- 0:00Speaker 1: Today's guest is a driver. He's an operator. He's a chauffeur,
- 0:05Speaker 1: you feel me?
- 0:06Speaker 2: A chauffeur.
- 0:07Speaker 1: I met him in South Carolina when I was a
- 0:10Speaker 1: recipient of his services. He is a one of one.
- 0:15Speaker 1: I'm grateful to learn all about the world of chauffeuring.
- 0:18Speaker 1: Today's guest is Stan, the chauffeur. Shine on me.
- 0:26Speaker 2: And I will find a way.
- 0:39Speaker 1: Yeah, like usually like this is good. Right there?
- 0:40Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 0:41Speaker 3: Okay. This way it's not too static.
- 0:43Speaker 1: But now if you get locked up like this, then
- 0:45Speaker 1: you can move this. You know what I'm saying?
- 0:47Speaker 2: I'll loosen up and wiggle around.
- 0:50Speaker 1: Whatever you got to do. I'm that Muhammad Al listener, baby.
- 0:53Speaker 1: You feel me, dog?
- 0:54Speaker 3: I hear it all.
- 0:55Speaker 1: I don't miss a beat.
- 0:57Speaker 2: No, and then, you know, as emotions go, you know,
- 1:00Speaker 2: you move around and wiggle the neck. You know, you
- 1:02Speaker 2: laugh here and there.
- 1:03Speaker 1: Yeah, you got different pieces inside of you, bro.
- 1:05Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:05Speaker 1: And that's how it works, man. Stan Boilu.
- 1:12Speaker 2: Boye.
- 1:13Speaker 1: Damn.
- 1:13Speaker 2: Well, I don't know how y'all say it in Louisiana,
- 1:17Speaker 2: but in New York, all my life, it's been Boye.
- 1:21Speaker 1: Boye, son. Boye, dog. I like that, bro.
- 1:26Speaker 2: I wonder what it means.
- 1:27Speaker 1: Probably beautiful or something.
- 1:28Speaker 2: It means a.
- 1:28Speaker 3: Beautiful place or thing.
- 1:29Speaker 1: Ooh, that's it.
- 1:30Speaker 3: And that's part of the BS that I tell women.
- 1:32Speaker 1: You do?
- 1:33Speaker 3: Because my name, Stanford, Stanford means a hard rock or stone.
- 1:37Speaker 2: Boye means a beautiful place or thing. So like I
- 1:40Speaker 2: tell them, within that hard rock, if you can get inside.
- 1:43Speaker 3: Of it, it's a beautiful place.
- 1:46Speaker 1: It's like a gemstone in there.
- 1:47Speaker 2: Yeah, it's some real bullshit to lay on them though.
- 1:50Speaker 1: Oh, you got to lay it on like that. That's
- 1:52Speaker 1: how you do it, man. Well, one thing I noticed
- 1:54Speaker 1: about you right when I met you, because you and
- 1:55Speaker 1: I met, I went to a South Carolina football game
- 1:58Speaker 1: a few weeks ago. Yes. And you're a chauffeur.
- 2:00Speaker 3: Yes.
- 2:00Speaker 1: And so you pulled right up on us and immediately
- 2:03Speaker 1: we were like, wow.
- 2:04Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 2:05Speaker 1: This something is going on here. This guy got loose,
- 2:09Speaker 1: you know?
- 2:10Speaker 2: We were laughing immediately.
- 2:11Speaker 1: Oh. We were having so much fun, man. And is
- 2:14Speaker 1: that where you're from, South Carolina?
- 2:16Speaker 2: No, I'm from the Bronx.
- 2:17Speaker 1: Ooh.
- 2:18Speaker 2: I love the Bronx.
- 2:19Speaker 1: So you started out there. What happened? Like, how did
- 2:21Speaker 1: it go? Was your family was there? What was y'all
- 2:23Speaker 1: doing over there?
- 2:25Speaker 2: Well, in 95, my first wife left me and she
- 2:28Speaker 2: went to Charlotte. Her mother was an IBM exec, and
- 2:31Speaker 2: I used to go to see my daughter once a month.
- 2:33Speaker 2: That kind of got to be expensive. So in 97,
- 2:37Speaker 2: I literally walked off the corner in the Bronx, got
- 2:41Speaker 2: on the Greyhound bus, and went to Charlotte because my
- 2:45Speaker 2: first ex-wife's mother told me that if I was serious
- 2:49Speaker 2: about changing my life, she would give me a shot.
- 2:52Speaker 3: I stayed with her.
- 2:53Speaker 2: Briefly until we had a conversation where she told me that...
- 3:01Speaker 2: I'm supposed to be giving her something more than just
- 3:03Speaker 2: rent while I'm staying in her house.
- 3:05Speaker 1: Oh, nuh-uh. She was looking for a little bit of limb, huh?
- 3:07Speaker 3: And I asked her, what are you talking about? Because
- 3:10Speaker 3: I do your grass.
- 3:11Speaker 2: I do the laundry. I don't bring anybody here. What
- 3:14Speaker 2: more do you want? She told me I was a
- 3:17Speaker 2: man and that she's pretty sure I could figure this
- 3:19Speaker 2: one out.
- 3:19Speaker 1: Damn, she wanted that interior design.
- 3:21Speaker 2: I said to her, are you talking about the bonus plan?
- 3:26Speaker 2: And she said to me, whatever you want to call it.
- 3:29Speaker 2: And she said to me, it's my house, my rules.
- 3:31Speaker 2: If you don't like it, find another place to stay.
- 3:33Speaker 2: I moved out the next morning, and I've been off
- 3:36Speaker 2: and running since.
- 3:37Speaker 1: Dang. That's it. You said, look, I'm going to make
- 3:41Speaker 1: my own choice for me. Why didn't you make that choice, though?
- 3:43Speaker 1: Was there something about it that just wasn't in your
- 3:46Speaker 1: DNA to say, I'm going to provide that for you ladies?
- 3:49Speaker 2: No.
- 3:50Speaker 3: First of all, that was my first wife's mother.
- 3:53Speaker 1: Oh, I didn't realize.
- 3:54Speaker 2: My first wife and I are really still cool. And
- 3:57Speaker 2: that's my oldest daughter's mother.
- 3:59Speaker 1: Oh, I didn't realize. Yeah, I think I missed a
- 4:00Speaker 1: beat of the story.
- 4:01Speaker 2: Yeah, nah. First ex-wife's mother.
- 4:04Speaker 1: Oof.
- 4:05Speaker 2: And yes, my daughter knows. Yeah. My ex-mother-in-law and I,
- 4:09Speaker 2: we have survived that.
- 4:12Speaker 3: We don't even think about that no more.
- 4:13Speaker 1: Oh, that's a speed bump, man. Was she using at
- 4:15Speaker 1: the time or something?
- 4:16Speaker 2: Well, we all potheads. Yeah, okay.
- 4:19Speaker 1: So you never know. If somebody gets a little bit high,
- 4:21Speaker 1: you don't know who you fucking.
- 4:23Speaker 3: Man, dog, not me.
- 4:25Speaker 1: Oh, yeah, you're right about that, bro. Like, shit, boy,
- 4:28Speaker 1: you're right.
- 4:28Speaker 3: About that, bro.
- 4:29Speaker 2: No, because I knew you'll see things like that will
- 4:34Speaker 2: surface back later, and my daughter might have resented that.
- 4:40Speaker 1: You made the choice that you had to make as
- 4:41Speaker 1: a man.
- 4:42Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 4:43Speaker 1: All right, so you're down there in Charlotte. You end
- 4:45Speaker 1: up down there. You head down there. You live with
- 4:47Speaker 1: your ex-wife. Her mother.
- 4:49Speaker 2: Briefly.
- 4:50Speaker 1: And stuff gets a little wild down there. And you're like, man,
- 4:52Speaker 1: I got to get back out in the world. This
- 4:54Speaker 1: ain't the spot for me.
- 4:55Speaker 2: Yes.
- 4:56Speaker 1: Was that it? And is that when you started chauffeuring
- 4:58Speaker 1: down there in Charlotte? When did you get behind the wheel,
- 5:02Speaker 1: big dog?
- 5:03Speaker 2: I started chauffeuring in 99. As a result, I was
- 5:09Speaker 2: driving a truck on a highway one day going to Raleigh.
- 5:13Speaker 2: And a guy in an SUV kept riding next to me.
- 5:18Speaker 2: I'm trying to get my attention coming from the Bronx
- 5:21Speaker 2: with that Bronx mentality. I'm thinking it's a, it's a hijacking.
- 5:24Speaker 2: So I started dipping the truck towards his SUV and
- 5:28Speaker 2: then the window lowered down. And he said to me,
- 5:30Speaker 2: he wanted to talk to me about a driving job.
- 5:32Speaker 2: We got off the next exit. His name was Shane.
- 5:34Speaker 2: He was from Miami and he told me that he
- 5:37Speaker 2: needed a driver for his stretch navigator.
- 5:39Speaker 3: I had never driven a limo before.
- 5:42Speaker 2: I decided to take the opportunity to, And it gave
- 5:47Speaker 2: me a feeling, man.
- 5:50Speaker 3: And I've never looked back.
- 5:51Speaker 2: I mean, every guy wants to look good driving a
- 5:54Speaker 2: nice car, burning somebody else's gas, and getting paid for it. Woo!
- 6:01Speaker 3: And I really enjoy it. I mean, it is me now.
- 6:05Speaker 1: Oh, when you pull up, I was like, this is a,
- 6:08Speaker 1: it was just part, it was this ensemble, bro. It
- 6:10Speaker 1: wasn't like I was going with you, you were taking,
- 6:13Speaker 1: it was like, this is an adventure. You are welcome
- 6:16Speaker 1: to Stan-gan-istan, baby. You know what I'm saying? That's what
- 6:19Speaker 1: it felt like. I enjoyed myself that particular evening. Oh,
- 6:22Speaker 1: we had a great time, man. What are some of
- 6:25Speaker 1: the things with chauffeuring? Do you have a code of
- 6:27Speaker 1: ethics and conduct? What are some things you have to
- 6:29Speaker 1: remember as a chauffeur?
- 6:32Speaker 2: What I have to remember is, as a chauffeur, first
- 6:36Speaker 2: of all, it's not about you as a driver. Your
- 6:40Speaker 2: job is to make sure that your guests Have a
- 6:44Speaker 2: good night. They enjoy themselves. Safe driving. Great customer service.
- 6:49Speaker 2: You know, make sure they enjoy themselves. You know, if
- 6:53Speaker 2: you have a sprinter, make sure they know how to,
- 6:57Speaker 2: you know, work the music, the AC.
- 6:59Speaker 3: You have to do a lot of ear hustling.
- 7:01Speaker 2: You know, if you hear the women say something like
- 7:04Speaker 2: somebody has to go to the bathroom, you're supposed to
- 7:07Speaker 2: hit them. Hey, listen, group, we're going to make a
- 7:09Speaker 2: stop because I have to go to the bathroom.
- 7:11Speaker 1: Oh.
- 7:12Speaker 2: If you hear them say something like they're running out
- 7:14Speaker 2: of beer or they need some more soda or water,
- 7:17Speaker 2: then that's when I'll hit them with, hey, y'all, listen,
- 7:19Speaker 2: I'm going to stop at a convenience store because I.
- 7:21Speaker 3: Need a Mountain Dew.
- 7:22Speaker 2: I see.
- 7:22Speaker 1: Put it on you.
- 7:23Speaker 2: Bingo. You know, you always have to try to stay
- 7:26Speaker 2: a step ahead of them. Make sure that wherever the
- 7:30Speaker 2: venue is that they're going is safe for them. You
- 7:35Speaker 2: have that responsibility. And if you have women... And I'm
- 7:38Speaker 2: a male driver. I make sure that them women are safe.
- 7:41Speaker 2: I have seven sisters. But that particular evening that I
- 7:43Speaker 2: have those ladies, they are my sisters and my daughters.
- 7:46Speaker 1: Yeah, because people don't know when they're getting in with
- 7:49Speaker 1: a driver what their mentality is. What are some of
- 7:52Speaker 1: the worst things that passengers can do? What's the type
- 7:56Speaker 1: of shit that... Throw up.
- 7:59Speaker 3: Throw up in my vehicle. And what you talking about, vomit? Yes,
- 8:02Speaker 3: from being excessively drunk.
- 8:04Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 8:04Speaker 2: You know, I had a guy one night, he's hanging
- 8:07Speaker 2: out the window throwing up, and then I was in Charlotte,
- 8:10Speaker 2: and he asked me to pull over. I pulled over,
- 8:13Speaker 2: let him throw up. Another time, I had a group
- 8:15Speaker 2: that I was taking down to Orangeburg in a Sprinter
- 8:19Speaker 2: on a Monday.
- 8:20Speaker 3: No, excuse me.
- 8:20Speaker 2: It might have been about a Tuesday morning. I won't
- 8:22Speaker 2: say the name of the organization, and the guy started screaming, hey, Stan, stop, stop.
- 8:27Speaker 2: I pulled over on I-26. And let this guy hurl
- 8:30Speaker 2: out the window.
- 8:31Speaker 1: And he was vomiting.
- 8:32Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 8:33Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 8:34Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 8:35Speaker 2: But things that I detest are somebody that's too drunk
- 8:41Speaker 2: because you can't rationale with them. You can't reason with them.
- 8:46Speaker 2: And then normally when somebody has been drinking a whole lot,
- 8:50Speaker 2: the evening is going to go downhill. Amen.
- 8:52Speaker 1: Every time. I mean, that's a given no matter what's
- 8:54Speaker 1: going on. Yes. And you ever have anybody try to
- 8:57Speaker 1: get you or get them out there to hustle to
- 8:59Speaker 1: get a bag or something, get a little bag of
- 9:01Speaker 1: dope or something like that? I mean, does that happen?
- 9:03Speaker 1: I'm sure people ask that kind of shit all the time.
- 9:05Speaker 2: Well, people ask as a driver, especially out-of-towners, do you
- 9:10Speaker 2: know where they could get such and such?
- 9:12Speaker 1: And what they looking for usually, you think?
- 9:14Speaker 2: Normally, somebody might want either a little cocaine. And my
- 9:21Speaker 2: thing is, I don't know anything You know, I mean,
- 9:25Speaker 2: you never know whether they're an undercover agent or what. Plus, also,
- 9:29Speaker 2: my boss would really be let down if that happened,
- 9:35Speaker 2: you know, in our vehicles.
