0:45
Speaker 1: He said he's a little cold today.
0:46
Speaker 1: What's the weather looking like in Florida?
0:48
Speaker 3: It's 40, 52.
0:50
Speaker 3: I think 52.
0:50
Speaker 3: Let me verify just so.
0:52
Speaker 3: I want to give you folks.
0:54
Speaker 1: The weather seems like goes, goes into, like a different mode whenever the weather goes down.
0:57
Speaker 2: Oh, 62 right now.
0:58
Speaker 2: Yeah, the mode is not good.
1:01
Speaker 2: The way I knew it was cold this morning is when we went outside and my kids screamed dad, run to the car quickly.
1:09
Speaker 2: Oh, that was the sign that it was cold.
1:13
Speaker 1: Yeah, for sure, bro.
1:14
Speaker 1: And guess what?
1:15
Speaker 1: You're going from the garage right to the like you want to, not really outside basically To the car, dad.
1:20
Speaker 2: I was like, yeah, it's cold.
1:24
Speaker 1: Well, I hope everybody down here in South Florida got your what is it?
1:26
Speaker 1: Norface jackets on face.
1:29
Speaker 1: Columbia Trouble fat goose, whatever you guys do these days, d hustles, loving this weather, this park, water for me, yeah, for sure.
1:35
Speaker 3: I miss New York, just like this, but I don't miss the snow.
1:38
Speaker 2: But you're a Floridian.
1:39
Speaker 2: You've been here for so long.
1:40
Speaker 2: But you guys keep disappointing me every year with his dead heat waves and shit.
1:44
Speaker 3: Like I love it yeah.
1:47
Speaker 1: I love the heat.
1:48
Speaker 1: I'm a Caribbean.
1:49
Speaker 1: I could be outside.
1:50
Speaker 3: I don't even like the AC man.
1:51
Speaker 3: I need something like California weather.
1:56
Speaker 1: Oh, you like that one, you like that one, yeah, yeah, yeah man, I was there, don't get me wrong, I was an idiot.
2:02
Speaker 3: I try to go on the track on the bus with no jacket on.
2:06
Speaker 1: Oh, you're talking about the tour bus.
2:07
Speaker 1: We did, yeah, yeah and fucking going across the Golden Gate Bridge.
2:13
Speaker 3: Go buy a jacket with a hat on.
2:16
Speaker 2: That happened to me when I went through that.
2:18
Speaker 3: Yeah yeah, I underestimated this.
2:20
Speaker 3: Yeah, for sure.
2:21
Speaker 1: Everybody underestimates San Francisco because y'all forget it's northern California.
2:25
Speaker 3: I was that guy with shorts on there.
2:27
Speaker 2: You did that too.
2:28
Speaker 2: Huh, that's hilarious.
2:31
Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, yeah.
2:33
Speaker 1: That's what's up, all right, fellas.
2:34
Speaker 1: Well, let's give a quick rundown of the show today.
2:37
Speaker 1: We got a nice list here.
2:38
Speaker 1: We got a few cool topics we're going to cover, but first off, let's just say we got a tech talk that I'm going to give some more feedback.
2:46
Speaker 1: You know I'm on these streets and everybody's coming and telling me how great we're doing on the show, so they want to hear some more tech-ish.
2:51
Speaker 1: So I'm going to talk about the command line, one of my most favorite tools that I've learned as an engineer, and hopefully inspire you to all develop some skills with the terminal and command line.
2:59
Speaker 1: We got some quick news from D Hustle.
3:01
Speaker 1: We got some new phone I think you're going to drop, and some other stuff, yeah, yeah.
3:06
Speaker 1: And then we got a chance for Raymond's nuggets Opportunity here.
3:10
Speaker 1: My God, my God.
3:12
Speaker 1: We got a few big shout outs to some new things that have come out from Ray Ban and I believe you got a movie premiere that you want to drop on the show today.
3:20
Speaker 4: Is that right, Raymond?
3:21
Speaker 1: I'm excited to I'm excited, to, I'm excited.
3:24
Speaker 1: And then we're going to jump back over to D Hustle with some sports, current events, see, and then we'll close out with our sponsorship.
3:30
Speaker 1: Big shout outs to our sponsors.
3:32
Speaker 1: Let's give them a round of applause, always supporting us.
3:34
Speaker 1: And I'm going to put a plug in there for you, d Hustle.
3:37
Speaker 1: We're quick, you ready?
3:38
Speaker 1: Yeah, we're going to have the tech hustle sponsor.
3:42
Speaker 1: Anything you got going on, holla at D Hustle.
3:45
Speaker 1: He got you, he'll get you on the show.
3:46
Speaker 1: You already know what it's about.
3:48
Speaker 1: That's right, baby For sure, all right, and then we're going to close out with some closing remarks from me, and then we'll close out our show.
3:56
Speaker 1: Is this our last show for the year?
3:57
Speaker 3: Oh, we got one more.
3:57
Speaker 3: I want to say, yeah, I think it is the last yeah.
3:59
Speaker 1: I think so.
4:00
Speaker 1: So we're about to close out 2023, aren't we?
4:02
Speaker 3: Yes, we are Wow.
4:03
Speaker 1: That's crazy, crazy, crazy, it's almost done.
4:06
Speaker 1: It's almost done.
4:07
Speaker 3: New year's coming up 2024 has already started.
