- 0:00The following program is produced by the Tech Talk Radio Network. This is Alice
- 0:04Cooper, the original Techno Todd and you're listening to tech Talk Radio. Welcome
- 0:10to another episode of tech Talk Radio. I'm Andy Taylor, I'm Sean toward
- 0:14Click, and I'm Justin. And now, if you don't know, we
- 0:17are the show that delves into technology, computers and the Internet. As we
- 0:25cut that down without a script, I only took us three tries. Well,
- 0:31good to have Slick with us this week. We've been talking about a
- 0:34whole bunch of things pre show, so Slick he kind of came in just
- 0:37as we got started. But I'll tell you there's a lot going on in
- 0:41the world of tech. There is. Not only do you have big,
- 0:43huge news screens where we're gonna be talking about Balder's Gate, which we're gonna
- 0:48be talking about preferences of headphones we're gonna be talking about, but we're gonna
- 0:52talk about the creative stylings of Justin and something he has created that is absolutely
- 0:59blowing my mind. All Right, So some people have heard about mid Journey
- 1:03and can you kind of explain Justin what mid Journey is all about. Well,
- 1:07mid Journey is just one of the many facets of this new AI wave
- 1:12of technology, artificial intelligence. You know a lot of people have heard about
- 1:17chat, GPT and bard and Microsoft bing Chat. You know, these are
- 1:21the text based AI programs that will you know, write things for you or
- 1:27look up answers or even you know, help you solve coding problems or whatever.
- 1:32But mid Journey is the visual aspect of AI. So what mid Journey
- 1:37does is it's a Discord server. Now Discord is kind of like you know,
- 1:42it's it's a chat it's a giant chat room. But there's you know,
- 1:45millions of different you know, chat rooms you can join, and mid
- 1:49Journey is one of them. You do have to pay for it. It
- 1:52used to be freed during the beta test, but now you have to pay.
- 1:53I think I pay ten bucks a month. That bad, Yeah,
- 1:57and I get like two hundred images or whatever. But basically, what you
- 2:00do is you go to mid Journey, you give it a prompt, but
- 2:02now you tell it what you do. This all in within Discord. Still
- 2:07within discord, Yes, okay, so you're in Discord. You're in the
- 2:09Discord server for mid Journey, and there's there's guides if you don't know what
- 2:14I'm talking about. There's guides, it'll tell you how to do it.
- 2:16But what you do is you give the bot a prompt and so what I've
- 2:21said in the past and and Slick. If you go to the zoom chat
- 2:23you can see some of the images that I posted earlier. But for instance,
- 2:28what I did with this one is I told it to generate an image
- 2:32of three guys. Because I didn't know you were joining Slick at this point,
- 2:37so I said, generate an image of three guys discussing technology on a
- 2:42podcast, one of them being older, slightly slightly middle Eastern descent, one
- 2:50of them being middle aged, white guy a little bit slender, and the
- 2:54third guy glasses and just a tiny heavy set. I'm not saying you're fat,
- 3:01Sean, just I'm trying to I'm trying. I'm trying to just give
- 3:06it some ideas between sugarcoated. That one didn't he I'm not saying these you're
- 3:10not fat, Sean, you're just big boned yea here, But I told
- 3:20it to That's that was the prompt I gave it, and it generated an
- 3:23image and we'll post them up on the website. It's kind of interesting because
- 3:25it is a photo realistic image. Now it's obviously not us. These are
- 3:30not even real people. It looks real, it looks like real people.
- 3:34Wait, so these are There's not These aren't pulled from a stock photo somewhere
- 3:38creating I mean initially yeah, because the thing has got a train. I
- 3:44mean, the AI has to train. So it looks at millions and millions
- 3:47of images and it puts little, tiny pieces together to form new things.
- 3:53Now, during the pre show, Sean was discussing about how AI is good
- 3:59at a lot of different images, but one thing it can't do. Sean,
- 4:02what was it again? You said, hands and feet? Hands and
- 4:04feet? Now, why why is that? Why can't it do that?
- 4:10Apparently it can't count digits on your finger because there are other images where you'll
- 4:14look and you'll see a person with like two hands, well I mean two
- 4:17hands on one side out of their arm, or a hand cut an arm,
- 4:21or a hand coming out of their hand, or like six fingers,
- 4:26you know. So to segue out of that a little bit, right,
- 4:28it's that it busted a artist who does content for Wizards of the Coast,
- 4:33for duns and dragons. Right, So some people notice, like why are
- 4:38the hands and the feet of these wolves the pause of these wolves so terrible?
- 4:43And then he's like, oh, yeah, I used AI to finish
- 4:46some of my artwork, and Wizards is like, what, we don't use
- 4:49AI at any of our work. Yeah, we don't pay for it's already
- 4:53published. Oh wow, you see, I don't understand. I'm looking at
- 4:57this and if you're looking at this to the blog, it is mind boggling.
- 5:00Uh. You know, Slick is looking at this for for the first
- 5:02time. I just can't believe these aren't real people that somewhere have you know,
- 5:08uploaded their photo to you know, resume exchange, and it's just grabbing
- 5:12him because it really, honestly, we don't even have we don't even have
- 5:15a group shot of us that looks that great. Okay, yes, truthfully,
- 5:19yes, but we're gonna post a couple more pictures because there are some
- 5:23pictures that are just completely jacked up. What were you thinking when you asked
- 5:27mid Journey to create this? Okay, So Slick, look at the third
- 5:31the third image total. The third image total. I told it to generate
- 5:38women celebrating pumpkin spice season, and it generated women women celebrating pumpkin spice season.
- 5:48Why but just because people were talking about pumpkin spice season happening, and
- 5:54women love pumpkin spice for some reason. The places it got the pumpkin lattes
- 5:57and doggy treats. To understand how his brain kind of pulls things to give,
- 6:02well, I just I just randomly think of things. I'm like,
- 6:04oh, that'd be a cool prompt, and I generated this. But now
- 6:08this third image, look, if you look at him, we'll post them
- 6:10on the blog. First off, the eyes of the women are completely jacked
- 6:14up. They look they look like aliens. One person's face is just completely
- 6:18melting. What the heck I mean, it's it's really really messed up.
