- 0:52Speaker 1: in two hours anyway, so fuck it. So I got up,
- 0:55Speaker 1: get to the airport, arrive, and the security line is
- 1:01Speaker 1: all the way through every single part of the security
- 1:03Speaker 1: area and out and down towards the baggage claims area,
- 1:06Speaker 1: and I've got like thirty five minutes on my flight,
- 1:08Speaker 1: and I'm like, oh, sure, okay. But I was like,
- 1:10Speaker 1: hang on, everyone, here's on six am flight. It'll be fine.
- 1:12Speaker 1: Wait in line. Someone's chundered in the middle of the
- 1:15Speaker 1: security line all over the ground and it's like brown
- 1:18Speaker 1: and disgusting, and people have not noticed it and walked
- 1:22Speaker 1: through it and rolled their suitcases through it.
- 1:24Speaker 2: Ah No.
- 1:25Speaker 1: And the security area smelled like vomit and it took ages,
- 1:29Speaker 1: and I was just like, this is a shambles. And
- 1:31Speaker 1: then they put us on the plane and then they
- 1:33Speaker 1: were like, hey, we're going to delay. Our pilot has
- 1:36Speaker 1: missed his call time. Akay has slipped in. And so
- 1:40Speaker 1: I was sitting on the plane for like forty five
- 1:42Speaker 1: fifty minutes. Would you say that, they said? They said,
- 1:44Speaker 1: And it was a bit of added there was a
- 1:45Speaker 1: bit of chuede in the voice. That he's missed his
- 1:48Speaker 1: call time. So we've managed to wrangle another pilot. He'll
- 1:50Speaker 1: be here in about fifteen minutes.
- 1:52Speaker 2: Yeah, I just said, that's an issue with a paperwork.
- 1:54Speaker 2: That's what they usually do. See. It makes you look connect.
- 1:56Speaker 4: I mean often, especially with the sort of regional flights,
- 2:00Speaker 4: they'll go, God, there's not enough people on this. We'll
- 2:02Speaker 4: just you'll just try and cancel with more people.
- 2:06Speaker 3: What was that flight that we were on with The
- 2:08Speaker 3: woman there said it was a ship shut Remember that
- 2:10Speaker 3: there was recent It was recent.
- 2:13Speaker 2: It was shocking. I was shocked by that.
- 2:16Speaker 1: What's up with you?
- 2:16Speaker 3: By that?
- 2:17Speaker 4: I thought you was I thought you were zooming. I
- 2:19Speaker 4: didn't realize you were flying down there.
- 2:20Speaker 1: No, I was down there. There was sixty or seventy students.
- 2:24Speaker 2: So you're not listening man, clearly not.
- 2:27Speaker 1: But we'll get We'll get into this here, we will,
- 2:30Speaker 1: which is great. What's up with you? Because you've done
- 2:32Speaker 1: this twice now you've like twined yourself or something.
- 2:34Speaker 4: Yeah, my hip's fucked. I had to hold onto my
- 2:37Speaker 4: car ceiling to get out of here due for a Hyperplasuah, totally,
- 2:40Speaker 4: I am.
- 2:41Speaker 2: I say.
- 2:41Speaker 4: My wife and I were walking last night and I
- 2:43Speaker 4: said I should actually, in all seriousness booking my hip
- 2:48Speaker 4: operation now because I can't get in and out of
- 2:51Speaker 4: my car. It's fucking painful.
- 2:53Speaker 1: But you would have, And I don't want to be
- 2:55Speaker 1: that guy, but you would have. You know, sought attention
- 2:59Speaker 1: for it. You you wouldn't just go straight for it.
- 3:02Speaker 4: Really, yeah, about a month ago.
- 3:07Speaker 2: Find out to believe. I find it really hard to believe.
- 3:10Speaker 1: I've I heard anything about that, and.
- 3:12Speaker 3: We know that nothing happened, doesn't on the show, I
- 3:16Speaker 3: don't tell.
- 3:17Speaker 1: You everything you have not had physio. There's a lie. Okay,
- 3:23Speaker 1: and you do that too when you like, all right, no,
- 3:25Speaker 1: that's fine.
- 3:26Speaker 2: That's fine.