- 9:36Speaker 1: Oh, for sure. You also don't know if they're a
- 9:38Speaker 1: little bitch and they can't handle their cocaine.
- 9:40Speaker 2: Boom. Boom.
- 9:41Speaker 3: That's right. That's true.
- 9:43Speaker 1: That's the truth, boy. That's true. So that's the kind
- 9:47Speaker 1: of thing, like, because, yeah, sometimes people don't think, like,
- 9:49Speaker 1: when they go do something, like, they meet up with
- 9:52Speaker 1: a chauffeur. you have a responsibility as a passenger as well, right?
- 9:56Speaker 2: Yes, they do.
- 9:56Speaker 1: And people just, you know, like, I think that's just
- 9:59Speaker 1: about life. people think just because somebody's providing a service
- 10:02Speaker 1: doesn't mean that you don't start to be a human
- 10:03Speaker 1: being you know in that instances and take care of
- 10:05Speaker 1: yourself um have you ever had a spot where uh
- 10:10Speaker 1: like what i'm sure this happens a lot where a
- 10:12Speaker 1: couple wants to make out or make a little bit
- 10:14Speaker 1: of sex or something Brother, it happens. You had to
- 10:18Speaker 1: stay in the car and put your ears like that,
- 10:19Speaker 1: or what do y'all do?
- 10:20Speaker 2: Okay.
- 10:21Speaker 3: It's happened more than you think.
- 10:23Speaker 2: The first time it happened, I was in a stretch limo,
- 10:27Speaker 2: and I heard some kind of weird noise, and I
- 10:29Speaker 2: had the partition up. I went to lower the partition
- 10:32Speaker 2: to see what was going on in the back, and
- 10:34Speaker 2: as the partition began coming down, I started trying to
- 10:36Speaker 2: push it back up. I didn't want to see it.
- 10:39Speaker 2: Her legs was in the air, and my man was
- 10:40Speaker 2: pile driving. Ooh. About two or three months ago, I
- 10:45Speaker 2: was in the Sprinter and I had some newlyweds. They
- 10:52Speaker 2: were in Columbia outside of a little bar or something.
- 10:54Speaker 2: Their wedding party was in the bar. They came out
- 10:58Speaker 2: and got into the Sprinter. I thought the wedding party
- 11:00Speaker 2: was coming out behind them. I felt the Sprinter rocking
- 11:05Speaker 2: to the side. And I went to look into the back.
- 11:08Speaker 2: I saw what was going on. I got out the Sprinter.
- 11:10Speaker 2: And I went into the bar to go see whether
- 11:13Speaker 2: or not the wedding party was coming out. They told me, nah,
- 11:16Speaker 2: that time is for them. I gave them about 10,
- 11:18Speaker 2: 15 minutes. Then I knocked on the sprinter. Hey, I'm
- 11:21Speaker 2: about to take y'all home. When I took them home,
- 11:24Speaker 2: knocked on the door, they were just getting dressed.
- 11:27Speaker 3: It happens, brother.
- 11:28Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 11:29Speaker 1: So when you knock on that sprinter door, is it
- 11:31Speaker 1: a hard knock like a cop or is it something
- 11:33Speaker 1: kind of chill? Like how do you, because you know
- 11:34Speaker 1: what I'm saying? You still have a responsibility. You got
- 11:36Speaker 1: to make sure.
- 11:36Speaker 2: No, it's a soft knock just to let them know, hey. Listen,
- 11:41Speaker 2: I'm about to, you know, check on y'all or we're
- 11:44Speaker 2: about to get moving. I mean, you already know what's
- 11:46Speaker 2: going on. Yeah. You know, I mean, honestly, that's why
- 11:50Speaker 2: people rent limos and sprinters, man.
- 11:53Speaker 1: Uh-uh.
- 11:54Speaker 2: You'll be surprised, man.
- 11:56Speaker 1: Damn. Oh, dude, I do remember just now, actually, I
- 11:58Speaker 1: ended up getting a BJ out there and.
- 12:01Speaker 2: See?
- 12:02Speaker 1: Yeah, I forgot about that. Thank you. Actually, thank you.
- 12:05Speaker 1: I never would have remembered it. I ended up getting
- 12:06Speaker 1: a BJ out there from some girl. I think she
- 12:08Speaker 1: was like a lieutenant... Like third lieutenant. I don't know
- 12:14Speaker 1: what was happening to her. I think she was, I
- 12:16Speaker 1: don't know if she was missing something. I don't remember
- 12:17Speaker 1: what happened to her. She'd been in the military for
- 12:19Speaker 1: a while. And she rattled me off a little BJ
- 12:24Speaker 1: over air somewhere. And that was in, I believe, this
- 12:27Speaker 1: might have been over there in Missouri, somewhere over there.
- 12:30Speaker 3: Now, as a driver, you have to avoid that.
- 12:34Speaker 2: You do?
- 12:34Speaker 1: You do? Oh, with them trying to give it to you.
- 12:36Speaker 3: I do.
- 12:37Speaker 1: Got it.
- 12:37Speaker 2: I don't know what any other driver does. But my
- 12:40Speaker 2: thing is, I have two daughters in total, including my
- 12:44Speaker 2: God sisters. I have seven sisters. And I would not
- 12:48Speaker 2: want any driver to think that he is a celebrity
- 12:52Speaker 2: because they are out that night and they've been drinking
- 12:55Speaker 2: and having a good time. And they may be hitting
- 12:58Speaker 2: on him for him to go for it. They're hitting
- 13:00Speaker 2: on you because they're drunk. They don't know you. They
- 13:02Speaker 2: don't even mean to. They just out having a good time.
- 13:05Speaker 2: Don't go for it.
- 13:06Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 13:06Speaker 2: Don't do that.
- 13:06Speaker 1: That's a trap, huh? Yeah. Have you heard stories of
- 13:09Speaker 1: drivers going for it and anything happening to them?
- 13:11Speaker 3: I've heard drivers brag about going for it. I would never.
- 13:15Speaker 3: I actually avoid it. I have run before. I have lied.
- 13:19Speaker 1: Really get a runoff?
- 13:20Speaker 2: Yes.
- 13:21Speaker 1: You ever have to lock a woman in a car
- 13:22Speaker 1: and just get away?
- 13:24Speaker 3: No, I want them out the car so I can
- 13:26Speaker 3: get away.
- 13:26Speaker 1: Got it, got it, got it. Yeah, that's better. Better idea.
- 13:28Speaker 2: Yes. One lady actually had me call my mother 3
- 13:34Speaker 2: o'clock in the morning, and I woke my mother up
- 13:37Speaker 2: because this lady was gifted.
- 13:40Speaker 3: I had two ladies in Charlotte one Saturday.
- 13:46Speaker 2: Now, you know, they were at the breakfast club having
- 13:49Speaker 2: a good time.
- 13:51Speaker 3: They were really drunk.
- 13:53Speaker 2: They lived across the street from the Panthers practice facility. Now,
- 13:56Speaker 2: once again, I have seven sisters. So my intent is
- 14:00Speaker 2: always to walk the women to their doors. I walked
- 14:04Speaker 2: this lady to her door and as we went to
- 14:06Speaker 2: shake hands, she took these two fingers and this thumb
- 14:10Speaker 2: and stuck them in her mouth. And she was holding
- 14:13Speaker 2: my arm over here and I'm trying to get it
- 14:15Speaker 2: from her. And the more I pulled back, the more
- 14:19Speaker 2: she pulled in. And now she has her eyes closed,
- 14:22Speaker 2: she got veins sticking out her forehead, and she's going
- 14:25Speaker 2: off on my arm. I couldn't get it out of
- 14:27Speaker 2: her mouth.
- 14:28Speaker 3: Now, this is the truth, y'all.
- 14:31Speaker 2: Eventually, a feeling went down my arm, down my leg,
- 14:36Speaker 2: made my toes curl, came up my leg, and hit
- 14:39Speaker 2: my right testicle. I snatched my arm out of her mouth, ran.
- 14:45Speaker 2: Jumped into Lincoln. I'm trying to start it. It's going jig, jig, jig, jig, jig, jig, jig, jig.
- 14:49Speaker 1: Because it wants to stay and get that blow job, bro.
- 14:52Speaker 2: And then when the car started, since I had my
- 14:55Speaker 2: foot on the gas, rocks went flying out from behind
- 14:58Speaker 2: me and the car zoomed off. I went around the corner,
- 15:01Speaker 2: skidded to a stop and caught my mother three o'clock
- 15:03Speaker 2: in the morning. I'm like, mommy, mommy, mommy, you got
- 15:06Speaker 2: to wake up. You got to wake up. And mommy's like, Stan,
- 15:09Speaker 2: what's wrong? So I told my mother what happened. Mommy's like, Stan,
- 15:13Speaker 2: so why'd you run? I said, Mommy, she has skills.
- 15:17Speaker 2: If she could get on my finger and make my
- 15:19Speaker 2: body wake up, imagine. Y'all might not have ever seen
- 15:24Speaker 2: me again. My mother was like, Stan, you crazy, man.
- 15:26Speaker 2: Leave me the hell alone so I can go back
- 15:28Speaker 2: to sleep.
- 15:29Speaker 3: Man, yeah.
- 15:31Speaker 2: Another time, I walked a chick to her door. I
- 15:34Speaker 2: had to go to the bathroom. I don't care if
- 15:38Speaker 2: my stomach is upset. I don't go to the bathroom
- 15:40Speaker 2: in women's houses anymore. This young lady let me into
- 15:44Speaker 2: her apartment. I went in the apartment. I'm peeing. When
- 15:47Speaker 2: I went to open up the bathroom door, she was
- 15:49Speaker 2: standing there with her panties on. No bra, no clothes,
- 15:52Speaker 2: no nothing.
- 15:53Speaker 1: What kind of panties was it, you think, if you
- 15:55Speaker 1: had to guess?
- 15:55Speaker 3: It was some little flowery little joints, man.
- 15:57Speaker 1: Dang. Come on, springtime.
- 16:00Speaker 3: She wanted me to go for it, and I lied.
- 16:02Speaker 1: What'd she say? Did she say something, or was she
- 16:04Speaker 1: standing there just kind of rocking her body, or what?
- 16:06Speaker 2: She told me that she wanted to give me a
- 16:09Speaker 2: tour of the apartment and she wanted to show.
- 16:11Speaker 3: Me her bed.
- 16:12Speaker 2: And when I told her that I wasn't going for it,
- 16:14Speaker 2: she told me that the guy I was driving for,
- 16:16Speaker 2: once again, Shane with the Stretch Navigator, that Shane told
- 16:21Speaker 2: her that she could have me because he was having
- 16:25Speaker 2: her friend that he picked up two chicks in the
- 16:29Speaker 2: strip club Onyx in Charlotte.
- 16:30Speaker 1: Dang.
- 16:32Speaker 3: I got out of that, y'all.
- 16:33Speaker 2: I told the young lady that there were condoms in
- 16:35Speaker 2: the limo and I was going down in the limo
- 16:37Speaker 2: to go grab a couple of condoms. I got in
- 16:39Speaker 2: that car and yeah, y'all, I peeled out of there.
- 16:42Speaker 1: I've said that kind of shit. Damn, bro. I've said,
- 16:44Speaker 1: I remember one time I couldn't get an erection, right?
- 16:47Speaker 1: And I don't know if you guys deal with that
- 16:48Speaker 1: in the black community or whatever, but I couldn't get
- 16:51Speaker 1: an erection, you know, a white erection or whatever.
- 16:54Speaker 2: Man, it happened to me before. Yeah.
- 16:55Speaker 1: And so I told a girl, I was like, oh,
- 16:57Speaker 1: I'm going to go get some condoms. She's looking at
- 16:59Speaker 1: me like, for what? You know what I'm saying, bro?
- 17:02Speaker 1: I was trying to make an excuse to get out
- 17:04Speaker 1: of there, bro. And bro, I've been going eight years
- 17:07Speaker 1: going to get them condoms. I ain't been back there since, dog.
- 17:11Speaker 1: God damn.
- 17:12Speaker 2: Actually, that type of issue, and I'm going to be honest, y'all,
- 17:17Speaker 2: since we talking, that's what made me leave cocaine alone.
- 17:20Speaker 1: Really?
- 17:21Speaker 3: Three times.
- 17:23Speaker 1: It.
- 17:24Speaker 2: had me dead. The first time I was confused. The
- 17:27Speaker 2: second time I'm like, wait a minute, wait a minute.
- 17:30Speaker 2: The third time I knew it and I was with
- 17:32Speaker 2: my second wife. That was my last time that I
- 17:35Speaker 2: used it because how she made me feel so stupid
- 17:39Speaker 2: when she was sitting there plucking it, talking about, look
- 17:41Speaker 2: at this.
- 17:41Speaker 3: What am I supposed to do with this? What's wrong
- 17:43Speaker 3: with this?
- 17:44Speaker 2: What did you do? And I'm sitting there feeling dumb
- 17:47Speaker 2: and dumb. And I said to myself, ain't no woman
- 17:50Speaker 2: on the planet going to ever make me feel like this.
- 17:53Speaker 2: And I have not touched it since.
- 17:55Speaker 1: How long did you use it for, Stan? Be honest
- 17:57Speaker 1: with me, bro, because I've been down that road.
- 17:59Speaker 2: I might have started using cocaine when I was about 15,
- 18:01Speaker 2: maybe 16, and I stopped at 33.
- 18:03Speaker 3: A lot of that had to do with lifestyle in
- 18:06Speaker 3: the Bronx. Growing up.
- 18:09Speaker 2: With the guys that controlled my part of the Bronx.
- 18:12Speaker 1: I see.
- 18:13Speaker 2: I mean, whether it was a coke, whether it was
- 18:15Speaker 2: a heroin, these... My guys were narco terrorists. So it
- 18:19Speaker 2: was always there. It was always around.
- 18:23Speaker 1: Like, were you at school seeing it after school? Were
- 18:26Speaker 1: you not in school? Were you seeing it, like, just
- 18:27Speaker 1: on the playgrounds? Like, did they have gang members that
- 18:30Speaker 1: had it? Like, what was it like? Like, when you
- 18:32Speaker 1: say guys that controlled the area, take me on that. Like,
- 18:35Speaker 1: what was your neighborhood like growing up? Like, take me
- 18:36Speaker 1: through a little bit of that.
- 18:37Speaker 2: I'm from the Bronx. I come off 169th Street, Washington Avenue,
- 18:40Speaker 2: the Marvis Senior neighborhood. Our project was called Claremont Village.