- 6:24I think there's a woman pulling another woman's chin down like the Scream. It
- 6:29looks like the Scream mass. Yeah, yeah, yeah. The pumpkins are
- 6:32there, you know, they look good, the big Lives. And she
- 6:34looks like a nineties WWE wrestler, yes, with the face paint on,
- 6:40like the ultimate warrior woman. Face is melting in her arm is like disappearing
- 6:45in a foam of pumpkinness. But but the thing is is these are these
- 6:47look real I mean, for the most part they look real, and so
- 6:50it's it's it's funny to see what AI can generate based on what you give
- 6:57it. Now, you don't have to do photo realistic stuff. You could
- 6:59do artwork. You could be like, oh, I want an artistic representation
- 7:03of blah blah blah, and it will do that. You can even give
- 7:08AI an image. You can take an image, a real image, and
- 7:11say make this a little different, and it will generate a new image based
- 7:15off the image you've given it. And could you put one in there that
- 7:19would say, like, uh, you know, upload a photo of Slick
- 7:23and then say give Slick more more hair. Could but I could probably won't
- 7:30because he's got another there's no need for that to go. Yeah, there's
- 7:32no need to reach back end time. Yeah, that was always I was
- 7:35sitting here thinking maybe it's a good thing I came in late today because I'm
- 7:40freedom with Justin. Would or could have said to go, oh, and
- 7:44by the way, this other guy, let me let me describe him to
- 7:46you. Yeah, or Sean, I mean, Sean looks perplexed. Do
- 7:53you have a favorite pumpkin picture? I like the last pumpkin picture, which
- 7:58you'll be able to see yeah, oh it's awful. Yeah, I mean,
- 8:05it's just it's just the way they're positioned. Like you can see the
- 8:07one woman's chest is blending into the arm of the other girl who's wristled quick
- 8:13like it's broken in six places. Yeah, yeah, yeah, oh yeah,
- 8:16yeah. It looks like her hand is completely malformed. She's holding onto
- 8:22a spoon that's mystically floating in the air. The best part about the best
- 8:28part about mid Journey, though, is you don't necessarily even have to subscribe
- 8:31to use. I mean you don't. You can't give it your own prompt
- 8:35unless you subscribe, But you can still join the discord channel and look at
- 8:37all the different photos that other people have been generating, and it will tell
- 8:41you the prompt that they're using. So you'll see a prompt of you know,
- 8:46I'm just looking right now at some random thing. Let's see here.
- 8:50Do you also none of these women's bottom teeth, Well, there they are,
- 8:54but it's a weird jaw thing. And it's again it's got to be
- 8:58the AI is having a problem recreating not only hands. Yeah, but yeah,
- 9:01well there's there's another one here. There's the prompt this guy just posted
- 9:05something. It said, abstract illustration of a Hispanic woman standing in a pile
- 9:09of spaghetti. And it literally draws a an artwork. It's not photo realistic.
- 9:16It's artwork of a Hispanic woman wrapped in spaghetti like a wearing like a
- 9:20spaghetti dress. Why would why would somebody come up with something like that?
- 9:24I don't know, dude, Internet, Literally, anything you could think of,
- 9:28somebody's drawn it. You know, we've seen the commercials too. Did
- 9:33you guys see the pizza commercial that was done with AI. It's awful.
- 9:37Maybe we could put that was scary. We could put that in the block
- 9:41too. So they created They basically told and you think about this, the
- 9:45artificial intelligence, you tell it create this, and it created this pizza commercial
- 9:50that had people enjoying pizza that was like melting into their face and and it
- 9:54was horrific. It was like a scary movie. But a I is able
- 10:00to do this kind of thing. Now, imagine now if you took this
- 10:05picture justin like the last picture you created, uh, with the the Asian
- 10:11woman walking away from the fire. You want to say, why you created
- 10:15that? I think that's that's actually pretty good. Oh well yeah, so
- 10:18I took a picture of It's basically kind of like that Hollywood shot where somebody's
- 10:22walking away from an explosion, right, but they're walking, they're walking towards
- 10:26the camera, and this happens to be an Asian woman walking away from an
- 10:28explosion. And my idea behind that was a story was I was trying to
- 10:33get Eric ready for bed, and I told him, Hey, Eric,
- 10:35it's it's time for bed, get ready for bed. Well, as he
- 10:39was starting to get ready, I went upstairs to get his bed ready,
- 10:41and during that time, my wife decided to pull out some like origami paper
- 10:46or something and start cutting things. And Eric was like, ooh, I
- 10:48want to try. Yeah. So I come downstairs and I'm like, what
- 10:52the heck, dude, I said bedtime, and my wife just goes all
- 10:54right, I'm gonna go take a shower and just walks off. And so
- 10:58this represents her starting an explosion of anger when I'm telling my kid to get
- 11:03ready and Jesus walks away. That's perfect, but it actually looks. This
- 11:07one really looks if you were to deal with that image and you went back
- 11:11in time ten years ago, maybe maybe even fifteen years ago, you could
- 11:16you showed that to somebody may be blown away. They be thinking you were
- 11:20the greatest photographer in the world. Yeah, to be able to end to
- 11:24that. And then this last one I just posted. I literally just did
- 11:26this on mid journey while we were talking. It is Mortal Kombat characters drawn
- 11:33in the art style of studio Ghibli. Oh wow, that's actually really good
- 11:37as well. Yeah, that's really good. Now, what are your restrictions
- 11:41when you use these? You can't do anything that's pornographic. You can't do
- 11:46anything that shows harm or death. I mean you can. You can tell
- 11:52it show me a picture of death, and it will draw like the character
- 11:56of death. Yeah, but you can't say, show me somebody getting their
- 11:58head cut off or something. They won't do that, I mean it won't,
- 12:01it won't. Yeah. It has limitations, and you can appeal like
- 12:05I've I've told it to do things, and it's like, oh, we've
- 12:09we've blocked your request because we think it's not right, and I can.
- 12:11You can click a button to appeal it and it gets sent to a moderator
- 12:15who's a human who will actually review it and say nah, I'm not going
- 12:18to allow that, or yeah, okay, I'll allow that, and then
- 12:22it will generate the image if they do allow it. So there are restrictions
- 12:24on what you can and cannot generate, all right, So if somebody wants
- 12:28to do this, what they need to do is set up a discord their
- 12:31own discord, well, which is not that hard to do, right.
- 12:35You can you can get the mid journey bought in your discord. I don't
- 12:41personally know how to do it. I'm actually on so I just went to
- 12:43mid journey dot com and you can sign up. You can. You can
- 12:48sign it right there, and it will tell you everything about how to use
- 12:52it and what it is, and uh yeah, it'll tell you how to
- 12:56join the discord server and I will tell you how to you know, generate
- 13:00images. Well, now, when I tried to sign up, it took
- 13:03me unbeknownst to me. You'll find it like a second to third screen that
- 13:07you're creating an account on discord right right, And we have it. We
- 13:13have a tech talk radio account that only I think you know, only the
- 13:16three of us are on nobody. I don't really get on it enough,
- 13:20but I need to. I want to because I think there's a lot of
- 13:24a lot of things we can have some fun with Well, you still got
- 13:26to make us admins. You haven't even done that yet. Yeah, you're
- 13:28an admin, i'd like, Sean. Oh no, you're an admin.
- 13:33Sean. You bumped out before I got a chance to do to add you.
- 13:37So I'll make you an admin too, and then we could have we
- 13:39could have some fun with this. But to be able to create this,
- 13:41how long is the process for you to say, say, the picture with
- 13:46the three guys sitting around the Apple computer, which is funny, that's that's
- 13:50pretty cool. But how long did it take to create that the let's see
- 13:56from the initial prompt? Uh? Then I went through like about seven variations
- 14:01of it to try to find that perfect one about five minutes. Wow.