4:10
Speaker 1: What do you mean?
4:10
Speaker 1: It's almost done, but anyways, go ahead, queue me up with some music man, let me go talk some issues about some tech stuff.
4:17
Speaker 1: Oh, my God, my God, thank you so much, d Hustle, for that intro.
4:25
Speaker 1: Well, it's your host, bobby D, and today I'm going to be talking about something that I had a student the other day get on my calendar and we were sitting there chatting up for a little bit and unfortunately she was like yo.
4:37
Speaker 1: There's this thing called the command line and terminal that she's not familiar with and I'm like yo.
4:42
Speaker 1: That's my cup of tea because that's where I be at and that's where I do most of my engineering at is at the command line.
4:48
Speaker 1: So for those that do not know what the command line, the terminal and or specifically bash looks like, it's basically that black screen.
4:56
Speaker 1: You ever watch one of those hacker movies or they have like that terminal where they're just sitting there typing and and it's just black screen, kind of like Words be flying by.
5:05
Speaker 1: That's technically a terminal.
5:07
Speaker 1: But the thing that I just want to emphasize as an engineer, especially if you're developing a skills around systems engineering, that's like DevOps engineering, that's, let's say, cloud engineering.
5:18
Speaker 1: Even software engineers will have to.
5:20
Speaker 1: You know, dabble a little bit at the command line is hey, let's talk about the command line a little bit and see if I can get just inspired a little bit and not only just talk about it, because I want to give a big, big shout outs to one of our repositories that we have out there.
5:33
Speaker 1: Let's give him a round of applause.
5:34
Speaker 1: So we have, if you all didn't know, the tech hustle is hosting a GitHub repository where the community is basically managing software, managing code out in the open space and GitHub, and one of the projects that we published recently is a whole course on learning the command line.
5:53
Speaker 1: So if you're looking for that leveling up that, you need just know that you can go to GitHub slash, the tech hustle.
6:00
Speaker 1: Okay, you will be able to find the course that I'm talking about today.
6:03
Speaker 1: But more specifically, yeah, let's get it, let's get it.
6:07
Speaker 1: So the course that we put out there talking about the command line and ultimately, this conversation here is just really revolving around a tool that I think a lot of engineers have spent some time to get comfortable With, because we talked about the black screen earlier.
6:20
Speaker 1: But let me tell you how intimidating it is when you don't know what commands to execute.
6:24
Speaker 1: So the thing about command line is that you need to know what kind of commands to execute and what tasks you want to do, rather than being able to click around with your mouse because they've taken that away when you're working at a command line.
6:37
Speaker 1: But the thing that I want to cover here is is like, briefly, the command line is one of the most powerful tools that we have as an engineer.
6:44
Speaker 1: So powerful that we're able to do that.
6:46
Speaker 1: So powerful that I actually prefer to only work in command line versus actually having a graphical interface.
6:52
Speaker 1: Now, I know that might sound a little weird, but if you just think about the type of computing that I've worked on in the past and the scale because you know, if y'all don't know, I worked at Twitter for a good minute, but in general there was there was no real way for you to manage that many computers through a regular user interface.
7:09
Speaker 1: Clicking around, you had to type some commands and to figure out how things work.
7:12
Speaker 1: What was that, raymond?
7:15
Speaker 2: I definitely agree with you and my early career.
7:19
Speaker 2: Throughout it I always stood away from, stayed away from the command line because it was intimidating.
7:24
Speaker 2: Like you said, you have to memorize the commands.
7:27
Speaker 2: Like you said, the GUI is so much easier, but you know people in the IT world takes you more seriously if you know what you're doing via command line so, but, yeah, I always kind of stood away from it because I was intimidating.
7:41
Speaker 1: But yeah, yeah, and it happens to a lot of engineers, especially when somebody is looking over you, somebody's asking you and you can't remember what to execute right.
7:50
Speaker 2: You don't know how to navigate.
7:51
Speaker 2: I had that the other day.
7:53
Speaker 2: My coworkers is hovering over my shoulder and he's like telling me to do something.
7:56
Speaker 2: I was like oh god.
7:57
Speaker 2: So it's like yeah, no, I get it, yeah.
8:00
Speaker 1: Well, don't be afraid, bro, because we got some resources for you here at the tech console.
8:04
Speaker 3: Let's get it, the tech console stop playing around.
8:07
Speaker 1: So it's a good thing to get you comfortable with the command line so that you don't feel as intimidating, but just know that, hey, it does require some practice.
8:15
Speaker 1: Now, one nugget that I want to give you all in terms of just some more insights into how you develop more awareness of what commands to run is.
8:24
Speaker 1: A lot of people feel like you have to remember this stuff off the top of your head and, technically, what you have to remember is how to find help with the commands that you know.
8:32
Speaker 1: Now, if you know how to find the help, then you can basically be able to execute anything and or solve any problems.
8:38
Speaker 1: And one of the main commands that I always like to introduce engineers to, especially if you're working with bash, which is one of the shells or terminals that you can access and low key it's a programming language too, so you know how.
8:50
Speaker 1: Let me on the side, I can give you some more insights.
8:51
Speaker 1: But the man command, it's M A N, it's called the manual command.
8:57
Speaker 1: You need to know how to use the help and the man command is your favorite and best tool to be able to get that information.
9:03
Speaker 1: Did you know about the man command, raymond?
