- 2:18Dayna Roselli: What do you prefer when you do your numbers?
- 2:20Sean McAllister: Uh I I would usually just say 110.
- 2:23Sean McAllister: 110.
- 2:24Dayna Roselli: Dana Roselli here and Sean McAllister for episode 110.
- 2:29Dayna Roselli: I don't know.
- 2:30Dayna Roselli: I feel like 110 sounds more like exciting.
- 2:33Sean McAllister: It definitely gets the point across that we have well over a hundred episodes in the can, huh?
- 2:38Dayna Roselli: I know.
- 2:39Dayna Roselli: I can't believe it.
- 2:40Dayna Roselli: Boy, we're still recovering after a 40th anniversary party that we attended over at Piero's, an iconic Las Vegas restaurant.
- 2:48Sean McAllister: What a night.
- 2:49Dayna Roselli: That was fun, right?
- 2:51Sean McAllister: Limos coming through, champagne bottles popping.
- 2:55Sean McAllister: It was an event.
- 2:56Dayna Roselli: Yeah, I mean, Las Vegas is a finest.
- 2:59Dayna Roselli: We're there.
- 2:59Dayna Roselli: You know, we've got stories.
- 3:00Dayna Roselli: We're going to talk about that.
- 3:01Dayna Roselli: We've got some interviews coming up too.
- 3:03Dayna Roselli: We ran into Mark Davis, the owner of the Raiders, got an interview with him.
- 3:07Dayna Roselli: So some good stuff coming up.
- 3:09Dayna Roselli: But first, Sean, I know you want me to give my firsthand account of the Chippendales 20th anniversary.
- 3:16Sean McAllister: Yeah, so this is something that we mentioned last week on the podcast.
- 3:20Sean McAllister: We mentioned that you were going to be going to the big uh anniversary celebration over there at the Rio All Suite Hotel and Casino where the Chippendales have that's been their home since like 2002.
- 3:35Sean McAllister: Have the Chippendales aged a little better than the Rio?
- 3:39Dayna Roselli: Yes, they have.
- 3:41Dayna Roselli: That is my answer.
- 3:42Dayna Roselli: I mean, listen, I was walking through the Rio and great place, just a lot of emptiness in certain spots.
- 3:49Dayna Roselli: And I know we've talked about it before that we think possibly that the Rio is on the way out at some point.
- 3:56Dayna Roselli: Like they're getting ready to unload it or knock it down or turn it into something else or do a refurbish.
- 4:03Dayna Roselli: We aren't quite sure.
- 4:04Dayna Roselli: But anyway, the Rio used to have a lot going on.
- 4:08Dayna Roselli: They had you know the masquerade in the sky and a lot of different you know, that was great.
- 4:12Sean McAllister: Listen, I had uh many, many, many, many nights at the Rio over the years.
- 4:20Sean McAllister: That center bar.
- 4:21Dayna Roselli: Yeah, oh, that was fun.
- 4:23Sean McAllister: That was so much fun with the go-go dancers up on the tables.
- 4:26Dayna Roselli: But anyway, um, yes, the Chip and Dows look great and were fantastic.
- 4:31Dayna Roselli: I just want to say, like, I haven't been since before the pandemic, you know?
- 4:35Dayna Roselli: And I know there was a period where they were doing the show with the whole mask thing and distance.
- 4:40Dayna Roselli: And we'd I just never bothered going um because I was like, you know, well, I'm gonna go.
- 4:44Dayna Roselli: And it was a perfect time to go for the 20th anniversary because now the masks are off and uh the clothes always comes off.
- 4:52Sean McAllister: Two, yeah.
- 4:53Dayna Roselli: But anyway, um, listen, it was great.
- 4:55Dayna Roselli: I loved it.
- 4:56Dayna Roselli: They've done some some changes to Chippendale's.
- 4:59Dayna Roselli: You know, Vinny was there from Jersey Shore hosting again.
- 5:01Dayna Roselli: Right.
- 5:02Dayna Roselli: And I'm not gonna lie, we were all, I don't want to say shocked, but like, wow, Vinny looks freaking good.
