- 0:04Speaker 1: Welcome into Northside Territory. Foul Territory Networks Cubs podcast. I'm
- 0:09Speaker 1: Sharma with my partner Patrick Mooney, where your Cubs beat
- 0:12Speaker 1: writers over at the Athletic Patrick, what are we ten
- 0:16Speaker 1: days into spring training about?
- 0:18Speaker 2: Or we're getting there? Not not not quite? I guess
- 0:20Speaker 2: a full week a week?
- 0:23Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, yeah, so you it feels like I was
- 0:29Speaker 1: gonna say, Patrick, I feel like you're You're haggard, you're exhausted,
- 0:34Speaker 1: You're already to come home.
- 0:36Speaker 3: You know, you know how spring training is. This is
- 0:39Speaker 3: not complaining.
- 0:40Speaker 4: It's just like such a groundhog day experience that and
- 0:43Speaker 4: like all the years kind of blend together that once
- 0:46Speaker 4: you're back for like two days, just like okay, well
- 0:51Speaker 4: this is just the routine now, and like time kind.
- 0:54Speaker 3: Of ceases to exists in the same forum. You know,
- 1:00Speaker 3: is not like weekends, you no, not.
- 1:06Speaker 4: A whole lot of nighttime activities, and it's just a
- 1:10Speaker 4: lot of you know, not complaining.
- 1:13Speaker 2: Again, but it's just that no complaining.
- 1:16Speaker 3: That pace of spring training.
- 1:17Speaker 4: I would saying with someone at the end of the day,
- 1:21Speaker 4: like it feels like you're there for a month just
- 1:22Speaker 4: because like your your brain is just wired and you
- 1:24Speaker 4: know your muscle memory of doing it, and.
- 1:29Speaker 3: Yeah, after a bregnant it's like, you know, like that
- 1:32Speaker 3: was exciting, that.
- 1:33Speaker 4: Was a big story and then there was a big,
- 1:36Speaker 4: big letdown.
- 1:38Speaker 3: So it's kinda gotta gotta pivot.
- 1:41Speaker 2: Now you now you grind through it.
- 1:42Speaker 1: And we were not allowed to complain, right because especially
- 1:46Speaker 1: you and I because we get to tap in back
- 1:48Speaker 1: and forth. The others have to be there for majority
- 1:52Speaker 1: of the six weeks and uh so we can complain
- 1:56Speaker 1: amongst ourselves, but if we complain to them, we may
- 1:58Speaker 1: get It.
- 1:59Speaker 3: Is a total job. I love doing the job.
- 2:02Speaker 4: It's just that you fall into this like okay, well
- 2:05Speaker 4: I just go hotel, ballpark, you know, yeah, may have
- 2:09Speaker 4: grab dinner, then do work at home, just like rin
- 2:11Speaker 4: rinse repeat.
- 2:12Speaker 3: So it's very agreable.
- 2:14Speaker 4: Ah, work day just you know, very very repetitive getting
- 2:20Speaker 4: into the uh you know, rhythm of the season.
- 2:22Speaker 3: Which is good.
- 2:23Speaker 1: No, no, I get you. I'm I'm I'm looking forward
- 2:26Speaker 1: to it. You missed out on some snow, so I heard, yeah,
- 2:29Speaker 1: it'll be back. It'll it'll still be here. I think
- 2:31Speaker 1: it's going to be pretty cold, so you're here, you'll.
- 2:35Speaker 2: Come back to it.
- 2:36Speaker 1: You're not missing out on all of it, don't think.
- 2:38Speaker 1: All right, So Kyle Tucker met with the media finally,
- 2:44Speaker 1: uh like, I mean it sounds like Bregman and is
- 2:50Speaker 1: this a one year thing?
- 2:52Speaker 2: Are the topics there? Right?
- 2:54Speaker 1: Like you had a little bregmant thoughts and then you know,
- 2:57Speaker 1: trying to win in what feels like a one year
- 3:01Speaker 1: stint with the Cubs.