9:06
Speaker 2: I didn't know that I did Good to get you.
9:09
Speaker 3: So there's a special moment.
9:10
Speaker 3: Shout out to Bob.
9:13
Speaker 2: So there's, a feature command line.
9:15
Speaker 1: Yeah, so there's definitely always usually some help within the command.
9:19
Speaker 1: So if you type a command let's say a command is LS, so LS stands for listing the directory If you type in man space LS, it's going to bring up a man page or a manual page of what that LS command does, and then you can dive deeper to really understand what it does.
9:35
Speaker 1: You can also type in some commands.
9:38
Speaker 1: Will you be able to say LS is the command and then space, dash, dash, help.
9:42
Speaker 1: That will help you get insights into what the command does.
9:45
Speaker 1: But more specifically, I just want to make sure y'all know these resources that you have available to you on the computer.
9:51
Speaker 1: Not, hey, you gotta go get on the internet.
9:53
Speaker 1: And yet everybody does a quick Google search or Stack Overflow, no doubt about that.
9:57
Speaker 1: But hey, if you really want to show at least the people that are looking over your shoulder how you know how to find help on the terminal is using that man command or using the help option within commands.
10:07
Speaker 2: Wow they know that Pretty cool I got you, Raymond.
10:11
Speaker 1: I'm trying to level everybody up in the process.
10:12
Speaker 1: Yeah, you know?
10:13
Speaker 1: Yeah, For sure, All right, so we're going to cut this a little short in terms of the command line, because there is a full article, a full ebook, a full course that we've published online at GitHub that I want you all to go check it out, give us some feedback, let us know if we're heading in the right direction.
10:32
Speaker 1: We also have some other courses and learnings over there.
10:36
Speaker 1: There's one about Python.
10:37
Speaker 1: If you're trying to learn Python, yeah, I'll level you up.
10:40
Speaker 1: Linux, Linux administration I know we talked about the Linux boot process a few weeks ago, but the thing that we put out there even goes deeper than that.
10:48
Speaker 1: Right, and we also have, I believe, some around SREing and I think that's it yeah.
10:55
Speaker 1: So big shout out to everybody that's supporting us out there Shout out to them and definitely looking forward to more open source contributions to our courses and learnings that we have out there.
11:04
Speaker 1: Oh, I forgot to put a plug.
11:05
Speaker 1: We also got cloud out there, if you all try and learn about cloud you can come and holler at us.
11:10
Speaker 2: But yeah, what's the platform for the cloud?
11:12
Speaker 2: Just in general.
11:14
Speaker 1: Yeah, so we're actually gonna be covering a few platforms on the cloud.
11:17
Speaker 1: Thank you, Raymond, for putting that plug.
11:18
Speaker 1: You're trying to dive deeper in, I am.
11:20
Speaker 2: I'm trying to learn about some cloud actually.
11:22
Speaker 1: Yeah, for sure.
11:22
Speaker 1: So we have content around AWS, which is the big boy in the whole group.
11:27
Speaker 1: Next up is GCP, which is Google's cloud platform, and then coming in third is Azure, and that's Microsoft cloud platform.
11:36
Speaker 1: All three of those will be covered in that content that we have out there and remember this stuff is open source so everybody can take a look, make recommendations and or update or add it.
11:45
Speaker 2: What's up?
11:45
Speaker 2: Just to rewind, I'm always debating about people.
11:47
Speaker 2: How do you pronounce it?
11:48
Speaker 2: Is it Azure?
11:49
Speaker 2: Is it Azure?
11:50
Speaker 2: I mean, I hear people different.
11:52
Speaker 2: What's the proper pronunciation of that?
11:55
Speaker 1: I don't work at Microsoft, so I don't know what.
11:58
Speaker 1: Microsoft calls it, but I call it Azure.
12:00
Speaker 2: Yeah, my boss calls it Azure, you call it Azure.
12:02
Speaker 2: I'm just always like how the hell do you pronounce this?
12:05
Speaker 1: I wish they were easy as AWS or GCP.
12:07
Speaker 1: Yeah, exactly.
12:09
Speaker 2: You know.
12:10
Speaker 3: So yeah, axiri, axiri, yeah, what's the?
12:13
Speaker 2: correct pronunciation.
12:14
Speaker 2: Or as AI.
12:15
Speaker 3: Yeah, AI.
12:16
Speaker 1: He knows that.
12:17
Speaker 3: Spiles, I'll probably just tell you what I was saying.
12:20
Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, probably poppin' something else, but, you know, definitely big ups to Microsoft for creating that platform, creating that cloud platform, because they were gonna get left behind, in my opinion, if they didn't jump into that game.
12:30
Speaker 1: So definitely a skill set to develop and if you're looking to become a cloud engineer systems DevOps engineers, all of those cloud platforms you should be familiarized with that is correct.
12:40
Speaker 1: Highlight your bite is Bobby D.
12:42
Speaker 1: I'll be D All right.
12:43
Speaker 1: Thank you so much.
12:45
Speaker 1: Thank you so much for hanging out with me and to do the little tech talk.
12:48
Speaker 1: I think we're about to move to the next section.
12:50
Speaker 1: What's up, d-hussell?
12:51
Speaker 1: What's going on?
12:52
Speaker 1: Everybody Hope everybody's having a great.
12:54
Speaker 1: You know what?
12:54
Speaker 1: I'm sorry, I need to get you some sounds D-Hussell.
