- 0:00SPEAKER_01: You bring up an interesting question.
- 0:01SPEAKER_01: So you get you know somebody that they really want these JLo residency tickets in in Vegas.
- 0:06SPEAKER_00: Yes, and they want them for their birthday.
- 0:09SPEAKER_00: But my friend says, no, that's more of like a Christmas gift.
- 0:12SPEAKER_00: Christmas is the big gift.
- 0:14SPEAKER_00: And that seems like a lot of money to spend on a birthday.
- 0:16SPEAKER_01: And you said the the your friend that said that that it should be Christmas is a guy.
- 0:21SPEAKER_01: Yes.
- 0:22SPEAKER_01: I said, sounds to me like the guy wants to get one big Christmas present, little effort, because you can buy tickets online, you know.
- 0:29SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 0:30SPEAKER_01: Uh little effort because then he doesn't have to trudge around, figure out what her perfume is, which one.
- 0:35SPEAKER_01: Oh, a piece of jewelry that she might like for Christmas, or maybe an outfit, or the candle she likes, or you know, something.
- 0:43SPEAKER_01: You know, you know what I mean.
- 0:44SPEAKER_00: But she'll love J Love.
- 0:45SPEAKER_01: Well, she will, but here's the thing.
- 0:48SPEAKER_01: If you give, then you've all then you're really only getting one gift for Christmas, okay?
- 0:52SPEAKER_01: And to me, Christmas should be a series of a few.
- 0:54SPEAKER_01: You don't have to go over the top and have 20 things.
- 0:57SPEAKER_01: If you're an adult, five things is great.
- 0:59SPEAKER_01: Yeah, oh, absolutely.
- 1:00SPEAKER_01: Five five even seems a lot.
- 1:02SPEAKER_01: And you better make them worth my while.
- 1:03SPEAKER_01: Uh, but anyway, uh, but for your birthday, that's a day that's all about you.
- 1:08SPEAKER_01: That is a you day.
- 1:09SPEAKER_01: It is your birthday.
- 1:11SPEAKER_00: So you're saying And this is your birthday song.
- 1:13SPEAKER_01: It is very long.
- 1:14SPEAKER_00: Give the gift for the birthday.
- 1:16SPEAKER_01: Yes, and then it says you, not who.
- 1:20SPEAKER_01: Uh, here's your one big Christmas present, and now let's watch everybody else open presents because you're only getting one thing.
- 1:26SPEAKER_00: I can also see why you well, I'm gonna go with you on this for one thing.
- 1:31SPEAKER_00: I can see why you wouldn't want to do Christmas because you also have to buy for your mom and dad and sibling.
- 1:37SPEAKER_00: You have to buy for a lot of people.
- 1:38SPEAKER_01: That's another factor, but there is there is the guy lazy factor, let's be real.
- 1:43SPEAKER_00: Well, yes.
- 1:43SPEAKER_00: I and I do understand that Christmas is the big holiday.
- 1:46SPEAKER_00: It's the big kahuna of holidays.
- 1:48SPEAKER_00: But I wouldn't choose to spend all of my money for Christmas.
- 1:52SPEAKER_00: Here, let's read this text.
- 1:54SPEAKER_00: No, I think the tickets themselves are good enough, especially with today's economy.
- 1:58SPEAKER_00: Unless the guy has a real good job and makes lots of money, then okay, do the whole package or give it to her for her birthday and say, This is your birthday uh and Christmas?
- 2:09SPEAKER_00: Wait, uh, this is you this is for your birthday.
- 2:11SPEAKER_00: For Christmas, just give her a few smaller things, maybe even things that she could use when she goes to the concert, like a shirt or something like that.
- 2:18SPEAKER_01: So you're saying that that you'll buy the tickets, but the airfare and all that's up to her in the hotel?
- 2:24SPEAKER_00: That's what it sounds like.
- 2:26SPEAKER_00: That's bold.
- 2:27SPEAKER_00: That's bold.
- 2:28SPEAKER_00: Well, I think it's a good thing.
- 2:29SPEAKER_01: No, actually, there's an example there's an exception to that.
- 2:31SPEAKER_01: If I'm going with you to the J-Lo, you know, residency, yeah, then yes, I've bought you the tickets.
- 2:39SPEAKER_01: Let's figure out together how we're gonna get there, whether we're gonna buy a cheap airline, whether we're you know what I mean?
- 2:46SPEAKER_01: We got time to figure that out because these tickets usually are like, well, I purchased them now for a show that's in May next year of 2027.