- 3:03Speaker 4: Yeah, I mean, I think I think Bregman would have
- 3:06Speaker 4: helped optimize Tucker's year in Chicago, no doubt of just
- 3:11Speaker 4: having that presence in the lineup, someone to take some
- 3:14Speaker 4: of the pressure off, someone who he's very close with,
- 3:19Speaker 4: and someone who Tucker called one of the best players
- 3:23Speaker 4: and one of the best people in the game. I think,
- 3:26Speaker 4: like we all spend way too much time on social
- 3:30Speaker 4: media and stuff like that. But I think part of
- 3:32Speaker 4: the rationalization that I saw out there, I was like, Oh, well,
- 3:35Speaker 4: he's not pregnant's not worth the money, He's not gonna
- 3:38Speaker 4: be that you know, he's not that good. It's like, well,
- 3:41Speaker 4: I don't know, the best player on the team thinks
- 3:43Speaker 4: he's that good. The president of the team thinks he's
- 3:46Speaker 4: that good.
- 3:47Speaker 3: You know.
- 3:49Speaker 4: The manager said Oos basically said obviously disappointing. That's why
- 3:52Speaker 4: you go after the player, because you want him on
- 3:54Speaker 4: your team. So when he's not on your team, that
- 3:58Speaker 4: is a let down. So that's what that's one aspect
- 4:03Speaker 4: of it. And also I think it's really hard to
- 4:08Speaker 4: kind of report out the Bregman negotiations and look at
- 4:12Speaker 4: this franchise's track record and look at, you know, project
- 4:17Speaker 4: what Kyle Tucker may get a year after.
- 4:19Speaker 3: Juan Soto as a more well rounded.
- 4:22Speaker 4: Player, though slightly older and not as generational Hall of
- 4:26Speaker 4: Fame ish.
- 4:27Speaker 3: At this point, it's still really really good.
- 4:31Speaker 4: I am not seeing any sort of contract extension coming
- 4:34Speaker 4: out of this. It doesn't mean the Cubs and Tucker
- 4:36Speaker 4: can't reassess at the end of the year, but I
- 4:38Speaker 4: think the odds of them coming together on a long
- 4:43Speaker 4: term contract extension and spring training during the season is
- 4:47Speaker 4: very close to zero.
- 4:49Speaker 1: Yeah, I mean I and that's not changing much what
- 4:53Speaker 1: we've said yea, they traded.
- 4:55Speaker 3: It's more confirmation than like a.
- 4:57Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah exactly, which you know, people, I think there
- 5:03Speaker 1: is this sentiment that, well, they didn't spend on Bregman,
- 5:06Speaker 1: they're saving for Tucker. I would not think in that
- 5:11Speaker 1: fashion like that is not what's happened. They want and
- 5:16Speaker 1: they and yes, exactly, it's just not like, don't look
- 5:19Speaker 1: at it.
- 5:19Speaker 2: It's like, well, they're saving up for Kyle Tucker.
- 5:22Speaker 1: Like there's going to be a bidding war for Kyle Tucker,
- 5:24Speaker 1: assuming he's healthy, assuming he continues to perform like he's performed,
- 5:29Speaker 1: there will be a bidding war for him. And the
- 5:32Speaker 1: Cubs are not set up to win bidding wars. They
- 5:35Speaker 1: couldn't even win a mini bidding war from Alex Bregman.
- 5:38Speaker 1: It wasn't a real bidding war. They didn't even enter
- 5:41Speaker 1: the Jan Soda bidding war because and it's not because
- 5:44Speaker 1: Jed Hoyer doesn't think Jan Soda is a good player.
- 5:47Speaker 1: They understand what type of budget they're working with, so
- 5:51Speaker 1: like they like unless something changes with the way they spent,
- 5:55Speaker 1: like the with the budget, Like I like, how are
- 5:58Speaker 1: they gonna win this bidding war? I think, like I
- 6:01Speaker 1: don't want to like rain on the parade before the
- 6:04Speaker 1: season starts, but this looks more and more like this
- 6:09Speaker 1: is not okay. They're saving up the war. They're building
- 6:13Speaker 1: the war chest and and they're gonna spend dump it
- 6:15Speaker 1: in in Kyle Tuck Tucker's lap. That doesn't seem to
- 6:19Speaker 1: be what's happening. Uh, you know, things can change. I
- 6:24Speaker 1: like they can you know, if they have a good season, Uh,
- 6:29Speaker 1: they can adjust and and maybe uh maybe the budget.
- 6:33Speaker 2: Increases or or whatever.
