- 0:00Girl, hello. Right.
- 0:03Like what are we not getting you guys?
- 0:16Hey Gaspers, welcome to GASP the pod, the podcast for the gays,
- 0:21the girls and especially the gay girls coming to you live from
- 0:26Austria. I'm at my friends loft in
- 0:30Salzburg and we're not missing a week.
- 0:33You guys, we are not missing a week.
- 0:34When I travel, I'm so fucking committed.
- 0:36Especially when celebrities keep on having so much drama and I
- 0:40have to weigh in in it legally. I'm legally required to.
- 0:44So the best lighting in here is the bathroom.
- 0:49Bathroom Diaries. I wish I lived here because this
- 0:51would be a very fun place to record a podcast, but I'm going
- 0:55to sit in it now because this is kind of uncomfortable.
- 0:58Does it feel like we're taking a bath together?
- 1:00So Sabrina Carpenter is yet another celebrity in the last
- 1:04few weeks to come under fire. But listen, I love the
- 1:08discourse. So she came under fire after she
- 1:11recently released her new album cover art for her new album,
- 1:16Man's Best Friend after she released her single Manchild.
- 1:21The album cover depicts Sabrina Carpenter on her knees,
- 1:24presumably below a man, but it's unsure who this person is.
- 1:29They're wearing a suit, right? And this person is holding her
- 1:33hair in their hands. It's probably a man, right?
- 1:37It's been criticized for misogynistic themes, with half
- 1:41the Internet saying Sabrina Carpenter's cover is appealing
- 1:45to the male gaze and the other half saying this is simply just,
- 1:48you know, a product of sexual freedom and that Sabrina
- 1:52Carpenter has, you know, the right to choose how she presents
- 1:56herself and, like, you know, her kinks.
- 1:59It is obvious now that the pop stars fans are split.
- 2:02Is this scandal one that will be short lived?
- 2:05Will it be a permanent stain on her reputation?
- 2:09Is Sabrina rage baiting us? What does choice feminism have
- 2:13to do with this? Is purity culture going too far?
- 2:16We're going to dig into all of these questions because this
- 2:19issue is bringing up a lot of topics that I think you know,
- 2:22are relevant right now in our culture.
- 2:25Feminism, choice feminism, purity culture, conservative
- 2:28culture. We're going to unpack all of
- 2:30this together. And listen, as someone who has a
- 2:33gender studies degree, I do feel that I have the right to speak
- 2:38on this. OK, as always, let me just go
- 2:40through a few little updates before we get into the main part
- 2:44of the episode. First off, I'm doing a Pride
- 2:46merch giveaway. If you haven't seen already,
- 2:48we're through Week 2 out of four, so that means every single
- 2:52week for all of Pride month. So there's two more weeks.
- 2:56I'm going to draw a subscribers name at random and they get free
- 2:59merch. OK guys, there's a high percent
- 3:03chance you will get picked for this.
- 3:06I'm telling you it's worth it. If you want to check out my
- 3:09merch collection, let's go to the link in my bio or it's

- 3:14just just click on my Patreon link here or also in the link in
- 3:17my bio. Also on my Patreon, I'm doing a
- 3:19Pride bonus series, so I'm about to release this new one about
- 3:23historical people that were probably gay and my favorite
- 3:27ones to talk about. I go into that and the next week
- 3:29I'm going to do gay music so so go to my Patreon for that
- 3:32series. And finally, I also shout out my
- 3:35Patreon subscribers. So this week I'm shouting out
- 3:39number one Gasper AKA paid subscriber when DB.
- 3:43Thank you so much for listening and happy pride guys.
- 3:45I really wish I lived here because this would be such a
- 3:49sick spot for recording episodes every week.
- 3:52OK, let's talk about all the Sabrina Carpenter stuff.
- 3:54OK Sabrina has been through, like, one major controversy, and
- 3:58that was the whole Olivia Rodrigo love triangle situation.
