Latest / HEAVY Music Interviews / An Introspective Look At Life & Music With ELI GREEN From LIFE PILOT
Transcript
- 0:15Speaker 1: My name is Elo Green. I played drums for Adelaide
- 0:18Speaker 1: chaotic hardcore band Life Pilot, and we just released our
- 0:22Speaker 1: self titled album. It came out the other day and
- 0:27Speaker 1: it's been really cool. Everyone's been really enjoying it. It's
- 0:30Speaker 1: a pretty like hectic twelve tracks of sort of chaotic
- 0:35Speaker 1: angular metal core, but it's got some beautiful moments tucked
- 0:38Speaker 1: within it. We self recorded and produced the whole thing,
- 0:41Speaker 1: which is pretty cool. And yeah, check it out, man
- 0:45Speaker 1: chastic here. Thanks for joining us, brother, You're welcome, mate,
- 0:48Speaker 1: Thank you for having me.
- 0:49Speaker 2: No worries. I love the fact that when you when
- 0:51Speaker 2: you say your heart, people normally hear the term hardcore
- 0:54Speaker 2: and they know that a technic as fuck anyway.
- 0:56Speaker 1: But you've got to.
- 0:57Speaker 2: Chuck chaotic hard tour in there when you talk about
- 0:59Speaker 2: Life Pilots, which I think is fitting.
- 1:02Speaker 1: I think, so I mean hardcore, Like to me, hardcore
- 1:05Speaker 1: is that sort of two step mosh kind of band
- 1:09Speaker 1: and like really you know, simple, I guess, but like
- 1:13Speaker 1: in a good way, you know. Whereas for us, you know,
- 1:17Speaker 1: we come from that slightly more I guess, like southern
- 1:21Speaker 1: like metal kind of inspired like guitar metal core kind
- 1:26Speaker 1: of thing, but then sort of taking it with that
- 1:29Speaker 1: infusion of bands like Gyllinger, Escape Plan and more math
- 1:32Speaker 1: core kind of bands, so you know, it's that hardcore
- 1:35Speaker 1: metal core kind of balance. But tucked within that is
- 1:38Speaker 1: some weird time signature stuff, some really angular dissonant things,
- 1:42Speaker 1: like it's sort of meant to be a bit uncomfortable,
- 1:45Speaker 1: but then it's also meant to have those contrasting moments
- 1:48Speaker 1: where things kind of open up and get pretty for
- 1:50Speaker 1: a while before we get back to the chaos. And certainly,
- 1:53Speaker 1: you know, if anyone's ever seen a Life Pilot show live,
- 1:55Speaker 1: it's chaotic is the name of the game.
- 1:57Speaker 2: You know, as you mentioned, you you recently released your
- 2:02Speaker 2: self titled that debut album, Brolight.
- 2:04Speaker 1: What going into.
- 2:05Speaker 2: A debut album, Like, what what expectations do you have?
- 2:08Speaker 2: Like was the response what you thought you could get?
- 2:11Speaker 1: We really weren't sure because like we've taken a long
- 2:14Speaker 1: time to put this together, Like this whole thing started
- 2:16Speaker 1: before COVID and then obviously that wiped everything out for
- 2:19Speaker 1: a while, and you know, we had band members having
- 2:21Speaker 1: kids and all sorts of stuff throughout that period, so
- 2:24Speaker 1: you know, we weren't in any rush to just sort
- 2:26Speaker 1: of churn out a record like the time to you know,
- 2:29Speaker 1: capitalize and keep momentum had long gone, you know, in
- 2:32Speaker 1: the pandemic, So we just wanted to make something that
- 2:35Speaker 1: we were really proud of, and especially that we did
- 2:39Speaker 1: it all ourselves. You know, we built a studio you
- 2:41Speaker 1: know to make this record happen. So, you know, I
- 2:46Speaker 1: guess what we expected as far as a response was
- 2:49Speaker 1: anything from crickets to what we got, which was you know,
- 2:53Speaker 1: in the first couple of days, we ended up at
- 2:55Speaker 1: the top of the iTunes charts, which was the first
- 2:57Speaker 1: for our band, and you know that that was really
- 3:00Speaker 1: quite amazing. You know, we just sort of thought, wow, wow, Actually,
- 3:03Speaker 1: after all this time, you know, it seems like there's
- 3:05Speaker 1: some people who care about this as much as we
- 3:08Speaker 1: do and you know want to support it. So that
- 3:10Speaker 1: was really good. That certainly put some wind in the sales.
