- 0:00Speaker 1: Three things you need to know just after six on
- 0:03Speaker 1: this Wednesday morning. Thank you for starting your day with us.
- 0:06Speaker 1: Let's make it a great one. Ricky Sanchez has those
- 0:08Speaker 1: three things.
- 0:09Speaker 2: Jimmy Kimmel has signed a new one year contract extension.
- 0:14Speaker 3: That was crazy.
- 0:15Speaker 4: Uh, I don't know if everybody heard that.
- 0:19Speaker 2: Oh the computer just made a crazy noise in my headphone,
- 0:23Speaker 2: So sorry about that if you heard that over the radio.
- 0:26Speaker 2: ABC agreed to the extension months ago, but Jimmy delayed
- 0:29Speaker 2: the announcement out of respect for late night host Stephen Colbert,
- 0:33Speaker 2: whose CBS show ends in May twenty twenty six, because
- 0:35Speaker 2: this deal means that he will run through not May
- 0:39Speaker 2: twenty twenty six, but May of twenty twenty seven, so
- 0:42Speaker 2: he's extending it. Stephen learned to his cancelation around the
- 0:45Speaker 2: same time that Jimmy renewed with ABC, so he kind
- 0:48Speaker 2: of waited on the news, but he did sign a
- 0:50Speaker 2: one year contract extension.
- 0:52Speaker 3: Nashville Public Libraries Green.
- 0:54Speaker 2: Hills Branch will close for a full renovation beginning Sunday,
- 0:57Speaker 2: January fourth, so keep that in mind. This is the
- 1:00Speaker 2: first renovation in twenty five years, so safe to say
- 1:03Speaker 2: that it needs it needs a little love and care.
- 1:06Speaker 2: The timeline for reopening is still up in the air,
- 1:08Speaker 2: but these new plans call for a children's area in
- 1:11Speaker 2: more meeting.
- 1:12Speaker 3: Spaces, which is really great.
- 1:13Speaker 2: Holds can all be picked up at any other branch
- 1:16Speaker 2: during the closure, so don't worry. If you have any holds,
- 1:19Speaker 2: you can still get them. You can still go to
- 1:21Speaker 2: any other branch while they are renovating. And the powerball
- 1:26Speaker 2: jackpot is getting closer to a billion dollars.
- 1:29Speaker 3: There's no Grandpa as winner.
- 1:30Speaker 2: With the most recent drawing, nine hundred and thirty million
- 1:33Speaker 2: is now on the line for the drawing that I
- 1:36Speaker 2: think is happening tonight is the next drawing. Uh yeah,
- 1:40Speaker 2: look it up. The cash option is four hundred and
- 1:42Speaker 2: twenty nine million dollars. Not to be a debbie downing here,
- 1:45Speaker 2: but the odds of you actually hitting the jackpot are
- 1:48Speaker 2: roughly one in two.
- 1:49Speaker 3: Hundred and ninety two millions.
- 1:51Speaker 1: So there's still a chance.
- 1:52Speaker 3: But you gotta play to win, so might as well try.
- 1:55Speaker 2: I don't even four hundred and twenty nine million dollars
- 1:58Speaker 2: doesn't even compute.
- 1:59Speaker 3: In my brain.
- 2:00Speaker 2: Yesterday we're talking about three hundred thousand dollars and I
- 2:02Speaker 2: don't even know what I would do with that. Four
- 2:04Speaker 2: hundred and twenty nine million is something that like I
- 2:06Speaker 2: can't even comprehend.
- 2:08Speaker 1: Yeah, that's too much. And yes, the next strawng is tonight.
- 2:11Speaker 2: All right, drawings tonight, So go out and buy your
- 2:13Speaker 2: power ball tickets to try and win this jackpot of
- 2:16Speaker 2: four hundred and twenty nine million dollars.
- 2:18Speaker 3: I'm rick Sanchez and those are the three things you
- 2:20Speaker 3: need to know.
- 2:21Speaker 4: Thank you, Ricky.
- 2:21Speaker 1: You have a much better chance of winning something like
- 2:24Speaker 1: a Taylor Swift merch pack or MGK tickets with pick
- 2:27Speaker 1: your Package.
- 2:28Speaker 4: We still have four things under this tree.
- 2:29Speaker 1: Some of them are great. We're planning in about ten
- 2:31Speaker 1: minutes right here on the river.
- 2:34Speaker 5: Pick your package on one the river.
- 2:38Speaker 3: Kevin, how sad are you?
- 2:40Speaker 1: I'm very sad. I'm gonna miss pick your package. I'm
- 2:42Speaker 1: gonna miss ripping paper over here to pretend like we're
- 2:44Speaker 1: opening gifts.
- 2:45Speaker 2: We only have four packages under the tree for pick
- 2:49Speaker 2: your package on one to seven five of the river.
- 2:51Speaker 3: That's all that's left. Right now, we have.
- 2:53Speaker 2: Carly and Jolton on the line. Carly, are you ready
- 2:55Speaker 2: to play?
- 2:56Speaker 6: I am.
- 2:57Speaker 3: I've been waiting all all week okay.
- 3:00Speaker 2: So then you've been listening along. You know that you
- 3:02Speaker 2: got to pick a number one through thirty two. You
- 3:04Speaker 2: know which ones are taken?
- 3:05Speaker 7: Right? Yes?
- 3:06Speaker 5: Man?
- 3:06Speaker 3: Okay good. I was gonna get real nervous because this
- 3:09Speaker 3: is gonna end real fast.
- 3:10Speaker 1: So I want to applaud everybody to play the game,
- 3:12Speaker 1: because I mean, it seems like everybody has been educated
- 3:15Speaker 1: on what numbers are still in play. Like nobody's you know,
- 3:18Speaker 1: guessing a number just off the top of their head.
- 3:19Speaker 1: They're all checking the website and paying attention. So great
- 3:21Speaker 1: job everyone.
- 3:22Speaker 2: Yeah, it's a little bit of homework, but it's worth
- 3:23Speaker 2: it in the end. Carly, what number do you want
- 3:26Speaker 2: to go with?