- 6:36Speaker 1: You know, this isn't locked up locked in right now,
- 6:40Speaker 1: that he's not extending, or that he's not going to
- 6:42Speaker 1: come back to the Cubs as a free agent. I
- 6:45Speaker 1: just don't see a realistics here in scenario where they're
- 6:48Speaker 1: in a bidding war. Uh, Kyle Tucker is I don't
- 6:52Speaker 1: know who's a free agent after this season, but on
- 6:58Speaker 1: the open market unless I'm missing some one. And if
- 7:02Speaker 1: if I'm right on that, like he's going to be
- 7:03Speaker 1: highly sought after. One obvious team that tried to trade
- 7:07Speaker 1: for him are the New York Yankees. If they may,
- 7:09Speaker 1: it would probably make sense for them to go after him, right,
- 7:12Speaker 1: a lefty at that park, Uh, they they need a
- 7:18Speaker 1: they'll still need an outfielder. In all likelihood, my guess
- 7:21Speaker 1: is they're going to go after Kyle Tucker. And and like,
- 7:26Speaker 1: I just don't think the Cubs are set up to
- 7:29Speaker 1: to win that. And it's it's frustrating to think in
- 7:33Speaker 1: that manner when we're six months away from free agency.
- 7:36Speaker 1: More than that, when when we're still in spring training.
- 7:39Speaker 1: And this is uh, you know the reality of their
- 7:42Speaker 1: financial situation. When I say that, and it's not like
- 7:45Speaker 1: they don't have the money. We need to emphasize that
- 7:47Speaker 1: they have the money. They're not acting like a team
- 7:51Speaker 1: that can you know, swing it around and and uh,
- 7:55Speaker 1: you know, kind of throw the hammer down financially.
- 7:58Speaker 5: How's that New Year's resolution for you? The fad diets
- 8:01Speaker 5: or the BS resolutions are so out. How about just

- 8:58Speaker 4: You know, we're not gonna linger on this like every
- 9:02Speaker 4: single day of Kyle Tucker's cub's tenure. But the Bragmant
- 9:07Speaker 4: thing was not only revealing, it was a guy who's
- 9:11Speaker 4: super tight with Tucker Tucker shows up, you know, if
- 9:15Speaker 4: Fragmant's signed elsewhere, you know, on January twelfth, Like sure,
- 9:22Speaker 4: maybe it would have come up at CUPS convention, I guess.
- 9:24Speaker 3: At that point.
- 9:25Speaker 4: But it's not like this is going to be the
- 9:28Speaker 4: thing about Kyle Tucker the whole time. It's more like,
- 9:31Speaker 4: let's get this out of the way now so that
- 9:34Speaker 4: everyone's expectations are in the right place of like CUPS SYNC,
- 9:41Speaker 4: he's going to have him awesome year. Kyle Tucker has
- 9:45Speaker 4: had awesome years throughout his major league career. If he
- 9:51Speaker 4: has an awesome year, their playoff odds go through the roof.
- 9:57Speaker 4: And so that's just it's kind of a one year
- 9:59Speaker 4: arrange and then see what happens, and that's fine. I
- 10:04Speaker 4: think this is someone who seems pretty unbothered by a
- 10:08Speaker 4: lot of it. He's not a not allowed talker, Council says,
- 10:12Speaker 4: he's very like simple routine. He's been, you know, a
- 10:18Speaker 4: top of the draft type of talent guy who got
- 10:21Speaker 4: to the big leagues very quickly. I think he's been
- 10:24Speaker 4: in the last five alcs's and three of the last
- 10:29Speaker 4: five World Series if I look that up.
- 10:32Speaker 1: He missed last let well not this past as right,
- 10:36Speaker 1: they missed the ALCS.
- 10:37Speaker 2: They they're streaking it this year.
- 10:40Speaker 3: That's right, So buddy ad bitch to I think five
- 10:42Speaker 3: of them?
- 10:42Speaker 4: What mean yeah, yeah, right right, which is.
- 10:46Speaker 3: Kind of staggering, you know what I mean?
- 10:47Speaker 4: Like it was just like this guy's got a lot,
- 10:50Speaker 4: a lot of experience and he was not like loong
- 10:53Speaker 4: for the ride like he was, you know, a driving force.
- 10:55Speaker 3: It'll be different. You made this point, I think basically
- 10:58Speaker 3: at the.
- 10:59Speaker 4: Winter meetings, as these rumors were circulating, like he's not
- 11:05Speaker 4: gonna have the same supporting cast as he did in Houston,
- 11:08Speaker 4: and I think that'll be different, but not necessarily prohibitive
- 11:14Speaker 4: to what he wants to accomplish this year and what
- 11:16Speaker 4: the Cubs want to accomplish this year. And I mean,
- 11:18Speaker 4: Kyle Tucker flat out was talking about winning the World
- 11:22Speaker 4: Series this year, and I think he has a lot
- 11:24Speaker 4: more credibility than most when he brings that up. He's
- 11:29Speaker 4: someone who's to help him get towards that path.
