Music Worcester Names Artist in Residence

Radio Worcester’s Talk of the Commonwealth · Sep 30, 2026 · 22m

Dr. Everett McCorvey, a celebrated singer, conductor, and producer, joins the Discover Central Massachusetts podcast to discuss his role as Artist in Residence with Music Worcester. The residency, nearly two years in the making, grew out of a performance by his ensemble, the American Spiritual Ensemble, which was sponsored by Music Worcester. Rather than waiting for audiences to come to him, Dr. McCorvey has taken an active, community-centered approach, meeting with 27 local arts organizations and performing at Worcester schools.
