- 0:03Jasmine, oolong, green and white.
- 0:07Long ago, these four tees were skilfully brewed at the Blissful Brew.
- 0:11Then everything changed when the shop's popularity threatened its existence.
- 0:17All Mr.
- 0:17Okran, the shop's owner and tea master, could do was to recruit four teenage orphans to learn his trade and staff his shop.
- 0:26A year has passed since the orphans were hired, and although their skills have progressed, they still have a lot to learn before they can brew anything.
- 0:34But I believe that they have the potential to make the Blissful Brew the greatest tea shop in the world.
- 0:41What's everyone's favorite tea? That could be both your favorite personal tea, if you want to share that, but otherwise, what is your character's personal favorite type of tea? Connor.
- 0:55What does Brock Lee enjoy? Well, personally, my favorite tea is like an herbal tea, like a citrusy type tea.
- 1:04But I have feel for him.
- 1:06He didn't have a lot growing up, so he's just got whatever sort of discarded fruit has fallen off a cart going by, and he just soaks it in hot water and drinks that galls of tea.
- 1:15Awesome.
- 1:16Alfalfa from the barn.
- 1:18So anything and everything.
- 1:22Cameron, well, yours if you like.
- 1:25I don't know.
- 1:26I don't drink tea.
- 1:27You're not really a tea guy.
- 1:28I've never drank tea, really? So I have no answer either, because I don't know about teas.
- 1:33Cameron's favorite tea is a cold water final answer.
- 1:38And maybe a leaf water.
- 1:43One time a leaf fell in it and he picked it out, and then he drank it and he said, okay, no.
- 1:48That's what scarred him from tea.
- 1:51Oh, gosh.
- 1:52This is what tea is.
- 1:53Dave, what is you and whoa.
- 1:58What is you and Han's favorite kind of tea? Well, my favorite is probably chai tea.
- 2:06Oh, okay.
- 2:08Right.
- 2:08I just poured myself some tea.
- 2:10We're having some French vanilla CPU, a black tea.
- 2:15We'll see how that tastes.
- 2:17I would say Guajan's favorite tea is a sort of spice tea, maybe with a little milk in there.
- 2:24Sure.
- 2:24He's probably had quite a few different kinds of tea in his life, I'm sure the circus or the carnival and everything.
- 2:30I'm sure he's tried quite a few different favorites from across the Lance.
- 2:33That's pretty cool.
- 2:36Makala, mica, what tea is on the top of your list? My favorite tea is probably a green tea, or I like a raspberry tea.
- 2:51That sounds good.
- 2:52That's pretty good.
- 2:52All right.
- 2:53And what do you think Meeka would go for? I think she probably would go for most teas, but she probably likes the ones that are a little bit sweeter.
- 3:04Okay, cool.
- 3:05Awesome.
- 3:05All right.
- 3:06Like in the way that she adds sugar or just the natural sweetness.
- 3:09The natural sweetness.
- 3:10Okay.
- 3:11So she likes them, like fruity and things like that.
- 3:13Awesome.
- 3:14Me personally, as the game master, I always like a green tea.
- 3:19I love mixing two teas together.
- 3:22So usually what I'll do is I'll do green tea with, like, mint.
- 3:25Like a mint tea minty mint tea.
- 3:29Anyway, that's mine.
- 3:31All right, cool.
- 3:32All right, now we can jump in.
- 3:37As the sun begins to set and the usual customers come in from a long day of working to sit down and enjoy a nice cup of hot tea, four teenagers make their way through their duties amidst the Blissful Brew.
- 3:49Mr.
- 3:50Okuran, the owner, makes his way throughout the restaurant, greeting customers and calling orders to his staff members.
- 3:56As he does, we're going to go around and see as each individual is making their way through their duties at the tea shop.
- 4:03So from the front of shop, one of the first people that greets any of these given customers is Bill Door, who approaches a small family, maybe mother, father, two kids.
- 4:18They come in and they sit down at one of the tables.
- 4:20It's kind of one of those seat yourself kind of establishments and quickly rushes over.
- 4:24Bill Door.
- 4:26Bill Door, what do you look like? What's kind of your character's seat? He's tall, about six foot tall.
- 4:33He's lanky, and he's light.
- 4:38Long arms, long legs.
- 4:40Nothing in the middle.
- 4:42Nothing in the middle.
- 4:42Very skinny.
- 4:43He is a floating set of ligaments in a head.
- 4:46Yeah, basically.
- 4:48What clothes does Bill Door wear? How do you say? Casual, yet formal, I guess like a business casual in a sense.
- 4:55Yeah.
- 4:56He wears his pants are kind of like long, flowing, kind of like pants.
- 5:01As for his top, though, he has kind of like a vest on, like an undershirt.
- 5:07The sleeves are rolled up.
- 5:08Okay.
- 5:09As this little family is sitting down, you come walking up to them, and what do you say? Hello, how may I help you? I am Bill Door.
- 5:17I am the waiter here at the Blissful Brew.
- 5:21May I take your order? I have the menu here.
- 5:24You can bruise it for a little bit.
- 5:26Oh, thank you.
- 5:27Thank you so much.
- 5:28The mother says as you hand each well, you hand the parents a menu.