- 18:44Speaker 2: It's a good project. You know, recently there's been a
- 18:48Speaker 2: few shootings, but this is America, so that's going to happen. Yeah,
- 18:52Speaker 2: we don't need everybody. But one thing that I can
- 18:54Speaker 2: say about that particular neighborhood, if it wasn't for a
- 18:58Speaker 2: man named Mr. Curtis Johnson, he was responsible for the
- 19:02Speaker 2: schools being open, for evening basketball, for the Friday night
- 19:08Speaker 2: hip-hop shows. He got the summer youth employment, the free turkeys,
- 19:13Speaker 2: the free cheese.
- 19:15Speaker 3: The Bus Rides to Great Adventures.
- 19:19Speaker 2: The Poolmobile. The Skatemobile. All of that used to come
- 19:24Speaker 2: in the neighborhood. What was the Poolmobile? A big, giant
- 19:27Speaker 2: truck that came to the projects that had a pool
- 19:30Speaker 2: in it.
- 19:30Speaker 1: Nah, motherfucker. You tripping now, bro. You understand?
- 19:33Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 19:33Speaker 1: Hold on, hold on, hold on. First, let's back up, man.
- 19:36Speaker 2: Yeah, man.
- 19:37Speaker 3: In the summer, they used to have.
- 19:41Speaker 2: Every now and then the Skatemobile would come through You know,
- 19:45Speaker 2: it's an impoverished neighborhood.
- 19:46Speaker 3: So those things that we don't have, skates.
- 19:48Speaker 1: And so what was that? They would just hand out
- 19:51Speaker 1: skates to everybody?
- 19:52Speaker 3: Nope, you had to give up your sneakers.
- 19:54Speaker 2: Okay.
- 19:54Speaker 3: And, you know, they would give out skates.
- 19:57Speaker 1: And then where would you skate? In the street?
- 19:59Speaker 3: Yes, because it was blocked off.
- 20:01Speaker 1: Got it. So it was blocked off an area.
- 20:02Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 20:03Speaker 1: The truck would come with the skates and everybody would
- 20:04Speaker 1: get them.
- 20:05Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 20:05Speaker 1: Wow, it's so cool. Yeah. But just the way that
- 20:07Speaker 1: creates a neighborhood event, you know?
- 20:09Speaker 2: But then- They would close off in front of Claremont
- 20:11Speaker 2: Center and a large truck would come with a pool.
- 20:14Speaker 1: What? Like, what do you mean?
- 20:17Speaker 3: Yes.
- 20:18Speaker 1: Yes.
- 20:19Speaker 2: And we would have pool mobiles, skate mobiles.
- 20:21Speaker 3: No, look at this.
- 20:23Speaker 2: Block parties. I've never seen this. We had parades. Johnson
- 20:27Speaker 2: was a good dude, man.
- 20:28Speaker 1: Yeah, this is it. And this right here on Perplexed
- 20:30Speaker 1: City says, yeah, New York formerly operated mobile swimming pools
- 20:34Speaker 1: called swim mobiles. Essentially, pools attached to trucks that could
- 20:38Speaker 1: be parked on residential streets. During the 1960s and 70s,
- 20:42Speaker 1: these swim mobiles provided underserved neighborhoods access to swimming. While
- 20:47Speaker 1: the era of true mobile pools is over, there have
- 20:49Speaker 1: been recent proposals for pop-up or portable pools, such as
- 20:53Speaker 1: dumpster pools and temporary pool installations. What happened to those pools?
- 20:58Speaker 1: Can you look that up for me really quick?
- 20:59Speaker 2: I think it might have been a budget thing. People
- 21:04Speaker 2: phased it out.
- 21:06Speaker 1: New York City's swimmobiles disappeared, mostly due to changes in
- 21:09Speaker 1: pool filtration standards, which made mobile pools harder to maintain
- 21:13Speaker 1: and operate legally.
- 21:14Speaker 2: Okay.
- 21:15Speaker 1: Lawsuit shit. Somebody probably got some infection. Some asshole, and
- 21:19Speaker 1: they had to fucking make a big deal out of
- 21:21Speaker 1: it instead of putting some ointment on it.
- 21:23Speaker 2: Yeah. You bitch.
- 21:24Speaker 1: Additionally, budget cuts made it difficult for the city to
- 21:26Speaker 1: support their upkeep. Many fell into disrepair by the early 1980s. Oh,
- 21:32Speaker 1: also the rising number of permanent public and private pools
- 21:34Speaker 1: also reduced the need for a mobile solution.
- 21:37Speaker 2: Wow.
- 21:38Speaker 1: So when would the mobile pool pull up? Like, what
- 21:40Speaker 1: was that like?
- 21:42Speaker 2: Various times during the summer. It's like when they closed
- 21:49Speaker 2: off 169th Street between 3rd and Washington. There was always
- 21:53Speaker 2: something going on for us, whether it was the skate mobile,
- 21:56Speaker 2: the pool mobile, or just a block party. It was
- 22:02Speaker 2: always something. But when they would close off the street,
- 22:05Speaker 2: that's the reason why I don't get on skates, man.
- 22:08Speaker 2: I do not do skates. Why?
- 22:10Speaker 3: I could never skate.
- 22:11Speaker 2: I was that stiff kid who would put the skates
- 22:14Speaker 2: on and just float until I could either touch a
- 22:17Speaker 2: building or go to a car or something.
- 22:19Speaker 1: Yeah. I'm not good on wheels like that and shit.
- 22:22Speaker 1: I'm not good. I'm that gingerbread man. I'm just kind
- 22:24Speaker 1: of stiff.
- 22:24Speaker 2: No, and one day I was on the skates and
- 22:27Speaker 2: I'm going towards the rope. I will never forget this, man.
- 22:31Speaker 2: And this girl pulled the rope back as I got
- 22:35Speaker 2: near it. And then she let the rope go. And
- 22:38Speaker 2: I woke up later on. I don't get on skates, man.
- 22:42Speaker 2: Skates ain't for me, man.
- 22:42Speaker 1: I woke up later on. Bitcoin just hit an all-time high, baby,
- 22:50Speaker 1: which is pretty wild considering that it was at only
- 22:52Speaker 1: about $ 60, 000 last year. When I need more Bitcoin, MoonPay
- 22:58Speaker 1: is always the first app that I open because it
- 23:01Speaker 1: doesn't force you to buy a whole coin, and it's
- 23:03Speaker 1: super easy to use. MoonPay is also one of the
- 23:07Speaker 1: biggest partners on the show, and I'm excited to share
- 23:10Speaker 1: the that I've made the decision to accept my compensation
- 23:12Speaker 1: from them in Bitcoin instead of U.S. dollars. I'm planning
- 23:17Speaker 1: to hold and save that Bitcoin in my MoonPay account.
- 23:21Speaker 1: The Bitcoin will sit in a digital MoonPay wallet that
- 23:24Speaker 1: nobody can access except for moi.
- 23:27Speaker 2: The U.S.
- 23:27Speaker 1: Dollar continues to fluctuate in value, so by making this decision,
- 23:31Speaker 1: I'm diversifying my portfolio and hopefully earning more from our
- 23:35Speaker 1: partnership than I would have otherwise. Remember, while MoonPay makes
- 23:39Speaker 1: buying crypto straightforward, it's essential to do your own research

- 25:09Speaker 1: Let's get back a little more towards like the occupational
- 25:13Speaker 1: side of things.
- 25:14Speaker 2: Yes.
- 25:15Speaker 1: How hard is it to drive a limo and why
- 25:17Speaker 1: are those pretty much extinct these days, man? Because that
- 25:20Speaker 1: bitch seems ridiculous, bro.
- 25:22Speaker 3: Okay. The limos or the stretch market.
- 25:26Speaker 1: The stretch market?
- 25:27Speaker 3: Oh, you know, like the stretch limos.
- 25:29Speaker 2: Stretch limos, yeah. That particular market is almost drying up
- 25:33Speaker 2: because of the sprinters. Like the Mercedes sprinters has basically
- 25:37Speaker 2: eliminated the stretch market because why would you put, say,
- 25:41Speaker 2: eight to 10 people in a vehicle that's low and
- 25:45Speaker 2: they'll be sitting down, the driver has to make wide
- 25:48Speaker 2: turns versus putting them in a sprinter, a Mercedes sprinter,
- 25:52Speaker 2: where it may be 13 passengers, it may be a
- 25:54Speaker 2: 10 passenger, it may be the party bus, depending on
- 25:56Speaker 2: how the owner-operator has the interior designed. People prefer that.
- 26:03Speaker 2: You just have to make a little wider turn.
- 26:06Speaker 1: Like, how do you do it? Like, if you had
- 26:08Speaker 1: to show me it.
- 26:09Speaker 2: Well, I always drive with two hands.
- 26:11Speaker 1: Okay.
- 26:12Speaker 2: The reason I drive with two hands is because one
- 26:14Speaker 2: hand is not going to do it right, and a
- 26:16Speaker 2: lot of times, like, the wheels move.
- 26:18Speaker 3: You have to constantly look into your mirrors.
- 26:22Speaker 1: Okay.
- 26:23Speaker 2: And you have to always make sure you have distance
- 26:25Speaker 2: between you and the vehicle in front of you because
- 26:27Speaker 2: those vehicles don't stop on a dime. And a lot
- 26:30Speaker 2: of times, like the public, people will see like the
- 26:33Speaker 2: sprinter or they'll see like a limo and they'll try
- 26:35Speaker 2: and undercut you and stop short. Come on, dog. You
- 26:38Speaker 2: don't have to do that, man. You know, as if
- 26:40Speaker 2: they're trying to cause an accident. I'm constantly sweeping my mirrors.
- 26:44Speaker 2: I'm going from left to right constantly. I'm constantly looking in...
- 26:50Speaker 2: like your middle mirror if you have one, but most
- 26:53Speaker 2: of the time you won't if it's a stretch. If
- 26:56Speaker 2: it's a sprinter, you're not going to have that either.
- 26:58Speaker 2: So you have to really learn how to use your mirrors,
- 27:04Speaker 2: keep the space in front of you. You have to
- 27:07Speaker 2: be a really good driver as well as taking care
- 27:11Speaker 2: of your charge of your people.
- 27:15Speaker 1: I mean, you know, Would it have been some situations
- 27:18Speaker 1: that have gotten a little sketch out there for you,
- 27:19Speaker 1: like on the road? Like what's some of the most
- 27:22Speaker 1: harrowing situations you've had to deal with?
- 27:25Speaker 2: Okay, I was in Charlotte. And one thing as a
- 27:27Speaker 2: limo driver is that you're not supposed to, you know,
- 27:30Speaker 2: pick up, you know, a person that hasn't been.
- 27:37Speaker 1: Booked.
- 27:38Speaker 2: I was at the bowling alley in Charlotte off of
- 27:42Speaker 2: Park Road. I dropped somebody off over there and I
- 27:45Speaker 2: was about to leave. A guy came out the bowling
- 27:47Speaker 2: alley and he asked me if I was going to
- 27:49Speaker 2: the uptown Charlotte area.
- 27:51Speaker 3: And I was like, yeah.
- 27:51Speaker 2: And he said to me how he had never been
- 27:53Speaker 2: in a limo before. And, you know, could I just
- 27:55Speaker 2: take him? I figured, you know, the guy was bowling.
- 27:59Speaker 2: It's nothing. I'll take him. So he got to the
- 28:02Speaker 2: limo and I pulled off. And then and then the
- 28:04Speaker 2: guy asked me, he said to me, hey, is it
- 28:06Speaker 2: true that as a chauffeur, you're not supposed to be armed?
- 28:10Speaker 2: And I was like, yeah, why? He said to me,
- 28:12Speaker 2: so what would you do if somebody's robbing you? I
- 28:14Speaker 2: was like, man, I ain't even worried about that. And
- 28:16Speaker 2: then the guy said to me, man, look, what would
- 28:18Speaker 2: you do if I'm robbing you? And I turned around
- 28:20Speaker 2: and looked at him, and I said to him, why?
- 28:22Speaker 2: And then the guy said to me, man, because this
- 28:25Speaker 2: is a robbery. And I said to the dude, okay,
- 28:28Speaker 2: it's like this, man, because now he messed up. I
- 28:33Speaker 2: said to the guy, it's like this, man. I practiced this.
- 28:36Speaker 2: It's like this. I could hit my brake. Open the
- 28:40Speaker 2: door and roll out and let the car go. And
- 28:42Speaker 2: I showed him how I had the door open. I
- 28:45Speaker 2: said to the man, I practiced that. I said, but nah,
- 28:47Speaker 2: it's like this. If you have a gun, I roll
- 28:51Speaker 2: out the door and the car keeps going. I said
- 28:53Speaker 2: to him, now, if you have a knife, that means
- 28:56Speaker 2: that you have to be up on me. And if
- 28:58Speaker 2: you're up on me, because the guy was, you know,
- 29:00Speaker 2: leaning close, I said to him, man, if you're up
- 29:02Speaker 2: on me, here's what's going to happen. My foot hit
- 29:05Speaker 2: the gas. The gas hit the floor. I turned the corner.
- 29:08Speaker 2: He fell all over the car. I'm doing about 90
- 29:10Speaker 2: miles an hour in Charlotte about 2 o'clock in the
- 29:12Speaker 2: morning looking for a cop, turning corners, driving wild, skidding
- 29:16Speaker 2: and all of this stuff. The guy's falling all over
- 29:19Speaker 2: the place. He's telling me I'm crazy. Something's wrong with me.
- 29:22Speaker 2: And I'm hollering at him, we're both dying tonight. Yeah,
- 29:26Speaker 2: let's die. And like I said to him, my family
- 29:28Speaker 2: know I can drive. I'm surgical behind the wheel. So
- 29:31Speaker 2: if I hit a building, they're going to know something
- 29:33Speaker 2: was going down in this car, man. And then I
- 29:36Speaker 2: skidded to a stop. And I said to him, you
- 29:37Speaker 2: can get out now. The guy got out, put his
- 29:40Speaker 2: weapon away. He had his finger up in the air.
- 29:41Speaker 3: He's telling me, man, you're crazy. F you, this, that,
- 29:44Speaker 3: and the other. And I'm sitting there going, wait, how
- 29:46Speaker 3: about the robbery, man?
- 29:47Speaker 2: What happened?
- 29:48Speaker 1: Where you going? Man, fuck him. But that's the kind
- 29:51Speaker 1: of shit, bro, that you got to be prepared for.
- 29:53Speaker 2: Yes, you do.