- 14:05You know a lot of the companies are really trying to find a way to
- 14:09integrate AI into Topaz is one of those. Uh, and I'm gonna be
- 14:13taking a look at their Topaz Photo AI. They also a video AI program
- 14:18which actually can take like something shot four eighty and enhance it for seven twenty.
- 14:24Now, Sean, you know what that means. I mean, basically,
- 14:26you could take away that that eighties seventies VHS look and give it a
- 14:31crisp feel a crisp look to it using their AI. Their photo AI top
- 14:37has this photo. AI can actually make stuff a lot sharper looking, which
- 14:41is is kind of neat. And Adobe is also doing this, and Sean
- 14:46has already given us a demo with that with Generative Phil. Have you still
- 14:50been playing around with that seen at all? Nope? No, you know.
- 14:54I mean, you guys are talking about AI and I'm kind of zoning
- 14:58out of here right yet you're not a I know that AI is going to
- 15:01change the world, and I need to get on board, but I just
- 15:05can't do it. I can't get into it. I can't. Well,
- 15:07do you really need to get on board though? Is it absolutely necessary?
- 15:11I mean, because it'll come for my industry, Yes, it will come,
- 15:18but you need to get in. I work for an industry leader in
- 15:20the broadcast world, so I have to know it. I have to get
- 15:24on board because we're already integrating it. We're already integrating stuff and the biggest
- 15:28part of our job for AI is logging. So yeah, somebody doesn't Somebody
- 15:35doesn't have to sit down and watch the screen and say player number twenty five
- 15:39yards at three minutes on the clock, two outs, one inning whatever.
- 15:45Right, AI is scraping all that data and just putting it into the metadata.
- 15:52We're already using all of our highlights for and you know who knows that
- 15:56I'm also allowed to say this, right, but it's like the major ality
- 16:00of our highlights from sports that are being broadcast are done by AI. We
- 16:07feed our we feed our game feed into a program, right, that then
- 16:11cuts highlights based on parameters that the people programs bring the content, not the
- 16:17program. Yeah, I'm sure a programmer, but like the content creator for
- 16:22the social media says all right, I need these style of highlights, and
- 16:25it just shops it up and spits them out. Wow. So there's nobody
- 16:30sitting there logging and watching the game going all right, player twenty they scored
- 16:33a touchdown clip that here's the metadata player name that we're time whether all that
- 16:40stuff, It just does it. They're also saying right now that that AI
- 16:42is the fastest growing job into sta out there. I mean, there are
- 16:48jobs posted that are offering five hundred thousand dollars per year to program AI.
- 16:53Yep. And there are people that now that maybe you used to be proficient
- 16:59in IT sell or word or Lotus one, two three, you know,
- 17:03or maybe you could type sixty words per minute. Now, honestly, a
- 17:07company is going to look at you a little better if you say I have
- 17:10experience with AI, whether it be Chat GPT, uh you know, or
- 17:15the new enterprise Chat GPT which they've just announced, or any of these any
- 17:19of these AI programs that can actually help you. It used to be you
- 17:23could say I know how to work illustrator. Well, now you need to
- 17:26be able to to create faster and even maybe even more dynamic using these AI
- 17:33tools, whether you use imagine somebody comes to you say yeah, I could
- 17:37create using Correll, which is great. But if they come in and say
- 17:40I could use Correll, I could use Illustrator, and I can use mid
- 17:42Journey, They're gonna look at oh mid Journey, oh wow, because they've
- 17:45heard of it. So it's going to create more of an environment. Especially
- 17:48the kids are in school now. I don't know if anybody's teaching them the
- 17:52stuff. But Sean, you're not you're not a big fan of this.
- 17:55No, I didn't say I wasn't a fan. I just I it doesn't
- 18:00fit my work style, it doesn't fit my vision of technology. Doesn't fit
- 18:04me, and that that's not to say it doesn't fit everybody else. But
- 18:07it's just my interpretation of what technology technology should be and how it impacts our
- 18:14lives is not AI. It's not to me and I have talked about this
- 18:22before. We are as a society are dumb. And that's that's just me
- 18:30saying it. Right. We are so ingrained with technology and our faces are
- 18:33in everything. There is zero creativity. There's zero art outlet, there's an
- 18:37and Yeah, people are ingesting content by the so much content all the time,
- 18:44but when is it too much? Yeah? When does your brain have
- 18:48a time to shut off and process the content you've seen, the content you've
- 18:52read, the content you've heard, right, the content that you've created.
- 18:56Would you draw a piece of art? You've got to post it? Say,
- 19:00I ran into this with with just my art and general online. I
- 19:04had had this immense pressure to just produce content because people wanted to see it.
- 19:11Well, I was burned out. I don't want to produce content,
- 19:14but people were like, hey, you stop posting pictures on the you know,
- 19:15I really like to see your pictures. Yeah, because right, well,
- 19:19I mean look at it from a mental capacity, right, and AI
- 19:26is going to this is again, this is me just on a soapbox.
- 19:30AI is stifling the creativity of the human mind because I don't have to think
- 19:37about anything anymore. I don't have to think about a story prompt, I
- 19:40don't have to think about an image. I can just type show me this,
- 19:42and it's going to spit it out, whereas before you had to be
- 19:45creative to put it all together. Well yeah, I mean, and granted,
- 19:48okay, it's it's it's enabling people that maybe aren't artists to generate art,
- 19:53and that's cool. But to me, that's scary because it's you're not
- 20:02You are disconnecting yourself from the creative process that makes us human. I think
- 20:07the marketplace is going to weed that out, though, because to me,
- 20:10that's the shotgun approach. You know, you've got creative content, doesn't mean
- 20:14it's good content, doesn't mean it's targeted content, you know, doesn't doesn't
- 20:18even mean it's correct content. It's just content, you know. I kind
- 20:21of wonder buddy of mine is a really good photographer. It's great. It
- 20:25takes some great photos, and lately a couple of the photos he's shown me,
- 20:30it's to me it's mind blowing where he's gone out on a photo shoot
- 20:34and it hasn't been the best conditions. Sean, you know more than anybody,
- 20:40especially even flying drones. Uh, sometimes the conditions just aren't going to
- 20:44be right. You get dunked. That's that's part of that's part of the
- 20:47business, right. But instead, what a lot of photographers are doing now
- 20:52is they're taking these photos and they're there. It's they'll fix it in the
- 20:56mix. It's that old term. It's a you know, it's an old
- 21:00video post. Yeah, the fix it. We'll fix it in post.
- 21:03You know, you'll fix it afterwards. And now the fixing, a lot
- 21:06of it's being done by AI, where they'll suddenly, well we don't need
- 21:10that building there, let's take that out and that building can be wiped.
