- 1:15Speaker 3: first half.

- 1:18Speaker 4: was a full game parlay. Yeah, that hit in the
- 1:21Speaker 4: first two quarters.
- 1:22Speaker 3: We only needed thirty minutes. Teams want to play for sixty,
- 1:24Speaker 3: we only needed thirty. That's what's telling you everything you
- 1:26Speaker 3: need to know. Kyron Williams anytime touchdown CMC, anytime touchdown
- 1:29Speaker 3: CMC all rushing yards of thirty plus forty plus Kyen
- 1:34Speaker 3: Williams ten plus all receiving yards. That was plus five
- 1:38Speaker 3: hundred and eighteen. Like we said before, that cashed in
- 1:42Speaker 3: the first half of the game.
- 1:43Speaker 4: I want to say just north of ten thousand people
- 1:45Speaker 4: were happy. But this Thursday Busting with the Boys is

- 2:24Speaker 3: but for the boys. I'll go first listen, but.
- 2:28Speaker 5: Just the recap.
- 2:29Speaker 4: If you all the football talk we're gonna have like
- 2:31Speaker 4: we got Mario Cristoball on this episode, for the interview.
- 2:34Speaker 4: We're also interviewing Field Yates for some fantasy football talk.
- 2:37Speaker 4: But if you want the entire recap of college football
- 2:39Speaker 4: and NFL over the weekend that was on yesterday's episode.
- 2:43Speaker 4: We had on Kaitlyndbor, we had on Greg Olsen, we
- 2:45Speaker 4: had a lot of football talk. So that's where the
- 2:47Speaker 4: majority of it's gonna be. This is more. We have
- 2:49Speaker 4: some funny It is Spooked Ober. We're officially in Spooketober.
- 2:52Speaker 4: Your boys rocking the flannel right now, Embracey Max I
- 2:56Speaker 4: was excited.
- 2:57Speaker 5: I took off the shoe. I took out the shoe
- 3:00Speaker 5: and Rus asked me all day that you got new shoes.
- 3:02Speaker 5: Audrey's like, oh, you got new shoes. I'm like, no,
- 3:05Speaker 5: these have been You've been in the chamber. They just
- 3:07Speaker 5: it's it's opportunities throughout the.
- 3:08Speaker 3: Year, opportunities throughout the take advantage of it. These ones
- 3:11Speaker 3: right here, dirty boys. I've been rocking these Chucks for
- 3:14Speaker 3: the last week straight. And to be honest with you,
- 3:17Speaker 3: I don't know why it's right now, but my phase
- 3:19Speaker 3: of my life, I'm really enjoying. Converse Chucks are the
- 3:22Speaker 3: move chucks. Fuck, that's what they do. They fuck.
- 3:25Speaker 4: I know you've been a big Vans guy. I think
- 3:28Speaker 4: Chucks are Chucks are over top of Vans.
- 3:31Speaker 3: You like that. Right now where I sit, I enjoy
- 3:34Speaker 3: wearing Chucks more than Advance. But in my whole totality
- 3:37Speaker 3: of life, right it is Vans.
- 3:39Speaker 5: It is Vans.
- 3:39Speaker 3: It will always be Vans for me. Big weekend for
- 3:42Speaker 3: the Boys, obviously. Let us just tell you real quick
- 3:44Speaker 3: how our weeks go. Mondays we do our football talk
- 3:48Speaker 3: and then we do our intro for the Bus with
- 3:50Speaker 3: the Boys episode. You guys are listening now Tuesday at

- 3:55Speaker 3: shoot college Football Gambling show in the locker Room with
- 3:58Speaker 3: Josh Pete, and then we shoot the NFL Locker Room
- 4:00Speaker 3: Gambling show with Glady Walker and Clay Matthews.
- 4:06Speaker 5: Then Hall of Fame nominees right now.
- 4:08Speaker 3: Yeah, both Hall of Fame nominies. Then Will and I
- 4:10Speaker 3: prep for ESPN. Get on a plane at eight thirty
- 4:12Speaker 3: at nights so we can spend time with our families.
- 4:14Speaker 3: Get into New York around midnight twelve thirty usually, put
- 4:18Speaker 3: our head in the pillar around one am. We wake
- 4:20Speaker 3: up at five thirty in the morning. We go in
- 4:22Speaker 3: for a pre production meeting, then we shoot ESPN, get
- 4:25Speaker 3: up from eight to eastern to ten eastern. Ten forty five,
- 4:29Speaker 3: we're back on a plane to Nashville, get time with
- 4:32Speaker 3: our families, then go stream. That's usually how our weeks go.
- 4:37Speaker 6: You miss one part though, what I miss the rock?
- 4:41Speaker 3: Yes, well, I was saying, this is how go down.
- 4:45Speaker 3: This is how usually.
- 4:46Speaker 4: On weekends we'll travel to a college town. We got
- 4:49Speaker 4: the Fall Tour. This weekend we are going to uh
- 4:52Speaker 4: the Red River Rivalry, which we will talk about that
- 4:54Speaker 4: in a second.
- 4:55Speaker 3: Yeah, but this week there was a couple more wrinkles. Yes,
- 4:59Speaker 3: we'll had the We'll get into that in just a moment.
- 5:01Speaker 3: I listen, hand up, fumbled, back fumbled. That was just
- 5:06Speaker 3: abysmal by me. You put it on film and you
- 5:09Speaker 3: just you're essentially James Franklin after the UCLA game, going, buddy,
- 5:13Speaker 3: I don't know what to tell you, guys. Yeah, I
- 5:14Speaker 3: don't know what to tell you here.
- 5:15Speaker 4: I'm glad you got to that point because I know
- 5:17Speaker 4: the first time we kind of watch it, you're like, there's
- 5:19Speaker 4: really no coaching points here.
- 5:20Speaker 3: I don't think I don't think I said that. I
- 5:22Speaker 3: think I literally said. I saw his eyes and I
- 5:24Speaker 3: was like this, I need to get the fuck out
- 5:25Speaker 3: of here. Out of my skin feeling was what the
- 5:27Speaker 3: words I was using. It was tough. Uh. But so
- 5:31Speaker 3: Thursday we do the stream that we get done at
- 5:33Speaker 3: that like eleven. So we have a couple of days
- 5:35Speaker 3: where we're just like, holy shit, that's a lot of work.
- 5:38Speaker 3: Wake up five point thirty in the morning. So me, Jack,
- 5:42Speaker 3: Jared Beamon can go to Vegas Power Slap UFC. I'm
- 5:48Speaker 3: not gonna get too much into it. I'm not gonna
- 5:50Speaker 3: get too much into it. I will say there's a
- 5:53Speaker 3: couple of points there, Jack, where I felt like we
- 5:55Speaker 3: couldn't miss true facts.
- 5:58Speaker 7: Boys were hot.
- 6:00Speaker 3: Dole USC Card respable UFC Card. I mean, shout out
- 6:04Speaker 3: Alex Pereira.
- 6:05Speaker 5: I know, dude, him putting what was it a minute.
- 6:07Speaker 3: Plus two ten plus two ten to win that and
- 6:10Speaker 3: the first fight between the two of them, you see,
- 6:12Speaker 3: Perero was kind of more in the defensive mode, didn't
- 6:14Speaker 3: want to get taken down at all. He came out immediately,
- 6:16Speaker 3: but it didn't even meet at the center of the octagon.
- 6:19Speaker 3: He pushed his ass right towards us, and he was
- 6:21Speaker 3: he was like, hey, we're not fucking around this time.
- 6:24Speaker 3: Handle business the way business needed to be handled. It
- 6:28Speaker 3: was impressive to see.
- 6:29Speaker 8: He hit him with the Taylor Luwan act score.
- 6:32Speaker 3: Yeah yeah, over the top, hand him a couple of
- 6:36Speaker 3: those couple of elbows. Talking about Midnight the six.
- 6:39Speaker 4: That I was wondering if you know it was gonna
- 6:42Speaker 4: get called on because oh boys, you're sitting down there
- 6:44Speaker 4: in the pocket a little bit. I'm like, is this
- 6:46Speaker 4: you know, is the a spot where you call it?
- 6:48Speaker 4: You kind of let him survive it for a moment.
- 6:50Speaker 4: Then yeah, Pereira hits him with that, but he gets
- 6:53Speaker 4: up tries to hey, so you're celebrating a little too
- 6:55Speaker 4: fucking hard.
- 6:56Speaker 3: Yeah, you, but you know what, he had his time
- 6:59Speaker 3: to fight it out and go try to fight after
- 7:00Speaker 3: the fight because the fight's over. That's done. One thing too,
- 7:04Speaker 3: not the most exciting. What does the redemption look like? Okay,
- 7:07Speaker 3: we'll get to that in a second. With that with
- 7:10Speaker 3: Morob the second to last fight, boring fight. A lot
- 7:14Speaker 3: of people would say a lot of technical he's thrown
- 7:16Speaker 3: into the ground and goes all five rounds. Jack said
- 7:18Speaker 3: it on the way back, we're watching a guy that's
- 7:21Speaker 3: going to be a champion for a very very long time.
- 7:25Speaker 9: One of the best ever guys.
- 7:26Speaker 10: And also shout out to Corsane Hagen. He is an
- 7:29Speaker 10: absolute dog for holding five rounds with him.
- 7:32Speaker 3: Yes, because the gas tank that Morob has on him.
- 7:35Speaker 3: He does not stop. He does not let you breathe
- 7:37Speaker 3: for a minute. All five rounds of that fight. He
- 7:39Speaker 3: gets on your back and holds you, wait for you
- 7:42Speaker 3: to mess up a little bit. Boom you're on the ground.
- 7:44Speaker 3: Boom you're on the ground. Take down, take down, a takedown.
- 7:46Speaker 3: And if I'm Morob and if people are booing you
- 7:49Speaker 3: and all that and they're getting bored about the fight,
- 7:51Speaker 3: you just essentially put up double birds to them and
- 7:54Speaker 3: be like you guys can hate it if you want.
- 7:55Speaker 3: I'm gonna be here for a long time. The guy
- 7:58Speaker 3: is extremely impressive. I don't know the technical aspect of
- 8:02Speaker 3: Brazilian jiu jitsu and the oct again and all that,
- 8:04Speaker 3: but just watching as a pedestrian fan sitting back, I
- 8:07Speaker 3: can just tell this guy is in a class of
- 8:10Speaker 3: his own right now. He is very impressive.
- 8:12Speaker 5: Yeah, I agree.
- 8:14Speaker 4: I didn't really, I'll be honest, I didn't watch the
- 8:16Speaker 4: I didn't catch the fights I got a parlay sent
- 8:19Speaker 4: to me.
- 8:19Speaker 5: I blindly put faith in it.
- 8:20Speaker 4: It lost, But yeah, I forget what game was on.
- 8:25Speaker 5: I forget what game was on that night. What was
- 8:27Speaker 5: the night game?
- 8:28Speaker 4: Saturday College for oh Miami Miami, Miami, Florida State, Miami
- 8:32Speaker 4: Florida State.
- 8:33Speaker 3: Buddy. The third to last fight. I know you didn't
- 8:36Speaker 3: watch it. We'll just briefly go over it. It was
- 8:38Speaker 3: the guy that fought Pereira when Peyra hit the hit
- 8:41Speaker 3: the lake kick on him.
- 8:43Speaker 9: Yeah.
- 8:43Speaker 3: I can't pronounce his name either, but he's a Russian
- 8:46Speaker 3: cat as well. He fought Roundtree Junior, just two muscled
- 8:49Speaker 3: up guys. When the fight was starting, it looked like
- 8:51Speaker 3: two robots trying to get some wt foty and their junts.
- 8:54Speaker 3: This is very odd, very awkward. At first, the fight
- 8:58Speaker 3: just really turned into a slow In the end, both
- 9:00Speaker 3: guys are absolutely gassed. Everybody in t Mobile arena is
- 9:04Speaker 3: on their feet. Dudes are just trading punches back and
- 9:07Speaker 3: forth and the around tren nds up going down getting
- 9:10Speaker 3: knocked out. One of those fights you look back and
- 9:12Speaker 3: be like this, this is why it's the most entertaining
- 9:14Speaker 3: sport to watch. It was incredible, dude. All the fights
- 9:18Speaker 3: were awesome, but those three fights in particular, you kind
- 9:21Speaker 3: of get everything you need everything. One goes a distance
- 9:23Speaker 3: with a knockout, the other one is a technic, just
- 9:25Speaker 3: Morob being a technician, and then watching Pereira come out
- 9:28Speaker 3: guns blazing taking back his belt. Overall, was it UFC
- 9:32Speaker 3: three twenty Yes, UFC three twenty was amazing, dude, amazing.
- 9:37Speaker 3: Now Shrham has brought up dexter Hampton at dex Hampton
- 9:40Speaker 3: this tier talk multiple times, I might as well address it.
- 9:43Speaker 3: What does redemption look like for you with at the
- 9:46Speaker 3: Rock now is?
- 9:48Speaker 5: He responded to the tweet.
- 9:49Speaker 3: Yeah, respond to the tweet. I'll say this. I've already
- 9:53Speaker 3: kind of I put the hand up. I said, it
- 9:55Speaker 3: is what it is. I messed up in a big way.
- 9:57Speaker 3: I felt very uncomfortable when I go to this ESPN
- 10:01Speaker 3: break and one of the producers like, hey, the Rock's
- 10:03Speaker 3: gonna be out there and say you should go say hello.
- 10:05Speaker 3: Now we know, you know, I get uncomfortable about just
- 10:09Speaker 3: kind of going somewhere immediately to meet somebody and the
- 10:11Speaker 3: walk away. I feel uncomfortable.
- 10:13Speaker 5: I get hello.
- 10:14Speaker 3: Yeah, I am uncomfortable saying hello in that in the
- 10:16Speaker 3: fashion it was, so I get kind of pushed out
- 10:18Speaker 3: in the middle of the area. I'm sitting there with
- 10:21Speaker 3: Matt Malone, Matt Malone season first. He starts walking down.
- 10:24Speaker 3: I do like this, already walk a shame up to
- 10:27Speaker 3: the middle. You can see my heart's not in it.
- 10:30Speaker 3: I look up, we make eye contact. He immediately looks
- 10:33Speaker 3: back down. I think to myself, he doesn't really bother
- 10:34Speaker 3: right now, I should just get out of here. Obviously
- 10:37Speaker 3: you watch back the film and that I could just
- 10:39Speaker 3: have easily turn around and said, mister Rock, Hey, I
- 10:41Speaker 3: know we've DMed a whole bunch. You've sent me over
- 10:43Speaker 3: three minutes worth of voice memos, so we kind of
- 10:45Speaker 3: have a bit of a rapport with each other. Nice
- 10:47Speaker 3: to meet you in person. My name's Taylor Lawan. Obviously
- 10:51Speaker 3: fucked that up. Obviously messed that up. That's on me.
- 10:54Speaker 3: Redemption to me, looks like this. Got to get the
- 10:57Speaker 3: Rock on the show, got to get the Rock on
- 10:59Speaker 3: the show. So we've got to I mean, he responds
- 11:02Speaker 3: to the tweets I already mentioned about the dms. He
- 11:05Speaker 3: said in twenty twenty four he'd come on. Obviously, listen.
- 11:08Speaker 3: Man's busy, he's got a lot of stuff to do.
- 11:10Speaker 3: He did nothing wrong in the inter interaction, the lack
- 11:12Speaker 3: of interaction between the two of us. But I think
- 11:15Speaker 3: it's only fair that the rock sits in this chair.
- 11:17Speaker 3: So that's that's where redemption comes to place. We might
- 11:19Speaker 3: be looking at a possible rich Eisen situation, might be
- 11:23Speaker 3: looking at it possible, tweeted him, every single day, situation,
- 11:26Speaker 3: are you.
- 11:26Speaker 1: Gonna do that?
- 11:27Speaker 3: I don't run our socials.
- 11:29Speaker 10: It seems like this is a you verse the rock
- 11:31Speaker 10: because I remember how this all went out in Rich.
- 11:33Speaker 6: I'm still dropping mile four four runner about hit three
- 11:35Speaker 6: under k.
- 11:36Speaker 9: Yeah, so that's what I'm just It seems like.
- 11:38Speaker 3: Maybe another bet needs to be placed for this to happen.
- 11:40Speaker 6: Okay, and that is something I would love to you entertain.
- 11:43Speaker 3: Would you like, do you want to throw anything out
- 11:45Speaker 3: there right now for me?
- 11:46Speaker 10: Uh see, the last time I did this, I just
- 11:48Speaker 10: jumped the gun. So maybe give me one week next intro,
- 11:52Speaker 10: I'll come right.
- 11:53Speaker 3: I love that you weren't here for the Uh was
- 11:56Speaker 3: it college for for NFL? We were talking about, Oh,
- 11:58Speaker 3: it was college football. We're talking about Michigan. And I said,
- 12:00Speaker 3: next time I go to Vegas. Fifty percent of what
- 12:02Speaker 3: I win, I'll donate to the Michigan and Al I
- 12:04Speaker 3: just set I just set it out loud and then
- 12:07Speaker 3: I just kind of in my own brain again double
- 12:09Speaker 3: down also within three minutes. So I like the fact
- 12:12Speaker 3: that you're taking a week jo that walk and you
- 12:16Speaker 3: know what, dude, sometimes that guy's got a backup camera
- 12:18Speaker 3: on him like nobody, Like he can parallel park anything.
- 12:21Speaker 3: You got to give a lot of credit to JP
- 12:23Speaker 3: the way he handled it like a child. He's a technician. Absolutely,
- 12:26Speaker 3: So yes, I will I will now stand on that.
- 12:30Speaker 9: But I love the.
- 12:30Speaker 3: Fact you're taking a week. So check back in a
- 12:32Speaker 3: week with us. We'll have a bet between myself and
- 12:36Speaker 3: Jack or busting with Jack. Well, the three of us
- 12:37Speaker 3: will get together and we'll figure it out.
- 12:39Speaker 4: Yeah, we can figure something because would absolutely love to
- 12:42Speaker 4: have the Rock on the show right right again, that's
- 12:45Speaker 4: one of the heroes right there.
- 12:46Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 12:47Speaker 3: So, but yes, I let down, not only myself, I
- 12:49Speaker 3: let you down. I let bust one the boys down.
- 12:52Speaker 3: I'll let our entire company down.
- 12:54Speaker 6: Opportunity for a massive redemption.
- 12:57Speaker 3: Right right, and I'm set major comeback exactly. Yeah, it
- 13:00Speaker 3: almost gonna take back what I just said. If anything,
- 13:02Speaker 3: I put us in a great position to have the
- 13:04Speaker 3: Rock on eventually, if you really think about it, if
- 13:06Speaker 3: you really think about it, my demise might be what
- 13:09Speaker 3: helps us get the Rock here.
- 13:10Speaker 11: I feel like we were in a good situation with
- 13:12Speaker 11: the report that you guys were building already.
- 13:15Speaker 4: Yeah, but you know what, we were in a great
- 13:17Speaker 4: I was honestly so bummed I couldn't get to meet
- 13:20Speaker 4: that dude because I'm back when I'm not in the block. No,
- 13:25Speaker 4: I was so when it was happening. It was during
- 13:28Speaker 4: get Up and there was a moment where they're on
- 13:30Speaker 4: and I'm standing on the side and I kind of
- 13:32Speaker 4: go over to Fass and the people and I'm like, hey,
- 13:34Speaker 4: how and the fuck can I get How can.
- 13:37Speaker 5: I meet the Rock? I have to meet the Rock?
- 13:39Speaker 4: And the opportunity comes when I'm on and he's out
- 13:42Speaker 4: in the.
- 13:43Speaker 5: And so it all went down.
- 13:44Speaker 4: He comes back during commercial when he's coming back on,
- 13:46Speaker 4: He's like, hey, worst hell of all time just happened?
- 13:48Speaker 3: Yeah?
- 13:49Speaker 9: Were you?
- 13:50Speaker 12: Low key?
- 13:50Speaker 9: Kind of like good because now I was bombed.
- 13:53Speaker 4: I was like, I gotta see I gotta see the footage.
- 13:55Speaker 4: And then I saw the footage. I'm like, buddy, Yeah.
- 13:58Speaker 3: Tough, just tough. It's all good, just tough, learning, learning
- 14:02Speaker 3: every day, just learning. It's all I can do, man,
- 14:04Speaker 3: all I can.
- 14:04Speaker 5: Do is learning or diet.
- 14:06Speaker 9: Amen.
