- 1:24This is Viewpoint this Sunday.
- 1:30Welcome to the weekend news magazine.
- 1:37CBS 60 Minutes says Trump says government shutdown ends when Democrats give in.
- 1:43And if they don't vote, well, that's their problem.
- 1:46The Fox News headline, Trump urges GOP to end the shutdown by going nuclear on the Senate filibuster.
- 1:53And Trump has been very uh outspoken about that right now.
- 1:57And uh many some people are actually thinking it's a little bit of a ploy playing John Thune that I've actually had people say to me that he probably has sent in Thun's here not to do it, but publicly saying to do it.
- 2:08I'm not sure I buy that exactly.
- 2:10Uh I'm getting the impression Trump is ready to blow up the whole system, actually.
- 2:15We'll talk a little bit about that today for sure.
- 2:17And by the way, over the weekend here, the uh Senate is hoping for a uh a miracle.
- 2:22Boy, they need a whole lot of miracles, I have to tell you.
- 2:25Uh, but uh majority leader John Thune has kept the senators in Washington and holding them hostage, in fact, legal hostage.
- 2:32How do you like that?
- 2:33So we got all that going on.
- 2:35Uh government shutdown is big on everybody's mind.
- 2:38It's affecting all kinds of things.
- 2:40Got some other interesting things to talk about today as well, my fellow Americans.
- 2:43Uh Supreme Court is involved in things, Arctic Frost happening here, immigration stuff, high on the list a little bit later in the program.
- 2:50Got some pretty uh pretty exciting things there to talk about here.
- 2:53Let's get started here.
- 2:54Uh got a couple of my favorite gentlemen on here today here.
- 2:57Professor Pedro Blas Gonzalez is here.
- 3:00He's a professor of philosophy at Barrie University, Miami Shores.
- 3:05Uh, professors of uh just really, I think a big thinker and looks at things a little differently than most, a uh unique perspective, of course.
- 3:13And uh love his writings.
- 3:15You can get them on the menu up there and check out some of his writings and what have you.
- 3:19And another gentleman that uh I think is best in class.
- 3:22He's author, a speaker, and constitutional scholar.
- 3:25He's just amazing, Paul Engel.
- 3:27And uh Paul has been doing one of the hardest working guys out there, he's doing some incredible work and has been teaching uh really uh and I love to say this, the constitution for sure.
- 3:38That's his life.
- 3:39He's you know, but also the Bible, uh, two of the most important uh pieces of work uh really in our life.
- 3:45So, anyways, constitution study, 4 p.m.
- 3:48Eastern time, friends, uh on America Rot Laud Talk Radio Network.
- 3:51You can hear Paul Monday through Friday.
- 3:53If you want to get smart, you want to learn a few things.
- 3:56That's the place to go, right there, I'll tell you.
- 3:58So, all right, let's get started here.
- 4:00Uh now the uh this whole thing back and forth with this uh government shutdown business.
- 4:07Uh Professor, let me go to you first and get your uh view at 30,000 feet.
- 4:11You see the clowns fighting back and forth up there and what they're doing, what what's happening here?
- 4:15Now you know, Trump's calling for this break the filibuster, let's just get on with it.
- 4:20He he kind of thinks this whole thing is blown up.
- 4:23He he's actually referenced, he doesn't see the Democrats coming back in power, and he thinks this 25 thing was a one-off, that there's so much damage, and that another way, and he also thinks there's going to be so much success that potentially they can keep them out of power, that they don't win again.
- 4:39I don't know if that's possible.
- 4:41People have been talking about it.
- 4:42In which case he says, blow it up now and let's just get crap done.
- 4:45Uh, and of course, there's a lot of you know pushback on that not to do that because when they get into power, they'll pack the courts and do all kinds of things, they believe.
- 4:53But you know, it's tit for tat, I guess.
- 4:55Kind of what's your view on this?
- 4:56What do you what do you see at this thing at 30,000 feet?
- 4:59Yeah, I I think uh I think uh I think Trump is uh naive about that.
- 5:04Uh I the left is waiting him out, uh, thinking this man will be gone in three years.
- 5:11And when we come in, we're really gonna go for the throat.
- 5:14That's obviously horrifying.
- 5:16Well, no, that's why hold on.
- 5:17That's what Trump is saying now.
- 5:18He he thinks they're going for the throat.
- 5:20And that's why he wants to put them out of their misery now, no?
- 5:23Yeah, yeah, he wants to put them out of their mystery now, but but but they they don't fight fair.
- 5:27I mean, even all this constitutional talk, I mean, at some point they're gonna take the constitution and rip it.
- 5:32Uh so I I don't I'm could I'm concerned that the the Trumpers need more than Trump.
- 5:38Uh they need they need they need to take down you know, the this left once and for all, which is a cancer.
- 5:45It's it's not, it's not conservatives, literally conservative, cultural, spiritual, intellectual, historical, don't have the the winning shot in history.
- 5:56We know that because of the the amount of effort that is required to conserve to keep these things afloat.
- 6:05And meanwhile, these clowns come in and they they corrupt the human mind.
- 6:09I mean, so you see New York City, you see what happens to Virginia, you see New Jersey.
- 6:14Who are these people?
- 6:14Who how come they continue to vote for these fail nonsense?
- 6:18It's because they're completely these are an unthinking people that that are continually, you know, put through the meat grinder of the left.
- 6:26So I I don't know that the the shutdown sooner or later is gonna have to end, but these people are about the party, not about the Americans.
- 6:34So God forbid that anything happens to us here with this, you know, close down.
- 6:39But but they're they're not interested in bringing it back the left.
- 6:42Now they found out that they can use Trump like that.
- 6:45Yeah, and very interesting analysis there.
- 6:47Um, hard to argue with uh any of that, I guess.
- 6:50Uh Paul Engel here.
- 6:52Uh so same thing, Paul, at 30,000 feet looking at this thing right now.
- 6:56Let's stay in on the point, Paul of the fact that, you know, Trump appears to be ready to blow up the whole system.
- 7:03I mean, he's done it pretty well through many areas, and you report on it all the time, but now we're speaking about Congress.
- 7:10Uh, and you hear Professor what he's saying there.
- 7:12It's uh it's a tit for tat game, and they've lost their minds, a lot of people, and the radical left is in control of the Democrat Party very clearly.
- 7:19So is this the time?
- 7:20You know, we've had political, you know, you know, as a historian yourself, Paul.
- 7:24We've had political parties die by on the vine over our course of our history.
- 7:27It's been a while.
- 7:28It's been a while.
- 7:29But is it time for that kind of thing?
- 7:31And what about this government shutdown?
- 7:33Uh, should Thune pull the lever and say, you know what, we're gonna just play hardball right now and get everything done.
- 7:38We can't.
