- 0:00Welcome to Frontline Static, we will get to hear interviews with
- 0:02some of my clients journeys of getting into flight and how they
- 0:05utilize coaching to help them create success of getting hired
- 0:08with less confusion and more ease.
- 0:10Make your dream a reality of getting into flight.
- 0:12Listen in as you hear some of the stories of the people
- 0:14getting there and come join the Flight Prep group.
- 0:18OK, I'm so excited. I just needed to push record
- 0:21'cause we're starting to get to the good stuff before we even
- 0:23started recording. But I have Sarah with me today.
- 0:26She's been on the podcast before, but she just got hired
- 0:28into flight, so we're going to talk about her journey to flight
- 0:30today. So Sarah, do you want to
- 0:31introduce yourself? We'll start there.
- 0:33Yes, I'm Sarah Senior. I'm born and raised in Georgia
- 0:37and that's where I currently live with my family now.
- 0:41I've been in nursing for four years now, strictly in the ER.
- 0:47I decided I really wanted to get into fly and that was my goal.
- 0:52And then I happened to stumble upon Janessa's Instagram, full
- 0:56of the flight coaching and everything.
- 0:58I've kind of stalked her for a little few months on the
- 1:01Instagram and then reached out to you.
- 1:04I think that was at the beginning of 2024 about this
- 1:09group that you were creating and decided to go all in.
- 1:14I was pregnant at the time and so that was also AI guess, an
- 1:20obstacle I thought I was going to have to overcome.
- 1:22But you made it seem so easy and it was the whole time.
- 1:25So recently I landed a job as a flight nurse and I'm all excited
- 1:31about it now. Woo Hoo.
- 1:34We're here to talk all about it today on this episode.
- 1:38I love your story because OK, this is what I love.
- 1:45I want more women to be in this job.
- 1:48We need women as flight nurses. We are good multitaskers.
- 1:53We're empathetic. We this this is like a great
- 1:56career for us. And I do feel like this is kind
- 2:00of a male dominated space. So I'm a huge believer when my
- 2:04female clients or even people who don't work when they come to
- 2:07me and like they're like, well, I wanna have kids and I have my
- 2:10family. Like, how is that gonna be with
- 2:13my kids being so young and working 24 hour shifts?
- 2:17And I, I poignantly remember when you came to me and you
- 2:20said, well, I just found out I'm pregnant.
- 2:22What is that gonna do? How what does this look like for
- 2:26me? And I remember just telling you,
- 2:30you will be the best flight nurse because you're our mother
- 2:34and this will make you so good at your job.
- 2:39And I just remember you believing me and trusting me and
- 2:46I just like am so proud of your journey and where you've come.
- 2:50So I would just love for you to share to the other moms out
- 2:54there or to be moms like, how is how have you?
- 2:58What were you thinking? And how have you like reconciled
- 3:01that in your mind? So I will say going into our
- 3:04first meeting, the I've been in 2024 when I first found out I
- 3:09was pregnant, in my head I was like, no flight company is going
- 3:13to hire me because he wants to train me for me to go on
- 3:16maternity leave or I just felt like that was going to be a turn
- 3:19away for flight companies. And when I expressed that to
- 3:22you, he said, well, do you want to work for somebody?
- 3:25Basically he's not going to support your goals and family.
- 3:29And so that really changed everything in my head.
- 3:32I'm like, you're right, I don't want to be with an employer or a
- 3:36company that's not going to allow me to have the family and
- 3:39because that's my priority. And so I feel like that changed
- 3:43my whole mindset and everything going into flight nursing.
- 3:47And then on my first ride along with a flight company, I happen
- 3:51to be with a flight nurse who was pregnant too.
- 3:54And so I felt like it was all just meant to be because then it
- 3:58really showed me first hand like, OK, well, she's flying.
- 4:01She had is about to start her family and the flight company
- 4:04was really supportive of her. So I feel like it just opened my
- 4:08mind to OK, this is really is attainable.
