- 0:01Speaker 1: This is Ben and Ashley I Almost Famous in depth
- 0:04Speaker 1: as Almost Fame as podcast. We are lucky, we are
- 0:08Speaker 1: lucky you get to talk to uh some very recent
- 0:13Speaker 1: contestants on the shows that air today. Is a fortunate
- 0:18Speaker 1: day for almost Famous podcast listeners and Ashley and myself.
- 0:22Speaker 1: We have Johnny here obviously. Um, it's one of those episodes,
- 0:27Speaker 1: uh that maybe isn't uh the most ideal. Actually what
- 0:31Speaker 1: would you say to have to have this conversation, but
- 0:34Speaker 1: it does feel necessary because we all watched it and
- 0:38Speaker 1: now we need to know more and here more and
- 0:41Speaker 1: so Johnny, welcome to Almost Famous Podcast. Appreciate it you people. Yeah,
- 0:47Speaker 1: I'm just laughing to myself if anybody can see me,
- 0:50Speaker 1: because because the way that then starts the podcast out
- 0:54Speaker 1: like that, like so like slow and serious trying to
- 0:58Speaker 1: build empathy and tension is hilarious because I would be like,
- 1:04Speaker 1: oh my god, guys, we have Johnny and that's and
- 1:07Speaker 1: that's how I would endro it. That's why we're co
- 1:11Speaker 1: host because we're exactly exactly it really isn't no, no, no, Alright,
- 1:17Speaker 1: So let's let's get into this. Johnny, where would you
- 1:22Speaker 1: like to begining or am I as host supposed to start.
- 1:26Speaker 1: I guess that's to me. I guess that's me. Okay,
- 1:28Speaker 1: are you ready? Because I have a lot of questions here.
- 1:32Speaker 1: As much as I want to go into the drama,
- 1:38Speaker 1: I do want to go a little bit further back
- 1:41Speaker 1: than that talk about fantasy suite and proposals. So we
- 1:46Speaker 1: saw on Gabby and Rachel's season that you just you
- 1:50Speaker 1: aren't ready to get engaged, and like, I respect, I
- 1:52Speaker 1: think a lot of people were probably like, doesn't he
- 1:55Speaker 1: know what show he's on? You're supposed to get engage
- 1:57Speaker 1: at the end. That's a whole other debate for another time,
- 2:00Speaker 1: but especially going into Paradise, I am got no issue
- 2:03Speaker 1: with you not wanting to propose. Yeah, during fantasy suites,
- 2:10Speaker 1: I still feel like you didn't want to propose? Um,
- 2:14Speaker 1: did you? Did you feel like you're like, oh my god,
- 2:18Speaker 1: this is Victoria Fuller, like sex siren of the She's like,
- 2:24Speaker 1: I don't know who she was. You didn't know that
- 2:26Speaker 1: she was like the hottest of all life. I just
- 2:31Speaker 1: knew she was beautiful when I saw her, But other
- 2:33Speaker 1: than that, I no clue she was. I think that helped,
- 2:36Speaker 1: you know, because I didn't base my decision off of
- 2:38Speaker 1: anything like that. It wasn't like a celebrity crush or anything.
- 2:42Speaker 1: Hell no, No, I didn't know who she was at all.
- 2:45Speaker 1: I've never I've never heard the phrase sex siren. Just
- 2:48Speaker 1: to be clear, Okay, I I don't know what you're
- 2:53Speaker 1: meaning by that. I'm assuming it's like something positive. I
- 2:56Speaker 1: don't know. You guys, you guys, I just conbined Kitten,
- 3:00Speaker 1: which was a big deal on Ben season, and a
- 3:03Speaker 1: siren like you know from Like, I feel like it's
- 3:07Speaker 1: just something that screams sex. I get it, you know,
- 3:10Speaker 1: but I've never heard it. Okay, But at what point
- 3:14Speaker 1: did you decide I'm going to propose? Um, there was
- 3:21Speaker 1: there was a it was before Fantasy Sweets when I
- 3:25Speaker 1: thought like I was definitely proposed. Yeah, there was this
- 3:27Speaker 1: moment we had when we had our one on one. Um,
- 3:31Speaker 1: we came back and Jesse had asked if we were
- 3:34Speaker 1: falling in love, and UM, she like kind of put
- 3:37Speaker 1: her hand on my leg and I just looked at
- 3:39Speaker 1: her and I was just like, I have to put
- 3:40Speaker 1: a ring on this person, like I'm so in love
- 3:42Speaker 1: with you. And I think that's kind of when it
- 3:44Speaker 1: clicked in my head and when the wheel started to
- 3:45Speaker 1: turn that, you know, I did really want to propose
- 3:47Speaker 1: in this person. I think just when we hit fantasy sweets,
- 3:51Speaker 1: it started getting really real and that's when I really
- 3:53Speaker 1: had to, like, you know, be all in or not. Okay.
- 4:00Speaker 1: But I think before fantasy Sweets, you know, I knew
- 4:03Speaker 1: that I was most likely going to okay. Yeah, if
- 4:08Speaker 1: you can flash bad answer, it does if you could
- 4:10Speaker 1: flash back that time, you know, it is paradise in
- 4:14Speaker 1: this whole show continues to amaze me. Johnny Um And
- 4:18Speaker 1: I've been on it and I've walked through it, and
- 4:22Speaker 1: I know the feelings. But paradise is interesting because I
- 4:26Speaker 1: don't know how many weeks ago in real world time,
- 4:30Speaker 1: you know, you two were having conversations about staying together
- 4:35Speaker 1: or not a few weeks later than you're proposing to somebody,
- 4:38Speaker 1: which you know has a different meaning for me now
- 4:42Speaker 1: that I'm married. It's heavy, it's awesome, it's nerve racking. Uh.
- 4:47Speaker 1: You never know when you know you're ready, and you
- 4:50Speaker 1: don't know if you're gonna be a good husband or not.
- 4:52Speaker 1: How do you get to the point of being so
- 4:54Speaker 1: confident on a beach after a few weeks after having
- 4:59Speaker 1: these types of conversation about are we going to stay together?
- 5:02Speaker 1: That this is the person for you. It's crazy because
- 5:06Speaker 1: everything you explained I felt, you know, I think I've
- 5:09Speaker 1: even said it in an episode. Where you never know
- 5:12Speaker 1: if you're ready. It's kind of just a leap of
- 5:13Speaker 1: faith that you take, and you're scared that you're not
- 5:15Speaker 1: going to be a good husband, and you don't know
- 5:17Speaker 1: if you can be there for your person, and and
- 5:22Speaker 1: just communication is is such a key factor on that beach,
- 5:26Speaker 1: and and you have to be open. And I think
- 5:29Speaker 1: with Victoria, I was more vulnerable than I've been with
- 5:32Speaker 1: almost anyone. I feel like I had to do that
- 5:34Speaker 1: in order to get to a place of where I
- 5:36Speaker 1: can propose to her. So it's difficult. Um. Again, there's
- 5:43Speaker 1: just serious talks that you know had to be had,
- 5:47Speaker 1: Like Fantasy suitets was a big one. Um uh. And
- 5:51Speaker 1: then me and her dig it alone time, you know,
- 5:52Speaker 1: prior to Fantasy suits where we did have serious talks,
- 5:55Speaker 1: Like at the Sadie Hawkins dance off camera, me and
- 5:57Speaker 1: her had, you know, some really deep talks about being
- 6:00Speaker 1: married and getting engaged. So, um, there's a lot of
- 6:03Speaker 1: moments that you guys don't see one of the moments
- 6:06Speaker 1: that stuck out to us, And since you're here, we'll
- 6:08Speaker 1: ask you a moment that felt like a connecting point.
