- 0:02Speaker 1: That song doesn't get your dancing or singing. I don't
- 0:05Speaker 1: know what will I mean?
- 0:06Speaker 2: I was running around this studio.
- 0:08Speaker 1: Today's variety Big ninety eight point seven. It's gab and Angy,
- 0:11Speaker 1: Sunshine and eighty one Today. If you could walk into
- 0:20Speaker 1: work right now and be like, hey, you know what
- 0:22Speaker 1: I am done. I'm gonna go pursue my dream job.
- 0:25Speaker 1: I think it would help if you had like won
- 0:27Speaker 1: the power ball. So if you fail, it doesn't matter, right,
- 0:30Speaker 1: But if you could quit right now and go do
- 0:33Speaker 1: your dream job, what would it be? Seven oh one
- 0:36Speaker 1: two eight zero one nine eight seven. By the way,
- 0:39Speaker 1: speaking of dream job, you might be able to find
- 0:42Speaker 1: one today.
- 0:43Speaker 2: That's right.
- 0:44Speaker 3: It's the Hired Job Fair and it's going on today
- 0:48Speaker 3: from one to four at the Avalon Events Center.
- 0:50Speaker 2: That's right, Well, you better get over there. There's over fifty.
- 0:52Speaker 3: Employers and you know, you can send your resume out
- 0:56Speaker 3: online all you want, but there's something really great about
- 0:59Speaker 3: meeting an employer in person, and a lot of them
- 1:02Speaker 3: are offering on site interviews, so that may be where
- 1:05Speaker 3: you should go if you're looking for like a career
- 1:08Speaker 3: switch or you're just trying to join the workforce.
- 1:10Speaker 2: Again in general.
- 1:11Speaker 1: Yeah, and that is one thing I think when you
- 1:14Speaker 1: especially if you're like a younger person, as you're older,
- 1:17Speaker 1: you really do start to understand this. But if you're
- 1:19Speaker 1: a young person maybe getting that first job or whatever,
- 1:22Speaker 1: it is kind of crazy that it's not always what
- 1:25Speaker 1: you know. It oftentimes is who you know, right, And
- 1:30Speaker 1: so when you can get that in person interview I
- 1:32Speaker 1: think it is, or you can meet someone in person
- 1:35Speaker 1: or whatever face to face, it goes me such a
- 1:38Speaker 1: long way.
- 1:38Speaker 2: That's sure, all right, Angie.
- 1:40Speaker 1: If tomorrow you had texted me, you're like, hey, gay
- 1:43Speaker 1: by just one five hundred million dollars, which the jackpot
- 1:46Speaker 1: power ball is actually at five hundred twenty six million
- 1:48Speaker 1: dollars or own nice if you won that, and you're like, hey,
- 1:51Speaker 1: I will come into work, but you know, by the
- 1:53Speaker 1: end of the week, it's just going to kind of
- 1:54Speaker 1: be over. Okay, I want to go do this because
- 1:58Speaker 1: I don't care about money anymore.
- 2:00Speaker 4: Wow, would you go do?
- 2:01Speaker 1: So?
- 2:01Speaker 2: My dream job is this so right?
- 2:05Speaker 3: You know?
- 2:05Speaker 2: I love it.
- 2:06Speaker 3: However, my other dream job that I don't even think
- 2:10Speaker 3: is a job, So I probably wouldn't make any money,
- 2:12Speaker 3: but I wouldn't have to worry about it. I feel
- 2:15Speaker 3: like I just bring good vibes, Like I would want
- 2:19Speaker 3: someone to hire me to just kind of hang out
- 2:22Speaker 3: with them during their workday to keep the vibe good.
- 2:25Speaker 2: I don't want to be a personal assistant.
- 2:28Speaker 3: I will get us lunch and stuff, that's fine, but
- 2:30Speaker 3: mostly I'm just there to keep you company, crack a
- 2:33Speaker 3: little jokey joker too, and just keep the vibe good
- 2:37Speaker 3: and positive so you can get through your workday.
- 2:39Speaker 2: Now, that's not a real job, Gabe, and so the
- 2:42Speaker 2: only way to persue, well, well, it would.
- 2:44Speaker 1: Be well, I think that's exactly what Kim Kardashian did
- 2:47Speaker 1: for Paris, right, Oh.
- 2:49Speaker 2: That's right, that's a gig. While she also.
- 2:52Speaker 3: Edited her closet and sold stuff for her and that's
- 2:55Speaker 3: just entirely too much work.
- 2:56Speaker 2: Yeah, but I bring a good vibe, I think. So
- 2:59Speaker 2: that's like my dream.
- 3:00Speaker 3: If I wasn't doing this dream job, my other dream
- 3:03Speaker 3: job would be to just kind of hang out.
- 3:06Speaker 1: And she wants you to and she wants you to
- 3:08Speaker 1: pay her to be your friend. Yeah, Alex, what about you, man?
