about throughout the entire episode in CarCar.
- 1:41:39He's giving it into CarCar, wishing Sammy back to the, you know, greatest of all
- 1:41:43time status, and Sammy played really good.
- 1:41:45Frost also in, D.
- 1:41:47Hall shutting down that drive with a violence force fr-
- 1:41:50fumble from out of nowhere.
- 1:41:51What I love about our show, Adam, is we highlighted two, two Derick
- 1:41:56Hall plays tonight, none of which was the force fumble sack he had.
- 1:41:59Cool ass play, but Not where, not where we're gonna dig into,
- 1:42:03but Frost was all over it.
- 1:42:04And then Bunny, who's very, very funny, saying, "In the past deflection from Leo.
- 1:42:08I kinda complain a lot that we don't get our mitts up enough, and I see Sam
- 1:42:12get stuff batted down all the time.
- 1:42:14Leo said, 'Do you wanna complain?
- 1:42:15You wanna complain?'
- 1:42:16And he, he batted one down for us in a big moment, of course."
- 1:42:19Adam: Right back in your face.
- 1:42:21Clinton: Yeah.
- 1:42:21Adam: He, he was, he was over-earwided.
- 1:42:23Yeah.
- 1:42:23He
- 1:42:23Clinton: was a bit.
- 1:42:24Adam: All right, lots more ins because everybody was hot to trot with ins
- 1:42:27after a huge win over the Chiefs.
- 1:42:30We got Scott Campbell, "In Sam getting the ball out in 2.45
- 1:42:34seconds tonight instead of 3.10
- 1:42:36in the past games.
- 1:42:38In Sam taking checkdown options this week."
- 1:42:40And I think that's a huge deal in getting through his reads really
- 1:42:43quickly, and then just understanding, look, point guard this thing.
- 1:42:47Get the ball and play to your playmakers.
- 1:42:48Don't worry about it.
- 1:42:49You're not, you're not the hero.
- 1:42:50You don't need to be the hero.
- 1:42:51In holding K9 to a sweet, FA.
- 1:42:55This D is better than LOB in my, in my opinion.
- 1:43:00And yeah, that was awesome.
- 1:43:02Then we got Doc Hawk in just an overall very satisfying performance
- 1:43:05tonight across the board.
- 1:43:07Couldn't agree more.
- 1:43:08Clinton: Yeah.
- 1:43:08Said very, very well.
- 1:43:09Agreed.
- 1:43:10Our first out makes an appearance, 12 Man Records, Jason, our guy Jason, great dude.
- 1:43:15Out, where the heck is T Swift?
- 1:43:17So yeah, they've magically weren't showing.
- 1:43:19She, guess she wasn't in Seattle.
- 1:43:20Magically not showing, showing too much T Swift.
- 1:43:23Frost in.
- 1:43:24He says it, three barnyards.
- 1:43:26I guess Bradford was the missing piece.
- 1:43:29Now it'll be interesting to see what, what happens with, Bradford.
- 1:43:32In 100 yards from Wilson.
- 1:43:35Huge game for him.
- 1:43:36Also props to Fleury for not abandoning the run game.
- 1:43:40Great freaking point.
- 1:43:42The balance of 24 carries for Wilson, several others for Bellis
- 1:43:48and Holani, and 28 attempts from Sam.
- 1:43:53Didn't need 40 attempts, Adam.
- 1:43:55Didn't need 45.
- 1:43:56Did not need 51.
- 1:43:5928, such a cool number for, for Sam to be hanging out with.
- 1:44:02We got Josh DeHooman saying, who we saw earlier, saying out, K9 heading to
- 1:44:07the locker room and not shaking hands.
- 1:44:09Little bit of a, you know, taking his ball and going home.
- 1:44:12His prerogative, but not a great look.
- 1:44:14And we got Paul King saying in We remembered how to run the ball.
- 1:44:18We certainly did.
- 1:44:19And Yokai Hawk is remembering something really important here too.
- 1:44:23Adam, what do we got on screen?
- 1:44:24Can you see that?
- 1:44:25Adam: Oh, yeah, we got that, that sweet yen money coming in from Yokai Hawk.
- 1:44:29Mm-hmm.
- 1:44:29Next victim, da Bears.
- 1:44:31Clinton: Da Bears.
- 1:44:32He has 2,003 yen for the, the score recognition of 20 to
- 1:44:37three, so we gotta love that.
- 1:44:39Thank you very much, Yokai Hawk.
- 1:44:40He's a member out in the flock.
- 1:44:42I gotta be honest, you should be too.
- 1:44:44Back to more members.
- 1:44:45What's Leo got to say, Adam?
- 1:44:46Adam: All right.
- 1:44:47Leo's got, back to the win column and in, in D neutralizing K9.
- 1:44:52K9 couldn't handle the D.
- 1:44:54In Sam trowing…
- 1:44:56Oh, Sam throwing just one interception.