- 11:33Speaker 1: Right right before we move on. I think it is important.
- 11:36Speaker 1: I don't want to be all negative and just like
- 11:38Speaker 1: act like I mean, adding Kyle Tucker is a huge addition.
- 11:43Speaker 1: I want to re emphasize that. And like, this team
- 11:47Speaker 1: is a good team for twenty twenty five, that built
- 11:49Speaker 1: a really strong team.
- 11:51Speaker 2: I like this team. Are they World Series favorites? Obviously not?
- 11:55Speaker 1: When the Dodgers exist the way they do what they've built,
- 11:58Speaker 1: like they're going to just be the favorite for a while,
- 12:00Speaker 1: it feels like. But I like, weird things happen in
- 12:03Speaker 1: the playoffs, and and the Cubs are good enough to
- 12:05Speaker 1: get to the playoffs, and they have a team that
- 12:08Speaker 1: can make some noise, Like there's no doubt about it.
- 12:11Speaker 1: I would not I'm not going to pick them to
- 12:13Speaker 1: win the World Series entering the season. I likely will
- 12:18Speaker 1: pick them to make the playoffs, and and I think
- 12:20Speaker 1: they could make some noise. And they have a superstar
- 12:22Speaker 1: on offense, and they have a strong rotation, and they
- 12:25Speaker 1: have young players. When you have young talent, that's that's
- 12:29Speaker 1: always intriguing to me as well. Right, And one of
- 12:31Speaker 1: those players, we're going to be talking about him a
- 12:33Speaker 1: ton all season long, has inside track at third base.
- 12:37Speaker 1: I mean, Matt Shaw is apparently taking advice from Ryan Samberg.
- 12:41Speaker 2: You were there, You've been there. What's the what's the
- 12:45Speaker 2: story there?
- 12:45Speaker 1: What's uh Rhino obviously a Hall of Famer come into
- 12:50Speaker 1: spring training.
- 12:51Speaker 2: I mean, there's some gravitas there.
- 12:53Speaker 1: There's something to be said when when you have players
- 12:56Speaker 1: like that, former players like that that can come around
- 12:59Speaker 1: spring training and and you know, get getting these guys here.
- 13:03Speaker 4: Yeah, it's one of those kind of you know, weekend
- 13:08Speaker 4: snapshot at spring training is not exactly what I was
- 13:11Speaker 4: planning to Red just kind of popped up, you know,
- 13:14Speaker 4: people were asking about it, I guess, And there are
- 13:18Speaker 4: just lots of elements within this. I think I filed
- 13:20Speaker 4: like a six turndred words story, but there was like
- 13:23Speaker 4: six or seven ideas I tried to kind of cram together.
- 13:26Speaker 4: I guess start with the top of Ryan Sandberg looks great,
- 13:30Speaker 4: sounds great. Our buddy Jesse Rogers and I were in
- 13:34Speaker 4: the middle of the Cups clubhouse and kind of Rhino
- 13:38Speaker 4: tap me on the shoulders that I had to Jesse,
- 13:40Speaker 4: and all of a sudden we're talking to him and
- 13:43Speaker 4: the kind of media access time is sort of wrapping up.
- 13:45Speaker 4: But when Rhino's in the middle of the room talking,
- 13:48Speaker 4: you just you can't be like, you know, just walk away.
- 13:51Speaker 4: And so he was in great spirits and just the
- 13:54Speaker 4: day before, Craig Counsel had said, like, look, whenever a
- 13:57Speaker 4: Hall of Famer shows up, walks into the room, he
- 13:59Speaker 4: brings impact. And we're thrilled to have Rhino here, particularly
- 14:03Speaker 4: after his battle of cancer last.
- 14:05Speaker 3: Year, the relapse that he announced in December.
- 14:10Speaker 4: He's back in Mesa and he came across Matt Shaw,
- 14:17Speaker 4: and Shaw said that Samberg said, Hey, you know, I
- 14:22Speaker 4: went through a similar thing earlier in my Cup's career.
- 14:25Speaker 4: And you know, Sandberg's advice or kind of outlook is
- 14:30Speaker 4: very simple, like just keep doing what you're doing, like
- 14:34Speaker 4: whatever got you to this point, just stay consistent to that.