- 3:13Speaker 1: But you know, it's early days. Has only been out
- 3:15Speaker 1: for a week or so, so we're looking forward to
- 3:17Speaker 1: what the next couple of months, especially when we take
- 3:19Speaker 1: it out on the road this month at the end
- 3:21Speaker 1: of the month. That'll be really exciting to sort of
- 3:24Speaker 1: you know, get to see everyone into state and see
- 3:27Speaker 1: what other people have been thinking about the record. You
- 3:28Speaker 1: know what they like about it now.
- 3:31Speaker 2: You release the single was Mayflower nerve and feeding an
- 3:34Speaker 2: illness from there. So to say someone that's all someone's
- 3:36Speaker 2: heard of Life Pilot and the album, Are they good
- 3:39Speaker 2: sonic representation of what to expect?
- 3:41Speaker 1: Yeah? I think so. I think we picked those songs
- 3:44Speaker 1: very specifically. I guess to reintroduce the band, I suppose,
- 3:48Speaker 1: because you know, we have sort of like evolved our
- 3:50Speaker 1: sounds as bands do. I mean, we've been doing this
- 3:52Speaker 1: since twenty twelve, so you know, we've certainly maneuvered our
- 3:56Speaker 1: sound around a little bit. You know, it's still very
- 3:59Speaker 1: much in keeping with what we wanted out of the
- 4:01Speaker 1: band to start with, but we we certainly like chose
- 4:04Speaker 1: to represent you know, ourselves through those singles in a
- 4:08Speaker 1: way where yeah, people who hadn't heard of Life Pilot
- 4:10Speaker 1: could listen to it and go like, oh, this is cool,
- 4:12Speaker 1: and then go back through our back catalog and have
- 4:15Speaker 1: it not be this disjointed mess. You know, there's a
- 4:17Speaker 1: lot of bands that sort of over the years, they
- 4:19Speaker 1: evolve as bands do, but they stray so far away
- 4:22Speaker 1: from maybe what initially brought people to them and you know,
- 4:26Speaker 1: I think people like checking out some bands go back
- 4:29Speaker 1: to their back catalog and go like, WHOA is this
- 4:31Speaker 1: the same group of people, like what's what's going on here?
- 4:34Speaker 1: So it's definitely like the same like Live Pilot that
- 4:38Speaker 1: you know love, but definitely there's a lot more depth
- 4:41Speaker 1: into it. And being a longer release, you know, we
- 4:43Speaker 1: were able to explore some different sort of musical environments
- 4:46Speaker 1: and sounds and textures that I guess, you know, on
- 4:48Speaker 1: a shorter release maybe you don't get the opportunity to
- 4:51Speaker 1: do so. So but yeah, the singles are definitely a
- 4:53Speaker 1: very good representation of life Pilot. So further than that, my.
- 4:57Speaker 2: Like the Pressure release says that the music should in
- 5:00Speaker 2: a mix of the new and old elements of each
- 5:02Speaker 2: prior release. So you mentioned that you were conscious of that,
- 5:05Speaker 2: but did you did you actually sit down and listen
- 5:07Speaker 2: to all of you like in the creative process, did
- 5:09Speaker 2: you listen to all your previous work and try to
- 5:11Speaker 2: make sure you stayed within those parameters.