- 29:54Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 29:55Speaker 1: What about another instance? You pull up at a gas
- 29:57Speaker 1: station and you refueling the coach and then somebody come up.
- 30:01Speaker 1: Something happened over there. I'm sure you're running into some
- 30:05Speaker 1: characters out there, man. Take me through some of that, Stan.
- 30:07Speaker 3: You do, but that's where the Bronx, that's where that 169th.
- 30:09Speaker 1: Street That's where you know what's going on. We right, yeah.
- 30:11Speaker 2: Like I tell people, yo, dog, don't walk up on me, man.
- 30:15Speaker 2: I'm a different dude, man.
- 30:17Speaker 3: Yeah. I tell them, don't.
- 30:20Speaker 2: Don't do that.
- 30:20Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 30:21Speaker 2: I keep a lawyer on a speed dial. His name
- 30:22Speaker 2: is Ken Snow. He's in Charlotte, y'all. He's good, too.
- 30:27Speaker 2: And I tell people, do not walk up on me, man,
- 30:29Speaker 2: because if I got to take off the glasses, we
- 30:33Speaker 2: getting down.
- 30:34Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 30:35Speaker 3: I take off the glasses for two things. They both
- 30:38Speaker 3: begin with an F.
- 30:39Speaker 2: Fighting and, you know, and I tell people, do not
- 30:44Speaker 2: walk up on me.
- 30:45Speaker 1: Yeah. Oh, 100%, man. 100%, dog. That's the thing, yeah.
- 30:50Speaker 1: you got to tell people, do not walk up on me.
- 30:52Speaker 1: Do not walk over here sometimes.
- 30:53Speaker 2: Yeah, man. No, because I have this $ 200, 000 vehicle, and
- 30:59Speaker 2: I have people. I may have somebody who's a $ 200
- 31:02Speaker 2: million person with me.
- 31:04Speaker 3: I don't want anything to happen to that person.
- 31:06Speaker 2: It's not my responsibility to be executive protection, but I'm
- 31:12Speaker 2: not going to let something happen to somebody who's with me.
- 31:14Speaker 1: Right, that's part of the gang. Right.
- 31:16Speaker 2: I mean, me and that person will stomp somebody out together.
- 31:18Speaker 1: And do you keep a blade on you? Do you
- 31:20Speaker 1: keep a pistol on you?
- 31:23Speaker 2: No. No.
- 31:24Speaker 1: Are you allowed to keep that thing on you?
- 31:26Speaker 3: Some people do. I'm an anti-gun guy.
- 31:29Speaker 1: Okay.
- 31:30Speaker 3: I'm anti-gun.
- 31:31Speaker 1: But I know you've had a blade on you before.
- 31:32Speaker 1: You told me a story about a blade, not a dude, huh?
- 31:34Speaker 2: Oh, yeah, man.
- 31:35Speaker 3: What happened with that?
- 31:36Speaker 2: Oh, man. This guy, he was a home contracting scam
- 31:40Speaker 2: artist named Mickey Moore. My house in Charlotte that I
- 31:44Speaker 2: had bought and renovated— it had a HVAC problem.
- 31:49Speaker 3: Now, once again, y'all, I'm a reject from the projects.
- 31:51Speaker 2: I don't know any of the language as far as
- 31:53Speaker 2: that century AC and HVAC and all of that stuff.
- 31:57Speaker 3: So my HVAC, the heat went out.
- 32:00Speaker 2: A friend of mine put me in touch with a
- 32:02Speaker 2: friend of his who worked, who worked for a guy.
- 32:05Speaker 2: They came over to the house. The guy said all
- 32:07Speaker 2: the right things. He blew smoke up my ass, you know,
- 32:10Speaker 2: and he told me everything. Native American shit. I mean,
- 32:13Speaker 2: he told me everything that I needed to hear. Um,
- 32:17Speaker 2: My at-that-time girlfriend was saying to me, Stan, something sounds
- 32:21Speaker 2: funny about this.
- 32:22Speaker 3: And I told her, no, well, he's a friend of
- 32:24Speaker 3: this dude here. Let's let him do the job.
- 32:26Speaker 1: And did he have a ponytail or anything? What did
- 32:28Speaker 1: he look like?
- 32:29Speaker 2: Mickey Moore. Well, come to find out, heroin user, heroin dealer,
- 32:36Speaker 2: pill user, pill dealer.
- 32:40Speaker 3: The lady.
- 32:40Speaker 1: There he is right there.
- 32:43Speaker 3: Yup, that's him.
- 32:44Speaker 1: Are you sure that that That's Mickey. Oh, yeah. I've
- 32:49Speaker 1: seen this guy. He does all those Jesse Ventura impersonations.
- 32:52Speaker 2: This guy here, he had a company in Charlotte called
- 32:56Speaker 2: CSC of the Carolinas. The lady before me, an 87-year-old lady,
- 33:01Speaker 2: he scammed her for $ 43, 000. Ooh, pop. Then when he
- 33:05Speaker 2: got me, he got me for $ 10, 000.
- 33:06Speaker 3: No, no, no.
- 33:07Speaker 2: He took out a perfectly good HVAC system that only
- 33:10Speaker 2: needed to have a fuse changed.
- 33:12Speaker 1: Mm-hmm.
- 33:13Speaker 2: And dig this y'all he incorrectly installed a highly defective
- 33:19Speaker 2: unit that he must have bought off the marketplace or
- 33:21Speaker 2: from some bogus place that had turned my crawl space
- 33:25Speaker 2: into a foot of mud um he um.
- 33:29Speaker 1: Blender in that bitch he took out a regular hvac
- 33:31Speaker 1: system and he put a fucking yeah a two-story microwave
- 33:34Speaker 1: in that.
- 33:35Speaker 2: We literally have poison gas coming through the floor um
- 33:39Speaker 2: Another air conditioning company cut off my gas.
- 33:43Speaker 3: They threatened to, I mean, I was having headaches and stuff.
- 33:47Speaker 1: That's because he put a lawnmower in that bitch. He
- 33:49Speaker 1: put a riding lawnmower where your fucking HVACs was.
- 33:52Speaker 2: Then he vandalized my central air, figuring that I'm not
- 33:55Speaker 2: going to know. State Farm noticed the paperwork was incorrect,
- 34:00Speaker 2: and they called me and said to me, man- We're
- 34:03Speaker 2: investigating you for fraud. And I'm like, what are you
- 34:05Speaker 2: talking about? And then when they explained it to me,
- 34:07Speaker 2: and then I'm like, wait a minute. So no wonder
- 34:10Speaker 2: why something's been wrong. I called a couple of other
- 34:13Speaker 2: AC companies. They came over, they checked the work, and
- 34:16Speaker 2: they told me what he did. I contacted this guy,
- 34:21Speaker 2: and he told me, F.
- 34:24Speaker 3: You, Stan.
- 34:25Speaker 2: You'll never find me. And I explained to Mickey, I'm
- 34:29Speaker 2: a New Yorker. I don't have anything to do. I'm bored.
- 34:36Speaker 2: I will find you one day. I will find you. Well, y'all,
- 34:40Speaker 2: I did find him. And when I found him, Mickey
- 34:42Speaker 2: Moore had an eight to 10 inch knife on him
- 34:44Speaker 2: and a crowbar. I got out of my car with
- 34:48Speaker 2: my hands in the air. No weapon, y'all.
- 34:54Speaker 1: Raphael and Donatello.
- 34:56Speaker 2: A little while later, Mickey was popped eight times with
- 35:00Speaker 2: his own knife. 20 cops came to my house to
- 35:04Speaker 2: come get me.
- 35:04Speaker 1: And that's all we know.
- 35:08Speaker 3: But I'm in the street, y'all.
- 35:10Speaker 1: And that's all we know, boy. Anybody who knows me
- 35:14Speaker 1: can fill it in. That's all we know, son. Pin
- 35:18Speaker 1: the tail on the donkey, homie. That's all we know, bro.
- 35:21Speaker 1: I explained to the judge that I'm from the Bronx.
- 35:25Speaker 2: And if you take somebody's weapon, it's called a free kill.
- 35:29Speaker 2: She said, told me that in a civilized society, there's
- 35:33Speaker 2: no such thing as a free kill. Well.
- 35:36Speaker 1: It's a difference of opinion.
- 35:37Speaker 2: Very true. And he is alive. But anybody, once again,
- 35:41Speaker 2: who knows me knows that I'm no dummy. Below the
- 35:43Speaker 2: waist is misdemeanor. Above the waist is felony.
- 35:48Speaker 1: Is that true?
- 35:49Speaker 3: Yes, it is.
- 35:49Speaker 1: Wow.
- 35:50Speaker 2: Yes, it is. You just have to watch out for
- 35:52Speaker 2: that femoral artery that the judge told me that I
- 35:55Speaker 2: almost hit. I missed it by less than half an inch,
- 35:58Speaker 2: but he got popped eight times. Ken Snow, y'all. He
- 36:02Speaker 2: did his thing. I'm in the street.
- 36:04Speaker 1: Ken Snow, baby. That's another advertisement for Ken Snow. And
- 36:07Speaker 1: you based over out of Columbia, South Carolina. That's where
- 36:09Speaker 1: you're riding at now.
- 36:10Speaker 2: Yes.
- 36:10Speaker 1: That's where you're chauffeuring at now, man. And yeah, if
- 36:13Speaker 1: you guys, we'll put Stan's info out there, man. If
- 36:16Speaker 1: y'all want to ride with the dog when you pull
- 36:18Speaker 1: up somewhere in Columbia, South Carolina, man, that's the guy
- 36:23Speaker 1: to do it with. Signature transportation. Dude, that story's crazy, bro.
- 36:27Speaker 1: I'm trying to think, one story you was telling me, oh,
- 36:29Speaker 1: so you've had some love issues over the years, bro.
- 36:32Speaker 2: Oh, yeah, man. I love the women, y'all. I paid
- 36:35Speaker 2: for two divorces. Let's see. I'm 60. I'll be 61
- 36:40Speaker 2: on the 24th of this month.
- 36:42Speaker 1: You look great, brother.
- 36:43Speaker 2: Thank you.
- 36:44Speaker 3: My on and off again girlfriend, she's only 25. She's
- 36:48Speaker 3: in Columbia.
- 36:51Speaker 2: Yeah, and I was telling Theo how January 7th of
- 36:54Speaker 2: this year, how she hit me with a pot of
- 36:58Speaker 2: fettuccine noodles that I was boiling.
- 37:00Speaker 3: And I ended up in.
- 37:02Speaker 1: Let's say it again, fettuccine noodles.
- 37:03Speaker 3: Fettuccine noodles, y'all, that I was boiling.
- 37:06Speaker 2: And I ended up in the doctor's hospital in Augusta, Georgia,
- 37:10Speaker 2: which is America's largest burn center. And I had to
- 37:14Speaker 2: have some surgery because my left ear was melted in
- 37:18Speaker 2: the back. I was burned back here. I mean, they
- 37:21Speaker 2: had me wrapped up like a mummy. It was bad.
- 37:24Speaker 1: Melted in the bag.
- 37:25Speaker 3: And then after.
- 37:26Speaker 2: Telling Theo the story about how I got beat up
- 37:30Speaker 2: that particular night and my gold chain was twisted into
- 37:33Speaker 2: my neck.
- 37:34Speaker 1: Take us through it, Stan. Take us through it. Take
- 37:36Speaker 1: us out of the, you know what I'm saying? No judgment.
- 37:38Speaker 2: She was drunk that particular night. She came by my apartment. And,
- 37:45Speaker 2: you know, once again, you know, drunk people, you know,
- 37:50Speaker 2: it's hard to rationalize this, that, and the other.
- 37:52Speaker 3: Oh, yeah, they be wildin'. Yeah, she was upset about
- 37:54Speaker 3: a few things. I'm in the kitchen.
- 37:55Speaker 2: I'm trying to make some, I'm frying some chicken parmesan,
- 38:02Speaker 2: making fettuccine noodles. and making the vegetables and, you know,
- 38:09Speaker 2: like just pushing and shoving. I'm trying to get her
- 38:11Speaker 2: out the kitchen. And then when she grabbed ahold of
- 38:14Speaker 2: my chain and started, you know, choking me.
- 38:16Speaker 1: So she grabbed your chain.
- 38:17Speaker 2: And basically I had to get her attention by feeding
- 38:25Speaker 2: into what was going on. And then when I was
- 38:30Speaker 2: moving out of the kitchen, she began looking at the
- 38:33Speaker 2: stuff on the stove and I was hoping that she
- 38:35Speaker 2: did not grab the chicken parmesan with the vegetable oil
- 38:38Speaker 2: in it. And instead she grabbed the pot with my
- 38:41Speaker 2: fettuccine and I said to her, don't do it.
- 38:44Speaker 3: If you do it, you're going to go to jail.
- 38:46Speaker 2: And then she picked it up and as I turned
- 38:48Speaker 2: to run, I felt it hit me. And when it
- 38:52Speaker 2: hit me, I ran out of my door and I
- 38:54Speaker 2: was screaming, ah, you really burnt me. And then my
- 38:57Speaker 2: dog Snowy Snowy started trying to attack her then. I
- 39:02Speaker 2: went back into my apartment, but I had already called
- 39:06Speaker 2: the police. I left my door open, and that's when
- 39:09Speaker 2: the cops showed up.
- 39:11Speaker 1: And when the cops showed up, was there water in
- 39:13Speaker 1: the pot too, or just in hot noodles?
- 39:15Speaker 3: Water was on the floor.
- 39:18Speaker 1: But were they boiling the noodles? Was the noodles boiling?
- 39:20Speaker 1: That's what I'm asking.
- 39:21Speaker 2: They were boiling when she threw them on me. Yeah, man.
- 39:25Speaker 1: So would you have rather, in hindsight, got hit by
- 39:27Speaker 1: that entree, by that chicken parm? or you think the
- 39:31Speaker 1: fettuccine or the fettuccine noodles?
- 39:36Speaker 2: Given a choice, the fettuccine was better because the chicken
- 39:39Speaker 2: parm was in vegetable oil, and that would have really
- 39:42Speaker 2: torn me up.
- 39:44Speaker 1: And how did that feel when that first hit you, man?
- 39:46Speaker 1: When that chini hit you, bro? It stung.
- 39:50Speaker 2: It stung something fierce. I screamed, ah, this shit stings.
- 39:58Speaker 2: And I ran out my door and I said to her,
- 40:00Speaker 2: you burnt me.
- 40:03Speaker 1: There you are right now. And that's it.