12:57
Speaker 1: So come up on stage next time around Beginning of the next year.
13:00
Speaker 1: I got you player.
13:01
Speaker 3: I appreciate you, I appreciate it.
13:02
Speaker 1: Give me something.
13:03
Speaker 1: All right, what's up player?
13:05
Speaker 3: Well, first of all, it's a beautiful day today.
13:07
Speaker 3: The weather's right.
13:08
Speaker 3: So, I read that you guys are cold, but it's beautiful out there.
13:11
Speaker 3: It's not yes, but Christmas is coming around the corner, like, if you guys have not made any purchases, start doing it now because you don't want to weigh in those lines.
13:21
Speaker 3: Yeah yeah, the lines are getting big.
13:24
Speaker 2: To add to that, not just the lines online as well.
13:27
Speaker 2: I had finalized my final order on Sunday and Amazon told me that some of the stuff is not coming till after Christmas.
13:36
Speaker 2: So, yes, so yeah, if you haven't done it yet, too late, yeah, so my kids are yeah, because they were like what's up with the light gifts, dad?
13:47
Speaker 2: I was like they're coming so.
13:50
Speaker 1: What's up with the light boxes that end up in the front of the house?
13:53
Speaker 1: Right, they expected you.
13:54
Speaker 2: Little did they know.
13:54
Speaker 2: Some of the stuff is coming after Christmas.
13:57
Speaker 1: They'll appreciate it regardless, but definitely.
14:00
Speaker 3: Can they wait?
14:00
Speaker 3: Yeah, they got no choice.
14:03
Speaker 1: Well, big shout-outs to Amazon.
14:04
Speaker 1: Let's give it an round of applause, right, that's $10.
14:07
Speaker 1: Because they definitely doing some deliveries over this past week and definitely I got something in the pipeline, so I hope we make it to the house.
14:14
Speaker 3: They're using all UPS and FedEx trucks now.
14:17
Speaker 1: Let's get it.
14:17
Speaker 1: They're trying to deliver everywhere.
14:20
Speaker 3: Well, so talking about that man, if you got, there's a new phone coming out.
14:23
Speaker 3: It's called Nothing.
14:24
Speaker 3: Phone 2A Leaks.
14:26
Speaker 1: Wow, a new phone.
14:27
Speaker 1: Yes, it's only $400.
14:29
Speaker 3: I'll go ahead and put it on this quarter here for you guys.
14:31
Speaker 1: Yeah, drop it in there, so you can take a look at it.
14:33
Speaker 3: Real quick, but all the gadgets it got man.
14:36
Speaker 3: Basically, what they have is 120 Hertz OLED panel, a dual camera system, with a primary camera being like a 50 megapixel with a sensor on it.
14:46
Speaker 3: Wow, it has an OS 2.5 base on an Android 14.
14:52
Speaker 1: So it's Android Linux.
14:54
Speaker 3: It has an 8 gig of RAM and 128 gig of storage.
14:58
Speaker 1: Wow, how much is it though?
15:00
Speaker 3: $400.
15:00
Speaker 3: $400.
15:02
Speaker 3: And it's running MediaTek Demi If I'm pronouncing the right, the word right correctly Demi, demisteam a 720 pixel chipset?
15:14
Speaker 1: Oh, that's really interesting.
15:15
Speaker 1: And who's the manufacturer for this?
15:18
Speaker 3: Oh, it says Nothing.
15:19
Speaker 3: Phone 2A PVT.
15:21
Speaker 1: Nothing Phone.
15:22
Speaker 1: It's called Nothing Phone it caught my attention there, dihaz.
15:25
Speaker 2: So what's the name of this phone?
15:26
Speaker 2: Again, it's called.
15:27
Speaker 3: Nothing.
15:28
Speaker 3: Phone 2A PVT.
15:32
Speaker 3: Bravo, victor Tom nothing.
15:35
Speaker 2: Phone sounds like something out of the TV show office, okay, so what?
15:41
Speaker 2: What is the deal with this phone?
15:42
Speaker 2: I just okay.
15:45
Speaker 3: You don't have a thousand dollars on a phone exactly that's the market that they're trying to hit.
15:49
Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean that's, that's the thing you know.
15:51
Speaker 2: You buy these phones, you literally have to finance them because it's the price of a used car.
15:56
Speaker 2: Oh, I mean, it's like you know you buy an Apple or Galaxy or whatever these things are.
16:00
Speaker 2: Just they keep getting more and more expensive.
16:02
Speaker 2: And okay, that sounds like a Interesting avenue they're getting into.
16:06
Speaker 2: Okay and that's kind of what they're really shooting for is is trying to get that market where people just can't you know for that those yeah because, as you can, I don't know if you guys heard, but Apple is no longer making their cheaper phones, the SCs, they discontinued word.
16:20
Speaker 2: So this brings in a perfect avenue for this nothing phone to come in.
16:24
Speaker 2: So yeah, apple is just strictly.
16:26
Speaker 2: They're just making regular high-end phones.
16:28
Speaker 2: They used to make the SCs.
16:29
Speaker 3: They discontinued them, got you which was you know they're cheaper, models.
16:32

16:54
Speaker 3: I guess they're moving into a and a more monitoring.
16:57
Speaker 1: Yeah, I mean technically, I don't know, do all three of you have Apple?
17:00
Speaker 1: I mean you two of you have?