- 14:07Speaker 3: Yeah, amen. But a the vlog, the Vegas vlog, I
- 14:10Speaker 3: think will be Yeah, it's gonna be awesome to every
- 14:13Speaker 3: expectation you want it to be.
- 14:14Speaker 9: We're talking about Wednesday or Thursday.
- 14:16Speaker 6: Well, we'll put out a tweet when we get a
- 14:18Speaker 6: finalized day.
- 14:18Speaker 9: But yeah, it's gonna be an awesome vlog.
- 14:20Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 14:21Speaker 6: No, Jared's over there cooking it up right now.
- 14:23Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 14:23Speaker 3: And Jared, I'll tell you, he was elated. He's so
- 14:27Speaker 3: extact about it. He's like, I love the storylines we.
- 14:29Speaker 5: Have going here. You know, Jared's a little break Yeah,
- 14:31Speaker 5: he gets rocking.
- 14:32Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 14:32Speaker 3: He was very excited about, which got me very excited
- 14:35Speaker 3: about because to me, I'm just in hell and also
- 14:37Speaker 3: in heaven at the same time, Like I got the
- 14:39Speaker 3: two demons on both sides.
- 14:40Speaker 10: He showed me the footage just a little context won't
- 14:43Speaker 10: give too much away from the vlog. Me and Tanner
- 14:47Speaker 10: put a parlay on power Slap, which is kind of
- 14:49Speaker 10: a coin flip, but literally, it was a five leg
- 14:52Speaker 10: parlay absolute coin. Literally all four of the five legs
- 14:56Speaker 10: hit and one didn't, and the one that did not,
- 14:59Speaker 10: the god we bet on, knocked this guy the fuck
- 15:02Speaker 10: out to where like normally they call the fight so
- 15:05Speaker 10: fast and they let this guy go to ten seconds
- 15:07Speaker 10: stands up, they end him going to like extra rounds,
- 15:10Speaker 10: and then he ends up getting knocked out. So I
- 15:12Speaker 10: still think that there's something they rigged it, but I
- 15:15Speaker 10: watched the knockout.
- 15:16Speaker 13: You say you tried to pull a Dana away, You'll
- 15:20Speaker 13: just have to watch the blog and see why I
- 15:22Speaker 13: was not able to pull Dane away because there was
- 15:24Speaker 13: bigger things at stake than my five hundred dollars parlay.
- 15:27Speaker 3: I'll say this too, Dama seemed like he was ducking
- 15:30Speaker 3: you a little bit.
- 15:31Speaker 5: I do think the boys haven't hold you back yelling
- 15:35Speaker 5: at Dana. I want answer.
- 15:36Speaker 3: Oh, then you answered, Then you'll you'll love the blog.
- 15:40Speaker 3: Don't say that you'll love the bo I'll say this.
- 15:42Speaker 3: I put in a parlay for power Slap seven hundred
- 15:45Speaker 3: and fifty dollars to win one hundred thousand lost in
- 15:48Speaker 3: the second leg. It's all but the parlay, buddy, I'm
- 15:53Speaker 3: telling you it's That's the thing about parlay is you
- 15:56Speaker 3: just get excited about the op. Yeah, what if? What if?
- 16:00Speaker 3: What if?
- 16:00Speaker 10: I mean we all know they also got like five
- 16:02Speaker 10: other guys on it right as he placed it. And
- 16:04Speaker 10: then they show up in the first fight they see,
- 16:06Speaker 10: they go, what happened is already lost.
- 16:09Speaker 3: We're at the sports book and Kyle from Nell comes up,
- 16:11Speaker 3: is what do you guys bet all my power suppers?
- 16:12Speaker 3: All we get on it to what is it? And
- 16:14Speaker 3: we bet at us, We bet at Cody Bettett's like
- 16:16Speaker 3: five other people. To point the sports book is like,
- 16:18Speaker 3: no one else can bet this bet anymore because the
- 16:21Speaker 3: odds like, we're, you know, hundred and fifty dollars to
- 16:23Speaker 3: win one hundred thousand. The sportsbooks thinking themselves, we don't
- 16:27Speaker 3: want this because they've essentially had you know, a six
- 16:30Speaker 3: seven hundred thousand dollars.
- 16:31Speaker 10: Trying to put five grand on it, and then they
- 16:33Speaker 10: captive at seven to fifty because five grand paid out
- 16:35Speaker 10: seven hundred thousand, and they're like, yeah, you the most
- 16:38Speaker 10: you can do is seven.
- 16:39Speaker 3: Hundred and fifty, right right?
- 16:41Speaker 5: So anyway, devlog comes out, you said Wednesday.
- 16:44Speaker 10: Probably Wednesday or Thursday. Wednesday, Yes, Thursday, probably Wednesday night, Jared.
- 16:48Speaker 3: Jared' the man he claims to be to probably Tuesday,
- 16:50Speaker 3: but okay, yeah Wednesday, the.
- 16:52Speaker 9: Grinding on it. He had a lot already cut up.
- 16:54Speaker 4: So I tried to start a blog with the staycation
- 16:58Speaker 4: that my wife and I did.
- 16:59Speaker 5: But that's four.
- 17:00Speaker 3: Y'allo alrated you got a little alrighty, yeah, roast sparks
- 17:04Speaker 3: might have went in the system.
- 17:07Speaker 5: Wife and I we did a little.

- 17:22Speaker 4: shot the four of the Dad's episode last Friday. Got home
- 17:24Speaker 4: around two thirty, packed the overnight bag. We're in the
- 17:26Speaker 4: car about two forty five.
- 17:28Speaker 5: Get to the Four Seasons round three and the wife
- 17:30Speaker 5: and I just have a just have a day, have.
- 17:32Speaker 4: A night, have a morning. Uh at a little staycation.
- 17:36Speaker 4: We went from being a mom and dad the boyfriend
- 17:38Speaker 4: and girlfriend for it. Rush out the block too, Rush
- 17:41Speaker 4: out the block, and it was much needed it was
- 17:43Speaker 4: it was all time. Then we go to got our
- 17:46Speaker 4: little Spooketober festivity in On Saturday, we go to cheek Wood,
- 17:51Speaker 4: which highly recommended local if you're local in Nashville. Cheek
- 17:54Speaker 4: Wood does all year round. But they got a nice
- 17:56Speaker 4: little They got the pumpkin set up, you got the
- 17:58Speaker 4: food trucks, you got the life happening. Go check out
- 18:01Speaker 4: the mansion if you want to. But a good vibe.
- 18:03Speaker 4: And old Papa sherm Pt. Six he shows up a
- 18:06Speaker 4: little scar Scar. He was running a solo mission over
- 18:08Speaker 4: the weekend. Jewel was out of town. She was in
- 18:10Speaker 4: Miami for a Batch of Rep party. So we got
- 18:13Speaker 4: the kiddos together. Shirm came to hang. We lasted about
- 18:16Speaker 4: what about an hour for little ones had to go down.
- 18:20Speaker 4: S got the meet Scott Zilla for the first time
- 18:22Speaker 4: in person. She had expectation rips.
- 18:26Speaker 8: She she tried to take over the DJ set, like
- 18:29Speaker 8: she went up to a speaker and was like trying
- 18:31Speaker 8: DJ Zillat figure out the ox.
- 18:33Speaker 5: Yeah, yeah, yeah yeah.
- 18:35Speaker 4: I had a little family day that afternoon, and then
- 18:38Speaker 4: it was the Husker football. It was all eyes on
- 18:40Speaker 4: Husker football. Sweetheart, you got the ghetto for the next
- 18:43Speaker 4: couple hours because I'm gonna be locked in watching Husker football,
- 18:47Speaker 4: watch some ball, had some order some barbecue. The uh
- 18:51Speaker 4: father in law came over to hang out. His wife's
- 18:53Speaker 4: out of town in the Philippines right now back home.
- 18:56Speaker 4: So we had a little family affair that evening and
- 18:59Speaker 4: then Sunday was some nice What.
- 19:00Speaker 5: Did I do yesterday?
- 19:03Speaker 3: You did a live you did.
- 19:04Speaker 5: A l oh yeah, yeah, yeah, we did the live show.
- 19:06Speaker 3: A watch party.
- 19:08Speaker 5: Yeah. We went out.
- 19:09Speaker 4: Wife's like, hey, do you want to uh, you want
- 19:11Speaker 4: to take the kids on a little nature walk? Sure,
- 19:13Speaker 4: I'm done with that, whatever you want to do. We
- 19:14Speaker 4: went to this coffee shop. I hate that I'm not
- 19:17Speaker 4: remembering their name right now because awesome coffee shop down
- 19:19Speaker 4: in Franklin, And you want to do a little nature
- 19:21Speaker 4: walk after next thing, you know, we're driving thirty minutes
- 19:23Speaker 4: outside of Franklin to go on this nature of so
- 19:25Speaker 4: I'm gonna have to be back for this watch party.
- 19:27Speaker 4: But we hit this nature walk in Scottie Listen was
- 19:30Speaker 4: beside herself and we figured out it was because she
- 19:32Speaker 4: had shoes on trying to take a nap. But I'm
- 19:35Speaker 4: saying for an hour, tried to put this little villain down,
- 19:38Speaker 4: but got it Nature walk come back. We had an
- 19:41Speaker 4: awesome little Titans watch party. We unfortunately we had to
- 19:45Speaker 4: we had to do some things at half time, so
- 19:46Speaker 4: we had to we had to get out of there,
- 19:48Speaker 4: but only to fail to see the Titans comeback because
- 19:50Speaker 4: there were some absolute sickos sikos at that watch party,
- 19:53Speaker 4: watching all the way to the end, including Jack. Watch
- 19:56Speaker 4: party was all time. Had a good time hanging out
- 19:58Speaker 4: with the fans.
- 19:59Speaker 3: Great Titans.
- 20:00Speaker 6: Want to know when the boys will watch party?
- 20:02Speaker 3: Titans are want to know when the boys will watch party?

- 21:07Speaker 8: Very close to the fairgrounds for any ou Longhorn six sick.
- 21:12Speaker 8: That's about a twenty minute walk from the fair.
- 21:13Speaker 3: Gud right, and you're probably seeing the edge of your
- 21:15Speaker 3: seat right now, being like d Re Whember. We the

- 21:19Speaker 3: are they taking in Oklahoma, Texas. You'll find out Wednesday.

- 21:27Speaker 3: pay Taylor Wall, Will Compton the locker Room. College football
- 21:29Speaker 3: a dish, Yeah, be beautiful to see possible Game of
- 21:33Speaker 3: the week situation.
- 21:34Speaker 5: I got to figure out my tears playing. I think
- 21:37Speaker 5: I got to figure out.
- 21:38Speaker 10: I don't think I thought that they said that he
- 21:40Speaker 10: was playing for a few more weeks.
- 21:42Speaker 3: There, you know there's I don't think rumors going on
- 21:46Speaker 3: will matter.
- 21:47Speaker 5: You don't think it will matter.
- 21:48Speaker 3: I think Texas stay up for the show. Actually, you
- 21:52Speaker 3: know what, You're not on the show?
- 21:52Speaker 10: Go What do you think is in hattistink Texas's ass?
- 21:55Speaker 10: I think arch Manning is not prepared or already. I think
- 21:58Speaker 10: he's still battling in and I think Texas is extremely fraudulent.
- 22:04Speaker 6: They went from number one in the country with five
- 22:08Speaker 6: weeks later to being unranked. Wow, the real ut resides
- 22:11Speaker 6: in Knoxville, Tennessee.
- 22:12Speaker 9: Scumbags can I rebuttal it.
- 22:18Speaker 5: Go ahead, Gurman rebuttal quick rebuttal.
- 22:21Speaker 8: Very similar to the Iron Bowl. It's those years whenever
- 22:24Speaker 8: OU team is looking bad, whenever Texas team's looking bad,
- 22:28Speaker 8: that's when they usually win.
- 22:29Speaker 9: Okay, I'm just saying.
- 22:30Speaker 5: Right, rivalry, throw it all over the window.
- 22:34Speaker 3: If we're talking about rivalries too. Michigan started nine in
- 22:36Speaker 3: the country last year. They ended up not ranked at all.
- 22:39Speaker 3: Who they beat the last week of the year, Ohio Stay.
- 22:43Speaker 5: And Texas is low key in a must must win situation.
- 22:48Speaker 10: Rooting for Texas because Tennessee plays Oklahoma this year and
- 22:52Speaker 10: that will be a tough game where Materier will be back.
- 22:55Speaker 5: Don't you want Oklahoma to win?
- 22:57Speaker 6: So that way, it's like yeah, more, yeah, maybe I
- 23:00Speaker 6: don't know.
- 23:02Speaker 9: You know, you can convince me for you.
- 23:04Speaker 4: I mean, there's gonna be nothing but carnage in the SEC,
- 23:07Speaker 4: so I don't Yeah.
- 23:08Speaker 3: Right, this is when this is when the sickos come out.
- 23:11Speaker 3: This is like Dune's Gobblins Inspectors. That's why it spoos.
- 23:13Speaker 3: People think Halloween is because of something sort of like
- 23:16Speaker 3: you know, demons back in the day. It really is
- 23:18Speaker 3: because the SEC football in October. That's why halloween s
- 23:20Speaker 3: are because it's so spooky out there.
- 23:23Speaker 5: To figure out something to do.
- 23:25Speaker 4: I forget our hours that we're actually gonna be out there,
- 23:27Speaker 4: but find something spooky to do out in Dallas.
- 23:30Speaker 3: Yeah, there's not enough time for that.
- 23:31Speaker 5: Did you guys hit something in Vegas?
- 23:33Speaker 4: Dude?
- 23:33Speaker 5: No?
- 23:34Speaker 3: The first weekend of Spootober and we've let the squad. Yeah,
- 23:37Speaker 3: I know, but I know you.
- 23:38Speaker 5: Are the leader.
- 23:40Speaker 3: I know, and listen when you when you fail, what
- 23:43Speaker 3: do you do? You double up the next week? I
- 23:44Speaker 3: got a Halloween party this Friday, right after the Halloween party,
- 23:47Speaker 3: wife and I come home babysitter. We got a little
- 23:49Speaker 3: Halloween date, all right, we have at Halloween date hat
- 23:52Speaker 3: at house, a little din didn after that, after that.
- 23:57Speaker 3: So yes, we're doubling up this week. I failed. I failed. Everybody,
- 24:03Speaker 3: my my, my gambling wants and needs took over. I
- 24:08Speaker 3: can't say that.
- 24:09Speaker 5: Yeah, yeah, you're right.
- 24:11Speaker 3: Why I didn't say it. I didn't say it.
- 24:13Speaker 5: Your hotel, your hotel.
- 24:15Speaker 3: Yeah, well, by wanting needs for gambling took over.
- 24:20Speaker 4: That's a tough beat, bro, Yeah, I know. Yeah, it's
- 24:22Speaker 4: a tough beat. Yeah, we need we need more AUDI.
- 24:25Speaker 4: If you're sitting at the top of the helm, you're
- 24:28Speaker 4: need more AUDI.
- 24:28Speaker 3: Starts from the top.
- 24:29Speaker 4: Starts from the top, because you put a lot of
- 24:31Speaker 4: pressure on the boys to sell out for spook Tobra.
- 24:34Speaker 3: And look at look at our bus by the way,
- 24:36Speaker 3: the first time the boy this is the first time
- 24:38Speaker 3: the viewer on YouTube is seeing the bus right now.
- 24:40Speaker 3: Shout out Garrett, the boys, everybody forgetting spooktober dialed in
- 24:44Speaker 3: the way it should be.
- 24:45Speaker 10: Also, Taylor, I think we're not giving enough credit. He
- 24:48Speaker 10: did do a Halloween related thing, just not on Vegas.
- 24:51Speaker 10: The Rock that was scary enough.
- 24:55Speaker 3: Spooky Will would have just shook his hand and been
- 24:57Speaker 3: a normal adult.
- 24:58Speaker 5: I knew it was.
- 24:59Speaker 3: That was October two when that thing hold they went down.
- 25:03Speaker 3: We would have handled that like a normal human being.
- 25:05Speaker 5: So he would have did oh not me. An exchange
- 25:08Speaker 5: would have happen.
- 25:08Speaker 4: I would have stood there awkwardly and been like, so,
- 25:10Speaker 4: what's your favorite scary movie thing?
- 25:15Speaker 3: Your thing? Right now? Can we talk about a great
- 25:20Speaker 3: show that's going on right now?
- 25:22Speaker 10: Oh?
- 25:22Speaker 3: Great little show Chad Powers. Dude, Uh, listen, I got
- 25:25Speaker 3: a card for chat, but they want us to promote it.
- 25:26Speaker 3: We're doing the whole thing with them. I will tell
- 25:29Speaker 3: you I love this show. It is incredible. If you
- 25:32Speaker 3: like Bloom Mountain State, if you like the show Suresy like,
- 25:36Speaker 3: this show is a great blend of like it's really
- 25:41Speaker 3: just a great comedy, and they do an incredible job
- 25:43Speaker 3: of blending like uh, Eli Manning's Place, that Eli's Places thing,
- 25:48Speaker 3: and blending into an actual TV show. They're connecting all
- 25:50Speaker 3: the dots. I'll read the card for you, but know
- 25:53Speaker 3: that I truly I endorse this show. Eight years after
- 25:56Speaker 3: Flushing is promising college football career down the toilet, Hot
- 25:59Speaker 3: show quarterback Russ Holliday tries to resurrect his dreams by
- 26:03Speaker 3: disguising himself as Chad Powers, a talented oddball who walks
- 26:07Speaker 3: onto the struggling South Georgia Catfish. And this is based
- 26:10Speaker 3: on Eli Manning's Eli Places segment from ESPN and Omaha production.
- 26:14Speaker 3: It's a new comedy starring Glenn powellin as Russ Holiday,
- 26:17Speaker 3: a hot, tried quarterback who tries to resurrect his dreams
- 26:19Speaker 3: and by disguising himself as Chap Paris. That's in there
- 26:21Speaker 3: twice okay, A talented, talented all who walks on and
- 26:24Speaker 3: struggling in Georgia Catfish too okay. A new comedy and
- 26:27Speaker 3: events viewers by surprise comeback story everyone can relate to.
- 26:30Speaker 3: Chapparis is now streaming with new episodes Tuesday on Hulu
- 26:33Speaker 3: and Hulu on Hulu and Hulu on Disney Plus for
- 26:37Speaker 3: Bundle subscribers, terms apply now. Mickey Mouse has given us
- 26:42Speaker 3: the opportunity to kind of see some of these shows
- 26:44Speaker 3: a little earlier, and they want us to kind of
- 26:45Speaker 3: watch them then talk about them. We're supposed to talk
- 26:48Speaker 3: about episode three. I'm personally on episode five. I enjoy
- 26:52Speaker 3: watching this show. When I have free time, I put
- 26:55Speaker 3: this show on.
- 26:56Speaker 9: Wait are you talk about episode three?
- 26:57Speaker 5: Yes?
- 26:58Speaker 9: Can I get off? Because I'm on.
- 26:59Speaker 10: Episode two and I really do not want to spoilers because
- 27:01Speaker 10: I really like this show as well.
- 27:02Speaker 6: Get all right, you want to talk about the real.
- 27:06Speaker 4: Game, I'll say this too, Like for people that are
- 27:09Speaker 4: like kind of on the fence all the kind of.
- 27:11Speaker 3: Second time, it's Jack, it's still in your hat. It's
- 27:14Speaker 3: still in your hat, Jack, spooky season. Just press it
- 27:20Speaker 3: up in the air all the way, all the way. Well,
- 27:21Speaker 3: you gotta put on.
- 27:22Speaker 5: Something in the middle of pressing up on little dot. Oh,
- 27:29Speaker 5: it don't work, Get out of here. Go just go Jack, Go.
- 27:36Speaker 3: Hanging on for dear life out there. That's the second
- 27:38Speaker 3: time Jack's.
- 27:39Speaker 4: Don't massive like the old Chad Powers concept vibe like
- 27:44Speaker 4: this is a vessel. Oh Jesus for the production team
- 27:47Speaker 4: and the writers behind this show. That's where I think
- 27:50Speaker 4: they do a really good job. I love the love
- 27:52Speaker 4: interest with Chad Powers and Ricky going on love all
- 27:56Speaker 4: the side characters like this is it is a fun show.
- 27:59Speaker 5: It is fun show to right.