- 40:05Speaker 2: I went back inside and she was telling me at
- 40:09Speaker 2: that time, she realized what she did then.
- 40:13Speaker 1: Did you have a shirt on? Did you put your
- 40:16Speaker 1: hands in the air? Did you get down on the ground?
- 40:18Speaker 1: Did you put some milk on it? What did you do?
- 40:22Speaker 3: I did not do anything to it. I did not
- 40:24Speaker 3: touch it.
- 40:25Speaker 2: And when the police and the EMTs came, they were
- 40:27Speaker 2: literally picking noodles and stuff off me. It stung like crazy.
- 40:33Speaker 2: I didn't do anything. I didn't even touch it. I mean,
- 40:38Speaker 2: later on, I went to bed. The next day... You
- 40:41Speaker 2: went to bed? Eventually, I went to sleep. Just like that.
- 40:48Speaker 2: Did you put the gauze on?
- 40:49Speaker 1: No.
- 40:50Speaker 3: I didn't do anything because I didn't think it was bad.
- 40:54Speaker 2: Honestly. Then the next day, I went to see a
- 40:58Speaker 2: friend of mine to borrow some money. Yeah. But I
- 41:02Speaker 2: noticed that it was dripping over there. It was really wet.
- 41:07Speaker 2: And when my friend looked at my head, he said
- 41:10Speaker 2: to me, what happened to you? And I didn't say anything.
- 41:13Speaker 2: And he said to me, who did that to you?
- 41:14Speaker 2: And then the tears just started rolling. So he knew.
- 41:17Speaker 2: His or yours?
- 41:20Speaker 1: No. Whose tears?
- 41:21Speaker 3: My tears started rolling.
- 41:23Speaker 2: And then.
- 41:25Speaker 1: Damn, look at this shit here. You look like a
- 41:27Speaker 1: model in one of those fashion shows or something.
- 41:29Speaker 3: And what my friend said to me was.
- 41:31Speaker 1: This is like some BCBR G-Max's area, bro.
- 41:35Speaker 3: They sent me my.
- 41:37Speaker 2: Actually, it's my friend Scott that owns Signature Transportation. Mm-hmm.
- 41:42Speaker 2: He's like my boss, friend, big brother. Scott told me
- 41:48Speaker 2: to go to the emergency room. So I went to
- 41:50Speaker 2: the emergency room. And when I walked into the emergency room,
- 41:54Speaker 2: they didn't take my name or anything. They just walked
- 41:57Speaker 2: me into the back.
- 41:58Speaker 1: You hit the express lane?
- 42:00Speaker 2: Wait, dig this now. They took me into a room.
- 42:03Speaker 2: Three doctors came in there. They didn't touch me. They
- 42:06Speaker 2: walked around me and they looked. And one doctor said
- 42:09Speaker 2: to me, sir, there's nothing we can do for you here.
- 42:12Speaker 2: You have to go to Augusta. And I said, what's
- 42:14Speaker 2: in Augusta? He said, America's largest burn center. And I
- 42:19Speaker 2: said to him, yeah, well, okay, I'll go. Let's do it.
- 42:21Speaker 1: They calling you up to the big leagues, baby.
- 42:23Speaker 3: Now, bear in mind, I'm in a little shock.
- 42:26Speaker 2: So they gave me the referral, and they told me
- 42:30Speaker 2: the referral is for 7 o'clock tomorrow morning.
- 42:33Speaker 1: And they wrapped you up like this or no? No,
- 42:35Speaker 1: they just sent me home. Because this shit look like
- 42:37Speaker 1: they got you in a damn to go box right here.
- 42:39Speaker 2: I went home and took a shower not knowing that
- 42:42Speaker 2: I shouldn't have did that.
- 42:44Speaker 1: You can't feel it, bro?
- 42:46Speaker 3: I'm in shock.
- 42:47Speaker 1: Oh, my bad, man.
- 42:47Speaker 2: And then I smoked me some herb, and I went
- 42:50Speaker 2: to sleep. I got up the next morning, got in
- 42:52Speaker 2: my car, and I drove to Augusta. And was it
- 42:54Speaker 2: still dripping a little? Still dripping.
- 42:56Speaker 1: And what's dripping? Is it dripping that's in your shirt,
- 42:58Speaker 1: or what's popping?
- 42:59Speaker 2: It's getting on my clothes.
- 43:02Speaker 1: Does it smell like fettuccine at all?
- 43:05Speaker 2: No.
- 43:06Speaker 1: Or like a little bit of garlic or parmesan?
- 43:09Speaker 3: It was just weird because....
- 43:12Speaker 2: It felt like sweat on one part of my body.
- 43:16Speaker 1: Yeah. Fuck, you a damn side item out there.
- 43:18Speaker 2: I didn't know that the back of my ear was
- 43:20Speaker 2: literally melting. I mean, I was literally messed up. I
- 43:26Speaker 2: went to Augusta.
- 43:27Speaker 1: Damn, bro, look at this shit, bro. You look like
- 43:29Speaker 1: a damn blackstronaut, bro. They got you fucking looking like
- 43:33Speaker 1: you're going to space right there, bro.
- 43:35Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 43:36Speaker 3: But the crazy thing is, man, like I tell anybody.
- 43:39Speaker 1: Hey, Stan, they got you.
- 43:40Speaker 3: She didn't mean to hurt me. She was intoxicated.
- 43:43Speaker 1: Oh, no, I'm not saying that.
- 43:44Speaker 3: No, no, I'm saying as bad as it looks.
- 43:47Speaker 2: Right.
- 43:47Speaker 1: Yeah, that's just, yeah.
- 43:48Speaker 2: As bad as it looks, I can honestly say because
- 43:52Speaker 2: I still deal with her to this day.
- 43:54Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 43:54Speaker 3: People ask me why all the time.
- 43:56Speaker 1: I go, why? Life is life. Shit happens. Love is
- 44:00Speaker 1: love too, man.
- 44:02Speaker 3: And that's the thing. I'm 60. She's 25. And- I'm
- 44:05Speaker 3: going to say this publicly, y'all. I love the shit
- 44:07Speaker 3: out this young lady.
- 44:09Speaker 2: I don't know why, but I do. We go through
- 44:11Speaker 2: it all the time.
- 44:14Speaker 1: Look at Belichick. He on that shit, bro.
- 44:16Speaker 2: I mean, and this happened, and the police wanted to
- 44:19Speaker 2: arrest her. They were trying to convince me to let
- 44:23Speaker 2: them press felony charges on them.
- 44:26Speaker 1: Felony for the fettuccine?
- 44:28Speaker 2: And I'm telling them no. I'm telling them, no, first
- 44:31Speaker 2: of all, she has two boys. Who's going to raise
- 44:33Speaker 2: her sons? Got to be two more young black men
- 44:35Speaker 2: in the system. We not having that. And my thing was,
- 44:40Speaker 2: she was intoxicated and emotional. It's not like she did it.
- 44:45Speaker 2: Had she not been intoxicated, it would have never happened.
- 44:48Speaker 2: She's beautiful, like most people.
- 44:50Speaker 1: Right.
- 44:51Speaker 2: But yeah, it's not like she's- Alcohol changes your personality
- 44:53Speaker 2: in everyone. Oh, yeah.
- 44:55Speaker 1: It's not like she's hiding in the woods sober with
- 44:57Speaker 1: a fucking pan of, you know, orzo or angel hair
- 45:01Speaker 1: pasta or something. She'd pop out and hit you with
- 45:03Speaker 1: that bitch. This was something that was drunken, and then
- 45:05Speaker 1: it happened.
- 45:06Speaker 2: Boom, yeah.
- 45:07Speaker 1: God, it's crazy.
- 45:07Speaker 3: I mean, that's my baby.
- 45:09Speaker 1: That's your girl, yeah.
- 45:10Speaker 2: That's my baby.
- 45:10Speaker 1: Well, look, we love who we love, bro.
- 45:12Speaker 2: That's right.
- 45:12Speaker 1: That's the thing.
- 45:13Speaker 2: That's right.
- 45:13Speaker 1: We love who we love.
- 45:14Speaker 2: That's right.
- 45:15Speaker 1: And that's sometimes how, that's one of really the interesting
- 45:17Speaker 1: things about love, I think, Stan.
- 45:19Speaker 3: It's crazy. It's weird.
- 45:20Speaker 1: It's crazy, bro.
- 45:22Speaker 2: You can't even explain it. And everyone I know tells me, Stan,
- 45:28Speaker 2: stay away from her. She's not right for you. Everybody
- 45:31Speaker 2: she knows tells her, oh, F him. Stay away from
- 45:33Speaker 2: that dude. He's too old for you.
- 45:35Speaker 3: Oh, that's an old man. This, that, and the other.
- 45:37Speaker 2: But like I tell her, okay, I'm a little older.
- 45:40Speaker 2: But ask your friends. Do they have a good man? Huh.
- 45:43Speaker 3: Do they have any man? Ask your family. Do they
- 45:47Speaker 3: have a better man?
- 45:47Speaker 2: I mean, I don't cheat. I don't drink.
- 45:50Speaker 3: I'm in bed by 10 unless I'm working.
- 45:52Speaker 2: I mean, I go out the house to walk the dog,
- 45:55Speaker 2: buy my herb, get my Mountain Dews and my Dutch Masters.
- 45:58Speaker 3: I mean, I don't go nowhere.
- 45:59Speaker 1: Look, that's a South Carolina fitness routine, man.
- 46:02Speaker 2: I mean, she still has a decent guy here. I
- 46:04Speaker 2: don't care how people feel about me.
- 46:07Speaker 1: Type shit, man.
- 46:08Speaker 2: But my thing is, when it comes to her, I'm
- 46:13Speaker 2: there for her. Right. You know?
- 46:15Speaker 1: I mean, that's the interesting thing about love, man. Some
- 46:17Speaker 1: days love is a sitcom. Some days it's a scary movie.
- 46:21Speaker 1: Some days it's just the same movie over and over
- 46:23Speaker 1: and over again that you really are at peace watching.
- 46:27Speaker 2: But to be honest, I can't take much more of
- 46:30Speaker 2: that particular madness.
- 46:32Speaker 1: The drinking?
- 46:33Speaker 3: No, the madness.
- 46:34Speaker 2: That goes with the whole relationship. I mean, the whole madness.
- 46:40Speaker 2: I mean, I'm 60 years old. I'll be 61 in
- 46:42Speaker 2: another two, three weeks.
- 46:44Speaker 3: I paid for two divorces. I'm looking for my last queen.
- 46:48Speaker 2: Yeah. I'm looking for, I want real. I want a woman.
- 46:53Speaker 2: I want my woman. I want somebody to make me
- 46:55Speaker 2: happy for this last, what? I'm 61, y'all. How much
- 46:58Speaker 2: more time do I have?
- 47:00Speaker 1: I think you got a lot of time, bro.
- 47:02Speaker 2: Well.
- 47:02Speaker 1: Because you seem like that guy, they ain't going to
- 47:04Speaker 1: get rid of. Look at the, bring up another shot
- 47:06Speaker 1: of him in that helmet, bro. They had you packaged
- 47:08Speaker 1: up in this bitch, bro.
- 47:09Speaker 2: Yeah, man.
- 47:10Speaker 1: God damn, bro, you look like an undercover cop at
- 47:13Speaker 1: a cotton ball factory, homie.
- 47:15Speaker 2: They asked me who drove me to Augusta.
- 47:18Speaker 3: I said to them, I drove myself. They were like,
- 47:20Speaker 3: you did what? They said to me, who's with you?
- 47:24Speaker 3: One of the doctors asked me, well, how could you
- 47:26Speaker 3: take the pain? And I said to him, what pain?
- 47:28Speaker 2: My C45678 is fused and my L5S1 is fused. Right.
- 47:34Speaker 2: I could do pain.
- 47:35Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 47:37Speaker 2: I mean, other than it stinging, I was literally in shock.
- 47:43Speaker 1: Yeah, you a damn Lego person at that point, man.
- 47:45Speaker 2: That's nothing. We've gotten past that. We have a decent friendship.
- 47:49Speaker 2: I mean, like anything else, it goes up and down.
- 47:52Speaker 2: But right about now, it's beginning to get old.
- 47:57Speaker 1: Yeah, you got to see what else is. Look, it
- 48:01Speaker 1: needs to evolve. If it's going to, it would be
- 48:04Speaker 1: nice for it to evolve into a better place. Boom.
- 48:06Speaker 2: I mean.
- 48:07Speaker 1: And that's okay to say that, man.
- 48:08Speaker 2: Either be real with me or be gone so that
- 48:10Speaker 2: somebody else can go on and get this dude here
- 48:13Speaker 2: that's a good dude. Gang, gang, gang.
- 48:15Speaker 3: And that's my mantra to her.
- 48:17Speaker 2: Either you take advantage and let's be real and let's
- 48:21Speaker 2: start with the BS or let's go our separate ways
- 48:24Speaker 2: so that you can do you and I can find
- 48:27Speaker 2: that woman that's actually out there looking for me.
- 48:29Speaker 1: Mm-hmm.
- 48:30Speaker 3: Because trust me, she's out there looking for me.
- 48:33Speaker 1: Amen. This episode is sponsored by BetterHelp. October 10th was

- 49:48Speaker 1: Is pornography causing a problem in your life? Do you
- 49:51Speaker 1: find yourself watching porno for longer periods of time and
- 49:56Speaker 1: having trouble stopping? Is porn affecting your relationship or dating life? Well,
- 50:03Speaker 1: you're certainly not alone. Watching pornography has become so commonplace today,
- 50:08Speaker 1: and oftentimes men use porn to numb the pain of loneliness, boredom, anxiety,
- 50:14Speaker 1: and depression. Shame and stigma prevent men from talking about
- 50:18Speaker 1: these issues and getting help for them. I want to
- 50:22Speaker 1: introduce you to my friend Steve. Steve is the founder
- 50:25Speaker 1: of Valor Recovery, a program to help men overcome porn
- 50:28Speaker 1: abuse and sexual compulsivity. Steve is a long-term sexual recovery
- 50:34Speaker 1: member and has personally overcame the emotional and spiritual despair
- 50:38Speaker 1: of abusing pornography and has dedicated his life to empowering
- 50:42Speaker 1: men to do the same. Steve is an amazing person,
- 50:46Speaker 1: and he is a close friend of mine.
- 50:48Speaker 2: I mean that.