- 7:38Of course, you'd have to convince the American people uh that you're gonna win the next many elections, or we'll really be in trouble.
- 7:44What do you say?
- 7:45Well, part of it is I I don't so much think we see parties die as they change costumes.
- 7:51Uh, you know, we end up with the Whigs, which eventually became the Republicans.
- 7:56It's more of a costume change.
- 7:58But when it comes to the the question of the filibuster, um, I mean, let's face it, Trump frequently is a bull in a China shop.
- 8:05He's not getting his way.
- 8:07He's trying to figure out how to get his way.
- 8:10And my concern is the long-term consequences of how, you know, the the filibuster's been around in the Senate, uh, just about from the beginning, because it's part of the rules of the Senate.
- 8:22It's not a constitutional requirement.
- 8:24It's part of the rules of the Senate.
- 8:26But the question I have is remembering that the Senate represents the states.
- 8:33Uh, are we simply saying that uh, you know, 25 states plus one vote gets to uh decide uh gets to move forward?
- 8:41Um, in many cases, yes, but where's the the consensus?
- 8:47You know, the the the problem as I see it is the filibuster has gone from a you know, Mr.
- 8:56Smith goes to Washington, and I have a a an ethical issue that I don't want to move this forward to a simple, you know, political sledgehammer.
- 9:06And how can I use it to beat up the opponent?
- 9:09Uh, which to me says a lot about uh Congress and politicians as a whole.
- 9:14The thing I like to see is uh I saw a report that uh Senator Kennedy is introduced wants to introduce legislation that says when the government is shut down, Congress does not get paid.
- 9:25No back pay, no nothing.
- 9:27You forfeit, which actually it's funny because uh one, I think it's a great idea.
- 9:33If you're not gonna do your job, we're not gonna pay you.
- 9:35But it's also I I've actually been working on a constitutional amendment that takes it a step farther.
- 9:43And not just the shutdowns, but listen, you are by law required to pass 12 appropriations bills every two years.
- 9:50If you don't, you should be docked your pay.
- 9:53And I want to grade it based on influence, right?
- 9:56So the freshmen pays a small percentage of their.
- 10:00Salary and the senior leadership loses 100% salary benefits, uh, allocations for office base, staff, cars, you name it.
- 10:11If you're not going to do your job, you shouldn't get paid.
- 10:13Yeah, we're talking about accountability here, aren't we now, guys?
- 10:15You know, accountability.
- 10:16And there is no accountability there at all.
- 10:18So these ideas are all good.
- 10:20You know, you got to love Kennedy, uh, the senator out of Louisiana.
- 10:23I mean, he's a pretty, pretty remarkable guy.
- 10:25And uh thinking outside the lines all the time here.
- 10:28And uh you got to appreciate what he's saying.
- 10:30And uh it will impact his own wallet, but he's in it for the right reasons, and that's just pretty clear with the way he speaks.
- 10:36Um, all right.
- 10:37So right now, the we what we've got here is that uh the Democrats have come out uh with demanding this health care, the the ACA, and they want uh these provisions put back.
- 10:50They want to extend them.
- 10:51They were temporary, Paul, at the time, as you remember.
- 10:53It's all temporary, and they want to extend it out and they want to, you know, uh because the thing was never done properly, and it's become unaffordable.
- 11:01They're funny, they call it the Affordable Care Act, it became very unaffordable.
- 11:05They don't want to uh admit defeat, so they keep pushing.
- 11:08Now they're demanding longer periods of time to fund all of this stuff.
- 11:12You know, what really grabs me is when you are in power with all the with the power of Washington, where we're talking about the presidency and both uh Houses of Congress here, and you talk about comprehensive immigration, which talk about a little bit later in the broadcast with uh with a great guy.
- 11:28Um, but we talk about comprehensive, you always hear those words, Paul, comprehensive immigration package, what have you.
- 11:34And then also uh the the health care, comprehensive health care.
- 11:38Uh the Republicans have talked a lot of smack about uh since Obama was in there getting that through, but haven't done a damn thing since.
- 11:44Why isn't it that I don't this is what gets me a little bit?
- 11:47There's no comprehensiveness coming out of these programs.
- 11:51Why isn't that happening with the Republican Party right now?
- 11:55They to me they look like a lot of rabbits just running around the field here, and the Democrats are playing target practice on their asses, basically, the the left, the radical left.
- 12:04Do you see where I'm driving it?
- 12:06I I think so.
- 12:07And and we have to remember Reagan said the closest thing to eternal life on earth is a government program.
- 12:13So even when they create programs that are designed to sunset, what do we see?
- 12:17Oh no, you can't let it sunset.
- 12:19People are dependent on it now.
- 12:21And that's basically the the Democrats' argument about the shutdown is we can't actually follow the law because well, they say because people will get hurt.
- 12:31Um the problem is they got hurt at the beginning when the federal government illegally decided they were going to meddle in the healthcare marketplace.
- 12:38Uh, all of it is criminal activity, all of its unconstitutional, all of those laws technically are null and void, but we keep acting like they're really there.
- 12:47The thing is when you talk about comprehensive, um, there's the dictionary definition, which is it's covering the whole thing.
- 12:55The problem is in in politics, comprehensive is how many pots can I get my fingers in to get a piece of the action.
- 13:03Well, this is a problem, isn't it?
- 13:05You know, well, it is, but it's a problem because the American people keep electing uh, you know, keep showing their own greed by electing people for whom the uh the the rule of law doesn't matter.
- 13:18It's you know, whatever greed, whatever I can bribe you with, whatever I can do to maintain power, you know, in many ways, you think about it, the American people are as addicted to federal bribery as a heroin act is to opium.
- 13:33Yeah, yeah.
- 13:33And we'll talk a little more about that.
- 13:34But I'll tell you, and that's never and it's not that's not going to change, Paul.
- 13:37Just look at the election here in 2025.
- 13:39That's not going to change.
- 13:40So I and I know you speak out about that a lot, but to me, that point is a fact of life in our country.
- 13:45It's just not going to change.
- 13:47Uh, you're the the lowest possible denominator and the non-thinking people who run around as zombies.
- 13:52Uh, this is what they do.
- 13:54And look at how they just bribed New York.
- 13:56I mean, and bribe Dearborn, Michigan, and they bribe all of these cats around the country, and they get into power positions.
- 14:05So it's not going to stop, right?
- 14:06I mean, it's just going to keep going.
- 14:07Uh, it's not going to stop until more and more people realize that what they're doing is enslaving themselves.
- 14:14Yeah.
- 14:14Yeah, yeah.
- 14:15And if they want to be free, that doesn't mean free stuff.
- 14:19It means I get to choose.
- 14:21Yeah.
- 14:21Yeah.