- 3:14Speaker 5: I quit my job at a gas station to start
- 3:16Speaker 5: working with food and I quit without having anything set
- 3:19Speaker 5: up so, I mean it was a big risk, and
- 3:21Speaker 5: then I got a job at a restaurant and just
- 3:23Speaker 5: moved up from there. I'm working in the kitchen now
- 3:25Speaker 5: and I couldn't be happier.
- 3:27Speaker 4: That's dope. That's really did it.
- 3:29Speaker 3: Yeah, especially because he did it without even having like
- 3:32Speaker 3: a real plan in place.
- 3:33Speaker 2: Yeah, I think that's that's gold. I respect it.
- 3:36Speaker 1: If I were to have won the power Ball and
- 3:38Speaker 1: was like, hey, you know what, I think, I'm just
- 3:40Speaker 1: gonna start hanging out. You know, I'm gonna go do
- 3:42Speaker 1: this because it'd be fun, you know what, I'd love
- 3:44Speaker 1: to do. What it'd be two jobs. I'd want to
- 3:48Speaker 1: be the Minnesota Twins bat boy, oh my god, or
- 3:53Speaker 1: like the football boy for the Vikes.
- 3:57Speaker 2: I like this. How do people get that job?
- 4:00Speaker 4: Like somebody's nephew or something.
- 4:02Speaker 2: That's so funny?
- 4:03Speaker 4: Ashley so fun.
- 4:04Speaker 3: Ashley texted us that she would be a philanthropist.
- 4:08Speaker 2: All right, what's that? That's very noble.
- 4:10Speaker 3: A philanthropist is you know someone who goes and helps
- 4:13Speaker 3: other people.
- 4:14Speaker 2: They do philanthropy. Yeah, they do philanthropy. All right, call
- 4:18Speaker 2: me out on definition. We have to have Emily on
- 4:20Speaker 2: the phone. Emily, what would you do.
- 4:22Speaker 3: Yes, I let the safe office job to bake full time,
- 4:26Speaker 3: and now three months later, I'm running a cupcake truck
- 4:29Speaker 3: and smelling like vanilla twenty four to seven.
- 4:32Speaker 2: I love that this cupcake truck. We need to get
- 4:35Speaker 2: in on this very big gabe.
- 4:42Speaker 3: My good news, my little victory, is that I found
- 4:47Speaker 3: the best vending machine.
- 4:49Speaker 4: Really.
- 4:50Speaker 3: Yes, okay, so a little backstory here at work, the
- 4:54Speaker 3: breakroom vending machine.
- 4:56Speaker 2: That's been letting us down. It's bleak.
- 4:58Speaker 1: Okay, it has been letting us down times of desire
- 5:01Speaker 1: and need.
- 5:02Speaker 2: Yes, exactly, so it's been it's been rough.
- 5:05Speaker 4: Well.
- 5:05Speaker 3: I always I get my steps in when it's too
- 5:08Speaker 3: like hot and muggy outside and there's too many bunks.
- 5:12Speaker 3: Your girl always needs to get her steps in, So
- 5:14Speaker 3: I always go to the Fargo Sports Fargo Park Sports Complex, Yeah,
- 5:18Speaker 3: sports Center, I never say.
- 5:19Speaker 2: The I never say it.
- 5:21Speaker 4: Right by the wal Mart and South Park.
- 5:23Speaker 3: Yes, I love that place, so I always walk the
- 5:25Speaker 3: little blue track. But then I had to, you know,
- 5:28Speaker 3: go on a potty break, and on my way to
- 5:30Speaker 3: the restroom, I saw a glorious vending machine full of
- 5:36Speaker 3: the best snacks, including nutter butters.
- 5:40Speaker 4: Okay, a girl.
- 5:42Speaker 3: Is a sucker for a nutter butter. Those are so
- 5:45Speaker 3: good and it's like a good sized bag. I honestly
- 5:48Speaker 3: I didn't check the price because I didn't I didn't
- 5:50Speaker 3: grab any yesterday because I was trying to, you know,
- 5:52Speaker 3: be healthy and good.
- 5:53Speaker 1: However, that I mean, that is kind of a weird
- 5:56Speaker 1: cruel punishment. They got nutter butters where you're trying to
- 6:00Speaker 1: steps in well.
- 6:01Speaker 3: So today I promised myself, like, if I, you know,
- 6:04Speaker 3: did good time on the track, then I would.
- 6:06Speaker 2: Reward myself with nutter butters. I don't even care how
- 6:09Speaker 2: much they cost.
- 6:09Speaker 3: It's a nice hefty bag of utterer butters in a
- 6:12Speaker 3: very dope vending machine.
- 6:14Speaker 1: I love that for you, all right, Angiel, my little
- 6:17Speaker 1: victory we actually saw at the same time as you
- 6:21Speaker 1: pulled on to twenty fifth Street to drive to work,
- 6:24Speaker 1: I also pulled on twenty fifth Street. It's always easy,
- 6:27Speaker 1: a because I know what kind of car you drive.