- 2:53SPEAKER_01: You see what I did?
- 2:55SPEAKER_00: That's how I did no doubt.
- 2:56SPEAKER_00: No doubt tickets were purchased way before the airline was.
- 2:59SPEAKER_01: I can live with that because I think the tickets are pretty expensive, and then you come up with the plan of getting there together because it's the mutual vacation.
- 3:06SPEAKER_01: Now, if she doesn't plan to take you with her, in other words, you know, she's like, Well, I'm gonna take my sister or I'm gonna take my girlfriend, then you're a hundred percent buying your own tickets for for the airfare and the hotel.
- 3:17SPEAKER_00: Yes, yes, that's on you.
- 3:19SPEAKER_00: Your sister can buy you that for a birthday gift.
- 3:21SPEAKER_01: Right.
- 3:21SPEAKER_01: Oh my God.
- 3:22SPEAKER_01: I hope your sister has a good job with airline tickets.
- 3:24SPEAKER_01: But here's a great example.
- 3:25SPEAKER_01: Even Tiffany mentioned this for the birthday thing and making it about you.
- 3:30SPEAKER_01: She's taking Jules.
- 3:31SPEAKER_01: So the weekend of the 17th in October, it's Jules' 22nd birthday.
- 3:36SPEAKER_01: They're gonna go up and do an overnight stay.
- 3:38SPEAKER_01: They're gonna do a Buffalo and uh Rochester shopping spree, where Tiffany will spend far too much money that she's gonna regret later, and and Jules will be happy as can be because she'll have a LaCroix uh Dutch oven.
- 3:52SPEAKER_01: A Le Cru I don't know Le Cruset.
- 3:57SPEAKER_01: Le Crus.
- 3:58SPEAKER_00: Anyway, so most expensive Dutch oven.
- 4:00SPEAKER_01: All I gotta eat is a set of sheets, and I could give you one.
- 4:03SPEAKER_00: A tuna a 22-year-old wants a Dutch oven?
- 4:05SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 4:06SPEAKER_00: Wow.
- 4:07SPEAKER_01: Oh, she must be quite a oh that she plans meals and everything for the whole week for her and her guy.
- 4:12SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 4:13SPEAKER_00: Little little Susie Homemaker, so early on.
- 4:16SPEAKER_01: She's more on top of it than I am.
- 4:17SPEAKER_00: She's like Martha Stewart.
- 4:18SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 4:19SPEAKER_00: Um, so she's not gonna be at our listener appreciation party.
- 4:22SPEAKER_01: No, they'll be celebrating the birthday.
- 4:24SPEAKER_01: It is what it is.
- 4:25SPEAKER_01: Oh.
- 4:26SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 4:26SPEAKER_01: Whatever.
- 4:27SPEAKER_00: Her daughter's more important than us at our 20th anniversary party.
- 4:30SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 4:31SPEAKER_00: More details on that coming up, by the way.
- 4:32SPEAKER_01: Yes, exactly.
- 4:34SPEAKER_01: Three, two, one.
- 4:36SPEAKER_01: You're listening to Scott and Allie.
- 4:38SPEAKER_01: Scott and Allie's Big Three.
- 4:39SPEAKER_00: Big three brought to you by ENV Energy for your home, your farm, your business.
- 4:44SPEAKER_00: Make sure you give them a call so they can deliver to you with no extra fees.
- 4:49SPEAKER_00: Uh, in an address to the United Nations General Assembly in New York yesterday, President Trump defended the Iran war while simul simultaneously threatening to increase military action and labeling himself a peacemaker.
- 5:02SPEAKER_00: It's finally come out.
- 5:04SPEAKER_00: Hayden Paneteri died from an accidental overdose of fentanyl.
- 5:07SPEAKER_00: Did I not call this?
- 5:08SPEAKER_00: I mean, I think we all did.
- 5:10SPEAKER_00: I think we all did.
- 5:11SPEAKER_00: And other drugs too.
- 5:13SPEAKER_00: They also said no foul play.
- 5:14SPEAKER_00: They didn't think there was any.
- 5:15SPEAKER_01: Oh, they did not.
- 5:16SPEAKER_01: They are investigating this and they think there's gonna be an arrest.
- 5:19SPEAKER_00: There is no the what I read so far, no trauma.
- 5:23SPEAKER_01: No, no trauma.
- 5:24SPEAKER_01: The question is where it came from.