- 6:11Speaker 1: Was you sharing the details of what was going on
- 6:14Speaker 1: your family back home and we were, you know, kind
- 6:17Speaker 1: of discussing here on the podcast. I'm sure you're an
- 6:19Speaker 1: avid listener, but just in case you missed the episode,
- 6:21Speaker 1: what we were talking about is um we're talking about
- 6:25Speaker 1: you know, it felt like something maybe you didn't want
- 6:28Speaker 1: to share publicly, that it wasn't something that you wanted
- 6:31Speaker 1: to air to the world, but you're getting to a
- 6:33Speaker 1: place in your relationship with her where it would have
- 6:35Speaker 1: been awkward to have these conversations post show. Is that
- 6:41Speaker 1: true or can you walk us through why that moment
- 6:44Speaker 1: happened when it happened. It's true, It's it's I didn't
- 6:49Speaker 1: want to get I just maybe I'm an idiot, but
- 6:52Speaker 1: like it was just I was so like it was
- 6:55Speaker 1: just so real to me, and I was just I
- 6:57Speaker 1: was falling in love with this person, and you know,
- 7:01Speaker 1: I just felt like, these are really big things that
- 7:04Speaker 1: are happening in my life, and I didn't want her
- 7:06Speaker 1: to be blindsided. When we walked out of there, and
- 7:09Speaker 1: you know, for me, I was going through the motions
- 7:11Speaker 1: of falling in love and getting ready to ask this
- 7:13Speaker 1: person to be my wife, and and I just felt
- 7:17Speaker 1: like it was something that you know, she deserved to know,
- 7:22Speaker 1: and I thought it would help the relationship kind of
- 7:24Speaker 1: you know, get further to where we need to be.
- 7:26Speaker 1: Things like that. There there was another there's a sign
- 7:31Speaker 1: in the fantasy suit that made me feel like maybe
- 7:33Speaker 1: you guys don't know each other well enough. And that
- 7:36Speaker 1: was you said, Um, I don't know if you've ever
- 7:39Speaker 1: been engaged before, but I haven't. And I was like,
- 7:44Speaker 1: you should know if she's been engaged and been in
- 7:46Speaker 1: a relationship that serious. Um did I say that? Yeah?
- 7:52Speaker 1: I heard it. You heard it? Yeah, Um, I don't know.
- 7:56Speaker 1: I think I was kind of just messing around, just
- 7:58Speaker 1: kind of like I like play around like that, but
- 8:01Speaker 1: it's just kind of also letting it know, like you know,
- 8:03Speaker 1: I don't know if you've ever been engaged, but I haven't,
- 8:06Speaker 1: and it's something that you know, I only want to
- 8:07Speaker 1: do once, or or it's just it's very important to me,
- 8:12Speaker 1: you know. Yeah. Um, so there you said something else
- 8:18Speaker 1: It was like super vulnerable and I kind of want
- 8:20Speaker 1: to dive deeper into in the Fantasy Suite, and she said, Um,
- 8:25Speaker 1: I look at myself in the mirror, and I like
- 8:26Speaker 1: hate who I see, Like I hate myself, And it
- 8:29Speaker 1: made me so sad. It made me think, like, maybe
- 8:32Speaker 1: Johnny needs to address these things before we get engaged. Yeah, no,
- 8:37Speaker 1: I think, Um, I think it's just some insecurities that
- 8:42Speaker 1: keep coming up. You know. I just think I've always
- 8:44Speaker 1: had this struggle where you know, I'm I'm like my
- 8:48Speaker 1: toughest critic, and um, yeah, I think it's something that
- 8:55Speaker 1: I do need to work on personally. And you know,
- 8:58Speaker 1: these talks maybe should have been prior to Fantasy Suites.
- 9:02Speaker 1: But you know, again, I think I was just trying
- 9:04Speaker 1: to get to a place of where, you know, if
- 9:06Speaker 1: we're gonna get engaged, you have to know who I
- 9:08Speaker 1: am and and you know it's getting better and better
- 9:11Speaker 1: as time goes on. But I just felt like these
- 9:13Speaker 1: were things that you know, I was supposed to share
- 9:16Speaker 1: with her at the time. You know, if you were
- 9:18Speaker 1: to chat, I would love to um with you, and
- 9:23Speaker 1: I'll share my phone number here in the chat before
- 9:25Speaker 1: we head out. But uh, you know, those insecurities and
- 9:29Speaker 1: people people on the outside don't fully understand it, and
- 9:32Speaker 1: they don't make it feel any better. But going on
- 9:35Speaker 1: a show like this, at least at my experience, enhanced
- 9:40Speaker 1: my insecurities because there's a lot of comparison, there's a
- 9:44Speaker 1: lot of criticism. Then there's a lot of envy following
- 9:47Speaker 1: the show on what people are doing and not doing
- 9:49Speaker 1: and what you're not doing, and um, it becomes a
- 9:54Speaker 1: battle with yourself. And I've been in that battle, and
- 9:57Speaker 1: so I would love to walk through that with you
- 9:59Speaker 1: off the show. It doesn't need to be aired to
- 10:01Speaker 1: them the public. Um. And it leads me to my
- 10:06Speaker 1: question now, because you know, obviously we're walking through the
- 10:08Speaker 1: fantasy suites, we're walking to the end where you did
- 10:11Speaker 1: proposed to Victoria. We watched it on television, and I
- 10:15Speaker 1: kind of want to stop us now because we're gonna
- 10:17Speaker 1: be entering into where life is at the present and
- 10:20Speaker 1: just ask you straight up, like, how are you doing?
- 10:23Speaker 1: We haven't asked you yet on purpose. Um, you're sitting
- 10:27Speaker 1: here today. The episodes have now aired. Yeah, people are talking,
- 10:32Speaker 1: how are you holding up? I'm all right, I'm good. Um.
- 10:36Speaker 1: I think as time goes on, you know, I'm getting
- 10:38Speaker 1: better and better but I mean at the beginning that
- 10:41Speaker 1: really sucked for sure, you know, but you know, definitely
- 10:46Speaker 1: moving on right now and just you know, trying to
- 10:48Speaker 1: take care of myself. When you say beginning, what do
- 10:51Speaker 1: you mean the beginning when this all went down, at
- 10:53Speaker 1: the beginning, when this reunion was filmed, or just I mean,
- 10:59Speaker 1: so it was kind of like there was like a
- 11:01Speaker 1: two step thing with this whole thing. It was like
- 11:03Speaker 1: when this whole thing started, you know, when the rumors
- 11:06Speaker 1: started going around, and then you know, slowly kind of
- 11:09Speaker 1: getting over that and then film their union and was like, oh,
- 11:12Speaker 1: this is still very current in my life. And then
- 11:14Speaker 1: it was like go back to being heartbroken and like that,
- 11:17Speaker 1: and and just you know, now I'm coming back over again.
- 11:19Speaker 1: But yeah, like you wake up in the morning with
- 11:24Speaker 1: that in your stomach, your heart. It's not as it's
- 11:27Speaker 1: not as bad as before. But yeah, you know, classic
- 11:30Speaker 1: heartbreak feelings. I think we've all been there, maybe, but yeah,
- 11:34Speaker 1: are you I'm doing better? Are you someone who doesn't
- 11:38Speaker 1: eat during heartbreak or that you you've beene eat during
- 11:40Speaker 1: our break? Um? Yeah, I guess recently it's just been
- 11:46Speaker 1: like I don't eat much. I try to try to
- 11:50Speaker 1: keep busy as hell because I've been through, you know,
- 11:52Speaker 1: situations like this, So it's like, you know, for me,
- 11:55Speaker 1: it's try to sleep, you know, you get those sleepless nights,
- 11:59Speaker 1: and then if up, I'm like working out or something.
- 12:02Speaker 1: The public relationship side of this is hard to difficult, man, Yeah,
- 12:07Speaker 1: it's very difficult being in the public eyes. Just like, yeah,
- 12:11Speaker 1: I'm it's so out of character for me to do
- 12:13Speaker 1: some of the things I've done too, you know, it's
- 12:15Speaker 1: not something I wanted to do, is go publicly talk
- 12:17Speaker 1: on a stage about you know, so and so. But
- 12:20Speaker 1: it's just weird. It's weird. And then there's um, you know,
- 12:24Speaker 1: I walked through this a public breakup, and um it's
- 12:29Speaker 1: odd too because people choose sides, which doesn't make you
- 12:32Speaker 1: feel much better. It's not really what you're worting. And
- 12:35Speaker 1: then your family, your closest friends and your family have
- 12:39Speaker 1: all seen this air out. They've seen the behind the scenes,
- 12:42Speaker 1: they've seen the ugly, they've probably at some point seen
- 12:45Speaker 1: the good. H and then behind the scenes you have
- 12:49Speaker 1: to see the pictures and the videos and get tagged
- 12:53Speaker 1: in them. And I'm telling you now you're not alone
- 12:56Speaker 1: in that, You're not and it sucks, and it never
- 12:58Speaker 1: gets easier and it never become fun and and and
- 13:01Speaker 1: there's a side of this. My un solicit advice is
- 13:04Speaker 1: you also don't want to become numb to it because
- 13:07Speaker 1: you're learning something through it. For sure. It just isn't
- 13:11Speaker 1: clear yet, but it will be. It just isn't clear yet.
