- 0:03Speaker 1: All right, well, well, the two trailers for you here.
- 0:10Speaker 2: Okay, the first one I can't play.
- 0:13Speaker 1: Okay, Well, because the Federal Communication Commission is convinced that
- 0:17Speaker 1: you've that you're nine years old and you've never heard
- 0:21Speaker 1: these words, especially uttered from a politician's mouse. Yeah, you've
- 0:25Speaker 1: never heard these words before. And that is the trailer
- 0:27Speaker 1: for The Running Man, Glenn Powell is taking over. It's
- 0:33Speaker 1: it's a remake. Well, it's it's more based on the book, really,
- 0:37Speaker 1: Stephen King book The Running Man, so they're staying a
- 0:40Speaker 1: little more close to the book. Uh, it's it looks
- 0:44Speaker 1: like a lot of fun, I'll be honest with you.
- 0:46Speaker 1: Plays Ben Richards, the latest contestant in a reality game
- 0:49Speaker 1: show where people avoid bounty hunters sent to kill them.
- 0:54Speaker 3: Uh and uh, if you're successful at avoiding them, yeah
- 0:58Speaker 3: you win.
- 0:58Speaker 1: Richards is is in the game to win money to
- 1:01Speaker 1: pay for his kids medicine. There's a lot of bounty
- 1:05Speaker 1: hunters and they're not letting up on him or his
- 1:07Speaker 1: fellow runners played by Daniel Ezra Katie O'Brien. But if
- 1:10Speaker 1: he can get that cash prize, it'll be worth it,
- 1:12Speaker 1: much to the delight of the show's producer Killian played
- 1:15Speaker 1: by Josh Brolin and host Bobby Coleman. Domingo Richards is
- 1:21Speaker 1: a rating hit, but the longer he toughs it out,
- 1:24Speaker 1: the more of an inspiration he becomes to fellow working
- 1:27Speaker 1: class people. That's a problem watching him on TV, which
- 1:30Speaker 1: starts looking like a problem for the wealthy. Also starring
- 1:34Speaker 1: Michael Sarah, Jamie Lawson, William H. Macy, Running Man is
- 1:37Speaker 1: in theater November seven. If that was Arnold Schwarzenegger, was it?
- 1:40Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 1:41Speaker 1: Now that trailer I can't play for you because of
- 1:43Speaker 1: the Federal Communications Commission. This one, however, I can. Unfortunately
- 1:47Speaker 1: it's only thirty seconds long, but it gives you a
- 1:50Speaker 1: look at the animation of this new series called Eyes
- 1:54Speaker 1: of Wakanda.
- 1:59Speaker 2: Wakanda.
- 2:02Speaker 4: He's a Kingdom love man secret.
- 2:21Speaker 1: Isaabah Conda comes to Director Ryan Koudler is involved in
- 2:26Speaker 1: this and it comes to Disney Plus on August twenty seventh,
- 2:30Speaker 1: And it's it's one of those where they take an
- 2:32Speaker 1: episode and tell a story. It's not just the Black Panther.
- 2:36Speaker 2: Or anything like that.
- 2:37Speaker 1: It's it's you know, the door of malage, black panther, vibranium,
- 2:41Speaker 1: you know, all kinds of things happening in this African nation.
- 2:44Speaker 1: So and it looks great. Isaabah Conda Debuse Disney Plus
- 2:49Speaker 1: August twenty seventh. Now I've got a couple of kind
- 2:54Speaker 1: of interesting stories here.
- 2:56Speaker 2: Okay, you know Megan two. Yep, Megan Too was released.
- 3:03Speaker 1: And Blumhouse thought for sure that they had a hit
- 3:05Speaker 1: on their hand. They were going to build an entire
- 3:08Speaker 1: Megan universe.
- 3:09Speaker 2: Well, the first one was really popular. First was really popular.
- 3:12Speaker 2: This one not so much. I kind of just saying yeah.
- 3:16Speaker 1: And Jason Blum in an interview recently said, yeah, we kind.
- 3:21Speaker 2: Of screwed up.
- 3:23Speaker 1: We all thought Megan was like Superman. We could do
- 3:25Speaker 1: anything with her. We could change genres, we could put
- 3:28Speaker 1: her in the summer. We could make her look different,
- 3:30Speaker 1: we could turn her from a bad guy into a
- 3:33Speaker 1: good guy. We kind of classically overthought how powerful people's
- 3:37Speaker 1: engagement really was with her. We had more faith in
- 3:41Speaker 1: her than the audience, basically is what he's saying.
