- 0:35Speaker 1: Taken two weeks off in the middle of well whenever
- 0:38Speaker 1: we're working.
- 0:39Speaker 2: So this is going to be a long time, but
- 0:41Speaker 2: I'm looking forward to it.
- 0:42Speaker 3: You're going to enjoy it.
- 0:44Speaker 2: Yeah, but it's a long flight.
- 0:46Speaker 3: But it'll be worth it.
- 0:47Speaker 1: I broke this down yesterday. You're right, Christine, I can't
- 0:49Speaker 1: really complain. It'll be worth it when we get there.
- 0:51Speaker 1: And my wife always says, hey, if it was close,
- 0:53Speaker 1: everybody would do it. Part of the reward is, you know,
- 0:57Speaker 1: sucking it up through these long flights right, true, But
- 1:00Speaker 1: so Newark to San Francisco four fifty five, we leave today.
- 1:04Speaker 2: We land in San fran at eight eighteen. We have
- 1:07Speaker 2: two hours.
- 1:08Speaker 1: Actually oh too before we jump on a flight to
- 1:11Speaker 1: Singapore from San France.
- 1:13Speaker 2: So we get a two hour layover.
- 1:14Speaker 3: That's good. You need the time that.
- 1:15Speaker 1: My friend is a sixteen hour flight. We land in Singapore.
- 1:20Speaker 1: What time do we land in Singapore at.
- 1:22Speaker 2: Six sixteen am on Friday morning?
- 1:26Speaker 3: Okay?
- 1:27Speaker 2: Then we have an hour layover. We're not done flying.
- 1:30Speaker 3: Yeah, And we go.
- 1:31Speaker 1: From Singapore to Fouquette and we finally get there at
- 1:37Speaker 1: one fifteen pm wow on Friday. So I'm starting traveling today. Yeah,
- 1:45Speaker 1: and there is some like time time going on. So
- 1:50Speaker 1: again it's not right out if it's forty eight hours,
- 1:52Speaker 1: it's kind of like twenty eight hours.
- 1:54Speaker 2: I guess, yes, little hard to five and I'm losing traps.
- 1:57Speaker 3: You do need to que White Lotus music at some
- 2:00Speaker 3: point when we discuss Thailand. You're so ready to get
- 2:02Speaker 3: it ready.
- 2:03Speaker 2: You're so right? Yeah, I promise I'll have it before
- 2:05Speaker 2: we end.
- 2:05Speaker 1: The show today and then we're there for like a
- 2:09Speaker 1: week and then we start our trek back. But We're
- 2:11Speaker 1: going to stop in Bangkok on the way back and
- 2:13Speaker 1: stop in Tokyo on the way back.
- 2:15Speaker 2: It's so cool, so I'm looking forward to it.
- 2:17Speaker 3: It's a cool trip.
- 2:18Speaker 2: The kids will have a blast.
- 2:19Speaker 1: They've gotten really good at traveling, and they get unlimited
- 2:23Speaker 1: iPad because they get hardly any iPad at home, so
- 2:26Speaker 1: they know that when we travel, they get the iPad.
- 2:28Speaker 3: Oh that's good.
- 2:29Speaker 2: I don't know if they're excited about the trip or
- 2:31Speaker 2: about the iPad.
- 2:32Speaker 3: Whatever it takes.
- 2:34Speaker 2: Keep happy anyway, Please follow me.
- 2:36Speaker 1: I'm a big fan of putting things on my story.
- 2:39Speaker 1: I don't post a lot of pictures. It's mainly on
- 2:41Speaker 1: my story.
- 2:42Speaker 3: I know. I love your travels.
- 2:43Speaker 1: Yeah, so Instagram, Paul Kubby Bryant. I'm on Instagram, Paul
- 2:46Speaker 1: Kubby Bryant if you're interested to follow along, and of
- 2:49Speaker 1: course the Christine Naggy because you've got traveling going on
- 2:52Speaker 1: next week.
- 2:52Speaker 3: Thank you, Bryant. Yes, going up to Salem.
- 2:55Speaker 2: Salem, Massachusetts. Yes, that's next week.
- 2:58Speaker 3: Yeah, we're just going for a couple of nights and
- 3:00Speaker 3: I've just booked a couple of tours.
- 3:03Speaker 1: Wait, hold on, I'm going to be in trouble, so
- 3:08Speaker 1: these are the ghost tours.
- 3:09Speaker 2: Yes that Eric really doesn't know what you're doing, right, No.
- 3:13Speaker 3: So you know he don't know because he's sleeping right now,
- 3:16Speaker 3: which is perfect, so I can do all these things.