- 4:11And so throughout my pregnancy, I did my EMTI, did multiple ride
- 4:16alongs. I got to see first hand with how
- 4:19flight companies handle the supporting working moms and got
- 4:26to see just from different flight nurses their perspective
- 4:29of how this career can support their families and still have
- 4:33the perfect work life balance. I forgot that story like I
- 4:39forgot that your first ride along she was pregnant.
- 4:41Yes, and I feel like that was so meant to be.
- 4:44That was like the perfect like how I could have gotten into
- 4:48thought. Yeah.
- 4:49And I have like the, I really have this big belief that when
- 4:53we really want something, like people come into our lives and
- 4:57are placed into our lives to like really help us for that
- 5:00particular situation. Like I don't think things are
- 5:02coincidental. And I also believe that when we
- 5:06really have the courage to go for something that's scary or
- 5:09that we have fear, like those people are placed in our life
- 5:12too. And I just, I haven't heard that
- 5:16from anybody else that they even followed someone who was
- 5:19pregnant and for you to be matched with someone who was is
- 5:21just like crazy. Yes exactly, she had just
- 5:24recently found out she was pregnant too and we were both at
- 5:27the same like beginning of our pregnancy so that was just crazy
- 5:33to me that it all worked out that way.
- 5:35Yeah, yeah. OK, so now let's Fast forward
- 5:37from 2024 after you found out you were pregnant.
- 5:39Now your baby's like almost one, right?
- 5:42Do 14 minutes now. Oh my gosh. 14 Oh my gosh.
- 5:49So I will say going in a fight and looking at these positions,
- 5:53I knew very clearly after working with you which company I
- 5:57really wanted and what I wanted my schedule to be like, which
- 6:01was part time so that I could spend a lot of time home with my
- 6:06baby. That was like the ultimate goal.
- 6:08And so I've interviewed with several companies and several
- 6:13ride alongs and then ended up landing this position as a part
- 6:16time flight nurse near my house. And so that means 124 hour shift
- 6:22a week every Wednesday. So it's a set schedule.
- 6:25And so that's exactly what I wanted.
- 6:29That's amazing. And I, and I told you this like
- 6:32via text that it's you must have done phenomenal for them to give
- 6:39you a part time position as a brand new flight nurse and then
- 6:42also a set schedule because they want to do so bad.
- 6:46It's awesome, it's everything. I couldn't ever want it I feel
- 6:49like, especially starting out with fly.
- 6:53And I'd love for you to talk on that because I, I do tell people
- 6:56like you're when this is like quote UN quote dating them, when
- 7:00you're doing ride alongs and making connections, you're
- 7:02trying to figure out what they value and if it's a match for
- 7:05what you value. And I love that to begin with.
- 7:08You're like, I need someone to who values having a family,
- 7:11having children. And that's kind of how you, your
- 7:13lens on everything and how you found this company.
- 7:17So I think people don't believe that because I think this is my
- 7:20dream job, so I should just take whatever there is.
- 7:23But can you speak on how that's been different for you and
- 7:26really figuring out if it's a match?
- 7:28I will say I've done several interviews with three different
- 7:33flight companies total in my area and like you said even on
- 7:37the ride alongs I would ask the people I was with like how's
- 7:40your family work life balance? How do they support your family?
- 7:46Is it easy to get days off if you need it if you I want to
- 7:50have kids like how does that look?
- 7:52And so I got different responses for everybody.
- 7:54And even in my last like trimester of being pregnant, I
- 7:58interviewed with the company and that was my question is I'm
- 8:01pregnant now. What is it look like supporting
- 8:04going forwards if I was to take this position and they gave me
- 8:07their honest answer. And so I feel like that really
- 8:09led me into the position that I was able to interview for now,
- 8:13as far as the nurses there said that they're really supportive
- 8:18of their family work life balance.
- 8:20So that's what I really was striving for.
- 8:22My main goal was to find that. Yeah, I love that you have a
- 8:25perfect match because you looked for the perfect match.
- 8:28Yes. Can you also speak on having cuz
- 8:32was this you had three interviews prior and then this
- 8:34was your 4th or was it 2 and then this was your third?