- 1:44:58If you put it on the screen, people, I'll read it.
- 1:45:00Screw you, San Diego.
- 1:45:02Dak Hawk in.
- 1:45:04Hawk's D on my fantasy team.
- 1:45:06That's gotta feel sweet.
- 1:45:08Oh, K9 also on my fantasy team.
- 1:45:10Less sweet.
- 1:45:11In K9's defense, though, he did dap everybody up before the game.
- 1:45:15Everybody acts like he didn't, like, see his boys at some point.
- 1:45:18Was he pissed off after the game and didn't wanna participate?
- 1:45:21Sure.
- 1:45:22But whatever.
- 1:45:23We also have, KDO here, in.
- 1:45:26T Knight with some great tackles, no doubt.
- 1:45:29Yes.
- 1:45:29Big MacDonald all ins and no outs.
- 1:45:32Well, we were almost no outs, but, just a tiny nitpicker.
- 1:45:36Ari Gomez in.
- 1:45:37K9 held to 36 yards.
- 1:45:40Go Hawks.
- 1:45:41That, to me, Clinton, was surprising.
- 1:45:44Like, I thought they'd hold him to under 100.
- 1:45:46Like, I thought he was gonna be that 80 to 90 range.
- 1:45:49He was still gonna be able to break off one, you know, have some- kind of
- 1:45:54regular success within the running game.
- 1:45:56I did not see 36 yards incoming.
- 1:45:59Apparently the dark side defense got in touch with their inner Michael Jordan.
- 1:46:03They took that- [catfish]
- 1:46:05Clinton: Yeah, I was completely with you.
- 1:46:07I, I thought, I thought he'd still go for 80, 90 and have a
- 1:46:09nice game, and nope, he did not.
- 1:46:12Not at all.
- 1:46:13So, yeah, I, I like the, I like the outcome that we delivered better,
- 1:46:17but I didn't expect it, to be honest.
- 1:46:18We got Shenanigans with an, "In, I take back every mean thing I've
- 1:46:23ever said about Anthony Bradford."
- 1:46:24Thank you.
- 1:46:25Thank you.
- 1:46:26"In, Emmanwori will be my next puppy's name 'cause he's got that dog in him."
- 1:46:30"In, best- Pretty good … defense in the league, K9 completely
- 1:46:34neutralized, and Mahomes having, having…
- 1:46:38Wait, having looks Collinsworth had never…"
- 1:46:41Right.
- 1:46:41Okay.
- 1:46:42He's saying the way he looked and looking basically mystified, and Collinsworth
- 1:46:46calling out that he's only seen that look a couple times, so very funny.
- 1:46:49And, "In, offense looked steady and Sam looked comfy against the fifth ranked D."
- 1:46:55Absolutely correct.
- 1:46:56All great points by our boy there.
- 1:46:58We got KNTS TP, "In, barnyard success times three."
- 1:47:03Yes, that was great.
- 1:47:04And Lisa in Seattle, JSN, jiggy with it.
- 1:47:07"In," saying, "My baby."
- 1:47:10She loves herself some JSN.
- 1:47:12She loves herself some Derick Hall.
- 1:47:15So between those two loves, I'd say Lisa had a pretty good night, Adam.
- 1:47:19Adam: Winning.
- 1:47:20All the way around- … winning.
- 1:47:21And, having a little JSN in your life, it sure does help things.
- 1:47:26Clinton: Perfect.
- 1:47:26All right.
- 1:47:26Take it away, dude.
- 1:47:27Adam: All right.
- 1:47:27We got 12 Man Records.
- 1:47:29"In, a third and 10 Cooper Kupp converse-
- 1:47:31Uh-huh … for a first down."
- 1:47:32That was a nice run- Big hands … and a good catch.
- 1:47:34Clinton: Big hands,
- 1:47:35Adam: yeah.
- 1:47:35Yeah.
- 1:47:35Good stuff by him there.
- 1:47:37And you all know how much that pains me.
- 1:47:39And, Byron Murphy with the big man play on KC's last drive, drove
- 1:47:44that guard right into Mahomes.
- 1:47:46W- we could've featured five Byron Murphy plays in three and three out.
- 1:47:50He's outrageous.
- 1:47:52Yeah.
- 1:47:52Right Hand Dan, "In, turns out Bradford was all we needed.
- 1:47:55Who knew?"
- 1:47:56"In, Chiefs never made the red zone."
- 1:47:59Never made the red zone.
- 1:48:01Not the end zone, the red zone.
- 1:48:03They never made the red zone, Clinton.
- 1:48:05Clinton: Yeah.
- 1:48:06And
- 1:48:06Adam: it's- That's insane
- 1:48:07Clinton: I, you know, didn't notice it real time, and then obviously post-game
- 1:48:10that was, that was the thing floating around and how it was the best, the
- 1:48:14worst performance ever in the Mahomes era, and the best f- on the other side
- 1:48:18of that, and h- why it was caused.