- 3:28Speaker 3: I think I'll go with number thirty two.
- 3:32Speaker 2: Oh no, that's taken, Carly, No way is it.
- 3:38Speaker 1: Yeah, after I said the thing when everybody.
- 3:41Speaker 2: Doing the homework, no, no, because you already picked a
- 3:48Speaker 2: number that was taken.
- 3:50Speaker 8: I feel like I'm trying to look at the packages.
- 3:52Speaker 9: I'm so upset.
- 3:53Speaker 10: I've been playing all week.
- 3:55Speaker 3: Oh Carly, you're breaking my heart. I hate this.
- 3:58Speaker 10: Let me pick number twenty.
- 4:00Speaker 2: I wish that we could, but we can't because then
- 4:03Speaker 2: we would get in trouble.
- 4:04Speaker 1: Thirty King. By the way, so you got you that bullet.
- 4:08Speaker 10: I wanted it so bad.
- 4:09Speaker 6: Oh, I'm so sorry.
- 4:12Speaker 3: I really really hate this. It happens, it really does.
- 4:16Speaker 2: We appreciate you hanging out with us, though, and for
- 4:19Speaker 2: playing the game.
- 4:20Speaker 3: I'm so sorry. We hope you have a great day though.
- 4:22Speaker 9: That's okay.
- 4:23Speaker 7: At least I got through bus today.
- 4:25Speaker 1: Yeah, thank you that positive attitude.
- 4:27Speaker 7: I hope someone's injksic.
- 4:29Speaker 10: That's what I was here for.
- 4:31Speaker 2: Oh, Carly, okay, yeah, fingers crossed for somebody else.
- 4:33Speaker 3: We're gonna pass on the good juju.
- 4:35Speaker 6: Thank you by love.
- 4:37Speaker 3: I hate that. I hate that so much.
- 4:39Speaker 1: We don't make the rules, but we do have to
- 4:41Speaker 1: follow them.
- 4:42Speaker 2: Cannon Lebanon, all right, you've been playing along, right, you
- 4:45Speaker 2: know which packages are taken.
- 4:47Speaker 3: You got to pick a number one through thirty two.
- 4:49Speaker 3: I do, yes, all right, what number you're going with?
- 4:52Speaker 8: I'm gonna go with sixteen?
- 4:54Speaker 1: Six sixteen you want to open that up, Cary, turn
- 5:00Speaker 1: off your radio now, Carly, don't listen.
- 5:02Speaker 3: Sixteen is MGK tickets.
- 5:05Speaker 7: I'll take them.
- 5:06Speaker 2: Congratulations, Hannah, you got MGK tickets. You're a concert next week.
- 5:11Speaker 2: Thank you for hanging out with us.
- 5:13Speaker 8: Yes, thank you so much.
- 5:14Speaker 1: And just so you know, somebody named Carly called and
- 5:17Speaker 1: guess the wrong number right before you. So really, Carly,
- 5:20Speaker 1: is you know the one to be thanked here?
- 5:22Speaker 3: Yeah, she said that she wanted.
- 5:24Speaker 2: She says she wanted specifically MGK tickets and was passing
- 5:27Speaker 2: on good juju to the next person and you ended
- 5:29Speaker 2: up being the one that got the MGK tickets.
- 5:31Speaker 4: Yes, congratulation, you're I'm.
- 5:35Speaker 3: Gonna put you on a hole for a second.
- 5:36Speaker 2: Okay, okay, wow, crazy how that worked out.
- 5:39Speaker 1: What an emotional round of pick your package I know.
- 5:43Speaker 1: So now we're down to three. We have three things
- 5:45Speaker 1: left under this tree. Be here at nine to twenty
- 5:47Speaker 1: this morning to play the game.
- 5:48Speaker 6: Wake Up Happy with Ricky, Zach and Manno in the morning.
- 5:53Speaker 2: On Kevin Tell everybody where you shop Target, and Ricky thinks,
- 5:58Speaker 2: that's weird.
- 5:59Speaker 1: That's it. Got a sweater at Target?
- 6:01Speaker 2: Where specifically inside Target? Did you find this sweater?
- 6:05Speaker 1: Let me just paint the picture. I was wearing a
- 6:07Speaker 1: sweater yesterday and Rickie said, oh, it's a niceweater and
- 6:09Speaker 1: I said, oh, thanks, I got it from the children's
- 6:11Speaker 1: section at Target. It's an extra large the children's Why
- 6:15Speaker 1: does it matter?
- 6:16Speaker 2: It matters because it's so strange, like that's not I
- 6:21Speaker 2: don't know that I've ever walked into the kids section
- 6:24Speaker 2: of anything, and.
- 6:24Speaker 3: I'm four eleven.
- 6:26Speaker 1: I for sure fit into the the definitely could. I
- 6:29Speaker 1: always glance in the kids section when i'm what a
- 6:32Speaker 1: clothing store because I know that the extra largest will
- 6:35Speaker 1: fit me.
- 6:36Speaker 2: That just doesn't make sense to me, like the fact
- 6:39Speaker 2: that what how did you find that out? At what
- 6:42Speaker 2: point in your life were you like, oh, this extra
- 6:45Speaker 2: large will fit me from the kids section.
- 6:47Speaker 1: I think I've always known it. I mean, I've always
- 6:49Speaker 1: been about this size, so I've always known that. I
- 6:51Speaker 1: mean I'm not out there buying shirts with dinosaurs and
- 6:53Speaker 1: trucks on them or anything.
- 6:54Speaker 2: But you know, I don't know what you wear as
- 6:55Speaker 2: your pajamas to bed.
- 6:57Speaker 4: What it sounds like, I don't know.
- 6:59Speaker 1: I think it's perfectly normal and it's a smart way
- 7:03Speaker 1: to shop.