- 8:38This is my second interview with this company.
- 8:40I had I think 2 before then with two different companies OK my
- 8:47area. So this is the second one I had
- 8:49with this specific company. OK, this is perfect.
- 8:52I'd love for you to talk about that and also that this was, you
- 8:55know, third interview, your second one with this company.
- 9:00Because what happens for a lot of people is they interview for
- 9:03one and then they don't get it. So then they pull back and
- 9:05they're like, it wasn't meant for me or it's not my time.
- 9:08But what was it for you that kept you going and interviewing
- 9:12and seeing if it was a good fit and then also coming back a
- 9:15second time for the same company?
- 9:17I feel like when these come, from what I've heard from almost
- 9:21all come, all the companies I interviewed for and the flight
- 9:25nurses that I was able to do ride alongs with is more than
- 9:28likely you're not going to get on your first time and they want
- 9:31to see you keep coming back. And that was just in my head.
- 9:34I just assumed I was like, just keep showing persistence and
- 9:38they'll say that I'm serious about it.
- 9:40And so with this particular company that I just got hired on
- 9:44for, I reached out to several bases and like really made
- 9:49myself annoying I guess to them I would ask for, ride along, ask
- 9:53for just kept on being persistent with them.
- 9:56I ended up interviewing for a position at the beginning of the
- 10:00year that was out of state. Not even I knew that I wouldn't
- 10:04be able to take it, but they were like, go ahead and
- 10:07interview for it. So you can see how the
- 10:08interviews are like and they can see your face with a name.
- 10:13And so I did. They didn't offer it to me, but
- 10:17then I was able to reapply for another position that I went for
- 10:21the interview and again, did not receive that one because I said
- 10:27they had someone internal doing it.
- 10:28But then several months later, they reached out to me, just
- 10:31called me out of the blue one day and was like, we have a
- 10:33position for you, it's yours. And so that's when I accepted it
- 10:39just a couple weeks ago. Yeah, and this is like an
- 10:42example of leave room for a little bit of magic.
- 10:44And that was my podcast episode last week where it's like, it's
- 10:48not linear. It's not like you interview for
- 10:50one base and then you get that basis position.
- 10:53No, look at you interviewed for for a different position.
- 10:57You didn't even apply to this one.
- 10:59And they remembered you from the previous interview even though
- 11:01it was a no. Yes.
- 11:02And they didn't even have to post this position.
- 11:04They just had me on their list. And they were like, when a
- 11:07position becomes available, we'll let you know.
- 11:09And that's exactly what happened.
- 11:11Yeah, and that was just because you were willing to get yourself
- 11:13in the interview, do ride alongs, make connections with
- 11:15them. So they had you in mind before
- 11:17they even posted it? And I will say doing interviews
- 11:21with different companies, they were all three companies did it
- 11:25completely different. One did it on Zoom with several
- 11:29different members, I guess of their base.
- 11:33One did it in person and it was just me and the manager, just
- 11:37one-on-one. And then the company that I did
- 11:39with now brought a whole group of us in and we had to do like
- 11:43we were there all day to do the testing, the actual interview,
- 11:48the case scenario. So that was interesting also to
- 11:51see it each company does something so different.
- 11:55And remind me, Oh, go ahead. Well, this group prepared me for
- 12:00each interview because that's what we went over and our weekly
- 12:03calls was going over each scenario of the interview.
- 12:07Yeah. And remind me with your last one
- 12:09with the group interview, did they interview all together or
- 12:11they brought you all and then separately?
- 12:14Separate. So they brought us all into a
- 12:16room to do the testing and then in the middle of us testing,
- 12:19they would call US one by one to do the interview and then the
- 12:23case scenario. But it was in front of like 10
- 12:26people, I believe it was at a round table and everybody just
- 12:30went one by one asking questions.
- 12:32Yeah, yeah, yeah. And what I love about that is
- 12:37that that's what I kind of teach you guys too, is that I'm seeing
- 12:40more group interviews like that because they want to know your
- 12:43psyche of when you're seeing the other applicants.
