- 0:00Speaker 1: What spright to flick with bedo shade. That's a big
- 0:07Speaker 1: one today, Ben huge, huge spider Man, brand new day.
- 0:11Speaker 1: This New Spider Man movie is anticipated to dominate the
- 0:15Speaker 1: box office. They're projecting it will make nearly seven hundred
- 0:19Speaker 1: million dollars on its opening weekend. Wow, like this is
- 0:23Speaker 1: this is tracking for more than a billion dollars. Could
- 0:25Speaker 1: be the biggest film of the year. And that's with Avengers,
- 0:28Speaker 1: Doomsday and all these and Odyssey and all these other movies.
- 0:30Speaker 1: The hype around the New Spider Man movie is off
- 0:33Speaker 1: the hook because everyone loves Tom holland everyone loves Zendaya.
- 0:37Speaker 1: I love them in the same movie together. This is
- 0:39Speaker 1: the first time, as far as I know, in history,
- 0:42Speaker 1: that a married couple has been in two blockbusters in
- 0:44Speaker 1: the same year, because they were both in the Odyssey
- 0:47Speaker 1: and now they're both in this way Spider Man movie.
- 0:49Speaker 1: So the twist here is that he's been forgotten or
- 0:51Speaker 1: something he has well, so just to rewind a little
- 0:53Speaker 1: bit to the last Spider Man movie, No Way Home.
- 0:56Speaker 1: So to save the world and with all this multiverse
- 0:59Speaker 1: stuff happening, he had to, you know, create this situation
- 1:02Speaker 1: where everybody on Earth forgot that Peter Parker ever existed,
- 1:06Speaker 1: and so that means his girlfriend MJ played by Zendeia,
- 1:10Speaker 1: his best mate ned, they forgot him. Everybody he ever
- 1:14Speaker 1: knew has forgotten him. So that's where we pick up
- 1:16Speaker 1: the action in this movie. He's living by himself, he's
- 1:19Speaker 1: doing his Spider Man stuff. He's real Peter Parker. Identity
- 1:23Speaker 1: has basically been lost. He's gone. You know what, no
- 1:25Speaker 1: one remembers who I am. I'm depressed, I'm living on
- 1:28Speaker 1: my own. I'm just gonna throw myself into my job.
- 1:32Speaker 1: And so he's just being a friendly neighborhood Spider Man,
- 1:36Speaker 1: like rounding up criminals on the streets of New York
- 1:38Speaker 1: songs and then all of a sudden he comes across
- 1:42Speaker 1: this mystery adversary that I can't tell you anything about,
- 1:45Speaker 1: Like this is a closely guarded secret that you know,
- 1:49Speaker 1: on pain of death, if I ever revealed it, Marvel
- 1:52Speaker 1: would come after me. It is. All I can tell
- 1:54Speaker 1: you is it's a villain who is able to sort
- 1:57Speaker 1: of jump their consciousness from one per person into the next.
- 2:00Speaker 1: So it's not like you can just beat somebody up
- 2:02Speaker 1: or capture them, because they'll just jump into the next
- 2:05Speaker 1: victim and so they're able to infiltrate anything and thereafter
- 2:09Speaker 1: something in a vault that we don't know what it is.
- 2:12Speaker 1: It's mysterious, but all we know is that, you know,
- 2:15Speaker 1: the fate of the world is at stake. So it's
- 2:17Speaker 1: a classic kind of superhero movie set up. Is my
- 2:20Speaker 1: Man the Punisher in it. He is John Berndal, who,
- 2:24Speaker 1: fun fact, was also in The Odyssey, so it's half
- 2:26Speaker 1: the cast of the Odyssey is is this movie he
- 2:29Speaker 1: plays all it's a small pool of taler out there,
- 2:33Speaker 1: the Punisher and who he teams up with. Punisher. Punisher
- 2:36Speaker 1: is so good. So people are fans of the TV
- 2:38Speaker 1: show with John Berndal. It's such a cracker, and so
- 2:41Speaker 1: it's great to see him on the big screen finally,
- 2:44Speaker 1: and he's actually best mates with Tom Holland in real life,
- 2:47Speaker 1: so you how about that. So and so he has
- 2:51Speaker 1: to deal with he has to deal the Spider Man
- 2:53Speaker 1: has to deal with the Punisher as well, because the
- 2:54Speaker 1: Punisher is brutal, like he doesn't hold back, like he
- 2:57Speaker 1: believes in his own very very violent sort of very
- 3:00Speaker 1: opposite to this spot. Man's a good guy, right, he
- 3:03Speaker 1: doesn't want to hurt anybody. And on top of all
- 3:05Speaker 1: of that, like a spider in real life that goes
- 3:08Speaker 1: through sort of life stages, Spider Man through his trauma
- 3:11Speaker 1: and all this other sort of stuff is going through
- 3:13Speaker 1: some physical changes as well. He's already gone through puberty,
- 3:15Speaker 1: but he's now he's going through spider puberty, which is
- 3:18Speaker 1: a bit different. And instead of instead of instead of
- 3:22Speaker 1: having these you know, sort of mechanical webshooters that I
- 3:24Speaker 1: think Tony Stark may be invented for him, he's now
- 3:27Speaker 1: got organic webs that come out of his body, which
- 3:30Speaker 1: is quite gross. He has to be gross him out
- 3:32Speaker 1: as well. It's coming out literally it has to be
- 3:36Speaker 1: organic now, it has to be organic and environmental. Who's
- 3:40Speaker 1: making his suits? So he makes his own suits. He's
- 3:42Speaker 1: got a sort of a three D printer making his
- 3:44Speaker 1: own suits now because he's the one man man. He's
- 3:47Speaker 1: the one man man. So I hope Tom Holland is
- 3:53Speaker 1: getting a cut of the action out of He's going
- 3:57Speaker 1: to be a very very rich young man. Absolutely. I
- 4:00Speaker 1: think I don't think he was short of a coin
- 4:01Speaker 1: as it was. He's certainly going to be Richard the
- 4:03Speaker 1: biggest movie. It's actually really good movie. Really good, because
- 4:06Speaker 1: I was just going to say, we know it's going
- 4:07Speaker 1: to make a lot of money. I let you go
- 4:09Speaker 1: down some things. I let people down by talking it up,
- 4:11Speaker 1: and then at the end the nads have done so.
- 4:12Speaker 1: But this is fantastic. This is one of the best
- 4:14Speaker 1: Spider Man movies they've made. It's a more grown up
- 4:17Speaker 1: movie than some of the previous ones would That makes
- 4:19Speaker 1: sense because he was a kid. Now he's grown up. Yeah,
- 4:22Speaker 1: I love it. So that's so how many how many
- 4:24Speaker 1: out of five only give it four? Four or five? Money?
- 4:30Speaker 1: Go see it? Met it? Till last week's offering, I
- 4:32Speaker 1: can't even remember what you I think that was a wing,
- 4:34Speaker 1: wasn't it? That was one that was a denk seventy
- 4:37Speaker 1: mil on the first weekend seven seven. We're in the
- 4:42Speaker 1: wrong game. Unbelievable. Catch you next week.