- 3:18Speaker 2: I guess is not really throwing him under the bus.
- 3:20Speaker 3: Oh no, not at all at all. No, I'm just
- 3:22Speaker 3: sharing because he's he's asleep. I booked, do you remember yesterday?
- 3:26Speaker 3: I was like, I don't know should I book? There's
- 3:28Speaker 3: vampire tours, which tours, then there's like history tours, and
- 3:32Speaker 3: then there's a ghost tour where you actually get to
- 3:34Speaker 3: be a ghost buster. And I booked the Ghostbuster tour
- 3:38Speaker 3: and was texting with him like a little bit because
- 3:40Speaker 3: he was working so he could only give me like
- 3:42Speaker 3: one word answers and he was I was like, do
- 3:44Speaker 3: you want to which a vampire? He said, anything but
- 3:48Speaker 3: the one with equipment, which is the Ghostbuster tour. So
- 3:51Speaker 3: what was the one? I had booked the one with
- 3:53Speaker 3: that one?
- 3:54Speaker 4: Right?
- 3:54Speaker 2: Right?
- 3:54Speaker 3: So then yesterday we finally get together because you know,
- 3:58Speaker 3: our hours lined up, and I asked him once again.
- 4:01Speaker 3: He's like, I don't want to do the Ghostbusters one,
- 4:04Speaker 3: and I said, well, okay, that's the one I booked
- 4:06Speaker 3: and then he said, well, then why do you ask
- 4:09Speaker 3: He's like, why do you ask me? And he's like,
- 4:12Speaker 3: I know, you keep asking me every different way, but
- 4:14Speaker 3: every time I'm going to say, I'd rather do the
- 4:16Speaker 3: History one. So here's what I did. I booked the
- 4:20Speaker 3: History one that's got some ghost stories in it. But
- 4:23Speaker 3: right afterwards is the Ghostbusters.
- 4:26Speaker 2: Tour with all the equipment, with all the equipment, So
- 4:28Speaker 2: you didn't cancel that. I haven't canceled it yet, can
- 4:31Speaker 2: you or would you?
- 4:32Speaker 3: We can up to twenty four hours before the tour.
- 4:36Speaker 3: I'm just trying to think of a way to break
- 4:39Speaker 3: it to Eric that maybe we do two tours in
- 4:42Speaker 3: one evening.
- 4:43Speaker 1: You know what, I really think he might not have
- 4:45Speaker 1: to wear the equipment either, even though on the flyer
- 4:47Speaker 1: or whatever on the website it says equipment and all that.
- 4:49Speaker 1: You know, how many people probably show up and go,
- 4:51Speaker 1: I want to do it, but do I really have
- 4:52Speaker 1: to put all that on I show? They're probably be like, okay, okay.
- 4:55Speaker 3: You don't wear gear. Honestly, Cubby, you don't wear gear.
- 4:57Speaker 3: It's like this little box that you carry EMF for
- 4:59Speaker 3: some thing like that looks like you're getting little radio
- 5:01Speaker 3: waves and you just like hold it up and you're like, oh,
- 5:04Speaker 3: there's a lot of activity here. And then I think
- 5:08Speaker 3: like the tour guide has some stuff that they carry,
- 5:11Speaker 3: but we're not getting like the Proton backpack or anything
- 5:15Speaker 3: like that, which I think he's concerned about.
- 5:17Speaker 2: No slime going on, no, none of.
- 5:19Speaker 3: That, none of that. So I'm gonna see if I
- 5:21Speaker 3: can pull this off. We would do six to eight
- 5:24Speaker 3: for the History Tour, and then eight thirty till ten
- 5:28Speaker 3: is the Ghostbusters.
- 5:30Speaker 2: Well, the good thing in your favor is you guys
- 5:31Speaker 2: are night people.
- 5:32Speaker 1: Yeah, so it's not like it's early in the morning, right,
- 5:35Speaker 1: so you know he'll wake up at two o'clock like
- 5:37Speaker 1: the rock stars do. Yes, then you'll go right to
- 5:39Speaker 1: dinner pretty much, and then do your well do my
- 5:41Speaker 1: old man dinner.
- 5:42Speaker 3: I like to eat dinner at four. It's perfect.
