- 0:19world famous Harley Street. This podcast features powerful
- 0:23hypnosis, so do not listen while driving or operating machinery.
- 0:27This recording is not suitable for those with epilepsy or
- 0:30severe mental health issues, so get yourself comfortable and
- 0:34enjoy today's episode of The Hypnotist.
- 0:44Hi Adam here. And you're about to listen to a
- 0:47hypnosis session that was created for a client that had
- 0:52gone through a bereavement as a result.
- 0:55Of a tragic. Accident, and this is several
- 0:59months after that, but what they were finding it difficult to do
- 1:02was to figure out who they were as part of their new identity in
- 1:08their future when so much of their life had been connected to
- 1:12their partner that had deceased. So this is all.
- 1:17About a very. Metaphorical hypnosis session
- 1:20that links to the idea of purpose and a feeling of being
- 1:26impactful in the future in a positive way.
- 1:30And the reason that this hypnosis session uses so much
- 1:33metaphor is that they weren't entirely sure what their future
- 1:37was going to be like, where they would be living, what they would
- 1:40be doing what? Their key.
- 1:42Thing they would do to give them a sense of fulfilment.
- 1:45So that's why it's so metaphorical.
- 1:47But it does link to this idea of mindfulness.
- 1:51And mindfulness is noticing things and using your senses to
- 1:57notice. That might be a sound, a smell,
- 1:59a taste, or how something looks. So in this hypnosis session,
- 2:03mindfulness is used as a way for them to root themselves into the
- 2:08present, but also to feel that it is giving their unconscious
- 2:14all the information to pay attention to clues as to what it
- 2:19may be that is their future. So it has metaphor, it has
- 2:24disassociation, it also has future pacing.
- 2:27So there's a lot going on here. And I would say even though this
- 2:30was created for someone that was going through the.
- 2:33Grief process. It would be useful for anyone
- 2:37that wants to tap into a feeling of purpose and passion, or a
- 2:44feeling of wanting to really do something positive and they're
- 2:48not sure what. That is yet.
- 2:50Because it's so metaphorical, it can link to all of those things.
- 2:54And if you're listening to this and you like the idea of working
- 2:58on different parts of yourself, I've actually created a seven
- 3:01day course. It's called Transform Your Life
- 3:03in Seven Days is completely free.
- 3:05So if you like the idea of that, check out the link in the
- 3:08description and you can get that course completely free.
- 3:12And if you like the idea of working with me, there will also
- 3:14be a link where you can schedule a free consultation call.
- 3:18So check that out in the description as well.
- 3:21For now though, find a quiet, comfortable place where you
- 3:23won't be disturbed. Relax and enjoy the session.
- 4:05Take a deep breath in and as you breathe in, breathe in a feeling
- 4:12of calm relaxation and as you exhale just release any tension
- 4:17in your eyelids and with your eyes closed, notice how much
- 4:24more you can focus on the sound of my voice.
- 4:29As you breathe in relaxation and exhale tension, and as you
- 4:40exhale tension, just allow the outward breath to carry on for
- 4:47longer than it normally would. And when you elongate the
- 4:53outward breath, you can notice your lungs creating a vacuum so
- 5:01that the next inward breath becomes deeper than the last,
- 5:07each breath becoming deeper, longer and slower, each breath
- 5:15taking you deeper and deeper. Relaxed and maybe.
- 5:25You can notice your eyelids feeling heavier and heavier.
- 5:31Perhaps a looseness in your jaw and scan your body for any clues
- 5:39of tension or echoes of stress. Sometimes in the jaw, the neck
- 5:48or the shoulders, sometimes in a rigidity in your arms or your
- 5:53legs. So as you breathe in and breathe
- 5:58out, give permission for that tension to be released.
- 6:06Feel it leave your body and your outward breath.
- 6:12And maybe you notice tension melting away in your jaw, your
- 6:18neck and your shoulders, or your arms and legs feeling limp and
- 6:24loose and heavy. And the deeper you breathe, the
- 6:33more relaxed you become. And the more relaxed you become,
- 6:39the deeper you breathe, as it feels like you're drifting
- 6:44towards a place where powerful suggestions can take root like
- 6:52seeds in. Fertile soil so.
- 6:58Feel your eyelids relaxing with each breath.
- 7:04Just imagine yourself somewhere far away from a city.
- 7:13Perhaps you could imagine a lake or a valley, but imagine it's
- 7:21summer in this scenic. Backdrop I.