- 21:12We're using generative fill from Adobe and some of the other you know, AI
- 21:17tools that are available. It does all of that because you still have to
- 21:22be careful, especially if you look at at the photos that we have on
- 21:25our blog now of how many fingers do these people have, how many hands
- 21:29do they have. They're a little little and I think Sean, you've mentioned
- 21:33this word before. Uncanny valley. Oh, yeah, you're you're gonna see
- 21:37that no matter what, right, And it's just becoming more of a thing
- 21:41and people are getting used to it, which is fine, but there's still
- 21:45that unsettling feeling when you look at something going, yeah, that's been treated
- 21:51by AI. You even said it earlier, Andy, you can tell what
- 21:53an article is AI written just because it doesn't feel right, it doesn't Is
- 21:57there going to be what's the new term? Is it gonna on canny valley?
- 22:00Is a filter? Is there going to be a is that? Is
- 22:03that a blanket term? Now for that uneasy feeling about content that's produced by
- 22:07AI, we get we get close to about one hundred maybe one hundred and
- 22:11fifty pieces of email every day, pitches, stories, uh, stuff that's,
- 22:18you know, highlighting an event that is happening, whether it be here
- 22:21in southern Arizona or you know around the globe that you know maybe we will
- 22:26want to cover. And I've gotten to that point where I reach that uncanny
- 22:30valley when I'm reading an email because I feel that email is using the words
- 22:37that AI would be using, or I just don't feel it's really a human
- 22:44that's that's typed it, that's that come up with the wording. For example,
- 22:48we we have used chat GPT. I'm I don't mind saying it.
- 22:52I create every and you don't. I have a very busy schedule, so
- 22:56when we decide to post our show, I always create a show synopsis,
- 23:00which usually means we do the show. I go back listen to the show,
- 23:04and as I'm listening to the show, I'm typing up, yeah,
- 23:07okay, we talked about this, Okay, we talked about that, we
- 23:10talked about this, we talked about that, and I'll go ahead, and
- 23:11I'll I'll go ahead and write it. And now I've what I've done is
- 23:17I've took I thought, well, maybe I can highlight this a little more,
- 23:19and I have put it into chat GPT and what comes back usually is
- 23:26something like wow, I didn't expect that, where it's this too much,
- 23:30it's like over the top, like this exciting episode of tech Talk Radio,
- 23:36groundbreaking technology, and I feel, no, no, no, that's not
- 23:38what I read that. And I'm like, Andy had too much coffee,
- 23:41or that's chat GPT one of the two. But I noticed something recently in
- 23:45one of those that we had done, and I thought, okay, I
- 23:48go in and I edit it, And I think that's what you have to
- 23:49do with chat TPT when you're doing an article or a story, edit it.
- 23:53If you want to help it, help you guide along, Fine,
- 23:57go in and edit it. But I miss some thing. I noticed that
- 24:00justin on his name it was it was crylic So the j was done by
- 24:07chat GPT in this different type of j. My ja's were all perfect,
- 24:15but the AI that I didn't Okay, i'll let that go. I'll let
- 24:18that go. It was all so you really you can't rely one hundred percent
- 24:22on it. It still needs that human interaction. Not will it be will
- 24:29you know the the enterprise edition fix that? Will it? There'll be further
- 24:33renditions. Will there be chat GPT five that will fix some of that?
- 24:37I don't. I don't know. And that's that's where it starts getting a
- 24:40little scary, like skynet like you talked about the other day. So you
- 24:44mentioned that, you mentioned the Gmail part of it or email part of it.
- 24:48August twenty nine, Google launched its Duet AI for Google Workspace. Ah,
- 24:52now what's that going to be? And well, no, I was
- 24:56also going to mention because you just mentioned skynet. I was about to say
- 25:00as of the recording August twenty ninth, which is today. Today is the
- 25:03day that Skynet becomes self aware in the movie. Oh oh that's right.
- 25:08Yeah, that's what I've been trying to say. I've been trying to jump
- 25:11that in there, like, hey, happy happy Skynet becoming self aware day.
- 25:15Yeah, that's right for Terminator fans, I no idea, are they
- 25:18making another Terminator movie making? Wait, I swear I saw it. See
- 25:23that's the thing with AI, you don't know anymore. I saw it an
- 25:27ad on YouTube and it said it had John Cena in it. It had
- 25:32Schwartzenegger in it, and I thought, okay, I thought he was done
- 25:34with this. So how do you know if it's real or not? Well,
- 25:38because they can do it with AI. I mean, look at this
- 25:41picture I'm posting in Chawer here. We can post this to this. This
- 25:44picture just got generated. This. There's a really fun Facebook group that I'm
- 25:48on actually called Cursed AI, and it's just pictures of things. This is
- 25:52Tupac. Tupac going to the beach to enjoying going to the beach to enjoy
- 25:56ice cream. That is AI. Well, I mean Ita does, but
- 26:02not well, I mean a little bit. Maybe Sam is yeah, yeah,
- 26:06like but yeah that looks wrong, but yeah it does, it does,
- 26:10it does. But I'm just saying like, this is this is what
- 26:12AI can generate. If you're on Facebook, go look up Cursed AI and
- 26:17join it. It's funny. It's just funny because it's got some crazy photos
- 26:21on it. All right, listen, we gotta take a break. We
- 26:22come back brand new screens from Samsung. If you're thinking about getting a new
- 26:26screen for outdoor, Slick, you might want this, you know, maybe
- 26:30you could talk to the powers it be. It's something for an outdoor thing,
- 26:33would be great, something new for your desktop. Although my experience with
- 26:38the lower end model wasn't the entirely we'll talk about that when we come back.
- 26:42I'm Andy Taylor, I'm sean to Weird, Oh, I'm Slick,
- 26:47and I'm justin. Find us on the internet at tech talk radio dot com.
- 26:49We'll be right back and now back to tech talk radio. We've been
- 26:55talking about AI. Yeah, but what happens if you need to rely on
- 26:57AI in an emergency? There was an article written that says, don't ask
- 27:02Siri or Alexa for CPR instructions. Really, why what are they saying?
- 27:07Most of them will give you incorrect data. None of them told you to
- 27:11call nine on one, Oh my god, And they just basically say,
- 27:14don't rely on. To test the efficiency the efficacy of the project, they
- 27:18asked eight CPR instructural questions the four major AI assistant programs. Thirty four percent
- 27:23of them provided verbal or textual instructions, while twelve percent only offered verbal answers.
- 27:29Less than a third of those responses suggested calling any type of emergency service.
- 27:33Oh, they kind of left that one out, didn't they. If
- 27:36somebody's calling, hey, how do I perform CPR? You would think the
- 27:37first thing you would say was call nine one one. Yeah, picked them
- 27:41on, faon stomach, jump on back, so you know, just relying
- 27:47on you know, I get it, I get it right. It's an
- 27:48emergency. Some people don't know what to do. So the first thing to
- 27:52think is, let's ask hey, Siri how to do CPR or Heimlich maneuver
- 27:56or anything like that. And my phone just lit up. It's it's listening
- 27:59to me now. I was working for a large radio group here in Arizona.