17:01
Speaker 1: I have one yeah.
17:02
Speaker 1: I mean my thing always Pause, my watch always basically pops up like hey, you need to stand up, you need to do this, you need to do that.
17:10
Speaker 3: It's funny because it says I stand up for 12 hours when I'm really sitting down.
17:16
Speaker 1: You're not sure how the sensors working not to show how the sensors working.
17:19
Speaker 3: I tell my wife, like yo listen, I stand up for 12 hours.
17:22
Speaker 3: She's a nurse, so she's up for 12 hours.
17:24
Speaker 3: Mm-hmm and when I tell her I've been up for 12 hours yeah, I can go in crazy yeah.
17:28
Speaker 3: I mean, like Bitch, you didn't stand up for 12 hours.
17:32
Speaker 1: I've been on my feet for 12 hours.
17:34
Speaker 1: She definitely been on her.
17:35
Speaker 3: Oh, you did was got up and get one to the bathroom.
17:38
Speaker 1: I was like, yeah, that's what I did, but because I got it linked together.
17:42
Speaker 3: Yeah.
17:43
Speaker 1: So she's seeing your performances.
17:47
Speaker 3: What's going on?
17:47
Speaker 3: So I was like man yeah and I brag about it.
17:50
Speaker 3: I was up until I don't know what you do, but yeah, yeah, and the data is there, though.
17:54
Speaker 1: Right, it is this legit.
17:55
Speaker 3: Yeah, I mean, I think it's legit.
17:57
Speaker 1: But is it?
17:58
Speaker 3: legit.
17:58
Speaker 3: Oh, no Question that we need to figure out big out, big ups to Apple.
18:03
Speaker 1: They're always, you know, taking us to the next level, for us to record Our lives in some sense, so that we can get some data on how we're living.
18:10
Speaker 1: So I think it's only gonna increase even more.
18:13
Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah, thanks.
18:15
Speaker 1: Alright, so that's it what we got for a new start today D hustle.
18:18
Speaker 1: So so who we got coming up next?
18:21
Speaker 1: Oh, we got my cousin Raven.
18:23
Speaker 1: Don't call him Ray Ray.
18:25
Speaker 1: What up playin, right, what's going?
18:26
Speaker 2: on Bobby D.
18:28
Speaker 2: What's going on?
18:29
Speaker 1: It's going on for sure.
18:30
Speaker 1: Man Put it on us.
18:31
Speaker 1: Man, what you got in nuggets today, play All right, all right, so get this started here.
18:35
Speaker 2: I want to pivot off of what the D hustle was talking about.
18:38
Speaker 2: The Apple Watch is here.
18:39
Speaker 2: I would have just bear with me here.
18:41
Speaker 2: I'm gonna give you guys a little Little story that happened to me yesterday here.
18:45
Speaker 3: Here he goes.
18:46
Speaker 2: So yeah, I had jury duty yesterday and I was freaking out yesterday.
18:51
Speaker 2: You know it's going through my routine.
18:53
Speaker 2: Got home, you know, taking off my clothes pause, you know and you know did my thing shower and all that and I started freaking out.
19:01
Speaker 2: I went to my Apple Watch base and I couldn't find my watch and I was like, alright, there's no one else in the house and somebody pranking me I was, you know, took out my iPhone, did find Apple Watch you know I can't hear the ping.
19:14
Speaker 2: I was freaking out.
19:15
Speaker 2: I looked everywhere, retraced, everywhere I went I was like where the freak is this damn watch?
19:20
Speaker 2: And somehow I just miraculously opened the garbage can and, sure enough what, I accidentally threw my watch away with taking out the trash.
19:29
Speaker 2: So, yeah, what that realized I started panicking.
19:35
Speaker 2: I realized I cannot live without this.
19:38
Speaker 1: Look at how much you like disconnected from naked without a pause.
19:42
Speaker 2: I was so happy to get my watch back and just pivoting off of this first story here, I don't know if you guys have heard Apple has put a pause To the Apple Watch series 9 and the Ultra 2's.
19:54
Speaker 2: Oh, yeah, so right now the sales have paused on the ultra 9, series 9 and the ultra 2's.
20:00
Speaker 2: I don't know what you know you guys have.
20:02
Speaker 2: Yeah, I have the latest series, sc, here, but for some reason Apple is going into a legal dispute with a health tech company called miss a mo.
20:10
Speaker 2: So basically what that means is the series 9 and ultra 2's has the more enhanced Features in there, which kind of tailors around health.
20:19
Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, yeah.
20:20
Speaker 2: So, for whatever reason, until they get this legal dispute Figure it out I don't know why or when they're gonna figure it out, but the series 9 and the ultra 2's can't sell it.
20:29
Speaker 2: They can't sell it.
20:30
Speaker 2: Wow, so it's got these health features that are built into it.
20:33
Speaker 2: Yeah, I don't know what the legal beef.
20:35
Speaker 2: Those two are going at it, but right now the sales are paused on those until they're crazy.
20:41
Speaker 1: I mean D hustles announcing like, yeah, we're about to get some new features and now we like, yeah, because of lawsuits, now we're gonna be able to have.
20:47
Speaker 2: Now we have to pause that they're still gonna sell the other ones, the.
20:50
Speaker 1: SC's.
20:50
Speaker 2: But just the series 9 and the ultra 2's.