- 5:44Speaker 1: I love it all right, So vacations all around for
- 5:47Speaker 1: all of us. So you know, if you hear some
- 5:49Speaker 1: different people on light FM the next couple of weeks,
- 5:51Speaker 1: beare with us. We'll be back together for the new
- 5:54Speaker 1: fall season in late August. We're coming right back with
- 5:57Speaker 1: two pretty cool things. And later on this hour, Christine's
- 6:00Speaker 1: gonna tell me why I should not use the coffee
- 6:03Speaker 1: maker in the hotel room, which I do all the time.
- 6:05Speaker 2: Why shouldn't we We'll talk about that coming up.
- 6:08Speaker 4: More Covey and Christine and the great music variety you
- 6:10Speaker 4: expect next on Light at Them.
- 6:13Speaker 1: If Kelly Clarks had wrote a song for me, be
- 6:15Speaker 1: called behind These Pasty Thighs, that'd be the cubby version.
- 6:21Speaker 3: That's hot.
- 6:22Speaker 2: Next time you hear that song.
- 6:23Speaker 1: Think about Okay, Covey, Christine, Christian we're just hanging out,
- 6:26Speaker 1: you know, callsing a ruckus.
- 6:30Speaker 3: I need to tell you two cents.
- 6:32Speaker 2: Cobe and Christine's.
- 6:34Speaker 3: Two pretty cool things.
- 6:36Speaker 2: I thought this was pretty cool.
- 6:38Speaker 1: Toy Story five will be available for digital purchase on
- 6:41Speaker 1: August eighteenth, followed by physical copies on September twenty second.
- 6:45Speaker 1: It's a big deal because the film is still in
- 6:47Speaker 1: the top five in the box office. It's grossed over
- 6:50Speaker 1: one billion dollars since June nineteenth, and the home release
- 6:53Speaker 1: will feature several bonus materials, including a gag reel and
- 6:57Speaker 1: deleted scenes. Toy Story fell have it at home? What's
- 7:02Speaker 1: your cool thing?
- 7:03Speaker 2: Christine?
- 7:04Speaker 3: I love this? Divers found an ancient Roman shipwreck off
- 7:08Speaker 3: the coast of Sicily, Mazzara del Vallo, that's the coastline.
- 7:15Speaker 3: It's filled with hundreds of ceramic jars that are about
- 7:17Speaker 3: two thousand years old, and they think those jars were
- 7:21Speaker 3: transporting wine and possibly olive oil. So now the wine
- 7:26Speaker 3: and olive oil is gone, but the jars are said
- 7:28Speaker 3: to be very, very valuable because we can see what
- 7:31Speaker 3: was happening around that time. So this dates all the
- 7:33Speaker 3: way back to the first or second century BC.
- 7:36Speaker 2: It really is like unfolding and looking into times.
- 7:40Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, it's fascinating.
- 7:42Speaker 1: All right, We're coming right back with more variety from
- 7:44Speaker 1: the eighties through today and Christine after this break and
- 7:48Speaker 1: one song, You're gonna tell me why I should look
- 7:51Speaker 1: into that coffee machine.
- 7:52Speaker 2: At the hotel danger warning, investigate it. There could be
- 7:56Speaker 2: something up with that.
- 7:57Speaker 4: More Covey and Christine and the great music are you
- 8:00Speaker 4: expect next on light at.
- 8:02Speaker 2: That m Cobby Christine producer Kristin.
- 8:05Speaker 1: You know we talked about at our vacationing coming up
- 8:08Speaker 1: and h you know when we use a hotel room,
- 8:10Speaker 1: we almost always use the coffee maker.
- 8:13Speaker 2: Yes, especially with the kere egg and you have the
- 8:16Speaker 2: pods do.
- 8:17Speaker 3: I know, it's not my favorite thing in the world
- 8:20Speaker 3: to do, cubby, but we do it in a pinch
- 8:23Speaker 3: because we're desperate.
- 8:24Speaker 2: You can't make it to the lobby.
- 8:25Speaker 3: I cannot make it to the lobby net the coffee,
- 8:27Speaker 3: to get me to the lobby to buy the coffee.
- 8:30Speaker 3: So I think we're going to rethink this now because
- 8:33Speaker 3: it's the first time I'm hearing this stat. Five percent
- 8:36Speaker 3: of travelers have admitted to washing their underwear in the
- 8:41Speaker 3: room's coffee maker. Okay, I know. I mean, we get
- 8:50Speaker 3: these studies all the time, right, what are what are
- 8:52Speaker 3: the dirtiest things in the room? Hotels dot com ask
- 8:55Speaker 3: travelers what's the rudest hotel behaviors. I'm with them slamming
- 9:00Speaker 3: the doors late at night, blasting music, shouting in the hallways.