- 28:04Actually there were worldwide, and it was funny because answer, yeah,
- 28:11he gave me. It gave me how to do the hybrepreneuver. Oh my
- 28:14lord, bend over a chair. Anyway, I was working working for a
- 28:18large radio group and we had started using AI Voice AI, which I still
- 28:22have credits and we've we've used it once in a while just for fun,
- 28:27and it basically I talked into a microphone and it's a voice of celebrity coming
- 28:30out. Some of them are good. You have to voice kind of like
- 28:33with that celebrity, and we featured that on the show. We actually got
- 28:37an email from corporate saying no more, no use of any AI artificial intelligence
- 28:45voice on the radio, that we couldn't do it because they were concerned of
- 28:51the legalities. They were concerned of somebody that provided this voice, that voice
- 28:56was being manipulated could then come and sue for royals or sue for copyright because
- 29:02it's or superslide. It's so right now like uncharted territory. You know the
- 29:10fact that you can have Arnold Schwarzenegger say I support this candidate or I support
- 29:15this product, does it does not mean it's right. And just imagine what
- 29:21this next presidential election is going to look like uh. And it's scary because
- 29:25a lot of AI is being used. I mean, all right, let's
- 29:26let's we don't want to go down this road. But let's face it,
- 29:30the photos that came out or the photo that came out, the booking photos
- 29:33of you know, the Giuliani and President Trump in the whole bit, have
- 29:37already been used by AI to recreate different settings. And you know, I
- 29:41think when we get closer to the election, we'll probably see people using this.
- 29:45So you have to take everything with a grain of salt seriously, even
- 29:52more than a grain of salt. Yeah, even you to be Salt Bay.
- 29:56Salt Bay, that's famous meme. Yes, And it's kind of scary.
- 30:02Now. We also used AI to do a transcript last week. So
- 30:07within Zoom there are different AI of what they you want to call them,
- 30:12I guess programs or whatnot that you can utilize and like apps, And so
- 30:18we had to do it and it was so far off. It would say
- 30:22it knew our voices, it knew, but it would sometimes say, oh,
- 30:27Justin talked about this, when it was me talking about it or Sean
- 30:32talked about this. Some companies are now clamping down on the use of zoom
- 30:36Ai transcripts because they're saying they're getting it wrong. Yeah, so it was
- 30:41Microsoft teams. I mean they're not oh yeah teams. I've seen many government
- 30:45meetings where the words that were being written at the bottom of the screen was
- 30:49nowhere near what the official government person was saying. It was misspelling names and
- 30:56calling them, calling the representatives different names. Was it was not good.
- 31:02Now, Sean, you've you've kind of run into that too, they're kind
- 31:03of saying. Just from a security standpoint, right, especially in there are
- 31:10restrictions on because we're also a research institution, so there are major restrictions on
- 31:18what platforms could be used for conferencing when dealing with sensitive material. So it's
- 31:25you know, on a camp in a campus setting, right, you have
- 31:26your typical they use chat GPT to write to write their articles that that typical
- 31:32type of stuff too. So it'll be interesting to see how the students react
- 31:34to it and how it goes forward. And I'm interested to see how it
- 31:37goes right, But it's just from a security standpoint, the university is nervous
- 31:44about it and where that data is going and what it's being collected for.
- 31:48So well, not only that, you're you're generally giving them access so that
- 31:52you've got a third party provider that is capturing that transcript. You're giving them
- 31:56access to your Zoom account. They become a member of that conversation. And
- 32:00that's that's what made me feel a little uneasy when we did the transcript last
- 32:05week. I already got ahead and deleted the app and not using it anymore
- 32:09after that experience. But you're you're giving them access to that, and that's
- 32:14that's You've got to be really careful of that, you know. And it's
- 32:17just sucking up more information and sticking into somebody's database as well, exactly.
- 32:22And all this data we're putting out there. You know, we've worried about
- 32:24stuff that we've we've typed. Well, now it's audio, it's voices,
- 32:30it's you know, you you wonder why you know Hollywood's on strike some of
- 32:32these actors are you know, they know they they're not stupid. They know
- 32:37that. We've we've even seen images that have been used where they've used AI
- 32:43to create people in like a sports environment in the stands and then you look
- 32:47at them and it's like mid journey where their arm is all whacked out or
- 32:51or you know, their faces is whacky, but it doesn't matter because they're
- 32:54kind of blurred out, but they're still in the background, you know.
- 32:59So that's made people very nervous when we talk about the who owns the rights?
- 33:06Right? With all this AI actor stuff? Right, who owns if
- 33:09a studio generates content with an actor's likeness or their voice, who owns the
- 33:15rights? Yeah? Does an act like does an actor own the rights for
- 33:19their own for their like they should own the rights for their likeness and their
- 33:22video, right, But if it's not generated by them, is it technically
- 33:28theirs? So with all this AI generated stuff, who can come back and
- 33:34claim copyright over something? So say I create a piece of art for my
- 33:38dungeon and dragon Stream and I make huge months of money on it. Can
- 33:44anybody that introduced a piece of art to that AI generation come now and claim
- 33:50copyright on any small piece of my content? Can get it taken down or
- 33:53do anything? Right, So it's like, it's not just the content,
- 33:59it's the who owns the content? Yeah, the big question too. Recently
- 34:04Patrick Swayzey, who's been you know who passed on some years ago. They're
- 34:07doing a Dirty Dancing kind of a direct sequel. There was a sequel,
- 34:12but it was pretty bad. But this will be with Jennifer Gray and the
- 34:15whole bit. Well, we know Jerry Orbox no longer with us, who
- 34:17was in that, but Patrick Swayzey no longer with us, and apparently they
- 34:21there have been a lot of talk about them, you know, contacting the
- 34:23family and supposedly he's going to be in it in some way or another,
- 34:29whether it be like they did with Ghostbusters, which was one of the best
- 34:32AI recreations CGI having you know, Harold Ramos in the film after he was
- 34:38dead. It was one of the best, far far better than the selvester
- 34:43stallone One where they recreated him in a younger form in that Superhero film that
- 34:47was on Netflix, which came out about a year or two years ago.
- 34:52Yeah, or even Luke Skywalker in The Mandalorian. The guy that created the
- 34:57other guy that created it on YouTube was much better, and he created using
- 35:01deep fake technology, you know, the one they used. The Lucas arts
- 35:06didn't look that great. No, you know, so I don't I don't
- 35:08know, all right, speaking of how things look, Uh, if you've
- 35:13been thinking about getting yourself a bigger TV. Samsung is making that possible now
- 35:19on television on Fox eleven this past last week, I showed a couple of
- 35:23cool ideas from Samsung. Number one, Samsung has the Disney frame justin you
- 35:29probably love this because your your son loves Disney, right, my wife does?