- 13:14Speaker 1: But um, yeah, that that side of it. What people
- 13:19Speaker 1: don't see is the quiet times in your room when
- 13:22Speaker 1: you're not busy and what that feels like. Yeah, that's crazy.
- 13:30Speaker 1: It's just it's cure, it's crazy. You know, it's hard
- 13:33Speaker 1: to explain. It just kind of all sucks like a
- 13:35Speaker 1: big poloshy sometimes. So sorry for what you're going through.
- 13:40Speaker 1: It really does suck. But I promise you, you you know,
- 13:43Speaker 1: you look back in six months and you'll be like that,
- 13:46Speaker 1: that didn't work out for a reason. I mean, are
- 13:48Speaker 1: you feeling like that now? I mean, in a way, yeah,
- 13:52Speaker 1: I feel like I'm just kind of you know, what
- 13:54Speaker 1: doesn't kill us makes us stronger. And if it was
- 13:57Speaker 1: meant to work out, it would work out. And you know,
- 14:00Speaker 1: it didn't happen for a reason. So whatever that reason is,
- 14:03Speaker 1: I'll figure it out. But you know, I feel like
- 14:06Speaker 1: I am in a good state of mind currently. You know,
- 14:09Speaker 1: there's there. It has ups and downs, for sure. I
- 14:22Speaker 1: want to dive into the timeline now after after Paradise.
- 14:29Speaker 1: So what was your first fight that made you be like, hmm,
- 14:34Speaker 1: the first rattling fight? How many weeks or days after
- 14:37Speaker 1: Paradise that wasn't days after? We were good? I mean
- 14:41Speaker 1: she she came and saw my family, she met my
- 14:43Speaker 1: family like immediately after Paradise, um, and it was all good.
- 14:48Speaker 1: Everything was good. I think I think, I truly do
- 14:52Speaker 1: think my season airing had a huge role in this relationship,
- 14:57Speaker 1: and it was just from try to like put yourself
- 15:02Speaker 1: in our shoes, and it was very much like we're
- 15:06Speaker 1: engaged and this is supposed to be our time at
- 15:09Speaker 1: our moment, and we want to be so happy, but
- 15:11Speaker 1: we were so in the dark, and the world knew
- 15:14Speaker 1: me as you know, being with Gabby, not being with Victoria,
- 15:17Speaker 1: and that really hurt her, Like she was heartbroken. Yeah,
- 15:21Speaker 1: she was upset that she was engaged and that it
- 15:24Speaker 1: was very much the spotlight was on me and someone else,
- 15:26Speaker 1: and she just it was hard to be happy as
- 15:29Speaker 1: you know, a couple and try to blossom when I
- 15:32Speaker 1: had to kind of promote my show, and in it
- 15:35Speaker 1: was just a weird thing because a lot of her
- 15:37Speaker 1: friends were getting engaged to a lot of her friends
- 15:39Speaker 1: that you know, are not on TV, and they were all,
- 15:41Speaker 1: you know, publicly out there, and you know, it was heartbreaking.
- 15:44Speaker 1: It sucks. She was really upset about a lot of things.
- 15:47Speaker 1: The only thing that's interesting to me there is you
- 15:49Speaker 1: think that they're on that show. You were saying, I'm
- 15:52Speaker 1: not ready for engagement, and then with Paradise you were
- 15:55Speaker 1: so you were ready and eager with her that you
- 16:00Speaker 1: think like she would have no insecurity about you being
- 16:03Speaker 1: on the Bachelorette. I had, Um, I had done a
- 16:06Speaker 1: podcast for Bacherette, and I think that may have been
- 16:10Speaker 1: our first kind of big fight where I was talking
- 16:13Speaker 1: about Gabby kind of past tense, but it felt really
- 16:17Speaker 1: present to her in in you know, to contestant currently
- 16:24Speaker 1: being aired. Yeah, um, and I think she just felt like,
- 16:28Speaker 1: you know, I wasn't as upfront with her as I
- 16:30Speaker 1: should have been on the beach and she she she
- 16:33Speaker 1: thought a lot of the things I said to Gabby
- 16:35Speaker 1: I said to her, So I think that really threw
- 16:38Speaker 1: her off for sure. I think that was honestly one
- 16:41Speaker 1: of our first big plays. Yeah, that happens been in
- 16:46Speaker 1: that haply tough. It's tough I do. And I'm like,
- 16:52Speaker 1: I'm trying to put myself in their shoes. Their shoes too,
- 16:55Speaker 1: and you know, I would hate if my fiancee was
- 16:57Speaker 1: talking about someone else, you know, so highly, even though
- 17:00Speaker 1: as a show and all that, like, it's still we
- 17:02Speaker 1: very much try to look at this as a real
- 17:04Speaker 1: process and we're engaged. Now we're gonna get married, And
- 17:06Speaker 1: it was just like that sucks to hear, and you
- 17:08Speaker 1: only have so many compliments to give. Our vocabularies are limited.
- 17:14Speaker 1: So beautiful means beautiful, no matter. Beautiful means beautiful and
- 17:18Speaker 1: no matter who you're saying it to you. But I
- 17:19Speaker 1: think the commitment behind it maybe makes it a little more.
- 17:23Speaker 1: Uh yeah. I tried to getting that point across too,
- 17:29Speaker 1: when some of you lose them. So, at what point
- 17:31Speaker 1: did you feel like the relationship wasn't going to last?
- 17:37Speaker 1: Um up until you know, everything the whole rumors and
- 17:43Speaker 1: everything started. I thought like we were very much like
- 17:46Speaker 1: keen on working things out, you know, like we had
- 17:49Speaker 1: our fights and then we would make up no matter
- 17:51Speaker 1: how bad the fights were. You know, Like, that's why
- 17:54Speaker 1: I think engagement so big to me, because relationships, you know,
- 17:57Speaker 1: are are built, they're not just amazing. And I think
- 17:59Speaker 1: I was so like, no matter what, I was always
- 18:02Speaker 1: going to be here for this person, and you know,
- 18:04Speaker 1: I felt that I felt that she felt the same.
- 18:07Speaker 1: And then kind of after everything in l A happened,
- 18:10Speaker 1: that's my new I was just like, yeah, it's not
- 18:12Speaker 1: gonna work out after this, I already know, like you're gone.
- 18:16Speaker 1: So did you guys have any happy couple of weekends? Yeah? Yeah,
- 18:20Speaker 1: we had, um, a couple of two or three. How
- 18:24Speaker 1: did that go? Um? Pretty good? They happy? Were they happy? Happy?
- 18:32Speaker 1: A couple of weekends? All right? All right? Like I said,
- 18:35Speaker 1: I think our my season airing played a huge role
- 18:38Speaker 1: in a lot of our flights and things like that.
- 18:40Speaker 1: So you know, for the most part, they were good.
- 18:42Speaker 1: But you know, we did have our issues. What's up.
- 18:46Speaker 1: Let's clear this up a little bit. There's this, Um,
- 18:51Speaker 1: do you guys get engaged in the beach, you come back,
- 18:53Speaker 1: you have a couple of happy couple of weekends, things
- 18:55Speaker 1: are going well, she meets your family. Um, you guys
- 18:58Speaker 1: are in l A. You feel at that point now
- 19:01Speaker 1: it's it's over. Where there signs within this leading up
- 19:07Speaker 1: to that moment where you were starting to question the
- 19:09Speaker 1: relationship or you were hoping it would end. Are you
- 19:12Speaker 1: saying when me and her were in l A H.
- 19:16Speaker 1: So I didn't think it was really necessarily over until
- 19:19Speaker 1: she went to that party in l A. Which party was?
- 19:22Speaker 1: That was um Nick's party, So this was just a
- 19:26Speaker 1: few weeks ago, Nick Bile's party. Whenever Natalie's birthday was
- 19:31Speaker 1: Natalie's birthday in October, I feel like that was like
- 19:37Speaker 1: end of August, oh, end of August. Okay, So what
- 19:39Speaker 1: happened at the party, Well, that's when the that's all
- 19:42Speaker 1: the rumors that you see that everyone was talking about
- 19:44Speaker 1: was referring to that party, and that's when her attitude
- 19:48Speaker 1: kind of switched. And that's when I was like, she's
- 19:50Speaker 1: not gonna work on anything, Like she's gone, you know.
- 19:52Speaker 1: But up until that point, I thought we were able
- 19:56Speaker 1: to work on whatever it is we were doing. How
- 19:58Speaker 1: much communication had you had leading up to that party?
