- 0:00Leviticus Chapter 7. Let us pray.
- 0:04Our Father who's in heaven, we thank you God for another day.
- 0:08We thank you, God, for waking us up and putting us on our feet.
- 0:12Thank you God, for clean drinking water and food to eat.
- 0:15Thank you, God, that you have kept us throughout our lives and
- 0:19helped us, Lord, to see you, to see you rightly high and lifted
- 0:24up above our houses, above our families, above our workplaces.
- 0:28God, we give ourselves completely and utterly and
- 0:32totally over unto you. Lord, I pray that you'll break
- 0:36up the fallow ground. God, I pray that we'll produce a
- 0:39crop, produce fruit. God, I pray that we'll be out in
- 0:43the harvest. Lord will be your hands and
- 0:45feet. Father, I pray, Lord, against
- 0:47the schemes of the enemy. Lord, I pray you'll bind the
- 0:51enemy. God, in the name of Jesus
- 0:53Christ, I pray that we will decrease as you increase, as we
- 0:57hide your word in our hearts. God, I pray that we will not sin
- 1:01against you. Help us not to succumb to pride
- 1:04and vanity, God, and hubris. Father, I pray that you'll help
- 1:08us, Lord, to walk in the light as you are in the light as we
- 1:11get connected to the vine. Lord, help us.
- 1:14Lord, we need you desperately to help us to love you more, to
- 1:19seek you more, to be completely grounded and rooted in your
- 1:24word. Father, I pray for contentment.
- 1:26Lord, I pray for godliness. Father, I pray for those, those
- 1:30on the front lines, for all the missionaries.
- 1:32Lord, I pray for the ecclesia, the called out ones, those that
- 1:36are in the world. Lord, help us to be the ones
- 1:39that are making the difference. Lord, I pray that we will not
- 1:42shrink back. Lord, I pray that we'll charge
- 1:45the hill. Lord, I pray that we will take
- 1:49the whole word to the whole world.
- 1:51Father, regardless of how uncomfortable it is, Lord, you
- 1:55are worthy all of our attention and adoration and affection,
- 2:00Father, and so we give it to you, Lord, willingly.
- 2:05Or we laid down our own lives. We laid down the way that we
- 2:09think that this life should go. And God, we pursue you.
- 2:13Thank you for saving us to the utmost.
- 2:16It's in Jesus Christ, holy and precious and powerful name that
- 2:20I pray. Amen.
- 2:23Well, let's start in verse one. Likewise, this is the law of the
- 2:30trespass offering. It is most holy.
- 2:33So here we go again. He's going to wrap it all up
- 2:36here, friends. Moses has been on Mount Sinai
- 2:39for quite some time. He's been receiving all of the
- 2:43mandates from God. And then here, this is not only
- 2:47receiving it, but they have actually put it into practice
- 2:50and they've actually built the Tabernacle.
- 2:52They've actually put together all of the articles that God
- 2:56prescribed for them to do. And here it's all culminating.
- 3:00And we're going to see that God wants them to approach Him on
- 3:05His terms, not to just be autonomous and come up with
- 3:08their own ways of connecting with the God of heaven, the God
- 3:12who created everything, the only one who is uncreated, old
- 3:15Hashem. We need to know that we know
- 3:18that we know that we know that it is the God of Abraham and
- 3:21Isaac and Jacob that we serve. It's not the God that we've
- 3:24made-up in our own minds, friends.
- 3:27It's not the God of our own understanding, friends.
- 3:30It is God. I don't know.
- 3:31It is God, Elian. It is God of the Jews, God of
- 3:35Israel. It is the God of Abraham who
- 3:39called the Syrian man and formed an entire nation out of nothing.
- 3:43He didn't even have a child. He was childless, friends, and
- 3:47God created over 2 million souls to go wander in the desert
- 3:52towards the land flowing with milk and honey.
- 3:56And here we find them in the middle of the wilderness.
- 3:59They've already walked across on dry land.
- 4:01God's already split the Red Sea. And here we are, friends.
- 4:05They've created this masterpiece, friends, interwoven
- 4:10with gold. It is overlaid with gold.