- 7:04Speaker 2: I think it makes sense in certain situations, right because
- 7:07Speaker 2: I do remember my mom buying me a north face
- 7:10Speaker 2: but getting it from the kids section because it was cheaper,
- 7:12Speaker 2: and I still fit in it.
- 7:14Speaker 4: So I get that, and it is cheaper.
- 7:16Speaker 1: That's another thing. It was the sweater I was wearing. Answer,
- 7:18Speaker 1: it was twenty bucks.
- 7:19Speaker 3: I think any sweater at Target is twenty dollars.
- 7:22Speaker 1: I don't think so. I think that's charge more for the.
- 7:24Speaker 2: Grown ups then okay, I'm sorry, it would be twenty
- 7:26Speaker 2: five dollars.
- 7:27Speaker 3: You're really getting a bargain the year crugal.
- 7:30Speaker 2: I just don't understand the idea of walking through the
- 7:33Speaker 2: kids section and picking things out.
- 7:35Speaker 3: I will say, the sweater was nice.
- 7:36Speaker 1: Thank you, the sweater was nice. Got it in two colors?
- 7:39Speaker 3: I was both you got in two colors? I did
- 7:43Speaker 3: you loved the kid's sweater so much that you bought
- 7:45Speaker 3: it in two colors?
- 7:46Speaker 7: Yeah?
- 7:46Speaker 2: It's nice, affordable, Okay, okay, I just I don't understand.
- 7:51Speaker 1: I stand by it, and I know there's a lot
- 7:52Speaker 1: of people out there that do the same thing.
- 7:54Speaker 3: Is there I'm not sure that there is.
- 7:56Speaker 2: I don't know that a lot of people walk into
- 7:58Speaker 2: a store and they immediately go to the chill section
- 8:00Speaker 2: to see what they could wear.
- 8:01Speaker 1: Reach out and validate me. Tell Ricky that you shop
- 8:03Speaker 1: in the kids section.
- 8:05Speaker 3: Three things you need to Know.
- 8:07Speaker 1: Ricky Sanchez has those three things you need to know
- 8:10Speaker 1: on this Wednesday, morning, What's going on?
- 8:12Speaker 3: Ricky?
- 8:12Speaker 2: WNBA star Asia Wilson is Times Athlete of the Year.
- 8:17Speaker 2: She earned her fourth MVP, Second Finals MVP third Defensive
- 8:22Speaker 2: Player of the Year award and made history as the
- 8:25Speaker 2: first player in the WNBA or NBA to be named
- 8:28Speaker 2: a Finals.
- 8:29Speaker 3: MVP, n League MVP and.
- 8:32Speaker 2: Defensive Player of the Year in the same season. How
- 8:36Speaker 2: insane is that? And I'm not done, Kevin Manhow I'm
- 8:39Speaker 2: not done? The Las Vegas Aces player is also the
- 8:42Speaker 2: only WNBA player to win four MVP trophies before the
- 8:46Speaker 2: age of thirty.
- 8:48Speaker 3: Wow, how amazing is that all of it? Congrats to her.
- 8:51Speaker 3: That is absolutely phenomenal.
- 8:53Speaker 2: It is always amazing to see a female athlete, as
- 8:57Speaker 2: you know, getting all this recognition and Times at of
- 9:00Speaker 2: the Year a big award along with all the other
- 9:02Speaker 2: awards that she got this year.
- 9:04Speaker 3: So congrats to her. That really is so cool to see.
- 9:07Speaker 3: I love it. In and Out.
- 9:09Speaker 2: Burger has announced their opening dates for their Middle Tennessee locations.
- 9:13Speaker 2: Both Antioch and Lebanon locations will open today.
- 9:16Speaker 3: Today's the day.
- 9:18Speaker 2: The Murphy's Borough location is going to open this Friday
- 9:20Speaker 2: on the twelfth. All locations are opened daily from ten
- 9:23Speaker 2: am to one am and until one thirty am on
- 9:26Speaker 2: Friday and Saturday, which one thirty around here am.
- 9:29Speaker 3: That's late for food to be open. So that's great for.
- 9:34Speaker 2: Sure, Oh yes, absolutely, But if you're out and about
- 9:36Speaker 2: and you're hungry, like you can get yourself some In
- 9:39Speaker 2: and Out burger. And speaking of In and Out, they
- 9:42Speaker 2: have dropped sixty seven from their order numbers.
- 9:45Speaker 3: This is just absolutely wild.
- 9:47Speaker 2: Their order numbers now go from sixty six to sixty eight,
- 9:51Speaker 2: all because of the six seven trend that's happening.
- 9:54Speaker 3: A TikTok went viral of an employee telling a teenage
- 9:57Speaker 3: customer the new rule.
- 9:59Speaker 2: People magazine and then later confirmed that this is the
- 10:02Speaker 2: new rule that In.
- 10:03Speaker 3: And Out is doing.
- 10:04Speaker 2: Videos were posted all over social media of just large
- 10:07Speaker 2: crowds of teens going crazy when the order number sixty
- 10:12Speaker 2: seven is announced because of six seven.
- 10:14Speaker 1: I think you were out this day, but we used
- 10:16Speaker 1: one for a daily double.
- 10:17Speaker 4: Tap and zion I was here.
- 10:18Speaker 3: I remember, I remember, And this is the thing.
- 10:20Speaker 2: Kevin was like, you know, it's just so nice to
- 10:22Speaker 2: see so many kids having fun and you know, doing
- 10:24Speaker 2: a silly little trend, and I totally get what you're saying, Kevin,
- 10:27Speaker 2: but as somebody who has worked as a waitress for
- 10:29Speaker 2: many years, if they're all crowding the restaurant for so long,
- 10:34Speaker 2: like you can't function correctly, and that's probably the main
- 10:38Speaker 2: reason why they are now going to skip six seven.
- 10:41Speaker 2: I'm Ricky Sanchez and those are the three things you
- 10:43Speaker 2: need to know.
- 10:44Speaker 1: Makes sense. Thank you.
- 10:45Speaker 3: Ricky.
- 10:46Speaker 1: Zach is out today, but we still have a fact.
