- 0:16distinctions, possibilities, new ways of thinking and just bring
- 0:20some. Joy into the world, so welcome
- 0:22to the. Coop and let's start your day
- 0:24off in a fantastic way. Hey everybody, good morning from
- 0:29the chicken coop. It's Sunday, so a little bit of
- 0:32a later start because I could wait until the girls were up to
- 0:35record. So we are talking today about
- 0:39the fact that when change is taking place or change is
- 0:43indicated through emotions, sometimes you have to actually
- 0:48wait before you get started in the change.
- 0:52And what is the reason for that? Well, it's because the emotion
- 0:55you are currently in, the emotion that drove the change is
- 0:58not the one that's the best 1 to get you where you want to go
- 1:02next. As amazing as that may sound.
- 1:05Frustration, all the all the shuns, you know, I love to say
- 1:09that frustration, irritation, aggravation, all of those are
- 1:13here to help us understand change needs to take place.
- 1:18They're not the best ones to actually initiate the change.
- 1:22They are the ones that are the drivers for that period of time.
- 1:26But when you get to the point where you're ready to hit that
- 1:29button and say, OK, now I need to actually change.
- 1:32You need different drivers, You need different emotional
- 1:34drivers. So recently I'm in involved in
- 1:38helping somebody make some really big decisions.
- 1:41And there's been a lot of aggravation, frustration,
- 1:46depression, all of those things happening behind the scenes and
- 1:51really driving this person to say, OK, I 100% know I need to
- 1:57change. But what they're doing is
- 1:59they're staying in that same emotion and they're getting more
- 2:03hunkered in that emotion and then they're getting more and
- 2:07more and more aggravated, frustrated, depressed, all those
- 2:11things. And all of a sudden it gets to
- 2:14the point where I'm going to blow my world up.
- 2:16And it doesn't have to get to the point where you have to blow
- 2:19your world up. If you pay attention to the
- 2:21emotions early enough, you can actually make those shifts when
- 2:24you see that they're consistent, before it's at a breaking point,
- 2:28before you say I'm never going back to that job, I'm never
- 2:30talking to that person again. I'm never doing XYZ.
- 2:35You have to read the emotions sooner.
- 2:37And when you recognize that they're consistent, that's when
- 2:40you start to make your plan for change.
- 2:42And you make your plan for change through the eyes of
- 2:46saying, I am going to do this in the best emotion I can.
- 2:50And that best emotion would probably be creativity.
- 2:53It would probably be something that was really looking to help
- 2:57you grow whatever it was within yourself, your world that you're
- 3:02trying to grow. Inspiration, you know, is a
- 3:05great one to go to. Where am I inspired right now?
- 3:08There are a lot of different avenues of which emotion to
- 3:11pick. But I can assure you it's not
- 3:14the -1 that made you make the choice because that is not the
- 3:18best leader for the next phase. And this is how it works when
- 3:21you know, change is taking place and the world is nothing but
- 3:25constant change right now. And it's very scary for people.
- 3:29And you know, I, I can just say if you're tapping into it and
- 3:34you keep looking at it, you're just going to expand it in your
- 3:37own world. So look at yourself, look at
- 3:39what you want and focus on. Look at what you want to do.
- 3:42Look at what you want to create at this point in time.
- 3:45Don't be paying attention to everything else.
- 3:48First and foremost, put the mask on yourself.
- 3:50As the pilot always says or the flight attendant says, when
- 3:53we're flying, in the event of a loss of cabin pressure, please
- 3:57put the mask on yourself 1st and then help those sitting beside
- 4:00you. So this is one of those moments
- 4:02where you have to put the mask on yourself 1st and you say, OK,
- 4:07I'm going to do something, read this from a different emotion,
- 4:10start the change process. And that doesn't mean that you
- 4:13still won't feel the the aggravation, the depression, the
- 4:17frustration. It just means that they're the
- 4:20not the loudest voice. So even if I have curiosity
- 4:23driving while I'm trying to create something, it doesn't
- 4:25mean that I'm not going to feel some of those other things.
- 4:28Of course, will absolutely. We are getting ready to shift
- 4:32directions and some stuff that we're doing.
- 4:34And I can tell you the aggravation was the first thing
- 4:37that was moving me, but I didn't wait till it was screaming at
- 4:40me. I, I noticed it over the course
- 4:42of March and I was like, OK, we need to shift this.
- 4:45So by the end of March, I pulled the trigger and said we're
- 4:48shifting this and OK, great. Now, does it mean that I'm
- 4:53aggravated all the time? Absolutely not.
- 4:55I am not. I'm much more in curiosity, much
- 4:58more in excitement about, OK, this is what we're looking for.
- 5:02This is what we're going to try now, and that it leads me down a
- 5:07better Rd. But does it mean that that
- 5:09aggravation is gone? No, it's still there a little
- 5:11bit, but it doesn't mean that I'm hunkering down in it.
- 5:13It means I'm focused on the destination, not where I've
- 5:16been. And that's the important point.
- 5:19And if you don't know the destination, that's why you're
- 5:21supposed to be being curious, because curiosity leads to that.
- 5:24So the more curious you are, the more likely you are to figure
- 5:28out what's next. And you build the plane while
- 5:31you fly it to the next destination.
- 5:33All right, my friends, I hope you have a blessed day and I
- 5:36will see you tomorrow. Bye.
