  Quite often, I think about the way I live my life as a Christian,

  as a person who believes in our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

  And I think about the time when I preached for the first time,

  when I delivered a devotional message to my congregation.

  I remember sitting up there and trying to dress the part, look the part, act the part.

  And it wasn't until about two or three times I stood up there that when I would

  watch myself over and over again and critique how I read things, how I said things,
• 0:38
  that I realized I'm not up there for angel.

  That's not my purpose.
• 0:45
  I'm not trying to win the approval of human beings.
• 0:49
  I'm trying to be a vessel and a servant of Jesus Christ.

  How do you feel you live your life? Do you fulfill your life in the eyes of our Lord and Savior?

  Good morning, everyone.

  Yeah, I'm at work. It's 1.03 in the morning, and after reading Galatians,

  I started thinking about an episode, and here we are.

  You know, I'm reading right from Galatians 5, and I'm going to read Galatians
• 2:49
  5, verses 13 through 18. The word of the Lord.

  You, my brothers and sisters, were called to be free, but do not use your freedom to indulge the flesh.

  Rather, serve one another humbly in love.
• 3:04
  For the eternal love, the eternal law, is fulfilled in keeping this one command.

  Love your neighbor as yourself if you

  bite and devour each other watch out
• 3:17
  or you will be destroyed by each other so i

  say walk by the spirit and you will not gratify the desires of the flesh for
• 3:26
  the flesh desires what is contrary to the spirit and the spirit what is contrary

  to the flesh they are in conflict with each other so that you are not to do whatever you want,

  but if you are led by the spirit, you are not under the law.

  Thanks be to God. Word to the Lord. Guys, you know, one of the things that I
• 3:48
  thought was fascinating in Galatians, and I encourage you to read it,
• 3:51
  it's very short, but what a power punch is what I want to talk to you about today.

  You know, we all try to live our life by the spirit.
• 4:01
  We all try to do what's best by living the life of the Bible,
• 4:07
  just to put it in layman's terms.
• 4:10
  And I feel like it's very difficult to do that. And we want to do it. We try to do it.

  Sometimes I hate to say it, but it almost feels like it's impossible.
• 4:21
  But then again, nothing is impossible when you have God on your side.
• 4:26
  But let's be real. We all think that way at times, right? And as I was reading
• 4:30
  this and doing my homework,
• 4:32
  I thought about the fruit of the spirit, which is also brought up again in Galatians
• 4:36
  5, which is verses 22 through 25. I encourage you to read that.
• 4:43
  And I said to myself, when we all read the Bible, we interpret it in different ways.

  We have our own perceptions, our own way of the way we think about the way the
• 4:55
  Bible's read, even though it's the same words we're reading.
• 4:58
  And yet a lot of us don't voice our opinions. We don't communicate with one
• 5:03
  another on how the Bible makes you feel.
• 5:06
  And we assume that the way we live our life, whether it's exactly the way God
• 5:12
  intends us to live, which is, you know, fulfilling the Bible and living their
• 5:17
  life by the way the Bible teaches us to.
• 5:20
  But it doesn't mean that we have failed when we try to live our life that way.
• 5:26
  It doesn't mean that when we are off the tracks or off the road,
• 5:30
  off the beaten path, that we can't get back on.
• 5:34
  That's why God has put people around us because by putting people around us, it keeps us grounded.
• 5:42
  Case in point when I work at my job and I'm not feeling like I'm filling my
• 5:46
  spiritual duties or I feel like I'm falling behind I have Nick next to me I've got Dr.
• 5:52
  E I've got people that God has surrounded me around around me to keep me pulled
• 5:57
  in I got Diane pulling me back I got everybody reminding me I got Pastor Jim
• 6:02
  I got Joe I got the congregation I got there's people around me,
• 6:06
  that continue to keep me on the right track.
• 6:10
  So what's the purpose of today's episode? Because I'm like kind of like all over the place, right?

  Purpose is, is that no matter how many times we feel that we are not fulfilling
• 6:19
  the way the Bible is asking us to live, that doesn't mean that you're failing or have failed.
• 6:25
  It just means that you need to remind yourself, just like I'm reminding all
• 6:29
  of you, that we are all human and we all make mistakes.
• 6:32
  We all are not perfect, but we can try our very best to get back on the road,
• 6:39
  to learn from our mistakes and know this,
• 6:43
  God loves us, God believes in us, God trusts us and God is never gonna leave your side.