- 4:13I hope that you've been keeping up.
- 4:15I hope that you've been keeping along with us.
- 4:17I hope that you've been actually locked in and tuned in.
- 4:21I hope that each and every chapter has become increasingly
- 4:25more and more exciting as we get to see this masterpiece unfold,
- 4:30all pointing towards Yeshua, Hamasiyah, Jesus Christ of
- 4:35Nazareth. Every single detail is outlined
- 4:38with types and shadows of what is to come, friends.
- 4:42And do you not know that you are the Temple of God?
- 4:46And do you you not know that you will judge the angels, friends?
- 4:50And you need to understand that He is making us into a royal
- 4:54priesthood, friends, and we will rule and reign with Him for 1000
- 4:58years and for all of eternity. We'll be there with him and Him
- 5:02with us. And the least in the Kingdom of
- 5:05God is greater than any who were born of woman.
- 5:08And the prophets of old long to see this day.
- 5:11What an amazing time that we live in, friends.
- 5:14What an amazing book that you hold in your hands and you don't
- 5:18read it and you don't discern it.
- 5:19It is reading you and it is discerning you and it is
- 5:23changing you from the inside out.
- 5:25And I pray that you can see Christ on every single syllable,
- 5:29every single drop, every single jot and title.
- 5:33Friends, it's Christ and it is Christ alone.
- 5:35Everything points towards Him. Verse 2 in the place where they
- 5:41kill the burnt offering, shall they kill the trespass offering
- 5:45and the blood of it shall He sprinkle round and about upon
- 5:49the altar? It is Christ Jesus.
- 5:51I hope you never get tired of hearing me say that.
- 5:55It is Christ and he is the sacrifice.
- 5:58He's the all sufficient sacrifice.
- 6:00His blood was poured out for you and for me, for the
- 6:03purification, for us to be holy and set apart.
- 6:07And it is nothing that we have ever done.
- 6:09And it is everything that He did.
- 6:11And this is pointing towards Him.
- 6:13He is the burnt offering, He is the trespass offering.
- 6:16He is the peace offering. We can have communion with Him,
- 6:21friends. Verse 3 And He shall offer of it
- 6:24all, the fat thereof, the rump, and the fat that covers the
- 6:27innards. So this is the best part.
- 6:30This is the first part. This is how God wants us to
- 6:35approach Him, to give him our very best.
- 6:37Verse four. And the two kidneys, and the fat
- 6:40that is on them, which is by the flanks, and the call that is
- 6:43above the livers, and the kidneys that shall he take away.
- 6:465 And the priest shall burn them upon the altar for an offering
- 6:51made by fire unto the Lord. It is a trespass offering.
- 6:55So you need to know what the trespass offering.
- 6:57This is whenever somebody knew the right thing to do, but they
- 7:01did not do it, and and they willfully trespassed against the
- 7:05holy God. 6 Every male among the priests shall eat thereof, and
- 7:11it shall be eaten in the holy place.
- 7:13It is most holy, it is set apart, friends, and this is how
- 7:17God takes care of those who were in the ministry.
- 7:21You need to know that a minister is worth his wages.
- 7:24You need to understand those who make their living by the gospel
- 7:28are worthy to be paid and worthy to make a living from the
- 7:33gospel. 7 as the sin offering is, so is the trespass offering.
- 7:40There is one law for them. The priest that makes atonement
- 7:44there with shall have it. So you need to know that this at
- 7:48one mint friends, that is all that the atonement is, is
- 7:51becoming at one with God again and sin keeps us away from him.
- 7:56But we need to be covered in the blood to be able to approach a
- 8:00holy God to come into the veil of the most holiest of holies
- 8:04that was ripped from top to bottom so that we can come in
- 8:08and dine and Sup with God. It is only by the blood of Jesus
- 8:12Christ, Friends 8 and the priest that offers any man's burnt
- 8:20offering. Even the priest shall have to
- 8:23himself the skin of the burnt offering which he has offered.