- 5:14Speaker 1: No, we didn't actually sit down and listen to I
- 5:16Speaker 1: mean perhaps perhaps just in passing, but we didn't make
- 5:19Speaker 1: a conscious decision to sit down and I guess analyze
- 5:22Speaker 1: our old work, but I suppose we've been playing it
- 5:24Speaker 1: for so long, I guess we know how it sounds.
- 5:27Speaker 1: But it was definitely like there were parts of some
- 5:31Speaker 1: of our earlier releases that we've really liked that maybe
- 5:35Speaker 1: we didn't sort of build off of in a linear
- 5:38Speaker 1: kind of fashion throughout the following releases, like our Compass
- 5:40Speaker 1: split that we did with statues of band from Perth
- 5:43Speaker 1: or sadly no longer with us, But that was a
- 5:46Speaker 1: very raw and like we recorded that whole thing live
- 5:49Speaker 1: together in the studio, which is basically never done in
- 5:51Speaker 1: metalcore these days, and you know, the mix was very
- 5:55Speaker 1: like aggressive sounding and feedback laden and noisy and gross,
- 5:59Speaker 1: but it was a very true representation of the band
- 6:04Speaker 1: and the songwriting on that you know also sort of
- 6:07Speaker 1: reflected that. So we definitely like all together, even though
- 6:11Speaker 1: some of us weren't in the band at the time,
- 6:13Speaker 1: but the three of us who were in the band
- 6:15Speaker 1: at the time, we sort of we're looking back at
- 6:17Speaker 1: that and go like we should we should keep that
- 6:19Speaker 1: influence that, you know, that old style, that more noisy,
- 6:22Speaker 1: more real style. So you know, when we were doing
- 6:24Speaker 1: the album production, for example, we didn't just like edit
- 6:26Speaker 1: absolutely everything to agree and you know, just make it
- 6:30Speaker 1: this mechanical thing. We kept a few things loose and
- 6:33Speaker 1: a little bit more organic, just to kind of have
- 6:35Speaker 1: a foot in that world that we had in compass
- 6:37Speaker 1: and definitely some of the tracks off of like a
- 6:41Speaker 1: release like Too Hot for Killing for example, which was
- 6:43Speaker 1: a little bit more I guess, had a bit more
- 6:47Speaker 1: depth to it, Like there were some more ballad style
- 6:49Speaker 1: songs I guess in there, or at least moments in
- 6:52Speaker 1: amongst all the chaos, and that was something that we
- 6:54Speaker 1: wanted to kind of build on a little bit more.
- 6:56Speaker 3: So.
- 6:56Speaker 1: Yeah, there were conversations about it, but we'd never really
- 6:59Speaker 1: sat down and went like, right, let's let's analyze all
- 7:02Speaker 1: this stuff, you know.
- 7:05Speaker 3: Now.
- 7:05Speaker 2: The press release also says that the album is very
- 7:08Speaker 2: personal for the band members. Can you elaborate on that
- 7:10Speaker 2: for us?
- 7:12Speaker 1: Yeah, definitely, Like a lot of the songs were written
- 7:15Speaker 1: over a very long period of time. As I mentioned,
- 7:17Speaker 1: this album took us like at least five years to
- 7:19Speaker 1: kind of bring to fruition. You know, I know, I
- 7:22Speaker 1: wrote a lot of my sort of submissions to the
- 7:25Speaker 1: band during a pretty hectic time in my life where
- 7:28Speaker 1: you know, a long relationship was sort of blowing up,
- 7:31Speaker 1: and I was sort of out living on my own
- 7:33Speaker 1: and kind of coming to terms with what my life
- 7:35Speaker 1: was like. And I know, for Angus, our vocalist, who
- 7:39Speaker 1: you know obviously writes all the lyrics, he he certainly,
- 7:42Speaker 1: you know, touches on a lot of really personal stuff
- 7:44Speaker 1: and a lot of you know, similar kind of themes.