- 4:03That was at the very kind of beginning of her music career.
- 4:07Once she got big, she hasn't really had a scandal.
- 4:10You know, she's been kind of perfectly marketing herself over
- 4:14the last few years, kind of this perfect combination of like kind
- 4:19of traditional, like 1950s curly pink and blue baby girl and then
- 4:25also sexual. So you're kind of getting
- 4:26conservatives and you're kind of getting progressives.
- 4:29And obviously, she is obviously very progressive.
- 4:31And I think she's by, in my opinion, she's attached herself
- 4:35to Taylor Swift, which I do think they're very good friends.
- 4:37But also it's kind of a good marketing decision.
- 4:40The only Flack she's really gotten is from like people being
- 4:43like, I should have brought my kids to this because this is too
- 4:45sexual. Here's the thing, though.
- 4:47In my opinion, this latest controversy over her album cover
- 4:51is not about sex and her being sexual, but it's rather about
- 4:56the degradation of women. And it does come at an
- 5:00interesting time in our culture. And if you've been listening to
- 5:03this pod a lot, you've heard me say it.
- 5:05Culture is taking a conservative turn.
- 5:07It's also taking a purity turn. What's interesting about this
- 5:12situation is it could be conflated with sex, right?
- 5:17It's not about the sex for me. And I really do appreciate that
- 5:20she has not tried to purify that aspect of herself and that she's
- 5:24not trying to like, hide behind innuendos.
- 5:27Like she's very like she owns her sexuality, which I very much
- 5:31appreciate. But this has another layer to
- 5:33it. And it is important to get into
- 5:37those layers. OK, And we will get into them.
- 5:40So this album cover, it is her blow, a man on her knees, kind
- 5:47of with her hand up, and this man is holding on to her hair.
- 5:52Manchild. The song came out before the
- 5:55release of the album cover. Manchild is one of the most
- 5:59feminist songs ever. It's like so anti men.
- 6:02It's more anti men than like Fletcher and JoJo Siwa and
- 6:06fucking Clara and Billy Eilish right now.
- 6:09So that very pleased with and a lot of people have said, OK,
- 6:13maybe maybe like the album cover doesn't actually include all of
- 6:18the context that will be provided with the album and it
- 6:22will be a very man hating album. The issue is we don't have that
- 6:25context yet. And unfortunately, when you
- 6:28release something and you know you won't release the album
- 6:30until a few months later, people are going to blindly make
- 6:33judgments and you kind of have to know that that's the case.
- 6:35So manchild came out and then this release of this cover art
- 6:40and the album is called man's best friend.
- 6:42That's another layer for me that I don't like because not only is
- 6:48she like in this, you know, subordinate position and yes,
- 6:52you know, kink is so valid, guys.
- 6:55But when you are a pop icon, you are making statements in the
- 7:00world and you can't assume that people are like going to be
- 7:03like, oh, that's kink culture. It's it's symbolism, It's
- 7:07imagery. And you are below a man who's
- 7:10like holding on to your hair. You know, like you can't just
- 7:13assume people are going to be like, oh, that's what she likes
- 7:16in bed, because behind closed doors that does not have a
- 7:19political meaning. But when it is on your album
- 7:23cover, that is a statement and the personals political be.
- 7:28Unfortunately, sex is political. Sex is very political.
- 7:32Men have been using sex to make political statements for the
- 7:36entire history of our existence. And then on top of that, when
- 7:40you add in the fact that the album is called Man's Best
- 7:43Friend, and you are showing yourself, kind of portraying
- 7:47yourself as like a pet, as a dog below the man.
- 7:52And then the next photo she had when she announced this was a
- 7:56picture of a dog with a collar around it.
- 7:58So it's like she's portraying herself as a dog, as man's best
- 8:02friend, as a pet, as below him. Now, let's address the kind of
- 8:08immediate response from a lot of carpenters.
