Giants Reeling After Sweep, Eldridge Out | Cincinnati Reds News
The Giants just got swept by the Red Sox, their seventh series loss in a row, and are heading home after a brutal 1-5 road trip. Rookie phenom Bryce Eldridge, who’s been a bright spot with 14 homers and solid play against Boston, is sidelined for at least three days to attend his grandfather’s funeral — missing all three games against the Reds. Back home for a critical seven-game homestand, they’ll face Cincinnati then Arizona, hoping to avoid hitting the 100-loss mark with a record of 52-78.
