- 0:07[SPEAKER_00]: Jacksonville Jack Wars fans welcome in to do wall daily presented my gen jack.com.
- 0:10[SPEAKER_00]: I'm Jordan Lugo.
- 0:11[SPEAKER_00]: Thanks so much for being here Monday, November 10th.
- 0:13[SPEAKER_00]: A really, really sour taste in your mouth this morning after the Jag Wars completely collapsed choke fall apart against the Houston Texans.
- 0:25[SPEAKER_00]: They were up 29 to 10 to start the fourth quarter.
- 0:29[SPEAKER_00]: They fell apart.
- 0:30[SPEAKER_00]: They lost the game.
- 0:33[SPEAKER_00]: We talked about kind of the big picture stuff a little bit yesterday, and we'll do more of that moving forward.
- 0:38[SPEAKER_00]: But right now, how did the Jaguars actually lose to the Texan 29 to 10?
- 0:44[SPEAKER_00]: I rewatched every single play that happened multiple times after the Jaguars went up 29 to 10, and now I have a pretty good understanding of exactly what happened.
- 0:56[SPEAKER_00]: So we're going to break that down right here right now, really appreciate y'all tuning in.

- 1:13[SPEAKER_00]: If you are so inclined, so 2910.
- 1:18[SPEAKER_00]: Texans get the ball back.
- 1:19[SPEAKER_00]: Pass rush was actually doing the job pretty well in my opinion on this drive.
- 1:24[SPEAKER_00]: You had multiple plays where you had jack wars winning cleanly one-on-one, and Davis Mills is having to throw the football away.
- 1:32[SPEAKER_00]: You'd like to finish with a sack.
- 1:33[SPEAKER_00]: Trayvon Walker had the opportunity to finish with a sack.
- 1:36[SPEAKER_00]: And anything before 29 to 10 in my opinion?
- 1:40[SPEAKER_00]: Yes, they're a little nits to pick, but it doesn't matter, because you're up 29 to 10
- 1:49[SPEAKER_00]: You had done enough to be up by three scores, entering the fourth quarter.
- 1:58[SPEAKER_00]: None of the issues before that mattered, like it just simply doesn't matter because the team overcame everything at that point.
- 2:05[SPEAKER_00]: Now, again, final drive.
- 2:07[SPEAKER_00]: Past rushes doing a good job when they actually have an opportunity to do so.
- 2:10[SPEAKER_00]: Their fourth and Davis Mills look at the football the way it thimes, every single completion.
- 2:16[SPEAKER_00]: On that drive,
- 2:19[SPEAKER_00]: every single one by Davis Mills.
- 2:22[SPEAKER_00]: Ball out was at the ball was out at the top of his drop.
- 2:27[SPEAKER_00]: Ball was out in 2.25 seconds or less.
- 2:31[SPEAKER_00]: I timed every single one.
- 2:32[SPEAKER_00]: The ball was out in 2.25 seconds or less.
- 2:35[SPEAKER_00]: And a lot of times, under 2 seconds, that's coverage.
- 2:41[SPEAKER_00]: That's coverage.
- 2:44[SPEAKER_00]: That's a quarterback feeling confident then he can throw the ball at the top of his drop and the coverage is not going to do anything about it.
- 2:51[SPEAKER_00]: So that's on the players and on the scheme.
- 2:53[SPEAKER_00]: They were playing off.
- 2:55[SPEAKER_00]: They were playing off coverage on this drive pretty much almost exclusively on all these completions.
- 3:02[SPEAKER_00]: He's like, okay, sure.
- 3:05[SPEAKER_00]: I can take that.
- 3:07[SPEAKER_00]: And then you have nine, and this is kind of a big picture moment, nine yards per carry allowed by the Jaguar's defense after they went up 29 to 10, nine, nine yards per carry.
- 3:23[SPEAKER_00]: The Texans had nine carries for 82 yards in the last 16 minutes of the game.
- 3:34[SPEAKER_00]: That's insane.
- 3:37[SPEAKER_00]: They had as many rushing yards in the last 16 minutes of the game as the Jaguars were allowing per game this season.
- 3:48[SPEAKER_00]: That's literally, I mean, that's pathetic.
- 3:50[SPEAKER_00]: You have a really good run defense in the Jacksonville Jaguars.
- 3:55[SPEAKER_00]: They were allowing like 3.5 yards per carry to opposing running backs entering this game.
- 4:00[SPEAKER_00]: They were doing a good job.
- 4:02[SPEAKER_00]: Last 16 minutes.
- 4:06[SPEAKER_00]: The defense completely took their foot off the gas in my opinion against the run, and on the back end in coverage, you allowed nine yards per carry.