- 35:35Yeah? Yeah, Sean, you like Disney, don't you. Yeah.
- 35:37I'm in partial, I'm not. I don't pray to the House of
- 35:40Mouse. You don't pray the house of Mouse. I bow to the House
- 35:45of Him, though, ye do. Oh Marvel, yes, well this
- 35:49is this is kind of cool because Marvel, of course is the Disney Disney
- 35:52property, right so I'm afraid so so they've they've celebrated with this one hundred
- 35:57anniversary of Disney by putting out what they call the frame. It's available in
- 36:00fifty five, sixty five, and seventy five inch. It's a bezel frame
- 36:04that has you know it brushed aluminum. S is you know, Disney one
- 36:07hundred on it and Samsung provides the four k Q a QLED on that or
- 36:14OLED. But either way, when the power when the TV powers off,
- 36:19what you get is a hundred different images that will rotate as a piece of
- 36:22art. So you have this black canvas you know on your wall that when
- 36:29you turn it off, it's the TV. Oh yeah, there was there's
- 36:30TV there. Well, now it's a piece of art because it's showing you
- 36:34scenes from Marvel, Disney, Pixar, Star Wars, all of that that
- 36:38can be on that screen. You can't have your favorites in the whole bit.
- 36:42You get up to one hundred of them. It's starting price, I
- 36:45believe for the fifty five inches around sixteen ninety nine, which you know you
- 36:50can buy a TV really cheap now, so I don't know, you know,
- 36:52if it's worth it for that, But then they they've added do you
- 36:57guys remember last It was last year May of last year. I took a
- 37:00look at the Samsung forty nine inch big TV, the big screen for your
- 37:05desktop, the monitor, and I didn't have good luck because they're very fragile.
- 37:09The first one we got I bought from Amazon and I showed it on
- 37:14TV, but the side there was a little split on the side, so
- 37:19you had a little rays coming out. So I took it back. I
- 37:22actually set it back to Amazon, went and bought one at best Buy.
- 37:25I got it home, got it all set up and it looked like somebody
- 37:29had taken a baseball bat or a baseball and threw it at the screen,
- 37:32and it was oh my gosh. Yeah, So I took it back.
- 37:35I got my money back, and that was it. I ended up settling
- 37:37with a thirty nine inch television a monitor for my desktop. Well, Samsung
- 37:44has now announced a fifty seven inch curved screen for your desktop, which replicates
- 37:52two four KSE screen side by side. So if you're looking to enhance your
- 37:57desktop, imagine fifty seven inches on your desk top. That is ridiculous.
- 38:04I mean, I know a guy that I used to work with, he
- 38:06uses I think it's like a sixty inch monitor. I mean really, he
- 38:10he like lays back in his chair like I'm talking about like Matrix style you
- 38:14know, or whatever, or like more like a more like Wally, you
- 38:17know, when they all laying him back in their recliner and he's just looking
- 38:20up at this massive monitor. His monitor resolution is insane. Wow, but
- 38:24expensive. Now with that, now here's the one I know Sean wants and
- 38:29slick and justin. An eighty five inch model called the Samsung Terrace was just
- 38:35announced today. It's an upgraded Neo QLED panel weather resistant Samsung Gaming Hub and
- 38:44it can be basically put outside, so it comes in encased in this you
- 38:49know, this this material that gives it that weather resistance. And it's available
- 38:53for pre order through September tenth for a measly price of nineteen thousand, nine
- 39:00hundred and ninety nine dollars. Did you sam nineteen thousand dollars? So that
- 39:07matters for the terrorists? Full Sun Samsung Neo co q Led four K.
- 39:13Yeah, would you what do you have in your your screening room now?
- 39:17Sean? The screen is one hundred and twenty two inch projector. It's a
- 39:24project projection. But that's not not an actual TV. It's but does it
- 39:29matter? It is four K? It is four K? But does it
- 39:32matter? I mean, does it matter that it's a projection versus having a
- 39:36screen there on the way? Yeah, totally. Really, I'm sure gotta
- 39:39be dark. It's gotta be dark if you're gonna watch a projector. Yeah.
- 39:43Yeah, And I mean I've got it set up with the lights and
- 39:45stuff, and I enjoy it. And it's fun to watch football games and
- 39:50you know, New Year's and stuff like that down here, and you know,
- 39:52when I'm sitting at my computer, I'll have something else on the TV
- 39:55if I'm watching something, or if I'm watching a stream or something, and
- 39:58I don't want to take up either, honors. It's just right there and
- 40:01I'm twenty five feet away from it. Maybe, Yeah, it's about twenty
- 40:06five feet from here to the screen. So if it's big enough to see
- 40:08everything, and I put movies on it all time. If one of our
- 40:12listeners was to ask you, Sean, do I really need four K?
- 40:15What's the difference between say they've got a ten ADP monitor versus a four K.
- 40:20What are they going to see with the four K? So so yeah,
- 40:24I mean that that's complicated. That's a loaded question because yeah, you
- 40:28can have four K, but if it's not anything above sixty herds, it's
- 40:31going to be the same. Your experience is gonna be the same. Right,
- 40:36I really want the higher refresh rate, but you don't need You don't
- 40:39need four K, right, But it's just like you didn't need ten eighty
- 40:45when seven twenty was a standard. It's just getting cheaper to get the higher
- 40:50quality. So just wait. But if I don't have cable, I'm running
- 40:52off an antenna do I get a better picture if I'm able to get so
- 40:58there are I think there's only one or two ATS three point ATSC three point
- 41:02a stations out there right now. No, no, no, no,
- 41:05no, no, no, they are way more than that. Now,
- 41:07yeah, slicks, they actually push This is the standard actually out now.
- 41:10I don't standards been out now. I've been trying to follow this into my
- 41:15knowledge. There like three maybe four go ahead, which is the guy that
- 41:20just got done working in television for the last fifteen years. This guy,
- 41:23Wait, do you get fired again? The adults are talking now. No,
- 41:27there are plenty of ATSC three stations out there right now, but they
- 41:30are not all broadcasting ten ADP or not even I don't even think any of
- 41:35them are broadcasting four K. But they are upgrading to ten ADP because most
- 41:39stations had been always broadcasting in seven twenty P because that's where they get their
- 41:44feed from. So by going ATSC three, you are getting ten ADP.
- 41:47So it definitely looks better. Still not four K, but it definitely looks
- 41:52better. All Right, we gonta take another quick break. We come back
- 41:53with more of tech Talk Radio. We're gonna talk a little bit about Apple's
- 41:57announcement, and we want to find out about Balder's Gate. When we did
- 42:00the show last week, the game had just come out, and so now
- 42:05you guys have had some time with it. We're gonna see if I should
- 42:07really, you know, drop a few bucks and give it a shot.