- 9:04Speaker 3: I always wonder that the marijuana smoke people are trying,
- 9:07Speaker 3: people are trying to sleep, yeah, and people are just
- 9:10Speaker 3: walking down the hallway full voice. Right, Well, you're trying
- 9:14Speaker 3: to I don't get that, and being rude to hotel staff.
- 9:17Speaker 3: That's what we consider to be rude. But the rudest
- 9:20Speaker 3: thing of all is washing your underwear in the room's
- 9:24Speaker 3: coffee maker.
- 9:24Speaker 1: And the thing about that is you will never know, really.
- 9:27Speaker 1: I mean, I always investigate it because sometimes it's just
- 9:30Speaker 1: dirty because people don't empty the water, or there is
- 9:33Speaker 1: a little hint of mold, oral hint of something that
- 9:37Speaker 1: shouldn't be there.
- 9:38Speaker 3: Yeah, the last one we used, I just checked out
- 9:41Speaker 3: and it looks like no one had used it in
- 9:44Speaker 3: a long time, so it was actually dusty. Right, So
- 9:46Speaker 3: then yeah, you have to do like a like a
- 9:48Speaker 3: rinse through kind of cloth.
- 9:50Speaker 1: So does this make you not want to use the
- 9:52Speaker 1: coffee maker in the hotel room? I know.
- 9:53Speaker 2: And now I'm gonna.
- 9:54Speaker 1: Unless it's maybe a really nice hotel, maybe it changes
- 9:57Speaker 1: with the hotel, but we stay in pretty decent hotels.
- 10:00Speaker 3: I no, no, wait, there is like a sink in the bathroom,
- 10:04Speaker 3: you know, like if.
- 10:05Speaker 2: You had to do your underwear, do it there, if
- 10:07Speaker 2: you had to write?
- 10:08Speaker 1: Yeah, all right, if you've ever washed your underwear in
- 10:12Speaker 1: the coffee maker, we'd love to hear from you at
- 10:14Speaker 1: four four three six three.
- 10:15Speaker 2: Just admit it. We won't tell you.
- 10:17Speaker 3: Yeah, we won't say you.
- 10:18Speaker 1: Call me your name, all right, we won't shame you.
- 10:21Speaker 1: Just hit us up at four four three six three.
- 10:23Speaker 1: All right, Jonas Brothers concert tickets coming up at seven
- 10:25Speaker 1: twenty five, and I want to tell you it's with
- 10:28Speaker 1: our trivia battle and all the questions are about Jonas Brothers.
- 10:32Speaker 1: So if you're a true fan, play at seven to
- 10:34Speaker 1: twenty five, and if you're a true fan, you'll win. Yeah,
- 10:37Speaker 1: our Jonas Brothers Trivia Battle coming up Light FM.
- 10:40Speaker 4: More Covey and Christine and the great music variety you
- 10:43Speaker 4: expect next on light f M.
- 10:45Speaker 5: All right, Christine hitting over the head of a stat
- 10:47Speaker 5: So the you men were studied Coubby and in this study,
- 10:51Speaker 5: when you're in the locker room, we found that eighty
- 10:54Speaker 5: nine percent of men check each other out.
- 10:58Speaker 2: See what's going on over there?
- 11:00Speaker 3: You do take a little peak.
- 11:04Speaker 2: It happens, It happens.
- 11:05Speaker 3: There's no compare contrast, is there?
- 11:07Speaker 2: No?
- 11:07Speaker 1: No, that would never happen, right me going to the
- 11:10Speaker 1: gym would never happens when it all comes down to
- 11:14Speaker 1: But yes, I have spent some time in the gym
- 11:17Speaker 1: and yeah, hey, what's going on?
- 11:19Speaker 3: Okay, Well look that there we are. You know I've
- 11:24Speaker 3: I've been going to the to a small gym where
- 11:27Speaker 3: I live. Good for you, thank you, and getting getting
- 11:31Speaker 3: back on course. With all of that, and it seems
- 11:34Speaker 3: like the time I go is the peak time for
- 11:36Speaker 3: like gym dudes. I don't know what they need their
- 11:40Speaker 3: own name, their own or yeah, the dudes, but they're
- 11:47Speaker 3: they're So let me just share this with you, and
- 11:50Speaker 3: I'm going to try and do it in a way
- 11:53Speaker 3: that I don't offend anybody. But the conversation yesterday, I
- 11:57Speaker 3: was on the treadmill. There were three men in the
- 12:00Speaker 3: gym with me, and we seem to always be there
- 12:01Speaker 3: at the same time, even if I vary my time.
- 12:04Speaker 2: But you don't really know them.