- 5:34Do you have a kids menu, by chance? We have water.
- 5:38Oh, well, I'll take two water.
- 5:41Well, we'll all do a water to start off with, and then I'll let you know if you want to swing by in a couple of minutes and we should have some things picked out that we would like.
- 5:52The husband doesn't really talk, like, at all.
- 5:54He just as he nods and looks at the menu, he looks pretty focused.
- 5:59Like, the second you hand it to him, he's just, like, scanning over it like you guys do at the Blissful Brew.
- 6:05Serve some, like, mostly, like, pastries.
- 6:08Not like, any meals, but just, like, little snack kind of items and stuff.
- 6:13So there are some food options.
- 6:16Okay, well, I would go to the back to get them their water and to give them time to figure out what they want for teas.
- 6:25Awesome.
- 6:26And since Bill Door doesn't drink tea, and yet he found himself in this waiter position.
- 6:32If they ask for his tea, he randomly pick one out.
- 6:36Like, if they ever said yeah, he randomly pick one as the tea of the day and recommend it.
- 6:42Okay.
- 6:42It could be awful.
- 6:43He doesn't know.
- 6:44Yeah, because he's just like, they're all awful.
- 6:46Yeah.
- 6:47Today we're drinking the tea of the day is lemon.
- 6:53Just straight lemon.
- 6:54Lemon.
- 6:55It's just water with lemon.
- 6:59Yeah, like a lemongrass.
- 7:00Although I guess with Avatar, you can combine, like, any two things and make it a thing.
- 7:04Okay.
- 7:05But lemon berry.
- 7:06Lemon berry.
- 7:07Okay.
- 7:07Lemon berry.
- 7:08Lemon berry tea.
- 7:10One of the kids like, mom, can I get a LemonBerry tea, please? And she says, okay, well, that's one order.
- 7:19He'll have a lemon berry.
- 7:21And then the other one kid, of course, being his kids, are like, a lot of lemon teach you.
- 7:31Okay, we'll do two we'll do two LemonBerry teas.
- 7:34Thank you.
- 7:35And then the other two of us will have ours ready when you come back.
- 7:38And so you rush off to the back to go get the waters and the two LemonBerry teas.
- 7:46Remind me, Guo Han, what does he do at the shop? He would kind of fill in where needed.
- 7:55He would also be server busser.
- 8:00He also kind of goes out, tries to drum up business from he does the advertising market.
- 8:06Sure.
- 8:06All right, perfect.
- 8:07So as bill door, as you're making your way towards the back, you stop by the counter where Guo Han is kind of like running the register.
- 8:15He's keeping track of the orders and the accounting side, otherwise of how much each customer owes.
- 8:24And you let him know about the new table that you just add.
- 8:30I need two lemon berry teas and the water.
- 8:36Two waters.
- 8:37I need two waters.
- 8:39Make it snappy.
- 8:41This is for table three.
- 8:44And build or, like, hand counts the tables.
- 8:48Yeah, it's three.
- 8:50I think it's three.
- 8:56So you marked that down, Guo Han, and tell us a little bit about Guo Han.
- 9:01You did a little bit before, but Guo Han, he is probably the shortest member of the group.
- 9:09He's only 5"1'.
- 9:10Okay.
- 9:10He weighs 140.
- 9:14So maybe slightly if you look at the BMI, he's got olive skin, like many of the Earth benders do, and Avatar, the show.
- 9:26And those kind of same green earth bender eyes.
- 9:31He's got black hair, kind of in a bowl, cut short on the sides, longer on the top.
- 9:37He wears pretty much the same outfit that Uncle Iro and Zuko wear when they are working in a tea shop.
- 9:44Oh, okay.
- 9:45Those robes.
- 9:46He's got a longer over robe, over pants, and a long sleeve tunic in the typical Earth bender colors, kind of the greens and yellows.
- 9:57Yeah.
- 9:57Awesome.
- 9:58Okay.
- 9:58Very cool.
- 10:00He also has, like, roundish wire-rim glasses.
- 10:04Okay.
- 10:05He's basically the Harry Potter of the Earth Kingdom.
- 10:10The Earth bending.
- 10:11Harry Potter Perfect.
- 10:12So as you're writing down and note taking the order, you're calculating their current total just so you have it ready, although there's a good chance that they're probably going to order more.
- 10:22You just like to have the numbers ready to go as you do that, and Bill Door passed that information to you out loud, you hear a voice from the back say, oh, two lemon berry teas and two waters coming right up.
- 10:38And both of you, you just kind of glance over really quick and you see the familiar face of Mr.
- 10:43Okuran, who owns this tea shop.
- 10:45He's the manager.
- 10:45He's the owner.
- 10:46So you guys know him? Well, of course, he's an older man, also wearing kind of similar clothes to Guo Han that is sort of this kind of earth kingdom robe style clothing.
- 10:59He's doing an impressive feat of he's opening up the oven door with his foot because he's leaned back and pouring two LemonBerry teas that are sitting like the cups are already on a platter over on the opposite side of him.
- 11:17So he's pouring those he's opening up the stove with his foot.
- 11:21He sets the t down as he finishes pouring the two cups of them.
