  - prayer where we're dealing with how to bring

  - God into your work and daily responsibilities.

  - Key scripture comes from Colossians three twenty three

  - and says, whatever you do,

  - work at it with all your heart

  - as working for the Lord.

  - Now

  - I admit it's easy to think of time

  - with God as part of the day.

  - I mean, we pray,

  - we read scripture,
• 2:22
  - then

  - get on with real life.

  - But work, errands, meetings, household responsibilities,

  - and appointments take over,

  - and God can unintentionally

  - become disconnected from the majority of our day.

  - We've sometimes separated the sacred from the ordinary.

  - And the key thought there is that

  - if we think about it,

  - our life should be worship,

  - all aspects of it.

  - And scripture shows us that following God includes

  - how we serve, speak, manage responsibilities,

  - and treat people when no one is

  - applauding us.

  - True worship up close and personal.

  - What prayer does is that it invites God

  - into the ordinary.

  - And when

  - we invite him in,

  - nothing is ordinary.

  - Before we start working,

  - we have to

  - set the atmosphere.

  - And it's as easy as inviting him in

  - and allowing him

  - into our hearts

  - and allowing him to be honored

  - before a meeting.

  - Ask, God, give me wisdom

  - when frustration

  - arises.

  - Father, help me respond with grace.

  - And the powerful thing about this is that

  - prayer turns ordinary responsibilities

  - to walk with God.

  - Help us honor you through our work, responsibilities,

  - and attitude.

  - Give us excellence without perfectionism,

  - diligence

  - without anxiety,

  - and patience when things become difficult.

  - Remind us that even

  - ordinary tasks can become acts of worship when

  - they're done with a heart surrendered to you,

  - and we will bless you in Jesus' name.