- 6:29Speaker 1: But it's always really easy because it's the one with
- 6:32Speaker 1: the not North Dakota license plate. And as we're driving,
- 6:39Speaker 1: did you notice something not two three blocks off into
- 6:43Speaker 1: the distance to the right.
- 6:44Speaker 4: Yes, yeh God.
- 6:46Speaker 1: And I don't want to say what it is, but
- 6:48Speaker 1: there's a get well, I don't want to say what
- 6:50Speaker 1: company it is, but there's a gas station. I swear
- 6:52Speaker 1: to god. They are building at the pace of smell.
- 6:55Speaker 1: Its swing so long for this thing to get done.
- 6:59Speaker 1: But I know there's pep working hard, so I'm not
- 7:01Speaker 1: trying to eat on them, but this thing had its
- 7:04Speaker 1: neon lights on with them with the price of gas,
- 7:08Speaker 1: and I cannot wait, only for the fact that I'm
- 7:12Speaker 1: lazy and I would like a gas station. Three is
- 7:14Speaker 1: fouri ish mis blocks, not miles. Three is fours blocks
- 7:18Speaker 1: away that we can go to instead of having all
- 7:21Speaker 1: the way down to fifty second.
- 7:23Speaker 3: Yeah, you know what, I'm excited for the night where
- 7:26Speaker 3: I make the adult mistake of saying I'll get gas
- 7:28Speaker 3: in the morning, but then in the morning, not a
- 7:31Speaker 3: big deal.
- 7:31Speaker 1: That's right there, right there. Oh, it was so awesome
- 7:34Speaker 1: to see. So that has to mean they're pretty darn close.
- 7:37Speaker 1: They might have to do a little work on the inside,
- 7:38Speaker 1: but yeah, that will go way faster than all of
- 7:42Speaker 1: the you know, all of the landscaping and all the
- 7:44Speaker 1: actual yeah and all that.
- 7:46Speaker 2: So that was a glorious sight for me this morning.
- 7:48Speaker 2: Oh my gosh, what victory.
- 7:50Speaker 4: You're right.
- 7:57Speaker 1: School is right around the corner, and a lot of
- 8:01Speaker 1: students in the FM area are gearing up for another
- 8:04Speaker 1: fantastic school year. And g has two kids gearing up
- 8:08Speaker 1: for a school year. One of them is going to
- 8:10Speaker 1: be a freshman in high school.
- 8:12Speaker 3: My gosh, I cannot believe it. Out today actually is
- 8:17Speaker 3: freshman orientation.
- 8:18Speaker 2: There you go and picking up their personal learning devices.
- 8:22Speaker 2: We did not have like the computer that they give
- 8:24Speaker 2: you at school, like a trapper keeper. No, we're old, Gabe. No,
- 8:29Speaker 2: they give them like laptops.
- 8:31Speaker 4: Oh that's cool.
- 8:32Speaker 1: Yeah, and I can never remember, but leam your younger one, he.
- 8:36Speaker 2: Is going thirty grade.
- 8:37Speaker 1: I thought I was going to say second, but nah, nah,
- 8:39Speaker 1: I was trying to do the eighth. I was trying
- 8:41Speaker 1: to do the age math in my head and numbers. Yeah,
- 8:45Speaker 1: I couldn't get there.
- 8:46Speaker 2: Thank god they're out of school.
- 8:48Speaker 1: With Yeah, right, with school right around the corner for
- 8:51Speaker 1: a lot of FM students here, I have found some
- 8:55Speaker 1: incredible just facts about school that maybe you didn't think
- 9:00Speaker 1: of that you might go, oh really or in this case,
- 9:04Speaker 1: oh I'm thirty four, all right, okay, you know highlighters
- 9:09Speaker 1: weren't invented until nineteen sixty three, so older generations they
- 9:14Speaker 1: took notes without neon colors.
- 9:16Speaker 4: That's why the best.
- 9:18Speaker 3: Oh my boyfriend Mikey, he was born in sixty five, so.
- 9:21Speaker 4: He's highlighter on.
- 9:23Speaker 3: He got to Yeah, he got to experience the highlighters
- 9:26Speaker 3: all right.
- 9:27Speaker 1: Many states hold tax free shopping weekends in August to
- 9:32Speaker 1: help parents save money for back to school shopping.
- 9:34Speaker 4: That's kind of cool.
- 9:35Speaker 2: Okay, where I need this list? I still have it
- 9:38Speaker 2: back to school shopped? You haven't gone yet? No, I
- 9:41Speaker 2: have it?
- 9:43Speaker 4: Wow.
- 9:44Speaker 2: I mean the timing for the music to stop, like records.
- 9:48Speaker 2: How dare you? Okay?
- 9:50Speaker 1: So one of my favorite things in school growing up
- 9:52Speaker 1: was like getting a backpack. It was like every other
- 9:55Speaker 1: a year, I think I would get a new backpack.
- 9:57Speaker 1: Once I got one, I was kind of stuck with
- 9:59Speaker 1: it for about two years so mm hmm. And then
- 10:02Speaker 1: I could always pick out a new one. And backpacks
- 10:05Speaker 1: did not become popular until the nineteen eighties. Before that,
- 10:10Speaker 1: kids were carrying books by hands or with the little strap.