- 50:50Speaker 1: Valor Recovery helps men to develop the tools necessary to
- 50:53Speaker 1: have a healthier sex life. Their coaches are in long-term
- 50:57Speaker 1: recovery and will be your partner, mentor, and spiritual guide
- 51:01Speaker 1: to transcend these problematic behaviors. To learn more about Valor Recovery,
- 51:06Speaker 1: please visit them at www.valorrecoverycoaching.com or email them at admin
- 51:17Speaker 1: at valorrecoverycoaching.com. Thank you. Yeah, I believe that too, man.
- 51:24Speaker 1: I was just thinking the other day, like, you know,
- 51:26Speaker 1: one of the things that I just like, it's nice
- 51:28Speaker 1: to think about that person that's out there for you.
- 51:30Speaker 1: Kind of like, you know, that's one thing. Like, I
- 51:32Speaker 1: realize instead of sometimes I'll be a little bit like,
- 51:34Speaker 1: can I meet somebody? Because everybody can meet. Not everybody
- 51:38Speaker 1: can meet someone.
- 51:39Speaker 3: It's like, where is she, though?
- 51:40Speaker 1: It is exciting, though, too, thinking that there's somebody out there, right?
- 51:43Speaker 1: You know, and where that person is and what their
- 51:46Speaker 1: life is like. And that's like an exciting thing.
- 51:48Speaker 3: I want that ultimate queen, man.
- 51:49Speaker 1: Oh, bro, I'm going to see you on the throne
- 51:51Speaker 1: with your dime, bro. You deserve it, man.
- 51:54Speaker 3: At least while I still got a little lead in
- 51:55Speaker 3: the pencil.
- 51:56Speaker 1: Hey, bro.
- 51:57Speaker 2: Yeah. Nope.
- 51:58Speaker 1: That's it, man. Has that ever been a tough thing
- 52:01Speaker 1: in your relationships? Because you said you had two wives.
- 52:03Speaker 1: What's caused some of those to go astray? What have
- 52:05Speaker 1: you struggled with in relationships, do you think, man? Because
- 52:08Speaker 1: you were good when you were a chauffeur, right? You
- 52:10Speaker 1: were good when you were an operator. I'm in control, right?
- 52:12Speaker 1: That's a control situation. I'm the one who's running everything.
- 52:16Speaker 1: It's my way, kind of, and the highway.
- 52:18Speaker 2: Well, that's something that a lot of women have a
- 52:20Speaker 2: problem with. Especially, and I hate to say this, and
- 52:23Speaker 2: y'all going to jump on me about this, especially African-American women.
- 52:28Speaker 2: Because a large percentage of our African-American women have been
- 52:32Speaker 2: raised in a household without a father. So that dominating
- 52:39Speaker 2: or that stand-up man is not there. And they all
- 52:42Speaker 2: say that they want one. But when they run into
- 52:44Speaker 2: a strong guy who's going to lead and speak, They
- 52:48Speaker 2: want to resist. Oh, oh, you think you my father.
- 52:51Speaker 2: You trying to control me. No, I'm not, darling. Yeah. No,
- 52:55Speaker 2: I'm not. I'm a man.
- 52:56Speaker 1: Lay low, wonk. Men are leaders. Lay low, wonk.
- 52:59Speaker 3: Yeah, men are leaders.
- 53:00Speaker 2: Allow me to lead.
- 53:02Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 53:02Speaker 2: You know, but a lot of African-American women, that's not
- 53:08Speaker 2: in their household. You know, you hear a lot of
- 53:10Speaker 2: black women saying, oh, well, I don't need no man.
- 53:15Speaker 2: Come on, y'all. Let's stop that. Because that filters down
- 53:18Speaker 2: to the kids. Now, you hear your boy, excuse me,
- 53:22Speaker 2: your son hears you all the time saying, oh, well,
- 53:26Speaker 2: I don't want no man.
- 53:27Speaker 3: I don't need no man. Then what do you think
- 53:29Speaker 3: that does to him?
- 53:30Speaker 2: That lowers his self-esteem and that makes you raise a
- 53:35Speaker 2: weak man. You know, your daughters pick up on that
- 53:39Speaker 2: same mindset. I don't need no man. And they grow
- 53:41Speaker 2: up being resistant, you know, to guys trying to lead them.
- 53:46Speaker 1: And see, that's a world that I don't know about,
- 53:48Speaker 1: you know, because it's not part of, you know, it's
- 53:50Speaker 1: part of my universe because I live in the universe,
- 53:52Speaker 1: but it's not part of, like, my world. I don't
- 53:54Speaker 1: have a lot of experience in that space. But you've
- 53:58Speaker 1: struggled in marriage and stuff. Like, what is it, like,
- 54:01Speaker 1: how do you think, if you look back on your
- 54:02Speaker 1: own life, you could have been better at being somebody
- 54:05Speaker 1: who loves or is loved?
- 54:08Speaker 3: First wife.
- 54:11Speaker 2: I was streetwise, running in the street, Hanging on Washington Avenue.
- 54:16Speaker 1: Were you wearing jerseys and shit like that?
- 54:18Speaker 3: No, no, no. I've never been a jersey dude.
- 54:20Speaker 2: Always dress nice, you know.
- 54:25Speaker 3: I've never been one to wear.
- 54:27Speaker 1: Wearing cologne back then or what? Yes.
- 54:29Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 54:29Speaker 1: What kind?
- 54:30Speaker 3: At first it was Lagerfeld. And now, like these glasses,
- 54:34Speaker 3: it's Prada.
- 54:36Speaker 1: Bring up that Lagerfeld. Let me get a little look
- 54:38Speaker 1: at that bottle.
- 54:38Speaker 3: It's called Lagerfeld.
- 54:39Speaker 1: Bring up that shit, that splash.
- 54:41Speaker 3: Bingo, the original, the classic.
- 54:43Speaker 1: The classic, baby.
- 54:44Speaker 2: Man.
- 54:44Speaker 1: That splash, baby.
- 54:46Speaker 3: I remember growing up.
- 54:47Speaker 1: Big Stan got that splash.
- 54:49Speaker 2: One of my older brothers, a guy named Tony Pinnell
- 54:52Speaker 2: that I really love, right? I would put on like
- 54:55Speaker 2: my Lagerfell and T would say, yo, Ice, because that's
- 54:58Speaker 2: my nickname in the Bronx.
- 55:00Speaker 3: Yo, man, that stuff got you smelling like a wet
- 55:02Speaker 3: paper bag, man. Take that off.
- 55:04Speaker 2: But the women would be doing things like... Woo, who's
- 55:09Speaker 2: wearing that? And I'd be going, AOT, see?
- 55:11Speaker 1: See?
- 55:11Speaker 2: And Tony would be going, y'all, y'all, y'all ice, but
- 55:14Speaker 2: I don't need that to pull him. And my man
- 55:16Speaker 2: TP used to pull him. Hey.
- 55:18Speaker 3: He ain't need no Lagerfeld.
- 55:19Speaker 2: He ain't need no.
- 55:20Speaker 1: Lagerfeld, huh? Look at that cologne, baby. That's the bird seed,
- 55:23Speaker 1: and that brings, I have them flocking over, bro. That's
- 55:25Speaker 1: how it is, man.
- 55:26Speaker 3: But now it's Prada. I love that Prada.
- 55:30Speaker 2: And these glasses, this is my second pair of Prada.
- 55:35Speaker 2: And as you see, they are a little injured because
- 55:38Speaker 2: like my first pair of Pradas, my dogs got to
- 55:41Speaker 2: my Prada glasses.
- 55:42Speaker 3: They destroyed them. So I bought these.
- 55:44Speaker 2: Then, yes, Snowy got to these again one day. She
- 55:48Speaker 2: chewed off the side here, bit on my lenses, but
- 55:50Speaker 2: didn't dig this, y'all. I do have a brand new
- 55:53Speaker 2: pair of Prada glasses at the house. I just have
- 55:57Speaker 2: not had the prescription put in it yet. Like, shit, man.
- 55:59Speaker 2: That's all.
- 56:00Speaker 1: Yeah, that's it, man. Nobody's judging that, but I feel you.
- 56:03Speaker 1: You got to tell them you got to preach that exactly.
- 56:05Speaker 2: Oh, yeah.
- 56:05Speaker 1: What advice do you have to young men out there
- 56:07Speaker 1: who are starting out on their path if they could
- 56:09Speaker 1: look back on your path and do something different, bro?
- 56:12Speaker 1: Or what have you learned in your life so far?
- 56:14Speaker 1: Because you're at an interesting spot, right? You are entering
- 56:18Speaker 1: that third trimester of your life, right? And it's really
- 56:21Speaker 1: kind of like the master class of life.
- 56:23Speaker 3: In a lot of ways. That's when you can give
- 56:24Speaker 3: the best advice.
- 56:25Speaker 1: Yeah, when you have at least the most experience to
- 56:27Speaker 1: share from.
- 56:28Speaker 3: Like I'll tell anybody, the street, leave it alone.
- 56:32Speaker 2: It's a lie.
- 56:34Speaker 3: It's a lie. You young guys, y'all want that street credibility?
- 56:38Speaker 3: It's a lie. You want to sell drugs?
- 56:40Speaker 2: It's a lie. You'll end up in jail, okay? You'll
- 56:43Speaker 2: end up killing your own dreams. This is what you do.
- 56:46Speaker 2: You stay in school. Get that education, y'all.
- 56:48Speaker 3: Go to college. Get that education.
- 56:50Speaker 2: I mean, like I told my son, Ricky, when he
- 56:54Speaker 2: was telling me he didn't.
- 56:55Speaker 3: Want to be a nerd, I said to him, why, Ricky?
- 56:57Speaker 3: I told him that's where I made my mistake.
- 56:59Speaker 2: Okay.
- 57:00Speaker 3: Because I wanted to be in with the in crowd.
- 57:02Speaker 2: Okay. I got tired of being teased, picked on, called
- 57:07Speaker 2: the professor, the scientist.
- 57:09Speaker 3: So what did I do?
- 57:10Speaker 2: I started being with the bad kids. I started dropping
- 57:13Speaker 2: my grades. I told my son, Ricky, it's okay to
- 57:15Speaker 2: be a nerd. All right.
- 57:17Speaker 3: And he's like, nerd. I said, Bill Gates.
- 57:19Speaker 2: Okay.
- 57:21Speaker 1: Okay.
- 57:22Speaker 3: Bill Gates was a nerd. Look at Bill Gates now.
- 57:24Speaker 2: People who picked on him, the girls who laughed at him,
- 57:27Speaker 2: the guys who threw stuff at him. They're trying to
- 57:29Speaker 2: download his dick right now. They would love for him
- 57:31Speaker 2: to at least read a resume. It's okay to be
- 57:34Speaker 2: a nerd.
- 57:34Speaker 1: You're right. Them bitches trying to download his dick right now.
- 57:38Speaker 3: My son, he's in Spain.
- 57:40Speaker 1: Shout out Ricky, man. He's a handsome kid, nice kid. Yes.
- 57:43Speaker 2: Y'all, he looks just like me. He's just a younger,
- 57:47Speaker 2: smarter guy. better looking version.
- 57:49Speaker 3: You know, I mean.
- 57:51Speaker 1: Amen, bro.
- 57:51Speaker 2: He's in Spain. He's been there for almost three years now.
- 57:54Speaker 2: He's getting a master's in Spanish and Spanish culture. Like
- 57:57Speaker 2: I told Ricky, you do that, man. I mean, you know,
- 58:01Speaker 2: you get those degrees. I told him, I got five
- 58:03Speaker 2: years taking law classes, y'all.
- 58:05Speaker 3: No degree. Ricky, get your degrees, man.
- 58:07Speaker 1: Get your shit, Ricky.
- 58:08Speaker 2: You know?
- 58:08Speaker 1: Get your shit, Ricky. We need that, man.
- 58:10Speaker 3: And he's not a street dude. He's a good guy.
- 58:12Speaker 1: Amen.
- 58:13Speaker 2: You know?
- 58:14Speaker 1: I want to ask this, man, and blessings to Ricky
- 58:17Speaker 1: and your children, Stan. What happened to the fettuccines? You
- 58:21Speaker 1: get over there, they got you in the burn water. What,
- 58:24Speaker 1: did they give you a room over there?
- 58:26Speaker 2: What happened?
- 58:26Speaker 1: Because once that side item hits your neck and your
- 58:29Speaker 1: shit's dripping, bro, you got to tighten up.
- 58:31Speaker 2: Yes.
- 58:33Speaker 1: You know, because that's just, man, that's so dangerous. If
- 58:34Speaker 1: you get hit by a side item and you're just,
- 58:38Speaker 1: then you're dripping, bro. How do you handle that? They
- 58:41Speaker 1: gave me an injection. And I woke up later wrapped up.
- 58:47Speaker 1: Just like that.
- 58:48Speaker 3: I woke up later, wrapped up.
- 58:51Speaker 2: The doctors told me that since I drove myself from
- 58:55Speaker 2: Columbia to Augusta that I can't leave. They told me
- 58:58Speaker 2: somebody has to come get me. My oldest daughter lives
- 59:01Speaker 2: in Atlanta. I called Jazz. She came to get me. Naturally,
- 59:07Speaker 2: my daughter was ticked. She was upset?
- 59:10Speaker 3: Very much.
- 59:10Speaker 2: At you? At the whole situation. She does not like
- 59:13Speaker 2: the whole situation. And like she said to me, Daddy,
- 59:16Speaker 2: you already know, and I'm not going to get on you.
- 59:19Speaker 2: We'll talk about it later. You know, so I had
- 59:25Speaker 2: to respect that. She took me home. My youngest daughter, Unique,
- 59:30Speaker 2: she came, checked in on me for a few days.
- 59:33Speaker 1: And what was it like? Did you have to stand up?
- 59:35Speaker 1: Were you allowed to lay down? Did you have to
- 59:37Speaker 1: sleep standing.
- 59:37Speaker 2: Up or what?
- 59:38Speaker 1: No.
- 59:40Speaker 3: You lay down.
- 59:42Speaker 2: It's really weird because you have to change your bandage
- 59:47Speaker 2: every now and then. You have to keep it clean
- 59:49Speaker 2: because you have open burns.
- 59:53Speaker 1: Hell yeah, baby.
- 59:55Speaker 2: You know, now it's come back in nice, you know,
- 59:57Speaker 2: because the ointment they gave me. And then I was
- 1:00:00Speaker 2: putting cocoa butter on it almost every day. I recovered.
- 1:00:05Speaker 2: My skin has recovered. My mind has recovered. Our relationship
- 1:00:13Speaker 2: regarding that event, we've moved past it. We have recovered.