- 11:24To which he then leans forward with grabs a pot holder with his hand and pulls out a bunch of freshly baked.
- 11:33Like.
- 11:33Scones.
- 11:34Sets that tray on top of the stove.
- 11:36And then sets the potholder down.
- 11:38Turns around.
- 11:39Grabs a pitcher of cold water it'd be probably like a clay pitcher or something like that.
- 11:46Starts pouring two of those into glasses.
- 11:49And then Bill Door, you come over and you grab the tray from where he's got it all set up, and you take it over to the table.
- 11:57And as you do this, you notice two other figures who are both standing right next to each other as they furiously wash dishes.
- 12:05They've got teacups? Not furiously.
- 12:07Meeka? No, not furiously.
- 12:09Tell me how Meeka is washing some dishes.
- 12:12I assume you're probably on washing duty, whereas Brock Lee is probably on drying duty.
- 12:17I think theoretically that makes sense.
- 12:19Yeah.
- 12:19Well, Meeka is a very nonchalant kind of gal.
- 12:22She's pretty laid back, so she also doesn't like what's his name? Okra.
- 12:30Oh, Mr.
- 12:30Okuran.
- 12:31Okra.
- 12:33She calls him Okra.
- 12:35She doesn't really care for him too much, so she doesn't do probably her 100%, but she's using her water bending skills and washing the dishes.
- 12:44Okay.
- 12:46All right.
- 12:46And then what does she look like? What is she wearing? Is there any defining features that people would notice if they walked by and saw her? Yeah, she looks like a water bender from the Southern Tribe.
- 13:03She has the same clothing.
- 13:05However, it's not blue.
- 13:06It's more of like a grayish tone.
- 13:08Okay.
- 13:09Obviously, the water tribes are very like they're together.
- 13:14Oh, they're like very close knit.
- 13:15Yeah, they're close knit.
- 13:16So she didn't want to completely give up that part of her, but she didn't want to look like them.
- 13:24Either.
- 13:25So basically the same as higher as a waterbender, just gray.
- 13:29She has a burn mark that goes from her forearm to her hand.
- 13:35Okay.
- 13:38And on her left hand, she also has only one earring.
- 13:42Probably people would notice that just because it's kind of weird I don't have a matching set.
- 13:49She is also a very small member of this group.
- 13:52She is one inch taller than Mr.
- 13:54Han over here.
- 13:55Okay.
- 13:55She's five two, and she's pretty skinny.
- 13:58She's like 97lbs.
- 14:00Oh, wow.
- 14:00Yeah, she's very small, very opposite body type.
- 14:03Well, height wise, she'd be similar, but I digress any gas.
- 14:07Okay.
- 14:07And then right next to you is Brock Lee, who I again assume is drying the dishes.
- 14:12Yeah, he'll be drying the dishes.
- 14:14Okay.
- 14:16You want me to go over? Yeah, go for it.
- 14:18What are we all seeing? So, Mr.
- 14:20Brock Lee, he's 17 years of age.
- 14:23He is six three, 225lbs, a very well built country boy, farm boy type.
- 14:30Brock didn't come from much, so he's wearing some very baggy and raggedy clothes.
- 14:35Things like Aladdin-type pants and a very raggedy-type shirt.
- 14:41He's in the back of the house.
- 14:43He doesn't need to worry about presentation or what he looks.
- 14:47He's got a green headband that pulls back his top knot of black hair.
- 14:53Okay.
- 14:54Got some beard stubble, because this is before OSHA.
- 14:56This is before all the FDA approved stuff.
- 15:01Of course, he doesn't have to worry about beard hair in the dishes.
- 15:07It's probably one of the most, like, bearded 17-year-olds you'll probably meet in your life.
- 15:12Yeah, that is Mr.
- 15:17Brock Lee.
- 15:17Awesome.
- 15:18Okay, perfect.
- 15:19Well, now we've seen the whole cast.
- 15:20So as you guys are quickly scrubbing the dishes to make sure that you have enough for all the customers that are coming in, and Guo Han is writing down the numbers as the orders come in, Bill Door is rushing tray of drinks out to that table that just got here.
- 15:40As you guys are all doing.
- 15:41That mr.
- 15:42Okuran, he calls out, I am running out to the back to check the inventory.
- 15:47I will be right back if anything goes wrong.
- 15:52I'm sure you guys can handle it.
- 15:55Bill Door I don't know if you necessarily hear this since you're already rushing out back onto the floor, but I'd say the other three of you probably definitely hear that.
- 16:03As Mr.
- 16:04Okuran steps out one of the back doors to go check, you guys have kind of like a large shed-like, building in the back that usually holds all the inventory.
- 16:13It's kind of like a drive space to make sure that the leaves and other ingredients inside are kept good.
- 16:18There might be like some sort of icebox section of it that keeps cold ingredients like your milk and your creams and things like that also cold.
- 16:28So anyway, he steps out to that.
- 16:30It's pretty normal for him to do that.
- 16:32Shortly after he does, though, and this is going to be something that Bill Door and probably Guo Han are going to see immediately.
- 16:39The other two of you are in the back.
- 16:40But from the front door of the tea, a mid-40s man looking fairly burly, maybe a bit chunky, stumbles into the tea shop, laughing off the fact that or actually I'll describe that sorry stumbles into the tea shop.