- 10:48Speaker 1: Zach's FAC's presented by Moah Kevin Mano right after the
- 10:51Speaker 1: song on the.
- 10:51Speaker 5: River Ricky, Zach and Mannow in the morning.
- 10:56Speaker 2: I'm really excited for this fact because we kind of
- 10:58Speaker 2: tag teamed this one.
- 10:59Speaker 3: We did.
- 11:00Speaker 2: It's Zach'sback's on one O seven five the River, presented
- 11:02Speaker 2: by Kevin Manow.
- 11:03Speaker 1: I had absolutely no idea until Ricky and I did
- 11:06Speaker 1: some research on this this morning. It's a Christmas theme fact.
- 11:09Speaker 1: Jingle Bells was never intended to be a Christmas song.
- 11:13Speaker 1: There's not a single reference to Christmas in the lyrics
- 11:15Speaker 1: of jingle Bells. Apparently was written to be a Thanksgiving song.
- 11:18Speaker 1: It was originally called one Horse, Open Sleigh. The name
- 11:21Speaker 1: later changed to jingle Bells.
- 11:23Speaker 2: Yeah, it's just so crazy to think about because it's
- 11:25Speaker 2: a classic Christmas song. Every Christmas season you hear this
- 11:29Speaker 2: song and to think it has nothing to do with Christmas,
- 11:32Speaker 2: My life.
- 11:33Speaker 3: Is a lie.
- 11:33Speaker 1: Jingle bells, jingle bells, jingle all the way. Oh what
- 11:35Speaker 1: fun it is to ride in a one horse open sleigh.
- 11:37Speaker 1: It's all about just writing in the sleigh and a horse,
- 11:39Speaker 1: and it has nothing to do with Christmas.
- 11:41Speaker 2: Which we obviously correlated to Santa Claus. Yeah, but apparently
- 11:44Speaker 2: it's not about Santa.
- 11:45Speaker 3: Not at all.
- 11:45Speaker 4: Who knew. There's your Factor of the day.
- 11:47Speaker 3: Thanks Kevi.
- 11:48Speaker 6: One oh seven five.
- 11:50Speaker 5: Ricky, Zach and Mennow in the morning.
- 11:52Speaker 1: Ricky has a hot take that she wants to share
- 11:55Speaker 1: here about the Grinch. And Ricky is known around here
- 11:58Speaker 1: as the Grinch, so I'm dying to see what this is.
- 12:01Speaker 2: I'm a little bit biased because I am known as
- 12:03Speaker 2: the Grinch, but this is my hot take. And I
- 12:06Speaker 2: posted this on my Instagram at that chick Ricky the
- 12:09Speaker 2: other day, and I was shocked by the responses that
- 12:11Speaker 2: I got, people agreeing or disagreeing, people agreeing the Grinch
- 12:17Speaker 2: is not the villain in how the Grinch Stole Christmas?
- 12:20Speaker 3: The villain are all of the Who's.
- 12:23Speaker 2: The Whos are the worst I want to say people,
- 12:26Speaker 2: but I guess they're not really people. They're like things.
- 12:28Speaker 2: But they are the worst part of that movie. They're
- 12:31Speaker 2: all terrible.
- 12:32Speaker 4: They love Christmas.
- 12:34Speaker 3: They love Christmas so much.
- 12:35Speaker 2: That they're willing to be so mean to the Grinch
- 12:37Speaker 2: for no reason, just because he looks different than all
- 12:39Speaker 2: of them and he acts different than.
- 12:40Speaker 3: All of them.
- 12:41Speaker 1: They're so mean to him.
- 12:43Speaker 2: The Mayor specifically worst person, the worst two in all
- 12:47Speaker 2: of who vill Is The Mayor the Whos are the actual.
- 12:51Speaker 3: Villains in the Grind. The Grits just wanted to be loved.
- 12:53Speaker 1: The bring guy that's stealing presents from kids is not.
- 12:56Speaker 3: You know, because everybody was so mean to him.
- 12:58Speaker 1: So you're saying they forced him.
- 13:00Speaker 3: They did, They did. They're the real villains.
- 13:02Speaker 1: Six one, five, seven, three, seven, nine, one oh seven.
- 13:06Speaker 1: I need I need to kind of organize my thoughts
- 13:08Speaker 1: here to rebuttal Ricky Grinch just.
- 13:11Speaker 2: Wanted a nice Christmas with Martha May and I do
- 13:13Speaker 2: not blame him for that.
- 13:14Speaker 1: Whether you agree with her or you're on the other
- 13:16Speaker 1: side of this and you think that the Grinch is
- 13:18Speaker 1: in fact the villain because he's the Grinch. My god,
- 13:23Speaker 1: I feel like you're already fired up.
- 13:25Speaker 4: Oh you're real fire away In on Ricky's hot.
- 13:28Speaker 6: Take, Ricky is Zach and Manno in the Morning on.
- 13:34Speaker 2: I just shared a hot take about the Grinch on
- 13:36Speaker 2: one O seven five The River. I don't believe he
- 13:38Speaker 2: was the true villain in How the Grinch Stole Christmas?
- 13:40Speaker 2: I believe all of the Who's and Whoville were the
- 13:43Speaker 2: actual villains, Sydney and Shelbyville.
- 13:46Speaker 3: What do you think about this? Do you agree with me?
- 13:47Speaker 3: Or am I insane?
- 13:49Speaker 10: I agree with you, and I actually think the grinchdent
- 13:51Speaker 10: hate Christmas. The Grinch hated people, which is fair. Yeah,
- 13:56Speaker 10: he hated the mayor and the people who hated him.
- 13:59Speaker 8: He doesn't actually hate ri I'm with you.
- 14:01Speaker 3: I yeah, he was tortured as a kid.
- 14:03Speaker 1: Well, yes he was, but that doesn't give you a
- 14:05Speaker 1: free pass to react with hatred.
- 14:08Speaker 4: That's not improved.
- 14:08Speaker 2: We're not saying that that that that's a good thing.