- 3:27Speaker 4: And I'm also getting massive stabbing pains in my stomach too,
- 3:31Speaker 4: but that's my ulcers, is it you wish? Yeah, when
- 3:37Speaker 4: I when I get stressed, I get stabbing pains, but
- 3:41Speaker 4: stressed about lots of stuff. But anyway, so you got
- 3:44Speaker 4: down there on time, then, Keezy.
- 3:47Speaker 1: My plan was an hour delayed. I landed and the
- 3:49Speaker 1: text that was pre booked. I was like, poor felly
- 3:51Speaker 1: be waiting there for ages with my little sign. He
- 3:56Speaker 1: he calls me the hey man fifteen minutes away and
- 3:58Speaker 1: I'm like, cool, I've got half an hour until I'm
- 4:00Speaker 1: talking and he's fifteen minutes away, and the traffic said
- 4:04Speaker 1: I was gonna be thirty four minutes to get there.
- 4:06Speaker 1: It was just a fucking shambles. The whole morning was
- 4:07Speaker 1: a shambles, and I was really tired.
- 4:10Speaker 2: You're only talking to students, yeah, but.
- 4:12Speaker 1: It's you know, I remember when John Campbell came down
- 4:15Speaker 1: and spoke to us, and I remember it was like
- 4:16Speaker 1: really exciting, and I'm not John Campbell bay and he's
- 4:18Speaker 1: stetually the imagination. But I went from in a rush
- 4:23Speaker 1: out of the taxi, how are you going get he he,
- 4:25Speaker 1: I'll just come and introduce you and you'll come in.
- 4:27Speaker 1: And I was like yeah, okay, and then and then
- 4:28Speaker 1: like thirty seconds later, I was walking into a room.
- 4:30Speaker 1: There was like a people clapping, and then I was
- 4:32Speaker 1: doing a lecture on radio.
- 4:33Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 4:33Speaker 1: It was fucking like boom boom boom.
- 4:37Speaker 3: The whole Rocky Big Show week days from four on
- 4:40Speaker 3: Radio Hiarchy, remember.
- 4:43Speaker 1: The whole Wracky Big Show podcast.
- 4:45Speaker 4: In a way, that's a good thing you don't get
- 4:46Speaker 4: to sort of. I mean, obviously you had to press
- 4:49Speaker 4: it around with all the delays and stuff, but you
- 4:51Speaker 4: don't want to be waiting around once you're there to
- 4:53Speaker 4: go and get it done, you know what I mean.
- 4:55Speaker 4: It's good to just be cho and then just go okay,
- 4:57Speaker 4: here I am, let's do it.
- 4:59Speaker 2: So you puked all our over the departure of the.
- 5:02Speaker 1: Customs nervous keys because when I get I just couldn't
- 5:08Speaker 1: sleep last night, so I just got on the hammer.
- 5:11Speaker 2: And then that only works for a few hours.
- 5:14Speaker 1: But then when I went it was embarrassing because when
- 5:15Speaker 1: I went to speak to the students, I had gone
- 5:17Speaker 1: wheeze beforehand, but I didn't clean it up probably, and
- 5:19Speaker 1: I had a big whit patch on the front of my.
- 5:21Speaker 2: Crutch and it was really embarrassing.
- 5:23Speaker 4: Yeah, I can imagine, I can imagine.
- 5:27Speaker 2: But what have you guys been want to look like
- 5:29Speaker 2: a bit? It would look like, yeah, he's deliberately.
- 5:34Speaker 1: And then I turned it into a lesson for the students.
- 5:36Speaker 3: They loved it, Yes, they loved it. You get a
- 5:39Speaker 3: few more followers, man, did you direct everybody to your
- 5:41Speaker 3: Instagram page?
- 5:42Speaker 1: I think I got maybe six more followers. Cool, classic,
- 5:47Speaker 1: though interesting. The female audience were way more engaged than
- 5:51Speaker 1: the dudes they always but like totally reminded me of
- 5:54Speaker 1: being at school and all of my mates and I
- 5:57Speaker 1: all the guys were fucking hopeless, and you look around,
- 6:00Speaker 1: like the girls are writing notes and stuff and I'm cool,
- 6:02Speaker 1: the people are writing notes and people aren't running notes.
- 6:04Speaker 1: All of the girls are writing notes, and the dudes
- 6:06Speaker 1: are just sitting there.
- 6:08Speaker 2: I think that.