- 8:11You know, I identify as a Sabrina Carpenter fan, but I in
- 8:14the same way that I'm a Taylor Swift fan.
- 8:16I'm not blind. I don't want to blind follow
- 8:19celebrity. So if I don't like something,
- 8:22I'm not just going to turn on them and cancel them.
- 8:25Like, but I think it's fair to have critical thinking and to
- 8:29like share our real opinions. People who are trying to
- 8:31criticize her over this and like point out, you know, their
- 8:35issues with it. It doesn't mean that like, she's
- 8:37going to be canceled or we think that she should like, not put
- 8:40out any music and that she should hide under a rock and
- 8:43die. OK.
- 8:44It just means that like, we're calling her in raising some
- 8:47questions. That's fair.
- 8:50OK guys, like we need a middle ground between cancellation and
- 8:54fan behavior. But anyways, fans immediately
- 8:57defended this saying, guys, this is her irony.
- 9:00This is her humor. Her entire career she's been
- 9:03like very funny and comedic and things are very sarcastic.
- 9:07That is very true. She's always very sarcastic and
- 9:09she has a Clear History in her songs of being very man hating.
- 9:13Like she kills men in her music videos.
- 9:15That's what I love so much about her.
- 9:18There is a huge chance that when this album is released, a lot of
- 9:22contacts is brought in and like, we see that this is part of a
- 9:25larger story. And maybe it's a woman holding
- 9:27her hair and like, she comes out with love.
- 9:29Maybe it's herself holding her hair.
- 9:31Maybe it's her showing that oh, this is how men treat her.
- 9:34But that's not how she sees herself.
- 9:37And like, maybe this whole thing is ironic.
- 9:38The problem is, is that when you release something with none of
- 9:43the actual ironic components as part of it, even if you've had a
- 9:47history of being funny, you can't like that's not ironic in
- 9:51of itself. If the message is being missed
- 9:54by half of the people that are your fans, like your fans are
- 9:57missing the message. You didn't do it successfully.
- 10:01And her response to kind of like the backlash of this, of being
- 10:04like, Oh my God. Well, like, you know, people
- 10:07will just want sex. Like they want it.
- 10:08So I'm going to give it to them. And like, who cares?
- 10:11It's like, these are your fans, though.
- 10:14Like, I love you, Sabrina, but like, these are your fans.
- 10:17I don't know. Think about your statement.
- 10:19I think before you release that. It's not about the sex, at least
- 10:23for me. It's not about the fact that,
- 10:25like, she would be on her knees for a man in a sexual way.
- 10:29That's not really the issue. It's the symbolism.
- 10:32But yeah, when you don't include the ironic components and people
- 10:35are kind of unclear with like, what the message is.
- 10:38Like, yes, there's fans defending it being like, oh, it
- 10:40could be this, it could be this. But the point is that no one
- 10:43really knows what it is. And so the message is missed.
- 10:46And is this rage bait? Did she put this out knowing
- 10:51people would intentionally misunderstand it?
- 10:54I kind of think that's highly likely.
- 10:58This seems like something that she would do.
- 11:00And like, I think it's fair to like put out something sexual
- 11:03and like, who fucking cares? Like I'm never going to critique
- 11:06a woman for portraying herself in a sexual way and reclaiming
- 11:11that for herself. But the difference is this isn't
- 11:14just sexual content. This isn't like risque content.
- 11:17This isn't like, Oh my God, like this is so raunchy.
- 11:20This is showing you in a subordinate position to a man.
- 11:24And we are in Trump's America to the people that say, Oh my God,
- 11:27pop stars, like should not be political.
- 11:30And like, why are we looking to pop stars and influencers for
- 11:34being political? Because they're culture
- 11:36changers. They're change makers, guys like
- 11:40in the 70s and 80s like we had there were it was very
- 11:43influential when celebrities actually said something like
- 11:46Prince. It's actually very important for
- 11:49celebrities to be culture changers and especially when we
- 11:54are in a fascist fucking regime. This is not 2012.