- 17:02That's what he sounds like as he comes stumbling in.
- 17:05He walks immediately up to he doesn't even sit down at one of the tables.
- 17:08He rocks immediately up to the counter to Guo hot, and he says, what got the drink here? Oh, hello, sir.
- 17:17We serve a variety of teas here.
- 17:23I don't care about you.
- 17:25What kind of booze you got.
- 17:29This isn't that sort of establishment.
- 17:31Well, I just got kicked out of the bar across the street, and that's the third one at night already.
- 17:37And I just really want I don't care what it is.
- 17:41You got some lemon sake, hot cup? Did you say lemon berry? What? Bill standing behind him, just holding a tray with the water and lemon berry teas.
- 17:58If you got a lemon berry, like sake or vodka or whatever, as long as it's strong.
- 18:09Is it actually nighttime or what time? It's kind of like mid-afternoon, so the sun is starting to set, so it's not quite dark yet, but it's getting there.
- 18:20I looked the Bill out and I said, yeah, we can get some alcohol for you.
- 18:27Wink.
- 18:28And I wink to Bill.
- 18:29Bill just stands there smiling really big.
- 18:32He's practiced his waiter smile for a long time, and he's basically nailing it now.
- 18:38Sure.
- 18:39He always is just smiling regardless of the situation.
- 18:42Well, the obviously intoxicated man, which you can easily tell from the smell, you could be 3ft away and probably notice that this man is pretty heavily intoxicated.
- 18:52He turns to you, Bill Door, and he says, well, are you going to give me the booze? Yeah, you have to take a seat first.
- 19:00Okay.
- 19:01That was corner one away from all the other people.
- 19:04That'd be a good one.
- 19:05Okay.
- 19:07He walks over and he sits down at that table, and then he just loudly starts singing.
- 19:25It's fairly loud.
- 19:26You can see any of the customers with tables, like, anywhere within, like, a ten-foot vicinity of his are just, like, kind of glancing over at him, and they look like, it'd be great if you shut up.
- 19:39And then they kind of look over to the front of the house like, are you guys going to do anything about this? Yeah.
- 19:44Bill Door walks over such his waters and teas down for that family, and he's like, excuse me, sir.
- 19:53It would seem like that man over there is being a little bit loud and a little bit annoying.
- 20:00My children are getting a little bit disturbed and kind of anxious, and I'm doing everything I can to keep them in their seats.
- 20:08Thank you so much for the tea.
- 20:09That'll help to comb them a little bit.
- 20:12I've heard lemon berries really good for anxiety.
- 20:15Yes, but a loud, drunken man singing is not very good for anxiety.
- 20:21It's not.
- 20:22He looks over in the corner towards the drunk guy.
- 20:28Other Earth's Kingdom cities.
- 20:33What are your orders? Oh, yes.
- 20:36I think we'll each get a slice of the ras berry lemon pies.
- 20:42Berry lemon pie.
- 20:43Got it.
- 20:44Raspberry lemon.
- 20:46Yeah, got it.
- 20:47Oh, thank you.
- 20:48Okay.
- 20:48Yes.
- 20:48And I think that's no trap.
- 20:50Okay, very good.
- 20:51All right.
- 20:53I think that's what we'll be ordering for the night.
- 20:55No tea? Oh, yes.
- 20:59Honey, did you want a tea? Green.
- 21:02Okay.
- 21:03He'll have green, and I will have jasmine tea.
- 21:06Okay.
- 21:07Bill Door kind of, like, mentally registers that and then goes over to Guo Han.
- 21:18It's like okay, so they want some raspberry lemon pies, two steel trap.
- 21:27What jasmine tea.
- 21:29And then he said green.
- 21:31Which is that, a tea or a color? Did he want the color? That's one of our basic teas.
- 21:38That one.
- 21:39Okay.
- 21:39And I'm going to go talk to that guy and see if he even has money.
- 21:46Can Meeka or Brock Lee hear anything that's going on? Are you, like, totally oblivious? No.
- 21:53As the guy continues to sing, he's getting louder and louder.
- 21:56And then if the sound is starting to reach you guys, if we can hear that over us cleaning the dishes, that's got to be loud.
- 22:04We're in the back of the house.
- 22:05We don't got to deal with them.
- 22:08I mean, if you guys do want to do anything, you just let me know.
- 22:11Okay, well, I'm going to turn to Brock Lee, and I'm going to say, I know how to handle this.
- 22:16I'll be right back.
- 22:17Okay.
- 22:18And then I'm going to walk, too.
- 22:19Okay, so you walk out to the front, and then you and Bill Door both approached the table with this drunken man who's now saying, I met a girl in the Water Tribes city, and she was also pretty.
- 22:36Hey, are you from the Water Tribe? You look like you're from the Water Tribe.
- 22:47I was born there.
- 22:49Those water tribe girls.
- 22:55I like them.
- 22:58I'm sure they've shown you a thing or two.
- 23:02Yeah, I bet so many things.
- 23:05Yeah.
- 23:06Money.
- 23:12I'm your waiter.
- 23:15Well, you can just wait on somebody else.
- 23:18Where's my booze? All right, please excuse my friend Bill.