- 6:08Speaker 3: I think the woman though my experience, they were just
- 6:10Speaker 3: drawing cock and bulls. Yeah, because it sort of makes
- 6:14Speaker 3: them look like they're studious and interested, but really it's.
- 6:16Speaker 2: Just long, really, yeah, just on there.
- 6:19Speaker 4: Actually we had a guest speaker out of our school
- 6:25Speaker 4: who was also a radio broadcast talking about that as well.
- 6:28Speaker 2: Have a guess it was back in your.
- 6:30Speaker 4: Day, back in my day, okay, Murray Deeka, Yes, bang on.
- 6:35Speaker 2: Trying to think of the oldest person in hang On.
- 6:38Speaker 1: I was trying to google who invented radio? And I've
- 6:41Speaker 1: got to say, was it Gulielmo Marconi?
- 6:44Speaker 2: To his credit, he was very good. He would have
- 6:46Speaker 2: been very good.
- 6:47Speaker 4: He was very good. And he dropped, you know, a
- 6:50Speaker 4: few swear words.
- 6:51Speaker 2: Yeah, get the kids on.
- 6:54Speaker 4: He did a bit of felth which was sort of
- 6:57Speaker 4: you know, suggested rather than blatantly spoke. And then one
- 7:01Speaker 4: of the boys asked him at some stage, sue, what
- 7:03Speaker 4: did you mean by.
- 7:04Speaker 2: Blah blah blah?
- 7:05Speaker 4: And everyone sort of giggled, and Murray Deaker walked off
- 7:08Speaker 4: the stage and walked down to this kid and just
- 7:10Speaker 4: whispered in his ear and then walked back up on
- 7:13Speaker 4: stage again, and the kid was just sitting there going,
- 7:18Speaker 4: I can't remember who it was, but yeah, it was
- 7:20Speaker 4: pretty good.
- 7:21Speaker 2: Yeah, well you're very accomplished. He did quite well, didn't he.
- 7:23Speaker 2: In the old radio he did?
- 7:25Speaker 1: Yeah, so was he a radio guy first. I don't
- 7:27Speaker 1: even know that.
- 7:28Speaker 3: No, he was a teacher first, right do you think
- 7:32Speaker 3: he was if he wasn't a radio person.
- 7:34Speaker 1: On sport on Sky?
- 7:36Speaker 2: Oh right, yeah? No.
- 7:39Speaker 3: Was he a sports talk about guy when he when
- 7:41Speaker 3: he first starried and I hated the show so serious? Yeah,
- 7:48Speaker 3: like sport is just the most important thing. Like no
- 7:51Speaker 3: sense of humor, yes, when I heard it, he must
- 7:55Speaker 3: have heard one.
- 7:56Speaker 4: He could have a sense of humor. But it was interesting,
- 7:58Speaker 4: but god, it was serious. At his book, The Man
- 8:02Speaker 4: in the Mirror.
- 8:03Speaker 5: That's Michael Jackson's book, because he's had some you know, issues,
- 8:08Speaker 5: and he was talking about when he first started in
- 8:11Speaker 5: talk back radio, he was so nervous that he just
- 8:14Speaker 5: got all his mates to ring him up.
- 8:16Speaker 4: So he's terrified that no one was going to call
- 8:18Speaker 4: and his mom and family members and stuff, and they
- 8:22Speaker 4: just pretended to be other people asking him questions. He
- 8:25Speaker 4: did that for about a month.
- 8:26Speaker 1: But then people were calling in.
- 8:27Speaker 4: Then people started calling in to people just.
- 8:30Speaker 1: Need to hear other people calling in to know that
- 8:31Speaker 1: that's a thing. I start calling and they'll start calling. Yeah, yeah,
- 8:35Speaker 1: yeah that works. Yeah, what have you been doing today, Maggie?
- 8:38Speaker 3: A little bit of work. Got a new table, man,
- 8:40Speaker 3: got a new table on the podcast. You're going to
- 8:42Speaker 3: love it. You're not going to use it, but you're
- 8:44Speaker 3: going to love it. Big table, little, big table, bigger table.
- 8:47Speaker 3: What else, Jace, We've been walking around sweating my nuts off.
- 8:50Speaker 3: That was good fun, great, beautiful day to day, lovely
- 8:55Speaker 3: thinking out that much so keasy. Yeah, bit of a
- 8:57Speaker 3: non event today. Really good stuff happening, but bit of
- 8:59Speaker 3: an on event. You know you look, I put your
- 9:03Speaker 3: hip out.