- 5:11Dayna Roselli: Now I'm not saying he looked bad before, but I saw him host the show in the past, and I thought, okay, Vinny looks good, great job.
- 5:18Dayna Roselli: But we were all like in our row, and I'm talking about friends and journalists and writers, and my cousin was here.
- 5:26Dayna Roselli: We were all like, whoa, Vinny looks really good this round of Chip and Dale.
- 5:34Dayna Roselli: So I know he's been doing some jump rope, and he's still doing the keto, but he does this scene, Sean, where he's like in a shower facing the other way, right?
- 5:46Dayna Roselli: So the audience butts out to the audience, little, you know, and then the lighting is like purple and it's like mysterious.
- 5:52Dayna Roselli: But then he does a turnaround, which I felt like, whoa.
- 5:57Dayna Roselli: But he's you know, covering areas, but the water's like dripping down, the ab six pack is in like in full effect.
- 6:06Dayna Roselli: It was a whole thing, and then the lights go off.
- 6:08Dayna Roselli: But anyway, it was um very sultry.
- 6:11Sean McAllister: Uh-huh.
- 6:12Sean McAllister: It sounds like it.
- 6:13Dayna Roselli: Yes, very sexy.
- 6:15Dayna Roselli: So, anyway, that was a great addition.
- 6:17Dayna Roselli: The girls loved it, the guys loved it.
- 6:19Dayna Roselli: There were just as many guys in the audience as girls, and actually, for a couple of the audience participation things, a couple guys went up on stage.
- 6:25Dayna Roselli: It was funny for the twerking contest and all sorts of stuff.
- 6:28Dayna Roselli: But listen, the whole crew was great.
- 6:29Dayna Roselli: Uh, really, I thought the cast was fantastic.
- 6:32Dayna Roselli: My friend John Howes is still in the show.
- 6:34Dayna Roselli: He's always great.
- 6:35Dayna Roselli: Um, the music was great.
- 6:37Dayna Roselli: They got rid of a few numbers, they added a few numbers.
- 6:40Dayna Roselli: They still got the construction workers, don't worry.
- 6:43Dayna Roselli: And, you know, the the tuxie, the iconic tuxie, you know, bow tie with the shirt off and all that kind of thing.
- 6:50Dayna Roselli: So it was a good time.
- 6:52Dayna Roselli: Um, if you've never been to Shippendales, it is a show.
- 6:56Dayna Roselli: I actually had um my other cousin didn't want to go.
- 6:59Dayna Roselli: She's like, oh, it's a little risque.
- 7:01Dayna Roselli: You know, I'm she was getting together with another friend.
- 7:03Dayna Roselli: And I'm like, I think a lot of people think like that it's more risque than it is.
- 7:10Dayna Roselli: Yes.
- 7:10Dayna Roselli: Do you understand what I mean?
- 7:11Dayna Roselli: Yeah.
- 7:11Sean McAllister: Yeah, I think people uh think that you're going into like a CD strip club where you're gonna be putting dollar bills down the G strings and there's like gyrating like things in your face.
- 7:26Sean McAllister: And it's not like that.
- 7:27Dayna Roselli: No.
- 7:28Sean McAllister: It's a production.
- 7:29Dayna Roselli: It's a production show, yeah.
- 7:30Dayna Roselli: I mean, there's some gyration.
- 7:32Sean McAllister: Well, there's there is gyration.
- 7:34Sean McAllister: But it's not like it's not like things are like flying at you.
- 7:39Dayna Roselli: No, no, that and they're on stage, yeah.
- 7:41Dayna Roselli: So I mean there's lots of and it's it's well done.
- 7:44Dayna Roselli: Yes, exactly what you're saying.
- 7:45Dayna Roselli: I think some people think it's that.
- 7:47Dayna Roselli: So anyway, it's a great show.
- 7:49Dayna Roselli: It's a great time out.
- 7:50Dayna Roselli: I always say, and I can tell by the people around me, you don't really think like you have it in you until you're there, and you're like, okay, yeah, all sorts of feelings are happening right now.
- 8:01Sean McAllister: Well, listen, I have seen I have been to that show many times.
