It was the point spread that really surprised me. But if you look at their stat

So, both teams, both FCS teams who were in the national championship last year

traveled to FBS programs in the Mountain West this weekend. Both of them getting a win.

I thought it might get ugly, but Nevada kind of settled in and played really

tough down the stretch for the rest of the game.

Obviously, being on the ground there, what were your kind of knee-jerk thoughts there?

Yeah, pretty upsetting there at the first half, So their starting quarterback

was out, played with another kid, which was fine, but he just did not look comfortable.

They put the other backup in in the second half, and it really turned the tide of the game.

And it's too bad maybe he didn't play in the first half, or they had got better

quarterback play because in the end of it all, they actually outgained MSU in yardage.

And you wouldn't think there'd be a game that would be that tight,

so to speak, and have a team outrush MSU, and they did.

And so I think at the end of it all, it came down to flat out,

came down to the turnovers, and then really underperforming on fourth down.

What is surprising, though, again, in the fourth quarter, they gave up 19 points.

It was just a very even game when it was all said and done.