- 1:00:19Speaker 3: And now we're on to.
- 1:00:21Speaker 2: other issues that are messing with the friendship or the relationship.
- 1:00:27Speaker 1: Got it what do you uh what do the ladies
- 1:00:31Speaker 1: need most man if you want to keep a lady
- 1:00:33Speaker 1: you think what do the ladies need most you think.
- 1:00:36Speaker 2: If i want to keep one what do they need
- 1:00:38Speaker 2: most one trust trust understand that During the course of
- 1:00:47Speaker 2: my life, the serious relationships that I've had, and I
- 1:00:50Speaker 2: do understand when people explain to me that my personality
- 1:00:55Speaker 2: has caused issues because I'm a friendly guy. I'm a
- 1:00:58Speaker 2: talkative guy. I like to smile. And I'm a handsome guy.
- 1:01:01Speaker 2: So a lot of times women.
- 1:01:03Speaker 1: You look like Randy Moss. People tell you that a lot?
- 1:01:05Speaker 2: No.
- 1:01:06Speaker 1: I've heard- Samuel L. Jackson.
- 1:01:08Speaker 2: Different type of dudes, man. My thing is I'm a
- 1:01:13Speaker 2: social guy.
- 1:01:14Speaker 1: Gerald LaVert. Anybody ever say that?
- 1:01:16Speaker 2: No.
- 1:01:16Speaker 1: No.
- 1:01:17Speaker 3: I have a flirtatious personality. Oh, yeah, you do. So
- 1:01:20Speaker 3: that will- That don't help with relationships. No, it doesn't.
- 1:01:24Speaker 2: And I can't help it because I'm a social guy.
- 1:01:26Speaker 2: I mean, I love people. I like to talk. I
- 1:01:29Speaker 2: try to keep the flirting down to a minimum, especially
- 1:01:32Speaker 2: if I'm involved with somebody.
- 1:01:34Speaker 3: But y'all, I'm a Scorpio. Can't help it.
- 1:01:37Speaker 2: We out there.
- 1:01:38Speaker 3: It's ingrained in us.
- 1:01:39Speaker 1: It's in us, man. And I'm not even a Scorpio.
- 1:01:42Speaker 1: But how about this? People say the bedroom plays a
- 1:01:45Speaker 1: big part in a life and a relationship. Do you
- 1:01:47Speaker 1: believe that that's true or not?
- 1:01:49Speaker 2: Yes, it does.
- 1:01:51Speaker 3: It does because I'm 60 now. I'll be 61.
- 1:01:57Speaker 2: There's changes going on in my body.
- 1:02:01Speaker 3: I'm not as strong as I once was. You know.
- 1:02:08Speaker 3: Like in boxing.
- 1:02:10Speaker 2: One time there was 15 round prize fights. Now they're
- 1:02:13Speaker 2: 12 rounds. You know, my body's beginning to fail. You know,
- 1:02:18Speaker 2: it's different. And that causes problems. Oh, yeah.
- 1:02:23Speaker 1: My shit's a Jake Paul fight. My shit will take
- 1:02:24Speaker 1: a fall in the second round.
- 1:02:26Speaker 2: You feel me? You know, I mean, I'm getting older.
- 1:02:31Speaker 2: So the body's acting different. But the experience kicks in.
- 1:02:36Speaker 1: Okay.
- 1:02:37Speaker 3: The experience kicks in.
- 1:02:39Speaker 1: What's your biggest sexual move, if you had to think physically,
- 1:02:42Speaker 1: if you had to even.
- 1:02:44Speaker 2: My biggest sexual move or sexual act?
- 1:02:48Speaker 1: Yeah, probably act maybe or just ability.
- 1:02:51Speaker 2: Put it like this. For example, I love to eat fruit.
- 1:03:02Speaker 2: I love to eat fruit, especially my little baby. I mean.
- 1:03:10Speaker 2: I remember in the past, I've had, I've made women
- 1:03:17Speaker 2: speak alien. Forget speaking a foreign dialect, y'all. I've made
- 1:03:21Speaker 2: them speak alien, okay? They don't even know what the
- 1:03:24Speaker 2: hell they even said, you know? And we get past that.
- 1:03:27Speaker 2: We just laugh.
- 1:03:28Speaker 3: I stop and go, what was that you said? I
- 1:03:30Speaker 3: don't even know. Just go on and finish, okay? You know?
- 1:03:34Speaker 1: You out here duo lico.
- 1:03:36Speaker 2: Man.
- 1:03:37Speaker 1: Duo lingo, duo lico, homie. You out there teaching. You
- 1:03:40Speaker 1: teaching new languages, Stan.
- 1:03:42Speaker 3: Man, make them speak alien, man.
- 1:03:43Speaker 1: That's it, bro.
- 1:03:44Speaker 2: You know?
- 1:03:45Speaker 1: Yeah. That's it, boy. Exactly. Dang. Has a ride, a
- 1:03:52Speaker 1: passenger ever led to a date or a relationship, even
- 1:03:55Speaker 1: in a professional, you know, not like at that moment,
- 1:03:57Speaker 1: but like let's talk and say hey another time?
- 1:04:00Speaker 2: No, no, no. I won't.
- 1:04:02Speaker 3: I won't do it. It's against my ethics.
- 1:04:05Speaker 1: What if a passenger starts to pass out or something?
- 1:04:08Speaker 1: Are you licensed to know CPR? Are you licensed to
- 1:04:11Speaker 1: know any medical skills? Do you think was there ever
- 1:04:15Speaker 1: an emergency you had to do something?
- 1:04:16Speaker 3: No, and if there is an emergency, I'm going to
- 1:04:18Speaker 3: do two things.
- 1:04:20Speaker 2: I'm going to Waze, and I'm going to look for
- 1:04:21Speaker 2: the nearest emergency room, and I'm going to hit 911.
- 1:04:25Speaker 1: Gang, gang, gang.
- 1:04:26Speaker 3: And I'm not stopping at any red lights.
- 1:04:28Speaker 1: Amen, baby. What do you think about Waymos when you
- 1:04:31Speaker 1: see them, those Waymos?
- 1:04:32Speaker 2: Waymo?
- 1:04:34Speaker 1: What's that? Bring up a Waymo if you can for Stan.
- 1:04:41Speaker 1: It's a driverless car they got now.
- 1:04:44Speaker 2: Nah, uh-uh. Nah, nah, nah. I don't like driverless cars, man.
- 1:04:48Speaker 2: I don't like driverless cars at all, at all. At all,
- 1:04:52Speaker 2: because what that's going to do is eventually that's going
- 1:04:55Speaker 2: to eliminate us chauffeurs. Okay? Nah, I'm not, no, no, no, no, no.
- 1:04:59Speaker 2: And then if that driverless car happens to hit somebody
- 1:05:02Speaker 2: like me or my kid, I can't drag nobody out
- 1:05:05Speaker 2: by like the ankle and beat them up. Yeah.
- 1:05:08Speaker 3: I've done that before.
- 1:05:09Speaker 2: I dragged a man out of his car by his
- 1:05:11Speaker 2: ankle in front of Lincoln Center on Christmas Day 99.
- 1:05:14Speaker 3: Yeah, man.
- 1:05:15Speaker 1: Shit got intense, huh?
- 1:05:16Speaker 2: No, he happened to, he was a taxi driver. And
- 1:05:19Speaker 2: I had just bought a conversion van in Charlotte. And
- 1:05:21Speaker 2: I drove it up to New York for Christmas. Now,
- 1:05:24Speaker 2: I'm leaving New York. I'm on my way to the
- 1:05:26Speaker 2: Lincoln Tunnel. And a cab driver hits my van after
- 1:05:29Speaker 2: I passed him. And I asked him, why did you
- 1:05:33Speaker 2: hit me? I mean, I was past you. And he
- 1:05:36Speaker 2: said something dumb. I don't even remember what it was.
- 1:05:38Speaker 2: But at that particular time, remember, y'all, this was in 99.
- 1:05:42Speaker 2: I still had that New York mentality. I dragged him
- 1:05:46Speaker 2: out of his car by his ankle and beat the
- 1:05:48Speaker 2: dude up and... You went to jail for it? Yeah,
- 1:05:52Speaker 2: I went to jail in Manhattan and what happened was
- 1:05:58Speaker 2: I had to pay his hospital bill, restitution, you know,
- 1:06:04Speaker 2: the OB good program for a year.
- 1:06:06Speaker 1: Type shit. Were you in jail for Christmas?
- 1:06:10Speaker 2: No.
- 1:06:12Speaker 1: You ever been in jail for Christmas? Yes, once. What's
- 1:06:15Speaker 1: it like in there? What's that like?
- 1:06:17Speaker 2: It's not good. I was locked up in Charlotte over
- 1:06:23Speaker 2: the holidays. There's a lot of guys that are unhappy.
- 1:06:28Speaker 2: You know, guys are depressed. I think I got out
- 1:06:32Speaker 2: two days after Christmas or, you know, yeah. Um, but
- 1:06:36Speaker 2: that was okay. Um, I got out and was crazy, um,
- 1:06:40Speaker 2: because this was with me and my second wife. Once again,
- 1:06:43Speaker 2: I had a young lady who, you know, would drink
- 1:06:46Speaker 2: a little things would go on here and there. Um,
- 1:06:50Speaker 2: once again, another good girl, but you know, it just
- 1:06:55Speaker 2: wasn't right. And, um, I was in jail for over
- 1:06:59Speaker 2: like the, uh, Christmas thing. And, um, But once again,
- 1:07:04Speaker 2: now we have a very good relationship. She's the mother
- 1:07:07Speaker 2: of my daughter, Unique, and my son, Tariq. I was young.
- 1:07:11Speaker 3: She was young.
- 1:07:12Speaker 1: And that's it. Yeah. That's life, man.
- 1:07:15Speaker 3: Young people, you know, with issues, you know.
- 1:07:21Speaker 1: Yeah. Every young person have issues. And then you're always
- 1:07:24Speaker 1: young to another age. So it's like the issues never stop.
- 1:07:29Speaker 1: Have you ever learned anything from a passenger? Like, has
- 1:07:31Speaker 1: there ever been a passenger that you really learned something
- 1:07:33Speaker 1: really valuable from?
- 1:07:34Speaker 2: Yes. Yes. Yes. I've had some passengers that I was
- 1:07:39Speaker 2: talking to one day. It was an old couple. Old couple.
- 1:07:43Speaker 2: And I was talking about my multiple failed marriages. And
- 1:07:47Speaker 2: they set me up, y'all. Yeah. The lady said to me, oh,
- 1:07:52Speaker 2: let me guess. You did your 50%. They did their 50%, right?
- 1:07:56Speaker 2: I'm all proud. I'm like, yeah, but it still went wrong.
- 1:08:00Speaker 2: And they said to me, you know what? That's where
- 1:08:01Speaker 2: you effed up. I mean, this old couple, they started
- 1:08:04Speaker 2: getting aggressive. They told me that I was supposed to
- 1:08:07Speaker 2: do 100% and she was supposed to do 100%.
- 1:08:10Speaker 3: And that's where people mess up. And they had been together.
- 1:08:14Speaker 3: They were in.
- 1:08:15Speaker 2: Their 80s or so. All their life.
- 1:08:21Speaker 3: They told me 100%, 100%.
- 1:08:21Speaker 2: You know? Yeah, it's interesting.
- 1:08:25Speaker 1: Because you think about it differently kind of. That's a
- 1:08:28Speaker 1: different approach to a marriage to a day. Oh, just
- 1:08:31Speaker 1: because now there's two of us, we each have to
- 1:08:32Speaker 1: do 59. Now there's two of us, we both get
- 1:08:34Speaker 1: to do 100.
- 1:08:35Speaker 2: They said you have to do 100% all the time.
- 1:08:38Speaker 1: That's beautiful, man.
- 1:08:40Speaker 2: You know? And another thing they told me, the man
- 1:08:43Speaker 2: told me, he told me to tell her, yes, dear,
- 1:08:47Speaker 2: twice as much as you say no, dear. Mm-hmm. Yep.
- 1:08:53Speaker 1: Have you ever driven any, um, Asian people or anything
- 1:08:57Speaker 1: like that or.
- 1:09:00Speaker 3: No, I haven't had any Asians.
- 1:09:02Speaker 2: I've had athletes, entertainers, uh, some very, very, very rich
- 1:09:09Speaker 2: people over the years. Um, Regular people. I really love
- 1:09:14Speaker 2: the common man. Oh, yeah. I love the, you know,
- 1:09:17Speaker 2: like the Saturday night people. You know, those that are
- 1:09:20Speaker 2: looking to have a good time.
- 1:09:22Speaker 1: Especially South Carolina, man. They got such a good energy
- 1:09:25Speaker 1: over there. Yeah. You know, because you almost got the
- 1:09:27Speaker 1: Palmetto's kind of milling around. You got big energy over there.
- 1:09:31Speaker 2: You got the beach not too far away. You know,
- 1:09:35Speaker 2: I mean, from North and South Carolina, they have a
- 1:09:40Speaker 2: good location because... You have the beach, whether it's Myrtle Beach,
- 1:09:49Speaker 2: let's see, Charleston. You know, you have Fayetteville that you
- 1:09:55Speaker 2: figure two, three hours away going east. Then you have two,
- 1:09:58Speaker 2: three hours away going west. You begin to go into
- 1:10:01Speaker 2: the mountains in North and South Carolina.
- 1:10:03Speaker 3: You go a little further. You're over here in Tennessee.
- 1:10:06Speaker 3: I mean, it's great.
- 1:10:07Speaker 2: We don't get snow. You know, we don't really have
- 1:10:10Speaker 2: to worry too much about the hurricanes. I mean, it's great,
- 1:10:13Speaker 2: but you definitely have to worry about mosquitoes.
- 1:10:15Speaker 1: And you got to worry about these bad bitches pulling up.
- 1:10:18Speaker 2: Man, they got the women down here. Yeah. The South
- 1:10:22Speaker 2: has the women, and since the weather's a little warmer,
- 1:10:24Speaker 2: you know the women wear a little less. You know?
- 1:10:27Speaker 3: Make a man burn out his retina or something, man.
- 1:10:29Speaker 1: I know, bro. That's why you got them glasses, bro.
- 1:10:32Speaker 2: Detachacornial looking at them, man. You know? Wow, bro.
- 1:10:36Speaker 1: I thought you hurt my own neck. That's what really happened.
- 1:10:38Speaker 1: That's why you had that thing on. You hurt your neck.