- 23:25He's trying to invest.
- 23:27So you want some alcohol? Yeah.
- 23:30Good old stiff drink.
- 23:31Don't even care what it is.
- 23:33Hit me with it.
- 23:34All right, I know the best place that you can go.
- 23:38It's not here.
- 23:39We don't have but I'm already here, and he said he was going to bring me some alcohol.
- 23:44Yeah, but here's the thing.
- 23:46We're going to go across the street.
- 23:48We're going to take a right.
- 23:50Okay? We're going to go down some stairs.
- 23:54No, it's not that far, I promise or something.
- 23:59Yeah.
- 23:59I'm telling you, it has the best stuff.
- 24:01Not everybody knows about it.
- 24:02So we're going to do that, or rather you.
- 24:06I don't even have a drink with you.
- 24:08And at bottom these stairs, there's going to be a door and we'll just head on in there.
- 24:14How's that sound? I'll walk you through the door.
- 24:16We can see us on.
- 24:18I want you to roll a plead yes.
- 24:23Both dice? Yes.
- 24:27It's an eight.
- 24:28That'll be a soft success.
- 24:31They need something more okay, so on a seven to nine, they need something more evidence that this is the right course, guidance and making the right choice or resource to aid them.
- 24:42So he says to you, he said, I've been out of the bars in this city.
- 24:48This one doesn't sound familiar.
- 24:49How do I know you're telling the truth? Wait, time out.
- 24:53Yeah, so my thing says that I roll with passion if I'm goading or provoking choose two of those moves.
- 25:01So if that's when you want, you want to mark that down.
- 25:04Oh, so that's not one that I necessarily have, but you could because like I said, you get two of those right off the bat.
- 25:10So tell me, what is the roof and what does it say? Okay, so if I go or provoke an NPC into full hardy action, I say what I want them to do and roll with passion on a ten plus they do it on a seven to nine.
- 25:24They can choose one of four options.
- 25:27Okay, so if I rolled with passion, that would actually give me a nine.
- 25:31Right.
- 25:32So I guess he could choose to do it, but more intensely than I expected, and I'm taking off guard.
- 25:41Does he choose one of those options? Yeah.
- 25:43Okay.
- 25:45He does it but more carefully than I expected.
- 25:47They get an advantage against me.
- 25:50They don't do it, but they embarrass themselves and they mark a condition.
- 25:54They don't do it, but only catch themselves at the last minute.
- 25:57They stumble and give you an opportunity.
- 25:59Okay.
- 26:01This is a good opportunity for this one.
- 26:03Okay.
- 26:04So he says, I've been doing a lot of the bars on this day.
- 26:08Don't remember that one.
- 26:10And then he climbs up onto his table and he just starts shouting, this lady right here, she's alive.
- 26:18She's trying to get me to leave all united people.
- 26:21And I know how much everyone here loves me.
- 26:25So I just want you all to know that nobody should take her word for anything that she the table wobbles a little bit and he falls off the table and just crashes onto the ground.
- 26:37And all the people in the restaurant are as.
- 26:41He slowly picks himself up and he looks at Bill and he said, you did that? How do you jiggle my table? And he takes a swing at you.
- 26:50So now we're going to enter and we're going to enter.
- 26:54It's not combat per se.
- 26:56It's called an exchange, which I guess technically is combat.
- 27:00So basically the way that this exchange works, if you look at your sort of little cheat sheet, each one of you are going to pick which so on the exchanges, okay? So you're each going to pick whether you want to defend and maneuver, advance and attack or evade and observe.
- 27:19And with each of those you'll have, like I said, the moves which are on the right side of the sheet.
- 27:25So under defender maneuver, you can do ready, you can do retaliate, you can do season on advance an attack, you can strike, you can pressure, you can smash.
- 27:36And then on a evade and observe, you can test the balance.
- 27:39That's their personal balance, not their balance on the table, bolster or hinder or commit to.
- 27:46We all pick just the two of you who are involved in the immediate situation and then based on what you pick, we will go in order.
- 27:56So anybody that chooses to defend and maneuver will go first.
- 28:00Anybody that chooses advance and Attack will go second, and anyone that chooses evade and observe will go last.
- 28:06Bill Door.
- 28:07And Meeka, let me know what it is that you choose.
- 28:10Do we choose one of those things underneath of it when we choose it, or we just yes, you'll choose one of those.
- 28:16I'm going to evade, in and observe.
- 28:18Okay.
- 28:19And then Bill Door.
- 28:20What are you doing? Defend and maneuver.
- 28:22Defend and maneuver.
- 28:22Okay, and then underneath those, which one are you guys choosing? And you'll go first.
- 28:27We can start with you Parry.
- 28:30Oh, you're going to use your okay, so tell me what your ability does with Parry.
- 28:34Stop a fox attack before it connects.
- 28:36Choose a foe who used advance and Attack.
- 28:38This exchange.
- 28:39During advance and attack, mark the T for one for one to cancel the intact they use against you after they pay the cost.
- 28:46Okay, sounds good.
- 28:47Obviously this drunken person is going to be using strike.
- 28:50That's a pretty straightforward one.
- 28:51So Makala, you go ahead and you roll with focus too, I believe, right, okay.