- 7:48Speaker 1: But he's he's got a lot of like I was
- 7:51Speaker 1: actually reading through some of the lyrics the other day,
- 7:53Speaker 1: and he's got a great way of twisting a phrase,
- 7:55Speaker 1: but a lot of it's very like like powerful and
- 7:59Speaker 1: sort of into you know, a lot of how he
- 8:01Speaker 1: feels about himself and how he views himself, which is
- 8:05Speaker 1: something that you know, I don't think we've necessarily done
- 8:08Speaker 1: as much on records before, you know. I think when
- 8:10Speaker 1: we were younger, it was a little bit sort of
- 8:12Speaker 1: like us against the world. Now I suppose this record
- 8:16Speaker 1: is a little bit more us against us in a way,
- 8:19Speaker 1: as you do when you get older, you kind of
- 8:20Speaker 1: look inwards a bit more. There's certainly still a lot
- 8:23Speaker 1: of that, you know, put the middle finger up to
- 8:25Speaker 1: the man kind of thing that we had in the
- 8:27Speaker 1: early days. Definitely with the current political climate. There's a
- 8:31Speaker 1: few you know, choice little little phrases in there directed
- 8:34Speaker 1: at some of that, but you know, I think for
- 8:37Speaker 1: the most part, a lot of it is very reflective,
- 8:39Speaker 1: and there's some just sort of some tender moments in
- 8:41Speaker 1: there too, Like I know, both Angus and I, you know,
- 8:44Speaker 1: we lost our grandmothers who were basically, you know, both
- 8:47Speaker 1: mothers to us, you know, throughout the sort of this
- 8:51Speaker 1: whole period, So you know, there were some songs on
- 8:54Speaker 1: there that kind of touched on that relationship, which was
- 8:57Speaker 1: kind of interesting. But yeah, there's there's lots of different things,
- 9:00Speaker 1: and I would highly encourage people to dig into the
- 9:02Speaker 1: lyrics on the record if you give a chance, because
- 9:05Speaker 1: you know, Angus is quite a quite a clever wordsmith,
- 9:08Speaker 1: and I don't think he gets quite enough quite enough
- 9:11Speaker 1: credit for that, to be honest, because most times metalcore
- 9:13Speaker 1: bands are just screaming about the ocean and stuff. So,
- 9:16Speaker 1: you know, this is true.
- 9:19Speaker 2: I've always wanted to know this, Bray, but I've never
- 9:21Speaker 2: thought to ask a band this before. But the fact
- 9:23Speaker 2: that there was so much personal stuff on this one
- 9:26Speaker 2: was a whole creative process any different than one when
- 9:29Speaker 2: when you're just writing about like you say you against
- 9:32Speaker 2: the world, like this one, you're more reflected on yourselves.
- 9:34Speaker 2: Did was there any noticeable difference?
- 9:38Speaker 1: Yeah, I think I think on a couple of songs
- 9:40Speaker 1: in particular, I would say, especially the last track on
- 9:43Speaker 1: the album, The Light, that that song certainly feels very emotional.
- 9:49Speaker 1: It's it's quite open and different for us, and there's
- 9:51Speaker 1: a lot of a lot of texture to it that
- 9:54Speaker 1: you know, I think we haven't really explored before or
- 9:56Speaker 1: only just dipped our toes into, and especially for Angus,
- 9:59Speaker 1: that was like almost like a vocal solo piece, you know,
- 10:02Speaker 1: for the first two or three minutes of the tune.
- 10:05Speaker 1: So you know, definitely while we were recording that we
- 10:08Speaker 1: were very conscious of, I guess, the feeling that we
- 10:11Speaker 1: wanted it to evoke, and you know, making sure obviously
- 10:15Speaker 1: all the takes are good and he's happy with the
- 10:16Speaker 1: sound of his voice, but you know, if there are
- 10:18Speaker 1: moments on there that feel a little like imperfect, that's
- 10:21Speaker 1: okay to keep because that's what makes it human and
- 10:23Speaker 1: that's what brings it in line with the I guess
- 10:26Speaker 1: the emotional content of what we're trying to get across too.