- 8:05Sean McAllister: I've had friends who've, you know, been in the cast over the years, and there are uh inhibitions that are just let go.
- 8:16Dayna Roselli: Yes.
- 8:17Sean McAllister: Uh people in the audience, they just let their freak flag fly, and they get all into it.
- 8:26Sean McAllister: And but that's part of the experience.
- 8:28Dayna Roselli: I was gonna say, which adds to it.
- 8:30Dayna Roselli: It does, it does add to it because you're you know, you're cheering on the girl that gets the confidence to go up on stage and uh well, there's so many different numbers that were introduced.
- 8:39Dayna Roselli: I'm not gonna talk about.
- 8:40Dayna Roselli: We have a couple on our TikTok.
- 8:42Dayna Roselli: Go to our TikTok, Vegas Revealed, and check out Vinny.
- 8:46Dayna Roselli: I do have a video that I cannot post of the shower scene.
- 8:50Dayna Roselli: Oh.
- 8:51Dayna Roselli: I'm gonna leave that as like the surprise to get people there.
- 8:54Dayna Roselli: Okay but listen, uh, Vinny does a great job.
- 8:56Dayna Roselli: You know, he he's from Jersey Shore, he's known for being a little cocky, which makes it fun, you know?
- 9:03Sean McAllister: And uh guess it helps to be cocky if you're in the Chippendale show.
- 9:07Dayna Roselli: Exactly.
- 9:07Dayna Roselli: So, and he looks great.
- 9:08Dayna Roselli: Good for you for putting in the work and and and being there and having the confidence to do that.
- 9:13Dayna Roselli: It's a good time.
- 9:14Dayna Roselli: So, congratulations to the Chippendales.
- 9:16Dayna Roselli: 20 years at the Rio.
- 9:18Dayna Roselli: And if the Rio does close or move or get knocked down or whatever, I hope the Chippendales find a really cool place because they should just keep going.
- 9:27Dayna Roselli: That is Vegas.
- 9:27Sean McAllister: Oh, Chippendales will endure without a doubt.
- 9:31Sean McAllister: And congratulations to our uh friend and Chippendales publicist, uh Michael Caprio, too.
- 9:38Sean McAllister: He has worked so hard on that show, with that show for so many years.
- 9:43Sean McAllister: So congratulations to everybody involved.
- 9:46Dayna Roselli: He was corralling us in, Sean.
- 9:47Dayna Roselli: It's eight o'clock, gotta go, because there's two shows tonight.
- 9:50Dayna Roselli: Like he's so good.
- 9:51Dayna Roselli: He's so good at just keeping everyone on time.
- 9:54Sean McAllister: Well, it's tough when the cocktails are flowing at the bar.
- 9:57Sean McAllister: It's tough to get people moving sometimes.
- 9:59Sean McAllister: It is.
- 10:00Sean McAllister: Speaking of cocktails flowing at the bar, that is exactly what was happening uh earlier this week, as one of the most iconic restaurants in all of Las Vegas celebrated a major milestone.
- 10:14Sean McAllister: 40 years of Piero's Italian cuisine.
- 10:18Dayna Roselli: Unbelievable.
- 10:19Dayna Roselli: We were able to talk to Evan, who is the son of Freddie, who owns Piero's.
- 10:26Dayna Roselli: And he was telling us that Piero's used to be it just down the road in a different location.
- 10:30Dayna Roselli: They opened it, they didn't know how it was gonna do.
- 10:32Sean McAllister: Yeah, closer to downtown.
- 10:33Dayna Roselli: Yeah, and it used to be you know just such a hop and spot where everyone loved it, and then they ended up having to expand and move.
- 10:39Dayna Roselli: But and and he talked a lot about how they've been even offered to open more than one Pieros because people love it so much, but they keep it to just one spot.
- 10:48Dayna Roselli: And we discussed also how hard it is to keep a restaurant open for 40 years, especially in Las Vegas.
- 10:54Dayna Roselli: This party was great, right?
- 10:55Dayna Roselli: All sorts of celebs were there.
- 10:57Sean McAllister: I mean, it was it it was a VIP party.