- 20:03Speaker 1: We every day? Every day? Yeah? Um. Between Tino and
- 20:11Speaker 1: now this relationship, there seems to be maybe a like
- 20:15Speaker 1: a theme where it's like, is the end of an
- 20:19Speaker 1: engagement the end of the relationship. In my book, I'd
- 20:23Speaker 1: say if somebody wants the end of engagement, that would
- 20:26Speaker 1: mean the relationship is also over. Um and and in
- 20:30Speaker 1: the finale reunion, you guys said, like, you know, Victoria
- 20:34Speaker 1: was like, I don't want to be engaged anymore. Did
- 20:35Speaker 1: you take that as we're not together or like? No?
- 20:39Speaker 1: I mean no. We were talking every day, we were facetiming,
- 20:44Speaker 1: we were making plans. You know, I had bought tickets
- 20:47Speaker 1: to her house before that party, you know, like and
- 20:50Speaker 1: and and no point where I was like, oh we're done,
- 20:54Speaker 1: We're very much still together. We were just and I
- 20:57Speaker 1: think the the main thing was like, are we gonna
- 21:00Speaker 1: walk on that stage engaged? That's what that that whole
- 21:03Speaker 1: thing was so at no, at no point was I like,
- 21:07Speaker 1: we're not together anymore. I mean, you don't say I
- 21:11Speaker 1: love you to someone that you're not together. It's just no.
- 21:14Speaker 1: I I don't think so so into August and I
- 21:19Speaker 1: know this is painful, this is um yeah, so I
- 21:24Speaker 1: want to just clear this up. I want to take
- 21:26Speaker 1: some time here to make sure this all makes sense.
- 21:28Speaker 1: Everybody listening. End of August, she goes to a party
- 21:31Speaker 1: you guys are talking up until that point. What happens
- 21:34Speaker 1: then following the party, there's just no communication. It was
- 21:38Speaker 1: just done, just done, just went to I was I
- 21:42Speaker 1: was in Arizona. Um, I was in Arizona with my
- 21:45Speaker 1: family and m Yeah. I, like I said, I had
- 21:50Speaker 1: tickets to go to Nashville for that week after she
- 21:53Speaker 1: left l A. I was flying from Arizona to Nashville.
- 21:55Speaker 1: She was flying from LA to Nashville, and just even
- 21:58Speaker 1: texts got super dry. And then I got to the
- 22:01Speaker 1: house and I was just like, yeah, there's there's something
- 22:05Speaker 1: up right now. I just kind of I just knew
- 22:08Speaker 1: it was over. Like when I got on that plane
- 22:09Speaker 1: to leave Nashville, I was pretty much just like, this
- 22:11Speaker 1: is probably goodbye. But you stayed for the weekend there
- 22:15Speaker 1: with her, and and it just felt at that point
- 22:20Speaker 1: like it was already gone. Yeah. I was just like,
- 22:23Speaker 1: this is not the same person I left the beach
- 22:24Speaker 1: with it. You know, this wasn't the same person three
- 22:27Speaker 1: days ago. Can we talk about the party? I'm sorry,
- 22:34Speaker 1: I'm sorry, but I guess the party is where she's
- 22:38Speaker 1: seen with Greg. Yeah, I guess. I mean it's crazy
- 22:42Speaker 1: because the public knows just as much as me. You know,
- 22:44Speaker 1: it's wild that that's like this public relationship. It's insane.
- 22:48Speaker 1: But I'm asking you. There's footage of her with Greg
- 22:51Speaker 1: at that party. Okay, they're hanging out there. Okay, so
- 22:56Speaker 1: this is the first time that you think they met
- 23:00Speaker 1: or no, I've known. Again, it's just at a character
- 23:05Speaker 1: for me. I hate talking about this, but it's all good, Um,
- 23:09Speaker 1: just because I only say that because in some weird way,
- 23:12Speaker 1: you know, I asked this person to marry me, and
- 23:14Speaker 1: it's like I still feel like I need to have
- 23:16Speaker 1: her back and I don't want to completely just throw
- 23:19Speaker 1: her under the bus just something. It's just not who
- 23:22Speaker 1: I am. Yeah, no, no, Um, I definitely won't. But um, yeah,
- 23:29Speaker 1: no I I she you know, truthfully told me about
- 23:31Speaker 1: Greg and her at Paradise, you know, and and you
- 23:36Speaker 1: know Andrew and and all of them. They know. You
- 23:38Speaker 1: know that her and Greg were talking prior and um,
- 23:42Speaker 1: I don't know what happened with him, but it didn't
- 23:43Speaker 1: work out. And she came down to the beach, so
- 23:47Speaker 1: um when I saw them together, and you know, she
- 23:50Speaker 1: stopped talking to me, that's when I was just like,
- 23:51Speaker 1: I don't like this. You know, you get that gut
- 23:53Speaker 1: feeling and m and then everything just kind of got
- 23:58Speaker 1: confirmed after when rumors started surfacing. I hadn't told anyone
- 24:01Speaker 1: about it, and I was just like, well, now there's rumors,
- 24:03Speaker 1: and I had a gut feeling, So what the hell?
- 24:06Speaker 1: Where do you turn in those moments, Johnny, Like what
- 24:08Speaker 1: I mean, You're obviously your mind swirling, chaos going around,
- 24:13Speaker 1: and you're you're probably thinking you're crazy because she's probably
- 24:16Speaker 1: telling you nothing's going on, and you're saying, no, it
- 24:19Speaker 1: feels like there is. And maybe I'm just you know,
- 24:21Speaker 1: going crazy here. Where Who have you leaned on? Oh?
- 24:25Speaker 1: My mom? Yeah, my mom plays a huge factor. Um
- 24:30Speaker 1: My mom. And and you know, I have some friends
- 24:32Speaker 1: who are just like brothers to me, and my brothers too.
- 24:36Speaker 1: You know, I do have a good, like kind of
- 24:37Speaker 1: support team, but things like this I try to keep
- 24:41Speaker 1: as personal as possible until you know, I know everything,
- 24:45Speaker 1: But um my Mom's like my go too. And then
- 24:52Speaker 1: you know, I tried to talk to the person, but
- 24:54Speaker 1: obviously you don't get, you know, the answers you want.
- 24:57Speaker 1: So from the time that you left Nashville to the
- 25:02Speaker 1: reunion show, which was the first weekend of November, what
- 25:06Speaker 1: did Um did you speak at all in there? Mhmm. Yeah,
- 25:11Speaker 1: Well after I Love Nashville, she kind of stopped, we
- 25:15Speaker 1: stopped communicating, and um, she was she was super busy.
- 25:18Speaker 1: She had to do a bunch of work and so
- 25:21Speaker 1: she was playing around a lot. And Um, right before
- 25:26Speaker 1: she did all these trips, I had called her and
- 25:29Speaker 1: just said, you need to kind of figure your stuff out,
- 25:31Speaker 1: because you're not texting me anymore. It's kind of making
- 25:33Speaker 1: me go crazy, you know, sitting by your phone kind
- 25:37Speaker 1: of waiting for someone to talk to you. And it's
- 25:38Speaker 1: just like I didn't like that feeling, especially coming from
- 25:41Speaker 1: you know, where we were. So I had kind of
- 25:43Speaker 1: made the decision to just say, hey, like take the
- 25:46Speaker 1: next couple of weeks, weren't traveled, du whatever you gotta
- 25:48Speaker 1: do and figure your stuff out and and you know,
- 25:53Speaker 1: I'll be in Nashville middle of September and we can
- 25:56Speaker 1: talk then. You know, it was my birthday and um, yeah,
- 26:00Speaker 1: were you going for her or were you just going
- 26:02Speaker 1: for your birthday with friends? Um, it was like a mixture.
- 26:06Speaker 1: I had friends out there, and then, um, we had
- 26:09Speaker 1: kind of agreed when I was in Nashville prior that
- 26:11Speaker 1: I would you know, spend my birthday with her in Nashville?
- 26:14Speaker 1: So I thought I split it, but we just, like
- 26:17Speaker 1: I said, we stopped talking. Did you go, yeah, I went,
- 26:24Speaker 1: that's a Nashville. I think that's when we kind of officially. Um,
- 26:29Speaker 1: we had like a talk about where we were and
- 26:31Speaker 1: everything was like right around my birthday, I went to
- 26:34Speaker 1: her house and we talked about everything. What was the
- 26:38Speaker 1: vibe of that conversation? Um, did you She was gone, Yeah,
- 26:43Speaker 1: it's cold. I already thought she was with someone else.