- 8:26So here we see God taking care of the priests, and they get not
- 8:30only to eat of these sacrifices, but they also get the leather
- 8:34from it. 9 And all the meat offering that is baked in the
- 8:39oven, and all that is dressed in the frying pan and in the pan
- 8:43shall be the priest that offers it. 10 And every meat offering
- 8:47mingled with oil and dry shall all the sons of errands have one
- 8:53as much as another. So there's plenty to go around.
- 8:56There's no lack in the Father's house, and he takes care of
- 8:59those who are in the wilderness, who are in the harvest, who are
- 9:05out in the fields with Him. God always make sure to give us
- 9:09Our Daily Bread. 11 And this is the law of the sacrifice of the
- 9:14peace offerings, which he shall offer unto the Lord. 12 If he
- 9:18offer it for a Thanksgiving, then he shall offer with the
- 9:24sacrifice of Thanksgiving unleavened cakes mingled with
- 9:28oil and unleavened waivers, wafers anointed with oil and
- 9:33cakes, cakes mingled with oil, and fine flour fried.
- 9:37So here we can see the oil. Friends, this is always
- 9:40synonymous with the Holy Spirit. We know that there is to not be
- 9:44any leaven in it, because leaven is the yeast of the Pharisees.
- 9:48This is where we see sin creeping into the lump and
- 9:52corrupting the entire camp. And we are to guard ourselves
- 9:57against the yeast of the Pharisees.
- 9:59We are to guard ourselves against sin, friends. 13 Besides
- 10:04the cakes he shall offer for his offering, leavened bread with
- 10:07the sacrifice of Thanksgiving of his peace offerings.
- 10:10So you see this fine flour, friends.
- 10:13No lumps, friends, no corruption, friends.
- 10:16This is a type of Christ. He was fine in every way.
- 10:19He was delicate friends, but He knew what to do and He he knew
- 10:22how to say what he needed to say in order to prick the heart to
- 10:26get to the root of the 'cause he never had to dance around.
- 10:31He told us exactly what he meant.
- 10:32He never had to ask for an apology.
- 10:35He was perfect in all of his ways. 14 And of it he shall
- 10:39offer one out of the whole oblation for a heave offering
- 10:42unto the Lord, and it shall be the priest that sprinkles the
- 10:45blood of the peace offerings. So here we're going to get to
- 10:48see the heave offering and the wave offering, which is going to
- 10:52show us the cross of Christ. 15 And the flesh of the sacrifice
- 10:57of his peace offerings for the Thanksgiving shall be eaten the
- 11:00same day that it is offered. He shall not leave any of it
- 11:03until the morning. So God wants fresh and a new
- 11:07devotion every day. We can't rest.
- 11:09We can't just keep going off of the coat of yesterday's winds.
- 11:14Today is the day of salvation. Keep pressing on towards Zion,
- 11:18friends. Do not just rest on your blessed
- 11:21assurance of yesterday's successes.
- 11:24Today is the day, friends. It is new today as mercies are
- 11:28new today. Do not be defeated by
- 11:31yesterday's losses, friends. We need to know that God wants
- 11:36fresh devotion each and every day. 16 But if the sacrifice of
- 11:41his offering be a vow or a voluntary offering, it shall be
- 11:45eaten the same day that he offers his sacrifice, and on the
- 11:48Morrow also the remainder of it shall be eaten.
- 11:51So they could eat of it today and eat of it tomorrow, but they
- 11:55are not to leave it for the third day. 17 But the remainder
- 11:59of the flesh of the sacrifice on the third day shall be burnt
- 12:02with fire. So anytime you see that
- 12:05something is burnt, it is given unto God.
- 12:08They are to sacrifice unto God and give God the pleasing aroma
- 12:12that he desires. And these aren't Moses's words
- 12:15and Moses's thoughts and Moses's protocols.
- 12:18This is God, and this is how God wanted them to approach Him in
- 12:23the daily sacrifices. 18 And if any of the flesh of the
- 12:27sacrifice of his peace offerings be eaten, all on the third day,
- 12:32it shall not be accepted, neither shall it be imputed unto
- 12:35him that offers it. It shall be an abomination and
- 12:39the soul that eats of it shall bear his iniquity.