- 14:22So, yeah, I mean, Mondani is a perfect example of the greed of the American citizen.
- 14:28Yeah.
- 14:28I want free stuff, even though we know everyone knows there's no such thing as a free lunch, but I want free stuff.
- 14:35And yeah, until people realize that your freedom is worth more than the handful of dollars you get you you steal from your neighbor, uh, you're right.
- 14:44It's not going to change.
- 14:45But we don't, just because it's not easy to change, and it's not going to change in the short term.
- 14:51I don't think that means we we wash our hands of it.
- 14:53It just means we need to.
- 14:54No, it's not washing your hands, but let me get professor in here.
- 14:58But Professor, what I'm talking about is we have to outsmart the system somehow, because playing by the those same rules that Paul and I are talking about right now, he's always talking about that.
- 15:08And but I don't see that coming back.
- 15:11You're it's just not a reality.
- 15:15So I'm sorry, but it you have to try a different strategy, a different path, and we've got to be able to begin to outsmart.
- 15:22I'm talking about real Americans who understand the fight here.
- 15:25I'm not talking about the imbecile zombies who run around doing this crap.
- 15:28Yeah.
- 15:29Yeah, the real Americans, the real Americans, as we put it, the the constructive people, the people that produce stuff in this nation, have the picture very well in their head.
- 15:39They understand it.
- 15:40You have to break the backbone of the legacy media.
- 15:43These people are not, it's not so much that they're greedy.
- 15:47It's it's it's resentful, it's envious.
- 15:50So if you do not break the back of the media, you have a model of America that is completely not what it used to be, not even in the in the 80s.
- 15:59You you have they have completely taken over the psyche of the human being in America.
- 16:05And but there is a it's it's it's completely the same thing in Spain and in Canada and France, telling you that there is a concerted effort by the globalist leftists to break the back of the people that in fact the ones you're talking about, the ones that are responsible, they don't count.
- 16:23These are these are this is a new world order that basically says you could take your constitutions and you're voting and all those games, and you keep fighting like that, and we're going to take your legs from under you.
- 16:34Americans, the the good working people don't understand that the model that we're trying to fight by is completely outdated.
- 16:42You cannot beat these criminals like that.
- 16:44We have to find other ways to do this.
- 16:45Take, for instance, this uh snap program, Professor, the Snap program.
- 16:49You know what that is.
- 16:50And uh and uh and Paul addresses that in a really great piece uh when the government shutdown began to hurt uh on the network here.
- 16:58And let me just read you this piece here.
- 16:59It's very good.
- 17:00Uh, for a week, uh politicians and pundits on both sides of the aisle have been pulling on heart strings, using poor and hungry children as pawns in their chess game of party politics.
- 17:12What no one seems to point out is that SNAP is blatantly unconstitutional, illegal, and void.
- 17:19That's right.
- 17:20Washington, D.C.
- 17:21has used embezzled funds to bribe Americans into dependency on their ill-gotten gains.
- 17:27And that is, and it comes down to uh he's got, you know, it's uh it's federal, it's um fiscal malfeasance for sure.
- 17:34Now the Democrats are fighting to put everything back in.
- 17:37That one and a half trillion is all this garbage.
- 17:39It's funding uh even funding NPR and AP and all of these uh communist networks.
- 17:43He's trying to put the money back in, trying to do all these other social uh woke programs, put them back in.
- 17:48They're trying to fix the election, the 24 election.
- 17:51They're trying to change that, Professor, is what they're doing with this bribe that they're doing and trying to happen right now, right?
- 17:58Without a doubt, there's there's some fascinating things going on here that that that I'm I might be dating myself.
- 18:04I mean, I come from uh from Cuba.
- 18:06My my father was a a forced uh labor for four years, and that we understood communism.
- 18:12This is a socialist nation.
- 18:15This is already a socialist nation.
- 18:17And what Trump is trying to do and others is get rid of this cancer.
- 18:22And these people are fighting like Dracula with, you know, they're not going to allow it.
- 18:28This is what's going on.
- 18:29So this little myth of both sides are doing this and that, it's not both sides.
- 18:34If anything, the left says it's both sides because they know that tomorrow, when you blame the Republicans or the conservatives or whoever, the both sides issue, they continue to do what they continue to do.
- 18:47So that goes away.
- 18:48That gets completely washed away.
- 18:50It's not both sides.
- 18:51The same thing with the shooting people and murdering Charlie, it's not both sides.
- 18:56The left is this is a socialist nation.
- 18:58People need to get it in their heads.
- 19:00Yeah, let me ask you.
- 19:02Uh, would Trump coming out and talking about this filibuster?
- 19:04He, you know, the one thing he realizes is that the Constitution's gonna send him packing in three years if they don't try to impeach him before if they win Congress back in in the midterms.
- 19:15And uh he knows his times are numbered.
- 19:17That's why he came out like blazing saddle, like boom, right on the spotlight and started uh uh doing things at wreck pace.
- 19:23Nobody could keep up with them.
- 19:24Nobody could Republicans couldn't keep up with them either.
- 19:26Nobody could keep up with them because he knew there was a timeline here, and the clock was moving real fast.
- 19:32He censors that again now, knowing he's got just over three years left.
- 19:35He knows there's a lot to do, and he wants to do as much as he can.
- 19:38He's a historical figure.
- 19:39There's no doubt about it.
- 19:41So I can understand where he's saying, you know, they're just slowing our train down so they can come back and reverse everything, do all this crap again, they're gonna throw everything back in there.
- 19:48He's saying he what he's saying, Professor, help me on this now.
- 19:51He's going for broke, is what he's doing.
- 19:53He's saying, you know what?
- 19:54We're we're just we're we're fed up with this.
- 19:56I want uh you got to get that.
- 19:57I and you know, I gotta tell you, I want to ask.
- 20:00You straight out in your opinion.
- 20:01Do you think he should uh that Thun should come up?
- 20:05And you know, there's gotta be a breaking point to this where Thun says, you know, enough is we just we just can't do it.
- 20:09We can't you can't keep this thing closed and planes falling out of the sky and people, all this stuff happening that's falling apart here by the hour.
- 20:17So do you think they should consider uh knocking that filibuster down and going in with a hard and then you can basically do anything you want to do one, two, three, four, five, six, you know, comprehensive, whatever it is.
- 20:30What do you say to that, please?
- 20:31Oh, absolutely.
- 20:31If if first of all, the press, the the the dummies that watch the MSNBCs, and the press has told the the American people that the the conservatives are the one to stop the government.
- 20:41So if the conservatives are the one to start back the government, that's going to be bad too, because now the conservatives brought back the government.
- 20:47I thought of that.
- 20:48I thought of that.
- 20:49Absolutely.
- 20:50So no, definitely Trump has to do something about it.