- 12:05Speaker 3: I don't know them. I've seen them, they see me
- 12:07Speaker 3: kind of nod like uh huh. They were having a
- 12:10Speaker 3: conversation and they were, you know, very loud because they
- 12:14Speaker 3: had to talk over the machines, right, And they were
- 12:17Speaker 3: discussing their testosterone levels and what they're able to do
- 12:22Speaker 3: and not do, and kind of laughing because one of
- 12:25Speaker 3: their friends can't do something, and one guy was bragging
- 12:29Speaker 3: because he can do a lot of things with his
- 12:31Speaker 3: wife as a matter of fact, has to off god.
- 12:34Speaker 1: Yes, do you think they were speaking loud to try
- 12:37Speaker 1: to get your attention or really over the machines over
- 12:40Speaker 1: the machines.
- 12:40Speaker 3: They were totally into their conversation. I kind of glanced over.
- 12:43Speaker 3: They seemed very One guy looked at me, so just
- 12:46Speaker 3: one time kind of like whoops, and then but didn't
- 12:49Speaker 3: really care. I I didn't have like earbuds in or anything,
- 12:52Speaker 3: which was clear right that, like, I hear everything you
- 12:55Speaker 3: guys are saying.
- 12:56Speaker 2: But were you like eye rolling to yourself the whole time?
- 12:58Speaker 3: And yeah, I was just trying to keep poker face
- 13:01Speaker 3: and not react at all because I'm also fascinated by
- 13:04Speaker 3: what people will talk about.
- 13:06Speaker 2: I feel like this happens a lot.
- 13:07Speaker 1: And I bet you if we open the texting right now, Yeah,
- 13:09Speaker 1: a lot of people, especially the ladies. I feel bad
- 13:12Speaker 1: for the women because it's us guys that are either
- 13:15Speaker 1: are hitting on you or saying inappropriate things.
- 13:18Speaker 2: I've seen it. Yeah, you've seen when I went to
- 13:19Speaker 2: the gym thirty years ago.
- 13:20Speaker 3: When as I got back to the house and I
- 13:23Speaker 3: shared it with Eric, and Eric said, wait, wait a minute.
- 13:25Speaker 3: He's like, these guys were saying all of this in
- 13:27Speaker 3: front of you. I'm like, yeah, that's why I heard it,
- 13:30Speaker 3: and then he looks like he got really angry. And
- 13:32Speaker 3: then something we got interrupted because something else broke in
- 13:36Speaker 3: the house and someone had to show up to fix it.
- 13:39Speaker 3: But yeah, he thinks that's really rude. So it's not
- 13:42Speaker 3: me being imprude, right, I.
- 13:43Speaker 2: Don't think it is. If it keeps going and going
- 13:46Speaker 2: and going.
- 13:46Speaker 3: It was a long time. And then they do the
- 13:50Speaker 3: you know when you lift the weights. I pick things up,
- 13:52Speaker 3: I put them down, but they drop them or they're
- 13:55Speaker 3: on the machines with the plates and the plate just
- 13:57Speaker 3: and my nervous system is shot. So I'm like, boo,
- 14:00Speaker 3: so I jump every time.
- 14:02Speaker 2: Are they trying to think that? Do they think they're
- 14:03Speaker 2: super cool by doing that? I think, so, oh, man,
- 14:06Speaker 2: I'm so strong. I just had to drop it.
- 14:07Speaker 1: Yeah, but I had a trainer that used to say, oh,
- 14:10Speaker 1: they just can't handle the weights, you know, like act
- 14:12Speaker 1: like you've been there before. Yeah, I'm like, whoa, I
- 14:14Speaker 1: just did that for the first time ever. That's my
- 14:17Speaker 1: thing on that.
- 14:18Speaker 3: But I don't know if like I just have to
- 14:20Speaker 3: get over it. I definitely, you know, Eric's like, please
- 14:23Speaker 3: wear your earbuds and just go into the zone, like
- 14:26Speaker 3: listen to music or something, so you don't here are
- 14:28Speaker 3: these guys. I'm trying to time it so we don't
- 14:29Speaker 3: end up there at the same time, but inevitably we
- 14:31Speaker 3: do share your.
- 14:32Speaker 1: Gym stories with us. We'd love to hear from you.
- 14:34Speaker 1: I don't think you're alone, Christine, I really don't. You
- 14:36Speaker 1: can hit us up. Just type in your message and
- 14:39Speaker 1: send it to four four three six three that's four
- 14:42Speaker 1: four three six three. What are you working on in