- 28:57Twelve plus three.
- 28:58Oh, wow, that is 15.
- 29:00Okay, well that is a heavy success.
- 29:02So he's going to be using the strike.
- 29:07So for strike, it's a strike of phone range, forcing them to mark to fatigue, mark a condition or shift their balance away from the center of their choice.
- 29:16So basically you would mark to fatigue and you just literally cancel out his attempt to punch you and he takes it and he also takes fatigue, correct? Yes.
- 29:27Equal to what I took.
- 29:28Yes.
- 29:28So he'll mark two fatigue and you mark two fatigue and he completely whips it as you sidestep very expertly out of his way.
- 29:37Meeka, you said you're going to do bathroom observe.
- 29:41Yeah.
- 29:42Okay, which option were you going to take? Okay, I'm going to do the bolster or hinder.
- 29:48Okay, so you aid or impede a nearby character afflicting inappropriate.
- 29:51So roll with either creativity or harmony.
- 29:55I'm going to roll with creativity.
- 29:57Okay.
- 29:59Five.
- 29:59Five.
- 30:00Okay, so that's a miss.
- 30:01So what were you trying to do? Are you going to bolster the door or were you going to hinder the drum hit? Okay, how are you going to try to hinder him to keep him from successfully hitting from hitting Bill Door? Yeah, tripping.
- 30:19Okay, so you stuck your foot out and then he Whists, and then when he steps backwards, he steps over your foot.
- 30:25So it doesn't quite trip him, but he did miss, so no problem.
- 30:29Okay, so now at the end of an exchange, we can choose not to go into another round of exchange if you feel comfortable.
- 30:36But I would say that in this scenario, since he whipped it and he's still on his feet, he's going to just keep trying again.
- 30:45And he's not trapped or anything.
- 30:46So he's going to try to swing another punch awkwardly at Bill Door.
- 30:52So I'm just announcing, I guess, that he's probably going to be using the attack option again.
- 30:58And everybody, both of you can decide what it is that you would like to do in response to that.
- 31:04He says as he's about to throw his punch, you know, good dodge, man, throw another punch.
- 31:15Can I say Bill Door wants to sidestep the punch and grapple him and hold him and put his arm span his back.
- 31:25I guess let's call that seize a position since you're seizing behind him to sort of like grab him.
- 31:31So you're putting yourself into a position to hold him.
- 31:34I'm going to call it that.
- 31:36Meeka, what would you like to do? I want to go for the kill.
- 31:39And this man right here in a tea shop? No, there's this family nearby.
- 31:45They've got anxiety relieving tea.
- 31:48They'll be fine.
- 31:49No, you look around and the people around you are like, excitedly drinking their tea as they watch this fight go down.
- 31:59So I can choose a different basic technique so I advance an attack? Yeah, you can do that.
- 32:07Which option would you like to take within that strike? Okay, sounds good.
- 32:12All right, cool.
- 32:13So he is also striking.
- 32:15So Cameron, you're going to be rolling first with focus.
- 32:19This is to position nine.
- 32:23Okay, so that's a success.
- 32:24So you move to a new location, essentially.
- 32:27Let's see, any phone engaged with you can mark one fatigue to block this technique.
- 32:32He's not going to do that just because he's drunk.
- 32:36He's just trying to throw punches.
- 32:38So he goes for it.
- 32:40You dodge out of the way and then you step behind him.
- 32:43So you don't have him necessarily grappled or anything like that at the moment, but you are right behind him to do something along those lines if you wanted to hear shortly.
- 32:54Meeka, you strike.
- 32:56That's what you said, right? Yeah.
- 32:57Okay, so you strike.
- 32:58So roll with passion.
- 33:01Seven.
- 33:02Okay.
- 33:03So you strike a foe.
- 33:05That's a success.
- 33:05You strike a foe, forcing the no mark to fatigue market condition or shift their balance away from center their choice.
- 33:16He's going to take a condition, which is he is going to mark angry, which makes sense.
- 33:23How do you hit him? What are you doing to strike him? Can I just kick him? Okay, where are you kicking him at? Like, are you kicking him from behind? Oh, okay.
- 33:33You're kind of in front of him.
- 33:34You do a quick kick.
- 33:36He was not expecting you to attack him.
- 33:39Maybe it's because he might be a little bit misogynistic and he doesn't think like girls fight.
- 33:44Whatever the case, you kick him right in the stomach, and then he glares at you from the side like, you jerk.
- 33:52So he is now angry.
- 33:54So he will take a minus two to guide in comfort and assess the situation, which is ironic, because he probably already was taking a bit of a minus from assessing the situation, given his drunken state, but I digress.
- 34:07Okay, sounds good.
- 34:08So, Bill Door, you're currently standing right behind him.
- 34:11He just got kicked in the stomach.
- 34:14He is looking like he is about to just topple over and pass out.
- 34:18At this point, between the drunkenness, between being kicked and such like that, etcetera, as this is having Guo Han, what are you doing? As you're kind of seeing all of this go down? So as I see this kick off, I'm going to go into the back.
- 34:34Hi, big guy.
- 34:35I think they need you out there.
- 34:37But, hey, I have an idea.