- 20:53But but the problem is, again, the problem is you is the education.
- 20:58You did this is a socialist nation.
- 21:00Socialism works on appearances.
- 21:03And these are the people that throw the rock at the the glass house, and then they say, I I I you know, I don't throw rocks at glasses.
- 21:10Okay, so this is what's going on.
- 21:12And Trump is in a losing situation.
- 21:15He needs the people to help him out.
- 21:16That that would be the the so-called conservative republic.
- 21:20It's weird, which you know, a bunch of them are a bunch of silly whores running around just you know, getting a paycheck as as you said it.
- 21:26Professor, I want to say something to uh, but you know, it it I think you might agree with me, possibly.
- 21:31I'm not sure.
- 21:32But but it's not all quite doom and gloom.
- 21:34Back to the education of the young people have I just want to draw a spotlight on something.
- 21:37And I've been paying attention.
- 21:39Uh uh, I'm sure you have out there as well.
- 21:41But it's not quite as much doom and gloom as we sometimes talk about and think about, and we we want to be careful of that.
- 21:47When we look at the rise, uh the faith factor coming back, and you look at the rise of smart young people, and there are plenty out there.
- 21:54You look at just what Kirk movement has done at this moment of time is incredible because it has lit the country on fire and people are coming in, and a lot of people that would have never done that before are looking twice, three times now at this thing.
- 22:06So there are some spots, some bright spots.
- 22:08Are there not?
- 22:09Yeah, absolutely.
- 22:10They are there there is a turn for the young 20-something year olds, common sense kids that work that are going to church some more, they're actually getting married, they're even interested in babies and all.
- 22:22I see that at the university level, but they they they they are on the losing end because of the propaganda machine.
- 22:28It's like if you have 10 doctors and three of them, when you go to the doctor, they put cancer in you.
- 22:34This is the reason that that the left has to get even more violent because they realize that the people are against them.
- 22:41Yeah, yep, yep.
- 22:42All right, Paul, Paul, uh, I'll tell you what.
- 22:44So, Professor and I have uh we're gonna come back at you now, and I uh we're gonna admit and hoping you might come to my side of the thinking and professor's side of the thinking.
- 22:51We think it's time to uh potentially uh um Thun step up now and uh get the vilibuster out of there, just knock it down.
- 22:59That's it, man, and then move aggressively with policy and things.
- 23:03And you know, the other factor, Paul, that professor points out, which is very accurate.
- 23:06They're blaming it, blaming it on Republicans, constantly the media.
- 23:09We we get that, we get that garbage, whatever.
- 23:11But you know, here's he said, if guess what?
- 23:14And think about the think about this a minute here.
- 23:16If all of a sudden this the headlines are everywhere, well, they have said John Thune got with President Trump and they said, you know what, we're open this thing back up, we're canceling filibuster, we're voting right now, that's it, because we cannot have planes falling from the sky.
- 23:27They have every reason to do it right now.
- 23:29You cannot start you have to provide the snap to these people who have who are expecting it.
- 23:34I know there are people out there who this is life and death for them, Paul.
- 23:37We can sit here and be cynical all day long and say bribery and all that, but these people now expect this stuff.
- 23:43Uh it's their food to live.
- 23:45So I there's every reason now to do that.
- 23:47Uh you support what we're saying there, or you still believe that uh that old model somehow can work and someone's gonna hit their head and uh have some brains.
- 23:55What?
- 23:56Well, I I again I look a little bit of history, all right.
- 24:00Um who is it, the Senate leader that killed the filibuster for Supreme Court nominees?
- 24:06Yeah, and everyone for see we got our nominees through and look at how great it is, and then they were quickly bit in the backside when it was used against them, right?
- 24:15So uh, you know, but you can't but if you're played by that model, which is what they're saying, and the but the Dems ain't gonna play clean ever.
- 24:21And Trump points that out, and he's right, Paul.
- 24:24He's right.
- 24:25So then why would you want to understand that sooner or later the opposition's gonna have a power?
- 24:31Do you really want to give them that type of power?
- 24:33Well, well, you see, and again, uh from a you know, the understanding the filibuster is a an internal Senate matter, it's not a constitutional issue.
- 24:42No, no, I know have it or don't have it to me is is um it is not the solution.
- 24:47The the filibuster is not going to save us, getting rid of it's not gonna save us, it's just gonna be a short-term change.
- 24:54The the greatest thing you were talking about is seeing the change in your in the attitudes of younger people.
- 25:00If we want to see a long-term change, it's not gonna come out of DC and it's not gonna come out of Congress, it's gonna come out of the American people that see this pain and say, wait a second, you know, you're right.
- 25:13I'm not getting my food.
- 25:14My air flight, my flight is delayed.
- 25:17All right, whatever next is coming out, and start to see that that's because we've put in in the hands of incompetent men.
- 25:23All right, I'm gonna tell you something back here.
- 25:25This window is gonna close.
- 25:27I'm gonna tell you now, my friend, this window is gonna close.
- 25:30And this time will pass, yeah, indeed.
- 25:32Trump will be out of office at some point, indeed.
- 25:35And if they do have control because things weren't done right now to force the issue of of a of a constitutional republic and make this thing tick.
- 25:43And what I'm talking about is policies that work for Americans.
- 25:46I'm talking about getting things in uh that to make sense and moving aggressively.
- 25:50Now, I think Trump, what he's thinking is if we do a spectacular job, and we and he's planning on that, as you can see, the economic models and the long-term stuff he's doing here.
- 25:59If we do a spectacular job, he's banking on the fact they'll never be in power again.
- 26:03That particular group, that radical left.
- 26:05Now, something will come from that.
- 26:06Changing costumes is is correct, but we don't want them to change the costumes to the radical left, Paul.
- 26:12We want to get that old-time Democrat Party back.
- 26:15We don't want, or something else like that that is some sort of common sense liberalism, real liberalism is fine.
- 26:22It's this garbage and this radical communism and Marxism crap that doesn't belong in America.
- 26:27Fair enough, Paul?
- 26:28Yes, no.
- 26:29Yeah, I I really you know me, epox on all their houses.
- 26:32Political parties to me are not the solution, they're the main problem.
- 26:35Yeah, I know.
- 26:36Uh, but yeah, I want I want people in Congress that take their oath to support the constitution seriously.
- 26:43And you know, I I I'm I'm less concerned about donkeys and elephants than they am the character of the people that are being hired by the American people to represent them.
- 26:54Yeah.
- 26:54All right, there's a lot there, but uh that old model isn't quite going to work at this moment, I believe.
- 26:59There's something more to do it.
- 27:00Uh, real quickly, I want to touch on this, Paul, this Arctic Frost, uh, real fast.
- 27:05I laugh at this story, and you did a very interesting uh piece on this Arctic uh Artic Frost uh comes full circle and bites back.