- 42:10We'll be back to the more of tech Talk Radio. I'm Andy Taylor,
- 42:13I'm Seanda Weird. I'm slicking. I believe Tupac loves ice cream cool.
- 42:20I'm justin and you can find us on x and at tech Talk Radio.
- 42:24Sure, now back to TikTok Radio. So I did a little Google food
- 42:30during the break and looked up the ATSC standard, kind of a list of
- 42:35stations that are on the air. It's about one hundred and twelve active stations
- 42:38using the standard. Wanted to clarify that you don't have. It's not you
- 42:44don't have to do four K right. It's four K cabable because the bandmits
- 42:47is there. But most are still doing ten ADP seven twenty four. There
- 42:52are probably stations that are all still doing four ADI right. Just it's just
- 42:55digital. So Slick, you've been looking a little into this. Is this
- 43:00something that you think we're going to see here in southern Arizona eventually. I
- 43:05mean I was talking to one television station, step, the local television station
- 43:09here, and he said, they've been talking about it and when they're going
- 43:13to implement it and stuff, because I'm looking at those extra available channels that
- 43:16they need some content for. There you go, that could create ground for
- 43:22content, couldn't. I mean, we have an antenna at the TV here
- 43:24at the station, and sometimes I'll just turn off. We got we got
- 43:28a dish, we got direct I'll just turn off and watch the ANTENNI stuff
- 43:31and I'll go, oh, look a crime channel or yeah, there's like
- 43:35there's like like sixty some channels over the air for free, even even some
- 43:38of the shopping channels. I mean, I've been saying it for I mean,
- 43:42I worked in news for over a decade, right, and I've been
- 43:45saying the math is gonna get better. They're gonna be able to cram more
- 43:47content in the same amount of space. So yeah, yeah, and not
- 43:51only in the more channels. ATS three. ATSC three is not just for
- 43:55four K and you know, uh surround sound and built into the show.
- 44:00It's also things that's going to help you do. It's going to help them
- 44:02do like advertising where they'll be able to you know, if they're talking about
- 44:07a product on the TV program, they could have a lower third come across
- 44:10the screen. I know it's gonna be annoying, but I'm just giving an
- 44:14example. They could have a lower third with like a QR codes, then
- 44:15here scan this to find this product. Or you could have your phone that's
- 44:20tied to your smart TV. So if you're watching a program and they're like,
- 44:22hey, vote now on you know, American Idol or whatever, your
- 44:27phone is already hooked into it and it's already pulled up the page saying hey,
- 44:30we know you're watching American Idol, here's your voting page for you.
- 44:34You know. So like they're gonna put all kinds of extra content within embedded
- 44:38within ATSC three. It's not just simply for the broadcast quality. I remember
- 44:43a few years ago, justin you were at an airport and you were playing
- 44:45trivia games at the airport lounge on the television screens. I'm thinking, Wow,
- 44:51you could actually have an interactive channel, couldn't you, where you could
- 44:54play trivia against people all over, you know, whether in your community or
- 45:00all over the world, which you know, would that would be kind of
- 45:02a neat implementation of it learning, it'd be great for education. So if
- 45:07you wanted to do something like that the kids wanted to learn, that's uh,
- 45:12that's pretty neat too real quickly, we do want to touch upon this.
- 45:15It's been announced September twelfth will be Apple's next big event. If you
- 45:20go to the Apple event page, just go to Apple dot com, you'll
- 45:22see the link. Uh, we're pretty sure that it's gonna be the iPhone
- 45:25fifteen gonna be announced. The big changes, of course, a more universal
- 45:30power jack the uh C USBC w Yeah, people are saying, you know,
- 45:36it's about time, which now, sean, if I'm not correct,
- 45:40not mistaken, that means you can actually have a faster charger or more powerful
- 45:45charger to charge a device. Yeah. This the USBC standard just allows for
- 45:50higher bandwidth data transfer even more. You know, it's it's it's just a
- 45:53good comparison would be like USB two, USB two point zero, USB three,
- 45:57right, the data transfer speeds are there, carry more data, it
- 46:01can carry more more power. It's rated for higher higher volta, higher voltages
- 46:08and wattages. So it's just you can charge faster it's just generally going to
- 46:14be easier and more convenient. So wait, I'm sorry, please explain.
- 46:17I'm truly actually wondering about this. I thought Thunderbolt was faster than USBC.
- 46:23I mean, I know it used a type of it was like the exact
- 46:28opposite of USBC in terms of the connector, but it still was USBC standard.
- 46:31I thought Thunderbolt four and USBC are merging. I'm pretty sure they're merging
- 46:37into the same standard. Oh okay, yeah, so USBC Thunderbolt, you
- 46:42know, it went to Thunderbolt three than Thunderbolt four went to the USBC style
- 46:45connector, and then I have to look it up. But I'm fairly starting
- 46:51those two. Those two technologies are just getting smashed in. You know what
- 46:53I like. I like about it. It's USBC thunder the fingerprint I D
- 46:59drive by that, you know, basically story your fingerprint. You could authenticate
- 47:04your phone that way, so you can actually have a little better authentication,
- 47:07different different methods for authentication with that kind of a key system, which you
- 47:14know, I've got a key and I've been playing around with it. I
- 47:15just haven't really fully implemented it yet, but it's a it's another way to
- 47:20add a layer of security to that. So I just wanted to mention that
- 47:23September twelfth again and go to Apple dot com to check that out. Now,
- 47:27you guys have been playing Balder's Gate and I'm actually three three Maybe this
- 47:32is time I invested in played a game because it's worth it. First,
- 47:38the first off, I just gonna say, Andy, how many times have
- 47:40you said that in the past, like, oh, hey, I'm gonna
- 47:43get this game, and you never did. Well. I wanted to get
- 47:44you know, I wanted to do the Microsoft Game Pass and get flights him.
- 47:49But now I think I want to play you know what I have been
- 47:51playing lately, Solitaire that comes with Windows I really have. I'll get I'll
- 47:55be at work and I'll have like, you know, maybe twenty minutes left
- 47:59in the shift. Then I'll just fire up Solitaire while I'm playing my music.
- 48:02And I'm thinking, you know, this is kind of relacting, kind
- 48:05of fun too. Yeah, So I'm thinking, okay, maybe maybe it's
- 48:12time to try Balders a little bit more competent Saltaire. Okay, yeah,
- 48:16so just real quick, Balder's Gate. I'll let Sean dive into the details.
- 48:21Okay, but Balder's Gate is a series of games that have come out
- 48:24since I want to say the early nineties was the original one. This is
- 48:28basically Dungeons and Dragons, and we've all pretty much kind of heard about Dungeon
- 48:32Dragons. Usually it's a bunch of guys sitting around a table with you know,
- 48:37a bunch of geeks with a bunch of mountain dew and fundians, and
- 48:40you know, one guy's telling a story and the other guys are like,
- 48:43well, I want to go and I want to go over here and use
- 48:45magic missile on this guy. Okay, Basically that's Dungeon Dragons, right.