- 26:47Speaker 1: Like I was like, you just not an idiot. You
- 26:50Speaker 1: just know these things, you know. Yeah, So I just
- 26:53Speaker 1: kind of was like, specially never came here, just stucks
- 26:59Speaker 1: not effect though, I'm not gonna put everything on her.
- 27:02Speaker 1: We're going to get into that there's something sayting here
- 27:04Speaker 1: in this episode that I want to talk to you about.
- 27:06Speaker 1: But until let me get to that point, we're gonna
- 27:08Speaker 1: get the timeline. Uh what you know the timeline in
- 27:12Speaker 1: your world? You know it's different. There's two truth. There's
- 27:15Speaker 1: three sides of truth, your truth, truth and the truth.
- 27:19Speaker 1: So we're gonna get your truth and then trying to
- 27:21Speaker 1: make sense of all this for anybody watching, because I'll
- 27:24Speaker 1: be honest. You know, after watching last night in the reunion,
- 27:27Speaker 1: there is a lot of things left. It felt like undone.
- 27:30Speaker 1: It was confusing, It was so really it's to get
- 27:35Speaker 1: clarity to what was going on, and I think we're
- 27:37Speaker 1: making sense of it h right now, definitely. So obviously
- 27:52Speaker 1: then this leads us to the reunion. I'm assuming you
- 27:56Speaker 1: didn't speak for a little bit before that union. Uh yeah,
- 28:04Speaker 1: that's when the whole Italy and her officially became real.
- 28:08Speaker 1: And that's when it kind of really like got under
- 28:11Speaker 1: my skin. And she had reached out right before the reunion,
- 28:14Speaker 1: and I just was like, I'm not sure. I didn't
- 28:16Speaker 1: want anything to do with it, so I didn't answer
- 28:18Speaker 1: reached out how I reached out? How um just kind
- 28:23Speaker 1: of say what's up? And you know how this reunion
- 28:26Speaker 1: is going to go down, And I think she wanted
- 28:28Speaker 1: to discuss it, but I was just you know, maybe
- 28:31Speaker 1: it would have been better for the both of us,
- 28:33Speaker 1: but I was just like not happy at the time.
- 28:36Speaker 1: Just to clarify the Italy thing for those who don't know,
- 28:40Speaker 1: they were spotted all around room together on Instagram. How
- 28:45Speaker 1: did you feel when you first saw those photos? That sucked?
- 28:50Speaker 1: I was at work and my buddy sent me a
- 28:52Speaker 1: text and it was a video and he was like, dude,
- 28:54Speaker 1: is great because we have a mutual friend. And he
- 28:57Speaker 1: was like, dude, I think Greg's and Italy Victoria. And
- 28:59Speaker 1: I was like, nah, can't be like, she's not Italy.
- 29:01Speaker 1: We have a reunion to go to and we just
- 29:03Speaker 1: talked like two days ago, and he was like, no,
- 29:05Speaker 1: I think so. And I got like a text and
- 29:07Speaker 1: then there's pictures and I was like, all right, I'm
- 29:11Speaker 1: not going crazy. You can't just both happen to run
- 29:14Speaker 1: into each other in Rome, you know, like they were
- 29:17Speaker 1: like spotted that Nick's house together where you could be
- 29:19Speaker 1: like you could try to explain. Yeah, yeah, I just
- 29:23Speaker 1: don't end up in Italy. It's funny too because we
- 29:25Speaker 1: kind of look alike. So everyone was like, it's Johnny
- 29:27Speaker 1: and Italy. It's Johnny and Italy very much. I was
- 29:31Speaker 1: in Miami that weekend. Yeah, there's a There's an interesting
- 29:34Speaker 1: thing that I think Victoria pointed to during the reunion
- 29:37Speaker 1: that is true, and I want to get your opinion
- 29:39Speaker 1: on it. She said, you know how Sharon is too
- 29:41Speaker 1: soon to move on. It's a question we've asked ourselves
- 29:43Speaker 1: on this podcast for years. There's two sides of that.
- 29:46Speaker 1: And to add to that, uh, not similar in nature,
- 29:51Speaker 1: a little bit similar in my experience, the sooner the
- 29:54Speaker 1: band aid gets ripped off, Like you kind of hold
- 29:57Speaker 1: on to this idea and this ideal of what was
- 30:00Speaker 1: there and what was happening even though everything maybe kind
- 30:04Speaker 1: of sucked for a long time, and that band aid
- 30:06Speaker 1: get ripped off and the truth is revealed. I will say, yeah,
- 30:12Speaker 1: it's a good feeling. It hurts, I mean it hurts deep,
- 30:15Speaker 1: and it stings, and it will put you in weird
- 30:17Speaker 1: places mentally, but it is it is kind of um
- 30:23Speaker 1: like almost like you can breathe. Yeah, but it's also
- 30:26Speaker 1: just like ground. It's it's it's hitting rock bottom in
- 30:29Speaker 1: a sense, and now the only way out is up,
- 30:33Speaker 1: and the sooner you can get out, it's better. Yeah.
- 30:36Speaker 1: It wasn't like I wasn't just looming at the bottom.
- 30:38Speaker 1: It was like I finally hit I know, I wasn't crazy.
- 30:41Speaker 1: I knew something was happening, and it's just like I
- 30:44Speaker 1: can finally breathe. Then I'm not worried about you know,
- 30:47Speaker 1: I'm not wondering. I don't we don't have to have
- 30:50Speaker 1: these talks anymore. I don't have to ask you if
- 30:52Speaker 1: you're with him, like I'm done. Yeah, And it felt
- 30:56Speaker 1: it was like a blessing in disguise, you know. It
- 30:59Speaker 1: is just like now you actually don't wish it, but
- 31:05Speaker 1: it's gonna if it's if it's happening, Like I just
- 31:08Speaker 1: people should just be honest because such a long way.
- 31:12Speaker 1: So you see those pictures and in that moment, did
- 31:15Speaker 1: you did you want to reach out to her and
- 31:18Speaker 1: be like what the hell? Or are you just maybe
- 31:21Speaker 1: like I'm above this? Yeah, I kind of just in
- 31:25Speaker 1: that moment, I just kind of said I'm done communicating
- 31:28Speaker 1: Like that was that for me? Before that? You know,
- 31:30Speaker 1: it was very much like if she reached out, I
- 31:32Speaker 1: would text back or you know, I would reach out
- 31:34Speaker 1: and be like, hey, are you okay? But um, after that,
- 31:38Speaker 1: I was just like, I can't do this anymore. You know,
- 31:42Speaker 1: I need to move on from this. It was hard.
- 31:45Speaker 1: I would you know, like you just see that, you
- 31:48Speaker 1: would love to reach out and be like, hey are
- 31:49Speaker 1: you in Italy? Like what the hell? But um, I
- 31:54Speaker 1: knew from the pictures they didn't need I'm gonna tell
- 31:57Speaker 1: me yes or no anymore. Mm hmm. Well it leads
- 32:02Speaker 1: us into then kind of the closing of this chapter
- 32:06Speaker 1: in life. Um sounds brutal. I didn't know how I
- 32:10Speaker 1: was gonna say it, but I'm gonna say it the
- 32:12Speaker 1: way it's gonna come to me. And you went on
- 32:15Speaker 1: paradise and you had a really good time. You went
- 32:18Speaker 1: on Paradise, right, you got drinks made by Wells, one
- 32:21Speaker 1: of my favorite people in the world. You know, you
- 32:25Speaker 1: got to swim in a pool, you got to sit
- 32:26Speaker 1: on the beach, you got to get some raise. You
- 32:28Speaker 1: made it to the end. Yeah, you got engaged and
- 32:33Speaker 1: you've now lost, um, that engagement, that fiance, you know,
- 32:38Speaker 1: and you have moved on. And as you said at
- 32:41Speaker 1: the beginning of this podcast, you said you only wanted
- 32:43Speaker 1: to do this once. That was your goal. Um. Hey,
- 32:49Speaker 1: first off, you're not alone. There's great things to come.
- 32:51Speaker 1: I can promise you that, I can see that. I'm
- 32:56Speaker 1: living proof that the future is very bright for you. Man. Um,
- 33:01Speaker 1: But you're still in it, like you're not out of
- 33:04Speaker 1: it yet. And I don't want to say it's going
- 33:06Speaker 1: to be better in a year, two years, three years.