- 11:02Sean McAllister: I there were VIPs there who you don't usually see at a lot of the VIP like media events.
- 11:10Sean McAllister: Exactly.
- 11:11Sean McAllister: Because these VIPs are like next level Vegas VIPs.
- 11:15Dayna Roselli: Right.
- 11:16Dayna Roselli: The limos were coming and going.
- 11:18Sean McAllister: The families that built Las Vegas, literally.
- 11:21Dayna Roselli: Literally, right, literally.
- 11:22Dayna Roselli: I mean, it really is amazing and to chat with them and just to see be out with them, and their energy just continues.
- 11:29Dayna Roselli: They just to love Las Vegas.
- 11:31Dayna Roselli: These are the people that embrace Las Vegas for everything that it is from beginning to now, and and and it's so great to see.
- 11:38Dayna Roselli: This party was great.
- 11:39Dayna Roselli: There must have been 400 to 500 people there.
- 11:42Dayna Roselli: And Piero's isn't huge, it has many rooms, but it isn't like huge, and so it was packed in there, which made it so much fun.
- 11:49Dayna Roselli: The food looked delicious, was delicious, and Pia Zodora was there.
- 11:56Sean McAllister: She was.
- 11:57Sean McAllister: Yeah.
- 11:57Sean McAllister: The Golden Globe winner, Pia Zodora, who has called Las Vegas home for many, many years now.
- 12:03Sean McAllister: I know you and I have each interviewed her uh several times over the years.
- 12:08Sean McAllister: We were right there to greet her as she pulled up to the party.
- 12:12Sean McAllister: I know thigh-high white boots.
- 12:14Dayna Roselli: I know.
- 12:15Dayna Roselli: She looked great.
- 12:16Dayna Roselli: Yeah, she was happy to be out.
- 12:17Dayna Roselli: She hadn't been out in a while, and she said Pia's place is coming back to Piero.
- 12:21Dayna Roselli: She announced that up on stage, which means she does a little show there in the lounge in the monkey bar area where they had the performances, and she loves doing it, and she said that she'll be back.
- 12:30Dayna Roselli: So we were excited to hear that.
- 12:32Dayna Roselli: Then we also caught up with Mark Davis, the owner of the Raiders, was there.
- 12:36Sean McAllister: Yeah, he was there.
- 12:37Sean McAllister: Says that Piero's is almost like a second home for him.
- 12:42Sean McAllister: Uh over the years, there have been family events held there, and now that he's around, the food is kind of become almost a staple for him.
- 12:53SPEAKER_05: I live in the neighborhood and uh I love it here.
- 12:57SPEAKER_05: My father would have his uh birthday parties here every five years.
- 13:00SPEAKER_05: He would have a 60th, 70th, 65th, 70th birthday party, and he would bring in a bunch of uh Raider alumni and players and stuff, but we'd celebrate his birthday every five years, and one of the nights we would have dinner here at Piero's for the whole group.
- 13:16Dayna Roselli: We always see Mark Davis out and about, love to see that, but it was nice to catch up with him and really hear about you know why he loves this place.
- 13:23Sean McAllister: Yeah, and listen, Mark has become such a huge supporter of the Las Vegas community, and I love that Piero's is like his go-to spot.
- 13:32Dayna Roselli: Isn't that cool?
- 13:33Dayna Roselli: I uh me too.
- 13:34Dayna Roselli: And you know, he was running into everyone there, chatting it up.
- 13:36Dayna Roselli: But it's just been great to have him as a part of the community, I think.
- 13:39Sean McAllister: Yeah, it has been.
- 13:40Sean McAllister: We also spoke, Dana, with Evan and Freddie Glossman.
- 13:45Sean McAllister: This is uh Evan is the son of Freddie who opened Piero's 40 years ago, and who has turned the restaurant into such an iconic place for so many residents of Las Vegas and celebrities too.
- 14:02Dayna Roselli: Yeah, everyone we talked to said we come over and over again because of Freddy.
- 14:06Dayna Roselli: Freddie's the reason here, you know, and the food.
- 14:09Dayna Roselli: They love the food too.