- 34:41Maybe create an opening.
- 34:42Follow my lead.
- 34:44And I grab a cup, and I fill it with hot, dirty dish water.
- 34:51Oh, man.
- 34:52And I go out there, him.
- 34:56I approached him like, hey, Mr, your drinks ready.
- 35:01Booze on the house.
- 35:04I do like a free drink, and I'll be back for you in a moment.
- 35:09And he starts to hobble his way.
- 35:12He's like, I need a refreshment before I finish this bar fight.
- 35:17And he starts making his way over to GuoHan.
- 35:21Broccoli, what are you doing in this situation? So after Guo Han comes up to me, scoops up the dirty dishwater, say, oh, I got to see where this is going.
- 35:29Oh, absolutely.
- 35:30So I follow him.
- 35:31Okay.
- 35:32And I maintain a good distance where I can observe everything, but still what's it called? Intervene if I need to.
- 35:42I'm intervening.
- 35:43All right, perfect.
- 35:45So we're out of the exchange.
- 35:49Exchange? Yes, you're out of the exchange at the moment.
- 35:51That's the cool thing about the system, is that you can kind of jump in and out of exchanges really easily and really quickly.
- 35:57As he's making his way over to Guo Han, I'm assuming, Bill Door, are you following him from behind? Yeah.
- 36:04Okay.
- 36:05Because you've got your position behind him.
- 36:07You're ready? I was going to kind of meet him halfway so that I walked down, like, the center aisle or whatever, and he's walking from the side.
- 36:16So we meet kind of near the front door.
- 36:19Okay.
- 36:21So you kind of come to him more than he comes to you.
- 36:23Okay.
- 36:23I got over there.
- 36:25Okay, sounds good.
- 36:26And then, Meeka, are you following or what's kind of your position at the moment? Where was our position compared to the family? Sure.
- 36:40So you were maybe, like, two tables down because he was sitting in the corner, in the far corner table, kind of like the darkest little section of the room.
- 36:48Most people don't even use that table.
- 36:50Yeah, the aragorn table, if you will.
- 36:55So that was about maybe, like, two to three tables away from this family that's sitting there.
- 37:00There are a few other customers at some of the other tables between there as well.
- 37:05Well, I'm going to essentially just observe the situation, but in a sense where if I needed to jump in to prevent anything that would happen, where the family would be involved, like, I could block it.
- 37:19You know what? Okay.
- 37:20I mean, so you're kind of taking a potentially defensive stance if things go awry as this whatever Guo Han has planned out goes into place.
- 37:31So the drunk man approaches Guo Han, who's holding the tray, and he steps forward.
- 37:37It's about time you guys have brought me my drink.
- 37:39And he takes the cup.
- 37:41I assume, like, you're not holding it, or you're like, yeah, we got some hot, dirty sake for you.
- 37:48Yeah, I like it hot and dirty.
- 37:51And he picks up the cup, and he downs it, and he drinks the whole thing.
- 37:57He goes for it.
- 37:58He doesn't even really taste it at all.
- 38:00Well, I mean, he does, but he just says to you, yeah, that's the strongest.
- 38:09You guys really don't do too much with alcohol, that's for sure.
- 38:12Stuff tastes terrible, but it's definitely strong.
- 38:17This will get me back into this fight.
- 38:19I'll be just fine.
- 38:20And he starts to turn around to head back to this combat situation.
- 38:27What are you guys doing? Especially you, Guo Han.
- 38:31What was your thinking? Well, I wanted to try to use one of my moves.
- 38:36Okay.
- 38:39It's called this was a victory.
- 38:41Okay.
- 38:42When you reveal that you sabotage the building device or vehicle right as it becomes relevant, mark fatigue and role of passion.
- 38:50So I'm not sure if that would really apply.
- 38:53I mean, you sabotage his drink, so I can see that.
- 38:57So I'm going to reveal it by saying, oh, hey, listen, that was a dirty drink, but it was dirty dishwash water.
- 39:08What? It wasn't even booze.
- 39:12There wasn't alcohol in your dirty, dirty water.
- 39:15There may have been some fermented berries, I think.
- 39:19Okay, I got two.
- 39:25He says there was some text your dishwater.
- 39:31Yeah.
- 39:31I was wondering how that would taste like if you watch a bunch of tea cups.
- 39:36Would it, like, melt together? It's like an everything tear tea is that you were part of making it.
- 39:48We beat him the house special for free.
- 39:52And he says, Refreshing.
- 39:54And then he spins around and sees that Bill Door is standing there right behind him.
- 39:59So we'll jump back into another exchange, but now everybody is involved.
- 40:02So you can all decide on what move that it is that you would like to do and how you'd like to do it.
- 40:08And just let me know as you come up with it.
- 40:11Is anyone advancing and attacking? I was planning on pressuring.
- 40:16Okay, so you're going to intimidate the foe.
- 40:20What were you thinking of doing? I guess you're kind of revealing yourself to this guy for the first time.
- 40:26So this giant, muscular, stubble, bearded 17-year-old comes stepping out from the back.
- 40:33I like to think you're in an apron.
- 40:35I don't know why, but in an apron.
- 40:37Okay.
- 40:38All right.