- 10:14Speaker 2: Oh oh yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 10:16Speaker 1: I always thought that was fake. Seeing it in Disney, yeah, seeing.
- 10:20Speaker 2: It at movies. Oh, I didn't know that was real.
- 10:22Speaker 1: Yeah, wow, all right, These last couple are I think
- 10:25Speaker 1: are kind of insane. But the number two pencil became
- 10:29Speaker 1: the classrooms standard because it's graphite hardness worked best for
- 10:35Speaker 1: scantron machines, you know when you.
- 10:37Speaker 2: Take them a little tests.
- 10:38Speaker 1: Oh, I remember the scantn I know they always told
- 10:41Speaker 1: you like, oh, you need a number two pencil.
- 10:43Speaker 2: I thought that was a myth.
- 10:44Speaker 1: I thought they were just trying to remind you to
- 10:45Speaker 1: bring a pencil because I never had one.
- 10:48Speaker 3: Oh, that's funny. I always had number two pencils. I
- 10:51Speaker 3: just I didn't know that there were other pencils that
- 10:54Speaker 3: aren't number two. Yeah, but I guess number two means
- 10:57Speaker 3: that there is a number one pencil.
- 10:59Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 10:59Speaker 4: What's that umber seven pencil?
- 11:01Speaker 2: Looking?
- 11:01Speaker 3: Mind?
- 11:01Speaker 2: Yeah, I don't know. I think we have to ask
- 11:03Speaker 2: an artist. I think Vegas.
- 11:04Speaker 3: It's a shading pencil, which doesn't work on a scantron.
- 11:08Speaker 4: I have two more for you here.
- 11:09Speaker 1: Did you know pencils can actually get more expensive in
- 11:13Speaker 1: August because of the surgeon demand this month, pencils could
- 11:17Speaker 1: be more expensive than if you need them in May.
- 11:20Speaker 2: I don't like that me either. All right, The average American.
- 11:23Speaker 1: Household will spend over eight hundred dollars on supplies, clothing,
- 11:28Speaker 1: and electronics for back to school shopping.
- 11:31Speaker 2: And then this is my final.
- 11:32Speaker 1: Sounds low actually low? Yeah, And this is my final
- 11:36Speaker 1: one here. I don't got to do bag to school
- 11:38Speaker 1: shopping right.
- 11:39Speaker 4: Now for you?
- 11:40Speaker 2: Yeah, you do, because you're gonna help clear the cart.
- 11:42Speaker 2: We'll talk about it later.
- 11:43Speaker 4: Yes, we are all right.
- 11:45Speaker 1: And then finally, did you know back to school shopping
- 11:48Speaker 1: is the second biggest shopping season of the year. There
- 11:53Speaker 1: is only one other shopping season that beats back to.
- 11:56Speaker 2: School, which is that oh Christmas. Yeah, it's like the
- 11:59Speaker 2: winter holidays.
- 12:00Speaker 4: Shop please.
- 12:01Speaker 3: The second is, oh my gosh, but I guess every
- 12:06Speaker 3: kid is going to school.
- 12:07Speaker 2: That makes sense.
- 12:08Speaker 1: Yeah, every single kid's gotta buy some kind of notebook
- 12:11Speaker 1: or pencil or whatever.
- 12:13Speaker 2: You know what I mean?
- 12:14Speaker 3: These days, the Lisa Frank like binders and the super
- 12:19Speaker 3: colorful you're a boy, you probably weren't using Lisa Frank stuff.
- 12:23Speaker 2: Do you remember those?
- 12:24Speaker 3: The super colorful like dolphins with snow globes and it's.
- 12:29Speaker 2: All like rainbow colored. You had a trapper keeper? Humh,
- 12:33Speaker 2: do you know what kind of notebook and trapper keeper?
- 12:35Speaker 2: I had?
- 12:35Speaker 1: Angie, it was a plain black one and a plain
- 12:38Speaker 1: red notebook. That was my notebook.
- 12:40Speaker 2: You're so boring.
- 12:41Speaker 1: I used red for social studies and blue for math
- 12:44Speaker 1: and green for science.
- 12:45Speaker 3: Okay, you're absolutely wrong, And I think we need to
- 12:48Speaker 3: take this to Facebook. I need to know what everybody's
- 12:50Speaker 3: color coding is for subjects.
- 12:52Speaker 2: Because what did you say? Your science one was green?
- 12:55Speaker 3: Wrong?
- 12:56Speaker 2: Defit?
- 12:56Speaker 3: Well?
- 12:56Speaker 4: What yellow?
- 12:58Speaker 2: I digress. We're gone in a different direction.
- 13:03Speaker 1: And one thing that we love the most about individuals
- 13:07Speaker 1: is a self aware queen or a self aware case.
- 13:10Speaker 2: Yeah, that's right, we stand them.