- 12:42So here we can see that God is serious about how to approach
- 12:47Him. And He wanted the Israelites to
- 12:49know that there was a certain way that was acceptable unto Him
- 12:53and for us and for our day and for our our friends.
- 12:56We need to know that the only way unto the Father is through
- 13:00Jesus Christ. Jesus is the way, the truth and
- 13:03the life, and no one comes unto the Father except through Him.
- 13:06That is how we get there. We don't get to just tell God
- 13:10how to behave or we don't get to tell God how we want to approach
- 13:13Him. It is only by the blood of the
- 13:15Lamb and the words of our testimony and the fact that we
- 13:19do not shrink back from death that we will overcome.
- 13:28So that is what you need to know.
- 13:30He's going to bear the iniquity if he eats it on the third day.
- 13:3319 In the flesh that touches any unclean thing shall not be
- 13:37eaten. It shall be burnt with fire.
- 13:40And As for the flesh, that all that be clean shall eat thereof.
- 13:45So he's going to tell them that they are not to eat roadkill,
- 13:48they're not to eat any animal that was killed by another
- 13:52animal and lay dead. They weren't to do that.
- 13:54They were to take the very best and offer it unto him. 20 But
- 14:01the soul that eats of the flesh, of the sacrifice, of the peace
- 14:04offerings that pertain unto the Lord, having his uncleanness
- 14:08upon him, even that soul shall be cut off from his people.
- 14:12So he's wanting them to know that they are only to eat the
- 14:18meat that he prescribes during this time, and that is how God
- 14:23wanted them to approach him. 21 Moreover, the soul that shall
- 14:28touch any unclean thing as the uncleanness of man, or any
- 14:33unclean beast, or any abominable unclean thing, and eat of the
- 14:37flesh of the sacrifice of peace offerings which pertain unto the
- 14:41Lord, even that soul shall be cut off from his people.
- 14:45This is guarding them from leprosy.
- 14:47This is guarding them from disease.
- 14:49This is guarding them from having blight in the camp that
- 14:54would take out the people. God knows how to keep them
- 14:58kosher, how to keep them set apart, how to keep them from
- 15:01dwindling, away from disease and from pestilence.
- 15:05And that is what is mentioned here.
- 15:07God knows what he's doing, friends. 22 And the Lord spoke
- 15:11to Moses, saying, 23 Speak unto the children of Israel, saying,
- 15:16You shall eat no manner fat ox, sheep, goat.
- 15:21So he's telling them that the fat, the best part, it belongs
- 15:25unto God. 24 And the fat of the beast that dies of itself, and
- 15:31the fat of that which is torn with beasts, may be used in any
- 15:34other use, but it shall in no way eat of it.
- 15:38So he's telling them, go ahead and take the fat, and make the
- 15:42oil for the lamps, but do not take the fat and eat of it,
- 15:46because it could be disease ridden. 25 For whosoever eats
- 15:53the fat of the beast, of which men offer an offering made by
- 15:56fire unto the Lord, even the soul that eats it shall be cut
- 16:00off from his people. 26 Moreover, you shall eat no
- 16:03manner of blood, whether it be a fowl or beast, or in any of your
- 16:09dwellings. So here he prohibited them from
- 16:13the eating of the blood and eating of the fat, because those
- 16:17were synonymous with what God wanted and how he would accept
- 16:22them. And so they were not to eat of
- 16:25the things that God prohibited. It's very simple stuff, friends.
- 16:31They will be cut off if they did so. 28 And the Lord spoke unto
- 16:35Moses, saying, 29 Speak unto the children of Israel.
- 16:40He that offers the sacrifice of his peace offerings unto the
- 16:43Lord shall bring his oblation unto the Lord of the sacrifice
- 16:47of the peace offerings. 30 His own hands shall bring the
- 16:51offerings of the Lord, made by fire.
- 16:53The fat with the breast it shall he bring, and the breast may be
- 16:56waved for a wave, offering before the Lord.