- 4:24[SPEAKER_00]: So Jack's Drive at 29 to 18 after the Texans have scored a touchdown and started the comeback.
- 4:29[SPEAKER_00]: You have a good run by ETN to start.
- 4:36[SPEAKER_00]: a great player and the kneel hunter making a great play against a really bad player and walk a little stuff's the run i don't know what negative five yards negative four yards something like that i want to also
- 4:54[SPEAKER_00]: So it was a great player making a great play.
- 4:57[SPEAKER_00]: So walk a little left tackle, Daniel Hunter, one-on-one, Daniel Hunter right before this nap shifts from just on the outside shoulder, walk a little to the inside shoulder, and he's crashing in.
- 5:12[SPEAKER_00]: And so now in that situation, Walker Little is having to reach block against Daniel Hunter.
- 5:20[SPEAKER_00]: And that is simply not going to happen.
- 5:24[SPEAKER_00]: That is not going to work out for you.
- 5:27[SPEAKER_00]: It's not.
- 5:31[SPEAKER_00]: Stuff's it.
- 5:32[SPEAKER_00]: Then you have 39 again against the best defense and football.
- 5:35[SPEAKER_00]: Let's not forget that.
- 5:36[SPEAKER_00]: This is the best defense in the league.
- 5:40[SPEAKER_00]: Super long developing play on 39.
- 5:41[SPEAKER_00]: No one has opened.
- 5:44[SPEAKER_00]: Zach.
- 5:45[SPEAKER_00]: It's like, okay.
- 5:46[SPEAKER_00]: You know, that was not a good drive by the jacks.
- 5:52[SPEAKER_00]: You're still up 20 and 18, not a big deal, right?
- 5:56[SPEAKER_00]: Then you have a 42 yard punt by Logan Cook.
- 6:01[SPEAKER_00]: And there was no one rushing on that punt.
- 6:04[SPEAKER_00]: It's not like you had to get rid of the ball as quickly as you possibly could, and it just wasn't a very good punt.
- 6:10[SPEAKER_00]: There was no one rushing.
- 6:12[SPEAKER_00]: Logan Cook had all the time in the world to deliver a banger, a 60 yard kick, whatever.
- 6:17[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, this is a guy that has the talent to kick at 70 yards, and he kicks at 42 yards.
- 6:24[SPEAKER_00]: With no pressure, that was horrible.
- 6:30[SPEAKER_00]: That was a horrible punt.
- 6:33[SPEAKER_00]: And the Texans get the ball right at midfield basically.
- 6:37[SPEAKER_00]: Then you have the Texans drive to get to 24, 29, 24, great field position, as I mentioned.
- 6:48[SPEAKER_00]: You have a quick drop on the first play, ball out to Nico Collins splitting the defenders and double coverage.
- 6:55[SPEAKER_00]: Josh Hines Allen was double teamed on that play, by the way.
- 6:58[SPEAKER_00]: But the ball was out in two seconds, under two seconds.
- 7:02[SPEAKER_00]: Okay, well, again, that's a quarterback feeling like the coverage can't do anything to stop me.
- 7:10[SPEAKER_00]: You have some more run plays, right?
- 7:13[SPEAKER_00]: They're getting, I mean, they're super close to the end zone now.
- 7:16[SPEAKER_00]: Again, because of your horrible punt because of getting sacked on third and nine.
- 7:26[SPEAKER_00]: Touched down to Dalton Shultz, Joshua's double teamed again.
- 7:31[SPEAKER_00]: on this one.
- 7:32[SPEAKER_00]: And this was the one past rush rep by the Jaguars in this run that the Texans went on where the Jaguars had a four man rush, the coverage held up for over three seconds.
- 7:49[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, he, David's mills didn't throw it until the four second.
- 7:53[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, he held the ball for a while.
- 7:59[SPEAKER_00]: Joshines Allen's double-teamed, Trayvon Walker, nothing.
- 8:03[SPEAKER_00]: Eric Rarmstead, nothing.
- 8:04[SPEAKER_00]: Don't want smooth, nothing.
- 8:07[SPEAKER_00]: Joshines Allen double-teamed.
- 8:11[SPEAKER_00]: That was the one past rush rep. And I've seen everybody talking about the past rush and even Liam Cohen talking about the past rush.
- 8:18[SPEAKER_00]: If the quarterback can get rid of the ball in 2.25 seconds or less, there is nothing your past rush is gonna do.
- 8:27[SPEAKER_00]: It's about the coverage.
- 8:28[SPEAKER_00]: Now, again, on this play, it was an embarrassing past rush rep, but it's also embarrassing, in my opinion, that buster brown is in coverage of Dalton's salts and did Dalton's salts get away with a push-off a little bit, maybe.