- 10:30Speaker 1: But yeah, so there were there are a few little
- 10:31Speaker 1: moments like that for sure. We recorded the album very
- 10:33Speaker 1: ad hoc, so we we you know, would have like
- 10:36Speaker 1: one week we'd be focusing on one song, and then
- 10:38Speaker 1: we'd take a few days break and then we'd come back.
- 10:42Speaker 1: You know, having our own studio is a nice sort
- 10:44Speaker 1: of plus little perk of that. But you know we
- 10:47Speaker 1: were able to, I guess, give each song it's due.
- 10:49Speaker 1: You know, we would come back to it over and
- 10:51Speaker 1: over and over again until we really got it feeling right.
- 10:53Speaker 1: So I think definitely there was some elements of that
- 10:56Speaker 1: for sure.
- 10:57Speaker 2: Now you touched on this a bit earlier on before,
- 10:59Speaker 2: Robert Live Pilot have a reputation for your killer live show.
- 11:02Speaker 2: So for the benefit of those who might not have
- 11:04Speaker 2: had the pleasure before, run us through a typical live
- 11:07Speaker 2: performance from Live Pilot.
- 11:09Speaker 1: A typical live performance from Life Pilot usually involves the
- 11:13Speaker 1: people on stage trying to murder each other, or at
- 11:20Speaker 1: least murder ourselves. Yeah, like we we, like I said,
- 11:24Speaker 1: we come from that like upbringing of that Southern metalcore
- 11:28Speaker 1: of bands like Normal Jean, The Chariot, Dillinger, Escape Plan.
- 11:30Speaker 1: You know these bands that like not only is the
- 11:33Speaker 1: music they're playing frantic and chaotic. But the way they
- 11:36Speaker 1: play it is frantic and chaotic, and there's an element
- 11:38Speaker 1: of I don't want to say, like danger to it,
- 11:40Speaker 1: but they're like like unexpected antics to it. Like you
- 11:44Speaker 1: really just don't know what's going to happen, and to
- 11:46Speaker 1: be honest, neither do we. Like, you know, there are
- 11:49Speaker 1: things that I've come to expect, you know, the vocalists
- 11:51Speaker 1: doing backflips off of the drum kit, people jumping into
- 11:54Speaker 1: me into the drum kit, you know, just taking me out.
- 11:57Speaker 1: Like we've you know, we've had all sorts of crazy
- 12:00Speaker 1: things happen. Like our guitar players just run around the venue.
- 12:02Speaker 1: I don't see them for half of the show, you know,
- 12:05Speaker 1: like I'll look up and they'll be on a mezzanine level,
- 12:08Speaker 1: like drinking a beer over the banister or something like.
- 12:11Speaker 1: It's it's just a wild time. But like for us,
- 12:13Speaker 1: you know, we take this music very seriously, but we
- 12:15Speaker 1: don't take ourselves that seriously. You know, life is, you know,
- 12:19Speaker 1: it's a little too serious as it is. So we
- 12:22Speaker 1: try to like really just have fun, and we invite
- 12:24Speaker 1: people when they come to our show to have fun
- 12:26Speaker 1: and just let loose and just be themselves and you know,
- 12:29Speaker 1: get weird with us too. You know, like we've got
- 12:31Speaker 1: people coming up to our you know, our singer and
- 12:33Speaker 1: giving them their shoes and saying, hey, slap me in
- 12:35Speaker 1: the face with these songs or whatever. Like bizarre stuff
- 12:39Speaker 1: happens in the Life Party show. But we love it.
- 12:41Speaker 1: We love it. So we're really hoping that, you know,
- 12:42Speaker 1: in this inter state run that we're about to do,
- 12:44Speaker 1: that you know, we get some weird stuff happening as well.