- 7:30Want you to imagine seeing a lake and imagine the lake is
- 7:36restless, choppy waves. But as you stare into the lake
- 7:46that perhaps thousands of years ago was a glacier, I want you to
- 7:54imagine that you are calming the lake with every breath, that as
- 8:02you breathe in relaxation and exhale tension, the choppiness
- 8:13of the waves starts. To fade and.
- 8:21Before long that glacial lake will be perfectly still, but for
- 8:31now just see it moving towards that.
- 8:33Stillness and maybe. Above the lake you can see
- 8:42either close or further away. I want you to see the shape of
- 8:50mountains, and maybe these mountains are so high that you
- 8:57can see snow caps on the top of the mountains even in summer.
- 9:09Perhaps you could imagine that the air is fresh and cool, and
- 9:14maybe there's a smell of pine trees or wildflowers.
- 9:22But imagine that each inhale there by the calming lake fills
- 9:29you with that feeling of calm, and every exhale releases
- 9:34anything heavy. Or burdensome and.
- 9:41Even when the lake is still, every now and then a gentle
- 9:45breeze will ripple across the water.
- 9:50Perhaps you'll notice the sound of small waves lapping against
- 9:56with the water makes the edge of the lake on the shore.
- 10:03Some people think of mindfulness as something mystical without
- 10:08realizing that mindfulness is simply noticing.
- 10:13And I wonder if you can notice the faint calls of distant birds
- 10:18echoing through the trees. Or perhaps you could imagine
- 10:23walking by the water and imagine listening to the crunch of
- 10:29gravel beneath your feet as you walk slowly and mindfully by the
- 10:36water's edge. And what if with every step you
- 10:48feel your connection to this moment deepen?
- 10:55I want you to think about some things are temporary clouds in
- 11:01the sky, the lifespan of a dragonfly, and other things will
- 11:09last for centuries. As you look at the mountain,
- 11:16imagine that the mountain was almost identical thousands of
- 11:22years before, whereas the shape of the lake would have changed.
- 11:31Some things are timeless and some things are changing all the
- 11:37time. And there was a part deep within
- 11:42you that never changes, that you stay the same irrespective of
- 11:54what changes around you. And I want you to imagine
- 12:02walking away from the lake and discovering a small, tranquil
- 12:08quiet. Garden consider this.
- 12:13A sanctuary just for you. And imagine walking into the
- 12:20garden and feeling a sense of profound peace.
- 12:33And maybe there's a bench or a chair in this.
- 12:37Sanctuary. Just imagine.
- 12:44Sitting on that bench or that. Chair, seeing the.
- 12:51Colours of flowers, the smell of the grass, the temperature of
- 12:57the air. And maybe there's other smells
- 13:06or other sounds, perhaps a bumblebee exploring the flowers.
- 13:17It's impossible to count the colours, the vibrancy of the
- 13:22colours in just a small part of this sanctuary.
- 13:26This garden is beyond infinite, and perhaps you begin to realize
- 13:35that mindfulness is not something to do, not a task or a
- 13:43chore. It just happens to be that
- 13:47whenever you notice that, mindfulness is a reflection of
- 13:53that noticing. So if you notice the way the sun
- 13:59filters through the leaves, that's mindfulness.
- 14:05Or if you notice how the petals curve ever so slightly in
- 14:08different directions, that's mindfulness.
- 14:15But if you pay attention to the sound, sound of a breath, the
- 14:23sound of anything, you have entered this space of profound
- 14:29mindfulness. And with every moment you spend
- 14:35here in this garden of sanctuary, feel that your
- 14:40awareness is expanding, almost as if your senses are tuning
- 14:48into a quieter, deeper frequency.
- 14:56I wonder if this unlocks a new level of understanding that
- 15:04there are levels to what other people would call noticing.
- 15:11There are depths to this presence, like the roots beneath
- 15:17the soil. A deeper level beyond what you
- 15:22think. So continue to breathe in and
- 15:27breathe out there in that garden.
- 15:33And I want you to imagine looking into your right hand and
- 15:40seeing a selection of seeds. And here, in this quiet garden,
- 15:50you are invited to plant something new.
- 15:55Not for now, but for your. Future I want.
- 16:04You to imagine placing different seeds in different locations in
- 16:09the garden, trusting that the garden itself is your
- 16:16unconscious mind. That a seed can be a thought, a
- 16:25goal or an intention, or just being open minded to 1.
- 16:31So imagine placing a seed into the earth.
- 16:36Maybe a seed of an idea, a seed of a project, a seed of an
- 16:42adventure, A pursuit with no need to rush and no need to
- 16:50guess exactly what will grow. Just a quiet understanding with
- 16:57yourself that you are creating a cause and effect relationship
- 17:07with your future. Something as simple as an
- 17:13intention can ripple through space and time and alter the
- 17:18future. And what if these seeds are
- 17:24being planted for something new to begin?