- 40:38And then are you saying anything? Because you would go before he does.
- 40:41So this is before he swings.
- 40:43So basically, Bill Door just kind of sets up for a parrying stance.
- 40:47So he's just ready to counter whatever this drunken man does.
- 40:51You come stepping out.
- 40:53The drunken man standing there.
- 40:54He hasn't swung yet.
- 40:55It's like, sir, do you really want to get into an altercation now? Look at all these nice people.
- 41:01You're messing up their reasons.
- 41:03Why don't you just head outside and we can maybe take care of this outside? Oh, you got to roll with passion based on what you roll, and then we'll see how he handles it.
- 41:12Plus one eight.
- 41:15Okay, cool.
- 41:16So you can choose an approach, and that folk cannot choose that approach in the next exchange.
- 41:22Okay.
- 41:23So even after I pressured him, it'll be next exchange.
- 41:26So he might swing the punch now, but next exchange, you could tell him to not advance an attack because you want him to take things outside.
- 41:35Got you.
- 41:37Yeah, I'm your one.
- 41:38Okay, cool.
- 41:39So, yeah, he seems a little bit he's got the punch ready to go.
- 41:44You say this as you kind of step out from behind him.
- 41:46He hears your voice.
- 41:47He can hear that you've kind of got this pretty gruff, more intimidating voice coming from behind him.
- 41:55So he's going to swing this punch just because it's already prepared.
- 41:58But at the same time, he knows that you mean business.
- 42:02And so he's thinking, okay, if this doesn't work out, I'm probably going to just do what this guy says and we're going to take this outside and build you're kind of at the ready.
- 42:11Am I near the door? Yes.
- 42:14Could I do behind you? Yeah.
- 42:15Could I just have him charge me and then sidestep him and just shove him out the door? Sure.
- 42:21I'm going to mark you as prepared because you got behind him last time, so you're ready for what's coming.
- 42:27You clear prepared to take plus one to all appropriate roles, given the circumstance or you can avoid marking a condition, but I have a feeling that you probably want to direct that towards what you're about to do.
- 42:41Yeah, okay, perfect.
- 42:43So you're probably going to do an advanced attack, I'm assuming something related.
- 42:48I don't know what you would call this.
- 42:50Yeah, it's an interesting one.
- 42:52I want to say I'm going to call it a retaliate because he's about to swing at you, and you're going to kind of use that or my Parry.
- 42:59Or your Parry? Yeah.
- 43:00No, actually, Parry, I think, is a good one.
- 43:02So let's go for that.
- 43:03He's going to strike.
- 43:04Does anybody else have anything specific that they want to, or at the very least, is anybody else defending him? Maneuvering.
- 43:09Okay, so you are going to do your Parry.
- 43:11So go ahead and roll for Parry.
- 43:14Yeah.
- 43:14And I get plus one to those, right? Yes.
- 43:17All right.
- 43:18That's a heavy, and I got a plus one.
- 43:21All right, so one to one.
- 43:23Guo Han, do you have anything specific that you wanted to do? As far, I wasn't sure if you were going to advance an attack or if you wanted to evade him.
- 43:31Observe.
- 43:32I probably evade him.
- 43:34Okay.
- 43:34And then, Meeka, are you doing the same thing? Okay.
- 43:36All right, sounds good.
- 43:37So he's going to throw his strike Bill Door, is going to parry one for one.
- 43:43So you'll both mark two fatigue.
- 43:45Actually, exactly what happens that you wanted to happen is going to play out.
- 43:48So as he swings his fist, you expertly dodge out of the way, grab his arm with both of yours, and push him ever so slightly towards the door.
- 43:58His inertia already from his kind of awkward, heavy swing, pushes him and his feet to quickly step towards the door just to maintain his balance as he pushes through the doors, lands outside, and kind of just rolls onto the ground, kicking up a little bit of dust as he goes.
- 44:15So the four of you are all standing inside, kind of staring out as he goes.
- 44:19And then all of a sudden, all the people in the restaurant start to cheer and collapse because you guys just kicked out that rude man from your tea shop.
- 44:29He's laying there in the dirt.
- 44:30Is there anything that you want to do? As he lays in the dirt outside, the door, looks around, and then just kind of shuts the door and then wipes off the dust off his hands and then straightens his vest and says, all right, back to those orders.
- 44:54Okay.
- 44:54All right, sounds good.
- 44:56You don't hear from the man again.
- 44:58You assume that after you threw him out, he must have just hobbled away or who knows? Maybe there were a couple of guards outside that watched him get thrown out and kind of guessing from his demeanor, they picked him up and hauled him off to go sleep off his drunkenness inside of a cell or something along those lines.
- 45:15He went to go find that hot bar.
- 45:18Yeah, he figured, well, no luck in there.
- 45:20I think I'll go somewhere else.
- 45:22He started following what he can barely remember of your direction.
- 45:26Awesome.
- 45:27I think I am Shanked.
- 45:32He allegedly had money, so I don't know.
- 45:35Whatever the case, as you guys are kind of dusting your hands from the situation, mr.
- 45:40Okuran enters through the back of the shop and he hears all this cheering from all these people and he approaches the four of you and he's like, what in the world is going on? And with that, I think we'll end the session today.