- 13:12Speaker 1: It is very easy to point out someone, you know, like,
- 13:16Speaker 1: oh'd be a red flag. Angie and I were in
- 13:19Speaker 1: my office yesterday and now it is not her fault,
- 13:23Speaker 1: but it kind of is. What Angie, for whatever reason,
- 13:27Speaker 1: has her computer volume maxed out?
- 13:30Speaker 2: Oh yeah, yeah, yeah, I do.
- 13:32Speaker 1: Any time like a little clip or whatever plays, yeah,
- 13:35Speaker 1: it is so loud, so.
- 13:38Speaker 3: Loud, and it's always that I choose the most embarrassing
- 13:41Speaker 3: thing to play at full volume.
- 13:43Speaker 2: We were laughing.
- 13:44Speaker 1: I was like, you know, that might be your red flag, Angie.
- 13:46Speaker 1: Just loud, yeah, phone loud, computer loud, me loud. Yes,
- 13:53Speaker 1: but I love that about you, and you know, Angie's
- 13:57Speaker 1: never afraid to go for it, and I think that's
- 13:59Speaker 1: awesome and so nice. That kind of that joke started
- 14:03Speaker 1: this conversation this morning. It's like, well, what are what
- 14:05Speaker 1: would you say your red flag is? It's very easy
- 14:08Speaker 1: to point someone else's out. What are yours?
- 14:10Speaker 3: Yeah, what would someone say is a red flag about you?
- 14:15Speaker 3: Hit us up at seven oh one two eight o
- 14:16Speaker 3: one nine eight seven. I'd love to know. I asked
- 14:20Speaker 3: Mikey to tell me what my red flag is? Sure,
- 14:25Speaker 3: and he said that my red flag is that I'm
- 14:30Speaker 3: an uber rule follower, like I follow rules too much
- 14:35Speaker 3: to the t.
- 14:36Speaker 2: Right and he does not like that.
- 14:41Speaker 3: He said that I have enough green flags to like
- 14:45Speaker 3: overcome that, But the red flag is like, because I
- 14:48Speaker 3: really do.
- 14:48Speaker 2: I get stressed out.
- 14:49Speaker 3: It makes me anxious when we're not following rules to
- 14:53Speaker 3: the letter, and it's very annoying. I know rules are
- 14:56Speaker 3: made to be broken and rules are made to be
- 14:58Speaker 3: bent or whatever, but I just I don't ever want
- 15:01Speaker 3: to get in trouble. And I feel like you've experienced
- 15:04Speaker 3: that with me, Gabe, where I ask you, like, but
- 15:07Speaker 3: is this okay? Are you sure this is Okay, am
- 15:08Speaker 3: I supposed to do this, But what if I do
- 15:11Speaker 3: this and it's wrong and you're like, it's.
- 15:12Speaker 2: Fine, calm down. Yeah. Yeah, so that's that's my red flag.
- 15:17Speaker 2: Well hold on, hold on, I got it. Interrupt you.
- 15:20Speaker 1: I don't think I've ever told Angie to calm down
- 15:22Speaker 1: once in my life, because I would be terrified of
- 15:25Speaker 1: what would be happening after you know what.
- 15:27Speaker 2: No, don't ever tell a woman to calm down. In fact,
- 15:30Speaker 2: that's a red flag. And a guy if he tells.
- 15:33Speaker 3: A girl to calm down, no, no, no, no no, but
- 15:36Speaker 3: you do always you know.
- 15:37Speaker 2: China like to use this situation. Yeah, that's my red flag.
- 15:42Speaker 1: Seven oh one two eight zero one nine eight seven
- 15:45Speaker 1: ask you can ask your partner or if you know.
- 15:47Speaker 2: What it is.
- 15:48Speaker 3: Yeah, if you're a self aware human, tell us what
- 15:51Speaker 3: is your red flag?
- 15:53Speaker 4: Yes, Jess, she let us know.
- 15:55Speaker 1: Her husband said her red flag was her nighttime crabbiness
- 15:59Speaker 1: when she doesn't go to bed on time.
- 16:02Speaker 2: Oh that's cute. That's a bee flag. That's not a
- 16:06Speaker 2: red flag like orange.
- 16:08Speaker 4: Yeah. Okay.
- 16:10Speaker 1: Crystal asked her partner what her red flag was, and
- 16:15Speaker 1: she said, without hesitation, when you don't get it now
- 16:20Speaker 1: Crystal said that I didn't say that.
- 16:22Speaker 2: Okay, okay, Oh when you.
- 16:24Speaker 6: Don't get it, yeah, uh, Crystal, this is am I
- 16:38Speaker 6: the problem where you send us your side of the
- 16:41Speaker 6: story and we help you figure out if you're.
- 16:44Speaker 2: In the right or if maybe, just maybe you are
- 16:48Speaker 2: the problem.
- 16:49Speaker 3: So we're gonna give this woman an anonymous name. Her
- 16:53Speaker 3: name is gonna be Darla. Kind of a doozy because
- 16:56Speaker 3: this one is a doozy. So Darla Darla. Okay, Hi
- 17:01Speaker 3: gave an Angie. I'm having a bit of a crisis
- 17:04Speaker 3: at home, and I want to know if I'm the problem.