- 5:26SPEAKER_01: Think of what's his face from friends.
- 5:28SPEAKER_01: Remember ketamine?
- 5:29SPEAKER_01: Oh, uh, the ketamine queen.
- 5:30SPEAKER_01: Uh Matthew Perry.
- 5:31SPEAKER_01: Matthew Perry, thank you.
- 5:32SPEAKER_01: Chandler Bang.
- 5:33SPEAKER_01: So they are now looking into where she got this cocktail because on the news last night, and I quote, the expert said, This is not something that is prescribed by a doctor, this combination.
- 5:46SPEAKER_01: And they call this, was it the Holy Trinity they call it?
- 5:49SPEAKER_01: Which is an eerie name because calling it that basically means it's gonna kill you.
- 5:53SPEAKER_01: You go in to see your maker.
- 5:55SPEAKER_00: Hold on a second.
- 5:56SPEAKER_00: I'm gonna give you what it is.
- 5:57SPEAKER_00: So it was I probably am saying all these things wrong.
- 6:02SPEAKER_00: So there was fentanyl.
- 6:03SPEAKER_00: Yep, alprazzolam, a lamading dog.
- 6:07SPEAKER_00: Sorry.
- 6:08SPEAKER_00: Methocur, wait, methocarbamol.
- 6:10SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 6:11SPEAKER_00: And this is the one I get stuck on.
- 6:13SPEAKER_00: It looks like quetiapine?
- 6:17SPEAKER_00: Quettiopine?
- 6:17SPEAKER_00: Quetiapine.
- 6:18SPEAKER_01: But they they say this.
- 6:19SPEAKER_00: This one I've never even heard of.
- 6:20SPEAKER_01: This is a cocktail never prescribed by a doctor.
- 6:24SPEAKER_00: Oh no, not a doctor.
- 6:25SPEAKER_00: But I also wonder if she was chasing a high though, too, because she's had a history of drug abuse.
- 6:32SPEAKER_01: Yeah, she was chasing the high with her boyfriend that everybody warned her.
- 6:34SPEAKER_01: This guy's not good to be around.
- 6:36SPEAKER_00: Mm-hmm.
- 6:37SPEAKER_00: Who's that's the guy you're gonna talk to?
- 6:41SPEAKER_01: Well, you can argue that point.
- 6:43SPEAKER_01: You're the one that's that struggles with addiction.
- 6:46SPEAKER_01: When do you stop and say no?
- 6:49SPEAKER_01: Which is a battle that any addict will tell you is a lifelong battle.
- 6:53SPEAKER_01: Michael Jackson.
- 6:54SPEAKER_00: I understand what they're the what's happening is this guy gave it to her.
- 6:58SPEAKER_00: It's like this is not the exact same as Michael Jackson, but it's the thing that I've always said with Michael.
- 7:03SPEAKER_00: Nobody would ever say no.
- 7:04SPEAKER_00: Yeah, same with Matthew Perry.
- 7:05SPEAKER_00: Right.
- 7:05SPEAKER_00: They were always like, here's a bajillion vials of propofol.
- 7:10SPEAKER_00: You'll be fine.
- 7:10SPEAKER_00: Oh, you want some ketamine, Matt?
- 7:11SPEAKER_00: Here you go.
- 7:12SPEAKER_00: You'll be fine.
- 7:13SPEAKER_00: Anyway, uh one uh one last one, too.
- 7:16SPEAKER_00: This is uh about an influencer named Clavicular Clavic.
- 7:22SPEAKER_00: Wait.
- 7:23SPEAKER_00: Let me say this again.
- 7:25SPEAKER_00: Clavicular.
- 7:26SPEAKER_00: Clavicular.
- 7:27SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 7:28SPEAKER_00: Uh the influencer whose name, his real name is Braden Peters, was charged with rape and drug offenses in Massachusetts.
- 7:35SPEAKER_00: Oh my.
- 7:36SPEAKER_00: And they even said with a minor.
- 7:40SPEAKER_01: Well, guess who's not influencing anymore?
- 7:42SPEAKER_00: Oh, right.
- 7:43SPEAKER_00: I I think he already has.
- 7:45SPEAKER_00: Now, if you ever thought that voting was rigged, you're gonna love this story that I'm gonna give you in about an hour because I'm gonna definitely blow a total hole in the voting process.
- 7:58SPEAKER_01: Okay.
- 7:59SPEAKER_01: Well, I can't wait for this.
- 8:00SPEAKER_01: Controversy on the way.
