  Hello friends, it's Sean here. It's Friday and it is August the

  23rd. Yeah, must be Friday when you

  have to think about the date to work out what it is.

  And you've made it to the end of the week.

  Well done, friends, Well done. Here we are able to get together
• 0:28
  and to share a Psalm together. And yes, yes, we are still
• 0:32
  ascending that hill to get to Jerusalem on top.
• 0:37
  And today, today's Psalm is 1/28, which you'd know that all
• 0:41
  psalms have different genres and today's Psalm has the genre of a
• 0:46
  hymn. So this is a hymn that is sung
• 0:50
  to celebrate what God does for those people who fear him and
• 0:53
  love him and obey him. It's a Psalm that speaks of all
• 0:57
  the blessings that God wants to give His people and ultimately
• 1:01
  will give us when we eventually reach the top of that hill, when
• 1:06
  we go to be with our God and we come to Zion on that mountain,
• 1:10
  and He will just blow our minds with His presence and His
• 1:16
  awesomeness. And so all of these psalms just
• 1:19
  preface that as we head up toward Jerusalem, toward that
• 1:23
  hill, to be with our God. So let us not delay any longer.

  It's a whopper of a Psalm, all six verses, and we will enjoy
• 1:31
  each one of them as we read together Psalm 128.
• 1:46
  How joyful are those who fear the Lord, all who follow His
• 1:51
  ways. You will enjoy the fruit of your
• 1:54
  labour. How joyful and prosperous you
• 1:57
  will be. Your wife will be like a
• 2:01
  fruitful Grapevine flourishing within your home.
• 2:05
  Your children will be like vigorous young olive trees as
• 2:10
  they sit around your table. That is the Lord's blessing for
• 2:14
  those who fear Him. May the Lord continually bless
• 2:19
  you from Zion. May you see Jerusalem prosper as
• 2:23
  long as you live. May you live to enjoy your
• 2:27
  grandchildren. May Israel have peace.
• 2:42
  My God, thank you that we live with this hope in our hearts,
• 2:47
  this hope of a future with You where you bless us, You bless
• 2:52
  family, You draw us to You to sit around that table and to see
• 3:00
  the wonderful way that your creation flourishes and blossoms
• 3:05
  in your presence. Come, Holy Spirit, be present in
• 3:11
  our lives today. May we not just wait for that
• 3:15
  moment in the future, but may that moment be now from now that
• 3:20
  we live in Your presence, that we love You, that we obey You,
• 3:25
  and that Your Kingdom can start to permeate through our lives
• 3:30
  now. And even when the banquet isn't
• 3:34
  so rich and our children aren't such healthy young olive trees,
• 3:41
  Lord, that we can continue to step forward, loving You and in
• 3:44
  faith that You will restore things to be as you design them
• 3:48
  to be in the future. Oh, we look forward to that day
• 3:53
  and until then, we are yours, we are your people and we love you.
• 3:58
  And it's in Jesus name that we pray.