- 14:38Speaker 4: And I did not realize this, but he was actually
- 14:42Speaker 4: an opening day third baseman for the Cubs in nineteen
- 14:44Speaker 4: eighty two that he came up mostly as a shortstop
- 14:48Speaker 4: with the Phillies. You know, was just hoping to like
- 14:52Speaker 4: mega major league roster. And you know, at that time,
- 14:56Speaker 4: teams had Coorse for like almost a decade, right, I
- 14:59Speaker 4: had every day yea for years and years and year.
- 15:01Speaker 4: He wanted to break in kind of as a utility guy.
- 15:05Speaker 4: No one was thinking like statue outside the stadium at
- 15:08Speaker 4: that point.
- 15:08Speaker 3: And I believe his.
- 15:09Speaker 4: First nine games he was like one for thirty and
- 15:12Speaker 4: got a call the office with Dallas Screen and le Ilia.
- 15:16Speaker 3: And he's like, am I getting sent down?
- 15:17Speaker 4: And the game him a vote of confidence, and you know,
- 15:22Speaker 4: shortly thereafter, you know, had like a nice game in Pittsburgh,
- 15:26Speaker 4: got a couple of hits, and you know, sort of
- 15:29Speaker 4: the rest is history. Again, not saying that Matt Shaw
- 15:33Speaker 4: is on some paths towards Cooper's town, but counsel noticed
- 15:37Speaker 4: and stuff like that of like, okay, who's paying attention,
- 15:40Speaker 4: who kind of recognizes the opportunity, who who's listening? And
- 15:47Speaker 4: then just to kind of wrap it up, Shaw obviously
- 15:51Speaker 4: had been following the Bregman sweepstakes. He knows he has
- 15:54Speaker 4: this opportunity in front of him, still dealing with some
- 15:58Speaker 4: oblique tightness.
- 16:01Speaker 3: The plan is on.
- 16:03Speaker 4: Monday, hopefully he's clear to do kind of light hitting
- 16:08Speaker 4: and throwing maybe at like seventy percent, and that you know,
- 16:13Speaker 4: probably not gonna be ready for the start of Cactasy games.
- 16:15Speaker 3: They don't see the need to push it.
- 16:17Speaker 4: But y'all is like, look after everything that's going on,
- 16:19Speaker 4: maybe it makes sense just kinda take a deep breath here.
- 16:22Speaker 4: Don't need to go all out to like, you know,
- 16:25Speaker 4: be in that first spring game. They're moving him a
- 16:30Speaker 4: little slowly, but yeah, I mean, all indications are he's
- 16:34Speaker 4: he has the inside track and it would take something
- 16:39Speaker 4: kind of going wrong or something unforeseen to force.
- 16:45Speaker 3: Him out of that spot. That's like the very strong
- 16:48Speaker 3: sense in MESA.
- 16:50Speaker 1: Yeah, well, when you talk about like council notices these things,
- 16:56Speaker 1: we've been hearing that since he was drafted, right like
- 16:58Speaker 1: pretty much since he got in the orgization. Like this
- 17:00Speaker 1: is a guy that stands out gets a lot of
- 17:03Speaker 1: Nico Horner comparisons as far as work ethic, how he
- 17:06Speaker 1: goes about business, you know, whatever. The baseball equivalent to
- 17:10Speaker 1: a gym rat is that's Matt Shaw and you love
- 17:12Speaker 1: to see that, you love to hear that obviously has
- 17:15Speaker 1: to deliver on the field. Not the same type of
- 17:17Speaker 1: player as Nico Horner, so we do that comparison a
- 17:21Speaker 1: lot just because he gets those off the field comparisons. Yeah,
- 17:25Speaker 1: and he makes a ton of contact like Nico, but
- 17:27Speaker 1: he's got more power and obviously different defensively. But I'm
- 17:31Speaker 1: fascinated to see how he does and how he grows,
- 17:33Speaker 1: because you know, he's one of those guys that they've
- 17:36Speaker 1: drafted and immediately were like, oh, this guy probably should
- 17:40Speaker 1: have been drafted a little higher than he was. Really
- 17:43Speaker 1: deep draft strong drafts, so it makes sense why he
- 17:45Speaker 1: was drafted where he was. But yeah, excited to see
- 17:49Speaker 1: what he can be, what he can turn into. Just
- 17:53Speaker 1: one of many young talents, but probably the one that
- 17:56Speaker 1: as far as the guys that haven't debuted yet, that's
- 17:59Speaker 1: gonna you know, how it projects to have the biggest impact,
- 18:03Speaker 1: especially early on.