- 14:11Speaker 2: We're not saying that the way that he handled it
- 14:12Speaker 2: was right. We're just saying he's not the actual villain.
- 14:15Speaker 2: The Who's were bad.
- 14:16Speaker 10: Honestly, he ends up making the whos remember like why
- 14:19Speaker 10: Christmas is about like giving and they can't lost that
- 14:23Speaker 10: vision along the way. So honestly, he's kind of the hero.
- 14:26Speaker 9: Of the story.
- 14:27Speaker 3: Thank you, Sidney.
- 14:28Speaker 1: I mean yes, in the end, it all works out.
- 14:30Speaker 1: Spoiler alert if you're not familiar with the story. But like,
- 14:33Speaker 1: you can't say Cindy lou who is a villain? You
- 14:36Speaker 1: can't just say all the.
- 14:37Speaker 2: Who's Cindy's the one that finds she gets a pass
- 14:40Speaker 2: because I think she's half something else.
- 14:43Speaker 10: She has the childhood innocence. They haven't corrupted her yet.
- 14:47Speaker 1: But Cindy's mom isn't bad either, Like the are you again?
- 14:50Speaker 2: Her parents had no idea that she kept climbing Mount
- 14:52Speaker 2: Krupp Bit. They know that she kept going to see
- 14:55Speaker 2: the bridge and then every time she would disappear. They
- 14:57Speaker 2: were so focused on shopping and making the biggest, most
- 15:00Speaker 2: extravagant light fixtures outside of their home. They never paid
- 15:03Speaker 2: attention to her.
- 15:03Speaker 1: In the movie, I will say we've wandered into a
- 15:06Speaker 1: sticking point here because I think it depends on which
- 15:09Speaker 1: version of the Grinch we're referencing.
- 15:10Speaker 2: We're referencing the Jim Carrey. How then Stole Christmassing.
- 15:13Speaker 1: I'm thinking of the more recent animated one with the
- 15:16Speaker 1: number batch because that's a great movie. Oh oh no,
- 15:18Speaker 1: I'm sorry. I guess I'm the only one.
- 15:20Speaker 3: No, you, Sidney knew what I was talking about.
- 15:22Speaker 10: Jim Carrey version is the only version that we even like.
- 15:25Speaker 5: That.
- 15:25Speaker 3: That's the version, facts facts, all right.
- 15:28Speaker 1: I might disagree with you on that, but thank you
- 15:30Speaker 1: for calling Sydney.
- 15:31Speaker 10: Thank you.
- 15:33Speaker 3: I'm so happy that she agreed.
- 15:34Speaker 1: Yeah, six, one five, seven, three seven nine, one o seven.
- 15:37Speaker 1: I can't be the only one that thinks that he
- 15:40Speaker 1: is the Grinch because he's awful.
- 15:43Speaker 3: He's not. Oh my gosh, I'm I'm gonna let it go.
- 15:46Speaker 3: We're gonna see what somebody.
- 15:47Speaker 9: Else has to say.
- 15:48Speaker 5: One seven five The River, Ricky, Zach and Mennow in
- 15:52Speaker 5: the Morning.
- 15:52Speaker 1: Ricky, you're really struck a nerve here. It's one o
- 15:54Speaker 1: seven five The River. We're getting a lot of calls
- 15:56Speaker 1: about this. Ricky shared her hot take a bit ago
- 15:58Speaker 1: that she believes the Grinch's not the villain, it's the
- 16:02Speaker 1: Who's the Who's Alville for all of the hatred in
- 16:06Speaker 1: the movie. Charlotte and Lebanon. Go ahead, what do you
- 16:08Speaker 1: think who do you agree with?
- 16:09Speaker 7: I want to say that the Grinch isn't the villain. However,
- 16:13Speaker 7: I don't think it's all the who's I think it's
- 16:15Speaker 7: kind of like the Wizard of All situations where everybody
- 16:18Speaker 7: felt was like, oh, he's the bad guy, so we
- 16:21Speaker 7: need to have you know what I mean, And then
- 16:22Speaker 7: he kind of perpetuated into the story and it kind
- 16:25Speaker 7: of like grew over the years until again one little
- 16:28Speaker 7: innocent child believes against all beliefs and said, hey, I
- 16:32Speaker 7: don't know if I agree with you, And then when
- 16:34Speaker 7: she went to go to the story and investigate, she's like, hmm,
- 16:37Speaker 7: maybe I'm kind of right about this. Maybe this has
- 16:39Speaker 7: kind of gotten twisted because if you think about it,
- 16:42Speaker 7: in the Jim Carrey version, the grandmothers loved him and
- 16:46Speaker 7: he was trying to woo her by giving her this
- 16:49Speaker 7: big gift, and the mayor was jealous about it, so
- 16:53Speaker 7: he concocted the story, then became a bully, then all
- 16:56Speaker 7: his friends ging up on him, and then it kind
- 16:58Speaker 7: of like grew over the years.
- 17:00Speaker 1: Thank you for coming to Charlotte's ted.
- 17:04Speaker 3: Connoisseur of the Grinch.
- 17:06Speaker 7: If you think about the Wizard O it's kind of
- 17:08Speaker 7: blown up fun there where they're the wizards said the
- 17:11Speaker 7: story and then.
- 17:12Speaker 1: There are a lot of parallels there, and you're making
- 17:14Speaker 1: a great point, okay.
- 17:15Speaker 2: But the bottom line, though, is that you're saying he's
- 17:17Speaker 2: not the villain.
- 17:18Speaker 7: He's No, he's not.
- 17:19Speaker 2: Okay, So you agree with me on that part. You
- 17:21Speaker 2: just don't agree that the who's are the villains. You
- 17:23Speaker 2: think it's there's more to it than just that.
- 17:26Speaker 7: So that a part I agree with Kevin on because
- 17:28Speaker 7: I don't think everybody, yeah is the villain?
- 17:32Speaker 2: The mayor, Yeah, the mayor's the worst, or every time
- 17:37Speaker 2: his stupid face comes on this the TV, I want
- 17:40Speaker 2: to throw something.