- 28:00Speaker 3: In this third episode, you get to dive into like
- 28:03Speaker 3: some some actual ball like they play Old Miss early
- 28:08Speaker 3: and I mean, we're not giving out spoilers, but we're
- 28:10Speaker 3: giving out spoilers a little bit streaming now. If you
- 28:11Speaker 3: haven't seen it, you should have seen it. Like Chad
- 28:13Speaker 3: Powers is the backup and he has to sit there
- 28:16Speaker 3: and he's what's the the coach's daughter. What's her name,
- 28:19Speaker 3: Ricky Oka? Yeah, Ricky, She's sitting back there, like, hey,
- 28:22Speaker 3: cover two if they Aggie special, bab ball, all these things,
- 28:25Speaker 3: and so she goes and gets an argument with her
- 28:27Speaker 3: old man who's the head coach. The football team storms off.
- 28:30Speaker 3: He kicks her off the field, gets her out of there.
- 28:31Speaker 3: The booster. Some of these things are so funny because
- 28:33Speaker 3: they could they will literally never happen in an actual
- 28:35Speaker 3: football game. But that's the fun part about shows. The
- 28:38Speaker 3: boosters like getting upset up in the suite. So she
- 28:40Speaker 3: comes down on the field and it's like talking coach
- 28:43Speaker 3: put Powers in. They end up putting Powers in because
- 28:46Speaker 3: the mascot trips the starting quarterback, which, by the way,
- 28:49Speaker 3: the starting quarterback is I can't remember his name. He's
- 28:52Speaker 3: so funny. He is so funny the way he operates,
- 28:56Speaker 3: like the running around like he's a team guy. Yeah,
- 29:01Speaker 3: it's it's so funny. He's like running off of the
- 29:04Speaker 3: sideline and I see that runs out of bounds. The
- 29:06Speaker 3: Catfish mascot, the guy who's been helping out Chad Powers,
- 29:08Speaker 3: trips him and he rolls his ankle. So Chad Powers
- 29:11Speaker 3: has to go in the game. There's like whatever a
- 29:13Speaker 3: minute left in the game. They're down by a touchdown
- 29:17Speaker 3: and Chad Powers, you know, gets the whole thing that
- 29:19Speaker 3: he actually has a big run, holds on the ball
- 29:23Speaker 3: and won't let go because I having PTSD from that
- 29:25Speaker 3: first game.
- 29:26Speaker 5: The game they first see yeah.
- 29:27Speaker 3: And so, And the best part is nice cameo from
- 29:30Speaker 3: Eli Manning. Nice cameo. I don't think Kiffin wasn't in it. No,
- 29:36Speaker 3: but Eli has one line. Who the fuck is that guy? Yeah, dude,
- 29:43Speaker 3: it's I'm telling you, bro, it's such a good show
- 29:46Speaker 3: and it just gets better.
- 29:47Speaker 4: And the side character too. You brought a run a
- 29:49Speaker 4: Tricia the booster Lady's.
- 29:50Speaker 3: So funny, so funny. It smacks Chad Powers on the
- 29:54Speaker 3: ass on his other way out. It's just it's just
- 29:57Speaker 3: good man. I hope you guys enjoy that show, because
- 29:58Speaker 3: I really am enjoying watch. I was just sit there
- 30:01Speaker 3: and I have a little free time by myself.
- 30:03Speaker 8: To be completely honest, I forgot that new episodes come
- 30:05Speaker 8: out on Tuesday, And last night went on to Hulu
- 30:09Speaker 8: to see if episode three had come out yet, and
- 30:11Speaker 8: I was so bummed I had forgotten about Tuesday. I
- 30:14Speaker 8: cannot wait to watch episode three.
- 30:17Speaker 4: Yeah, we got a segment we're gonna do fresh, fresh
- 30:21Speaker 4: set of downs custom segment where we spotlight a transfer
- 30:25Speaker 4: portal player current or past who wasn't playing well buried
- 30:28Speaker 4: on the depth chart. All they needed was a fresh
- 30:30Speaker 4: set of downs or a fresh start in order to
- 30:32Speaker 4: spark the redemption story and turn their college careers around.
- 30:37Speaker 4: Were about to yeah, oh oh this week listen, you
- 30:41Speaker 4: might think to yourself, was he buried on the depth chart?
- 30:44Speaker 9: Even?
- 30:44Speaker 4: Either way, this player needed a fresh set of downs,
- 30:47Speaker 4: and it's Carson Beck. Carson Beck, Ronoval Pause. Somebody who
- 30:53Speaker 4: transferred from Georgia to Miami was written off by Dogs
- 30:56Speaker 4: fans and most college football fans after a twelve interception season.
- 30:59Speaker 4: He's currently five and oh at Miami right now, over
- 31:02Speaker 4: twelve hundred yards, passing eleven touchdowns, three interceptions, seventy three
- 31:05Speaker 4: point four percent completion rate. And tied as the Heisman favorite.
- 31:10Speaker 4: He's sitting at plus six hundred Sports Book, but shout
- 31:13Speaker 4: out the boy, Carson Beck one more.
- 31:17Speaker 3: That's awesome. Man, come in a little press conference, had
- 31:20Speaker 3: the chain on sitting there and One's like, what the
- 31:22Speaker 3: guy doing this because of his girlfriend. No, he's a dog. Dog,
- 31:27Speaker 3: He's a dog. He's actually not a dog anymore. He's
- 31:29Speaker 3: a came, came came, he's doing his thing.
- 31:33Speaker 9: Uh.
- 31:33Speaker 5: Yeah, we dive into some some tear talk.
- 31:36Speaker 3: Watch your hat, Watch your hat, Jack, Jack Jack Jack,
- 31:43Speaker 3: Jack's having a Jack had a hell of a weekend. Boys,
- 31:46Speaker 3: I'll tell you this you. I don't know how much
- 31:48Speaker 3: the vog's gonna highlight Jack and Tanner, but they took
- 31:54Speaker 3: they took everything in their own hands.
- 31:55Speaker 6: Definitely took my biggest step as a game with this weekend.
- 31:58Speaker 3: Yeah, took his biggest step in the game about but yeah,
- 32:02Speaker 3: but it worked out for you.
- 32:03Speaker 10: It worked out. Now with that being said, can all
- 32:06Speaker 10: go downhill? I go back to Vegas this weekend as
- 32:09Speaker 10: a sick o Titans.
- 32:11Speaker 3: No, I forgot about that.
- 32:12Speaker 9: But it's gonna be.
- 32:16Speaker 3: Damn the first time. Yeah, first time in the show.
- 32:19Speaker 5: He's excited.
- 32:20Speaker 6: Yeah, so anyways, are we talking about Titans at all?
- 32:24Speaker 3: Yeah, we can talk about Titans.
- 32:25Speaker 5: Let's talk.
- 32:27Speaker 4: I wrote about seven minutes before field Yates comes on topick.
- 32:30Speaker 9: He'll be quick.
- 32:31Speaker 10: I wrote some things down obviously at the watch party.
- 32:35Speaker 10: I hate watch parties. Not I love being at watched
- 32:37Speaker 10: parties for busting. I hate watching games for my teams
- 32:40Speaker 10: around groups of people.
- 32:42Speaker 3: I hate watching. I hate being at watch parties when
- 32:44Speaker 3: you can't watch the game. Yeah, pisses me off.
- 32:46Speaker 10: And so I was kind of in the corner at
- 32:47Speaker 10: the merchable with g watching YouTube TV on my phone.
- 32:50Speaker 10: It's delayed like thirty seconds. So what the projector was?
- 32:53Speaker 10: But anyway, so a couple of things I wrote down.
- 32:56Speaker 10: I'll just read them off quickly.
- 32:57Speaker 9: Wards.
- 32:58Speaker 10: Composure out out him in the fourth quarter, the Dott
- 33:02Speaker 10: to Ridley, everything that we've been wanting. We needed Calvin
- 33:05Speaker 10: to finally get some good catches. Huge defense, shifted a
- 33:08Speaker 10: huge gear night and day first half, second, half, second out,
- 33:11Speaker 10: complete shutout, amazing, and also the explosive flipping plays. I mean,
- 33:16Speaker 10: if you're an Arizona Cardinals fan, my thoughts and prayers
- 33:19Speaker 10: go out to you because it's just a brutal from
- 33:23Speaker 10: the interception to the Mickey Mouse fumble touchdown Tyler Lockett
- 33:28Speaker 10: scores to the dropping of the seventy four yards rushing.
- 33:34Speaker 5: TD shut him out.
- 33:35Speaker 10: Yeah, brutal, but I think over everything, just a gritty,
- 33:40Speaker 10: poised win that was obviously capitalized off a lot of
- 33:44Speaker 10: mistakes made by the Arizona Cardinals. But this win with
- 33:47Speaker 10: a rookie quarterback, this is something that can truly galvanize
- 33:50Speaker 10: a locker room. I am not gonna even touch on
- 33:52Speaker 10: Brian Callahan. We're gonna focus on a good team win.
- 33:56Speaker 10: But this is something that will hopefully create create a
- 34:00Speaker 10: little evidence for the Titans, Yeah, especially for that locker
- 34:02Speaker 10: room to just have something to believe in going another
- 34:05Speaker 10: road wind, hopefully against the Raiders. I will be in
- 34:08Speaker 10: there in Allegiance Stadium, very.
- 34:11Speaker 9: Excited for that.
- 34:11Speaker 10: And then we come home in two weeks and we
- 34:14Speaker 10: have a really scary one against the Patriots. We all
- 34:16Speaker 10: saw what happened on Sunday Night Football. The Patriots are
- 34:19Speaker 10: for real. But yeah, and it's it's back. Yeah, and
- 34:24Speaker 10: it's gonna be a homecoming, Like people are gonna be
- 34:26Speaker 10: stoked to have him there, Like I there will be
- 34:28Speaker 10: no booze in that stadium, and if they will are
- 34:31Speaker 10: they will not.
- 34:32Speaker 9: Be from me or in section one twenty.
- 34:33Speaker 3: Here's here's last week we've been. We were sitting and saying,
- 34:36Speaker 3: Mike Rabel is going to get more applause than when
- 34:38Speaker 3: the Titans come out. Yes, if they can stack another
- 34:41Speaker 3: win against the Raiders.
- 34:43Speaker 6: There might be some booze.
- 34:44Speaker 3: I'd be some booze for rapes. Yeah, probably not probably
- 34:47Speaker 3: not great, but it would when Rabel is shown or
- 34:51Speaker 3: something like that.
- 34:51Speaker 10: Hopefully it'll be seventy percent full at least. But yeah,
- 34:55Speaker 10: that's excited. It just nice to have a Monday where
- 34:59Speaker 10: I can just exists in my life.
- 35:02Speaker 6: Yeah, so that's that's really it.
- 35:04Speaker 9: Man, tighten up.
- 35:07Speaker 10: I feel bad for Coop, but also Coop.
- 35:13Speaker 6: Kind of bailed out on his Cardinals at the live show.
- 35:16Speaker 3: Which is crazy.
- 35:17Speaker 9: So I don't know that is the reason Coop did.
- 35:19Speaker 3: Show up at a Titans watch party with Cardinal stuff on.
- 35:22Speaker 9: Fair enough.
- 35:24Speaker 3: Made his girlfriend Kyler.
- 35:26Speaker 5: Murray is the guy and like that.
- 35:28Speaker 11: Yeah, nothing is ever Kyler's fault.
- 35:31Speaker 1: Right right?
- 35:32Speaker 3: And also, what's Kyler Murray's record since the New Call
- 35:36Speaker 3: of du Yeah.
- 35:37Speaker 10: Drums and Kyler Murray is no officially, oh and one
- 35:41Speaker 10: with the call of duty beta. So we all know
- 35:45Speaker 10: Kyler and his call of duty addiction.
- 35:48Speaker 3: Who knows. We don't have to cut that, but there
- 35:52Speaker 3: will be a graphic. Jack is actually making Coop make
- 35:54Speaker 3: a graphic for that, which is one of the craziest thing.
- 35:57Speaker 5: Yeah, gotta have it thought, g t Yeah.
- 36:01Speaker 3: What's a little tear talk before we get field yates on.
- 36:04Speaker 3: We got one from a big pee pee pooh pooh guy. Yes,
- 36:09Speaker 3: seems like a shirm burner to me. Yo, gooder boys,
- 36:12Speaker 3: My wife thinks my spectober stume, that's why you think
- 36:15Speaker 3: it's shirm right there? Stem game is weak. How can
- 36:18Speaker 3: I up my stum game? Appreciate you boys? Ps? Hey Taylor,
- 36:23Speaker 3: uh shrim was this you?
- 36:26Speaker 1: Hey?
- 36:27Speaker 3: God mite? Was this you?
- 36:28Speaker 4: I mean, just a fully prepared graphic. You got the
- 36:31Speaker 4: the AI behind eye big pee pee poo poo guy,
- 36:35Speaker 4: Hay Taylor stume.
- 36:37Speaker 11: He was sitting back here, typing away during Greg Olson
- 36:41Speaker 11: giggling to himself, not even giggling, dying laughing.
- 36:44Speaker 9: He was giggling.
- 36:45Speaker 10: He was walking out and I'm sitting on the couch
- 36:47Speaker 10: on there and He's like, dude, you think they're gonna
- 36:48Speaker 10: think this is a I.
- 36:52Speaker 3: Hilarious though, but I will answer big pee pee pee
- 36:57Speaker 3: poop pee pee pooh pooh guy, buddy, the best thing
- 37:01Speaker 3: you need to do with the stume is go full comment.
- 37:03Speaker 3: Now you gotta full commit if you have the opportunity
- 37:04Speaker 3: to wear makeup, wear the makeup you have an opportunity
- 37:06Speaker 3: to buy. Go with the extra lake, spend a couple
- 37:08Speaker 3: extra bucks for the nicer costume. Google the extra mile
- 37:11Speaker 3: for the for the costume. And it's just coming from
- 37:13Speaker 3: a guy that let everybody down on Week one is spooptober.
- 37:15Speaker 3: I shouldn't be answering this question, but however, as a
- 37:18Speaker 3: man who loves and breathes this holiday, you only get
- 37:22Speaker 3: thirty one days, you might as well take full advantage
- 37:24Speaker 3: if you're gonna up your steme game to this random individual.
- 37:28Speaker 4: We got another one here from at Tier one Tony
- 37:31Speaker 4: the gooner guy, Heyo Will and Taylor. I got fired
- 37:35Speaker 4: from my old job because I dressed up as the
- 37:37Speaker 4: Whole for Spectober at the office and apparently my shorts
- 37:40Speaker 4: were a little too tight.
- 37:41Speaker 5: Sue me. Did I fuck up?
- 37:43Speaker 4: Or was the old job the problem? Should I dress
- 37:46Speaker 4: up this year at my new job.
- 37:48Speaker 3: That's a good question.
- 37:49Speaker 5: Great question.
- 37:49Speaker 3: Another graphic, Another AI graphic. The AI graphic gave me
- 37:53Speaker 3: Will's old teeth? Did you see that he is insane?
- 37:57Speaker 3: That is pretty wild.
- 37:59Speaker 5: There is operating behind the computer.
- 38:01Speaker 3: There is again what's he giggling about? But if I
- 38:07Speaker 3: was to answer to this random individual's question, I would
- 38:10Speaker 3: say absolutely. And if you get fired from your job
- 38:13Speaker 3: for dressing up, that job's not for you. That job
- 38:15Speaker 3: should be done.

- 38:52Speaker 1: Got cam Ward loves you guys, So.
- 38:54Speaker 3: Dude, talk about Cam a little bit. I mean he
- 38:57Speaker 3: gets his first win yesterday. I mean the guy statistically
- 39:01Speaker 3: not the greatest, but from a press corfet standpoint, from
- 39:03Speaker 3: a leadership standpoint. As a rookie, I heard an amazing
- 39:06Speaker 3: story about him when he first transferred to Miami that
- 39:08Speaker 3: he was basically mfing a lot of guys talking about
- 39:11Speaker 3: being great right in spring, Like, tell tell me about
- 39:14Speaker 3: cam Ward.
- 39:15Speaker 12: Oh, the best story was he got here and you
- 39:18Speaker 12: know we really needed an alpha at quarterback. And so
- 39:21Speaker 12: right away, right I want all the wide receivers numbers.
- 39:23Speaker 12: I want to call him up. I want to want
- 39:25Speaker 12: to get some routes in on Saturday. And he gets
- 39:28Speaker 12: them all rounded up except for one. One uh one
- 39:30Speaker 12: hit him up with, you know, like a big time
- 39:32Speaker 12: attitude like now, man, I'm I'm in Fort Laudert, I'm
- 39:35Speaker 12: gonna I'm gonna throw with Lamar Jackson. And Cam says,
- 39:38Speaker 12: all right, mother, you want to go through with Lamar Jackson,
- 39:41Speaker 12: you better throw you passes during the year because I'm
- 39:43Speaker 12: gonna tell you squat and uh that made the receiver
- 39:47Speaker 12: get in the car and come back down.
- 39:50Speaker 3: Hey, that is incredible.
- 39:52Speaker 5: That is really cool.
- 39:53Speaker 4: What is what are your thoughts like when he's coming
- 39:55Speaker 4: out last week after the press conference saying I'm gonna
- 39:57Speaker 4: keep it a buck right now. We asked that was
- 39:58Speaker 4: obviously going viral. You know, people kind of get uneasy, like,
- 40:03Speaker 4: you know, about him being so blunt and transparent about it.
- 40:05Speaker 4: But as as his former head coach, what are you
- 40:07Speaker 4: sitting back and thinking when he's going out to a
- 40:10Speaker 4: press conference saying something like that.
- 40:12Speaker 1: Yeah, I mean we talked about it. You know.
- 40:13Speaker 12: It's it's almost like nowadays you guys, know, you guys
- 40:16Speaker 12: were ball players.
- 40:17Speaker 1: It's like everything is so intrusive.
- 40:19Speaker 12: Man, So if if you're feeling something that comes out,
- 40:22Speaker 12: get ready for it to go viral and you almost
- 40:24Speaker 12: have to conduct yourself in a manner where you got
- 40:27Speaker 12: to almost script your mouth sometimes. But I mean, that
- 40:30Speaker 12: guy is just curre raw emotion. He is the ultimate
- 40:33Speaker 12: competitor and he wants nothing more than to win. He
- 40:36Speaker 12: could give a rats, you know what about anything except winning.
- 40:40Speaker 12: So he's going to be unfiltered. But you're going to
- 40:42Speaker 12: get the very best of that guy every time he
- 40:44Speaker 12: sets fit on the field.
- 40:45Speaker 3: Coach We're living in such a unique world of college
- 40:47Speaker 3: football right now. You're one of six schools that had
- 40:49Speaker 3: a top twenty five recruiting class and transferport class in
- 40:52Speaker 3: the last three seasons. How do you get so many
- 40:55Speaker 3: new faces to bin into your culture week in and
- 40:58Speaker 3: week out? Because it's when I mean, obviously, when Will
- 41:01Speaker 3: and I played, we would go to the school you chose,
- 41:03Speaker 3: the school you went to, and if you were to transfer,
- 41:05Speaker 3: you have to sit out for a year. There's a
- 41:06Speaker 3: whole bunch of things. But that didn't really happen a
- 41:07Speaker 3: whole lot. So the guys you're with in year one,
- 41:09Speaker 3: you're within your four or five. How do you keep
- 41:13Speaker 3: a culture and keep guys blended together in such a
- 41:15Speaker 3: way when you have so much turnover every single year.
- 41:18Speaker 12: Well, we've been learning and improving at that process because
- 41:21Speaker 12: you're right, like it's it's almost like every year you're
- 41:24Speaker 12: coaching a one year team, right and the goal is
- 41:27Speaker 12: get them all here early, get them here in January,
- 41:29Speaker 12: and then go right to work and go right to
- 41:31Speaker 12: every opportunity you can have to get these dudes together
- 41:35Speaker 12: in a competitive environment and then an environment where they
- 41:37Speaker 12: could open up and you know, find out a little
- 41:39Speaker 12: bit more about each other. That's when you get to
- 41:42Speaker 12: know people, because you really can't respect anybody until you
- 41:44Speaker 12: get to know them, until you work your butts off
- 41:46Speaker 12: with them, and so.
- 41:47Speaker 1: We provide that for them. It's really that simple.
- 41:49Speaker 12: But we have done a really good job choosing the
- 41:51Speaker 12: right guys because we were to a level where if
- 41:53Speaker 12: you don't like work, you're going to hate it around here.