- 18:05Speaker 2: On this with this team.
- 18:07Speaker 1: As far as adding veterans, uh, there's no Bregmann move
- 18:11Speaker 1: coming or anything similar, right, We've talked about Dylan Seese.
- 18:14Speaker 2: That's not going to happen. They're not trading for Dylan sees.
- 18:17Speaker 1: It's just you know, Adrian Peller wants the world for
- 18:20Speaker 1: him if he's going to move him, and he's likely to.
- 18:22Speaker 3: I don't know if anyone's trading for him right.
- 18:24Speaker 1: Right right, it would be a shocker. But that doesn't
- 18:29Speaker 1: mean they're done right. There are moves to be made,
- 18:31Speaker 1: and it mostly seems like building out the bench, maybe
- 18:36Speaker 1: some of the final pieces here.
- 18:38Speaker 4: Yeah, I would say just to circle quickly back to Shaw,
- 18:42Speaker 4: like that's the guy that teams would want right like
- 18:46Speaker 4: he is. That's how that's how he's viewed within the industry,
- 18:50Speaker 4: Like no one knows how good he's gonna be or not,
- 18:51Speaker 4: but he's viewed as very close.
- 18:53Speaker 3: To major league ready, a guy that you can.
- 18:55Speaker 4: Essentially like plug in for for six years and stuff
- 19:00Speaker 4: years at a very.
- 19:02Speaker 3: Low cost.
- 19:03Speaker 4: But that's what the Cubs need right now. I was
- 19:07Speaker 4: told they're looking at a lot of different names. There's
- 19:09Speaker 4: no name as compelling as Alex Bregman, but still still
- 19:16Speaker 4: hearing Justin Turner as someone they're looking pretty hard at.
- 19:21Speaker 3: I don't know kind of where they're going to land
- 19:26Speaker 3: on that, but that hasn't like gone away.
- 19:30Speaker 4: I've gotten kind of mixed signals on Jose Iglesias as
- 19:35Speaker 4: someone who would bring a ton of defense, kind of
- 19:38Speaker 4: some energy, maybe a little quirky personality, but does not
- 19:43Speaker 4: have that offensive profile that the IVY system is going
- 19:48Speaker 4: to love. I guess they're never never stop looking for pitching.
- 19:53Speaker 4: I think we've heard that David Robson's sort of sounds
- 19:58Speaker 4: out of there range, though Council had not ruled out
- 20:02Speaker 4: the idea of signing a veteran reliever to a major
- 20:07Speaker 4: league deal. You know, there's some money set aside still
- 20:13Speaker 4: for sprint training in season. I would say after that,
- 20:20Speaker 4: it's probably gonna have to go to the board and
- 20:23Speaker 4: see what the Ricketts family thinks. And I think we'll
- 20:27Speaker 4: be getting into this pretty soon. We'll have a mail
- 20:29Speaker 4: bag episode. We had got a lot of good questions
- 20:31Speaker 4: on that when we consulted on the old Twitter machine,
- 20:36Speaker 4: and I like some of the thoughts that people are having, like, Okay,
- 20:40Speaker 4: what's next, what's next?
- 20:41Speaker 3: What's next?
- 20:43Speaker 4: I think we'll see a little activity, you know, in February,
- 20:47Speaker 4: some smaller additions to round out the team, and then
- 20:51Speaker 4: it's just going to set up for just an enormous
- 20:54Speaker 4: trade deadline for this team.
- 20:57Speaker 1: Yeah, especially if they if they keep to powder dry
- 21:01Speaker 1: as far as staying below the you know, artificial limit
- 21:05Speaker 1: that they've set for themselves.
- 21:07Speaker 2: So if that's the case, yeah, I expect it.
- 21:10Speaker 1: As long as they're in it, there's gonna be some
- 21:13Speaker 1: potential for some solid moves, right, some the types of
- 21:16Speaker 1: moves that fans probably would like to have seen more
- 21:18Speaker 1: of at this point, but perhaps we'll see that in July.
- 21:23Speaker 1: We'll I'll hold off on digging in on some of
- 21:26Speaker 1: these names because we did get some good mailbag questions,
- 21:29Speaker 1: so we'll save that for that episode later this week.
- 21:32Speaker 1: So we'll wrap this one up here. Thanks so much