- 17:07Speaker 3: I've been married for three years, and sadly things have
- 17:10Speaker 3: taken a turn for the worse. I made a poor
- 17:13Speaker 3: choice and started texting another man romantically, which I know
- 17:17Speaker 3: is wrong and something I should have never done. I
- 17:21Speaker 3: was hoping I could take this secret to the grave,
- 17:23Speaker 3: but sadly that is not what happened. My husband found
- 17:27Speaker 3: the text and now wants a divorce.
- 17:30Speaker 2: This is rough. Yikes.
- 17:32Speaker 3: The thing is I never once met with the person
- 17:35Speaker 3: I was texting in real life. And oh they never
- 17:38Speaker 3: met in person, Okay, And I think a full blown
- 17:41Speaker 3: divorce is taking things too far. I have sworn to
- 17:44Speaker 3: cut off all communication from this person and have told
- 17:48Speaker 3: my husband he can have access to my phone whenever
- 17:51Speaker 3: he wants to prove this was a horrible mistake. I
- 17:54Speaker 3: have suggested going to couple's therapy to see if we
- 17:57Speaker 3: can work through the issues in our marriage, and I
- 17:59Speaker 3: know when I messed up. I do, however, feel that
- 18:02Speaker 3: getting a divorce over a few text messages.
- 18:06Speaker 2: Okay, wait a minute, I say few text.
- 18:08Speaker 3: Messages is completely unnecessary and not a path we need
- 18:12Speaker 3: to go down. Is my husband wrong for wanting a divorce?
- 18:16Speaker 3: Or am I the problem?
- 18:18Speaker 2: You're right?
- 18:18Speaker 3: That is a That is a doozy. We also have
- 18:23Speaker 3: this on the Big ninety eight point seven Facebook page.
- 18:26Speaker 3: Be gentle, Okay, we're not trying to crucify anyone on
- 18:31Speaker 3: Big ninety eight point seven, but let's give Darla will
- 18:36Speaker 3: call her some advice. Is she the problem? Or is
- 18:40Speaker 3: her man right for wanting a divorce? Wow?
- 18:44Speaker 1: She can't really, you can't really blame him for being like, hey,
- 18:49Speaker 1: this is just not gonna work for me.
- 18:50Speaker 4: Ever, again, here's the thing life.
- 18:53Speaker 2: It's his life.
- 18:54Speaker 3: Maybe this is a controversial take. I think in a
- 19:00Speaker 3: lot of cases, especially if you're in a relationship, a
- 19:03Speaker 3: long term relationship. I do not think that cheating happens
- 19:08Speaker 3: in a vacuum all the time. Okay, So I'm not
- 19:12Speaker 3: saying that cheating is okay. I do not think that
- 19:15Speaker 3: that's okay. However, I don't think that cheating. It doesn't
- 19:19Speaker 3: seem like cheating just came out of nowhere for her, right,
- 19:23Speaker 3: she said she wants to work through the issues in
- 19:25Speaker 3: our marriage. So there are perhaps other things going on
- 19:28Speaker 3: in the marriage where she felt compelled to engage in
- 19:32Speaker 3: what seems like an emotional affair of sorts, right, and
- 19:37Speaker 3: that is a bummer. But she has suggested couple's therapy, right,
- 19:41Speaker 3: and she does want to work through it. And you know,
- 19:44Speaker 3: when you take your marriage vows, usually it's.
- 19:47Speaker 2: You know, for better for worse. This is clearly worse.
- 19:51Speaker 1: This is well, it could be worse. She could have
- 19:56Speaker 1: We're just gonna take what she said, Yeah, at face value.
- 19:59Speaker 1: She could have actually and physically cheated. That could be right,
- 20:03Speaker 1: and I think that some people might not.
- 20:04Speaker 3: But some people might not think that way her husband.
- 20:08Speaker 3: I understand for the husband's knee jerk reaction and be like,
- 20:10Speaker 3: oh cool, donzo bye, right, I don't think.
- 20:14Speaker 2: I feel like it's a problem that you cheated girl.
- 20:17Speaker 3: For sure, She obviously though, is taking accountability for that.
- 20:21Speaker 3: She's saying that she'll he can have access to the phone.
- 20:24Speaker 3: Whatever the problem is. At the root of this trust
- 20:27Speaker 3: is broken, right, okay, And so I guess it's up
- 20:31Speaker 3: to the husband unfortunately, if he wants to work on
- 20:35Speaker 3: building the trust back, which will be hard and takes
- 20:38Speaker 3: a lot of time and therapy which she's hoping to
- 20:42Speaker 3: go to, or if he's like, oh this is too difficult, Mel, Yeah,
- 20:47Speaker 3: but then you have to go back.
- 20:48Speaker 2: To your vowels.