- 33:08Speaker 1: It might not. I don't know what your life is
- 33:11Speaker 1: gonna look like. But I do know where you're at
- 33:13Speaker 1: right now, and again I want to check in on you,
- 33:16Speaker 1: like what is going through your mind? What are you
- 33:18Speaker 1: hoping for? What are you dreaming for? What are you
- 33:20Speaker 1: hoping there is to come? And where do you feel
- 33:22Speaker 1: like you are personally? Um, Like you said, up, I
- 33:26Speaker 1: just hope the only thing coming now is up. And
- 33:30Speaker 1: as much as you know, a lot has happened that
- 33:33Speaker 1: has sucked, a lot of good has happened. You know,
- 33:36Speaker 1: I met all these people, have lifelong friends, you know, Aaron, Brandon, Michael, everyone,
- 33:43Speaker 1: you know. Well, Tyler, don't forget to say Tyler, because
- 33:46Speaker 1: Tyler was about ready to drop his seat to protect you. Yeah, Tyler,
- 33:52Speaker 1: Me and Tyler talk every day. So it's not like
- 33:55Speaker 1: it's not the worst thing in the world. And and
- 33:58Speaker 1: I think I'm in a much better place than where
- 34:01Speaker 1: I was, you know, four or five months ago. You know,
- 34:04Speaker 1: I'm a whole different person. I've grown from this experience.
- 34:08Speaker 1: I got engaged, like I was never ready to be engaged,
- 34:11Speaker 1: and I knew where I was at life, and I
- 34:14Speaker 1: just you know, Victoria did open my eyes to what
- 34:17Speaker 1: fall in love with someone is like. And I do
- 34:20Speaker 1: not take any of that for granted. So even though
- 34:23Speaker 1: things sucks and I am and was heartbroken, you know, like,
- 34:28Speaker 1: I'll grow from it and I'll get better. So I
- 34:32Speaker 1: think the only way right now is up. Yeah. Well
- 34:34Speaker 1: just to close that, you know, some of the best
- 34:36Speaker 1: things to come from this for me was you get
- 34:40Speaker 1: a lot clearer picture of what it is that you
- 34:44Speaker 1: need and need in terms of what weaknesses do you have,
- 34:48Speaker 1: Like you have insecurities, I have insecurities. Actually knows that
- 34:51Speaker 1: I have deep insecurities that haunt me and that wrecked
- 34:55Speaker 1: me at times. And you know, I found a partner
- 34:58Speaker 1: um that you sees the best in me, and I
- 35:02Speaker 1: see I have a partner now that is empathetic and
- 35:05Speaker 1: caring and loving and gracious and kind and slow to
- 35:08Speaker 1: speak and quick to listen. Those are things I needed.
- 35:10Speaker 1: I didn't know I needed that until something really hard happened.
- 35:17Speaker 1: And that's one of the best things now. Again, I
- 35:19Speaker 1: don't know how long that's gonna be for you. I
- 35:21Speaker 1: don't know when that's gonna happen for you, but it
- 35:23Speaker 1: is something that comes out of this is these really
- 35:26Speaker 1: difficult breakups that happen on national television with everybody to
- 35:29Speaker 1: have an opinion on you do start to see, Okay,
- 35:33Speaker 1: where am I at, what are my weaknesses, what are
- 35:36Speaker 1: my strengths? And uh and and what do I want
- 35:38Speaker 1: in a partner? And that's that is a great thing
- 35:41Speaker 1: to start processing. So what I'm working and building on
- 35:45Speaker 1: right now. You know, I think, like I said, this
- 35:47Speaker 1: show has helped me in so many ways, so many ways,
- 35:50Speaker 1: and I'm still even learning what it's helped me with.
- 35:53Speaker 1: But you know, I know that much more now about
- 35:55Speaker 1: myself and what I want someone. So spot on. You're
- 35:59Speaker 1: gonna have no double now. You're also twenty six young,
- 36:05Speaker 1: and great things happened around this age. I'll let you
- 36:08Speaker 1: know that. You know, I was twenty six and the
- 36:11Speaker 1: whole Bachelor experience started for me, and it maatured me
- 36:14Speaker 1: a lot and was able to put me on the
- 36:15Speaker 1: right path. I feel like I think, Yeah, so let's
- 36:21Speaker 1: talk about the reunion show just for a brief more minute. Um, Yeah,
- 36:24Speaker 1: for sure, because the audience really seemed to be on
- 36:27Speaker 1: your side for the most part. But there were a
- 36:30Speaker 1: couple of comments in there we have to address. There
- 36:34Speaker 1: was one the conversation that Victoria brought up in which
- 36:38Speaker 1: I can see how it could have been a joke. Um,
- 36:41Speaker 1: she said that, like her point in being in a
- 36:46Speaker 1: relationship with you is supposed to be it's a cooking
- 36:49Speaker 1: clean and if she doesn't do that, then what's the
- 36:50Speaker 1: point of her being around? Please explain the time and
- 36:55Speaker 1: place in tone and all that. It's honestly so stupid.
- 36:59Speaker 1: It's like, how was this so turned around? Um? It
- 37:03Speaker 1: was literally just a joke because she hates the cooking
- 37:05Speaker 1: clean and I love cooking and cleaning. So you know,
- 37:09Speaker 1: it's just like someone cooks, someone clean, someone clean, someone cooks,
- 37:12Speaker 1: And I was like, if I cook and clean, what
- 37:13Speaker 1: are you gonna do? Nothing? Like, what are you doing
- 37:16Speaker 1: a relationship? But you don't have to cook and clean?
- 37:18Speaker 1: This is the twenty one century because so you're basically
- 37:22Speaker 1: just like, so you don't cook, you don't clean, So like,
- 37:25Speaker 1: what do you bring to the table? Girl? Is? It
- 37:27Speaker 1: was like that? No on here, I'm sorry, yeah, yeah, yeah,
- 37:31Speaker 1: we beat it out, just go ahead? What how what
- 37:34Speaker 1: was the tone behind the scenes? And just bleeps, I
- 37:37Speaker 1: mean getting it. It was pretty much just like joking
- 37:43Speaker 1: and laughing at the same time. We were talking about it,
- 37:46Speaker 1: and I think I think it kind of just in
- 37:48Speaker 1: a way did hurt her a little bit because she,
- 37:50Speaker 1: like I said, she hates the cooking clean and she
- 37:53Speaker 1: would she she would call me up like I don't
- 37:55Speaker 1: cook her clean, So is that gonna work for you? Like, yes,
- 37:57Speaker 1: it's fine, Like I don't care, And I think it
- 38:00Speaker 1: just kind of got I don't know. I think personally,
- 38:02Speaker 1: I think her back was against the wall and the
- 38:04Speaker 1: whole rumors and accusations really just got under her skin,
- 38:08Speaker 1: and I think she just threw out whatever she could.
- 38:11Speaker 1: You will care once you get married, I'll tell you that.
- 38:14Speaker 1: It's I mean, it's I mean, yeah, it's my biggest
- 38:22Speaker 1: Italian family. You know, it's if my grandparents are cooking,
- 38:25Speaker 1: the whole house is cleaning, things like that. But I,
- 38:28Speaker 1: like I said, I personally I love to cook. It's
- 38:30Speaker 1: what I do, and cleaning is very therapeutic for me.
- 38:33Speaker 1: So I don't mind. My wife's going to be a
- 38:35Speaker 1: happy guy. That's so sweet. I also want to address
- 38:48Speaker 1: the name calling. We don't even know speaking of beeps,
- 38:53Speaker 1: what you guys were saying, because it was like blurred
- 38:55Speaker 1: out and bad guys? What was it? Is there anything? Well?
- 39:03Speaker 1: Is there a is there a PG version? Okay? First
- 39:06Speaker 1: question is this, here's the first question, Johnny, and I
- 39:12Speaker 1: think you've down up to this. If you said it, man,
- 39:15Speaker 1: did you did you call her something in the fit
- 39:19Speaker 1: of anger that deeply hurt her? Hell no, Okay, hell no.
- 39:25Speaker 1: So where would that come from? It's just one of
- 39:27Speaker 1: the many arguments that we maybe have said things to
- 39:29Speaker 1: each other that you know, necessarily wasn't the best thing
- 39:32Speaker 1: to say, wasn't the best choice of words. And I think,
- 39:35Speaker 1: like I said, I think Victoria just had her back
- 39:37Speaker 1: against the wall and she just grabbed whatever she could
- 39:40Speaker 1: and twisted around in some crazy way that you know,
- 39:46Speaker 1: it kind of made me look bad. So you know, again,
- 39:49Speaker 1: I'm not perfect, and me and her have been in
- 39:51Speaker 1: plenty of fights where we both have said things to
- 39:53Speaker 1: each other and I've apologized to her, but um that
- 39:57Speaker 1: she was uncalled for. Yeah, I guess we don't need
- 40:01Speaker 1: to know what the name was that was said. But
- 40:04Speaker 1: if they beat it out, it's probably better and just
- 40:06Speaker 1: keep it like that. It's it's it sucks too, because
- 40:09Speaker 1: you know what like really kind of messed me up.