- 3:44Speaker 2: But yeah, he.
- 3:45Speaker 1: Says, we kind of screwed up, and that's kind of
- 3:47Speaker 1: put all the other projects that are even in the
- 3:50Speaker 1: Megan universe on hold.
- 3:53Speaker 2: So yeah, he's they're.
- 3:55Speaker 1: Licking their wounds over a Blumhouse, which doesn't happen that often.
- 3:58Speaker 2: And let's see.
- 4:00Speaker 1: In the wake of the controversial receive second season of
- 4:03Speaker 1: HBO's Last of Us, which I don't understand why it's controversial.
- 4:07Speaker 2: I think it's been a great season.
- 4:09Speaker 1: Series co creator and executive producer Neil Druckman has announced
- 4:12Speaker 1: that he'll be stepping away ahead of production on season three.
- 4:17Speaker 2: Uh.
- 4:17Speaker 1: He said that he's he's got to get back to
- 4:19Speaker 1: the games division because he's the guy who wrote the game.
- 4:24Speaker 2: Why you know that.
- 4:25Speaker 1: Yeah, he's been heavily involved in the show, and he said,
- 4:27Speaker 1: I realize I'm I've been.
- 4:31Speaker 2: My actual job and I got to get back. I
- 4:33Speaker 2: think they're asking him to leave.
- 4:35Speaker 1: I wouldn't be surprised if there's some sort of contention,
- 4:39Speaker 1: because he's always said, as long as I'm involved, we're
- 4:41Speaker 1: going to stick to the game, do it exactly. And
- 4:44Speaker 1: a lot of the shots in the TV show are
- 4:47Speaker 1: just taken right from the game. And I kind of
- 4:50Speaker 1: wonder if it's unspoken that you know, he's he's become
- 4:54Speaker 1: difficult and they did ask him to step away.
- 4:56Speaker 2: That's kind of what I'm gessing.
- 4:58Speaker 3: You know, the reason that people didn't like the second
- 5:01Speaker 3: season as much. Is that Pedro Pascal was gone for
- 5:06Speaker 3: most of it. Could be but anyway, all right, he
- 5:09Speaker 3: really I think he was the drug. He's the driving
- 5:11Speaker 3: force of that thing.
- 5:12Speaker 2: People love Pedro.
- 5:14Speaker 1: And speaking of movies that are just not quite there yet,
- 5:18Speaker 1: Scarlett Johansson is out being interviewed for this Jurassic Park
- 5:21Speaker 1: movie that she's in.
- 5:22Speaker 2: Sean means he'll be here in a bit to review.
- 5:24Speaker 1: It about a half hour and somebody asked her about
- 5:29Speaker 1: the Tower of Terror movie.
- 5:32Speaker 2: Was she in the Tower of Terror? She's involved.
- 5:34Speaker 1: She's one of the producers really, and she's going to
- 5:37Speaker 1: be in it.
- 5:38Speaker 2: And this is all based on the Disneyland ride that's
- 5:40Speaker 2: not there anymore.
- 5:41Speaker 1: Well, it's not there at Disneyland in Florida and other
- 5:46Speaker 1: parks and as a matter of fact, Tokyo Disneyland has
- 5:48Speaker 1: Tower of Terror as well. But during a recent interview,
- 5:51Speaker 1: she said, you know, so what's taking so long?
- 5:55Speaker 2: Here's what she said.
- 5:55Speaker 1: It's a hard nut to crack, harder than you think
- 5:58Speaker 1: because the ride itself, there's some more to it, but
- 6:01Speaker 1: it's I don't want to say thin, but it's thin,
- 6:06Speaker 1: but it is kind of she says that's part of
- 6:09Speaker 1: the mystery of the ride. It's been a fun project
- 6:11Speaker 1: to work on because it's a blue sky project. It's
- 6:13Speaker 1: also proved to be a hard nut to crack, but
- 6:15Speaker 1: we'll crack the case of it. It is taking shape,
- 6:18Speaker 1: so okay, okay
- 6:22Speaker 2: Good luck with that scarlet