- 11:58This isn't these aren't regular Republicans.
- 12:00As Taylor Swift said when she used to be political.
- 12:02We are in like a very huge turning point in America and in
- 12:08the world right now. And like, when you are silent,
- 12:12you are a part of it. And that's just the fucking
- 12:15truth. Like, it's not that we're
- 12:17looking for pop stars to like, get our information from, but
- 12:20it's like we're sending people money.
- 12:22We want to know like if they're feminist or not.
- 12:26And that's so fair. OK, guys, we are in a culture
- 12:30right now where men are quickly becoming in cells.
- 12:34And if men look at this image and they're not challenged by it
- 12:37and they're like, love this, love this.
- 12:40That's the fucking problem. OK, She can totally be neutral,
- 12:44but then that's just not like what I think a lot of fans
- 12:47thought she was. She's going to lose fans based
- 12:50on that. So it's like, does everything
- 12:52have to be feminist? No, but this is not just like
- 12:55not feminist. It's kind of against it.
- 12:57And again, we don't have the whole context for it.
- 13:01And perhaps that will change it. But in the meantime, men love
- 13:05this. Based on her past art she's put
- 13:07out, I don't think she likes when men are happy.
- 13:12I don't like when men are happy. So what the fuck is going on?
- 13:15I just don't think the like rage bait and like her getting so
- 13:19much attention off of this is worth what she's what she's done
- 13:23and what she's put out there. And kind of like, I don't know
- 13:26if Alex Earl likes it. You're in the wrong, guys.
- 13:29OK, We should be challenging norms right now.
- 13:32Do I think she set women back 50 years?
- 13:35No, not at all. But it's enough to criticize.
- 13:39It's enough to call into question.
- 13:40It's enough to like think about and pause about.
- 13:42There's also people saying that. OK guys, the reaction to this is
- 13:47actually just reaction to purity culture.
- 13:50This is why this issue is very interesting, right?
- 13:52Because there are feminists trying to argue on both sides of
- 13:57this coin. There's feminists saying this is
- 14:00misogynistic imagery, which I think I would agree with.
- 14:03And there's also feminists saying no, this actually pushes
- 14:06against purity culture. Here's where I agree and
- 14:10disagree with the statement. Yes, it's pushing against purity
- 14:12culture, but purity culture is not the only form of the
- 14:15patriarchy. The patriarchy is also this
- 14:18degradation, the sexual degradation of women.
- 14:21Yes, it's pushing against kind of a conservative, tried wife
- 14:271950s patriarchy with this sexual scene and her sexual
- 14:33jokes and being like a woman can be sexual.
- 14:36However, it's also appealing towards abusive men.
- 14:40Do I understand that sex like this when you are like into
- 14:45kinks, do I think that that is inherently problematic?
- 14:49No. Again, the issue is the fact
- 14:52that you are branding your album with that.
- 14:54And if you're OK with people missing that message, that's a
- 14:57problem too. So it's like there's not,
- 15:00there's not just one form of the patriarchy.
- 15:02There's not only one form of like, subordination, like, So
- 15:06yes, there's definitely purity culture going on, which I love
- 15:08that she's pushing against, but also at the expense of pushing
- 15:13herself into this imagery of like a man, like holding onto
- 15:17her hair and she's on her knees below him at a time when Trump
- 15:21is president. And this is like the general
- 15:23image you're pushing for your album.
- 15:26Like, I don't think that's worth it.
- 15:29There's a way to be sexual without appealing into the type
- 15:34of sexual degradation and kind of rape culture that also
- 15:38appears in like, porn, right? Like in the same way, it's like,
- 15:42OK, not all porn should be fucking banned, but you have to
- 15:47think about what type of content you are producing and how that
- 15:52affects the world. That is just the world we live
- 15:55in. And we don't live in a vacuum.