- 14:10Dayna Roselli: So we talked to Evan and then uh Freddie, like uh Sean mentioned.
- 14:15Dayna Roselli: And Freddie took a he everything we talked to Freddie about, Sean, he's such a funny guy, a sarcastic He's a jokester.
- 14:21Dayna Roselli: He's a jokester, yes.
- 14:23Sean McAllister: He likes to pull your leg a little bit.
- 14:25Dayna Roselli: So it took like seven minutes for us to like actually get a legitimate answer out of him, which was so much fun.
- 14:31Dayna Roselli: But uh let's listen to Evan and Freddie talk about Piero's 40th anniversary.
- 14:37SPEAKER_00: My dad started it, you know, 40 years ago.
- 14:39SPEAKER_00: He was here every night.
- 14:40SPEAKER_00: Um, he still is here every night.
- 14:42SPEAKER_00: You know, I'm here most nights.
- 14:44SPEAKER_00: Um, and it's you know, my staff has all been here 20, 30 years.
- 14:48SPEAKER_00: So you know, you know what you're gonna get at Piero's.
- 14:51SPEAKER_00: Uh the food is incredible, the the service is impeccable, but it's the vibe, it's the people, it's the customers, it's the owners, it's just what works.
- 15:00SPEAKER_00: So that's what keeps people coming back.
- 15:03SPEAKER_00: This thing could not be duplicated.
- 15:05SPEAKER_00: If I wanted to go open this in another city, which we've been offered a million times, without myself there or my dad there, or just Piero's really is magical.
- 15:14SPEAKER_00: Everybody has a memory.
- 15:16SPEAKER_00: Um it's home.
- 15:19SPEAKER_00: Piero's is my dad, you know, and Piero's is me, and eventually, hopefully, it's my children, but his personality shines through in everything he does.
- 15:27SPEAKER_00: Every customer is important to me.
- 15:31SPEAKER_01: They come back every year, every day, every week, every month.
- 15:37SPEAKER_01: They're great customers.
- 15:39SPEAKER_01: They're all my customers, and they're steady.
- 15:46SPEAKER_01: I've been in town a long time.
- 15:48SPEAKER_01: I know a lot of people.
- 15:50SPEAKER_01: I don't know if they like me, I really don't care as long as they spend money here.
- 15:54SPEAKER_01: Everything on the menu is delicious.
- 15:57SPEAKER_01: From the Osubuco to the real shop parmesan to everything.
- 16:04Sean McAllister: Big congratulations to the Glusman family for you know having this enduring iconic restaurant that has become a part of the fabric of Las Vegas.
- 16:17Sean McAllister: And if you're not familiar where Piero's is, it is down Convention Center Drive, right by the Las Vegas Convention Center.
- 16:26Sean McAllister: Um, it's one of the old school Italian spots, kind of dark inside, has like the low ceiling kind of feel.
- 16:34Sean McAllister: Like you can tell that there is history in those walls.
- 16:38Dayna Roselli: That is for sure.
- 16:39Dayna Roselli: And and we were chatting about that.
- 16:40Dayna Roselli: If the walls could talk, I mean he, you know, Freddie was telling us Frank Sinatra's been there, Dean Martin, Bobby Knight, Jerry Lewis.
- 16:48Dayna Roselli: It was one of his favorite spots, and the list goes on.
- 16:51Dayna Roselli: It's just a place that people have come year after year after year.
- 16:55Dayna Roselli: The mob apparently used to have secret meetings there, all sorts of stuff.
- 16:59Sean McAllister: The Kennedys would go there.
- 17:02Dayna Roselli: Well, this is a perfect transition.
- 17:03Dayna Roselli: You ready?
- 17:04Dayna Roselli: Okay.
- 17:05Dayna Roselli: Here we go.
- 17:12Dayna Roselli: You like that?
- 17:13Dayna Roselli: That's Duran Duran, Sean.
- 17:15Dayna Roselli: But notorious people have come to Piero's.
- 17:18Sean McAllister: That is very true.
- 17:20Dayna Roselli: I was looking up Duran Duran.