- 20:49Speaker 3: But you said, you said for better, for worse. I
- 20:52Speaker 3: feel like this at the root, it's actually that people
- 20:55Speaker 3: don't listen to those vewls too seriously. They only think
- 20:59Speaker 3: for better, they only think for richer. But once you're
- 21:02Speaker 3: poor or somebody steps out, that's when the real like
- 21:05Speaker 3: dilemma is yeah.
- 21:07Speaker 1: Or if they commit like a horrible crime, yeah, oh
- 21:11Speaker 1: that's also part of four worse.
- 21:14Speaker 3: Yeah, oh my god, committed a crime depending on what
- 21:17Speaker 3: it is.
- 21:18Speaker 2: Bye, But yeah, so what do you think.
- 21:20Speaker 4: It's tough to be?
- 21:21Speaker 1: It's I feel like it's tough to blame him per
- 21:24Speaker 1: se if it's his life, he should live it how
- 21:26Speaker 1: he sees fit. If he doesn't think the mountain that
- 21:29Speaker 1: they would have to climb to kind of rebuild that
- 21:32Speaker 1: is worth is worth it to him. Yeah, you know,
- 21:35Speaker 1: if he thinks, all right, I'm just gonna separate myself
- 21:38Speaker 1: from this, get out of here and maybe try to
- 21:40Speaker 1: find it happiness somewhere else, it's tough to blame him
- 21:43Speaker 1: for that.
- 21:44Speaker 2: Yeah, I get that old. This one is such a
- 21:46Speaker 2: sticky situation.
- 21:47Speaker 3: Also honored that, like she would write into us to
- 21:52Speaker 3: ask for advice.
- 21:53Speaker 4: Very sweet.
- 21:54Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, thank you.
- 21:55Speaker 3: So let us know what you think seven oh one two,
- 21:58Speaker 3: eight oh one to nine eighty seven, text us, call
- 22:00Speaker 3: us or give us an answer on the Facebook page
- 22:09Speaker 3: we had Darla is what We're gonna call her right
- 22:12Speaker 3: in to am I the problem? She got caught emotional affair.
- 22:18Speaker 3: She had like text messages on her phone that were inappropriate.
- 22:21Speaker 3: Her husband found them. She wants to work through the marriage.
- 22:25Speaker 3: She wants to go to couples counseling. She wants to
- 22:27Speaker 3: give him access to her phone at all times. She
- 22:29Speaker 3: wants to repair it. Husband wants a divorce, and she
- 22:32Speaker 3: wants to know if she is the problem or if
- 22:38Speaker 3: she's not, I said that weird.
- 22:41Speaker 2: It's because this is a weird one. This is a
- 22:43Speaker 2: little bit more serious than we're used to most of
- 22:46Speaker 2: the time.
- 22:46Speaker 1: On Big ninety eight point seven. We have am I
- 22:48Speaker 1: the problem. We get to kind of joke and laugh
- 22:51Speaker 1: and kind of you know, take a very extreme take
- 22:54Speaker 1: out of jest and being fun.
- 22:56Speaker 3: Yeah, because they're not the most serious, you know, problems.
- 23:00Speaker 3: But yeah, so she is she the problem or should
- 23:03Speaker 3: her husband you know, give her another chance.
- 23:05Speaker 1: Basically, she's saying, like a full blown divorce feels unnecessary
- 23:10Speaker 1: because they never met up.
- 23:12Speaker 4: It was all over the phone and YadA, YadA, YadA.
- 23:15Speaker 3: So you had a lot of thoughts on Facebook, Jeremy
- 23:18Speaker 3: trust is gone, Gonzo, Derek, she's the problem, his trust
- 23:22Speaker 3: is gone. A lot of it is just that, you know,
- 23:25Speaker 3: the trust is gone, and so everyone seems to be
- 23:29Speaker 3: siding with her husband. But we do have Amanda who
- 23:34Speaker 3: said something absolutely just so sweet and I think this
- 23:38Speaker 3: would be good for Darla to hear.
- 23:39Speaker 1: Yeah, Amanda had a different kind of thought about it.
- 23:43Speaker 1: She didn't decide if someone was the problem or not.
- 23:46Speaker 1: But I think this advice was pretty good. Amanda said
- 23:49Speaker 1: to our Darla, do your best, to do your best,
- 23:54Speaker 1: be one hundred percent or one thousand percent attentive and present.
- 23:59Speaker 1: Don't argue you just apologize gently and be present for
- 24:03Speaker 1: the grief and anger you'll get. She does also add
- 24:07Speaker 1: because you do deserve it, any parentheses, obviously in a nonviolent.
- 24:12Speaker 2: Way, Yes, non violent. I like that.
- 24:14Speaker 1: She says best wishes you learned your lesson, and he
- 24:17Speaker 1: gives you a second chance. So that was more like
- 24:20Speaker 1: an advice kind of thing, as ap urge to you're right,
- 24:23Speaker 1: he's wrong, he's wrong, You're right, kind of a black
- 24:25Speaker 1: and white scenario, and I thought that was important for
- 24:27Speaker 1: Darla to here today.