- 48:50This is Dungeon Dragons and a video game format. You are doing all the
- 48:54stuff you would normally do in Dungeon Dragons, like dice mechanics. You're rolling
- 48:58a dice to see if you can intimidate somebody with your with what you want
- 49:02to say to them. You have to roll a dice and hit a certain
- 49:05number. This is all done within a video game. But what makes Balder's
- 49:08Gate special is the cut scenes. There's over two hundred and seventy hours.
- 49:14I believe Sean correct me if I'm wrong. Of cut scenes alone, not
- 49:19to mention the whole game itself. So, Sean, what's got some more
- 49:22details about Gate? So Balder's Gate is just Balder's Gate is a city in
- 49:30the Forgotten Realms of fay Run, which is the world of Dungeon's Dragons.
- 49:34There are many worlds, but this is the one that it lives in,
- 49:37and it's it's like Justin said, they created one of the first games in
- 49:40nineteen eighty eight and it's been built on and built on build the premises,
- 49:44there's a storyline. I'm not going to go into into it because the spoilers.
- 49:46The premises. You you pick a pick a class rogue with there's a
- 49:51bunch. It's very fantasy based game, okay, and you essentially run around
- 49:57in the world. Is very open world, and you interact with stuff in
- 50:00the world. Now to interact with stuff, you click on it and then
- 50:04it's like, all right, you're talking to this person, but now you
- 50:07need to learn something about the story. You can choose, well, do
- 50:09you want to intimidate them to get the answer or do you want to try
- 50:13and be charismatic and get the answer. Do you want to flirt with them?
- 50:16Do you or do you just want to murder them. Right, you
- 50:20have all these options. Now. The greatest part about this game is that
- 50:24I listed four options there right right, So if I pick option A,
- 50:30my story now branches off into a bunch of different directions. If I pick
- 50:34Option B, it branches off into other directions based on those characters have relationships
- 50:42with other characters in the game, or if you pick up items early on
- 50:46in the game, later on, those items can come back to help you
- 50:50or be bad for you. Because say I murdered this person and stole their
- 50:52wallet, Well, that wallet just happened to be the you know, the
- 50:58son of the king, and I'm wearing his crown. I think that would
- 51:01be a prince. Sure, I'm sorry, just had to throw that in
- 51:07there, right, But like, there are kind of spunches to your actions,
- 51:14and I will tell you that there are choices that I made it earlier.
- 51:16I'm about forty hours and play time right now. There are choices that
- 51:21I made at the very beginning, and I'm like, oh, that's really
- 51:24that's really impacting me here, and I should not have made that decision,
- 51:29or I guess I have to live with it. And I'm fighting this guy
- 51:30because he's mad I killed his daughter. I have done the best thing ever,
- 51:35and is right before I go to make a decision, right before I
- 51:37talk to somebody in the game, or right before I get in a fight,
- 51:39I save the game. And that way, if I mess up and
- 51:43I make the wrong decision, I can just go back and reload it and
- 51:45try it again. I cannot count how many times I've had to reload the
- 51:50game. Now, one thing I should quickly say, and I didn't realize
- 51:53this is there also, like Sean had mentioned, there's relationships in the game,
- 51:58right, platonic and all, so another of relationships, yeah, yeah,
- 52:06yeah. And there was a cut scene that was playing out and Eric
- 52:09was like, hey, what are you watching? What are you playing?
- 52:13Game? And this this cut scene was like, hey, I want to
- 52:15take you in the back room and do some things to you. And it
- 52:17did it and they were fully nude in the game, fully dude. I'm
- 52:22like, and I had to slam my laptop shut because I was like,
- 52:27oh god, no, you don't need to see that. He's like,
- 52:29what was that? And I'm like it was a problem with the game.
- 52:31Somebody the doctor. It was the character generation is very abruptive. Let's just
- 52:37put it that way, it is very everything. I don't want to play
- 52:43every aspect. I'm not going to play that every aspect. Gonna go back
- 52:45to my solitaires, g rated all. We're gonna take it. In the
- 52:49quick break, we come back with more of Tech Talk Radio. I'm Andy
- 52:52Taylor, I'm Sean Weird Click, and I'm justin Go get Bolter's Gate three
- 52:57you love it and the Tech Talk Radio They got a little story for you
- 53:02guys. And this could serve as a word of warning. I almost got
- 53:06taken, almost fell into the trap of losing access to my Instagram account.
- 53:10Now I've got to the point where it's still frustrating now being on Facebook,
- 53:16Instagram, Snapchat because there are nothing but bots out there. Because we have
- 53:21the show and because we do the TV stuff and the other radio stuff.
- 53:23I'm pretty open to anybody that wants to connect because I think maybe they listen
- 53:28a whole bit. And I got somebody that liked one of my comments about
- 53:34a week and a half ago and it was Arizona something right, Okay,
- 53:38And I thought, oh, Arizona. That means they're in Arizona. Now
- 53:42I got a friend request, you know, connection, I checked out the
- 53:44profile before I accepted it, and I like, wow, a family.
- 53:47It's a great family. Look at this this person they have a daughter that
- 53:52is a special needs child, and I thought they were doing a lot of
- 53:54things with it that I thought, this is really cool. This is neat.
- 53:58So yes, I accept that. Then the user sends me a direct
- 54:00message and they said, hey, I'm hoping you would follow my fashion page
- 54:07on Instagram. I'm like, oh cool. And I'm looking on her profile
- 54:09and I'm not seeing a link to another page like we have on mine.
- 54:15It could be a link to you know, tech talk radio or whatnot.
- 54:17And I said, yeah, sure, and this is conserved as a bit
- 54:21of warning here. She sends me, here's the link. Here's the link,
- 54:25don't share it, And I thought, what the heck? And it
- 54:30was a link back to Instagram and it said in that message it said email
- 54:35me this link. I just sent you to this email address at Gmail account.
- 54:38So I'm like, that's weird. I'm looking at the link and I'm
- 54:42reading it and go something about don't share. It doesn't seem right. So
- 54:45I went onto Google and I typed in, you know Instagram link, don't
- 54:50share it. Sure enough, it's a scam. So what happens is you
- 54:52take this link, you email it back to her. She then has the
- 54:55ability to request your user name, password or get all that info and be
- 55:00able to access the account, lock me out and the whole bit. And
- 55:04it's a scam that's going around and it turns out it's just a big scam
- 55:07account. You gotta be really careful about these scam accounts. Don't click on
- 55:09the links that are saying this person die. It's another way for you to
- 55:15spread this stuff. So just be really careful on social media and just a
- 55:19good way to be safe. All right, that's it for this week's Tech
- 55:21Talk Radio. I'm Andy Taylor, I'm Sean, I'm Click No Way I,
- 55:27and I'm Justin. Let me find us on the web at tech talk
- 55:29radio dot com. Have yourselves a great week.
