What happened

AlterNet reports that former White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt said she resigned in August because the job required more than 60 hours a week, worldwide travel, and constant availability—conditions she could not reconcile with raising two children. On October 14, she rejected the suggestion that occasional television appearances contradicted her stated reason for leaving, explaining that she can do those appearances while remaining home with her children.