- 8:45[SPEAKER_00]: But buster brown stops and just watches the ball.
- 8:49[SPEAKER_00]: Like, oh, there it goes.
- 8:52[SPEAKER_00]: Why do you stop running with the tight end?
- 8:55[SPEAKER_00]: The tight end's still running.
- 8:57[SPEAKER_00]: towards the offensive right side of the ends up.
- 9:00[SPEAKER_00]: Why did bus to Brown stop running?
- 9:02[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know.
- 9:05[SPEAKER_00]: Two point conversion, the past rush was all over Davis Mills.
- 9:08[SPEAKER_00]: They don't get it.
- 9:09[SPEAKER_00]: And, you know, bus to Brown gets the interception on the two point conversion.
- 9:14[SPEAKER_00]: Good job, Patrick.
- 9:18[SPEAKER_00]: So now, Jacks are up 29, 24.
- 9:20[SPEAKER_00]: They get the ball on their 45.
- 9:22[SPEAKER_00]: Thanks to a great basial toton return.
- 9:26[SPEAKER_00]: Trevor Lawrence picks up three, no one was open, rolls out, picks up three, Travis ETN, really nice play design, only picks up three that they defend it well, but I did like the play design on that one, the kind of motion and misdirection.
- 9:39[SPEAKER_00]: So it's 34, which is a very, very manageable situation.
- 9:45[SPEAKER_00]: Past deflected, have kind of like flood concepts, past deflected and intended for Parker Washington, no one open.
- 9:54[SPEAKER_00]: and Trevor Lawrence had to get rid of it before he really should have on that play.
- 10:00[SPEAKER_00]: Why?
- 10:03[SPEAKER_00]: Little gets absolutely smashed by the Neil Hunter.
- 10:06[SPEAKER_00]: The Neil Hunter has a clean pass rush rep. Trevor gets it out and as he's out, she here tips it at the line because he's spying the quarterback.
- 10:15[SPEAKER_00]: That was a good defensive play call.
- 10:16[SPEAKER_00]: That was Walker Little getting absolutely crushed by the Neil Hunter and not much you can do.
- 10:24[SPEAKER_00]: punt.
- 10:30[SPEAKER_00]: Texans, to take the lead, 30 to 29, what happens on this drive?
- 10:36[SPEAKER_00]: You're doing good on the first couple downs.
- 10:38[SPEAKER_00]: You got them in third and 10 deep in their own territory.
- 10:42[SPEAKER_00]: And credit to Logan Cook, actually a decent punt there to get them there.
- 10:46[SPEAKER_00]: Third and 10 deep in their own territory, Dalton Schultz, schools for a look and freezes
- 10:55[SPEAKER_00]: big time first down.
- 10:59[SPEAKER_00]: Ball was out very quickly.
- 11:02[SPEAKER_00]: And then they're just running all over you.
- 11:04[SPEAKER_00]: As I mentioned, nine yards per carry allowed on the ground.
- 11:09[SPEAKER_00]: They get the ball.
- 11:10[SPEAKER_00]: They're getting the ball closer closer closer.
- 11:12[SPEAKER_00]: They're in scoring range.
- 11:14[SPEAKER_00]: Then you get the horrible horrible call on Jarian Jones.
- 11:18[SPEAKER_00]: I mean horrible call.
- 11:20[SPEAKER_00]: And it is funny because Christian Kirk's run in a slot fade, which is like one of his money routes for the Jaguars.
- 11:26[SPEAKER_00]: That's a route that Trevor Lawrence and Christian Kirk are connected on so many times.
- 11:32[SPEAKER_00]: Horrible call on Jari and Jones.
- 11:34[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, that was just, but you know, it is what it is.
- 11:43[SPEAKER_00]: You shouldn't have been in a position for a bad call like that to change the game.
- 11:48[SPEAKER_00]: Then you get the mills touchdown run here and man coverage.
- 11:50[SPEAKER_00]: The past rush has come and Trayvon Walker is in the pocket.
- 11:53[SPEAKER_00]: He's in the backfield cleanly.
- 11:57[SPEAKER_00]: No one at the second or third level has eyes on the quarter back because you're in man coverage.
- 12:02[SPEAKER_00]: And you know you can't run man coverage.
- 12:06[SPEAKER_00]: This Jaguar's defense cannot cover in man.
- 12:10[SPEAKER_00]: They can't.
- 12:15[SPEAKER_00]: Touchdown.
- 12:21[SPEAKER_00]: Jack's final drive.
- 12:23[SPEAKER_00]: Okay.
- 12:24[SPEAKER_00]: What do we get here?