- 17:22Dayna Roselli: Like, do I have any Duran Duran songs?
- 17:23Dayna Roselli: And I'm like, oh, this is a perfect transition.
- 17:25Dayna Roselli: That's because Duran Duran's coming to Las Vegas.
- 17:28Sean McAllister: Yeah, the band's North American headlining tour is celebrating, man, four decades, 40 years of Duran Duran.
- 17:38Sean McAllister: They've been around just as long as Pieros have.
- 17:40Sean McAllister: I know.
- 17:41Sean McAllister: Geez.
- 17:43Dayna Roselli: I know.
- 17:43Dayna Roselli: And can you believe it?
- 17:44Dayna Roselli: They have uh another album out Future Past, it's called, right?
- 17:49Dayna Roselli: It's their 15th studio album.
- 17:52Dayna Roselli: It came out in 2021.
- 17:54Dayna Roselli: So they're doing this North American headlining tour.
- 17:56Dayna Roselli: People have been waiting for this, you know, since we got out of the pandemic and all that kind of thing.
- 18:01Dayna Roselli: And now they are making a stop at the win Labor Day weekend.
- 18:05Dayna Roselli: So Las Vegas is getting Duran Duran.
- 18:08Sean McAllister: Yeah, and it's two nights.
- 18:10Sean McAllister: Uh, it's on September 1st, and another show on September 3rd.
- 18:15Sean McAllister: Uh, and again, this is part of their uh North American headlining tour.
- 18:19Sean McAllister: Tickets for those shows are on sale March 25th, and you can go to duranduran.com and get all the information about their shows.
- 18:30Sean McAllister: Hopefully, you can catch them here in Vegas, though.
- 18:32Sean McAllister: And Dana, another legendary band that is stopping here in Las Vegas is Pearl Jam.
- 18:39Dayna Roselli: They're huge.
- 18:40Sean McAllister: They have postponed these tour dates.
- 18:44Sean McAllister: They're now just going out to fulfill all the dates that they had planned for their 2020 world tour, and now two years later, here they are able to do it.
- 18:55Dayna Roselli: And Las Vegas gets a stop, as we always do.
- 18:58Dayna Roselli: I love that.
- 18:59Dayna Roselli: May 20th, Pearl Jam's coming to the MGM Grand Garden Arena.
- 19:03Dayna Roselli: So get your tickets because they're probably go pretty fast.
- 19:06Dayna Roselli: Pearl Jam always sells out.
- 19:08Dayna Roselli: I'm excited to have Pearl Jam in town in Las Vegas.
- 19:11Dayna Roselli: We are now officially a part of the tour.
- 19:14Dayna Roselli: And so they have tour dates in May and uh apparently September.
- 19:20Dayna Roselli: And I think they even said for this, and I'm I'm not gonna even bother going to the release, but almost positive that they said something like, Whoever had tickets before just keeps them.
- 19:30Dayna Roselli: Oh, yeah.
- 19:30Dayna Roselli: I don't even know if they were doing like a general sale, public sale, it said something about there's a whole way that you have to go about and getting the tickets.
- 19:37Dayna Roselli: So it might be a little different than you're used to.
- 19:40Sean McAllister: So look it up.
- 19:41Sean McAllister: Yeah, is the moral of that story.
- 19:42Sean McAllister: Exactly.
- 19:43Sean McAllister: Uh last week here on the podcast, we talked about the iHeart Radio Music Festival, the Daytime Village, and some of the acts that had just been announced for that.
- 19:52Sean McAllister: While we were talking about that, we were mentioning that usually Life is Beautiful is that same time period.
- 19:59Sean McAllister: iHeartRadio Music Festival, Life is Beautiful, usually happening at the same time.
- 20:04Sean McAllister: And just a couple days ago, the lineup has been announced for Life is Beautiful, and uh there are some great acts part of this.
- 20:15Sean McAllister: Kelvin Harris, Gorillas, Lord, Jack Harlow, our buddy Kaigo, who was one of the first interviews we did here on Vegas Reveal, Dana.
- 20:25Dayna Roselli: I know, yeah, excited to see him back in town and doing that.