- 27:12You gotta go up and read Paul stuff and professor stuff, go up to the menu, uh look at Paul Langle.
- 27:17I mean, it really there's nobody like him and professors.
- 27:20Well, you you got two cats here that are best in class.
- 27:23Um uh make no bones about that.
- 27:25Go to the menu, find their names, re go read their stuff if you want to get smart on this stuff.
- 27:29Paul, uh, and you know, it's important we we we say that, and uh and check out their books as well, by the way.
- 27:34Yeah, we just gotta say that so you get this information out there for us.
- 27:38Um, Paul, this um uh Arctic Frost, I laugh at this story so much.
- 27:43Uh it really is it's like comedy hour to me.
- 27:46And so you say here from the thin evidence used by the FBI to obtain subpoenas to the attorneys and the judge who apparently rubber stamp them.
- 27:53Then there's Jack Smith, apparently illegal searching members of Congress and other GOP leaders, uh senators, that's correct, yeah, including a January 6th investigation into a not-for-profit entity that didn't even exist on January 6th.
- 28:06All this seems to smell pretty bad, you say.
- 28:08Well, isn't that interesting?
- 28:10But is this evidence of holding people accountable or merely political retribution?
- 28:13You know, I have to tell you.
- 28:15And and here's the crux of this as a piece here.
- 28:17You say one of the reasons why so many people fought so hard to defeat Trump in 24 was the fear of payback for what was done to him in the first term in office.
- 28:26You know, Paul, you when you try to uh do what they did to that man, and we don't need to go through that list.
- 28:33Uh everybody got has got to know, go all the way back to to the escalator the campaign forward.
- 28:38It's countless.
- 28:3925th Amendment, the guy's meant a lot of his mind to impeachments, to shoot-ins, to um assassinations, to everything you could possibly think of under the sun.
- 28:47It's all there, it's all there.
- 28:49Never has a president or a political person been attacked more.
- 28:53We get it.
- 28:53What the hell did you think was going to happen when he comes back in office?
- 28:57But the point is, as you point out, Paul, but were these crimes or are they not crimes?
- 29:01And there is justice and there is right justice, and we get that.
- 29:04Of course, justice doesn't have a blindfold.
- 29:06That crap is long gone.
- 29:07We're on to the charade.
- 29:09That blind justice is that lady has she screwed the pooch a long time ago.
- 29:14But sorry, Paul, but I don't buy the blind justice crap.
- 29:17Uh, but the point is uh Trump is now playing tit for tat.
- 29:20It is kind of an interesting moment, isn't it?
- 29:22Yes, no.
- 29:23Well, yes and no.
- 29:25I mean, part of it is I would be shocked, you know, that I I'd see somebody as almost beyond human to not want to get revenge for everything that was done to him.
- 29:35Amen.
- 29:36The question is, and this to me is the important question is is it being politically manufactured, or is this hey, I've had the goods on the on the people against me, and now I get to use it.
- 29:49Now, Paul, one thousand percent I agree with you with what you're doing.
- 29:521,000 percent.
- 29:53If you're manufacturing stuff, I do not condone that at all.
- 29:56I agree with you.
- 29:58Yeah, I mean, think of it this way.
- 30:00You picture somebody who's been wronged, and they they they sue and they bring the evidence.
- 30:07You know, that's not a political hit job, even if it is a politician that's doing it.
- 30:11And as more and more evidence is coming out.
- 30:13Now, again, that evidence needs to be verified, and people have the right to their day in court and to spotlight where they don't normally have a spotlight, and the cockroaches are running far.
- 30:24And they're now in their underwear daughters, uh uh drawers, rather, underwear drawers versus the underwear drawers down to Melania Trump, and they don't like it, Paul.
- 30:33I think it's kind of humorous on that level.
- 30:35But yes, you gotta have the goods.
- 30:37And you know, who knows what they're doing?
- 30:39I mean, what's in their bath water, what they're doing in their drawers.
- 30:42I have no idea.
- 30:43But obviously, if they're looking at mortgage records or stuff, you're going to the lowest possible denominator.
- 30:47I almost spit my coffee out when I first seen those uh reports.
- 30:50I just said, oh my golly, wow.
- 30:53What else are they going after here?
- 30:54It is kind of funny.
- 30:55And and Professor, let me give you a word on that.
- 30:57This this uh this whole thing uh political retribution.
- 31:01It is kind of comedy hour.
- 31:02And I uh some of the earlier things, I agree with what Paul says, you just can't do stuff.
- 31:07That's that's a fall down, that's a break of justice.
- 31:09We can't allow you.
- 31:10We don't want to be manufacturing crimes and things.
- 31:12That is not at all what I would allow ever.
- 31:14But if there's garbage there, if there's if there's something in those in those uh underwear drawers they got, I'd say pull the damn thing out and hang them to the cross.
- 31:22What do you say, sir?
- 31:23I'm saying that we are here in this conversation being too polite about inventing stuff.
- 31:28Nobody is inventing anything here.
- 31:29This is the the left is is criminal, and all of these criminal things that they have done, they expect because they treat the the United States as a one-party system, it which is the ultimate end for them.
- 31:42When that happens, think about what happens in South Korea and in Cuba, and you come in tomorrow and you want to clean it up.
- 31:48It is not retribution accountable.
- 31:51And and you don't realize how bad it is because they treat the whole situation as they own the nation.
- 31:56It is it is a power for power's sake.
- 31:59And so once they come in after Trump, they're going to go back not only to that, but they're gonna perfect the system so that you cannot get the cockroaches out of the uh the the drawers, as you're saying.
- 32:12Uh, tremendous thank you here to Professor Pedro Blas Gonzalez, uh constitutional scholar, Paul Engel.
- 32:18Uh, it's it's it's healthy conversation, really is what it is.
- 32:21And uh it's interesting.
- 32:23I knew it'd be interesting having these guys on.
- 32:25And uh, but I think we kind of talked a little bit about this filibuster thing, you know, where we stand a little bit here.
- 32:31And uh Paul's trying to hang on to what we had, which was fabulous, but I think the rules are changing pretty fast here.
- 32:37And uh we may that like you like Paul and and um professor would have both agree, uh, they're gonna tear the constitution up and burn it anyway.
- 32:44So I think we better take control now before they do that.
- 32:47They're pretty close to it, friends.
- 32:49All right, all right, all right, all right.
- 32:50Uh so uh listen, up next, we're gonna well I got a gentleman on that.
- 32:54Love this guy as well.

- 38:07And privileged to be with you always, my fellow Americans.
- 38:09Welcome back into the broadcast.
- 38:11Okay.
- 38:12I want to jump right into this because there's some pretty big stories here.
- 38:15And uh I'm gonna spend some time with this and this wonderful gentleman.