- 41:56Speaker 4: How the how's the process? Because you talked about how
- 41:59Speaker 4: it's kind of the developed and changed. How do you
- 42:01Speaker 4: develop that process? Because again, it's like we can rattle
- 42:04Speaker 4: off that in the last three years you've have a
- 42:06Speaker 4: top twenty five recruiting class and transfer portal class. But
- 42:09Speaker 4: how has that kind of evolved over the course of
- 42:12Speaker 4: the last few years. Especially it's like your first season,
- 42:15Speaker 4: you're only a five win team, so you're pitching this vision.
- 42:17Speaker 4: You're trying to sell the program while also trying to
- 42:20Speaker 4: get better, Like, hey, there are some things I liked
- 42:22Speaker 4: about this process in year one on having a top
- 42:24Speaker 4: twenty five recruiting class and transfer portal class. How has
- 42:26Speaker 4: it developed into where you currently are?
- 42:29Speaker 1: Well?
- 42:30Speaker 12: I learned as a GA I came to Miami as
- 42:33Speaker 12: a graduate assistant when they were really bad. They were
- 42:35Speaker 12: coming off probation. That roster was abysmal, and I quickly
- 42:39Speaker 12: learned the value of talent acquisition along with player development
- 42:42Speaker 12: and then personal use. And so arriving at Miami three
- 42:46Speaker 12: years ago, it was the roster needed a massive overhaul.
- 42:51Speaker 12: And now that you can construct your roster in a
- 42:54Speaker 12: couple of different manners. I mean, of course the portal
- 42:56Speaker 12: and high school recruiting, but you also have junior college recruiting.
- 42:59Speaker 1: You have over recruit, you have the preferred walk on route.
- 43:03Speaker 1: You can find really really good quality players that are
- 43:06Speaker 1: made of the right stuff.
- 43:08Speaker 12: And there was a second transfer windows, so spring was
- 43:11Speaker 12: almost like mini camp. And again I was never in
- 43:14Speaker 12: the NFL except for you know, a couple of coffee
- 43:17Speaker 12: as an undrafted free agent, but you kind of use
- 43:20Speaker 12: the springtime as mini camp and found out what fit,
- 43:22Speaker 12: what didn't fit, and then make more adjustments and additions
- 43:25Speaker 12: from there.
- 43:26Speaker 1: But it all it all related around the culture.
- 43:28Speaker 12: Man. It was all about a getting hard work and
- 43:29Speaker 12: tough ass sobs that want to be part of it
- 43:32Speaker 12: and aren't willing to compromise the right stuff.
- 43:35Speaker 3: You talked about your roster, you had three years ago.
- 43:37Speaker 3: One guy you have that is a homegrown individual considered
- 43:40Speaker 3: a top ten pick is Francis Mowe. Noah, did I
- 43:44Speaker 3: say that correct?
- 43:45Speaker 12: You know?
- 43:46Speaker 3: Okay, talk to me about you. I'm an offensive line.
- 43:49Speaker 3: I'm an off it'sive line guy. I played it. I
- 43:51Speaker 3: love it. This guy seems like an absolute grinder. Talk
- 43:53Speaker 3: to me about his development and now he's staring down
- 43:56Speaker 3: you know, possibly millions of dollars and a great NFL
- 43:59Speaker 3: career on the horizon. But talk about this guy's leadership,
- 44:02Speaker 3: his abilities, what he's great at.
- 44:05Speaker 12: Unbelievable leader, an absolute freakazoid of a human being. I mean,
- 44:09Speaker 12: every day it's him and Reuben Bain head to head.
- 44:12Speaker 12: It's Jurassic Park out there practice. The best part about
- 44:18Speaker 12: this is when we got here, those guys were recruits,
- 44:20Speaker 12: so they wait for us outside the stadium in our
- 44:22Speaker 12: first year when we were getting our faces kicked in
- 44:25Speaker 12: and they'd wait and we'd sit with him, and we
- 44:28Speaker 12: were very transparent, very honest, like, man, we ain't we
- 44:31Speaker 12: are not good right now. And the whole plan is
- 44:34Speaker 12: to get you and the class here with you and
- 44:36Speaker 12: build upon that, and you're gonna have to be guys
- 44:38Speaker 12: at the forefront. You're not gonna have to sit around
- 44:41Speaker 12: and wait your rope counting on you to make it happen.
- 44:43Speaker 1: And they believed the vision. They stuck to it.
- 44:46Speaker 12: They saw what we had done at previous stops, and brother,
- 44:48Speaker 12: they were the building blocks.
- 44:49Speaker 1: Man. Those were tough ass sons of guns because.
- 44:52Speaker 12: They saw how bad things were and they were willing
- 44:55Speaker 12: to still come here and do it. And now you
- 44:57Speaker 12: got you know, Francis, we call him CC. His bone
- 45:00Speaker 12: density is at like Lebronosaurus. I mean, he's three hundred
- 45:04Speaker 12: and fifty pounds.
- 45:05Speaker 5: Oh, I love that.
- 45:06Speaker 3: This dude's prey story.
- 45:07Speaker 1: Yes, yes, yeah, he's you know.
- 45:09Speaker 12: And we had Pine Sul when we were out west
- 45:11Speaker 12: as well, and it's it's just a different breed of creature.
- 45:16Speaker 1: I mean, just athletic.
- 45:17Speaker 12: Physical, super powerful, twitch beyond measure and then football instinct,
- 45:23Speaker 12: smarts and an elite human being, like he's one of
- 45:25Speaker 12: the best community leaders you'll ever be around. And then
- 45:28Speaker 12: when you watch him and Vain and Mesidor and those
- 45:31Speaker 12: guys go out it every day, man, iron sharpens iron
- 45:33Speaker 12: for real?
- 45:34Speaker 4: How important, like how quickly was the importance of getting
- 45:38Speaker 4: your staff and personnel right on the talent acquisition side.
- 45:42Speaker 4: You looking at a team like yours right now, you
- 45:44Speaker 4: basically revamp the entire back end in the offseason. But
- 45:47Speaker 4: also you look at teams like Texas Tech Oregon I
- 45:49Speaker 4: would put up there as well as far as the people,
- 45:52Speaker 4: the whole talent acquisition thing, grading talent guys coming into
- 45:56Speaker 4: your coming into your facility. How important was that puzzle piece.
- 45:59Speaker 4: I don't know if it's like GM, like you got
- 46:01Speaker 4: kind of a scouting department now, but how important? How
- 46:04Speaker 4: quickly was that important established at Miami?
- 46:07Speaker 1: It's got to be everybody on board. Man.
- 46:09Speaker 12: You know, nothing worse than than a coach that thinks
- 46:11Speaker 12: that he's the secret sauce. You know, alwa, it's my plays,
- 46:15Speaker 12: it's my design, it's my teaching bs. You know, the
- 46:18Speaker 12: magic is the players now, players with mentality and culture
- 46:22Speaker 12: creates real magic. But getting everybody to understand that you
- 46:26Speaker 12: have to bring in high level, high ceiling talent that's
- 46:31Speaker 12: willing to work their butts off, because nowadays in college football,
- 46:34Speaker 12: everybody has good players. And if you're crazy enough to
- 46:36Speaker 12: think that your opponent on a weekly basis doesn't have
- 46:40Speaker 12: enough talent to whoop your ass, you're out of your mind.
- 46:42Speaker 12: Everybody has talent, so talent acquisition and then the right
- 46:46Speaker 12: type of talent, the right type of mentality, the right
- 46:49Speaker 12: type of DNA.
- 46:50Speaker 3: So you play, you play in this last game and
- 46:53Speaker 3: they're talking to you on the field and you look
- 46:55Speaker 3: directly in the camera and you say, we're state champs.
- 46:58Speaker 3: What does it mean to be a state champ in Florida?
- 47:01Speaker 3: Which you know, a lot of people say that's the
- 47:03Speaker 3: mecca of you know, high school football, football, speed, talent, everything,
- 47:07Speaker 3: Like what does that mean for you? Guys?
- 47:09Speaker 1: It means a ton of me as a former Miami Hurricane,
- 47:12Speaker 1: as a former player here, this game was everything to us. Man.
- 47:15Speaker 12: It always was, you know, playing the in state teams.
- 47:18Speaker 12: I mean it seemed like the national title always went
- 47:20Speaker 12: through Coral Gables or one of those other cities or
- 47:23Speaker 12: South Bend. So the stakes were always high, the intensity
- 47:26Speaker 12: was off the charts.
- 47:28Speaker 1: You know.
- 47:28Speaker 12: When we got here, we were so far behind, we
- 47:30Speaker 12: were so far, so deep into just a bad roster spot,
- 47:35Speaker 12: a bad culture spot that I think people took joy
- 47:40Speaker 12: and kind of beating us around a little bit. So
- 47:42Speaker 12: we've been a very how do I say this politically correct,
- 47:45Speaker 12: We've been a very driven team and a hard working
- 47:48Speaker 12: team to just get better. And we got a long
- 47:51Speaker 12: way to go. I mean, we have massive improvement that
- 47:53Speaker 12: we need to make to accomplish our goals, but we're progressing.
- 47:56Speaker 12: And we finally had the opportunity for two years straight
- 47:58Speaker 12: to be Mpings for Florida and that means a ton
- 48:01Speaker 12: to us.
- 48:01Speaker 1: So our alumni, they're all about the Interstate games Man.
- 48:04Speaker 1: They love it. So glad to see them get to enjoy.
- 48:07Speaker 5: That you were telling.
- 48:09Speaker 4: We were telling stories about cam Ward and the leadership
- 48:12Speaker 4: that he brought in, the intangibles that he brought to
- 48:15Speaker 4: the locker room to kind of go with his talent.
- 48:17Speaker 4: Carson Becket somebody, you guys go out and get and
- 48:20Speaker 4: walk us through that process of thumb nailing through or
- 48:24Speaker 4: or combing through. This is the right guy for the program,
- 48:27Speaker 4: especially when you look at he's transferred from Georgia. There's
- 48:30Speaker 4: some off field drama, whether people make stuff up on
- 48:33Speaker 4: the internet with girlfriends, stolen car, like just different things.
- 48:36Speaker 4: For Carson beck you go out and beat Notre Dame
- 48:39Speaker 4: and he has such an emotional postgame presser to where
- 48:41Speaker 4: you're starting to it feels like people kind of start
- 48:44Speaker 4: to root for the guy because he seems so emotional,
- 48:46Speaker 4: like he's grown and everything else. What was the process
- 48:48Speaker 4: like of being like, this is the guy we want
- 48:50Speaker 4: to be at the quarterback of our team to kind
- 48:52Speaker 4: of success cam Ward.
- 48:55Speaker 1: Yeah, it starts with the film.
- 48:58Speaker 12: And actually, so let's go back to the high I
- 49:00Speaker 12: mean I was at coaching at another place, but I
- 49:02Speaker 12: watched him in high school.
- 49:03Speaker 1: I'm like that guys a dude love to have him.
- 49:06Speaker 12: And then you watch him in twenty three at Georgia
- 49:09Speaker 12: and it's off the charts. I mean, let's let's go
- 49:11Speaker 12: back in time. When entering twenty twenty four, Carson Beck
- 49:16Speaker 12: was a projected top quarterback to be taken and cam
- 49:18Speaker 12: Ward was a projected fifth the seventh rounder.
- 49:20Speaker 1: Right, yeah, fast ward.
- 49:22Speaker 12: A year later, cam Ward comes over here, he works
- 49:25Speaker 12: his butt off, We give him a great offensive line,
- 49:27Speaker 12: the right pieces around him, and opportunities to make plays.
- 49:30Speaker 1: He becomes a number one pick.
- 49:31Speaker 12: So it's fast forward again, and then now we have
- 49:35Speaker 12: watching Carson on film. We thought that his twenty four
- 49:38Speaker 12: season was not a complete reflection of him, his play,
- 49:42Speaker 12: his ability. We thought that some of the things, not
- 49:45Speaker 12: being critical of anybody, I don't believe that that type
- 49:48Speaker 12: of stuff. I just think that they didn't look and
- 49:50Speaker 12: sync and he wasn't playing to his capabilities due to
- 49:54Speaker 12: some of the pieces, some of the schematic stuff.
- 49:56Speaker 1: So we're like, we can that guy over here in
- 49:59Speaker 1: our scheme.
- 49:59Speaker 12: We can, We could be really damn good, and we're
- 50:01Speaker 12: not there yet, but we're certainly progressing and he's really
- 50:04Speaker 12: starting to take off now.
- 50:05Speaker 3: Yeah, a lot of the conversation was Carson Beck was
- 50:07Speaker 3: the issue for Georgia, and now we're sitting in this
- 50:09Speaker 3: part of well, maybe Georgia was the issue for Carson Beck,
- 50:11Speaker 3: and Carson Beck's actually the dog out there. You guys
- 50:14Speaker 3: are now sitting with an undefeated season so far. We
- 50:16Speaker 3: look to last year and we see the end of
- 50:18Speaker 3: October November, but we als kind of fall off a
- 50:21Speaker 3: little bit. What is the conversation taking place with you
- 50:24Speaker 3: guys in that building of keeping your eye on the prize.
- 50:27Speaker 3: We're in the agency, getting in the playoffs and making
- 50:29Speaker 3: a real run out of national.
- 50:30Speaker 12: Title reality, Man, you know, one week out of time
- 50:33Speaker 12: and being where your feet are, I mean, any there's
- 50:36Speaker 12: no value in looking at a pole of projection anything
- 50:40Speaker 12: of that nature. I mean I know everyone's always and
- 50:42Speaker 12: I work for coach Savan back in the day and
- 50:45Speaker 12: the whole rap poison speech. There's a lot of value
- 50:47Speaker 12: to that. But humility is a week away, brother, I
- 50:50Speaker 12: mean it is right around the corner. You want to
- 50:52Speaker 12: thank you. You've got it all figured out, and you
- 50:54Speaker 12: take an arrogant approach to this game and to your opponent,
- 50:57Speaker 12: they're going to get your face kicked in.
- 50:59Speaker 1: And we've learned and our lessons are hard way.
- 51:01Speaker 12: We are extremely rigid and regimented and what we do
- 51:05Speaker 12: on a weekly basis, and we're just working our butts
- 51:08Speaker 12: off to make sure that all the focus is right
- 51:11Speaker 12: here on the University of Miami and us getting better
- 51:13Speaker 12: because we have to get a hell of a lot
- 51:15Speaker 12: better to be a one to know every week.
- 51:17Speaker 3: You brought up sorry will, you brought up Nick Saban
- 51:20Speaker 3: And we had Greg Olsen on just earlier and he
- 51:22Speaker 3: said a quote that you told him, which is when
- 51:26Speaker 3: the tire comes into the palace, you make them a
- 51:28Speaker 3: part of the ceremony. We were talking about Jordan Addison.
- 51:32Speaker 3: They went across upon the Vikings, went across the pond,
- 51:34Speaker 3: and he wanted to go sight see for a little
- 51:35Speaker 3: bit in London misses a meeting, so they hold him
- 51:37Speaker 3: out for the first quarter, and the question was would
- 51:40Speaker 3: you do the same thing. He brings up that quote
- 51:43Speaker 3: and gave you credit for giving that quote. Talk to
- 51:46Speaker 3: us about keeping these guys in line. Distractions all the thing,
- 51:49Speaker 3: especially in a place like Miami, Buddy, I've been down
- 51:51Speaker 3: to Miami. Very limited clothing in Miami. A lot of
- 51:54Speaker 3: distractions out there, Mimy, how are we handling business out there?
- 51:59Speaker 1: I mean, I think it's a look.
- 52:01Speaker 12: I'm I'm born in nineteen I'm you know, seventies, baby,
- 52:06Speaker 12: So I lived through the days of Miami vice in scarface,
- 52:09Speaker 12: and I get it like that probably will stick around forever,
- 52:12Speaker 12: and it's cool.
- 52:13Speaker 1: I love Miami because of what Miami always was and
- 52:16Speaker 1: always will be.
- 52:17Speaker 12: But brother, those days are like you know what I mean,
- 52:20Speaker 12: Like when people recruit against us, they make it sound
- 52:22Speaker 12: like it's like, you know, Pablo Escobar and company going
- 52:25Speaker 12: crazy about it. We're in Coral Gables, which hopefully you
- 52:30Speaker 12: guys get a little time put on cams tab you
- 52:33Speaker 12: could afford it, get you down here so you could
- 52:35Speaker 12: spend some time in Coral Gables. There isn't a nicer
- 52:38Speaker 12: city in the country. And the trajectory of this city
- 52:41Speaker 12: economically and from a quality of life standpoint is through
- 52:44Speaker 12: the roof, so like our setting is off the charts,
- 52:48Speaker 12: like perfect and private, so that our guys could take
- 52:51Speaker 12: care of their stuff, and we keep them so busy.
- 52:53Speaker 12: There's I mean, I coached all over the country, and
- 52:56Speaker 12: I always felt that there were more distractions in the
- 52:59Speaker 12: smaller college sounds, and there ever wore up Miami because
- 53:02Speaker 12: of the location of col Gables.
- 53:03Speaker 1: So I know that answered the question or not.
- 53:05Speaker 12: But these guys from a focus there but which is
- 53:08Speaker 12: very real.
- 53:09Speaker 1: We don't play ahead games or whatnot.
- 53:11Speaker 12: There's if we want to accomplish what we say we
- 53:13Speaker 12: want to accomplish, we got to cut out all the
- 53:16Speaker 12: bs and keep the focus on what needs to be done.
- 53:19Speaker 4: We'll go ahead and we'll take that as an offer
- 53:21Speaker 4: to come out to Miami for this spring tour next year. Yeah, yes, ye, yeah,
- 53:25Speaker 4: yeah I do. How fun is it to watch Malachi Tony.
- 53:30Speaker 4: He's nicknamed Baby Jesus. He turned eighteen just two weeks ago.
- 53:33Speaker 4: He seems to be like what he is one of
- 53:35Speaker 4: the most electrifying players in the country. How fun is
- 53:38Speaker 4: it to just watch that dude go to work from
- 53:41Speaker 4: the sideline on game day.
- 53:43Speaker 1: Yeah, it was the same thing with my son. He
- 53:45Speaker 1: first day of school, he asked if he could skip school.
- 53:47Speaker 1: I said, what do you want to skip school for?
- 53:49Speaker 12: He says, I want to go watch baby Jesus, what
- 53:53Speaker 12: are you talking about, dude? And he tells me that's
- 53:57Speaker 12: Malachai Tony's nickname.
- 53:58Speaker 1: Well, you know, kay Toni's dad was a legend down here.
- 54:01Speaker 1: He was an unbelievable football player.
- 54:03Speaker 12: In fact, one of the most famous moments down here
- 54:05Speaker 12: was with his dad race Devin Hester Street Race, which
- 54:10Speaker 12: was again just iconic day down here. But so Malachi
- 54:14Speaker 12: is DNA and his football background, his mom awesome person
- 54:18Speaker 12: as well. He's like he's a football junkie. His approach
- 54:22Speaker 12: the ball is out of a professional. It's been in
- 54:23Speaker 12: the game for twenty years. He's an autocorrect guy. He's
- 54:27Speaker 12: a relentless get here early, stay here late guy. I
- 54:31Speaker 12: am Maybe I should check his birth certificate.
- 54:33Speaker 1: Maybe he's not a team right right?
- 54:36Speaker 3: Yes, he hads in the car that says, I am twelve?
- 54:41Speaker 1: What's that there?
- 54:42Speaker 12: Was?
- 54:42Speaker 3: What's the movie where they they're playing like Little League baseball?
- 54:45Speaker 3: And there's a Dominican guy comes in. He has a
- 54:47Speaker 3: piece of paper and it's a I Am twelve guy.
- 54:49Speaker 3: HiT's like fifteen Dingers. That's Malaka Tony Doubt.
- 54:52Speaker 12: I mean, he he just he just goes, man, he
- 54:55Speaker 12: just goes. There's no flinch in the guy. But he
- 54:58Speaker 12: works at it. There's no there's nobs to him, and
- 55:01Speaker 12: he just wants to get better. He's another unselfish guy.
- 55:03Speaker 12: If you get a chance, please watch him in.
- 55:05Speaker 1: The run game.
- 55:06Speaker 12: At how he throws his body around. He is absolutely
- 55:09Speaker 12: physical and reckless.
- 55:10Speaker 5: That's always like the best.
- 55:11Speaker 4: I feel like when a coach is trying to give
- 55:13Speaker 4: wide receiver the cop their praise, their flowers, they talk
- 55:16Speaker 4: about him in the run game because you're right. It's
- 55:18Speaker 4: like when the tape gets turned on and you're kind
- 55:19Speaker 4: of watching one of your teammates because you don't get
- 55:22Speaker 4: wide receivers that you know they catch the football. But
- 55:24Speaker 4: when like Rabel's showing off, somebody like showing guys getting dirty,
- 55:27Speaker 4: getting in the box block and I feel like the
- 55:29Speaker 4: kind of like juices up the entire team.