- 20:28Dayna Roselli: Uh Cage the Elephant will be there.
- 20:30Dayna Roselli: There's a whole list.
- 20:31Dayna Roselli: You gotta go to the Life is Beautiful website and check it out.
- 20:35Dayna Roselli: But, you know, tickets go on sale March 18th, but this is a hard one, Sean, because they go so quick and they do it in waves.
- 20:45Sean McAllister: Well, the early bird tickets that went on sale uh what was it, a month ago or so?
- 20:50Sean McAllister: Yeah, they sold out in 45 minutes.
- 20:53Dayna Roselli: Yeah.
- 20:53Dayna Roselli: That makes sense, and that sounds, you know, typical.
- 20:56Dayna Roselli: Um, but they do like because they do like the single tickets every now and then, but then a lot of them you have to buy the whole weekend.
- 21:03Dayna Roselli: So go to Life is Beautiful's website.
- 21:05Dayna Roselli: I feel like, you know, if you wanna look into it, instead of us trying to explain it all, go click on the ticket link and figure out when's the best time to buy.
- 21:14Dayna Roselli: But it's lifeisbeautiful.com.
- 21:17Dayna Roselli: And again, general sale on sale Friday, March 18th.
- 21:22Sean McAllister: So And if the ticket price, if it seems a little steep for you, guess what?
- 21:26Sean McAllister: Life is Beautiful does a layaway plan.
- 21:29Dayna Roselli: I love that.
- 21:30Dayna Roselli: I love it.
- 21:31Sean McAllister: So Life is Beautiful taking over downtown Las Vegas uh September 16th through the 18th.
- 21:39Sean McAllister: And that's always very highly anticipated.
- 21:41Sean McAllister: Lots of people look forward to that every year.
- 21:44Dayna Roselli: All right, let's get to some tips.
- 21:50Sean McAllister: And Dana, you have a tip that's kind of straight out of the wilderness.
- 21:54Dayna Roselli: It is.
- 21:54Dayna Roselli: Well, I was reading about this and I was like, ooh, this sounds really cool.
- 21:57Dayna Roselli: It's over at Bally's and It's an exhibit that they're starting there on Friday, March 25th, and it's National Geographics Rarely Seen.
- 22:08Dayna Roselli: Okay, so I was like, what's this about?
- 22:10Dayna Roselli: And then I saw this beautiful picture of all these penguins, and I thought, what is this?
- 22:14Dayna Roselli: But what it is, it's uh apparently features this exhibit features 50 striking images shot by some of the world's finest photographers of places, events, natural phenomena, and man-made heirlooms, seldom seen by human eyes.
- 22:32Sean McAllister: Interesting.
- 22:33Dayna Roselli: Yeah, so it sounds like it's gonna be fantastic.
- 22:36Dayna Roselli: Um, it's presented by Imagine Exhibitions.
- 22:40Dayna Roselli: Again, it's called Rarely Seen, and it kicks off over at Bally's.
- 22:44Dayna Roselli: I believe the hours are like 10 to 8, and they do recommend that you do some advanced reservations.
- 22:51Dayna Roselli: They're encouraging that.
- 22:52Dayna Roselli: Tickets are on sale, they start at$35 for adults,$22 for children, and can be purchased by going to ixvegas.com.
- 23:02Dayna Roselli: So plan ahead.
- 23:02Dayna Roselli: If you're coming to Vegas and looking for something different to do, I think that's gonna be a great exhibit.
- 23:07Dayna Roselli: I can't wait to check it out.
- 23:08Sean McAllister: Yeah, that is really cool.
- 23:10Sean McAllister: And and something that you wouldn't necessarily expect here on the Vegas strip.
- 23:15Sean McAllister: Uh something you would expect, Dana, is a good sports viewing experience from any of the many uh sports books and sports bars that you find up and down the Las Vegas strip.
- 23:31Sean McAllister: Uh I went with some friends to see uh a basketball game recently.
- 23:37Sean McAllister: Uh we had we were planning on being near T-Mobile Arena since that's where the game was being played, because we wanted to be close in case any last-minute tickets uh came up for sale.