- 38:18Uh it's been a while, but love always loved having them on.
- 38:20Mark Kregorian is here.
- 38:22Uh, served as executive director of the Center for Immigration Studies, uh, believe it or not, since 1995.
- 38:28Uh and again, CIS is uh there's no doubt best in class, uh, and those are my words, but they're very accurate.
- 38:34Uh they're independent nonpartisan research organization, Washington, D.C., and uh the group of people that uh Mark has assembled there do some really incredible work, uh is been uh very very thoughtful uh really throughout all these years, um, even throughout the crazy years of Biden, what was going on there.
- 38:52It's pretty crazy times, Mark.
- 38:54Um so this first story is uh tell you what, it's an eye-opener here.
- 38:59I want to talk to you about this.
- 39:01Uh Biden's uh HHS lost track of nearly half of the unaccompanied alien children released as sponsors.
- 39:07This is so egregious.
- 39:09I mean, you know, I gotta tell you all, if this was happening on the reverse shoe, uh your sound would be definite.
- 39:16This would be uh in my opinion, uh last mark.
- 39:19This would be the biggest story you would hear.
- 39:21We're talking during the fiscal years 21 and 22.
- 39:25The HHS at that time transferred, get a load of these numbers.
- 39:29235,000 249, just right down to the person of these unaccompanied alien children to sponsors across the U.S.
- 39:40And the worst part about it is they lost a boatload of them.
- 39:43Mark, what is going on?
- 39:44How many did they lose?
- 39:45And what's going on with this program?
- 39:47Well, um, our guess is and they, you know, they're the data is we have to in infer some information, but our guess is they lost track of almost half.
- 39:57Our estimate was 48%.
- 40:00Of the illegal immigrants who came supposedly unaccompanied during the first two years of the Biden administration were actually still suing to get the second two years of the Biden administration information.
- 40:15So I mean, we're talking hundreds of thousands of people.
- 40:18Now, not every one of these kids, and they're mostly teenagers, but um they're also some younger kids.
- 40:25Not every one of these kids has been trafficked or anything.
- 40:29Sometimes it's just that their parents were illegal immigrants who paid smugglers to bring them.
- 40:34Biden delivered them at taxpayer expense to their illegal alien parents, which is just bananas.
- 40:41And they just probably don't want to answer the phone when the government calls.
- 40:44But significant numbers of them, we know because of reporting, even from the New York Times, have been trafficked, uh, you know, working in factories.
- 40:54You've got like 12-year-olds working around dangerous uh equipment cleaning factories overnight.
- 41:00There's certainly been, you know, a sexual exploitation.
- 41:05And um, you know, this is if the government's going to take responsibility for these kids, then they need to do it.
- 41:11Yeah.
- 41:11And quite frankly, as someone put it, there was a woman, a whistleblower from Health and Human Services.
- 41:18Uh, and the reason it's their responsibility is there's a unit within it called the Office of Refugee Resettlement that the law says they um ICE has to hand these people these kids over to.
- 41:28Well, this whistleblower um said, you know, it's just uh appalling that they make a phone call, and if nobody answers the phone, you know, oh well, she said it's easier to adopt a stray dog from the pound than it is to be a sponsor, so-called, of one of these unaccompanied um illegal alien uh kids.
- 41:49Well, we know a lot of these kids are in very bad trafficking situations.
- 41:53Nothing is ever a hundred percent, but there's a lot of these kids that I've seen all the stories that are in horrible situations, as you mentioned, the uh the the predators out there and the the sexual per perversions and people that do this evil stuff.
- 42:09And uh there's a big part of this here uh that is a problem.
- 42:13Now, the states with the most missing uh kids here, uh Texas, Illinois, Tennessee, New York, Maryland, New Jersey, Florida, and Georgia, by the way, and those are some of the states with the large, large numbers, but there's it's all over the place, really.
- 42:26And you know what's impressive, uh, Mark, about this is the only reason we know for facts and figures and data that this is not just opinion-based, is because again, Mark and the Center for Immigration Studies uh sued and through the Freedom of Information Act, and they're still doing that, as he just stated to get those other couple of years, Mark, which is incredible.
- 42:47And um, but it is because of that steadfast uh determination of you and your group there that uh we're even know this information.
- 42:56Uh now the big question, finding the kids is important.
- 42:59I mean, and you know, no kids should be going through this.
- 43:02I don't care what their nationality or ethnicity is.
- 43:05I I don't I don't I don't give a rad's ass who uh they need no child on this planet should be put in this situation.
- 43:11I'm sorry, it should not happen, period, and stop.
- 43:14Now, why isn't anybody reporting on this should be the biggest story on the front page, and yet they have got a pass on this, the left has.
- 43:22So it just a corrupt media, what do you attribute that to?
- 43:25Yeah, I mean, it's uh I don't know if it's corrupt media, it's a media that is basically part of the Democratic coalition.
- 43:33And so if they reported on it uh extensively, and there has been some reporting to be fair, a number of years ago, the New York Times did some stories on this to their credit.
- 43:43But if they made a big deal of this, it would be indicting Biden and and uh Alejandro Majorcis, the head of um DHS under Biden, and would be basically vindicating Trump's critique, and you can't say anything that's good about Trump uh if you're in the media.
- 44:02You know, it's uh I mean if Trump says the sun's shining, they're gonna say, no, actually, uh we'll do a fact check on that, and it's not really true because it's dark at night.
- 44:11You know, I mean, it's it's that deranged uh on the part of most of the media.
- 44:16And so, like you said, if this were the kind of thing that were the responsibility uh caused by a Republican administration, every news outlet would be doing special reports, 60 minutes, the whole thing.
- 44:31Exactly.
- 44:32Um because it's uh makes the Democrats look bad, they uh, you know, they'll say, oh, yeah, okay, this happened and then forget about it and move on to the next thing.
- 44:40This is a huge story, is the body.
- 44:42It's a huge story.
- 44:44And you're right, everybody would be on this, and but it's political, it's always political.
- 44:49But it's a shame when you trade your politics and your political ideology for the lives of real human beings and these little children.
- 44:56I I find that an uncompromising situation in my book.
- 45:00And I am not for sale on that metric right there.
- 45:03So that would stop that.
- 45:04And these people are sinful who do this stuff.
- 45:07And if they're trading that in for these lives, they are sick, sick individuals.
- 45:12I'm sorry.
- 45:13Um, that's that.
- 45:14And I close the door on that and we move on.
- 45:16Now, I want to ask you something here about I've been thinking about this, and I I, you know, all right, you comprehensive immigration legislation.
- 45:25You almost say those words and you your tongue doesn't say them properly, you trip over it, you know.
- 45:30It's like, okay.
- 45:31So the the president, the Republicans, okay.
