- 0:00Today I will share with you my top 6 tips for a remote workers.
- 0:06So I have been a remote worker and digital Nomad for two and a
- 0:10half years now. Now I am super productive but it
- 0:14has not always been like that when I first started out as a
- 0:17remote worker I would find it so hard to get motivated and get
- 0:21work done that. I ended up spending all my
- 0:24money, just backpacking around South America and I had to take
- 0:28a job again. Back home in Stockholm, and
- 0:32start over, trying to become a remote worker.
- 0:34So I don't want that to happen to you.
- 0:36So, here are my top tips that really helped change that and
- 0:39gave me motivated, productive and energized as a remote
- 0:43worker. The first tip is to have a
- 0:46weekly schedule. So this is a mistake that I did.
- 0:50When I first started out, I would I wouldn't have a
- 0:53schedule. I would just see what needed to
- 0:56be done and there was just Randomness so really going?
- 1:00To an Excel sheet and plan after days, Monday, Tuesday,
- 1:04Wednesday, etc. Etc.
- 1:06Which states will you be free, right?
- 1:08Which days will you do? No work.
- 1:10When will you stop working? When will you start working?
- 1:14Where will you take breaks if you have several projects?
- 1:17Which days do you work on one project which days to work on
- 1:21another project? And this has a really helps me
- 1:24to keep productive. So for example, on Thursdays I
- 1:28record seven videos. Those before lunch by having
- 1:32that, in my schedule, I feel pressured to do these seven
- 1:36videos. Well, if I hadn't had that in my
- 1:40schedule, then I probably would end up creating me one video,
- 1:43maybe no videos. So very, very important and here
- 1:47is an example of how my schedule looks like right now.
- 1:54Tip number two is to take breaks.
- 1:57This is so important. Sometimes I really get into a
- 2:00flow and I forget to take breaks, but what happens then is
- 2:04that my energy levels gets so low.
- 2:09I feel so drained and I end up not being very productive.
- 2:13So my health coach recommends to take a break, every 50 minutes.
- 2:19Don't wait longer than that. Do some stretches.
- 2:23Go outside, breathing some fresh air, get hydrated.
- 2:27Drink some water by looking at the screen for too long and can
- 2:30also get nauseous. I find that.
- 2:32And also my back hurts when I said to for too long and you
- 2:36definitely don't want to have back problems.
- 2:39Tip number three is to use a Pomodoro Timer.
- 2:43So what is this? This is a timer that is set to
- 2:4725 minutes during this 25 minutes.
- 2:50There are zero Distractions. So your phone should be on
- 2:55silent. No email tabs.
- 2:58No other tabs. You just hundreds.
- 3:00Focus on the task you doing and then you get a break.
- 3:04Most people would sit around 5, minute breaks when they can do
- 3:06whatever they want to and then again, 25 minutes, just go for
- 3:10it. This is a very effective tip on
- 3:13staying productive, especially if you're going to maybe write a
- 3:16blog post or some other like overwhelming task, then you
- 3:20really really get into the flow. Tip number four is to use a
- 3:24nootropic. So this is the one that I use is
- 3:29called Mind lab Pro. So if you haven't heard about
- 3:33nootropics, it's a brain boosting supplement so it has
- 3:38lots of vitamins. It has, you can see here it has
- 3:42lion mane, mushroom l-theanine Etc, that really helps you
- 3:50memorize memorize Focus, stay productive with most vitamins.
- 3:56I don't really feel much difference.
- 3:58I guess it does something on the inside but with no Tropics.
- 4:01However oh you feel it, it almost becomes impossible to
- 4:06stop working. You just want to keep on working
- 4:09working working very very effective.
- 4:12I prefer mine like Pro because it doesn't have caffeine.
- 4:15I'm trying to stay off caffeine I've heard it's not very good.
- 4:19That's a little tip for you tip number five is to avoid
- 4:22distractions. So I think most phones nowadays
- 4:26we have a do not disturb mode and this is really helpful for
- 4:32ads. You see how it looks like.
- 4:34This one when this is on, you will not be disturbed by calls
- 4:42notifications until you press the button again you can see all
- 4:45the notifications so really use that when you don't want to be
- 4:50disturbed another way of avoiding.
- 4:52Distractions and be more productive is to only check your
- 4:55emails at certain times of the day.
- 4:59So you might say 9:00 in the morning, 12 5 p.m. and that's
- 5:03it. You cannot check your emails.
- 5:05Me and more than that, I used to be addicted to checking emails,
- 5:09I would have notification and every time an email popped up, I
- 5:12would be like oh, what's this? What's this?
- 5:14What's this? And by the end of the day, I had
- 5:17not accomplished matched. My day had just been spent
- 5:19replying to emails tip number 6. This is to make a playlist of
- 5:24music that keep you motivated and productive.
- 5:29You can do this either in YouTube Spotify or ever you find
- 5:33your music. Think about what makes you
- 5:35productive is it piano music? Is it more upbeat house music,
- 5:41whatever that is, make it feel it playlist and play it while
- 5:45you are working. One type of music, I can really
- 5:48recommend is binaural beats. So this is music that have
- 5:51certain in frequencies which makes you productive and
- 5:56focused. So you can just search on
- 5:59YouTube binaural beats for focus and you'll find many great ones
- 6:03for free. So those were my tips.
- 6:06Let me know your tips in the comments below.
- 6:09I'd love to hear and get inspired.
- 6:11Have a beautiful day. Bye.