20:53
Speaker 2: Those are on hold for now.
20:54
Speaker 2: That is crazy, yes.
20:56
Speaker 1: I mean, and let me tell you these, these litigations and I believe D hustle has something that you were gonna talk about like Google Also had some litigation and on some stuff where they had to go pay some money.
21:04
Speaker 1: But these companies are really dealing with these challenges when they have disputes with other partners and or software developers.
21:11
Speaker 1: That basically tells them to stop making products and or stop selling these watches.
21:17
Speaker 2: Yeah, that is crazy.
21:18
Speaker 2: Yeah, I don't know.
21:20
Speaker 2: I guess they're using some kind of health features from this company.
21:22
Speaker 2: I would assume.
21:23
Speaker 2: Yeah hopefully they get it figured out, because I said I cannot live without my watch.
21:28
Speaker 2: I mean.
21:29
Speaker 1: I want to take a quick step back, real quick.
21:31
Speaker 1: How in the world did you throw your watch and the garbage play?
21:35
Speaker 1: I mean, was it like you?
21:36
Speaker 1: You wrapped it up accidentally.
21:38
Speaker 2: What I think happened is you know, when you take the bands off, I like to take the bands off and put it on the charger base.
21:44
Speaker 2: For whatever reason, I don't know.
21:46
Speaker 2: I think the watch got entangled with the garbage and I just do it.
21:52
Speaker 2: You know, I don't know.
21:54
Speaker 3: So you're taking off your watch while you get in the trash?
21:57
Speaker 2: Well, I I don't know how it happened.
21:59
Speaker 3: I found it in the trash right.
22:00
Speaker 3: What are you?
22:00
Speaker 2: saying fuck happened.
22:02
Speaker 2: I know, I don't know how it happened.
22:04
Speaker 2: He got caught up in the entanglement with his watch in the garbage.
22:08
Speaker 2: Yeah, I was.
22:08
Speaker 1: Yeah, it's crazy, yo, that's some of the craziest things that happened and then look at, look at how it made you go drive yourself crazy to go find it.
22:15
Speaker 1: That is hilarious, bro.
22:17
Speaker 1: Well, I'm happy you found it, because you could have easily tied that garbage back up and it would have been out players All right.
22:25
Speaker 1: So what we got next on these nuggets list plan?
22:27
Speaker 2: next thing is I know, you know I look at you and D hustle for the fashion.
22:32
Speaker 2: More D hustle, you know he's our Mr Fashion guy.
22:34
Speaker 2: D hustles always got the hipster shirt, she's got the shoes.
22:41
Speaker 2: You know I look towards him, then you towards the fashion and this topic here.
22:48
Speaker 1: Get some clarity.
22:49
Speaker 1: No, no, you.
22:50
Speaker 1: You look for him for fashion, and then what you look for?
22:55
Speaker 2: One, two, like you know, just you know.
22:58
Speaker 2: Like I said, I don't know if you guys just watched the Joe Button podcast, but mall was like the fashion guy.
23:02
Speaker 2: That's how I look at.
23:03
Speaker 2: D hustle is on this podcast as the fashion here, yeah.
23:14
Speaker 2: So I don't know if, like, like I said, you guys I know you guys are into fashion and the sunglasses I don't know what kind of style.
23:21
Speaker 2: I would think I think the sunglasses you and D hustle have a Ray band styles or what kind of glasses.
23:26
Speaker 1: Ray band.
23:26
Speaker 1: Okay, I don't have Ray bands.
23:28
Speaker 2: Okay, well, I think you have the Ray band style, though they might not be Ray bands, but the style so bootleg one.
23:33
Speaker 2: So have you guys heard of Ray band stories?
23:36
Speaker 2: Sunglasses.
23:38
Speaker 1: Yo tell me a little bit about it, though.
23:40
Speaker 2: So basically there are sunglasses so they're Ray band sunglasses made by meta, and basically these glasses I think they sold me.
23:52
Speaker 2: Basically there are for people who want audio and video on their head.
23:57
Speaker 2: Basically, it records videos, bobby D.
23:59
Speaker 2: It takes pictures and plays music.
24:01
Speaker 2: It streams directly to Instagram.
24:05
Speaker 2: Let's just say you're out, you know, out and about at the park, or a video, whatever with your kids.
24:10
Speaker 2: You can literally say, hey, meta, stream this to Instagram.
24:14
Speaker 2: It will take the video or take the picture and literally stream it automatically.
24:18
Speaker 2: And now they just are doing a beta version.
24:21
Speaker 2: May it meta just added AI to it.
24:24
Speaker 2: So now let's just say you're at the supermarket and you're looking at different coffees, bobby, yeah, you can tell the AI, hey, can you look at these different coffees and tell me which one has caffeine in it or doesn't?
24:35
Speaker 2: The AI will analyze it.
24:37
Speaker 2: This is still in beta mode, it's not great, but it will tell you hey, bobby D, this one doesn't have caffeine in it or this one has it.
24:43
Speaker 2: So, yeah, the Ray band stories they literally look like glasses and you could take pictures and records with people and they won't even know it.
24:49
Speaker 2: Every other sunglasses, so, yeah, so Ray band stories are $300.
24:53
Speaker 2: Yes, they look yeah, yeah, no, they look fashionable.
25:00
Speaker 1: Yeah, a front, and I believe they just released them about a month ago.