- 55:31Speaker 3: Yeah no, I'm with that. You uh, this is your
- 55:34Speaker 3: November first, will be your first game outside of the
- 55:37Speaker 3: state of Florida. How did y'all get that frontloaded Florida schedule?
- 55:40Speaker 3: How did that happen?
- 55:41Speaker 5: Who do you have to pay for that?
- 55:42Speaker 3: Yeah? That sounds nice.
- 55:44Speaker 12: The list is long but distinguished. You know, No, I
- 55:47Speaker 12: have no idea how that works while back, man, I
- 55:53Speaker 12: but you know what I mean? How many teams have
- 55:56Speaker 12: faced a first five games like we have to now?
- 55:59Speaker 12: You know, I believe we're the only Tina Face Street
- 56:00Speaker 12: ranked opponents coming out the gate. And we're good with that.
- 56:05Speaker 12: And when I played here at Miami, that's what it
- 56:07Speaker 12: was all about. So where we feel like we're improving,
- 56:10Speaker 12: we've been tested. But again, watching film with the players, say,
- 56:14Speaker 12: we got a long ways to go, man, you know,
- 56:16Speaker 12: so it's like, let's just let's just keep working our
- 56:20Speaker 12: butts off.
- 56:20Speaker 1: That's all we want to do. It's all we really
- 56:21Speaker 1: care about.
- 56:22Speaker 4: Obviously, you guys are only like not even halfway through
- 56:24Speaker 4: the season. There's a lot of ball left and you've
- 56:26Speaker 4: already alluded to it. There's a lot of improvements to
- 56:28Speaker 4: be made if you guys want to get to where
- 56:29Speaker 4: you want to go. But what does it meant for
- 56:31Speaker 4: you to kind of turn around your alma mater in
- 56:35Speaker 4: a sense because you got the documentaries that you everything else.
- 56:38Speaker 4: You're a two time national champion. But to be the
- 56:41Speaker 4: head coach of your alma mater, what's it been like
- 56:43Speaker 4: for you to kind of be in that chair and
- 56:45Speaker 4: get this thing going the right way?
- 56:47Speaker 12: And when I got the call, because you know, in football,
- 56:50Speaker 12: you know it is man, the timing's never right.
- 56:52Speaker 1: It's always in the middle of something.
- 56:53Speaker 12: There's no just clean and easy way to do it.
- 56:56Speaker 12: And we're doing really well.
- 56:58Speaker 1: You know, we just want a couple of conference titles
- 57:00Speaker 1: out west, and we had an unbelievable class committed. But
- 57:04Speaker 1: for twenty years, I was so just.
- 57:08Speaker 12: Ter raged and pissed at the way the University of
- 57:11Speaker 12: Miami was playing football and that.
- 57:15Speaker 1: It just kind of came to that point where I
- 57:16Speaker 1: had had enough.
- 57:17Speaker 12: I mean, our own people were attacking the Hurricanes, and
- 57:20Speaker 12: that was never the case. I Mean, I came here
- 57:22Speaker 12: as a player because I used to come out and
- 57:24Speaker 12: watch Alonzo Heismith and Michael Irvin and Bennie Blaze, your
- 57:27Speaker 12: own Brown, all those just creatures just crushing it and
- 57:30Speaker 12: getting after it. And I just got pissed to the
- 57:33Speaker 12: point where it was like it's I've had enough. Like
- 57:35Speaker 12: if I don't do it, who is going to do it?
- 57:37Speaker 12: And I owe Miami and I want everyone to feel
- 57:41Speaker 12: that way that ever played here.
- 57:42Speaker 1: I mean, I owe the universe. I want nobody.
- 57:44Speaker 12: I'm a local nobody that got a shop because Jimmy
- 57:47Speaker 12: Johnson decided to give my brother and I scholarships come
- 57:50Speaker 12: and play ball, which we had just started playing, you know,
- 57:52Speaker 12: for a couple of years in high school, and it
- 57:54Speaker 12: changed everything.
- 57:54Speaker 1: So I'm one of those like just super high levels
- 57:57Speaker 1: of gratitude for opportunities. And this was one where I
- 58:01Speaker 1: owe Miami, the University of Miami Hurricanes, and let's just
- 58:04Speaker 1: keep working.
- 58:05Speaker 3: That's exactly how Will Compton feels about the Nebraska Cornhuster.
- 58:10Speaker 5: In that story. I'm like, this might be my destiny.
- 58:12Speaker 5: You you will will he coach know this.
- 58:15Speaker 3: Will Compton will be the head coach of Nebraska Cornhusters
- 58:17Speaker 3: one day. I feel like I feel yeah, I feel
- 58:21Speaker 3: like we we just met. This is the first time
- 58:24Speaker 3: we've really talked. But I feel like there's we have
- 58:26Speaker 3: a nice foundation of a friendship already established. So I
- 58:28Speaker 3: have a hypothetical for you, all right, I just I
- 58:32Speaker 3: pulled I plucked this one in a thin air.
- 58:34Speaker 1: Let's just say I don't do predictions.
- 58:38Speaker 3: I promise, I promise it's not a prediction.
- 58:41Speaker 1: And then I say that all due respect and I
- 58:44Speaker 1: say respectful, I just I don't do predictions or hypothetically,
- 58:47Speaker 1: you know, the mos'll ever have I promise.
- 58:50Speaker 3: You see this right here. I don't know if you
- 58:51Speaker 3: can see me. I'm crinkling up my paper right now.
- 58:54Speaker 5: I love the situational.
- 58:56Speaker 3: I know, I know, but he just I felt like
- 58:58Speaker 3: he don't what coach has He has the presence of
- 59:00Speaker 3: a head coach. I'm here to make a joke and
- 59:02Speaker 3: he's like, listen, back up a little bit. He don't
- 59:04Speaker 3: even know what the question is. Yeah, so I'm back
- 59:07Speaker 3: in the.
- 59:07Speaker 1: Stage that we're in. It's like, you know what we've taking.
- 59:11Speaker 12: I don't know, like if the players ever saw me, like,
- 59:14Speaker 12: I don't ever like act like that or talk like that.
- 59:17Speaker 12: So I would hate to do some unnatural on camera
- 59:20Speaker 12: or like our dudes that I trust and believe in
- 59:22Speaker 12: and we're.
- 59:23Speaker 1: Like super tight than to see me act in a way.
- 59:25Speaker 1: We're like, what is that?
- 59:26Speaker 12: Coach?
- 59:26Speaker 1: You know what I mean?
- 59:28Speaker 5: This could be more of a spring a Spring type hypothetical.
- 59:31Speaker 1: Go ahead, you know on Miami, visit on the Miami.
- 59:35Speaker 3: Okay, yeah, absolutely absolutely.
- 59:37Speaker 5: Where everybody's been undefeated.
- 59:39Speaker 3: Everybody. Yeah, Spring is the best time of year because
- 59:41Speaker 3: everyone's everyone's got everything in the back.
- 59:44Speaker 4: Coach, Crystal bar are you a are you a spook
- 59:46Speaker 4: Tober guy? You big October guy?
- 59:48Speaker 5: You like Halloween.
- 59:51Speaker 4: In terms of having like embracing Yeah, just a holiday itself,
- 59:56Speaker 4: like you got a favorite scary movie. This is more
- 59:57Speaker 4: of like, this is more off football, just like getting
- 1:00:00Speaker 4: to know you as a human being, because we I
- 1:00:02Speaker 4: don't know if you see our bus set up, but
- 1:00:04Speaker 4: we embrace Spootober for all thirty one days in October.
- 1:00:07Speaker 4: So this is more of like a like a fun
- 1:00:09Speaker 4: chill right there. Yeah, yeah, yeah yeah, Big Michael Myers fans,
- 1:00:13Speaker 4: Big Michael Myers fans.
- 1:00:14Speaker 1: What is I think it's actually a mold of William
- 1:00:17Speaker 1: Shatner's face, isn't it?
- 1:00:19Speaker 3: Sorry, Trek, That is actually correct. And I love the
- 1:00:21Speaker 3: fact that you know your spooky movies. Where does holiday
- 1:00:25Speaker 3: in a holiday category? Where is Halloween for you in
- 1:00:28Speaker 3: a tier system?
- 1:00:32Speaker 12: You know, when my kids were growing up, it was
- 1:00:35Speaker 12: it was good to get him out about. But I
- 1:00:36Speaker 12: mean it's you know, as a coach man and as players,
- 1:00:38Speaker 12: you guys know, you're just it's groundhog Day, right, so
- 1:00:42Speaker 12: you just keep going. There's you know, hopefully and when
- 1:00:45Speaker 12: all the big holidays are rolling around, you're playing significant
- 1:00:48Speaker 12: football and your favorite holidays is one where you're staying
- 1:00:50Speaker 12: in a hotel to play for a championship game.
- 1:00:52Speaker 4: That's I can't wait for Coach Crystal Ball when he's
- 1:00:56Speaker 4: retired and one day and he's done and he's experiencing
- 1:00:58Speaker 4: these holidays for the first time, Like, man, I really
- 1:01:01Speaker 4: missed some some awesome little holiday moments. Hopefully it's with
- 1:01:04Speaker 4: some national titles. He's not thinking about multiple but he's
- 1:01:06Speaker 4: gonna be sitting there like, oh, it's kind of nice
- 1:01:08Speaker 4: to not have a whole lot of stress and press.
- 1:01:10Speaker 5: Are going on coach.
- 1:01:11Speaker 3: Before we get you out of here, we are sponsored
- 1:01:13Speaker 3: by bud Light, and we have a bud Light question
- 1:01:15Speaker 3: for you. Everybody knows that anyone would do anything for
- 1:01:17Speaker 3: a bud Light, but for you, Coach Chris Ball, what
- 1:01:20Speaker 3: is something you would do anything for? Now? Can't say family,
- 1:01:24Speaker 3: can't say family.
- 1:01:26Speaker 1: What I would do anything for in terms of like legal, illegal, anything,
- 1:01:29Speaker 1: no limits, no bounds.
- 1:01:31Speaker 4: No bounds, maybe a massive ambition of yours, but just
- 1:01:35Speaker 4: something that you just you know, it always comes to
- 1:01:37Speaker 4: mind every now and then, maybe at least once or
- 1:01:39Speaker 4: twice a month.
- 1:01:41Speaker 12: Oh man, you'd have to give me for a warning
- 1:01:43Speaker 12: on that. I mean, my mind kind of goes, you know,
- 1:01:46Speaker 12: so pretty complicated, open ended question. Man. I'll have to
- 1:01:50Speaker 12: think about it and certainly get back to you. I mean,
- 1:01:52Speaker 12: the first thing that comes to mind that just jumps
- 1:01:54Speaker 12: out as always winning.
- 1:01:56Speaker 3: Yeah, that's the only answer too. That's the only answer
- 1:01:59Speaker 3: winning a national championship.
- 1:02:01Speaker 4: Would you ever down the line be like if when
- 1:02:04Speaker 4: you take national titles at the collegiate level, going to
- 1:02:08Speaker 4: uh putting your head in the ring for the NFL.
- 1:02:11Speaker 12: Uh No, No, that's noth I have. I've always had
- 1:02:16Speaker 12: one destination in mine. That's the University of Miami. Always
- 1:02:20Speaker 12: some people like to, you know, throw around things and
- 1:02:24Speaker 12: you know this job, that job, this. I remember being
- 1:02:27Speaker 12: a GA, and but Davis asked me, He's like, why
- 1:02:30Speaker 12: that high pitched voice. You know, Coach Davis could get
- 1:02:33Speaker 12: after it. He said, why why do you want to
- 1:02:35Speaker 12: be a GA? Because back then at GA, what'd you do?
- 1:02:37Speaker 1: Right?
- 1:02:37Speaker 12: You made sure dry cleaning was set for the coaches.
- 1:02:40Speaker 12: You had to help with all the BS assignments, and
- 1:02:43Speaker 12: then you got to coach some But I just looked
- 1:02:45Speaker 12: at him, I said, I want to sit in your
- 1:02:46Speaker 12: seat one day. And that was twenty eighth, Yeah, twenty
- 1:02:50Speaker 12: eight years ago. So this has always been it, man,
- 1:02:52Speaker 12: It's always been Miami. I'm a you cut me open
- 1:02:55Speaker 12: the orange and Green man all the way through.
- 1:02:57Speaker 4: I love that there is h I'm curious too, Like,
- 1:03:00Speaker 4: just ask somebody who's aspired to be a coach, especially
- 1:03:04Speaker 4: like when I committed to a school, like I always
- 1:03:05Speaker 4: had like coaching in mind, getting to play in the NFL,
- 1:03:09Speaker 4: kind of seeing the hours between or like what goes
- 1:03:11Speaker 4: into collegiate football NFL football? Like what was it for
- 1:03:14Speaker 4: you on determining like college football. Obviously you're in the
- 1:03:19Speaker 4: place you want to be, but as a coach kind
- 1:03:21Speaker 4: of figuring it out along the way, what were some
- 1:03:24Speaker 4: deciding factors for you being like I don't want to
- 1:03:26Speaker 4: go anything beyond college football, like this is the spot,
- 1:03:28Speaker 4: this is the place, this is the league I want
- 1:03:30Speaker 4: to be in.
- 1:03:31Speaker 1: Now that's a fair question.
- 1:03:32Speaker 12: I mean, my high school coach is the best leader
- 1:03:35Speaker 12: of best mentor best human being I've ever known in
- 1:03:37Speaker 12: my life.
- 1:03:37Speaker 1: I so call them for every major decision.
- 1:03:39Speaker 12: And I was actually in the process of being a
- 1:03:42Speaker 12: secret service agent when I took the GA job and
- 1:03:46Speaker 12: then was hired while I was finishing up year two and.
- 1:03:50Speaker 1: Had that big decision to make.
- 1:03:52Speaker 12: And I had completely fallen full bore into coaching and
- 1:03:57Speaker 12: loved it as a GA because back then there weren't
- 1:03:59Speaker 12: any analyst was on G on each side of the ball, right, yeah,
- 1:04:01Speaker 12: and you had to you had to sleep in the
- 1:04:03Speaker 12: office and do everything. And I love making about four
- 1:04:06Speaker 12: bucks an hour, and I I just absolutely loved every
- 1:04:10Speaker 12: bit of a the development, the connections, the relationships, the
- 1:04:13Speaker 12: competing they getting after it.
- 1:04:15Speaker 1: It was the free metrics. That's what you ate is
- 1:04:17Speaker 1: a GA metrics products?
- 1:04:19Speaker 12: Right. He used to get those for free when they expired.
- 1:04:21Speaker 12: That's what they used to give you for food. So
- 1:04:24Speaker 12: and then just that was a crossroads and it was
- 1:04:26Speaker 12: the choice was was tough, but it was clear it
- 1:04:28Speaker 12: was football.
- 1:04:29Speaker 5: Well, the Seeker service, I can put that together now.
- 1:04:34Speaker 4: You would he would be amazing bucks an hour or
- 1:04:36Speaker 4: two to where you are at, Like, that's dude, that's awesome.
- 1:04:39Speaker 3: That really is cool hearing hearing hearing the stories about
- 1:04:41Speaker 3: being a ga having sleepless nights. I mean, Dan Lanning
- 1:04:44Speaker 3: has told the stories about that too, where you truly
- 1:04:47Speaker 3: have to love what you're doing to be to be
- 1:04:49Speaker 3: in that position consistently, Dan, and day out, weekend, year out,
- 1:04:51Speaker 3: all that stuff. So we appreciate you. I I can't
- 1:04:54Speaker 3: imagine the feeling of being a head coach if you're
- 1:04:56Speaker 3: Alma mater. That is absolutely incredible. And let's give a
- 1:05:00Speaker 3: right applause for coach Crystal Ball. Thank you so much, sir.
- 1:05:04Speaker 3: We are looking forward to seeing you in the springtime.

- 1:05:13Speaker 5: massive shout out to him.

- 1:07:40Speaker 7: I think the hair is coming in nicely, Willy, I
- 1:07:42Speaker 7: kind of like it. I'm not gonna lie, thank you.
- 1:07:44Speaker 5: My friend, show thank you. I'll go ahead and show
- 1:07:46Speaker 5: it off a little bit. The buzzer.
- 1:07:48Speaker 7: It grows fast. You could have way worse a growth patterns.
- 1:07:52Speaker 5: I kind of I know the haters are sick that
- 1:07:55Speaker 5: the hair is coming back in right now.
- 1:07:57Speaker 3: Yeah, I did not think it would come back that fast.
- 1:07:59Speaker 3: I'm very impressive. Will's cheap pettibilities.
- 1:08:01Speaker 7: No, I still don't impressed. How's it going so far?
- 1:08:04Speaker 7: But the I getim thing, I mean, it's it seems awesome.
- 1:08:06Speaker 3: Every week, Bro, it's been so much fun. I think
- 1:08:09Speaker 3: every week it's more and more fun because there's more
- 1:08:11Speaker 3: of like a level of comfort understanding what everybody kind
- 1:08:13Speaker 3: of wants from you.
- 1:08:14Speaker 5: And you get to talk ball. Once you get into
- 1:08:16Speaker 5: the season, you're not like doing the whole prediction right right.
- 1:08:19Speaker 3: If I had one like about it, it's every single
- 1:08:22Speaker 3: week's like an overreaction as opposed to like as a
- 1:08:25Speaker 3: normal human being would like give grace to a team
- 1:08:27Speaker 3: if they lose here or whatever. But every week seems
- 1:08:29Speaker 3: like it's got it's a be all end all, and
- 1:08:32Speaker 3: that to me is like a little harder to do naturally.
- 1:08:34Speaker 7: Yeah, yeah, that's like the morning show ESPN Formula Right,
- 1:08:38Speaker 7: it's like everything is I don't know this morning, I
- 1:08:40Speaker 7: don't even know what the conversation would be, but you
- 1:08:41Speaker 7: know it's Drake May the best quarterback in the AFC
- 1:08:44Speaker 7: East or something. Yeah, yeah, yeah, get it. Take It's like,
- 1:08:46Speaker 7: all right, pump pump the breaks a little bit here.
- 1:08:48Speaker 7: But it seems like you guys have the right mix too,
- 1:08:50Speaker 7: like the exact right people to be doing it with.
- 1:08:52Speaker 7: Like Schefter is an entirely different version of himself around
- 1:08:56Speaker 7: you guys.
- 1:08:56Speaker 3: That awesome man. I've obviously been around him a bunch
- 1:09:01Speaker 3: and being a Michigan guy and his like, I love
- 1:09:04Speaker 3: how he just he's got this. He's just like an
- 1:09:06Speaker 3: ultimate professional. But yeah, he's like willing to be one
- 1:09:10Speaker 3: of those boys beause a lot of time you get
- 1:09:11Speaker 3: around these like really like strong professional individuals and they
- 1:09:14Speaker 3: always keep a professionalism about him, having him feel like
- 1:09:17Speaker 3: they're loosen up, getting the tie last or a time
- 1:09:20Speaker 3: may even actually last it's one of one man, it
- 1:09:24Speaker 3: really is. I mean, we are recording right now, right, Mitchie,
- 1:09:28Speaker 3: we're recording right now. Dude, tell me how fantasy football
- 1:09:33Speaker 3: it became your thing? Like, how did that process even
- 1:09:36Speaker 3: go down?
- 1:09:37Speaker 1: Yeah?
- 1:09:38Speaker 7: Kind of by accident. So I was working at ESPN.
- 1:09:40Speaker 7: I started the ESPN like around twenty thirteen, twenty twelve
- 1:09:43Speaker 7: of football season. I was doing some stuff, but not
- 1:09:46Speaker 7: full time. In twenty thirteen, twenty fourteen, somewhere in that range,
- 1:09:51Speaker 7: a guy named Seth Markman, who is still at ESPN
- 1:09:54Speaker 7: now kind of oversees all of NFL TV, came up
- 1:09:58Speaker 7: to me and said, Hey, I know you consider you
- 1:09:59Speaker 7: have a foot having sort of worked in the NFL
- 1:10:02Speaker 7: world of scouting for a little bit, just a brief
- 1:10:05Speaker 7: cup of coffee, but still, uh, you probably think of
- 1:10:07Speaker 7: yourself more as an analyst than you do a fantasy guy.