- 1:48:19It was just, man, it's, it's cool to take the time to reflect on this game
- 1:48:23because, it's one of those if, if we do the things we think this team can do,
- 1:48:30we will undoubtedly look back at this and be like, "Oh, do you remember week seven?
- 1:48:33We're three and three.
- 1:48:34Do you remember that game?"
- 1:48:35And it'll, and we will discuss that game.
- 1:48:38I won't say any more because y'all know what I'm getting at.
- 1:48:40All right, we got Nate Schutz saying, "In," and Nate's with us
- 1:48:43live too, 'cause he's the man.
- 1:48:44He says, "In, first down throw to Kupp with him st- starting in the backfield."
- 1:48:49Yeah, Kupp had a couple nice ones there.
- 1:48:51"In 11 of 16 on third down.
- 1:48:53That's winning football."
- 1:48:54Sure is.
- 1:48:55Jeremy Evergreen, "In Wilson with 100 yards rushing while
- 1:48:59holding K9 to under 40.
- 1:49:01That was not on anybody's bingo card.
- 1:49:03Out the false starts on th- on the guards.
- 1:49:06The ball is right next to you.
- 1:49:07Watch it."
- 1:49:08That was a little frustrating.
- 1:49:10You know, Sundell had one, Zabel had one, Bradford had the head nod
- 1:49:14and put his head down in shame.
- 1:49:15Agree.
- 1:49:16Godzirwa Hawk is Mark.
- 1:49:18He's here with us.
- 1:49:19He's an executive live producer as well.
- 1:49:20He had a super chat earlier.
- 1:49:22Thank you, Mark.
- 1:49:22"In Anthony Bradford being a mauler for 90 minutes."
- 1:49:26He was throwing Bolton around for sure.
- 1:49:29"In Emmanwori playing every single defensive snap and killing it."
- 1:49:33I realized that later.
- 1:49:34He played…
- 1:49:35He was on the field for every snap.
- 1:49:37That's something.
- 1:49:37Out- K9 being a sore loser after the game and running to the locker
- 1:49:42room, which again, I know some people didn't like that too much.
- 1:49:45I just, you know, I don't, I'm not, I'm not torn up one
- 1:49:48way or the other what K9 does.
- 1:49:50You said it on, on the post-game, like, you know, he's a Chief now,
- 1:49:52so he can kick all the rocks.
- 1:49:54I love him as a Seahawk, but hey, now you're a Chief.
- 1:49:57Bye.
- 1:49:57Adam: Yep, bye.
- 1:49:58Clinton: We got one more to close this thing out.
- 1:50:01I thought this one was very, a, a good way to do it, apropos.
- 1:50:05So Adam, please take it away.
- 1:50:06Adam: All right.
- 1:50:07So CarCar's got it in, almost, that, like, firing Fleury and benching
- 1:50:11Sam would've been a horrible idea, and our coaching staff is smart.
- 1:50:16I'm not sure I totally follow that.
- 1:50:19Clinton: Well, s- so this came…
- 1:50:20She had that succession of three, two earlier.
- 1:50:22This was at the last one.
- 1:50:24Basically, there was all this call during, after the Broncos game
- 1:50:27of, "We should get rid of Fleury."
- 1:50:29Oh, yeah, yeah.
- 1:50:29"And we should bench Sam."
- 1:50:31And so that was all the talk, and talk, and talk, and she's like, "Well, maybe
- 1:50:34the ca- the calmer head's prevailing, and Mike kn- maybe Mike knows what
- 1:50:38he's doing," and maybe they just have, have a little talk, a little powwow
- 1:50:43inside, and say, "We're gonna play this a little bit differently," right?
- 1:50:46And get a wildly different result.
- 1:50:48And turns out Fleury does know what he's doing.
- 1:50:51It turns out Sam is a good quarterback.
- 1:50:53Certain things need to be right for that to be successful consistently, but I think
- 1:50:58we, again, I think we'll look back at week seven quite fondly is my guess, Adam.
- 1:51:03Adam: Oh, I think so, and look, man, as you said, I think we're gonna look back at
- 1:51:08this stage of the season, where everybody was having a little bit of a mini
- 1:51:11freak-out, and go, "That was darling."
- 1:51:14"You were so adorable.
- 1:51:15Like, what were you worried about?"
- 1:51:17Because baby, that was Seahawks football.
- 1:51:21Shocking, you know, decisive, relentless.
- 1:51:24It was a thing of beauty, and I can't wait to take that same bowl
- 1:51:29of ingredients and throw it at the Bears and watch them choke on it.
- 1:51:33Because they're gonna choke the life out of Caleb Williams and out of Ben
- 1:51:36Johnson, and this battle of the geniuses on each side of the ball is gonna be
- 1:51:41a gigantic dub for one Mike Macdonald.
- 1:51:44And I think with that…
- 1:51:45There's only one thing left to say Go Hawks.
- 1:51:48Go Hawks.