- 12:48Speaker 2: Well that in the state run you speak of, bro
- 12:51Speaker 2: kicks off on the twenty fourth of April in Brisbane,
- 12:53Speaker 2: then you get the Gold Coast, Nambour, cherrygol Tamboro, Sydney
- 12:56Speaker 2: and Melbourne, finished in Adelaide on May sixteenth. By the
- 13:00Speaker 2: sounds of it, you guys have always got something up
- 13:03Speaker 2: your sleeves. So what specially have you got in store
- 13:05Speaker 2: for fans on this run?
- 13:07Speaker 1: Like I said, we kind of kind of just leave
- 13:10Speaker 1: it up to how we feel on the night, but
- 13:13Speaker 1: you know, like far out like the last last tour
- 13:16Speaker 1: that we did, which a while ago now, but you know,
- 13:18Speaker 1: we've had we had some shows where like just there
- 13:20Speaker 1: were some things in the room that we felt like, Okay,
- 13:23Speaker 1: we've got to work with this. There was a particular
- 13:25Speaker 1: show that we played, I think in Woollongong on our
- 13:27Speaker 1: last tour, and there was just this like rug in
- 13:29Speaker 1: front of the stage and Angus just saw it and
- 13:32Speaker 1: went like, Okay, at some point in the show, I'm
- 13:35Speaker 1: going to roll myself up like a burrito. And he did.
- 13:38Speaker 1: He cleared the crowd off, he ran down, grabbed it
- 13:40Speaker 1: and then coiled himself up and sort of like like
- 13:43Speaker 1: just pulled himself and people were picking him up inside
- 13:45Speaker 1: the rug like he was a body about to be
- 13:48Speaker 1: thrown into the lake. Like yeah, so you know, like
- 13:52Speaker 1: it's it's we really don't know. But what I will
- 13:55Speaker 1: promise anyone who comes and sees is that it will
- 13:57Speaker 1: be a good time. You will have fun. You will
- 13:59Speaker 1: probably off at some stage, and you know, and I
- 14:01Speaker 1: hope you get in there and chuck a marsh and
- 14:04Speaker 1: show us some cool moves.
- 14:06Speaker 2: I noticed two of the shows, the one in Adelade
- 14:08Speaker 2: and the one in Nambo or all ages, bro, Like,
- 14:10Speaker 2: do you have to you have to tone things down
- 14:12Speaker 2: a little bit? No, one, there's going to be kids.
- 14:14Speaker 1: In there, I guess, nah, absolutely not. Yeah, yeah, often
- 14:19Speaker 1: they're they're the weirdest ones. Like some of our out
- 14:22Speaker 1: like All Ages shows in the past have been the
- 14:24Speaker 1: ones where we were like just like, holy crap, like
- 14:26Speaker 1: these kids are going crazy. Like I remember once we
- 14:28Speaker 1: played in the Central Coast and we had like a
- 14:31Speaker 1: support band who like brought all their like they were
- 14:33Speaker 1: like high schoolers, so they brought all of their like
- 14:35Speaker 1: high school mates. And I don't know if most of
- 14:37Speaker 1: these kids had been to a hardcore show before, but
- 14:39Speaker 1: they were picking each other up and like swinging each
- 14:42Speaker 1: other around in the mosh pit like whipper snippers, and
- 14:45Speaker 1: we're a little concerned for their well being, but they
- 14:47Speaker 1: were just having fun man Like I guess, you know,
- 14:49Speaker 1: as a kid, like think about it, like when do
- 14:50Speaker 1: you get to let loose like that? You know, it's
- 14:52Speaker 1: it's not a thing. So yeah, definitely the All Ages
- 14:55Speaker 1: shows we certainly encourage, like you know, the younger crew
- 14:57Speaker 1: to come down. Obviously be safe, but how some fun
- 15:00Speaker 1: and you know, enjoy yourself.