- 1:10:10Speaker 7: But I think you'd be surprised by how much those
- 1:10:14Speaker 7: two sides intertwined and how a lot of what you
- 1:10:17Speaker 7: would analyze for real football would apply to fantasy football.
- 1:10:20Speaker 7: And he sort of described that it as kind of
- 1:10:22Speaker 7: like a rocket ship that was going to continue to
- 1:10:25Speaker 7: grow and grow and grow, and so what twenty twenty five,
- 1:10:28Speaker 7: and as you guys know, fantasy football just gets bigger
- 1:10:30Speaker 7: and bigger by the year. I tell people all the time,
- 1:10:32Speaker 7: it's sort of like the NCAA basketball tournament in the
- 1:10:35Speaker 7: sense that you don't really need to change anything in
- 1:10:37Speaker 7: fantasy football. It's still going to be extremely popular year
- 1:10:41Speaker 7: over year because to enjoy eighteen Sundays with tons of drama.
- 1:10:46Speaker 7: And it's been an awesome home for me so far.
- 1:10:49Speaker 4: So let's let's talk about how's your how's your uh,
- 1:10:52Speaker 4: how have your stats been in fantasy football? Like are
- 1:10:55Speaker 4: you are you winning this thing year in and year
- 1:10:57Speaker 4: out in the leagues that you're in, Like I would
- 1:10:59Speaker 4: just assume that you're the guy, right, You're the guy
- 1:11:01Speaker 4: everybody's trying to knock down.
- 1:11:02Speaker 7: You know, the greatest, Like the best baseball player had
- 1:11:04Speaker 7: an average and I think like three twenty this year
- 1:11:07Speaker 7: and all of l MLB and like people are like
- 1:11:09Speaker 7: crowning him as one of the best hitters in the league. Accordingly,
- 1:11:12Speaker 7: I think, like, you know, somewhere in like the ten
- 1:11:15Speaker 7: to twenty percent winning percentage is a good mark for
- 1:11:18Speaker 7: me year over year if you just do the math right,
- 1:11:20Speaker 7: Like I play in leagues. There are sixteen teams where
- 1:11:23Speaker 7: I don't know, that's like one in that's like a
- 1:11:25Speaker 7: six percent chance. I think if if the numbers are
- 1:11:28Speaker 7: somewhat even so, I would say that where I'm probably
- 1:11:32Speaker 7: different than the average player is I don't win every
- 1:11:34Speaker 7: league that I'm in. I wish I could say that
- 1:11:36Speaker 7: was the case. I don't have too many duds throughout
- 1:11:39Speaker 7: the years, like too many last place finishers. But you know,
- 1:11:43Speaker 7: every ever, once in a while, like you just draw
- 1:11:45Speaker 7: the wrong hand. And I've had some teams. I already
- 1:11:48Speaker 7: have some teams this year that I have some draft
- 1:11:50Speaker 7: regret over. But that's part of the fun of it too,
- 1:11:53Speaker 7: is finding a way to dig yourself out of the hole.
- 1:11:54Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, I do need some help with my fantasy
- 1:11:57Speaker 3: team right now. Right now I am three. I'm three
- 1:11:59Speaker 3: in two two, probably gonna go four and two. But
- 1:12:03Speaker 3: I'm looking at my running back position, and I have
- 1:12:06Speaker 3: Derek Henry, friend of the show, friend of mine, personally,
- 1:12:09Speaker 3: teammate of mine. The last couple of weeks, the Ravens
- 1:12:12Speaker 3: haven't been utilizing him in the way that is the
- 1:12:14Speaker 3: most conducive way for him to be successful. Not only
- 1:12:16Speaker 3: on the football field, But on my fantasy league team,
- 1:12:18Speaker 3: what do I need to do with Derek Henry at
- 1:12:20Speaker 3: this point?
- 1:12:21Speaker 7: I think we've got to be patient for two more
- 1:12:22Speaker 7: weeks now, Like people see if Lamar plays, and then
- 1:12:25Speaker 7: they've had the bye week after that, which makes you
- 1:12:27Speaker 7: think that Lamar maybe won't play next week, because if
- 1:12:29Speaker 7: they can buy the extra week, they would help us
- 1:12:32Speaker 7: up and give Lamar basically a month, and then they'd
- 1:12:35Speaker 7: have to go on like an absolute tear for the
- 1:12:36Speaker 7: last Let's see you next week would be the sixth
- 1:12:39Speaker 7: game of the season. Eleven games after that. Yeah, now
- 1:12:41Speaker 7: the Raven might be saying, hey, listen, man, we're one
- 1:12:43Speaker 7: and four already. If we don't have Lamar against the Rams,
- 1:12:46Speaker 7: we're probably staring at one in five in the face.
- 1:12:48Speaker 7: And I don't know how many teams have gone one
- 1:12:51Speaker 7: in five and then went on to make the playoffs,
- 1:12:53Speaker 7: so not many throughout the course of NFL history. Henry
- 1:12:56Speaker 7: is one of those guys who, as you know from
- 1:12:58Speaker 7: blocking Form and Play, he went out on my end
- 1:13:04Speaker 7: Sam Crack one hundred yards and a touchdown every single week.
- 1:13:08Speaker 7: But when they're playing from behind like they were yesterday,
- 1:13:10Speaker 7: all of a sudden he became like kind of the
- 1:13:12Speaker 7: Justice Hill Show, uh in the second half for Baltimore.
- 1:13:16Speaker 7: So the Ravens got to find a way to get
- 1:13:18Speaker 7: Lamar back on the field, because once they have Lamar,
- 1:13:21Speaker 7: the offense can keep them in games even if the
- 1:13:23Speaker 7: defense is not great. And because of all the injuries,
- 1:13:26Speaker 7: I don't think they're going to be a great defense.
- 1:13:27Speaker 7: But it's been frustrated in the past three weeks. For
- 1:13:30Speaker 7: that past four weeks now for those that have Derek
- 1:13:33Speaker 7: Henry on their roster, But this guy's way too good
- 1:13:35Speaker 7: to get hope on. He definitely is gonna have, you know, three, four,
- 1:13:38Speaker 7: five more games this season where he ends up being
- 1:13:41Speaker 7: the player that wins you his week.
- 1:13:43Speaker 4: When you are an oh for team field, like myself,
- 1:13:46Speaker 4: I believe I haven't won a game yet.
- 1:13:47Speaker 7: In I don't believe that. I don't believe that.
- 1:13:50Speaker 4: It's it is true. When you start off, oh, how
- 1:13:56Speaker 4: many weeks have we done?
- 1:13:56Speaker 5: Oh and four? What week are we on right now?
- 1:13:58Speaker 3: Yeah?
- 1:14:00Speaker 4: When you start off oh and four, what is the
- 1:14:03Speaker 4: front office for your team need to start looking like?
- 1:14:06Speaker 4: Is it a let's let's move our best players and
- 1:14:10Speaker 4: try to get some try to get some starting capital
- 1:14:13Speaker 4: across the board.
- 1:14:14Speaker 12: Is it.
- 1:14:15Speaker 4: Let's live in free agency, depending on how big your
- 1:14:17Speaker 4: league is. What are you doing when you're starting off
- 1:14:20Speaker 4: oh and four? Because right now Matt and Will's fantasy thrill,
- 1:14:23Speaker 4: we're oh and four. Uh, just made a big trade
- 1:14:25Speaker 4: last week. But where where does your head go when
- 1:14:28Speaker 4: you start off oh and four?
- 1:14:29Speaker 5: Yeah?
- 1:14:30Speaker 7: I think there's this thing that we do in fantasy
- 1:14:31Speaker 7: football where we try to make perfect trades. So here's
- 1:14:35Speaker 7: a good example. Like I've seen a lot of teams
- 1:14:36Speaker 7: coming out of the gates that are struggled with like
- 1:14:40Speaker 7: Jamar Chase, right because Joe Burrow gets hurt.
- 1:14:43Speaker 3: Next thing.
- 1:14:43Speaker 7: You know, Jamar for two straight weeks was nearly the
- 1:14:47Speaker 7: player that you drafted to be maybe number one overall. Yeah,
- 1:14:50Speaker 7: you're saying to yourself, all right, if I can trade
- 1:14:52Speaker 7: Jamar Chase, that's great, but I have to get you know,
- 1:14:54Speaker 7: massive value, perfect value on return, because he was the
- 1:14:57Speaker 7: number one pick of my draft. Probably the men the
- 1:15:00Speaker 7: draft is over how and where the players are drafted
- 1:15:02Speaker 7: kind of goes out to the board, goes off the board,
- 1:15:04Speaker 7: I should say, And so sometimes I'm willing to and
- 1:15:08Speaker 7: I think others would disagree. Philosophically. But if I can
- 1:15:11Speaker 7: find a trade that maybe guests to be like eighty
- 1:15:13Speaker 7: five cents in the dollar, because I get two starters,
- 1:15:16Speaker 7: neither of which is as good as Jamar Chase. But
- 1:15:18Speaker 7: if you have Jamar and you're struggling, it probably means
- 1:15:20Speaker 7: you don't have great depth beyond that. Then I'm okay
- 1:15:22Speaker 7: with doing that. And I got to think that, like
- 1:15:24Speaker 7: players only meetings have already taken place on this squad.
- 1:15:27Speaker 7: If those haven't worked so far, then I'm willing to
- 1:15:29Speaker 7: shake things up with some roster management through trades. I
- 1:15:31Speaker 7: also find that it'd be one of the best parts
- 1:15:33Speaker 7: of fantasy football, right, I mean, that's fun, the closest
- 1:15:35Speaker 7: I'll ever be becoming anfl GM. So if I can
- 1:15:39Speaker 7: find something that works reasonably well for me and works
- 1:15:41Speaker 7: really well or reasonably well for somebody else, I'm talking shop.
- 1:15:45Speaker 4: What do you think about this trait that we made
- 1:15:47Speaker 4: again Matt and Will's fantasy thrill. This is double GM
- 1:15:50Speaker 4: league that we're doing at the shop with Busting with
- 1:15:52Speaker 4: the Boys. We shipped off Josh Jacobs and JSN clearly.
- 1:15:58Speaker 5: Two of our best players.
- 1:16:00Speaker 4: In return, we went and got DeVante Adams Zay Flowers
- 1:16:04Speaker 4: in a Chan Chan Auchan Auchan e Chan, Yeah, a
- 1:16:08Speaker 4: Chane e Chan. You know, what's your feedback on a
- 1:16:11Speaker 4: trade like that.
- 1:16:12Speaker 7: That's a good example of where like you turned two
- 1:16:14Speaker 7: pillar pieces into three, right, I mean, h Chan's right
- 1:16:18Speaker 7: there with Josh Jacobs e chan who had just sixteen
- 1:16:21Speaker 7: rushing yards on Sunday but had a ridiculous receiving touchdown.
- 1:16:24Speaker 7: He's gonna be, I don't know, top five, top six
- 1:16:27Speaker 7: running back at worst, at least in the rankings going
- 1:16:30Speaker 7: into the week. And Josh Jacobs is in that same territory,
- 1:16:32Speaker 7: maybe a little bit lower than a Chan because he
- 1:16:34Speaker 7: doesn't catch as many passes, but the Packers obviously run
- 1:16:37Speaker 7: the football a whole lot better than Miami does. And
- 1:16:40Speaker 7: then you turn so I look at it as almost
- 1:16:42Speaker 7: like those two are equal parts, and you basically turn
- 1:16:45Speaker 7: JSN into Davonte Adams and Zay Flowers who came out
- 1:16:49Speaker 7: of the gates red hot. That's a good example though,
- 1:16:51Speaker 7: of like you know, being willing to not Yeah, I
- 1:16:54Speaker 7: don't know if it's perfect value. Nobody can tell until
- 1:16:56Speaker 7: this season's actually over, but you turned two pieces into three.
- 1:16:59Speaker 7: First team Uh, that's a good way to go about it.
- 1:17:03Speaker 7: By the way, double gmly that's tough right there. That's tough.
- 1:17:06Speaker 3: Tough.
- 1:17:07Speaker 7: You have to make a decision to pinch, like who
- 1:17:09Speaker 7: gets the ultimate vote?
- 1:17:10Speaker 3: Well, I think on this team that Will is referring to,
- 1:17:13Speaker 3: it's very clear who the owner of the fifty one
- 1:17:16Speaker 3: percent is in that gro our.
- 1:17:17Speaker 4: Roles are defined and established. What you've got to have
- 1:17:19Speaker 4: and to have an organization.
- 1:17:21Speaker 3: You've got to have it. I have a hypothetical for you,
- 1:17:24Speaker 3: field Yates. If you were in a league where you're
- 1:17:27Speaker 3: zero and four and you decide to make a big
- 1:17:29Speaker 3: trade where you get rid of a JSN and uh
- 1:17:32Speaker 3: Josh Jacobs, but you make the trade on Thursday night
- 1:17:35Speaker 3: as the Thursday night football game is starting, should you
- 1:17:38Speaker 3: be able to use those players that you traded for
- 1:17:41Speaker 3: in the same week. I get hypothetical, This is all hypothetical,
- 1:17:46Speaker 3: but have you ever heard of a player getting traded
- 1:17:48Speaker 3: the day on a Thursday and playing a full game
- 1:17:53Speaker 3: and being successful? Oh? Man, we're talking about character integrity though.
- 1:17:59Speaker 7: From that that standpoint, yeah, I can't think of too
- 1:18:02Speaker 7: many instances where that's happened recently. I can't think of
- 1:18:06Speaker 7: that totally hypothetically, of course, I can't think of that
- 1:18:10Speaker 7: that man. I almost feel like, you know what, if
- 1:18:14Speaker 7: we're willing to uh to execute a trade and the
- 1:18:17Speaker 7: players available when the game starts, you get the points,
- 1:18:22Speaker 7: I'll live with it.
- 1:18:23Speaker 3: Wow, that went the exact opposite I was hoping it
- 1:18:26Speaker 3: would go. We made a Trainethetically, the hypothetically the exact trade.
- 1:18:32Speaker 4: Takes twenty four hours to take place, right before you
- 1:18:34Speaker 4: actually get him on the roster. But the commission but
- 1:18:36Speaker 4: the commissioner is telling you he'll put the points on
- 1:18:39Speaker 4: the board because we're hypothetically this is happening in front
- 1:18:43Speaker 4: of the majority of the league.
- 1:18:44Speaker 7: OK So it's kind of like one of those leagues
- 1:18:46Speaker 7: where you need twenty four hours for it to actually yeah.
- 1:18:49Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 1:18:49Speaker 4: So you're sitting there and you're asking the commissioner, like,
- 1:18:51Speaker 4: do so do I leave these three spots open, like
- 1:18:54Speaker 4: you're putting the points back on the board. Do we
- 1:18:56Speaker 4: need to go ahead and roll with the guys we
- 1:18:58Speaker 4: got because we're looking had our first win of the season,
- 1:19:01Speaker 4: and hypothetically, if that trade can't go through, it's like,
- 1:19:04Speaker 4: all right, well then we can throw. We should be
- 1:19:06Speaker 4: allowed to throw. JSN and Tony Pollard back on the
- 1:19:09Speaker 4: roster and get their points.
- 1:19:10Speaker 11: Yeah, but also hypothetically, the GM or the commissioner is
- 1:19:14Speaker 11: the guy who made the trade, right.
- 1:19:17Speaker 3: Okay, so yeah, so there's a too Yeah, sounds like
- 1:19:22Speaker 3: there's a lot of up to no good going on.
- 1:19:26Speaker 5: Well it did?
- 1:19:27Speaker 4: It did happen in front of the league? That would
- 1:19:30Speaker 4: be the argument Coop was trying to say.
- 1:19:31Speaker 3: This is there's a conversation taking place in front of people.
- 1:19:35Speaker 3: But it's like guys are doing other things. They just
- 1:19:37Speaker 3: happen to be in the same room while whispers in
- 1:19:39Speaker 3: the corner are going on with the GM of the
- 1:19:41Speaker 3: league or the commission of the league, with these two
- 1:19:43Speaker 3: teams hypothetically, hypothetically right, It wasn't like a vocal Hey
- 1:19:48Speaker 3: we're having this conversation right now. It was a conversation
- 1:19:50Speaker 3: taking place in a room.
- 1:19:53Speaker 7: I think maybe the commissioner needs to be a little
- 1:19:55Speaker 7: more cut throught after further review here.
- 1:19:57Speaker 3: Okay, now it's going back to the way I want
- 1:19:59Speaker 3: all right, hypothetically.
- 1:20:00Speaker 7: Pathetic further review here, just just you know, making sure
- 1:20:03Speaker 7: I played both sides of the coin.
- 1:20:04Speaker 3: Yeah, but you would say, but just so we know
- 1:20:07Speaker 3: what you do. The line in the sand. You would
- 1:20:09Speaker 3: say this is not a good move.
- 1:20:11Speaker 7: I'm thinking not a good move after again, after careful consideration,
- 1:20:14Speaker 7: not a good move here.
- 1:20:15Speaker 5: And listen, as a GM in the league, I just
- 1:20:17Speaker 5: need to be told what to do.
- 1:20:18Speaker 4: Is it the forty points with JSN and Tony Pollard
- 1:20:20Speaker 4: or is it the forty points with Za Flowers, Davante
- 1:20:23Speaker 4: Adams and a chant Like I'm just like, I'm just
- 1:20:26Speaker 4: listening for direction. I'm not trying to get nobody right.
- 1:20:29Speaker 4: I'm just trying to hate where one of these lineups
- 1:20:32Speaker 4: need to play.
- 1:20:32Speaker 3: Well, it's all hypothetical, and I think if they're not
- 1:20:34Speaker 3: in your lineup and you go through a trade, you
- 1:20:36Speaker 3: just you essentially bend the knee for that week.
- 1:20:39Speaker 4: Hypothetically, the two co hosts you're talking to are also
- 1:20:42Speaker 4: playing each other in this said game of the week.
- 1:20:44Speaker 7: Oh okay, got even more layers to this.
- 1:20:46Speaker 4: This is just so again, however the commissioner wants to
- 1:20:49Speaker 4: hand However the commission wants to handle it, like, listen,
- 1:20:51Speaker 4: we're not We're not.
- 1:20:52Speaker 5: This hasn't gotcha ball.
- 1:20:53Speaker 3: Sounds that the commissioner is the one, hypothetically that's in
- 1:20:56Speaker 3: this kind of like a conflict of interest category. Yeah, hypothetically, Yeah,
- 1:21:00Speaker 3: definitely philia typothetically. Yeah, do you ever see yourself going
- 1:21:04Speaker 3: back to the NFL in a way of I don't know,
- 1:21:07Speaker 3: maybe an actual GM, maybe an actual upper scout. See you,
- 1:21:11Speaker 3: you know, ball man, you understand it all and you've
- 1:21:13Speaker 3: been in that world for a little bit. Could you
- 1:21:14Speaker 3: see yourself doing that?
- 1:21:16Speaker 7: I don't think. I think that ship probably sailed. I'm
- 1:21:18Speaker 7: not sure any the NFL team would express much interest
- 1:21:20Speaker 7: in me. As you guys know, though, like this side
- 1:21:23Speaker 7: of the this side is a pretty cool place to
- 1:21:25Speaker 7: be too, right, you guys obviously had highly successful NFL
- 1:21:30Speaker 7: careers and live that life of playing for I'll give
- 1:21:34Speaker 7: you ten Willie h and and and Taylor long career
- 1:21:37Speaker 7: as well. Like, uh, you know the toll that it
- 1:21:40Speaker 7: takes on you, not just in terms of like the
- 1:21:42Speaker 7: physical rigors of it, but also you know, just the
- 1:21:45Speaker 7: family and the balance and the things that matter. I know,
- 1:21:47Speaker 7: both you guys obviously very passionate dads as well. I
- 1:21:49Speaker 7: think that's one of those things that like in the
- 1:21:51Speaker 7: scouting world, there's not a lot of balance in the
- 1:21:54Speaker 7: world of football scouting, right, you're kind of addicted to
- 1:21:57Speaker 7: the game, which is a great and I admire that
- 1:21:59Speaker 7: trait in the guys that do it at a high level.
- 1:22:02Speaker 7: But I like the fact that while I haven't won
- 1:22:04Speaker 7: a game in the NFL for over a dozen years,
- 1:22:07Speaker 7: I also haven't lost a game and over a dozen years,
- 1:22:10Speaker 7: So I remember sort of that feeling where you prepare
- 1:22:12Speaker 7: you guys know that, like even the worst NFL teams
- 1:22:14Speaker 7: are preparing like crazy Monday through Saturday to get ready
- 1:22:17Speaker 7: for Sunday. But I love what we do here. I
- 1:22:19Speaker 7: love just talking football and having the opportunity to watch it.