- 17:28And whether you water the seed yourself or allow the rain to do
- 17:36it, you might find yourself thinking, what if I could honor
- 17:45the past? All your knowledge, wisdom and
- 17:49experiences by nurturing something that will shift the
- 17:54future. What would I love to create to
- 18:00grow to? Share each seed.
- 18:07Could be a different area of your life and maybe it's
- 18:13something related to impacting the world, helping others.
- 18:22Maybe a seed is something to do with your physical body or your
- 18:25fitness. Maybe a seed is just a different
- 18:33part of the world that you may end up living in.
- 18:39So some of these seeds may involve helping others or simply
- 18:46exploring places, ideas, or just ways of being.
- 18:53And these seeds are not to replace anything, but they do
- 19:00grow in the same soil. And this soil is all of your
- 19:06past, all of your beliefs, all of your memories and
- 19:13experiences. Because from that place, your
- 19:18intuition will start going to work on those seeds.
- 19:26And just like any garden, there will be seasons.
- 19:36If a seed is planted in winter, it looks like nothing is
- 19:39happening. The same seed planted in spring
- 19:46comes to life almost immediately.
- 19:52So accept that there will be times of growth, times of rest,
- 20:00times to reflect, and times to do.
- 20:08I want you to imagine going on a long walk.
- 20:13Around the entire. Lake sometimes.
- 20:19When a seed is planted, the best thing to do is to do nothing at
- 20:24all, to just allow the seed to take root.
- 20:31So imagine walking around the entire lake, noticing the
- 20:38shimmering sunshine off the surface, the sounds, the smells,
- 20:47everything. And imagine it takes you a year
- 20:54to walk around this lake so that by the time you return to the
- 21:00garden, it is one year in your future.
- 21:09But I want you to see yourself like you're someone else in that
- 21:13same. Garden I want.
- 21:18You to see that version of you picking the berries that came
- 21:26from the plants that grew from the seed one year before.
- 21:34Some of these plants have grown tall and lush and vibrant, some
- 21:40are bursting with colour, others bursting with fruit.
- 21:48But I want you to notice the garden is alive with intention,
- 21:52effort, love and passion and standing right in the middle of
- 22:00this garden, surrounded by everything that has grown from
- 22:07those seeds of ideas that were planted.
- 22:11I want you to see yourself looking peaceful, looking
- 22:19purposeful, and looking positive.
- 22:26And so much of what you notice will be from your facial
- 22:31expressions, your posture, and your.
- 22:34Movements. Maybe this?
- 22:40Future version of you has found found the right fruit from the
- 22:51right plant that grew from the right seed, but not knowing
- 22:56which seed would grow that particular fruit.
- 23:04And what if you realise that the seeds that were planted in the
- 23:09past led to the future version of you with all of that peace,
- 23:17purpose, passion and positivity? And this version of you didn't
- 23:27appear by accident. They say that you reap what you
- 23:35sow. And what if your future is a
- 23:39result of the mindful moments and decisions that preceded it?
- 23:47Every courageous step, every positive intention, every moment
- 23:56of optimism. I want you to see that future
- 24:06version of you with the look of admiration.
- 24:11That future version of you has qualities that you admire in
- 24:16abundance. That future version of you had
- 24:21every reason to just stop and stagnate.
- 24:26But didn't that future version of you kept moving forward,
- 24:35trying new things? Not because they should, but
- 24:42because they could. And I want you to give that
- 24:47future version of you a hug and tell them.
- 24:54Tell them you're proud of them. I want you to get a sense of
- 25:03that future version of you moved forwards partly because they
- 25:11tuned into their intuition, reflected on what to notice.
- 25:20Not just things they could see, smell and hear, but they could
- 25:25mindfully focus on thoughts and ideas, emotions and feelings.
- 25:36So see that version of you feeling that you have this
- 25:43positive, bright, peaceful and purposeful future.
- 25:53It's time to leave the garden. And as you see the lake that one
- 25:59final time, see how still and peaceful the lake is because
- 26:05it's time to return to the present, taking that peace with
- 26:09you. So take a deep breath in through
- 26:13the nose and out through the your nose.
- 26:17That's it. Just wiggle your fingers and
- 26:19wiggle your toes. Connect and calibrate into the
- 26:23here and the now as I now count from 1:00 to 10:00 to awaken
- 26:29you. Starting to count 123 waking up
- 26:35456 more alert 7-8. Open your eyes.
- 26:39Open your eyes 910. Wide awake.
- 26:43Wide awake. Wide awake.