- 15:03Speaker 3: Ah.
- 15:03Speaker 2: Now, before I let you go, bro, I've got a
- 15:05Speaker 2: new segment I've started called photo Bomb. So basically, before
- 15:08Speaker 2: we speak, I troll through your social media and I
- 15:10Speaker 2: come up with some foto that.
- 15:12Speaker 1: I want to know a bit more about, Like, okay,
- 15:14Speaker 1: this on here, like I don't.
- 15:15Speaker 2: Know what it's going on here, but it seemed my
- 15:17Speaker 2: first song was some sort of musical fucking human centipede.
- 15:21Speaker 1: But uh oh man, okay. So that I believe is
- 15:29Speaker 1: the birthplace of the Roe Pit. And I know the
- 15:32Speaker 1: Roe Pit has become like a bit of a meme
- 15:35Speaker 1: in the Australian medical community and some people don't like it.
- 15:38Speaker 1: But my understanding is that that kicked off there was
- 15:41Speaker 1: a couple of like people in Sydney, like central Coast
- 15:44Speaker 1: area that had started doing it, and a few of
- 15:48Speaker 1: those guys were like a part of either some of
- 15:50Speaker 1: the bands we were playing with or friends there of
- 15:51Speaker 1: who came to this show that we played in Sydney
- 15:54Speaker 1: and yeah, like the middle of one of our songs
- 15:56Speaker 1: completely like just like, no, we didn't ask to do,
- 16:00Speaker 1: We had no idea what the hell was going on.
- 16:01Speaker 1: They all just lined up in a row and just
- 16:03Speaker 1: started rowing. And our bass player you can see at
- 16:06Speaker 1: the front, he jumped in there and tried to play
- 16:08Speaker 1: the riff while doing a hundred crunches. Yeah, that was
- 16:12Speaker 1: that was super fun. That was a really fun show.
- 16:14Speaker 1: Actually that was at Stave's Brewery in Sydney. We enjoyed that.
- 16:17Speaker 1: That was a cool place.
- 16:18Speaker 2: Hey, go On's the second photo I've got for you
- 16:21Speaker 2: is I've played stacks on before, bro, but never quite
- 16:25Speaker 2: like this.
- 16:28Speaker 1: Yeah, that was. That was at Adelaide's Unibar. Staxon has
- 16:33Speaker 1: been a pretty common theme for our band. You can
- 16:36Speaker 1: sort of see at the very bottom there's a microphone
- 16:39Speaker 1: and people are trying to grab it, and that's anger.
- 16:42Speaker 1: This is on the underside of that. And he got
- 16:45Speaker 1: absolutely smashed by that. And that last guy who jumped
- 16:48Speaker 1: on I actually jumped on and kind of fell off.
- 16:51Speaker 1: That dude rolled on right after me, and I just
- 16:53Speaker 1: saw him out the corner of the aisle while I
- 16:54Speaker 1: was running onto the stack getting up. He was a
- 16:56Speaker 1: big boy, and I was genuinely concerned that he was
- 16:59Speaker 1: coming down crashing after me. But poor angus at the
- 17:01Speaker 1: bottom of the stack, he's weighs like fifty kilos, doesn't
- 17:05Speaker 1: have an ounce of fat on him, so he got crushed.
- 17:07Speaker 2: So was that guy on top just a guy from
- 17:09Speaker 2: the crowd that's just run up And.
- 17:11Speaker 1: Yeah, just some dude, just some guy. Didn't even meet him.
- 17:14Speaker 1: Afterwards he just like came in, watched our show, crushed
- 17:17Speaker 1: our singer, and out he went.
- 17:19Speaker 2: They've then violated him and fucked off.
- 17:22Speaker 1: That's again a constant theme in Life Pilot.
- 17:24Speaker 2: You know, oh SHITU bro No, Well, thanks for the
- 17:28Speaker 2: chap boat for a pleasure as usual, The self titled