- 15:57Like if you take this out of the context of misogyny, so fair.
- 16:01Like, that's her kink. Like whatever.
- 16:04But we don't live in that world. So sorry guys.
- 16:08Like we just don't live in that world.
- 16:10Do I think she should be cancelled?
- 16:11No. And again, I'm sure the album
- 16:14will come with more context and like perhaps it'll make more
- 16:17sense. I just don't think this bit of
- 16:20time of rage baiting is worth it.
- 16:23OK, let's talk about choice feminism.
- 16:26So I've seen this come up a lot. And remember guys, not to brag,
- 16:32but I do have a gender studies degree, so I do feel like I can
- 16:35talk about this and have an academic educated opinion on it.
- 16:39OK. Feminism is not just women doing
- 16:43whatever they want without being criticized.
- 16:45I'm seeing a lot of people saying we're only going after
- 16:48the women. We're not going after men.
- 16:49We are able to do multiple things at the same time.
- 16:52We are able to do multiple things at the same time.
- 16:55Women, you do have to think about your actions and how the
- 17:00patriarchy is influencing your decisions.
- 17:02You have to think about that because culture raises US.
- 17:06Social norms raise us. If you don't unpack that, you
- 17:10can't just say everything you do is feminism in the same way that
- 17:13like if you get plastic surgery, that's not necessarily feminism.
- 17:17You have the ability to choose, but that doesn't mean you
- 17:19choosing to do something as feminism.
- 17:21OK, what is feminism? It is pushing against a
- 17:25patriarchal society that deems women as less important and
- 17:30unequal in political senses and social senses, in economic
- 17:34senses and just in every sense. So if you are not pushing
- 17:38against a structure that is put in place in order to push women
- 17:42as unequal, that is not feminism.
- 17:45And if you say everything is choice feminism, that means that
- 17:48women could choose to say, oh, I don't think women should vote.
- 17:52That's why we have to be careful about what feminism is.
- 17:55And I do think it's also a lot of people that have never
- 17:57actually cared about what what feminism is that are all of a
- 18:00sudden trying to say like, this is feminism.
- 18:02No, in the same way that like, you know, you can be
- 18:05internalized homophobic, you can be internalized sexist.
- 18:09So women are not just like removed from the ability to be
- 18:13criticized because you are a woman.
- 18:15Men. OK, guys.
- 18:16She's a person who is still also influenced by these structures,
- 18:20right? We have to think about like, the
- 18:22decisions we're making, like and like how we are being impacted
- 18:26by society. Choice feminism is not really
- 18:29feminism, and it's not really radical and it's not really
- 18:33pushing anything besides kind of excusing yourself and others
- 18:37from doing the inner work. OK, do I think everything has to
- 18:42be radically feminist all the time?
- 18:45Like, no, but this isn't just not radically feminist Sabrina
- 18:48Carpenter's album, it's the opposite.
- 18:51You know what I mean? So I think that's really the
- 18:53issue here. Again, you don't have to be
- 18:55radically feminist in every single part of your life, but
- 18:58you do have to recognize that not everything you choose to do
- 19:01is inherently feminism. And like, that's fine to accept
- 19:04that. Like, I've gotten lip filler
- 19:06before. Do I think that that's feminist?
- 19:08No. I understand that I'm trying to
- 19:11appeal to a standard of beauty and that that still affects me.
- 19:14You know, you can still do it. But I'm also not, like, telling
- 19:18the world I think we should all get lip filler.
- 19:20Does this analogy make sense? In the same way Sabrina
- 19:23Carpenter can be on her knees for a man.
- 19:25Do I think that she should put this on album cover and like
- 19:28promote that? No.
- 19:31Do we see a distinction? You have to acknowledge what
- 19:33actions you're taking and like what is being pushed by the
- 19:35patriarchy and unlearn, not yourself.
- 19:38Are women the problem? No.