- 1:10:39Speaker 2: Hey, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait. That's like, I tell
- 1:10:42Speaker 2: people since I have this fused neck, I be telling them, man, hey,
- 1:10:45Speaker 2: my neck is on a swivel.
- 1:10:46Speaker 3: I mean, it's like this now.
- 1:10:48Speaker 2: That's another thing that It's good for the ladies. I
- 1:10:53Speaker 2: got a metal neck, brother.
- 1:10:54Speaker 1: Oof.
- 1:10:55Speaker 2: Yeah, man.
- 1:10:56Speaker 1: We gonna be, yeah.
- 1:10:57Speaker 2: I got a metal neck. You know, hey, you got time, miss.
- 1:11:01Speaker 2: We gonna be here for a while.
- 1:11:02Speaker 1: Yeah, I got that. Oh, here come old metal neck.
- 1:11:06Speaker 1: You know what I mean? Yeah.
- 1:11:08Speaker 2: You know? Like, God dang.
- 1:11:09Speaker 1: That's like just attaching your kitten to a little hitching post, baby.
- 1:11:13Speaker 1: Here come old Metal Neck. Put some money in the meter.
- 1:11:16Speaker 2: Man.
- 1:11:17Speaker 1: We're going to be here.
- 1:11:18Speaker 2: C4, 5, 6, 7, and 8. It's all fused. It's titanium.
- 1:11:21Speaker 2: But most people, they don't have this type of mobility.
- 1:11:25Speaker 2: I mean, most people with this much surgery, they're a
- 1:11:27Speaker 2: little messed up.
- 1:11:28Speaker 1: Yeah. Not this dog.
- 1:11:29Speaker 2: For some reason, nah, man. I mean, the only thing
- 1:11:33Speaker 2: that I can't do is... hardcore things. I don't lift
- 1:11:37Speaker 2: up stuff. I can't run because my back is fused,
- 1:11:40Speaker 2: but I'm 60, 61. I'm not playing basketball no more,
- 1:11:42Speaker 2: so where am I running? You're chilling, bro.
- 1:11:45Speaker 1: All you're doing is running into your future, Stan, and
- 1:11:47Speaker 1: that's what sounds exciting. What I do love, man, is
- 1:11:50Speaker 1: that you're still excited about your life. You're excited about
- 1:11:52Speaker 1: your future. You're excited about love, making love, continuing to
- 1:11:56Speaker 1: have love out of the people you have in your
- 1:11:58Speaker 1: life or the possibility of new love coming into your life, man.
- 1:12:01Speaker 1: That's what life's about, man, and I think that's one
- 1:12:03Speaker 1: thing that Just your energy is infectious, man.
- 1:12:06Speaker 3: It's electric, y'all.
- 1:12:07Speaker 1: It's electric. If people want to see you, when they
- 1:12:10Speaker 1: come in, we'll put your info so people can reach
- 1:12:11Speaker 1: out and show for with Stan, man. It's a one-of-a-kind adventure.
- 1:12:18Speaker 3: I'm telling y'all, it's the Stan experience.
- 1:12:21Speaker 1: We got picked up, man. It was me, my buddy CB,
- 1:12:25Speaker 1: my buddy... Who else was with us?
- 1:12:28Speaker 3: It was three guys with you.
- 1:12:30Speaker 1: Oh, it was my buddy CB, DJ, Parker, and me. Yeah.
- 1:12:36Speaker 1: That's it. My tall friend Parker was there, too. It
- 1:12:38Speaker 1: was a tall guy. Bro, and we pulled up at
- 1:12:40Speaker 1: that Wendy's, bro. We pulled up at the Wendy's and
- 1:12:42Speaker 1: told that lady at the front you was a domestic abuser.
- 1:12:44Speaker 1: Remember that?
- 1:12:45Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:12:46Speaker 3: We had the young lady at.
- 1:12:48Speaker 1: And she was still flirting with you.
- 1:12:49Speaker 3: At the Wendy's tongue-tied.
- 1:12:51Speaker 1: Yeah. And she was still flirting with you. She tried
- 1:12:53Speaker 1: to give you an extra little freezer... Freezing cup, freezing cup.
- 1:12:57Speaker 2: Nah, I mean.
- 1:12:59Speaker 1: And then that lady, remember we had to pull a
- 1:13:02Speaker 1: four to get that last sandwich. When they say that shit,
- 1:13:04Speaker 1: we're the only person in line. I'm like, can you
- 1:13:06Speaker 1: pull forward and wait?
- 1:13:07Speaker 3: Yeah, that's right.
- 1:13:08Speaker 2: Yeah, I was talking about pull up, and I happen
- 1:13:10Speaker 2: to look in the mirror.
- 1:13:11Speaker 3: I'm like, what, is there a crowd behind us or something?
- 1:13:14Speaker 2: You know what I mean?
- 1:13:15Speaker 1: Bro, just make four sandwiches. It's like they can make three,
- 1:13:18Speaker 1: but they can't make four, man.
- 1:13:20Speaker 2: Yeah, they had to come up talking about, oh.
- 1:13:22Speaker 1: Is this a special order? Yeah, dang, bro.
- 1:13:25Speaker 3: I mean, that's what you do.
- 1:13:26Speaker 1: Yeah. But blessings, man. That was a great experience. We
- 1:13:29Speaker 1: had a great time, man. I just want to thank
- 1:13:31Speaker 1: you so much for coming and hanging out. So anybody
- 1:13:33Speaker 1: could be a chauffeur, but it takes, it's not just
- 1:13:37Speaker 1: you driving, it's driving an experience for people. It's setting
- 1:13:42Speaker 1: yourself secondary to your customer, making sure to keep space
- 1:13:46Speaker 1: between you and the car in front of you, keep
- 1:13:47Speaker 1: your head on a swivel.
- 1:13:50Speaker 3: Make sure that they have a good time.
- 1:13:52Speaker 1: And make sure that they have a good time. That's
- 1:13:53Speaker 1: what Stan does, man. Stan, thank you so much, bro,
- 1:13:56Speaker 1: for spending time and hanging out, bro.
- 1:13:58Speaker 2: All the love.
- 1:13:59Speaker 1: Good luck to the Gamecocks the rest of the season, man.
- 1:14:01Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:14:02Speaker 3: Thanks, Theo.
- 1:14:03Speaker 1: And maybe we'll get to do this again sometime.
- 1:14:05Speaker 2: Hey, brother, anytime, man. I mean, I'm in Columbia. This
- 1:14:10Speaker 2: is only if I get my Jeep and drive here, man.
- 1:14:14Speaker 2: It's only seven and a half hours away. 77 straight
- 1:14:17Speaker 2: to Statesville. Make that left and get on I-40 and
- 1:14:19Speaker 2: get off right over here.
- 1:14:21Speaker 1: What's the longest ride you ever had to take somebody on, man? Um.
- 1:14:24Speaker 2: I took some people from Columbia to Jackson, Mississippi, because
- 1:14:31Speaker 2: they are restauranters. They have a restaurant in the Columbia Airport,
- 1:14:34Speaker 2: and they were opening up one in the Jackson, Mississippi Airport.
- 1:14:37Speaker 2: We were there for three or four days. I drove
- 1:14:40Speaker 2: them back. That was a nice little drive. What was
- 1:14:43Speaker 2: the tab on that one, you think?
- 1:14:45Speaker 3: I have no idea.
- 1:14:46Speaker 1: You don't know. That's not your deal. No.
- 1:14:47Speaker 2: I've taken some other people to Orlando, down to... to
- 1:14:53Speaker 2: the hotel, I guess they were going to Disney. But
- 1:14:55Speaker 2: as a New Yorker, I'm conditioned to drive up to
- 1:14:59Speaker 2: the Bronx at a phone call. Somebody call, hey man, this, that,
- 1:15:02Speaker 2: and the other's going on, you know, family. I may
- 1:15:06Speaker 2: have to go, you know.
- 1:15:08Speaker 1: Any ladies of the night, you ever drive any ladies
- 1:15:11Speaker 1: of the night, any escorts or anything like that?
- 1:15:12Speaker 3: Oh my God, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes.
- 1:15:14Speaker 1: Really?
- 1:15:15Speaker 2: Oh yes, yes, yes. And at one point in Charlotte,
- 1:15:19Speaker 2: I was the driver for this dude that had about
- 1:15:22Speaker 2: three or four girls who stayed at this house. He
- 1:15:25Speaker 2: told me he was their manager and I was their driver.
- 1:15:31Speaker 2: One of the young ladies, you know, she picked me
- 1:15:35Speaker 2: and I drove them to their appointments. But like I
- 1:15:39Speaker 2: told the girls, I'll drop you off. I'm not sitting outside.
- 1:15:42Speaker 2: I will come back and pick you up because if
- 1:15:44Speaker 2: you're sitting outside, then you're part of the organization if
- 1:15:47Speaker 2: they get arrested.
- 1:15:48Speaker 1: Right.
- 1:15:48Speaker 2: No, no, no, no, no. I'm transportation. I'm paid transportation.
- 1:15:51Speaker 2: I drop off and then I come back and get them.
- 1:15:54Speaker 2: But I had to leave them alone. I was making
- 1:15:56Speaker 2: a little money off them. And then one day the guy.
- 1:16:00Speaker 1: The manager?
- 1:16:01Speaker 2: Yeah, the manager. I think he called himself Script or
- 1:16:04Speaker 2: something dumb like that. He said to me, hey, yo, Stan, man,
- 1:16:07Speaker 2: I need to talk to you about a payment arrangement.
- 1:16:09Speaker 2: I'm like, a payment arrangement? What you talking about?
- 1:16:11Speaker 3: He gonna say to me, man, do you think I
- 1:16:14Speaker 3: could pay you in pink? I said, in pink?
- 1:16:16Speaker 2: The fuck you talking about? He said, man, like the females.
- 1:16:19Speaker 2: I told him, no, dog, I don't want that nasty shit.
- 1:16:22Speaker 2: I got a woman home. I get out my bed
- 1:16:24Speaker 2: for green. Now, that's what you can pay me. Green. Money.
- 1:16:28Speaker 3: You know, pink? I don't want no pink.
- 1:16:30Speaker 1: And what did it seem like, them ladies? It seemed
- 1:16:31Speaker 1: like they were doing okay? Because that's a fair job.
- 1:16:33Speaker 1: They're just out there getting their money.
- 1:16:35Speaker 2: Brother, them young ladies are all cute. All of them
- 1:16:39Speaker 2: look nice. Monday, Mondays, and like Thursdays, they're going to
- 1:16:45Speaker 2: do their nails. Something like Wednesdays, Wait, Thursdays would be
- 1:16:49Speaker 2: nails and hair because they got to get ready for
- 1:16:51Speaker 2: the weekend. Monday, they trying to straighten themselves up from
- 1:16:54Speaker 2: the weekend.
- 1:16:57Speaker 1: Yeah, Tuesday and Wednesday hit the gym a little.
- 1:17:00Speaker 2: Yeah, they were cool. What I didn't like was when
- 1:17:03Speaker 2: the girls would try and flash. to her like me. Whoa,
- 1:17:08Speaker 2: wait a minute. That shit doesn't impress me. Matter of fact,
- 1:17:11Speaker 2: put that away.
- 1:17:11Speaker 1: I don't need that.
- 1:17:12Speaker 2: Nah, uh-uh, nah, uh-uh.
- 1:17:14Speaker 3: Put that away. That's not part of the thing, you know?
- 1:17:16Speaker 1: Yeah, because that's a big industry, man. You know, I
- 1:17:18Speaker 1: have friends that work in sex work and stuff like that,
- 1:17:20Speaker 1: and that's a big industry, and, you know. What else
- 1:17:24Speaker 1: was I thinking about? Oh, yeah, let me see this.
- 1:17:27Speaker 2: Oh, yeah.
- 1:17:27Speaker 1: Oh, this is one more thing, actually. I want to
- 1:17:29Speaker 1: say this. Is stabbing someone above the waist worse than
- 1:17:31Speaker 1: below the waist legally? Stabbing someone above the waist is
- 1:17:34Speaker 1: generally considered more serious legally because it increases the risk
- 1:17:37Speaker 1: of severe injury or death. Legal consequences for stabbing above
- 1:17:41Speaker 1: the waist can be harsher, as it may be classified
- 1:17:43Speaker 1: as attempted murder.
- 1:17:44Speaker 2: That's it.
- 1:17:45Speaker 1: Stabbing below the waist, while still a serious felony, may
- 1:17:47Speaker 1: sometimes be considered less immediately life-threatening unless it causes delusibility
- 1:17:57Speaker 1: or hits major arteries. So that's it, man. Hit them low, boy.
- 1:18:02Speaker 1: They don't see you coming, baby.
- 1:18:03Speaker 2: Man. Hit them low.
- 1:18:05Speaker 1: Stan, we love you, bro. Thank you for pulling up, man.
- 1:18:07Speaker 1: Blessings to you.
- 1:18:08Speaker 2: Yes.
- 1:18:09Speaker 1: And we'll see you in the future, baby.
- 1:18:10Speaker 2: Yes. And other than that, people, if you're looking for me,
- 1:18:14Speaker 2: you can also keep an eye on the OG Poet
- 1:18:18Speaker 2: because I do poetry, y'all, and I'm fierce. He is.
- 1:18:21Speaker 1: I've heard him do some last time when we were
- 1:18:23Speaker 1: in your car, right, before you dropped us off. You
- 1:18:24Speaker 1: did a couple for us. Maybe we'll have you come
- 1:18:27Speaker 1: back and do some next time.
- 1:18:28Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah. Other than that, people, y'all know how to
- 1:18:30Speaker 2: contact me. give y'all the avenues to contact me. And
- 1:18:36Speaker 2: if you want me to come do some poetry, I
- 1:18:38Speaker 2: got some for y'all.
- 1:18:39Speaker 1: Yeah, we'll make sure that all your information's in there, dude.
- 1:18:41Speaker 2: Yes.
- 1:18:42Speaker 1: And that people can... But there's just nobody better. If
- 1:18:44Speaker 1: you want to have an experience in Columbia, South Carolina,
- 1:18:47Speaker 1: I don't think there could be a better one.
- 1:18:49Speaker 3: Nah, I got you.
- 1:18:50Speaker 2: We gonna have a good time.
- 1:18:51Speaker 1: Than with this man right here. Thank you, Stan.
- 1:18:53Speaker 2: All right. cornerstone oh but when i reach that ground
- 1:19:07Speaker 2: i'll share this piece of mind i found i can
