- 0:00Speaker 1: Well, guys, you know, Solo all had a really good
- 0:02Speaker 1: year for the Yukon Men and he joined me here
- 0:05Speaker 1: for a few minutes, So let's start there. What did
- 0:06Speaker 1: you work on? What parts of your game did you
- 0:08Speaker 1: really had work on this year? And we're emphasized by
- 0:11Speaker 1: the coaches to work.
- 0:12Speaker 2: On yeah, over this past summer and going into the season,
- 0:15Speaker 2: just becoming a more complete player. I feel like I
- 0:17Speaker 2: p proved that I could be a score and really
- 0:19Speaker 2: at least scored at all three levels. But I think
- 0:21Speaker 2: just expanding my game, becoming more of a defensive playmaker,
- 0:25Speaker 2: That's what coach has really been harping on.
- 0:27Speaker 3: And also just.
- 0:28Speaker 2: Becoming a regular playmaker just on the ball, making place
- 0:31Speaker 2: for other people, and just being a leader that people
- 0:34Speaker 2: can rely on.
- 0:35Speaker 1: All right, Defensively, what particular defensively is he looking for
- 0:37Speaker 1: it from you?
- 0:38Speaker 2: Definitely just being more active on the defensive end, just
- 0:40Speaker 2: being more of a pest, picking up, being more energy,
- 0:43Speaker 2: just really just providing more energy on the court because
- 0:46Speaker 2: we we're definitely going to need it. That was our
- 0:47Speaker 2: Achilles Hill last year, so being able to just expand
- 0:50Speaker 2: on that, become even greater defender is going to help
- 0:53Speaker 2: us down the road for sure.
- 0:55Speaker 1: So I know what about pace there are I mean, look,
- 0:58Speaker 1: I've worked with Gino forever and her and he talks
- 1:00Speaker 1: about being fast, but being too fast, like the game
- 1:03Speaker 1: slowing down for you. Have you noticed that in your
- 1:06Speaker 1: game it's slowing down for you now that you're beginning
- 1:08Speaker 1: to understand what coach Eurly and the staff want from you.
- 1:10Speaker 3: Oh yeah, absolutely.
- 1:11Speaker 2: Just being in the system and adjusting to it has
- 1:14Speaker 2: helped me so much. I feel like the game has
- 1:16Speaker 2: slowed down tremendously since going from freshman to sophomore in
- 1:20Speaker 2: your junior year. So, I mean, I think it just
- 1:22Speaker 2: makes it easier going through practice. You're working on the
- 1:24Speaker 2: same things every day and you just get to improve yourself.
- 1:28Speaker 2: Really just gets to reprove all fast your game, just
- 1:30Speaker 2: the way we practice. So I mean it's been great.
- 1:32Speaker 1: What's the depth look like on this team? How deep
- 1:34Speaker 1: can you guys go?
- 1:35Speaker 3: Man? We have an incredibly deep team.
- 1:37Speaker 2: I think the ceiling is literally just national championship.
- 1:40Speaker 3: I really believe we could do it. We could get
- 1:43Speaker 3: the Big East as well.
- 1:43Speaker 2: I feel like we could really win everything like that
- 1:45Speaker 2: twenty to twenty fourth team and I really stand on
- 1:49Speaker 2: all the success that we could do this year.
- 1:50Speaker 1: So you're a tad hungry to get one of those
- 1:52Speaker 1: cute rings.
- 1:52Speaker 2: Huh, absolutely, absolutely, for sure. Freshman year, might I had
- 1:57Speaker 2: a little bit of a role, but definitely just to
- 2:00Speaker 2: expand this rule and would be a big thing for
- 2:02Speaker 2: me and the rest of the team.
- 2:03Speaker 3: Is just gonna be super fun.
- 2:05Speaker 2: I mean, winning a national championship that's a feeling like
- 2:07Speaker 2: no others. So running out on the court like what
- 2:09Speaker 2: we did freshman year was a surreal feeling.
- 2:12Speaker 3: I definitely want to feel that again.
- 2:13Speaker 1: All right, of the newbies and I'm talking to Elie freshman,
- 2:16Speaker 1: but the transfers who stood out so far?
- 2:19Speaker 3: Man? Or where do you start? Yeah? Where do I start?
- 2:23Speaker 3: There's really no where I can start, to be honest.
- 2:24Speaker 2: I mean everyone has been great in practice and adjusting
- 2:27Speaker 2: like smoothly. It's almost felt like guys have been with
- 2:31Speaker 2: us for a while, to be honest, Like just the
- 2:33Speaker 2: way people have adjusted and how connected we are in
- 2:36Speaker 2: the locker room. I think just our connectivity and chemistry
- 2:40Speaker 2: off the court helps us on the court as well.
- 2:42Speaker 2: So I mean, I mean that's just what coach really does.
- 2:44Speaker 2: It's just great with forming great locker rooms.
- 2:47Speaker 1: And finally tell me about gamble. When you play in
- 2:49Speaker 1: that building, what's it feel like to play when that
- 2:52Speaker 1: place gets rocking.
- 2:53Speaker 2: Yeah, it's the basketball capitol world man. So I mean
- 2:55Speaker 2: it's electric every single game, no matter it could be
- 2:58Speaker 2: the lowest seed the Big East, could be the highest
- 3:01Speaker 2: seed of the Big East. You know, the game is
- 3:02Speaker 2: gonna be electric. And that's why I love the atmosphere.
- 3:04Speaker 2: Every time I put on the Yukon Drasey walk in
- 3:06Speaker 2: the gample, I mean, I'm ready to go there.
- 3:08Speaker 1: You go, Solo, Thanks for a few minutes.
- 3:10Speaker 3: Thank you, thank you for having me.