- 24:28Speaker 2: Well, we wish Darla the best.
- 24:31Speaker 3: And if you haven't, am I the problem, be it
- 24:33Speaker 3: serious or a little bit on the sailior side, you
- 24:35Speaker 3: can always hit us up Big ninety eight point seven
- 24:38Speaker 3: or Big nine eight seven dot com the on air
- 24:41Speaker 3: tab you can submit your am I the problem?
- 24:46Speaker 1: When I tell you I saw the most deranged thing
- 24:51Speaker 1: I've ever seen in my life. This happened to me yesterday.
- 24:53Speaker 1: I was on twenty fifth Street. I was going over
- 24:55Speaker 1: the ninety four bridge.
- 24:57Speaker 2: We take the same route home. So I what did
- 25:00Speaker 2: you see that I did not see.
- 25:02Speaker 1: And there's this gas station right next to Casey's. And
- 25:06Speaker 1: I remember, well, this might have been two days ago,
- 25:08Speaker 1: because yesterday we were kind of on the way home
- 25:09Speaker 1: at the same time. I'm driving and I'm at this
- 25:13Speaker 1: red light. Okay, I you know, as one does. You're driving,
- 25:16Speaker 1: you're kind of looking around. I look to my right
- 25:21Speaker 1: and I see this woman eating sunflower seeds whole.
- 25:28Speaker 3: Like just eating, not taking them out of the shell.
- 25:34Speaker 1: When you eat sunflower seeds, what do you do? You
- 25:36Speaker 1: throw a couple in your mouth, You crack them open
- 25:38Speaker 1: with your back teeth or whatever. Yeah, you eat the
- 25:40Speaker 1: little whatever, You suck out all the salt, YadA, YadA YadA,
- 25:43Speaker 1: spit them out right right.
- 25:45Speaker 2: This woman was not getting rid of the seeds that she.
- 25:50Speaker 1: Was eating the entire thing, just housing these things.
- 25:57Speaker 4: Isn't that?
- 25:58Speaker 2: Can you die from that? But I thought those are
- 26:01Speaker 2: not edible.
- 26:03Speaker 1: I hope she's alive today.
- 26:07Speaker 2: Wow.
- 26:08Speaker 1: I mean there are quite a few things where I'm like,
- 26:12Speaker 1: that is serial killer behavior, right, sleep with your socks on?
- 26:15Speaker 3: Yeah, oh I'm a serial killing yeah right exactly.
- 26:19Speaker 1: That explains a lot about you eating sunflower seeds whole.
- 26:25Speaker 1: Might be the most shocking thing I've seen.
- 26:27Speaker 3: Yeah, nov here eight months ago. I've literally never seen
- 26:31Speaker 3: anyone do that.
- 26:32Speaker 2: I've contemplated doing it because I think some flower.
- 26:35Speaker 3: Seeds are too difficult. I don't like it. You know
- 26:38Speaker 3: what I like about pistachios. Pistachios they show you a
- 26:42Speaker 3: little something and that, like they're teased, but not too much,
- 26:46Speaker 3: and so then you can easily crack them open. What
- 26:48Speaker 3: I don't like about sunflower seeds is sunflower seeds are prudes.
- 26:52Speaker 2: Okay, they really make you work for it, and I
- 26:54Speaker 2: don't like it. I'm not a fan. This story is
- 27:04Speaker 2: so adorable, all right.
- 27:06Speaker 1: There is a father and his daughter who are going
- 27:09Speaker 1: viral on social media as he has taken a pretty
- 27:15Speaker 1: big interest in something she well, I guess it's her
- 27:19Speaker 1: favorite hobby or something she's very interested in. Jaden is
- 27:24Speaker 1: really into cheerleading. Okay, so Jaden's father has taken all
- 27:30Speaker 1: of the steps to learn how to be the base
- 27:34Speaker 1: or the dude in the stunts who like does the throwing,
- 27:36Speaker 1: in the catching and the y yah na.
- 27:38Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 27:39Speaker 1: He lifts her up literally and figuratively. He flings her
- 27:42Speaker 1: in the air and acts like the base for all
- 27:45Speaker 1: her stunts. They've gotten really really big on social media,
- 27:49Speaker 1: with over seven million followers TikTok. His advice for other
- 27:53Speaker 1: parents is be interested in what your kids are into,
- 27:56Speaker 1: no matter what it is. This dude went so far
- 27:59Speaker 1: as to kind of learn cheerleading.
- 28:02Speaker 2: I guess I love that. I love when you're a parent.
- 28:05Speaker 3: It is so important to take a vested interest in
- 28:09Speaker 3: whatever your kid is interested in.
- 28:11Speaker 2: It means the world.
- 28:12Speaker 1: Yeah, even if you think it's dumb or or silly
- 28:18Speaker 1: or whatever, it means a lot to them, I would.
- 28:20Speaker 2: Assume for sure.
- 28:21Speaker 1: Yeah, the world is full of nice people. If you
- 28:23Speaker 1: can't find one, you gotta be one.