- 1:22:22Speaker 7: And I think that I'm happy being at ESPN for
- 1:22:25Speaker 7: hopefully a long time.
- 1:22:26Speaker 4: How long did that transition for you happen mentally? Like,
- 1:22:31Speaker 4: you know, as you're transitioning back in twenty eleven, if
- 1:22:33Speaker 4: you can remember that time, it's like were you kind
- 1:22:36Speaker 4: of transitioning at first and kind of back man, I
- 1:22:38Speaker 4: just you know, kind of buying, buying time until your
- 1:22:41Speaker 4: next potential opportunity in the NFL to get in the
- 1:22:43Speaker 4: front off a spot or as you start tasting it,
- 1:22:46Speaker 4: it kind of that thought process kind of fades away
- 1:22:49Speaker 4: as you're getting to spend time at home.
- 1:22:50Speaker 7: Yeah, for me, like and not to get like, you know,
- 1:22:53Speaker 7: too serious during a relatively light conversation here. But you know,
- 1:22:55Speaker 7: I was a few years out of college and all
- 1:22:58Speaker 7: I'd ever known since I was sixteen years years old
- 1:23:00Speaker 7: was being around NFL teams. I was very fortunate to
- 1:23:02Speaker 7: be around you know, some quality organizations and great people
- 1:23:05Speaker 7: and you know guys that I think, you know, taught
- 1:23:08Speaker 7: me a lot about life, not just football, that I
- 1:23:11Speaker 7: consider like influential my life to this day. But I remember,
- 1:23:15Speaker 7: like five year high school reunion came and went. It
- 1:23:18Speaker 7: wasn't even a consideration to attend that because there was
- 1:23:20Speaker 7: just no chance to do it. First went and I
- 1:23:23Speaker 7: got invited to missed it couldn't make it to that one.
- 1:23:26Speaker 7: You know, a lot of my buddies were living in
- 1:23:28Speaker 7: some of the major cities around you know, the US,
- 1:23:30Speaker 7: and they do their boys weekends. Couldn't make any of those.
- 1:23:32Speaker 7: So it just felt like to me a life decision.
- 1:23:34Speaker 7: I knew at that point too. You know, I'm twenty three,
- 1:23:36Speaker 7: twenty four years old, Like I don't have kids, mortgage,
- 1:23:39Speaker 7: more consequential things to have to worry about and have
- 1:23:41Speaker 7: to make decisions on. So when I left football, I
- 1:23:44Speaker 7: was stort of thinking to myself, I might go into
- 1:23:46Speaker 7: a non sports world. I got my real estate license.
- 1:23:48Speaker 7: I quickly hated that, so I realized I had to
- 1:23:50Speaker 7: find my way back into sports in some way, shape
- 1:23:53Speaker 7: or form. I always tell people, though, like when when
- 1:23:56Speaker 7: you're in the world of scouting, you can love football,
- 1:23:58Speaker 7: but you definitely have to live it.
- 1:24:00Speaker 2: Uh.
- 1:24:00Speaker 7: I love football, Now I don't. I mean, I certainly
- 1:24:02Speaker 7: live a lot of football, but you know, I have
- 1:24:05Speaker 7: interest outside of football that I get to explore now
- 1:24:07Speaker 7: on the career path that we have, so it gives
- 1:24:09Speaker 7: us the balance that I just don't know that scouts
- 1:24:11Speaker 7: are afforded. So for me, I wish I could say
- 1:24:13Speaker 7: it was like this epiphany that happened overnight and I said, Hey,
- 1:24:16Speaker 7: I'm gonna leave the world of scouting. I'm gonna go
- 1:24:18Speaker 7: work for ESPN. It wasn't as smooth as that. It
- 1:24:21Speaker 7: took a few years to kind of get from the
- 1:24:23Speaker 7: world of the NFL into the ESPN vortex. But once
- 1:24:27Speaker 7: I found my way here, I kind of felt like,
- 1:24:28Speaker 7: maybe this is what I was supposed to be doing
- 1:24:30Speaker 7: from the jump.
- 1:24:31Speaker 3: You know that that's a great story. One thing I
- 1:24:33Speaker 3: took away from it was sounds like you're your first
- 1:24:36Speaker 3: wedding you were invited to was a fall wedding? Is
- 1:24:38Speaker 3: that my corre?
- 1:24:39Speaker 7: Yes, it was a borderline of legal call by that.
- 1:24:42Speaker 9: That's what I was.
- 1:24:42Speaker 3: That's what I was going to say, is should we
- 1:24:44Speaker 3: completely abolish the fall wedding? Does that need to go away?
- 1:24:48Speaker 7: Totally?
- 1:24:48Speaker 5: One hundred percent.
- 1:24:49Speaker 7: I don't even acknowledge fall weddings now. Yeah, you know,
- 1:24:53Speaker 7: I think I feel like I skipped a couple of this.
- 1:24:54Speaker 7: This you guys would love this, uh, you know. And
- 1:24:57Speaker 7: so when I was first getting started in the world,
- 1:24:59Speaker 7: I was working, I was actually like ball boying for
- 1:25:01Speaker 7: the Patriots way back at the day. I'm from Massachusetts
- 1:25:03Speaker 7: and I was there during some of the glory and
- 1:25:06Speaker 7: some of the best. I mean, it was a long run,
- 1:25:08Speaker 7: but some of those decades there. Yeah, And I'll tell
- 1:25:11Speaker 7: you there may not be of the players that left
- 1:25:14Speaker 7: like the greatest impressions on me during my time working
- 1:25:17Speaker 7: with the Pats, rape is right up there, man. He
- 1:25:19Speaker 7: might be number one. And the thing that I loved
- 1:25:21Speaker 7: about Rapes was I was like a fourteen year old
- 1:25:25Speaker 7: who at the time really thought that I was like
- 1:25:28Speaker 7: going to become something as a football player, not an
- 1:25:30Speaker 7: NFL player, But I thought like I'd have a chance
- 1:25:32Speaker 7: to go on and become like a very successful high
- 1:25:35Speaker 7: school football coach, high school football player, excuse me, and
- 1:25:38Speaker 7: then maybe play at the college level, which I did.
- 1:25:40Speaker 7: I sucked, but you know, D three backup bench warmer
- 1:25:44Speaker 7: only right, But at the time, but at the time,
- 1:25:47Speaker 7: I was thinking big right, I was thinking, you know, Michigan, Nebraska,
- 1:25:50Speaker 7: that kind of stuff. And Rams used to humble the
- 1:25:52Speaker 7: crap out of me every day. Man, that guy. And
- 1:25:55Speaker 7: that's the thing about Rapes is that one of the
- 1:25:57Speaker 7: greatest qualities he has doesn't matter if you're best player
- 1:26:00Speaker 7: on the team, last player on the roster is gonna
- 1:26:03Speaker 7: tell you exactly how it is. And I'll never forget
- 1:26:05Speaker 7: I was. You know, I think there was one time
- 1:26:07Speaker 7: where Belichick had made a comment of Rabel but how
- 1:26:09Speaker 7: you know, Hey, I'm going into whatever year it was,
- 1:26:12Speaker 7: and I'm trying to, you know, maybe get on the
- 1:26:15Speaker 7: recruiting radar for some small Division III colleges. And then
- 1:26:19Speaker 7: later on, like a practice a day or two later,
- 1:26:21Speaker 7: I was maybe running windsprints or something, or running routes
- 1:26:24Speaker 7: on airs as the team was going through walked or whatever.
- 1:26:27Speaker 7: It was doing something to try to help out do
- 1:26:29Speaker 7: something meaningful, and Raves just chirping me from all and out.
- 1:26:31Speaker 7: I don't know where. It just like something the effect of, like, Bill,
- 1:26:35Speaker 7: you told me, this kid's trying to get recruited to
- 1:26:37Speaker 7: play football in college watching the way that I was running.
- 1:26:40Speaker 7: So I Raves let me have it. Then he still
- 1:26:42Speaker 7: lets me have it to this day. And one of
- 1:26:44Speaker 7: the many reasons why I admire that guy.
- 1:26:46Speaker 3: Admire is an interesting way after telling that story.
- 1:26:49Speaker 7: You know what you know, hey, I just I learned
- 1:26:51Speaker 7: a lot of lessons from him. If you can handle,
- 1:26:53Speaker 7: you know, some honesty from Braves, are gonna be all right?
- 1:26:55Speaker 3: Yeah, listen, you're talking to two guys that have been
- 1:26:57Speaker 3: on the exact thing I've known the story. Yes, absolutely.
- 1:27:01Speaker 4: The feeling you have psychologically and mentally it is the
- 1:27:03Speaker 4: same as a seven year NFL VET when he's beating
- 1:27:06Speaker 4: me down verbally, or a fourteen year old boy trying
- 1:27:09Speaker 4: to play some high school boy.
- 1:27:10Speaker 7: I know, tet my spirits up, and Vrame's like just
- 1:27:14Speaker 7: he's he's gonna no matter who it is again, fourteen
- 1:27:17Speaker 7: year veteran or fourteen year old kid, he's gonna be
- 1:27:20Speaker 7: honest with you, Yeah, for sure.
- 1:27:21Speaker 3: Yeah, Yeah. I tend to think if there was like
- 1:27:24Speaker 3: a if like the military, how they have like POWs. Yeah,
- 1:27:28Speaker 3: if they took Rabel and it has had them like
- 1:27:31Speaker 3: look at the POWs and like just be demonstrative towards them,
- 1:27:34Speaker 3: they get a lot more information out of them that
- 1:27:36Speaker 3: they would just beat them down verbally over and over again.
- 1:27:41Speaker 3: Do you think Roger Goodell was behind Will Compton year ten?
- 1:27:46Speaker 7: I have some Yeah, you know, I thought about that
- 1:27:48Speaker 7: a lot. I do have a lot of questions about that.
- 1:27:53Speaker 1: I mean, I.
- 1:27:55Speaker 7: I want to say that year that like you were,
- 1:27:57Speaker 7: like it was the year prior in which like you
- 1:28:00Speaker 7: were undefeated with the Raiders and they went something like
- 1:28:02Speaker 7: oh and six down the stretch and then like two
- 1:28:05Speaker 7: and oh when you were on the roster. I'm just
- 1:28:07Speaker 7: I'm merely pointing out numbers here. That's all the playoffs. Yeah,
- 1:28:11Speaker 7: I've wondered a lot, you know, like, are we talking
- 1:28:13Speaker 7: about a Canton career if he gets one more year?
- 1:28:15Speaker 7: That's what I'm wondering.
- 1:28:16Speaker 3: Yeah, we're talking about Canton career. We're talking about a
- 1:28:19Speaker 3: Atlanta Falcon super Bowl, We're talking about a lot of
- 1:28:21Speaker 3: things that would the script in.
- 1:28:23Speaker 4: The mix hardcore when all that was going down in
- 1:28:26Speaker 4: the field, shout at you. You were a massive like
- 1:28:28Speaker 4: you had fun with a massive supporter of.
- 1:28:30Speaker 5: The year ten.
- 1:28:31Speaker 4: Always give it, always getting the breaking news. I don't
- 1:28:33Speaker 4: know what source you had it from, but uh, the
- 1:28:36Speaker 4: Falcons were.
- 1:28:37Speaker 5: In the mix.
- 1:28:38Speaker 4: They were in the playoffs, Willie time. It wasn't allowed
- 1:28:42Speaker 4: all of a sudden they drop a few. Yeah, very
- 1:28:44Speaker 4: into the season. We maybe still like they're already out
- 1:28:46Speaker 4: of the playoffs.
- 1:28:47Speaker 5: The magic's over? Yeah, weren't the Titans?
- 1:28:50Speaker 7: Like, did you have like a visit with the Titans too?
- 1:28:52Speaker 7: And the whole city in Nashville was buzzing for like
- 1:28:54Speaker 7: twenty four hours? Did I make that part up?
- 1:28:57Speaker 4: City was buzzing when Willie C did have a workout
- 1:28:59Speaker 4: with the Raiders were on the table. That was the
- 1:29:01Speaker 4: year before and year nine.
- 1:29:03Speaker 5: Okay, or is that year eight?
- 1:29:04Speaker 4: I did about twenty twenty, Yeah, twenty twenty Raiders were
- 1:29:10Speaker 4: on the table.
- 1:29:10Speaker 5: Yeah, I was holding out. I'm like, listen, I ain't
- 1:29:13Speaker 5: gotta do that.
- 1:29:14Speaker 10: Yea.
- 1:29:14Speaker 4: There are no signing bonus on the table. I'm just
- 1:29:16Speaker 4: getting vent minimum here. I can kind of just chill
- 1:29:18Speaker 4: because the resume is there. You can drop me off
- 1:29:21Speaker 4: in the helicopter and I'll figure out the playbook overnight.
- 1:29:24Speaker 4: And then I got a visit with the Titans, got
- 1:29:26Speaker 4: to do a little workout. They end up signing me.
- 1:29:27Speaker 4: I think we go what eleven and five that year.
- 1:29:29Speaker 4: First we had the number one seed. Yeah, we lose
- 1:29:32Speaker 4: that game. Then the next year was kind of wait
- 1:29:35Speaker 4: and see. Then it was the Raiders get us into
- 1:29:37Speaker 4: the playoffs.
- 1:29:37Speaker 5: They cut me. Yeah, see what happened?
- 1:29:39Speaker 7: And remember that lost the next game, right, yeah.
- 1:29:42Speaker 3: Lost the next game. Once you get a real weird
- 1:29:44Speaker 3: we'll get the bangles. Things just go down to hell, man.
- 1:29:47Speaker 3: But yeah, that's massive. That's master for you to have
- 1:29:49Speaker 3: Will's back in a situation where a lot of people
- 1:29:51Speaker 3: were just siding on the edge of power of Roger Goodell,
- 1:29:54Speaker 3: so they were afraid to take on the big dog,
- 1:29:56Speaker 3: and you were a man that stood ten toes down.
- 1:29:58Speaker 3: We appreciate you for that.
- 1:30:00Speaker 4: I do have a again bringing it back to fantasy.
- 1:30:02Speaker 4: What are some of the best and worst fantasy punishment
- 1:30:05Speaker 4: ideas that you've heard of or maybe some that are
- 1:30:08Speaker 4: currently happening.
- 1:30:09Speaker 7: Yeah, I mean so, like the most popular one these
- 1:30:11Speaker 7: days definitely. Number one is some variation of either you
- 1:30:14Speaker 7: go to a bar or waffle house and you get
- 1:30:16Speaker 7: twenty four hours to start every it's like shot or
- 1:30:19Speaker 7: beer is thirty minutes off. Maybe a shot and a
- 1:30:23Speaker 7: beer like at the same time as like, you know,
- 1:30:25Speaker 7: ninety minutes off. There's some sort of like you know,
- 1:30:27Speaker 7: almost like a supercharge there if you can take two
- 1:30:31Speaker 7: down at once in one sort of one fell swoop
- 1:30:34Speaker 7: waffle house, it's like every waffle you eat, you take
- 1:30:36Speaker 7: off an hour and you go until you know, some
- 1:30:39Speaker 7: people are there for eight hours because they pound sixteen
- 1:30:41Speaker 7: waffles or something like that. That's always a fun one.
- 1:30:45Speaker 7: The person always comes out worse for it in the end.
- 1:30:47Speaker 7: I'm playing in a league. It's a bunch of buddies
- 1:30:49Speaker 7: who all work at a brewery and the loser every
- 1:30:53Speaker 7: year has to run eight and a half miles from
- 1:30:58Speaker 7: one location to US Pacific Bar. And these guys, you know,
- 1:31:01Speaker 7: they they can all drink. The guys can all really drink.
- 1:31:04Speaker 7: And during the time that that person is running, the
- 1:31:07Speaker 7: rest of the group is at that bar running up
- 1:31:10Speaker 7: a tab on that person's card. And you know, if
- 1:31:13Speaker 7: you find an athletic guy, it might be an hour
- 1:31:15Speaker 7: and a half. You find an unathletic guy, and that
- 1:31:18Speaker 7: might be two two fifteen and two hours and fifteen
- 1:31:21Speaker 7: minutes for eleven guys at a bar, ten of which
- 1:31:24Speaker 7: work at a brewery. Like that number gets pretty significant
- 1:31:27Speaker 7: in a hurry there. That's always one of my favorite
- 1:31:29Speaker 7: ones each year.
- 1:31:30Speaker 3: I'd love that I do our punishment this year and league.
- 1:31:33Speaker 3: I'd like to get your evaluation on it is whoever
- 1:31:36Speaker 3: gets last in the league. Because we are doing a
- 1:31:37Speaker 3: two GM league, as will point it out earlier, they
- 1:31:39Speaker 3: will we have a stream room. They have to spend
- 1:31:41Speaker 3: twenty four hours in that stream room together. What are
- 1:31:44Speaker 3: your thoughts on that?
- 1:31:46Speaker 5: They will be stre hours?
- 1:31:48Speaker 7: Oh that's a long time man. That's gonna be What
- 1:31:51Speaker 7: kind of what kind of like entertainment do they have
- 1:31:53Speaker 7: available for twenty four hours? Basically nothing.
- 1:31:55Speaker 5: We're working on that viewers.
- 1:31:58Speaker 3: Yeah, I think it will be. The viewers will be
- 1:31:59Speaker 3: up to them. I think every hour maybe we take
- 1:32:02Speaker 3: something away like that.
- 1:32:04Speaker 4: Yeah, I do like that right there, Like a mister
- 1:32:05Speaker 4: Peace video that would be good. All of a sudden,
- 1:32:09Speaker 4: off your pants. You don't get that pants?
- 1:32:10Speaker 3: Yeah, no pants anymore for you or no one to
- 1:32:12Speaker 3: wear anymore as well, and and a lot of these hypotheticals,
- 1:32:16Speaker 3: this is not a hypothetical. Will is oh and four
- 1:32:18Speaker 3: and because of your judgment, sounds like he's gonna go
- 1:32:21Speaker 3: oh and five because he's missing three slots this week.
- 1:32:23Speaker 3: That uh, Will Compton and Matt Malone are looking at
- 1:32:26Speaker 3: a tough situation right now in our.
- 1:32:28Speaker 7: Famous season season.
- 1:32:31Speaker 3: I will, you know, say this, last of all the
- 1:32:35Speaker 3: teams that I would prefer to go last place in
- 1:32:38Speaker 3: our league, it's by far Will Compton a Matt Malone.
- 1:32:41Speaker 3: It's it's by far the dynamic of those two for
- 1:32:45Speaker 3: twenty four hours. And it's nothing against either. Will is
- 1:32:47Speaker 3: my best friend, it's nothing against them. It just seeing
- 1:32:50Speaker 3: that for twenty four hours will be must see TV.
- 1:32:52Speaker 7: Well, you know, and I gotta say this, and I'm
- 1:32:54Speaker 7: not again, I'm not trying to come on the show
- 1:32:55Speaker 7: and just make someone feel good good about themselves. But
- 1:32:58Speaker 7: if I know one thing about Will Compton, it's that
- 1:33:00Speaker 7: you make lemonade, you know, Like that's what you do.
- 1:33:04Speaker 7: You get lemons, You make lemonade right like it does
- 1:33:06Speaker 7: twenty four hours. You probably that would probably be an
- 1:33:08Speaker 7: incredibly like there'll be a ton of viewers on that
- 1:33:11Speaker 7: stream right there. You gotta shave your head on National TV.
- 1:33:14Speaker 7: You'll do it. You gotta sit in the streamer for
- 1:33:15Speaker 7: twenty four hours with nothing to do. You'll find a
- 1:33:17Speaker 7: way to make it entertaining for America.
- 1:33:19Speaker 3: I love that. I love your compliment.
- 1:33:22Speaker 7: Now I want you to finish. I want you to
- 1:33:24Speaker 7: go in seventeen this year.
- 1:33:26Speaker 3: Yeah, I love your compliment. Let me come in with
- 1:33:28Speaker 3: a little cut down at the knees. Here's something will comp.
- 1:33:31Speaker 3: It's great at, great at content, great at sitting on
- 1:33:33Speaker 3: it with a microphone and delivery to the people. What
- 1:33:36Speaker 3: will comp that's not great at is spending twenty four
- 1:33:39Speaker 3: whole hours being entertaining. That boy gets sleepy quickly, he
- 1:33:42Speaker 3: gets grumpy quickly. And when Matt Malone on there, that's
- 1:33:45Speaker 3: where the content's gonna come from. And that's what makes
- 1:33:48Speaker 3: it so beautiful.