- 12:30[SPEAKER_00]: Little gets beat in under two seconds by the Neil Hunter.
- 12:34[SPEAKER_00]: On the first play, sack, shocker.
- 12:36[SPEAKER_00]: And by the way, another good return by basaltoon.
- 12:38[SPEAKER_00]: You don't have to get real far to get in Camelittle Ranch to get into Vielgo Ranch.
- 12:43[SPEAKER_00]: Little gets obliterated by the Neil Hunter, sack.
- 12:48[SPEAKER_00]: Lawrence makes up for it with a huge run.
- 12:52[SPEAKER_00]: 20-yard run, first down, you're in position, next play, Trevor Lawrence, roll out to the right side, great throw to Parker Washington, first down, you're in feel-goal range, everything is in front of you, penalty, tune my dug-a-hands to the face, I mean you can't make this
- 13:23[SPEAKER_00]: He overcame a horrible walker little, past pro rep.
- 13:28[SPEAKER_00]: He got the ball to Parker Washington beyond midfield, well into Camelittle range.
- 13:34[SPEAKER_00]: Team failed around him.
- 13:36[SPEAKER_00]: Now it's first in 20 with 7 seconds left.
- 13:39[SPEAKER_00]: You have to get at least 15 yards and get out of bounds, long developing play, no one has opened, even if Trevor Lawrence got rid of the ball cleanly, the boundary is completely protected by Texans players, and there is no time.
- 13:53[SPEAKER_00]: pertence.
- 13:54[SPEAKER_00]: That's game.
- 13:59[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know what Trevor Lawrence was supposed to do in this situation.
- 14:02[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know what Josh Heinz Allen was supposed to do.
- 14:05[SPEAKER_00]: These are the two people I see getting blamed the most for this game, and they both played well.
- 14:13[SPEAKER_00]: Josh Heinz Allen's getting double-teamed, and he's not getting double-teamed, he's winning, and getting into the backfield.
- 14:21[SPEAKER_00]: Trevor Lawrence has a left tackle who cannot do anything, and he's still overcomes that.
- 14:26[SPEAKER_00]: And then you get a chumma dug up penalty.
- 14:31[SPEAKER_00]: So, that's exactly what happened.
- 14:35[SPEAKER_00]: You have absolutely zero coverage, ability.
- 14:40[SPEAKER_00]: I think a lot of that was on the coaching, playing off coverage, playing passive.
- 14:49[SPEAKER_00]: I really do.
- 14:53[SPEAKER_00]: And there weren't blitzing at all down the stretch.
- 14:56[SPEAKER_00]: The Jaguars, there's weren't doing it.
- 15:01[SPEAKER_00]: Against the pass.
- 15:02[SPEAKER_00]: Zero run defense, again, nine yards per carry.
- 15:05[SPEAKER_00]: So your defense completely failed you.
- 15:08[SPEAKER_00]: And then you have Walker little completely failing you.
- 15:11[SPEAKER_00]: Completely.
- 15:14[SPEAKER_00]: And again, I think that there was poor coaching,
- 15:18[SPEAKER_00]: down the stretch because you know Walker little cannot block the kneel hunter one on one and yet you're still asking him to do that.
- 15:26[SPEAKER_00]: You are playing off coverage.
- 15:29[SPEAKER_00]: You aren't blitzing.
- 15:30[SPEAKER_00]: You aren't being creative.
- 15:36[SPEAKER_00]: It's unbelievable.
- 15:37[SPEAKER_00]: It's unbelievable how poorly the Jaguars were coached and how poorly the coverage units were playing on defense late in the game, which again, I do think the calls had a lot to do with that.
- 15:54[SPEAKER_00]: The complete lack of run defense, Walker little not being able to touch Daniel Hunter.
- 16:04[SPEAKER_00]: Look, I don't blame the Jagged Receivers, Trevor Lawrence, four of the five
- 16:31[SPEAKER_00]: You have a complete inability to cover.
- 16:34[SPEAKER_00]: Again, every single pass that Davis Mills completed from this time it was 29 to 10.
- 16:44[SPEAKER_00]: Outside of the touchdown to Dalton Schultz, which we talked about a lot, outside of that one pass, every single pass the ball was out in like two seconds.
- 16:54[SPEAKER_00]: That's coverage.
- 16:56[SPEAKER_00]: So back to the drawing board and a big way.
- 16:59[SPEAKER_00]: Jags lose 29 to 36 to the Houston Texans.
- 17:02[SPEAKER_00]: Really appreciate y'all tuning in.
- 17:03[SPEAKER_00]: If you enjoy the content, please like and subscribe.
- 17:06[SPEAKER_00]: Y'all have a good one.