- 12:46It's like, what is this going to do for you?
- 12:48How are you going to be able to showcase who you are and also
- 12:51not be stuck in comparison mode? But I've also seen interviews,
- 12:56Well they're they'll interview all 10 of you at the same time
- 12:59and ask you the same question, which is super interesting as
- 13:03well. And that's what I've prepared
- 13:05myself for is all these scenarios.
- 13:08I felt like we really worked on that each week in the interview
- 13:12prep courses. And so I feel like that really
- 13:14helped me with no matter what the situation was, I felt
- 13:17prepared. So good, awesome.
- 13:20My question for you with this is what did you learn?
- 13:23What do you feel like you learned from from every
- 13:26interview since you got to sit in multiple ones and different
- 13:29kind of scenarios of them? I believe just how my flow went,
- 13:34just getting into a flow of how to answer the questions each
- 13:38time. After each interview, I'd write
- 13:40down all the questions that I got asked and really come up
- 13:43with a strong, solid answer so that pretty much each interview
- 13:47I went to, next time, if they didn't ask that particular
- 13:50question, I was able to kind of modify a question I already had.
- 13:55And like we discussed in the group, just tying it back to if
- 13:59I was getting lost, just having that one thought in the head,
- 14:02like I just really want to fly or whatever each person had for
- 14:06them. What was your thought that
- 14:08helped you like Recenter when maybe?
- 14:11I just want to fly but this is what I want to do.
- 14:14I just want to fly, so I feel like each question I did I
- 14:17talked about myself but tied it back to how much I just really
- 14:20want to fly. Yeah, I love that.
- 14:23I love that. What was I going to ask you
- 14:27about the interviews? I guess like a more broader
- 14:30question that I'm thinking people who are listening might
- 14:33be thinking to themselves is what do you think were the
- 14:37steps? And everybody's journey is
- 14:38different, but what do you think were the steps that like created
- 14:41success for you to now have an offer and then also have the
- 14:45position and company that you that you really wanted?
- 14:48I will say mindset, just my mind completely has changed from the
- 14:53beginning when I first talked to you to going through these
- 14:56weekly coaching and then because by the beginning I thought this
- 14:59was going to be a goal in like 5 or 10 years.
- 15:02It's working with you and just growing over the last year.
- 15:07I felt like that's really changed my mindset and just, I
- 15:10know I'm still nervous. I'm scared about this position,
- 15:12but I had the mindset of I know I can do this.
- 15:16I know that I'll get the training and I know that I'll be
- 15:18fine. And so I felt like that really
- 15:24I've just grown that way. And then just taking the steps
- 15:26of figuring out which each like company requires and then what
- 15:31they want. And also with this particular
- 15:34company, when I first interviewed with them at the
- 15:37beginning of the of this year, I showed them what I was doing.
- 15:41Like I had a mentor, which was this company.
- 15:43I did my EMT already. Like I had all these check
- 15:46boxes. And so when I didn't get that
- 15:48position, but I was getting brought back for another
- 15:51interview. What I really make sure is how
- 15:53can I show them that I've grown since the last interview?
- 15:56So good. I had been, I passed my CN and I
- 15:59was currently had scheduled my CFR and I had transitioned to
- 16:05cross training in the ICU so that they could see that I was
- 16:09serious about going for this position.
- 16:12And each time I'd also emailed them back and be like, what can
- 16:16I work on for the next interview?
- 16:18And I felt like that really showed them that I was going to
- 16:21continue with this position. And that's, I feel like what
- 16:25ultimately got me hired as they saw that I was wanted to keep
- 16:29growing and wanted to keep learning.
- 16:32Yeah, I think you touched on something really big before,
- 16:35which includes. This is like being annoying,
- 16:38being being persistent, and being consistent.
- 16:42Yes. And that.
- 16:44I feel like it's key. That's like something we coach
- 16:47on almost every week. Almost everybody comes to me and
- 16:49they're like, well, I don't want to e-mail them back or ask about
- 16:52this because I don't want to be annoying.