- 19:40But we can also call in other women and be like girl, hello,
- 19:45right? Like what are we not getting you
- 19:48guys? It's just not the time in the
- 19:51world to be on your knees for a man on an album cover, let alone
- 19:57in your own fucking room. Sorry.
- 20:00And if you want to excuse yourself from that culture and
- 20:03the system that we're living in right now, feel free.
- 20:06But like, we're going to end up in a very bad place, worse than
- 20:09we already are. Like, guys, we are really losing
- 20:12our rights fucking dramatically. So, like, does this scare you?
- 20:16Culture is always surrounded by political context.
- 20:20And we are not in Obama's America.
- 20:22We are not in Kamala Harris's America.
- 20:24And even in those systems, there would still be issues.
- 20:27But like, we're in a very bad place.
- 20:29This is just not the time. And also I'm seeing a lot of
- 20:32people being like, guys, don't criticize her, whatever.
- 20:35Like women are not the point of the issue.
- 20:37But also guys, white women, we are kind of, we do need to be
- 20:42called out. And a lot of people are saying,
- 20:44OK, race has nothing to do with this.
- 20:45It actually does because patriarchy is also
- 20:48intersectional with racism. OK, White women are the ideal
- 20:53standard of beauty. So if white women are not
- 20:55pushing against the system, that does not benefit us, even though
- 20:58I think we think sometimes it does.
- 21:01We are falling victim. We are falling into their
- 21:04fucking little hands. OK, So race actually does have a
- 21:08lot to do with this. Is this episode me just kind of
- 21:11yelling? I don't know.
- 21:12It's like, I understand there's some people that are like, this
- 21:15is not that big of a deal. And I understand that.
- 21:17It's not like she is not conservative herself.
- 21:21But you have to also think about how your art, when you're that
- 21:25big of a person, contributes to like a larger culture.
- 21:30You have to think about what conservatives are thinking about
- 21:32you and what men are thinking about you.
- 21:35You have to think about, wow, a lot of men love this.
- 21:40Do I want that to be the case? And if she wants that to be the
- 21:43case, then that's fine. But then we just don't agree
- 21:45politically and we are just not in the same wavelength.
- 21:47And then you were just totally fine living in a patriarchal
- 21:50world. And maybe you are, I don't know.
- 21:52But I think that if you don't want to live in a patriarchal
- 21:54world, it's more than just politics, culture and music.
- 21:58And like, film and everything shapes how people feel about
- 22:03things. And we are descending quickly
- 22:05into a conservative culture that I feel like you should want to
- 22:09push against that if you're an artist.
- 22:11And if that's what you care about, you can be reclaiming
- 22:14your sexuality and, like, you know, not necessarily prude and
- 22:18not be putting out images that promote the degradation of
- 22:21women. That is possible.
- 22:23You can be kinky and not promote the degradation of women.
- 22:26And yes, that is not necessarily an abusive image we see, but
- 22:29there's a lot of people that can't tell the difference
- 22:31between that, especially men. We don't have the context to be
- 22:35like, this is kinky and this is has nothing to do with men being
- 22:40more powerful than women and like forcing women to do stuff.
- 22:43And there's a lot of conflation between those two things.
- 22:45We've also seen a lot of people talk about like Lolita
- 22:48references and Sabrina Carpenter's music and imagery
- 22:51over the last few years. And I don't know much about
- 22:54this. And Lolita is like a movie about
- 22:57a sexual relationship between an adult man and an underage girl.
- 23:01And apparently, you know, some fans are calling her out by
- 23:03saying her imagery is strikingly similar to that movie.
- 23:06I've seen the comparisons and I understand where people got that
- 23:10from. Sabrina Carpenter apparently
- 23:12just hit back. This is from up Rocks and says,
- 23:15quote, I've never seen this movie.
- 23:16It's never been on my mood board and never would be.
- 23:19And I kind of, I do believe her on that.