- 17:40Speaker 3: At it there though, I.
- 17:45Speaker 2: Am the resident grinch around here, so I guess it
- 17:47Speaker 2: kind of fits that.
- 17:48Speaker 3: That's how I feel. Charlotte, thank you so much for.
- 17:50Speaker 7: Calling in though you have a great morning. Thank you.
- 17:52Speaker 3: Guys.
- 17:55Speaker 1: Easton is on the line. What do you think about
- 17:57Speaker 1: the grinch?
- 17:57Speaker 9: Easton Brinch is good?
- 18:00Speaker 4: Agree with Ricky, Yeah.
- 18:01Speaker 9: But he's a nice He was a mean guy first
- 18:04Speaker 9: because no one liked him, and he has was it
- 18:06Speaker 9: three or two? Hard? Too small? He always green? Yeah,
- 18:11Speaker 9: he was different, but everybody's different in their own way.
- 18:14Speaker 1: You know what, And now I'm realizing even more parallels
- 18:17Speaker 1: with Wizard of Oz pick because they're green.
- 18:20Speaker 2: Yeah, there is actually a lot of parallel parallels there. Yeah,
- 18:23Speaker 2: but Eastern, You're right, he was getting picked on just
- 18:25Speaker 2: because he was different, and everybody was really mean to him,
- 18:28Speaker 2: which he should not have been mean back. That's not
- 18:31Speaker 2: the way that you're supposed to handle those things. But
- 18:34Speaker 2: he's not the actual villain in the end, right.
- 18:36Speaker 9: No, But and he was a popular god to end,
- 18:39Speaker 9: But even everybody's different in the world.
- 18:41Speaker 1: Yeah, you're so, that's well said, Easton, Thank.
- 18:44Speaker 9: You have a great day.
- 18:45Speaker 1: Easton, Ricky, you kind of sort of did convince me
- 18:48Speaker 1: here you and some of the calls. But do we
- 18:51Speaker 1: think that you're saying this as a grinch yourself? Like,
- 18:53Speaker 1: are you really saying that all you need is to
- 18:55Speaker 1: be loved?
- 18:56Speaker 2: I had a feeling that you were going to try
- 18:58Speaker 2: and psychoanalyze me like that, Kevin, And uh no.
- 19:01Speaker 3: That's not what I'm saying.
- 19:02Speaker 2: I just I feel bad for my fellow grinch. And
- 19:05Speaker 2: I can tell that all you wanted was to be loved.
- 19:07Speaker 3: Just I get plenty of love.
- 19:09Speaker 1: We're playing the game of the Day for Megan Trainer tickets.
- 19:11Speaker 5: Next the River, Ricky, Zach and Manow in the morning,
- 19:16Speaker 5: You're playing a.
- 19:17Speaker 3: Holly Jolly movie quiz on one oh.
- 19:19Speaker 2: Seven five the River for Kevin Mano's Game of the Day.
- 19:21Speaker 2: We got tickets to see Meghan Trainer. Up for grabs.
- 19:25Speaker 2: Today's specific category movie quotes. We have our friend on
- 19:29Speaker 2: the line, Erica and Mount Juliett. How do you feel
- 19:32Speaker 2: about holiday movie quotes? Do you think you're good at
- 19:34Speaker 2: remembering those?
- 19:36Speaker 7: Pretty decent?
- 19:37Speaker 9: I believe, but we're about to see.
- 19:38Speaker 4: Yeah, we're gonna find out.
- 19:39Speaker 1: You got to get two out of three of them, right,
- 19:41Speaker 1: identify the movies based on the quotes. If you can
- 19:43Speaker 1: do two out of three, you get the Meghan Trainer tickets.

- 19:48Speaker 6: I'm ready.
- 19:48Speaker 1: Your Holly Jolly movie quiz starts right now. Quote number
- 19:53Speaker 1: one you'll shoot your eye out kid.
- 19:57Speaker 9: Oh a Christmas story?
- 19:59Speaker 3: Yes, classic.
- 20:02Speaker 4: Quote too.
- 20:03Speaker 1: You get this, you win. I'll be hanging around the
- 20:06Speaker 1: missiletoe hoping to be kissed.
- 20:11Speaker 3: Oh wow, I don't know that one.
- 20:15Speaker 1: That was crazy fast. I have so many of these
- 20:18Speaker 1: over here, and you I guess I'm not using them.
- 20:19Speaker 1: Nice job.
- 20:21Speaker 7: I love it.
- 20:22Speaker 1: Let me see if you guys know this one. You
- 20:23Speaker 1: can both play together. Okay, every time a bell rings
- 20:26Speaker 1: an angel gets its wings.
- 20:28Speaker 3: Oh, it's a wonderful life. It's a wonderful life classic.
- 20:34Speaker 1: You're going to see Megan Trainer. Congratulations.
- 20:37Speaker 9: Thank you so much.
- 20:38Speaker 3: You are so welcome. Hang on the line. I gotta
- 20:40Speaker 3: get some info from you. I really am impressed how
- 20:42Speaker 3: quickly you got that done.
- 20:44Speaker 5: Thank you too.
- 20:45Speaker 1: All right, hold on one second, love, Ricky, This one's
- 20:48Speaker 1: just for you.
- 20:48Speaker 4: The best way to spread Christmas cheer is singing.
- 20:51Speaker 3: Loud for all to hear. You put too much pressure
- 20:57Speaker 3: on me.
- 20:58Speaker 4: You're in the hot seat.
- 20:59Speaker 3: Now is it the gridge?
- 21:02Speaker 1: You're gonna be yourself?
- 21:04Speaker 3: What is it?
- 21:05Speaker 4: Elf?
- 21:05Speaker 2: Oh that's right, ELF's you put me in the hot
- 21:08Speaker 2: seat and I failed.
- 21:10Speaker 1: You're not going to see a mecond Trader.
- 21:12Speaker 4: Three things you need to know Hair.