- 16:53I don't want to be eager. And I'm like, if you're being
- 16:55annoying, you're doing it right. You just have to be willing to
- 16:58feel the discomfort of thinking that you're annoying.
- 17:01But knowing all these companies, they're not thinking about the
- 17:04thousands of people reaching out to them.
- 17:06So you have to advocate for yourself.
- 17:08And they might not see the first 3 emails or, or anything that
- 17:13you send. And then it's the fourth one
- 17:14that they're going to be like, oh, and then they look back and
- 17:16see that you have been consistent.
- 17:18And so they're like, OK, well, she really wants it.
- 17:21Yeah, and that's why I love offering you guys like those
- 17:24thoughts of like, if you're thinking, oh, I'm being
- 17:27annoying. No, they're thinking, oh, she's
- 17:29consistent. They're persistent.
- 17:31She really wants this. And that's what all companies
- 17:35that I've done right along, they're like, you just have to
- 17:37keep on networking and being ride alongs and reaching out and
- 17:42you'll eventually get the job. And that's exactly what
- 17:44happened. I'm curious for you because it's
- 17:48been interesting. I've I've helped probably in the
- 17:50last six months. Two people get a part time
- 17:53position and one person get it per DM which I've really never
- 17:56ever heard of for a brand new flight nurse.
- 17:59So I'm curious for you, what do you, how do you think that you
- 18:02presented yourself to be able to fill a part time position versus
- 18:07a full time 1 which is like normal?
- 18:10I feel like just in the interview, I did go in there
- 18:13with the mindset of being confident and just like I don't,
- 18:19I really don't know. I feel like it's just how I came
- 18:21off of even when I was asking when it came time in the
- 18:25interview to ask questions, I was asking all the right ones.
- 18:28I feel like as as far as training, what that looks like,
- 18:31if I have the opportunity to at least train full time, what they
- 18:35prefer if I train part time hours or full time hours and
- 18:38just getting letting them know what I wanted.
- 18:42Also, because they have to, they give you a sheet of paper for
- 18:46you to circle like what positions you want and
- 18:48everything. And I just wrote on there
- 18:50instead of circling. I was like part time anywhere.
- 18:53I was like full time at the closest base to me.
- 18:56And so I felt like being honest and not just saying that I'll
- 19:00take any position. I felt like they really took
- 19:03that at consideration. I love that.
- 19:06I'm also thinking what would be something if someone listen
- 19:12right now, male or female? But I just think US women were
- 19:16like, we have a lot of mom guilt.
- 19:19So if a female or a mother is listening or someone who's
- 19:23planning on having kids, what advice would you give them who's
- 19:29like they're thinking, I don't know how this is going to affect
- 19:32me being a mother. I don't know how this is
- 19:34affecting me having a family. Like what would you tell them if
- 19:37they really want flight? If you want it bad enough, it's
- 19:41going to happen there. You just have to want it enough
- 19:45and you will make it work and it will be in your best interest.
- 19:50Ain't your kids best interest. If you're happy and you're doing
- 19:53a career that you love, they're going to see that.
- 19:56And I feel like it's going to reflect to me, I feel like
- 19:59flight was going to open more doors and let me be at home more
- 20:03versus working these 3648 hours in the ER.
- 20:07When I leave, I'm exhausted, when I come home I'm exhausted.
- 20:10And I really only have two or three days at home with my
- 20:14family and not being exhausted. So I feel like flights going to
- 20:20be the best work life balance right now.
- 20:22It really will. Like I hit the work life balance
- 20:25lottery when I went to flight when you work 224 hour shifts
- 20:27and then I had five days off in a row.
- 20:31I was like maybe I need a full time job somewhere else.
- 20:35Exactly, that's the way it was funny because on one of my ride
- 20:39alongs I was with two males and I just asked them.
- 20:42I was like so what's work life balance like do y'all have a
- 20:45family at home and do you get to see them a lot with this job?