- 16:59So there it is, He's heaved it, and he's waved it, and it's up
- 17:02and down and left and right, and it signifies Jesus Christ in the
- 17:07cross. 31 And the priest shall burn the fat upon the altar, but
- 17:13the breast shall be errands. And his sons.
- 17:15Isn't God so good as to give them a portion for eating?
- 17:2032 And the right shoulder shall you give unto the priest for a
- 17:24heave offering of the sacrifices of the peace offerings. 33 He
- 17:29among the sons of Aaron that offers the blood of the peace
- 17:32offerings, and the fat shall have the right shoulder for his
- 17:35part. 34 For the wave breast and the heave shoulder have I taken
- 17:42of the children of Israel from off the sacrifices of their
- 17:45peace offerings, and have given them unto Aaron the priests and
- 17:49his sons, by a statute forever from among the children of
- 17:53Israel. God taking care of the priests,
- 17:55making sure they were not to be allotted any of the land.
- 18:00And so God would have to take care of them, and they would
- 18:03have to rely upon God for their well-being.
- 18:07And that's the way that He designed it and set it up,
- 18:10friends. 35 This is the portion of the anointing of Aaron and of
- 18:16the anointing of his sons, and of the offerings of the Lord
- 18:19made by fire in the day when he presented them to minister unto
- 18:23the Lord in the priest's office. 36 which the Lord commanded to
- 18:27be given them of the children of Israel in the day that he
- 18:31anointed them by the statute forever throughout their
- 18:34generations forever, Friends. You can see a statute forever
- 18:40from among the children of Israel.
- 18:42So you can see that these still appertain unto them to this day.
- 18:46You can see in Genesis chapter 12, verse three, that he says,
- 18:50I'll bless those who bless you and curse those who curse you,
- 18:53and this will be a statute, friends, forever.
- 18:56It does not diminish, it does not wane.
- 18:59We would be remiss if we try to explain away Israel and say they
- 19:05were absorbed into the church. Far be it from us, friends, to
- 19:08have this replacement theology, you need to understand that the
- 19:12ethnic Jews will be there in the end. 37 This is the law of the
- 19:22burnt offering of the meat, offering of the sin offering of
- 19:26the trespass, offering of the consecrations, and of the
- 19:29sacrifice of the peace. Offerings will end on 38, which
- 19:33the Lord commanded Moses in Mount Sinai in the day that He
- 19:37commended the children of Israel to offer their oblations unto
- 19:42the Lord in the wilderness of Sinai.
- 19:44Every bit of this was designed to keep them from trying to
- 19:49approach the God of the universe, the only uncreated El
- 19:54Elyon, the Most High God. This was to keep them from
- 19:58trying to come up with their man made ways of approaching him.
- 20:02God told them how they would be accepted and how He would come
- 20:07close and let His manifest presence, the Shekinah Glory,
- 20:11come and rest all. All around them, this cloud by
- 20:16day and this pillar of fire by night, to come into the holiest
- 20:20of holy places. Friends, this is how God wanted
- 20:24them to approach Him. And He tells us today how we are
- 20:28to approach Him, and none come unto him except through being
- 20:32covered by the blood of our Lord Jesus Christ of Nazareth.
- 20:36Christ Almighty. That's who we come through.
- 20:39That's who we're covered in the blood.
- 20:41Friends. That's how we get there.
- 20:43That our palms and our backs and our feet and our head is covered
- 20:47in the blood. We're not just dunked in water,
- 20:49but we're washed in the blood of Jesus Christ.
- 20:52I pray that that's your story. I pray that you're there.
- 20:55I pray that you understand that. I pray that you're not just
- 20:59playing religion and playing church and playing a game.
- 21:03Friends, this is serious business.
- 21:05And I pray that you understand that God is worthy of all of
- 21:09your attention and adoration, and that you can only come to
- 21:13him by his Son, Jesus Christ. I pray that you've been blessed
- 21:17by this amazing chapter in God's Word.
- 21:21I know I sure have. I'm praying for every single one
- 21:23of you. I love you.
- 21:25We'll see you back here tomorrow.
- 21:26God bless you.