- 23:21I don't. I think you'll be really strange
- 23:23and weird for her to intentionally do that, and I
- 23:25don't know why she would ever do that unless she was fucking sick
- 23:28and crazy. So I guess I just don't want to
- 23:30assume the worst. But I also think a lot of the
- 23:34imagery is just like sexual in nature.
- 23:38But yeah, I don't think that she intentionally, I don't think the
- 23:41Lolita part is like part of my issue, honestly, like nothing to
- 23:45do with my issue. But yeah, to summarize, listen,
- 23:49not everything has to be radically feminist.
- 23:52However, I would say in these times, you at least need to be
- 23:57not pushing the degradation of women.
- 24:00You at least need to be neutral in your imagery.
- 24:04You don't have to be pushing the boundaries all the time and
- 24:08being like everything is so feminist if you don't want as a
- 24:12pop star. But like when you put on an
- 24:14image that you know, puts women in a subordinate position that
- 24:21looks like a man pulling a woman's hair and a woman's on
- 24:25her knees and the time of Trump's America, do you really
- 24:29need this right now? Could you have just promoted
- 24:31this being just sexual without this?
- 24:34I just think that's very fair criticism.
- 24:37And it doesn't mean that we need pop stars to be like
- 24:41politicians. It's fair for us to want
- 24:43celebrities to be be on the right side of history.
- 24:46And I do think she's progressive.
- 24:48I do think she's liberal. But I feel like a lot of
- 24:50celebrities we forget are so focused on their own fame and
- 24:53their own attention that they don't really care because all
- 24:56press is good press in their opinion.
- 24:58And she knew she was going to get a lot of backlash.
- 25:01And I think that she's absolutely going to clear this
- 25:04up. It's going to make sense.
- 25:06There's going to be contacts or she's going to be like, this is
- 25:08how they treat me. And everyone's going to be like,
- 25:12Oh my God, guys, you shouldn't have freaked out.
- 25:13We knew this was going to happen.
- 25:15Like now it all makes sense. All these people were too woke,
- 25:19too woke. And that doesn't even matter
- 25:23because that's months from now. And for a few months, we're
- 25:27sitting with this image that in sells love and feminists hate.
- 25:31Is that worth it? I don't think so.
- 25:35So again, I don't think she should be cancelled, but I think
- 25:39it's very fair for us to be like, don't love that, don't
- 25:42love that. And that doesn't mean it.
- 25:45We're trying to be too pure. Nuance, guys.
- 25:48Nuance, OK? Celebrity culture these days is
- 25:51just very interesting. Very, very interesting.
- 25:53And why are all these celebrities fucking dropping the
- 25:57ball? All these celebrities that you
- 25:59would think would be feminist and queer are just dropping the
- 26:02fucking ball. Fletcher it's not her dating a
- 26:04man guys, it's this marketing that sucks Sabrina marketing
- 26:10that sucks Taylor Swift hanging out with MAGA.
- 26:12Hello it's I don't love it don't love it.
- 26:17Anyone has any suggestions for how we can like reclaim the last
- 26:20two weeks of pride month? Like I'm sick of hearing about
- 26:22men. I literally just wanted one
- 26:25month where major pop stars were focused on pride.
- 26:28It's like I just don't feel like anyone cares personally.
- 26:32I've just been watching a lot of Trixie and Katya.
- 26:34That's always very helpful. But yeah, let me know your
- 26:36guys's thoughts. I want to hear from you.
- 26:39Even if you disagree, let me know why you disagree.
- 26:42I want to know why and I'll see you next week.
- 26:45Also, just a heads up, I will be taking a break for like I think
- 26:48a month. I'm still going to do bonus
- 26:51episodes for my subscribers because obviously, but I just
- 26:55need a little bit of break. That will be in July, just a
- 26:58heads up. So I'll have one more main
- 26:59episode after this. After Pride month, of course.
- 27:03Happy Pride. Talk soon.
- 27:06Bye.