- 1:33:49Speaker 5: So I guess you're right.
- 1:33:50Speaker 3: Yeah, it's gonna be mussy TV will have it. It'll
- 1:33:54Speaker 3: be at his demise, which Yeah, it's just getting better
- 1:33:57Speaker 3: and better the more I talk about it. Oh man,
- 1:34:00Speaker 3: before we get you out of here, we have a
- 1:34:01Speaker 3: bud light question. We give to everybody bud lights. It's
- 1:34:04Speaker 3: something that people would do anything for. A clean, crisp,
- 1:34:07Speaker 3: cold bud light bill, the Yates. What would you do
- 1:34:10Speaker 3: anything for? Can't say? Family?
- 1:34:14Speaker 7: What would I do anything for?
- 1:34:15Speaker 1: Right?
- 1:34:15Speaker 3: We had we had brock Bauers on here. He said
- 1:34:18Speaker 3: he'd do anything for a nice steak.
- 1:34:20Speaker 5: Na, Yeah, nice steak?
- 1:34:22Speaker 3: Who met eater? Who's me? Eater? Steve Vanilla he said,
- 1:34:26Speaker 3: there's a documentary that he doesn't care if no one
- 1:34:29Speaker 3: cares about it. He wants to make it. He wants
- 1:34:31Speaker 3: to do it at some point in his life is
- 1:34:32Speaker 3: going to make that documentary. So what is something you
- 1:34:35Speaker 3: would do anything for?
- 1:34:36Speaker 9: All?
- 1:34:36Speaker 1: Right?
- 1:34:37Speaker 7: So we started off talking about some of the ESPN
- 1:34:39Speaker 7: camaraderie I play. There's a sixteen team fantasy football league
- 1:34:43Speaker 7: at ESPN. It's called the War Room. Chefter's in it,
- 1:34:47Speaker 7: Rex Ryan's in it, Bruski's in it. A lot of
- 1:34:50Speaker 7: the names that you know from ESPN or and it's
- 1:34:52Speaker 7: a great, great league. I think this is year seven
- 1:34:55Speaker 7: for me and I've yet to win the league. And
- 1:34:57Speaker 7: it's one of those things that like once you get one,
- 1:35:00Speaker 7: I mean I really would say it's basically like winning
- 1:35:03Speaker 7: the super Bowl, Like you just have to have one.
- 1:35:04Speaker 7: In your ledger and you're forever a super Bowl champion.
- 1:35:07Speaker 7: I would do anything to win the Warroom League. Anything
- 1:35:11Speaker 7: I do I get one. I could go oh for
- 1:35:14Speaker 7: Infinity after one championship if I get that one championship.
- 1:35:18Speaker 7: And I'm telling you, if anybody in the Warroom League
- 1:35:20Speaker 7: happens to see or listen to this, they will agree
- 1:35:22Speaker 7: with that assessment right there.
- 1:35:23Speaker 4: How many out of the sixteen how many are champions?
- 1:35:28Speaker 12: Have some?
- 1:35:28Speaker 5: Do we have some repeat cats right now?
- 1:35:31Speaker 7: So I believe there's been just one multiple time winner
- 1:35:35Speaker 7: in league history. And we've had a little bit of turnover,
- 1:35:38Speaker 7: so the only parameter is someone on the you have
- 1:35:42Speaker 7: to work at ESPN, So we've had some people that
- 1:35:45Speaker 7: either previously worked at ESPN that are no longer there,
- 1:35:47Speaker 7: people that have just elected to leave the league for
- 1:35:49Speaker 7: whatever reason. So I know the league is like fifteen
- 1:35:54Speaker 7: or sixteen years old. I'm not one of the original members,
- 1:35:58Speaker 7: but I think there are maybe like one or two
- 1:36:00Speaker 7: people that have won it multiple times. I don't believe
- 1:36:02Speaker 7: there's ever been a repeat champion.
- 1:36:04Speaker 5: Is there a multiple time champion currently in the league?
- 1:36:08Speaker 7: Yeah, I actually I believe the only one that's in
- 1:36:11Speaker 7: league right now is Seth Markman who I mentioned earlier,
- 1:36:13Speaker 7: is I had of the NFL TV stuff. So he's
- 1:36:15Speaker 7: got the secret sauce on fantasy football.
- 1:36:17Speaker 5: You know that pain Field to say his name too.
- 1:36:20Speaker 3: Yeah, he is the number one dog right now, number
- 1:36:22Speaker 3: one dog misters. As an individual who's won back to
- 1:36:27Speaker 3: back the league championships, I will tell you it is.
- 1:36:29Speaker 3: It is such a great feeling.
- 1:36:31Speaker 5: It's so hard.
- 1:36:33Speaker 3: It is it's nice and you just kind of just
- 1:36:35Speaker 3: kind of let you do your thing and you let
- 1:36:36Speaker 3: everybody they forget about it, and then once Fantasy football
- 1:36:39Speaker 3: comes back up in the fall, you just quietly let
- 1:36:41Speaker 3: everybody know, you know, when the last two I think
- 1:36:44Speaker 3: maybe back to back. It's beautiful. Uh, we appreciate you,
- 1:36:46Speaker 3: We appreciate you coming on the show.
- 1:36:48Speaker 5: Yes, dude, thank you. This has been a great time.
- 1:36:50Speaker 4: Good laughs, and listen, we'll have to get a we'll
- 1:36:52Speaker 4: have to get another check in at some point as
- 1:36:55Speaker 4: this league gets close to the end or gets come
- 1:36:57Speaker 4: playoff time.
- 1:36:58Speaker 7: Yes, I might have to invite myself down in Nashville.
- 1:37:01Speaker 7: I think it would hit a little bit different in
- 1:37:02Speaker 7: person on the bus. Oh yeah, lovel down to your domain.
- 1:37:06Speaker 7: But that's that's how we prefer it. We would rather
- 1:37:09Speaker 7: have people on the bus.
- 1:37:10Speaker 3: We're getting used to this whole zoom thing right now,
- 1:37:12Speaker 3: but being in face to face is the best move
- 1:37:14Speaker 3: for sure.
- 1:37:14Speaker 7: Yeah, and you guys have just a slight edge over
- 1:37:17Speaker 7: Connecticut weather start. I mean, actually it's nice up here
- 1:37:19Speaker 7: in New England today, but you know in about three
- 1:37:21Speaker 7: weeks it'll be getting dark at four thirty and probably
- 1:37:24Speaker 7: about thirty five degrees out.
- 1:37:25Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 1:37:25Speaker 7: Yeah, time to get the hell out, you're telling me.
- 1:37:29Speaker 3: Yeah all, but we appreciate you man.
- 1:37:31Speaker 5: Thanks.
- 1:37:32Speaker 3: Yeah, I can't wait for the check in soon.

- 1:38:11Speaker 3: place last week. A lot of votes, a lot of people,
- 1:38:14Speaker 3: multiple votes, but there was only be one winner, and
- 1:38:18Speaker 3: that one winner is Ryan Nolan.
- 1:38:22Speaker 5: Hut Ryan got Ryan Burrow.
- 1:38:25Speaker 3: Ryan's don an incredible job.
- 1:38:26Speaker 1: Dude.
- 1:38:27Speaker 3: We talked to you guys earlier in the show.
- 1:38:28Speaker 5: Also the commissioner of our fantasy football league.
- 1:38:30Speaker 3: Also the commissioner which you know didn't have the best
- 1:38:33Speaker 3: look didn't have the best local field yates just now.
- 1:38:36Speaker 3: But Ryan does an amazing job along with Clump as well,
- 1:38:38Speaker 3: helping us get prepared for ESPN. He's always dowaled in.
- 1:38:41Speaker 3: He does a reader's digest every Sunday to give us
- 1:38:43Speaker 3: a breakdown of what's going to happen in the week,
- 1:38:44Speaker 3: what's coming up in the weeks, in the future. You know,
- 1:38:47Speaker 3: uh was a core Value of the Week wins learns
- 1:38:51Speaker 3: all the things. The guy just totally keeps us dialed in.
- 1:38:54Speaker 3: Congratulations to Ryan Nolan.
- 1:39:02Speaker 5: Oh hey, Ryan, you might as well come on in here.
- 1:39:04Speaker 5: Come on in here.
- 1:39:05Speaker 4: Brother.
- 1:39:06Speaker 5: By the way, we had this true classic.
- 1:39:07Speaker 4: We had this thing drawn up to kind of pull
- 1:39:09Speaker 4: it out of the folder to shout out who's going
- 1:39:11Speaker 4: to be the good or in the month it is
- 1:39:13Speaker 4: Ryan Nolan.
- 1:39:19Speaker 3: You got Ryan.
- 1:39:25Speaker 5: I am honored.
- 1:39:26Speaker 14: I appreciate every one of you guys. Couldn't do it
- 1:39:28Speaker 14: without you guys, And yeah, I'm blessed.
- 1:39:31Speaker 5: Hell yeah, hey, Ryan, pick up the mic.
- 1:39:38Speaker 4: There's, as you know, controversy has been trying to come
- 1:39:42Speaker 4: to the top around our fantasy football league. You know,
- 1:39:46Speaker 4: I'm assuming you have questions that you would like answers to.
- 1:39:50Speaker 12: No.
- 1:39:50Speaker 3: I mean, I I got all the answers I needed
- 1:39:51Speaker 3: from field Yates, so I just think, but shouldn't you
- 1:39:54Speaker 3: bring those to the somebody who is the knows how
- 1:39:58Speaker 3: I feel about it?
- 1:39:59Speaker 7: Yesterday?
- 1:40:00Speaker 3: Yeah, we talked about yesterday. We've had the conversation. If
- 1:40:02Speaker 3: that's how you guys want to handle business, I just
- 1:40:04Speaker 3: don't want to hear anything else about me and handle
- 1:40:06Speaker 3: how I handle my business from now on. That's the
- 1:40:08Speaker 3: If that's the where do you guys want to go down?
- 1:40:10Speaker 3: All good?
- 1:40:11Speaker 5: Are you comparing it to the situation a couple of
- 1:40:13Speaker 5: years ago?
- 1:40:13Speaker 3: To be ad situation a couple of years ago, there's
- 1:40:15Speaker 3: always this thing around Taylor about all Taylor. You know,
- 1:40:17Speaker 3: he always bends the rules a little bit. It's okay,
- 1:40:19Speaker 3: all right, if everybody wants to throw stones at a
- 1:40:20Speaker 3: glass house, that's fine. Just to know that you also
- 1:40:22Speaker 3: live in a glasshouse.
- 1:40:23Speaker 5: Now hang on their sto.
- 1:40:25Speaker 4: Just to be clear that the what you were trying
- 1:40:27Speaker 4: to pull a couple of years ago, there is, Hey,
- 1:40:29Speaker 4: you can drive my vehicle around for the next few months.
- 1:40:32Speaker 4: Like there's money under the table.
- 1:40:34Speaker 5: Hey, can we let this like there was actual, all
- 1:40:36Speaker 5: alleged actual.
- 1:40:38Speaker 3: That is all alleged, an actual collusion. This is actual
- 1:40:41Speaker 3: collusion that you guys are hanging on the We were
- 1:40:47Speaker 3: talking in front of everybody as if it was a
- 1:40:49Speaker 3: conference meeting room taking place about an action that was
- 1:40:52Speaker 3: gonna happen. You guys were talking in the corner with yourself. Well,
- 1:40:54Speaker 3: we're all getting ready for finished football. I remember talking
- 1:40:56Speaker 3: about entourage.
- 1:40:57Speaker 4: It was said out loud on the tree, cooperation or concacy,
- 1:41:02Speaker 4: especially in order to cheat or deceive others.
- 1:41:05Speaker 15: It was definitely set out loud, because I was on
- 1:41:08Speaker 15: the complete other side of the stream room and heard
- 1:41:10Speaker 15: it being talked to.
- 1:41:11Speaker 5: It was set out loud and.
- 1:41:13Speaker 4: Again questions were being asked because again as a as
- 1:41:16Speaker 4: a GM of the league, I'm more so leaning on
- 1:41:18Speaker 4: the group and the commissioner. Hey, how do we want
- 1:41:20Speaker 4: to function with this trade? Because if we're playing our
- 1:41:23Speaker 4: guys this week, we can obviously put in the guys
- 1:41:26Speaker 4: that we have on our bench right now, but if
- 1:41:28Speaker 4: we're going to get points back because the trade's going
- 1:41:31Speaker 4: to go through, then we will leave our spots open.
- 1:41:33Speaker 4: So trying my best is GM to kind of follow
- 1:41:35Speaker 4: the rules. Again, there's no secrecy, nothing, nothing with collusion
- 1:41:39Speaker 4: trying to take place, no secrecy going on, nothing illegally
- 1:41:42Speaker 4: trying to get done or get on top of anybody,
- 1:41:44Speaker 4: simply trying to follow the rules. And you're bringing the
- 1:41:47Speaker 4: question up on you know, you brought it up yesterday
- 1:41:50Speaker 4: versus saying something then because you are down right now
- 1:41:53Speaker 4: and Pachecko needs to put up like around twenty five
- 1:41:56Speaker 4: or twenty four to win the game.
- 1:41:57Speaker 3: I do I do if anything stays the way it
- 1:42:01Speaker 3: is right now, right, but we.
- 1:42:02Speaker 4: Have three spots open because our points are getting That's
- 1:42:05Speaker 4: what we're talking about, right, But if that trade wasn't
- 1:42:08Speaker 4: going to go through, we still have JSN like we
- 1:42:10Speaker 4: have guys or are we're still getting forty Like the
- 1:42:13Speaker 4: game would still be Pacheco would still need to have
- 1:42:15Speaker 4: a big game.
- 1:42:15Speaker 3: Right, So we're playing a football game. I trade for
- 1:42:17Speaker 3: a bunch of guys, but they end up playing the
- 1:42:19Speaker 3: game for their team. I just go, oh, all the
- 1:42:21Speaker 3: points they scored that counselors are scored now, so we
- 1:42:23Speaker 3: get more points. But going to these guys and we
- 1:42:26Speaker 3: sat these guys.
- 1:42:27Speaker 11: I understand what Will saying is, even if he didn't
- 1:42:30Speaker 11: make that trade and had those guys still on his team,
- 1:42:32Speaker 11: they still scored forty more points, so he still would
- 1:42:34Speaker 11: have one.
- 1:42:35Speaker 3: All right, right, Yeah, I could have should have worent
- 1:42:37Speaker 3: all the things. I look at the scoreboard on my
- 1:42:38Speaker 3: fantasy app and I see what it is. And if
- 1:42:40Speaker 3: you guys want to change the outcome of the game,
- 1:42:42Speaker 3: you guys, go ahead and do that. I'm not gonna
- 1:42:44Speaker 3: take it personal. I went in with my draft and
- 1:42:46Speaker 3: I was like, if I can go three and three
- 1:42:47Speaker 3: in the first six weeks, your buddy's that's a huge win.
- 1:42:51Speaker 3: So for me, it's like, yeah, all good.
- 1:42:53Speaker 4: It doesn't sound like it's It sounds like you're very
- 1:42:55Speaker 4: fired up right now.
- 1:42:56Speaker 3: No, no, no, I've literally said, you guys, do whatever
- 1:42:59Speaker 3: you want.
- 1:42:59Speaker 5: We know what the score would be.
- 1:43:02Speaker 4: Pacheco would need like twenty four twenty five for them
- 1:43:05Speaker 4: to win.
- 1:43:05Speaker 5: The game without even your players in.
- 1:43:07Speaker 15: You guys are beating them one thirty nine to one sixteen,
- 1:43:10Speaker 15: so you're winning by twenty without any players in.
- 1:43:12Speaker 7: So they might not even look at.
- 1:43:14Speaker 3: Their look at their look at their matchup, right, Yeah,
- 1:43:16Speaker 3: you gotta look at the match up club. You gotta
- 1:43:18Speaker 3: you gotta read the things before you say things.
- 1:43:21Speaker 5: Who's that? Who'd you train?
- 1:43:22Speaker 14: I treated Adams, Flowers and Devant.
- 1:43:27Speaker 15: None of those people are in their lineup on mine
- 1:43:29Speaker 15: because they're on my roster.
- 1:43:31Speaker 6: Oh I'm saying you're winning even without.
- 1:43:33Speaker 14: Any because he was not still six points you added.
- 1:43:38Speaker 14: Look go to if you go to my team and
- 1:43:40Speaker 14: you add the points between the three of them. Yeah,
- 1:43:44Speaker 14: I took that total, added it to will to your total.
- 1:43:47Speaker 5: I did.
- 1:43:47Speaker 9: I just want to throw this out there.
- 1:43:49Speaker 8: We did consult chat GBT to see if there was
- 1:43:52Speaker 8: any collusion in the past with Taylor with the bus
- 1:43:55Speaker 8: in UH Fantasy League. It said no collusion.
- 1:43:58Speaker 3: To be sad, Yeah, that is that's on chatgy, right,
- 1:44:02Speaker 3: That's never wrong.
- 1:44:03Speaker 4: Look, Taylor's got a scummy resume. I understand he's trying
- 1:44:06Speaker 4: to clear right now, but.
- 1:44:07Speaker 3: Classic will defense mechanism. Let's let's attack Taylor's character. All
- 1:44:10Speaker 3: good man, You guys do what you want, Okay, you
- 1:44:13Speaker 3: handle your business the way you want to handle business.
- 1:44:15Speaker 3: Just like I said, I go three and three. I
- 1:44:18Speaker 3: if I said at the beginning of the year, if
- 1:44:19Speaker 3: I got three and three in the first six weeks,
- 1:44:21Speaker 3: I feel real good about it. All right, we had
- 1:44:23Speaker 3: every guy on by this week. We had to makeshift
- 1:44:26Speaker 3: a bunch of things. It's all good.
- 1:44:28Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 1:44:28Speaker 4: It doesn't even seem like it was going to be
- 1:44:30Speaker 4: a topic of discussion. What do you mean, Like I'm saying,
- 1:44:33Speaker 4: this was never like the game was going to play
- 1:44:35Speaker 4: out the way it plays out. So people were just
- 1:44:37Speaker 4: saying there's some collusion going on. People are trying to,
- 1:44:40Speaker 4: you know, bring some drama to the league. And it
- 1:44:42Speaker 4: only came from a couple spots, and you were one
- 1:44:45Speaker 4: of them.
- 1:44:45Speaker 3: I think a lot of people were talking about how
- 1:44:47Speaker 3: there's a lot of collusion going on, especially with this situation.
- 1:44:49Speaker 5: Who else every I think every other team, I don't
- 1:44:52Speaker 5: think so. Jeremy was like, hey, klump, was like, hey,
- 1:44:55Speaker 5: he heard it out louder, but.
- 1:44:56Speaker 3: A lot of things in front of you, and there's
- 1:44:57Speaker 3: a lot of things different in front of me. I'll
- 1:44:58Speaker 3: say that it's all. It's all good. I'm not here
- 1:45:01Speaker 3: to put anybody. I'm blast, it's all.
- 1:45:06Speaker 9: Understand people being like weird about it.
- 1:45:08Speaker 15: If they weren't talking about it out loud in front
- 1:45:10Speaker 15: of everyone, I did hear them, Like I said, I
- 1:45:12Speaker 15: questioned it.
- 1:45:13Speaker 4: I was the first one I questioned it, and I
- 1:45:15Speaker 4: was going down and Ryan will tell you. Before the
- 1:45:17Speaker 4: game started yesterday, I'm like, hey, I just want to
- 1:45:19Speaker 4: be clear. I'm leaving these spaces open because the points
- 1:45:22Speaker 4: are getting at it. If not, I need to put
- 1:45:24Speaker 4: in the guy like the guys who are gonna play.
- 1:45:26Speaker 15: Yesterday, I said it out loud, very loudly in the streaming. Wait,
- 1:45:28Speaker 15: hold on a minute, what are you guys doing over there?
- 1:45:31Speaker 4: Very tried and true, you know, just making sure we'd
- 1:45:34Speaker 4: go about it the right way.
- 1:45:35Speaker 3: At the end of the day, you can lay your
- 1:45:37Speaker 3: head on the pillow at night, and it sounds like
- 1:45:38Speaker 3: you guys can. So we're all good. No worries. Fantasy
- 1:45:43Speaker 3: football the hell of a time, just a game we're
- 1:45:46Speaker 3: having fun fun, Yeah, yeah, exactly.