25:04
Speaker 1: Mother to ago.
25:05
Speaker 2: Yes, they came out in October, correct.
25:07
Speaker 3: Yeah, I have a pair of that, but thinner, uh-huh.
25:10
Speaker 1: Yeah, I mean, if you look at the side and for the audience we're pulling up a picture and we'll throw it in the podcast Discord.
25:16
Speaker 1: But we pull up the picture of what the Ray bands look like and you can see like the sides are just a little bit thicker, right?
25:20
Speaker 1: Yeah, I mean, I bet you that's where the battery and shit.
25:24
Speaker 2: Right, it's got the music played in and you play, you know right, you thinking about getting one right.
25:28
Speaker 2: I'm thinking about it.
25:29
Speaker 2: $300 doesn't seem crazy.
25:30
Speaker 2: Yeah, that's normal for the price I pay.
25:33
Speaker 3: I pay almost $400 for my glasses.
25:35
Speaker 2: Well, you see, look like a Ray band.
25:37
Speaker 2: That's why you are the fashion guy, okay.
25:43
Speaker 4: Okay.
25:45
Speaker 3: Not a bad idea is just the frame is looking at okay.
25:49
Speaker 3: If you wear glasses of the, the pinning on the frame with type of.
25:53
Speaker 1: For your style.
25:54
Speaker 1: Okay, let me go north, start thinking on this shit.
25:57
Speaker 1: Yo, what?
25:58
Speaker 1: Literally?
25:59
Speaker 1: What we're saying is is that we're gonna be walking around with AI being able to see everything we want or we have in front of us, like it's a little camera walking around with us.
26:08
Speaker 1: Is that right?
26:09
Speaker 2: Correct, but you have to interact or you have to tell the AI, hey, look at this picture.
26:13
Speaker 2: I mean it's it's in beta mode right now, but that is correct.
26:16
Speaker 2: Essentially, yes.
26:17
Speaker 1: But yo meta is not playing, because if you think the future or what the future is gonna look like, we're gonna live in a society where everything is recorded.
26:24
Speaker 1: I mean, technically, a lot of things are recorded.
26:26
Speaker 1: We don't even know we're being recorded, but now it's even gonna be even more.
26:28
Speaker 1: Yeah, I wonder if they have like an indicator light on it that tells you when it's recording and stuff like that.
26:37
Speaker 3: That's what I kind of like the incognito about it.
26:39
Speaker 3: People doesn't know, you know just taking the pictures or the video and it just looks funny I used to have I think myself and Bobby used to have glasses like that.
26:48
Speaker 3: Yeah that was able to talk on the phone.
26:51
Speaker 1: Really it was a Bose one.
26:52
Speaker 1: Oh yeah, yeah it wasn't.
26:54
Speaker 3: It wasn't able to take media or anything like that.
26:57
Speaker 3: You was able to get your phone here from your headphones.
27:00
Speaker 3: It was just a button.
27:01
Speaker 3: Oh, I was like you would have a conversation and there was times that actually I got the idea from Bobby because he had a first oh, that's dope.
27:08
Speaker 3: And then I went to go and pick one up myself and I don't know it was pretty well, but I just don't see my wear, myself wearing those glasses over and over.
27:18
Speaker 1: Okay, I felt like I was wearing batteries on the side of my face.
27:22
Speaker 3: The frame where your ear is so big that's my thing, it's so big Like I don't want to the glasses in the front of the grip, but once you get back to the back, it's so big Like I got you, but I understand where they're going to put the stuff at.
27:34
Speaker 2: Right.
27:35
Speaker 3: It has to be in the side Right.
27:38
Speaker 3: What they doing now.
27:39
Speaker 3: I mean, I wouldn't mind checking it out.
27:40
Speaker 1: Yeah, so the bowls were just audio and now, now they've taken it to the next level with Ray bands with audio and audio and video.
27:48
Speaker 2: Yes, and now they just recently added AI to it.
27:50
Speaker 2: It's still in beta mode, but yeah, so yeah, that's going to be interesting.
27:55
Speaker 1: Yeah, big shout out to them.
27:56
Speaker 1: Though, raymond, keep me posted.
27:59
Speaker 1: I want a discount Ray band coming to sponsor over here on the tech house.
28:03
Speaker 1: So we got you.
28:05
Speaker 2: Anyone of you guys try those glasses out?
28:07
Speaker 2: Let us know if they're worth it.
28:08
Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, we'll write a review or something like that.
28:10
Speaker 1: I go to the mall.
28:11
Speaker 3: I'm gonna go to.
28:11
Speaker 3: I'm gonna go to one of these stores that sells sunglasses.
28:14
Speaker 3: Hopefully is there.
28:15
Speaker 2: If not it might.
28:15
Speaker 3: It might be one of those have to be special order or something?
28:19
Speaker 2: Yeah, special order, yeah, yeah.
28:21
Speaker 3: As a matter of fact, they go to the glasses right there, the bowls.
28:23
Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, that's the bowls ones.
28:24
Speaker 1: Yeah, I only used to rock it when I wore a hat because it just looked so like weird on the side of my face.
28:30
Speaker 1: Like I said, it was like I was wearing two little batteries on the side of my face.
28:33
Speaker 3: Now the thing I hated the most was I was talking and people looked at me like I was crazy.
28:40
Speaker 4: Yeah.
28:40
Speaker 3: And I was like no, I'm on the phone.