- 23:50Sean McAllister: So we were like, all right, uh let's just stop in to Park MGM and find a place over there, hang out for a little bit, see if we can grab some tickets.
- 24:00Sean McAllister: No tickets ended up coming available.
- 24:03Sean McAllister: But we did hang out at the Bet MGM Sports Book over at Park MGM, and that place was uh fantastic.
- 24:12Sean McAllister: Great.
- 24:13Sean McAllister: We could not have asked for a better environment to watch the game.
- 24:18Sean McAllister: I mean, the food was great, the drink was great, the atmosphere was just full of people, but not too full of people from both both teams were represented in the crowd over there, and the bar itself was pretty cool.
- 24:35Sean McAllister: We were on the back side of the bar and at a one of those high booths that kind of faces the the TV screens.
- 24:42Sean McAllister: But when you sit up at the bar, it it almost looks like you're pulling up to a gaming table.
- 24:49Sean McAllister: You know how the table, like a poker table, like it's round.
- 24:53Sean McAllister: It has many of those on the back side of the bar, and then a bartender just kind of like walks up to the middle of your little like bar top gaming table to serve you.
- 25:04Sean McAllister: Okay it's not a gaming table, it just looks like it.
- 25:07Sean McAllister: But um, but it was really cool.
- 25:09Sean McAllister: I was like, wow, I cannot believe I've never been in here, and it was a a great spot.
- 25:14Sean McAllister: So if you're looking for a a place to watch a game, the BetMGM Sportsbook over at Park MGM, I highly recommend it.
- 25:22Dayna Roselli: All right, I feel like all the places that we've been, you know, for s for the amount of time that we've lived here, there are still to this day new spots that we discover.
- 25:31Dayna Roselli: I think that's what's so great about living here.
- 25:32Dayna Roselli: Yep.
- 25:33Dayna Roselli: Is we have the choices endless, right?
- 25:35Dayna Roselli: Yeah.
- 25:35Dayna Roselli: If you wanna, if you want to go back and return to a place that you love, you can do that.
- 25:40Dayna Roselli: Or if you want to check out something new, you can check out something new.
- 25:43Dayna Roselli: It just never ends, right?
- 25:45Dayna Roselli: It's so great.
- 25:46Sean McAllister: And Dana, I'm going to tease my tip for next week.
- 25:49Sean McAllister: Okay.
- 25:50Sean McAllister: So uh I live in a different part of town now than I ever have.
- 25:54Sean McAllister: So I'm exploring uh some different, you know, restaurants and everything that the neighborhood has to offer.
- 26:00Sean McAllister: Found a great Italian place uh that has something extra that you will not find at any other Italian place.
- 26:11Dayna Roselli: I think I know what you're talking about in Las Vegas.
- 26:13Sean McAllister: So that's coming up next week in tips.
- 26:16Dayna Roselli: And this weekend I'm going to the Italian American Club with some friends, so we'll talk about.
- 26:19Sean McAllister: We still need to get there.
- 26:20unknown: I know.
- 26:21Dayna Roselli: You do.
- 26:22Dayna Roselli: Uh you and I are going to chat with Buddy V over at the Venetian.
- 26:26Dayna Roselli: That'll be fun.
- 26:27Dayna Roselli: He's got some.
- 26:28Sean McAllister: Lots of Italian going on.
- 26:29Sean McAllister: Jeez.
- 26:29Dayna Roselli: Tons.
- 26:30Dayna Roselli: He's got some things, new things cooking for Las Vegas.
- 26:33Dayna Roselli: So we're excited to catch up with him.
- 26:34Dayna Roselli: We'll let you know what we talk to him about.
- 26:37Dayna Roselli: Uh, what else are we doing this week?
- 26:38Dayna Roselli: I feel like we've got a lot going on.
- 26:40Dayna Roselli: And then, you know, St.
- 26:41Dayna Roselli: Patrick's Day just ended.
- 26:42Dayna Roselli: March Madness is here.
- 26:44Dayna Roselli: Vegas is warming up.
- 26:46Dayna Roselli: I was out at the pool again yesterday, getting a little sun.