- 9:05Speaker 2: I've got my lemon shirt on.
- 9:06Speaker 4: It's a nice shit. I should more T shirts. I
- 9:11Speaker 4: what the problem with my T shirts at the busy chair? Yeah,
- 9:15Speaker 4: at they're busy huggers. I don't like them. They're too tight.
- 9:18Speaker 4: There's nothing worse, I think, on a man than a
- 9:21Speaker 4: tight T shirt, especially if you're not cut like you,
- 9:24Speaker 4: you know what I mean.
- 9:24Speaker 3: But if you your T shirts aren't tired, some of
- 9:28Speaker 3: them are.
- 9:29Speaker 1: You do have one or two busy shirts, but I
- 9:31Speaker 1: only notice it because you pointed out every time.
- 9:34Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 9:34Speaker 4: But I also had an absolute debarkle of a morning,
- 9:39Speaker 4: which I will explain in the show.
- 9:41Speaker 2: Good Ship.
- 9:42Speaker 1: Plenty of time for that.
- 9:43Speaker 2: And then I got.
- 9:44Speaker 4: Got back from my house today at about two thirty
- 9:48Speaker 4: got on the left with the older lady and she
- 9:51Speaker 4: just looked me up and down and I was, you know,
- 9:54Speaker 4: covered and shit, probably stand.
- 9:56Speaker 1: At your apartment at the apartment, yeah, and I was.
- 10:00Speaker 2: Like hello, hello, hello, top of to morrow.
- 10:04Speaker 4: And we had some real real pieces of work outside
- 10:07Speaker 4: our window. Very early this morning. We made camp right
- 10:10Speaker 4: on the top of the steps, right out front of
- 10:12Speaker 4: in front of our window.
- 10:13Speaker 2: It was very entertaining.
- 10:16Speaker 3: You're agreeing punishing, It was great, you're loving it. And
- 10:19Speaker 3: also we've had a message from Sharnade over there in Ireland. Yes,
- 10:23Speaker 3: she said she doesn't think it's fair that we singled
- 10:25Speaker 3: her out, so apologies again, sorry, said sorry, we've offended
- 10:30Speaker 3: her again.
- 10:30Speaker 2: So well, I don't know either.
- 10:33Speaker 1: What do I have to do and then apologize on
- 10:35Speaker 1: national TV?
- 10:36Speaker 2: Is that it?
- 10:37Speaker 3: Yeah, that's right for cheating old Snade there. Yeah, that's
- 10:43Speaker 3: so sorry, shannaid what.
- 10:45Speaker 1: Was her last name? Just so we can really single.
- 10:50Speaker 2: Do you want to do a little bit of shade jokes?
- 10:53Speaker 1: I don't really have.
- 10:54Speaker 3: We only know one, don't we war to now? I
- 10:57Speaker 3: know this might be the best of the Sharnades, you know,
- 11:00Speaker 3: the Shnade I'm talking about no.
- 11:02Speaker 4: Are you having are you having lots of private convos with.
- 11:07Speaker 1: I have no idea what who Shenade is?
- 11:10Speaker 2: The Shnade in Ireland who we offended yesterday.
- 11:12Speaker 1: Of course that's it.
- 11:15Speaker 3: Well, then there's the other, the famous She was a
- 11:17Speaker 3: singeres Irish short hair, yes, yeah, amazing.
- 11:24Speaker 4: Didn't always have short hair, actually you actually had a
- 11:26Speaker 4: little bit longer once.
- 11:27Speaker 2: Yeah. Did you see that?
- 11:29Speaker 4: Very very beautiful, beautiful woman and a very gentle soul.
- 11:33Speaker 1: Beautiful voice as well, a very beautiful voice.
- 11:35Speaker 2: Where do you going?
- 11:38Speaker 3: She was probably highly intelligent as well. I don't know
- 11:39Speaker 3: what you're singling out her beauty in her voice, at
- 11:44Speaker 3: her brain.
- 11:44Speaker 4: A very very politically active and a very intelligent woman.
- 11:49Speaker 1: Geezy, I feel you just tacked those last two on
- 11:52Speaker 1: just to make up. Hey, this is a big show
- 11:54Speaker 1: four or seven weekdays.
- 11:55Speaker 2: Radio Hoder