- 40:12Speaker 1: Today was like the whole reunion was just sad. It
- 40:16Speaker 1: was like, I truly do care for this person, regardless
- 40:20Speaker 1: off she's moved on. You know, I'm moving on like
- 40:23Speaker 1: I do. I asked her to marry me. I love
- 40:25Speaker 1: this person and I always have a soft spot for her.
- 40:27Speaker 1: But today, just out in public, I had little girls
- 40:30Speaker 1: coming up to me, like, you know, giving me hugs
- 40:32Speaker 1: and taking pictures like they're about to watch this reunion
- 40:35Speaker 1: and and it just sucks, like it really sucks. That
- 40:40Speaker 1: was terrible. It was like an eight year old She's like,
- 40:42Speaker 1: I love you. You're like, I'm your biggest fan, and
- 40:44Speaker 1: I'm like, holy you're gonna hate me after tonight. Well
- 40:47Speaker 1: not because of the situation, but does that make you
- 40:49Speaker 1: worried that now you have these little eight year old
- 40:52Speaker 1: girls who are looking up to you, and now she's
- 40:55Speaker 1: accusing you of saying of saying things that like like,
- 40:58Speaker 1: that's not my character, and Victorian knows it's not my character.
- 41:02Speaker 1: And it's just like, you know, in the heat of
- 41:05Speaker 1: the moment, I get where she's coming from, and she
- 41:07Speaker 1: was upset about everything. But it just sucks. I don't know,
- 41:10Speaker 1: like you said, it's a whole public platform and now
- 41:12Speaker 1: everyone's got an opinion and like that kind of that
- 41:15Speaker 1: was eating me up. The most about the reunion. It's
- 41:17Speaker 1: just like, why, why did you have to drag through
- 41:20Speaker 1: the mud like our issues and things like that. You know,
- 41:23Speaker 1: I was up there kind of putting something on blast
- 41:25Speaker 1: that you made public. I didn't want to talk about
- 41:29Speaker 1: that at all, and we had conversations about not talking
- 41:32Speaker 1: about it. But yeah, don't worry. That really suck. Don't worry, Tyler.
- 41:37Speaker 1: Tyler's got your back on this episode. Here. You make
- 41:41Speaker 1: sure everything's cleared up pretty quickly. Yeah. I love Tyler.
- 41:45Speaker 1: I think a kid. You know, it's a The reunion
- 41:51Speaker 1: was sad, sad for a couple of reasons, and then
- 41:54Speaker 1: Gregg comes out and Victorian Greg gets to sit on
- 41:58Speaker 1: the couch together and kind of announced their relationship. Um,
- 42:02Speaker 1: what did that feel like to you? Dude? That was
- 42:05Speaker 1: my moment? That sucked. That was the most heartbreaking, crushing
- 42:10Speaker 1: thing when I heard that he showed up and and
- 42:12Speaker 1: she kind of it was just all about it, and
- 42:15Speaker 1: I was just like why, Like, I went through two shows,
- 42:18Speaker 1: I went through Batch Strett and now I'm on Paradise,
- 42:20Speaker 1: and I did all the Paradise with you. I went
- 42:23Speaker 1: through all those times together and we went We've had
- 42:26Speaker 1: our ups and downs, and now I was on stage
- 42:30Speaker 1: for five minutes. I just sit in my trailer by myself,
- 42:32Speaker 1: and I was just like, this is you know. I
- 42:35Speaker 1: didn't get to spend time with the cast who I've loved.
- 42:37Speaker 1: I didn't get to see wells, I didn't get to
- 42:39Speaker 1: talk to anyone. I got to go on stage, have
- 42:41Speaker 1: a flight with someone that I truly care about, and
- 42:43Speaker 1: then walk away like empty handed from everything that was
- 42:49Speaker 1: That night sucked. I called my mom crying. I was
- 42:52Speaker 1: just like, this is an awful I know. There were
- 42:55Speaker 1: not allowed to have our phones. I was like, give
- 42:57Speaker 1: me my phone. I was like I need to talk
- 42:58Speaker 1: to my mom right now. And they're like okay, else
- 43:00Speaker 1: like yeah, what did she say to you? Like my
- 43:06Speaker 1: parents and I are very close Ashley and her parents
- 43:08Speaker 1: very close. My parents at one point during this whole
- 43:11Speaker 1: process for me, said then, I don't know, like this
- 43:15Speaker 1: is so unrelatable and I don't know what the world
- 43:17Speaker 1: you're living in that like it's hard for us to
- 43:19Speaker 1: give you any advice we can support you by like yeah, yeah,
- 43:24Speaker 1: I mean it kind of is the same way. It's
- 43:25Speaker 1: like Johnny, come on, like really, I'm like, yeah, mom,
- 43:28Speaker 1: but you don't understand. Like, you know, at the end
- 43:30Speaker 1: of the day, I was engaged and I truly felt
- 43:33Speaker 1: that way, and you know, she just said it sucks,
- 43:37Speaker 1: but you know I need to, you know, kind of
- 43:39Speaker 1: pick myself up now and hard part's done, you know,
- 43:42Speaker 1: the reunions over. He already did it, and just breathe
- 43:44Speaker 1: now and just you know, move on. I loved your
- 43:48Speaker 1: parents on Hannah and Hannah. I loved your parents on
- 43:53Speaker 1: Rachel and like the sense of realism that I don't
- 43:58Speaker 1: normally get from hometowns. I actually felt like that's how
- 44:02Speaker 1: the conversation would have gone down with my family. Yeah,
- 44:05Speaker 1: it was funny. My dad's a character. YE love him. Yeah,
- 44:09Speaker 1: he's such a character. I was so excited that he
- 44:11Speaker 1: was going to be there talking. So what happens what
- 44:16Speaker 1: happened after she got off stage with Greg? I know
- 44:19Speaker 1: that you guys, you know, have parties afterward. There's usually
- 44:22Speaker 1: the after party after the union, and then the next
- 44:25Speaker 1: day there was a huge press day, so you guys
- 44:28Speaker 1: had to be in the same room again together. Yeah. Yeah,
- 44:31Speaker 1: me and her were um after the reunion. Um, she
- 44:36Speaker 1: actually had reached out like immediately after, and you know,
- 44:40Speaker 1: we both felt awful we just felt like we came
- 44:42Speaker 1: out swinging at each other, and um, she was really
- 44:45Speaker 1: torn up. Um I didn't answer. I was just a
- 44:48Speaker 1: little bullshit, but um I ended up seeing her at
- 44:52Speaker 1: the after party at the press and um kind of
- 44:55Speaker 1: ran into each other, didn't say really anything, and then um,
- 44:59Speaker 1: you kind of we talked a little bit after. You know,
- 45:02Speaker 1: she said she wanted to speak about everything that went down,
- 45:04Speaker 1: and you know I agreed to so, UM, yeah, I
- 45:10Speaker 1: don't know, kind of just hashed out everything. Did it
- 45:15Speaker 1: feel better? It did for a split second. And then
- 45:20Speaker 1: she goes to the Knick's house and Nick start posting
- 45:22Speaker 1: videos on TikTok, and I was like, all right, nothing
- 45:24Speaker 1: was genuine. You know, it's just back to the public
- 45:28Speaker 1: platform and I was getting tagged in it, and I
- 45:30Speaker 1: was just like, you're here crying twenty minutes ago, and
- 45:33Speaker 1: it's like now you're you're like, come on. That's why
- 45:37Speaker 1: I said, like I just I truly do care, but
- 45:39Speaker 1: like I just can't keep answering and no more talks,
- 45:42Speaker 1: like I'm done. Where do you think that happened? Do
- 45:44Speaker 1: you think she said, hey, post a video of me,
- 45:46Speaker 1: or do you think we're so confused? By that, Like
- 45:50Speaker 1: how did they even like put that out while the
- 45:52Speaker 1: show was going on, Like you're not allowed to put
- 45:54Speaker 1: spoilers out on social media, so why was that? I
- 45:58Speaker 1: don't want to say approved, but like and not forced
- 46:01Speaker 1: to be taken down. I felt the same, just like
- 46:05Speaker 1: that's why kind of like suck too. I was just
- 46:08Speaker 1: like I'm just constantly I feel like I'm just getting
- 46:12Speaker 1: put down, like kicked while I'm down, and no one's
- 46:14Speaker 1: like you know, and Nick is someone I met and
- 46:18Speaker 1: now he's out here posting soft launches. I'm like, dude, what,
- 46:21Speaker 1: like I get it whatever, but like come on, like
- 46:26Speaker 1: you know, I'm gonna see that. You know, the public
- 46:28Speaker 1: is going to see that. Like I have people saying
- 46:30Speaker 1: they can't even watch the show anymore, and like it's
- 46:32Speaker 1: it's kind of it sucks for me. You know, I
- 46:34Speaker 1: can't engage with people, and you know, they're like it sucks.