- 20:51And one of them answered gassing them too much and so I thought
- 20:55that was funny. He said by the time his stretch
- 20:58is done, he's ready to be back and get a little break from him.
- 21:02Yeah, it is totally funny because since I've been home as
- 21:05a full time flight nurse for the last three years, you know, I
- 21:08flew for seven. It's it's difficult when you
- 21:12don't live at home for seven years and now you're back home
- 21:15full time. It's a good like it's a good
- 21:17enough reprieve to like be with your friends and your teamwork
- 21:20and you know, all of that stuff. I'd love to talk.
- 21:25Oh, so actually my question was when you said that are you
- 21:27planning on staying on your ER job?
- 21:29Are you going all in in flight and?
- 21:31So for right now, I turned in my notice at work and I'm going to
- 21:35go all in on flight just for the training.
- 21:38I know up front it's going to be a lot.
- 21:40So I definitely don't want to try to balance the PRM position.
- 21:45And my manager and everybody I work with was very happy for me.
- 21:49And they're like, if you want to come back, just text me.
- 21:51So I have that door open if I want to in the future.
- 21:54But for right now all in the flight I want to learn as much
- 21:58as possible and just put all my all into becoming a good flight
- 22:02nurse so and also be at home with my babies.
- 22:06So yes. So good because that's like the
- 22:08number one thing that I coach new flight nurses on is like,
- 22:11they want to still like hold on to the other job.
- 22:14And usually it's because they're nervous they're going to fail
- 22:17and so they want to have that lifeboat.
- 22:20But I'm like, if you want to work more hours, you can in this
- 22:23in the flight. Yeah, yeah.
- 22:25I'd love for you to talk about business too, because I love not
- 22:30only that you want to get in flight, but that you're you also
- 22:33have something else that you like are doing for work and your
- 22:36travel business and you have a family because I that, and maybe
- 22:41I'm biased, but I think nurse make the entrepreneurs because
- 22:46we're so used to doing multiple things at once.
- 22:49We're so good at it. So I'd love.
- 23:02Passionate and seeing the world and helping others travel.
- 23:06And so honestly I feel like nursing is the hardest job
- 23:08possible. I was like, if I can do nursing,
- 23:10I can do anything. And literally I feel like
- 23:13anything after nursing is just so easy compared to the 12
- 23:17shifts at the hospital. And so I felt like that was also
- 23:23a good way for me to just have a different work life balance, I
- 23:27guess of seeing something else and not having to physically
- 23:30work hard. It's all pretty much on the
- 23:32computer and just talking to other people, which I love and
- 23:36talking about travel. So I feel like that was really,
- 23:39it doesn't feel like work, it feels awesome and just helping
- 23:42others travel. And so I feel like with this
- 23:45part time position in flight, it's also going to give me more
- 23:48opportunity to grow my business along with travel often and then
- 23:54be at home with my baby too. So.
- 23:56That's the scenario. Yes, completely.
- 23:59And we'll link up at how to get into contact with you if people
- 24:03are interested in that. But can you just tell us like
- 24:06if, if they want to contact you about travel and that business,
- 24:09how do they do that? I'm on all the social media, so
- 24:12like Instagram, Facebook, I have my website, but it's White
- 24:16Forest Luxury Travels on my Instagram.
- 24:20It's linked there, but just literally either texting or
- 24:24calling me. I have my number linked on there
- 24:26or I have forms to get in contact with my e-mail.
- 24:30So there's so many ways I feel like to get in contact with me.
- 24:33OK, perfect. We'll link up your Instagram so
- 24:35that they can contact if they're interested.
- 24:37In that, yeah, that would be awesome.
- 24:39I love that. I really am a big believer.
- 24:43I love healthcare. I love being a nurse.
- 24:45It's not always roses and daisies and all of those things,
- 24:49but I do think it's important that we don't get our identity
- 24:52too tight up into that, that we find external things, whether
- 24:56it's like another career, excuse me, hobby, business or whatever,
- 25:02that we really enjoy our identity outside of it.
- 25:06Exactly. So I love that you have that.
