- 0:01Through long habit. And through a process of
- 0:04socialization, we desire and expect that a specific path of
- 0:09development, can be placed in front of us.
- 0:12To guide us systematically along a predetermined track and that
- 0:17this path is suitable for everyone.
- 0:21We therefore believe that our accepted form of worship are
- 0:26preferred religion, our systems of governance and economic
- 0:30management are the best and are suitable for everyone.
- 0:36This of course has led to countless disputes and wars in
- 0:40human history. When it comes to Inner
- 0:44development, the development of Consciousness.
- 0:47We apply these same somewhat faulty ideas to how this should
- 0:52occur with us. Expect everyone to have the same
- 0:56experience or else. We tend to treat other results
- 1:00as somehow either invalid or at least lesser results or method.
- 1:08The mother counters, this notion with a clear statement about the
- 1:11uniqueness of the experience, that brings an individual out of
- 1:14the surface Consciousness and opens up the Realms of the
- 1:18spirit to him, whatever the specific experience, If It Moves
- 1:24the individual away from the limitations of the body life,
- 1:28mine complex and the ego personality to seek for and
- 1:33internalized, the spiritual consciousness.
- 1:37It should be recognized as a valid and useful experience for
- 1:41the individual and not discount. It denigrated, or denied by
- 1:47those, who have a different entry to the spiritual realms.
- 1:52A disciple inquires mother, how to change one's consciousness.
- 1:58The mother responds, quote, naturally there are many ways
- 2:03but each person must do it by the means accessible to him and
- 2:07the indication of the way. Usually comes spontaneously
- 2:11through something like an unexpected experience and for
- 2:15each one it appears a little differently.
- 2:20For instance, one may have the perception of the ordinary
- 2:24Consciousness, which is extended on the surface horizontally and
- 2:28works on a plane, which is simultaneously, the surface of
- 2:32things, and has a contact with the superficial outer side of
- 2:37things, people circumstances. And then suddenly for some
- 2:43reason, or other, as I say, for each one, it is different.
- 2:47There is a shifting upwards and instead of seeing things
- 2:51horizontally of being at the same level as they are, you
- 2:56suddenly dominate them and see them from above in their
- 3:00totality instead of seeing a small number of things
- 3:04immediately next to yourself. It is as though something were
- 3:09drawing you above and making UCS from a Mountaintop or an
- 3:13aeroplane. And instead of seeing each
- 3:16detail and seeing it on its own level, you see, the whole is one
- 3:21unity and from far above There are many ways of having this
- 3:27experience, but it usually comes to you as if by chance One Fine
- 3:31Day. Or else.
- 3:35One may have an experience which is almost it's very opposite but
- 3:39which comes to the same thing suddenly one plunges into a
- 3:44depth when moves away from the thing.
- 3:46One perceived it seems distant, superficial unimportant.
- 3:52When enters an inner silence or an inner calm, or an inward
- 3:58vision of things, a profound feeling a more intimate.
- 4:03Emmett perception of circumstances and things in,
- 4:06which all values change. And one becomes aware of a sort
- 4:12of unity, a deep identity, which is one in spite of the diverse
- 4:16appearances. Or else suddenly.
- 4:20Also the sense of limitation disappears and one enters the
- 4:26perception of a kind of indefinite duration,
- 4:29beginningless and endless of something, which is always been
- 4:35and always will be In quote, reference SRI aurobindo and the
- 4:42mother growing within the psychology of inner development.