- 45:34Uh they uh the president specifically has done incredible job with the border.
- 45:39I'm sure you have a lot to say about that, because we haven't talked about that.
- 45:42But I mean, uh the numbers and the way they've shut uh changed the trajectory of what was happening down there is pretty much a Houdini trick.
- 45:50It's a ma magic trick, really, with basic fundamental things, of course, but still the numbers are just absolutely off the charts incredible.
- 45:57And what they've done is incredible.
- 45:59They've been able to change that program dramatically.
- 46:02Yet there's no accountability to the left for what they did for those four years, as we're saying here.
- 46:07Now we know this is a slippery slope, Mark, our borders, all of that.
- 46:12But you know, when a political party is in power, as we were just talking up front of the broadcast, this is the time where you need to do some real program rules and really some comprehensive work, both in healthcare, immigration, things like this.
- 46:27You know, all right, there's there's attempts without getting into the weeds too much.
- 46:30You have the Dignity Act of 2025, you had the U.S.
- 46:32Citizens Act of 2023 and 2024, you had the comprehensive immigration reform act of 2011, the other one of 2007.
- 46:40What is it that they don't try to get in there and really step back and try to put together something that is a uh uh uh that can solve this problem in an intelligent way.
- 46:52And I know both political parties don't agree on a lot of stuff, but you know, you know what I'm asking here.
- 46:57Why why isn't that become a focus here to some degree the Republicans take control instead of staying on this slippery slope and falling down on their asses, uh Mark all the time, you know?
- 47:08There's a couple of things.
- 47:10First of all, it's hard to get anything passed through Congress, especially if you only have a two-seat majority in the House, as the Republicans do.
- 47:17So if you know two Republicans vote the other way, well then you can't get anything passed because the Democrats will be united against anything the Republicans want.
- 47:27And then in the Senate, again, you need 60 votes to pass anything substantive because of the filibuster.
- 47:33But I think there's a deeper reason on immigration specifically.
- 47:37And the reason is that open immigration, by which I mean unlimited immigration.
- 47:43So they pretend they're they're for borders, but don't want to do anything to actually limit the number of people coming in, is now a litmus test issue for the Democratic Party.
- 47:55This is like abortion or some other things that you can't be again, you can't be against.
- 48:02And if you do say, look, you know, I want a lot of immigration, but we need to have limits, and if more than the limited number come in, we need to enforce the law and throw them out.
- 48:11If you say that, then you're like uh Senator Fetterman in Pennsylvania, who's basically the only Democrat willing to say that.
- 48:18And he's uh considered uh, you know, persona non grata.
- 48:22They're all gonna uh the party is all eager to primary him and throw them out of the Senate.
- 48:28Um, and so you know, your regular democratic politicians aren't going to stick their necks out and say to Republican, okay, let's um, you know, let's split the difference.
- 48:39We'll give you one small thing, you give us one small thing, and let's get a little baby step in the right direction.
- 48:46Lawmaking and compromising should work in a democracy and on immigration, because the basic conceptions of what immigration law is are so different, there's really no uh there's no difference to split.
- 49:00The Democrats don't believe that it is morally right to not let anyone into the country who wants to come here.
- 49:07Yeah.
- 49:08Uh and you can't, there's no you can't, you know, split the difference there.
- 49:13Yeah, they just don't believe that immigration law is morally legitimate, period.
- 49:17And that ends up that's ends the discussion.
- 49:19Yeah, your analysis is is spot on, and your reference to abortion, you're exactly right.
- 49:23These become very ideologically uh d uh discussions, and then they become non-negotiable on every level.
- 49:30You're you're totally right.
- 49:31Um, that's what this thing has become.
- 49:33It's it really is pretty sick that as a country we defeat ourselves in these ways from these political groups and uh that accomplish nothing at the end of the day.
- 49:42You know, yeah, I want to get your before I move on to this other thing real fast here.
- 49:45I want to just get your uh unless it's a lit question and it's political, but you mentioned the filibuster, and we were talking up front with a couple of really smart guys, constitutional scholar and a professor who uh uh both were uh talking about that.
- 49:57We had some agreements and disagreements both uh in a good way.
- 50:00On the uh filibuster thing.
- 50:01Trump right now is uh he realizes the window is short of time, and he is being very vocal about that filibuster.
- 50:09And because they've been held hostage, federal government.
- 50:11Now we're not too far now from the health care fight, the the with which was uh an abomination, the ACA Affordable Care Act, and which is not affordable, and they didn't make it that way, temporary.
- 50:22You got planes that are gonna be falling out of the sky, other stuff happening, they're all scrambling here.
- 50:26You got snapping people that are counting on this bribery money that uh need it, though, because they really that's how they feed their kids and what have you.
- 50:33We understand that.
- 50:34All this stuff is happening, Mark.
- 50:36I mean, how far do you let this thing go?
- 50:38Right now, they're holding the whole thing hostage, the shutdown, which is was a big part of the talk up front here.
- 50:43But you know, Trump wants to break the whole system to fix it, and he's he's thinking that if we do such a great job, Democrats will never get in power again.
- 50:50Now, Democrats are now moving to the further left.
- 50:52We're seeing that all over the country with these key positions that are rising everywhere.
- 50:56So maybe now is the time to make a move.
- 50:58So, what about if the if this filibuster was taken down and Thune stepped up and said, you know, you know, at this point, we just can't go under this anymore, kids.
- 51:06We can't have what's happening to our aviation system or healthcare system.
- 51:09We need a comprehensive solution there, too.
- 51:11And this is why we need to do this.
- 51:13Now they're being blamed for government shutdown, Mark.
- 51:15Now, maybe they'd be a hero.
- 51:16What is the media going to say then?
- 51:17Well, they're opening up the government again.
- 51:19That's what you wanted, isn't it?
- 51:20Here it is.
- 51:20And this is how we do it.
- 51:21Now get this through, this through, this through.
- 51:23You have a checklist here, and you do what Trump does, which is you you do the bull on the gina shop stuff.
- 51:28You start getting stuff done.
- 51:29Pretty far-fetched, or what do you think?
- 51:31You support that.
- 51:32Well, that's clearly what the president wants, and I understand the appeal.
- 51:36Um there's two problems.
- 51:38In the short run, the problem is the Republicans in the House have such a narrow majority.
- 51:44I don't know that they could pass the things that are necessary that you would then want to get through the Senate without the filibuster.
- 51:51That's a good point.
- 51:52Um the other longer term issue is the argument always for the filibusters that some point, at some point the Democrats are going to get back in power.
- 52:01And if there's no filibuster, they have said openly, explicitly that they will make Puerto Rico a state.
- 52:09They will make DC a state, they will create they will amnesty all the illegal population.
- 52:14Uh, these are these are not changes that can be rolled back.