28:42
Speaker 1: They're like I don't see no headphones on I don't see nine on, I'm like yeah, yeah and low key.
28:48
Speaker 1: It almost like whispers in your ear, right, and it's at a perfect angle that people around you won't even hear it, and it's just like whispering right in your ears.
28:56
Speaker 2: This is the new air, so yeah, no, this is like the meta is you can?
28:59
Speaker 2: Listen to music and no one's going to know.
29:01
Speaker 2: But you, yeah.
29:02
Speaker 2: So you know you're bobbing your head.
29:04
Speaker 2: They're gonna be looking at you strange.
29:05
Speaker 3: I feel good about it.
29:06
Speaker 3: That's what's up, girl.
29:07
Speaker 1: Congratulations to Ray Banz and meta.
29:10
Speaker 1: Yeah, can't see, can't wait to see what y'all create with this.
29:14
Speaker 3: I will say that and we say that is expanding, yeah, they're stretching because they can't.
29:20
Speaker 1: I mean, social media isn't just it, no more.
29:21
Speaker 1: They have to, you know, stretch their, their, their dollar, because they're multi, you know, billion dollar company.
29:26
Speaker 1: They got to survive.
29:27
Speaker 1: And if we're going to mention AI, they're actually one of the foundation or foundational companies that introduced an open source AI or language model that a lot of people use is called Lambda and it comes from meta, so I knew they had something working over there.
29:42
Speaker 1: I mean, I know a lot of engineers over there.
29:44
Speaker 1: Yeah, oculus and stuff like that Actually low key.
29:47
Speaker 1: I can't wait until the Oculus and this product, like the Ray Banz, kind of merged together, because the Oculus is still kind of a big device on the first ladies and gentlemen, I think that's where it's going.
29:57
Speaker 1: Yeah, it's giving you the source.
29:58
Speaker 1: I mean I told y'all North Star thinking like y'all better start recording this stuff.
30:03
Speaker 1: Billion dollar ideas come out of here Are we giving it to them.
30:07
Speaker 3: We don't want to hear that you stole the idea for months.
30:09
Speaker 3: You better come out of that Fact.
30:10
Speaker 1: Trademark trademarking in there, in or come to the tech also.
30:14
Speaker 1: Community, let's build it together.
30:15
Speaker 1: You got some great minds here.
30:17
Speaker 1: We're trying to level everybody up in the process.
30:19
Speaker 1: I tell people all the time we're building a community that's going to make billion dollar companies, so how about your?
30:23
Speaker 3: boy, how about your boy?
30:24
Speaker 3: How about?
30:25
Speaker 1: you.
30:25
Speaker 3: I'm sure D D let's go.
30:27
Speaker 1: What up, raymond?
30:27
Speaker 1: I know you got another nugget coming, coming away.
30:30
Speaker 2: All right.
30:30
Speaker 2: Last last thing here, gentlemen oh man, growing up watching this movie.
30:36
Speaker 2: This is one of my favorite movies.
30:37
Speaker 2: This is what you got.
30:38
Speaker 2: This is my dad's favorite movie.
30:40
Speaker 2: I don't know if you guys saw the trailer.
30:41
Speaker 2: It came out last Thursday.
30:43
Speaker 2: What movie they are making?
30:45
Speaker 2: Another Beverly Hills cop by the D D Husser.
30:51
Speaker 1: Eddie Murphy Eddie Murphy's coming back.
30:58
Speaker 2: Now I mean just it brought tears to my eyes seeing this, not only watching this trailer.
31:04
Speaker 2: Have you seen it, D Hussle?
31:05
Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, let's play a little bit of a rain.
31:07
Speaker 3: Let's see I've seen it like four times already they're bringing back the old players.
31:11
Speaker 3: Yes, Some old players back.
31:12
Speaker 3: I feel real good about it.
31:13
Speaker 3: I do too.
31:14
Speaker 3: It doesn't get.
31:15
Speaker 3: Let's watch the trailer here.
31:17
Speaker 3: So we'll play this Not.
31:20
Speaker 1: Ah, classic, they put a little bit big in there.
31:26
Speaker 1: Oh, we ready, we ready, we ready, we ready.
31:29
Speaker 3: The thing is is that they're bringing all the players back, which is good, and Eddie Murphy has been doing acting for a long period of time.
31:36
Speaker 3: Facts, facts, I know you guys don't see him in theater because he's doing mostly like like Shrek and other stuff.
31:41
Speaker 3: More kiddie stuff, kistoff, pg, yeah, just did a movie out a couple of months ago on Netflix.
31:48
Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, yeah, um, something about candy Some stuff.
31:51
Speaker 4: Yeah, I got to look at up there, but other than that man he's.
31:54
Speaker 3: I can't wait, I'm pumped.
31:55
Speaker 1: I'm pumped too.
31:56
Speaker 1: You know low key.
31:57
Speaker 1: I forgot how action movies Eddie Murphy used to do back in the days.
32:00
Speaker 1: Yeah, because uh, billy Huss Cop, like you said, is a classic and if I remember my uncle, raymond, he used to make us sit down and watch that stuff.
32:08
Speaker 2: He knew every word, word for word, like literally, like Axel Foley.
32:12
Speaker 2: I mean they're bringing like a D Hussle said, they're bringing the whole crew back, taggered.
32:16
Speaker 2: You know, billy, yeah.