- 25:09Thank you. I love it and I feel like it
- 25:11keeps like I said the balance. I'm just trying to find a good
- 25:14work life balance and I feel like it keeps me from being too
- 25:19much of all in as the nurse and spending every single day
- 25:23nursing because that's mentally exhausting.
- 25:26And also being a full time mom, being at home all the time.
- 25:30So I feel like it's just another escape to do something I love
- 25:34and then hopefully make money out of it.
- 25:37Yeah, yeah. And I love it because I think we
- 25:40have to be responsible for what we really want.
- 25:42For sure, everybody can, I feel like can create the life that
- 25:46they want. If you want it bad enough,
- 25:48you're going to make a way. Yeah.
- 25:50And we have to go out there and take action towards it.
- 25:52We can't. Like, you know, we see a lot of
- 25:54people who complain about not liking a department or their job
- 25:57or all those things. But if you really want
- 25:59something, we have to go out there and we have to go and
- 26:01create it and so that we can experience it.
- 26:05And it's possible if we do, if we keep at.
- 26:07It 100% possible. It's completely up to you.
- 26:10I feel like yeah, life that you want.
- 26:13If you want flight bad enough, you're going to.
- 26:15It's going to happen. I love that.
- 26:18I love your story. I love how you created the
- 26:20perfect flight job that you want with the travel that you want,
- 26:23with the family that you want to have.
- 26:25Like, I just think your story is so powerful.
- 26:28And I feel like the biggest key to getting me here as far as
- 26:32flight, the same thing when I started my travel business, it's
- 26:35just finding mentors. You were the one for flight.
- 26:38When I had a travel business, I had a mentor for that too.
- 26:42For nursing, there was nurses I looked up to to talk to.
- 26:45So I feel like the main thing is the biggest key is finding a
- 26:49flight mentor and mapping out the road to getting there.
- 26:53Yeah same. I've had a mentor for everything
- 26:56and it just helps you not quit. Exactly.
- 26:59You're held responsible, and then when it feels like it's not
- 27:02going to happen, you have somebody be like, no, it is.
- 27:05I already, like you kept saying, I already see it for you
- 27:08already. You're already getting there.
- 27:11Yeah, sometimes it's hard to believe in yourself, but when
- 27:13you have somebody holding you accountable and believing in
- 27:16you, it makes it a little bit easier.
- 27:19That's key. Like that's how I chose my
- 27:21mentors is I have to have a mentor who believes in me, like
- 27:23believes in like my vision before me and then holds me to
- 27:26it like my feet to the fire. Yes.
- 27:30Is there anything, Sarah, that we haven't talked about that you
- 27:32want to mention or any like piece of advice that's been
- 27:36really helpful for you up until this point that we can like kind
- 27:39of end with? I don't think so.
- 27:41Like I mentioned, just really having a mentor and finding
- 27:45somebody that's going to be there to in your corner to help
- 27:48you and if you want it bad enough, it's going to happen.
- 27:53We're just staying consistent. This is key.
- 27:57I love that being annoying. OK, well Sarah, thanks for being
- 28:04on. I really appreciate it.
- 28:06I know people are going to really take something from the
- 28:09conversation that we had today and I am so excited to just kind
- 28:12of watch you grow into your dream and living your dream.
- 28:15Thank you, thank you for everything in this group, for
- 28:18supporting me, because 100% don't feel like I'd be here as
- 28:22fast as I am now if I was not part of this group.
- 28:26Man, we really cut your timeline down from 5 to 10 years.
- 28:29Did you say 5 to 10 years to? What?
- 28:32Yes, yeah, it's been a year. So just within a year, I feel
- 28:36like mentally I've grown so much and then getting this position
- 28:41has just filled the deal. I love that you'll keep us
- 28:44posted on everything. I will.
- 28:46OK, perfect. Oh, and Sarah is going to be on
- 28:49our live panel interview with people who just got hired in a
- 28:52flight next Wednesday, October 29th.
- 28:54So if you guys are listening to that this week before then join