- 52:17These are nation-breaking policies that the Democrats will pass on day one.
- 52:24Well, Trump is saying they're going to do it regardless.
- 52:25Whether you change the filibuster now, he says they're going to change the rule when they're if they got into power.
- 52:30So if we don't play by this rule now, they're going to do it.
- 52:32What about that argument?
- 52:33That's an argument.
- 52:34It's true.
- 52:35Uh it may be true, but you know, people have been saying that for past number of years, and each time power changes hands, it doesn't happen.
- 52:44But it's but the rules are changing now, Mark.
- 52:46The rules are changing.
- 52:47And you see how radical this party's gotten now.
- 52:49Yeah, I look, I mean, I'm not in the Senate, so and I'm not an expert on this.
- 52:55Uh I'm just conservative with a small C in the sense that I'm reluctant to undertake changes that are going to end up biting us in the behind.
- 53:05Yeah.
- 53:05Um, maybe they're right.
- 53:07Uh, you know, in other words, maybe the Democrats are going to do it anyway.
- 53:10Yeah.
- 53:10It's possible.
- 53:11They almost did it last time.
- 53:12Oh, yeah.
- 53:13It was only a couple of senators uh stopped it.
- 53:16Say they said they weren't for it.
- 53:17Yeah.
- 53:18I don't know.
- 53:18Uh yeah, I appreciate you doing what you just did because anybody who doubted uh that the president is not being real when he says what he says in the past week or two.
- 53:28You just heard somebody who is one of the most honorable uh people, Mark Rugarney.
- 53:33He just simply doesn't lie about this stuff.
- 53:35He just said out of his mouth exactly the facts as what the president has been saying verbatim, by the way.
- 53:41So if you had any doubt, friends, it's now uh I my world it's confirmed because uh Mark's right.
- 53:46Uh that's exactly what's playing by.
- 53:48Let's talk about these uh uh quickly, the CDLs.
- 53:51Uh this is another one.
- 53:52This is another head scratcher here, but the illegal immigrant truck drivers.
- 53:56We've seen the videos, we've seen what's happened of oh my god, horrible situation.
- 54:00People being decapitated and on the American roads, and if you're in the wrong place at the wrong time, you're basically screwed.
- 54:06I mean, sadly as it is.
- 54:08These uh truck drivers are legal uh people that are driving around, can't speak English.
- 54:12They got the CDL, they're getting them from the states that are issuing them out like uh, you know, candy.
- 54:16And nobody's following this thing, and now people are soon.
- 54:19I think Florida soon, California, I read here, yeah.
- 54:22And Trump has ordered California to reform its license of policies or list losing money, and I don't think Newsom really cares.
- 54:28He's he's a reckless individual who wants to run for president.
- 54:31Oh, God help us talk about radical.
- 54:34Uh, what do you think about this story?
- 54:35There's no end to the story, is there?
- 54:38Well, I mean, the federal government does have a role here.
- 54:41Uh we just our current podcast is on this subject, uh, talking to a reporter who's done a deep dive on it.
- 54:48And even though the states issue these commercial driver's license, CDLs, in other words, driving a truck rather than a car.
- 54:56Um, the uh federal government does set standards.
- 55:00It's just that nobody's they haven't done any oversight.
- 55:02California in particular has gotten away with murder, and I think it's actually literally gotten away with murder.
- 55:10Um, because the truck drivers are supposed to be able to read road signs.
- 55:16Wouldn't that be like be a basic requirement, you would think?
- 55:18No, they're not able to read road signs.
- 55:21Um it's it's just unbelievable what they're allowing.
- 55:26And I think you're seeing it in California in particular, because basically they uh consider it the discriminatory if you insist that a truck driver know how to read road signs.
- 55:39Um and you know, be able to uh sort of communicate with uh troopers or any of this stuff.
- 55:45So federal government is cracking down.
- 55:48A lot of states are working with ice.
- 55:50So for instance, at the way station where the trucks have to go and get weighed, going from Illinois into Indiana, there's more than one, obviously, but the ice is there with the state troopers.
- 56:03Yeah, and they weigh the truck and then they check the uh documents of the driver.
- 56:08If he's not able to pass like a basic test right there on the street, they take his license away, and uh that's it.
- 56:15They've done that for hundreds of people.
- 56:17Oklahoma's doing something similar, I think.
- 56:19Yeah, I've seen several reports of that, but now what what will the truck drive once there's uh information is out in the community?
- 56:24Does that mean they start to use the back roads and avoid those places and stuff?
- 56:27They're you know, I don't know.
- 56:29Could be.
- 56:30I mean, that's illegal.
- 56:31You have to, you know, you you have to go by these way stations.
- 56:34Yeah, but they're illegal already by doing what they're doing.
- 56:35They're like good point.
- 56:38I mean, more illegal act than that illegal act isn't gonna really matter, is it?
- 56:41I don't know.
- 56:42And and you know what's so ridiculous is that this isn't peaking lettuce or something that you probably you're not gonna be able to find a lot of Americans willing to do.
- 56:51Driving a truck is kind of an iconic American occupation.
- 56:55If you don't have a college degree, it's actually, you know, depending on the person and everything, it's actually not a bad job.
- 57:02But if we're letting illegal immigrants and mind you, bringing people in on work visas to drive trucks, well, then it doesn't end up being such a good job anymore, and Americans end up moving on to something else, and it reduces opportunities for American workers, just like letting in foreign workers legally or illegally does in every other occupation.
- 57:24Yeah, there's always implications for these kinds of things and things that hurt people that sometimes don't even realize it's going to do that.
- 57:31So it's pretty pretty wild here.
- 57:33Uh and sadly, people are losing their lives because these people literally don't know what they're doing, and they're being issued these CDLs.
- 57:40This is unlawful.
- 57:41It's uh it's inhumane, it's it's disgusting, and it needs to stop.
- 57:46And so I totally support that.
- 57:48Um let me tell folks, uh Mark at CIS.org, I'm sure, correct?
- 57:54Yes, we are.
- 57:54And uh we have the blog post about this, these unaccompanied children.
- 57:59Yeah, um, you know, being spot being lost when they're handed the sponsors, and also there's a link to our podcast that talks about the illegal alien truck drivers.
- 58:07Yeah, and these links uh will be in this post uh for sure when this goes to podcast Sunday afternoon after hearing it Sunday morning on Talk Radio.
- 58:15Ten and six are members talk radio on Sunday Friends, and then podcasts about three in the afternoon.
- 58:20You'll get it on all the podcast networks uh worldwide.
- 58:23Uh, Mark, a privilege always to talk with you and uh it's been good.
- 58:27Thank you, sir.
- 58:28Thank you.
- 58:28Happy to do it.
- 58:29Thank you.