- 21:14Speaker 1: Past eight o'clock on this Wednesday morning. Thank you for
- 21:17Speaker 1: starting the day with us. Ricky's got those three things.
- 21:19Speaker 2: Paul Star has revealed the top touring artists of the millennium.
- 21:23Speaker 3: Kind of crazy to think we're quarterway through the new millennium.
- 21:27Speaker 2: Wild truly insane, So keep in mind this list of
- 21:30Speaker 2: artists are about the tickets sold, not the revenue that's
- 21:34Speaker 2: based off of those tickets. So Coldplay came at number
- 21:37Speaker 2: one with twenty four point eight million tickets sold at
- 21:41Speaker 2: seven hundred and thirty one concerts since two thousand and one.
- 21:45Speaker 3: You two came in second, then Cheerin at third.
- 21:48Speaker 2: Dave Matthews Band and Taylor Swift around out the top
- 21:51Speaker 2: five seven hundred and thirty one concerts since two thousand
- 21:54Speaker 2: and one.
- 21:54Speaker 1: That's wild, what truly wild?
- 21:57Speaker 3: What an insane touring compilation?
- 21:59Speaker 8: Right?
- 21:59Speaker 2: There's a new Tailor Swift exhibit at the Country.
- 22:03Speaker 3: Music Hall of Fame and Museum.
- 22:05Speaker 2: The display features a wardrobe, pieces and props that were
- 22:08Speaker 2: all connected to the Life of a Showgirl album.
- 22:10Speaker 3: The exhibiting is included.
- 22:12Speaker 2: In general admission through Friday, January ninth, so make sure
- 22:15Speaker 2: you get there soon to check it out before it's done.
- 22:17Speaker 3: You have about a month, so that's plenty of time.
- 22:20Speaker 2: And if you wait till this Friday, you can make
- 22:22Speaker 2: it a full Tailor themed day and you can watch
- 22:25Speaker 2: Taylor's six episode docuseriies The End of An Era on
- 22:28Speaker 2: Disney Plus as well as checking out the exhibit or
- 22:31Speaker 2: maybe you make it like a whole weekend activity something
- 22:33Speaker 2: like that. But yeah, plenty of tailor stuff to get
- 22:35Speaker 2: into this weekend here in Nashville.
- 22:38Speaker 3: And a snack that has not been seen since.
- 22:41Speaker 2: The eighties has gotten a comeback thanks to Stranger Things,
- 22:45Speaker 2: so Nature Valley, they have revived peanut butter boppers.
- 22:49Speaker 3: Do you know what those are?
- 22:50Speaker 5: Ken?
- 22:51Speaker 4: I'm from the eighties.
- 22:52Speaker 3: That's why I said, Kevin, do you know what this is?
- 22:55Speaker 2: It's a limited edition collab with Stranger Things. It's a
- 22:58Speaker 2: nostalgic snack. It comes in an upside down survival kit,
- 23:03Speaker 2: is what they're calling it.
- 23:04Speaker 3: He's got a T shirt, a.
- 23:05Speaker 2: Recipe card, and then obviously the peanut butter boppers. It's
- 23:08Speaker 2: only sold online nineteen eighty seven?
- 23:10Speaker 3: Is it? How much you would pay for it?
- 23:11Speaker 2: On the Nature Valley website, it looks like right now
- 23:14Speaker 2: it's sold out. I don't know if they're going to
- 23:16Speaker 2: be re stalking them, but they do have a DIY
- 23:19Speaker 2: recipe on the website on how you can make your
- 23:21Speaker 2: own peanut butter boppers if you want to at home.
- 23:24Speaker 3: Kevin, did you look it up for me?
- 23:25Speaker 5: Look?
- 23:25Speaker 4: They look delicious. I've never seen this before in my life.
- 23:27Speaker 1: I'm also I'm not caught up on stranger things, so
- 23:29Speaker 1: I don't know it from that, But man, I would
- 23:31Speaker 1: eat these.
- 23:32Speaker 2: Okay, well you can make them yourself or wait to
- 23:35Speaker 2: see if maybe they stalk them again.
- 23:36Speaker 3: I'm Mariquie Sanchez and those are the three things you
- 23:38Speaker 3: need to know.
- 23:39Speaker 6: Ricky is Zach and Manno in the morning on the.
- 23:44Speaker 1: River, stumbled upon like a cleaning hack online. It's one
- 23:48Speaker 1: of seven to five of the river And originally I
- 23:50Speaker 1: thought it was nuts. I ran up by Ricky. She
- 23:52Speaker 1: thought it was nuts. I want to see if anybody
- 23:53Speaker 1: does this, uh, leaf blowing the inside.
- 23:56Speaker 4: Of your house.
- 23:57Speaker 2: I just don't even know what would possibly possess you
- 24:01Speaker 2: to grab your leaf blower and even bring it inside
- 24:03Speaker 2: your home, let alone turn the leaf blower on inside
- 24:07Speaker 2: of your home.
- 24:08Speaker 1: It feels like, yeah, like I wouldn't want the stuff
- 24:10Speaker 1: that's on the ground to end up on the table
- 24:12Speaker 1: and the surfaces. But the more I thought about it,
- 24:14Speaker 1: and the more like I watched videos of people doing this,
- 24:17Speaker 1: I do get why they're doing it.
- 24:19Speaker 3: Okay, so you have some thoughts on this you.
- 24:21Speaker 1: I do think that there's some merit too. It's sixty
- 24:23Speaker 1: one five, seven, three seven, nine, one oh seven.
- 24:26Speaker 3: Do you think there are actually people who do this legitimately?
- 24:29Speaker 1: If you're out there, call us, you can defend it.
- 24:32Speaker 1: And I do have my thoughts as well. Six one five, seven,
- 24:35Speaker 1: three seven nine seventeen reef blow the inside of your house.
- 24:39Speaker 4: It's a weird question.
- 24:40Speaker 1: A weird question.
- 24:41Speaker 8: Let us know.