- 46:37Speaker 1: I can't watch you too, Like it's all a lie.
- 46:40Speaker 1: It wasn't a lie, no, but like people have their
- 46:44Speaker 1: own opinions about things, and it just it's just kind
- 46:48Speaker 1: of ruined a lot of for me, you know, and
- 46:53Speaker 1: like at some point I don't be like growing up like,
- 46:55Speaker 1: just wait a couple of weeks and then do whatever
- 46:57Speaker 1: the hell you guys gotta do. Yeah, but like, I
- 47:01Speaker 1: don't know, I think from a fan standpoint of viewers,
- 47:04Speaker 1: they were upset and you know whatever. Yeah right, wait
- 47:10Speaker 1: a couple of weeks the soft launch the first thing
- 47:14Speaker 1: we talked about here. You know, you you do get
- 47:16Speaker 1: to see that. You get posted in it, tagged in it.
- 47:19Speaker 1: I got tag a million times in it. I saw
- 47:21Speaker 1: the comments that they loved it, people hated it. People
- 47:23Speaker 1: are like, I love these two and it stucks to see. Yeah. Again,
- 47:26Speaker 1: it's not fun for anybody pick any team. You don't
- 47:29Speaker 1: want people to get her or hate you or it's her.
- 47:32Speaker 1: It's just there's a there is still a timing here issue.
- 47:38Speaker 1: Um that is still confusing to us here because like,
- 47:40Speaker 1: how in the world did that happen? I don't know,
- 47:43Speaker 1: how is it? How is it allowed? When it was allowed?
- 47:48Speaker 1: Do you think that that possibly it was because it
- 47:52Speaker 1: created an interesting storyline, very drama. It was very dramatic
- 47:56Speaker 1: to like kind of see the the ending before it happened.
- 48:01Speaker 1: I think it helps in a way. It helps them
- 48:03Speaker 1: for sure, you know, looking happy and things like that. No, no,
- 48:07Speaker 1: doubt it helps, and they all have huge followings. You know,
- 48:11Speaker 1: people probably love to see that. Do you find a
- 48:14Speaker 1: little bit of satisfaction the fact that you're definitely the
- 48:17Speaker 1: one that's getting the more empathetic response from the audience. Mhm. Again,
- 48:24Speaker 1: it's so fifty fifty because I also don't want to.
- 48:27Speaker 1: I don't need people to feel bad for me, you know,
- 48:29Speaker 1: like I don't. I don't want that, you know. I
- 48:32Speaker 1: would love to be like Brandon and Sorting, you know,
- 48:34Speaker 1: just super happy having the best time. But like now
- 48:37Speaker 1: people are choosing side, and I don't want people to
- 48:39Speaker 1: be mad at her, and I don't want people to
- 48:41Speaker 1: hate me. And you know it's like who really wins?
- 48:46Speaker 1: Does anyone really win? Well, Johnny, I have a secret
- 48:49Speaker 1: for you. I have a big secret for you. I
- 48:52Speaker 1: actually know to talk about it very much. But I'll
- 48:54Speaker 1: do our I'll do our bragging. We've got a big
- 48:57Speaker 1: following two at the Almost Famous podcast and uh and
- 49:04Speaker 1: we've been around a while. We're still trucking, we're still growing,
- 49:08Speaker 1: we're still doing our thing, and our listeners are very
- 49:10Speaker 1: loyal there and so we we have our a little
- 49:15Speaker 1: platform here UM and we're very thankful for that, and
- 49:18Speaker 1: we have a platform, yeah, built on talking to people
- 49:22Speaker 1: like you and getting to hear um you know, as
- 49:27Speaker 1: much of the story as we can. Obviously there's pieces
- 49:30Speaker 1: of that that you don't even know, probably, um, that
- 49:32Speaker 1: could be added in and explained and thought through. But
- 49:36Speaker 1: we are thankful that you came on with us today
- 49:40Speaker 1: and UH on these on these episodes, we always like
- 49:42Speaker 1: to end in a in a similar way, UM, Johnny,
- 49:47Speaker 1: we see here today we just hashed out the timeline.
- 49:49Speaker 1: We just talked through a breakup. We just talked through, um,
- 49:53Speaker 1: a whole season of paradise leading up to an engagement. UM,
- 49:58Speaker 1: what are you now looking for? Or two? What are
- 50:00Speaker 1: your dreams? What are you hoping for now to come
- 50:02Speaker 1: in your future? If you could sit here today and
- 50:05Speaker 1: say hey, and then this will not be the last
- 50:07Speaker 1: conversation you have about this, I promise you that, but
- 50:10Speaker 1: it might be the last really public, like public, you know,
- 50:14Speaker 1: out there conversation that you have if you if you
- 50:19Speaker 1: show choose right, UM, So if this is kind of
- 50:24Speaker 1: that like stake in the ground moment, I'm moving on,
- 50:27Speaker 1: I'm moving forward. What does that ford look like to you? Forward?
- 50:32Speaker 1: To me? Right now? Is um? Like you said, it's
- 50:37Speaker 1: going up. Um. It's focusing on myself, whether that be
- 50:41Speaker 1: physically mentally. UM, just growing, you know, growing from everything
- 50:47Speaker 1: that I've learned in this whole process. Um, getting back
- 50:51Speaker 1: to kind of where I was prior to the show. UM,
- 50:54Speaker 1: going back to paramedic school. Um, and just doing things
- 50:57Speaker 1: that I love, like traveling, meeting new people. Uh, this
- 51:01Speaker 1: is open new doors for me, and UM, I'm really
- 51:05Speaker 1: going to explore you know, these new options that I
- 51:07Speaker 1: have and just living my life and and um being
- 51:14Speaker 1: the best Johnny I could be third person. Well, you're
- 51:20Speaker 1: twenty six years old. Yeah. Uh, I was twenty five
- 51:24Speaker 1: when I did this show. And there was a moment
- 51:26Speaker 1: in my last when I hit rock bottom and I said,
- 51:30Speaker 1: thank God, and I mean this, this is a prayer,
- 51:32Speaker 1: thank God that I was twenty five when I did this,
- 51:35Speaker 1: because I've got a lot of life in front of me.
- 51:37Speaker 1: And I think the same thing for you, man, You've
- 51:39Speaker 1: got a lot of life in front of you, a
- 51:42Speaker 1: lot of things to do and learn and experience. But
- 51:45Speaker 1: for today, we're thankful you're here. So thanks for joining
- 51:50Speaker 1: us on the almost serious Thank you, Johnny. We we
- 51:55Speaker 1: really appreciate your honesty today. You're just raw and I
- 51:58Speaker 1: and unfiltered, and we love it. I appreciate you guys, seriously.
- 52:01Speaker 1: This means the world to have me on here. Yeah,
- 52:04Speaker 1: and I think relatable, Like, there's people that are gonna
- 52:06Speaker 1: listen to this who have been in a breakup or
- 52:07Speaker 1: going through a breakup that are gonna be like, I
- 52:09Speaker 1: get it. Rock bottom sucks and it hurts and it's weird.
- 52:13Speaker 1: I hope I can be a shoulder de leanar for people,
- 52:15Speaker 1: you know, to everyone listening to, Like, I am twenty
- 52:18Speaker 1: and I just turned twenty six, but I've been through um.
- 52:21Speaker 1: You know, I was engaged. I am now not engaged.
- 52:24Speaker 1: I've had my heartbroken. You know, I've gone through things
- 52:26Speaker 1: you know that families don't go through necessarily. So anyone
- 52:30Speaker 1: out there needs to talk to someone might feel free
- 52:31Speaker 1: to hit my line. I love you know, giving advice