- 24:42Speaker 1: It's the river.
- 24:43Speaker 6: Ricky, Zach and Menno in the morning on.
- 24:46Speaker 2: The river and then just brought his cleaning hack to
- 24:49Speaker 2: one oh seven five the river. He said that he
- 24:51Speaker 2: sees people on TikTok using a leaf flower inside their home. Yeah,
- 24:55Speaker 2: to try and clean Corney and Smyrna. You've tried this before.
- 24:59Speaker 9: I and let's just say it wasn't a very smart idea.
- 25:03Speaker 4: What happened?
- 25:05Speaker 9: Everything went everywhere?
- 25:08Speaker 3: What process? Like, why did you make a bigger.
- 25:12Speaker 9: Mess than it did? Well? The kids was bringing leaves
- 25:15Speaker 9: in and I was tired of vacuumens and I was like,
- 25:18Speaker 9: let me go grab it, and I did, and it
- 25:20Speaker 9: just everything went everywhere. It made a bigger Messah.
- 25:24Speaker 1: Yeah, that's that's what I'm worried about. See, the more
- 25:26Speaker 1: I see people are using it, like for spring cleaning.
- 25:29Speaker 1: Like they'll get under surfaces, like under the stove, under
- 25:32Speaker 1: the bed just to kind of get stuff out, and
- 25:33Speaker 1: they'll open the door. They'll have a fan pointed out
- 25:35Speaker 1: the door, like you gotta be smarter. B.
- 25:38Speaker 9: My husband has one of the backpack blowers and it's
- 25:42Speaker 9: real high powered and runs on guys. Oh yeah, and
- 25:46Speaker 9: I turned it up really on and it just made
- 25:49Speaker 9: a mess.
- 25:49Speaker 1: I wouldn't recommend doing it with a gas power blower
- 25:52Speaker 1: or a full speech like mine. If you if you
- 25:54Speaker 1: barely squeeze the trigger on my leaf blower, it just
- 25:57Speaker 1: lets out a little bit of air.
- 25:58Speaker 9: Oh no, this one let out a auto.
- 26:01Speaker 2: Courney's PSA is do not try this a in your home,
- 26:04Speaker 2: which is great for everybody to hear.
- 26:07Speaker 1: Okay, I've never done it myself. I just keep seeing
- 26:10Speaker 1: these videos and I'm interested.
- 26:11Speaker 9: Well, if you have like papers and stuff around, I
- 26:14Speaker 9: would not try it.
- 26:16Speaker 3: I think that makes sense. Courtney.
- 26:17Speaker 2: Thank you so much for coming to us as someone
- 26:20Speaker 2: with the experience to say that, because I.
- 26:21Speaker 3: Think it's insane, PROB. And now we know it is insane.
- 26:25Speaker 9: It is.
- 26:26Speaker 3: Thank you for calling in love, have a great day.
- 26:28Speaker 9: Not a problem you too.
- 26:30Speaker 1: Bye God. I would have loved to have seen her
- 26:32Speaker 1: with this giant squirrels.
- 26:37Speaker 2: But that's what I envisioned when you said this, which
- 26:39Speaker 2: is why it sounded like a bad idea.
- 26:41Speaker 1: Yeah, I think you gotta use it for just specific
- 26:43Speaker 1: little tasks, and maybe not.
- 26:45Speaker 3: I think you just use a proom like a normal
- 26:47Speaker 3: human being.
- 26:48Speaker 1: If anyone else has thoughts, six one, five, seven, three, seven, nine.
- 26:53Speaker 5: Ricky Zach and Mannow in the morning.
- 26:55Speaker 2: Leaf flowers inside your home. People are using it as
- 26:58Speaker 2: a cleaning hack. Kevin saw it online, which is pretty wild.
- 27:02Speaker 2: It's one of seven five of the River. Sherry just
- 27:05Speaker 2: called her friend Sherry, and she said that she has
- 27:07Speaker 2: one that's like a smaller version, kind of like a
- 27:10Speaker 2: handheld one, because the big ones she couldn't carry. So
- 27:13Speaker 2: she's wondering if maybe that's a better move. Yeah, to
- 27:15Speaker 2: try inside your house. Yeah, and obviously not as insanely
- 27:19Speaker 2: powered right as the big ones outside. Kelly and White House,
- 27:24Speaker 2: tell us what you think about using a leaf blower
- 27:26Speaker 2: inside your home.
- 27:27Speaker 8: I think it's awesome because you can blow your taxidermy works,
- 27:31Speaker 8: blow it off and then let it settle and then
- 27:33Speaker 8: dust it, and it looks like the most best dustin job.
- 27:37Speaker 1: Ever, okay a lot here. You realize most people don't
- 27:40Speaker 1: have taxidermy work in their houses, right.
- 27:42Speaker 8: Well, my brother in law has a whole bunch of them,
- 27:44Speaker 8: so it's easy for him to do that. And I've
- 27:46Speaker 8: seen him do it. I asked why, and then I
- 27:49Speaker 8: don't question no more.
- 27:50Speaker 10: It works.
- 27:51Speaker 2: Okay, I think if it works, it works, right, Like
- 27:54Speaker 2: if that's something that he knows how to do. I
- 27:57Speaker 2: don't know that everyone should try it for themselves though.
- 27:59Speaker 2: That's why I think it gets a little scary.
- 28:01Speaker 8: You gotta know what you're doing before you do it.
- 28:03Speaker 4: Do you do it or is it?
- 28:04Speaker 1: Are you just recommending it for taxidermy stuff?
- 28:07Speaker 8: No, I mean my brother in law does it. I've
- 28:08Speaker 8: seen him do it one day when he was cleaning,
- 28:10Speaker 8: and it blew my mind because I said, where's all
- 28:12Speaker 8: that dusk gonna go? But I watched and it works.
- 28:15Speaker 4: So where did the dusk go?
- 28:17Speaker 8: The door?
- 28:17Speaker 4: Okay?
- 28:18Speaker 8: It would out the door and then you blow it off,
