  [SPEAKER_00]: absolutely cannot wait to see what James Gladstone, Liam Cohen and company have cooked up for this draft.

  [SPEAKER_00]: You know that they're going to be aggressive where they see fit.

  [SPEAKER_00]: They're going to take some swings.

  [SPEAKER_00]: They're going to get after it and the jackwars they're slated to have a ton of draft picks.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I do expect there to be trades at some point and

  [SPEAKER_00]: For this mock draft, we switch the simulator from the PFF mock draft simulator, which is what I had been using most of this offseason over to the pro football network mock draft simulator.

  [SPEAKER_00]: you know, the sale, I don't know what's going on over there, but I decided we're going to make the move, we're going to switch maybe try out some different ones, and the past I've really enjoyed NFL mock draft database, but for this one we did pro football network, so all the players prospects that are available at the spots they're available at.

  [SPEAKER_00]: There's some picks here that would be shocking for these prospects to be available at these spots in my opinion.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I would probably say this would be the most impressive draft I've seen, at least personally, from the Jag Course.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Caleb Banks is still on the board out of Florida, and I know we've talked about him a good bit lately.

  [SPEAKER_00]: 330 pound, incredibly tall, long, strong, great athleticism, quickness.

  [SPEAKER_00]: There's games on tape where he is just unstoppable at a Florida defensive tackle.

  [SPEAKER_00]: And so he has foot injuries that he's been dealing with.

  [SPEAKER_00]: So I've cautioned against maybe like if you have to use a lot of draft capital to trade up to get him.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Like if you're trying to get into the 30s to land him, because the Jaguar is they do need an impact defensive tackle.

  [SPEAKER_00]: They need somebody who can really disrupt the backfield.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Devon Hamilton, he's been excellent as a run defender.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Eric Armstrong's dead still playing pretty good football, but you need a little bit more in there, so Caleb Banks makes a ton of sense out of Florida.

  [SPEAKER_00]: But if he fell to 56, I have a hard time saying that, you know, it's not worth a swing because the best version of this timeline is Caleb Banks ends up being a

  [SPEAKER_00]: I mean, that's the type of talent that he has, the physical talent and on tape you see, it's not just like a projection, it's like on tape, you see him being dominant against good football teams.

  [SPEAKER_00]: So Caleb Banks at 56 if he's there, I have a hard time not, you know.

  [SPEAKER_00]: taking that swing quite honestly.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Our Mason Thomas is available with the Jaguar II pick at 81 overall out of Oklahoma, the Eddrescher.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Almost all their edge rushers are big and they're different.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Tears of, you know, Trayvon Walker is a massive edge defender.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Josh Hines Allen is pretty big in his own right.

  [SPEAKER_00]: BJ Greens got some size.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Danny Strigo not tiny either, but Armace and Thomas is certainly the smallest out of all of these guys, but he is a dynamic past rusher incredibly difficult to stay in front of for

  [SPEAKER_00]: offensive lineman, you know, he can burn you around the edge and then that makes you overset and he can flip back inside and cross your face and he's got a bag of moves.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I just think he's a dynamic past processor and if he was there at 81 somehow, that'd be pretty insane.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Honestly, if he was there after 56, where we took Caleb Banks, I would strongly consider trading up.

  [SPEAKER_00]: but the way the board was looking with edge defenders and other players, I was just like, we can stick and pick here, the way this thing is going, I didn't feel the need to trade up.

  [SPEAKER_00]: So, Armace and Thomas at 81, yeah, we've seen, you know, the Rams in the past, go get a eddressure and a defensive tackle.

  [SPEAKER_00]: When they did it, it was obviously too full of state guys who had played together.

  [SPEAKER_00]: But I think Caleb Banks and our Mason Thomas would be in same value.

  [SPEAKER_00]: And then at 88, got to eat your vegetables in the draft sometimes.

  [SPEAKER_00]: And then this is a player we mocked to the Jaguar's often, because I just quite frankly think he's just a perfect value in the third round.

  [SPEAKER_00]: And it's Cage Casey, the offensive lineman out of Boise State.

  [SPEAKER_00]: projectable to play tackle or guard at the next level.

  [SPEAKER_00]: He's smart, he's fundamentally sound, he's physically berries guys in the dirt when he has the opportunity to do it.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I think he gives you that versatility that you're looking for.

  [SPEAKER_00]: If Colvane Lannon is missing any time, he can provide competition for Walker Little.

  [SPEAKER_00]: So, and then if there's no missed time at the beginning of the season for Colvane Lannon, you also have obviously the ability

  [SPEAKER_00]: upgrade the back end of that offensive line, you know, Tuma Doge is currently your final piece to that offensive line.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I think Cage Casey upgrades that for you there.

  [SPEAKER_00]: And then we've talked about it like long term, beyond 2026, there's potentially a lot of roster churn on the offensive line for the jacks of rain and cage case who can be a future starter for you makes a lot of sense.

  [SPEAKER_00]: injury wise.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Like for a 330 pound defensive tackle to have foot injuries is very scary.

  [SPEAKER_00]: But again, you're taking this wing because if he can stay healthy, you're talking about a game changing into your defensive linemen.

  [SPEAKER_00]: And so we took Renee Konga out of Louisville who look there's a lot of guys I could have inserted here.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I wanted to provide a name we haven't talked about a lot, but this could have been Landon Robinson out of Navy, this could have been Caleb Proctor.

  [SPEAKER_00]: He's an incredible athlete on the interior, the defensive line, but I love the way, I think he plays the game really smart.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Like, various assignments sound, kind of understands how offenses are trying to attack.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Like, I see him regularly getting his hands on the football from a, you know, if he's not getting to the quarterback, he's getting those hands up and timing it well.

  [SPEAKER_00]: and deflecting passes at the line of scrimmage.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I see him hunting down screens.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I see obviously he has a great ability to get into the backfield as well as a pass rusher and interior penetrator.

  [SPEAKER_00]: So he transferred from Rutgers to Louisville, kind of a little bit of a step up in competition.

  [SPEAKER_00]: The Jaguars have shown they have an interest in that type of player, but I'm a fan.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I would take land in Robinson over Congo, but again, this is just to provide a little bit of a different look here for the Jaguars.

  [SPEAKER_00]: When you talk about a little bit later down the board, interior, past, or, who makes sense for the football team.

  [SPEAKER_00]: was remarkable, just testing less, and then I think over the last couple years at Oklahoma, he has really stepped up his consistency.

  [SPEAKER_00]: That was something he struggled with a little bit earlier in his career.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Became completely reliable with his hands, not only in easy catch situations, but also contested.

  [SPEAKER_00]: really good in contestic catches didn't have focus drops over the last two years, uh, he's 5 10 180, but he ran a 4 3 40 yard dash with a 1 4 9 10 split 42 and a half inch vert 10 11 broad with 26 bench press reps.

  [SPEAKER_00]: And where I see him fitting is, if you bring him back Tim Patrick, which I think the Jaguar probably should do that, is bring back Tim Patrick and then Dion Berks and then that's rounding out your wide receiver room with

  [SPEAKER_00]: Jacobi, Parker Washington, Brian Thomas Jr. Travis Hunter in there at times, Deon Berks, Tim Patrick.

  [SPEAKER_00]: And now Deon Berks brings more of that speed element to your football team.

  [SPEAKER_00]: And I think he's just a guy who can do a lot at the receiver spot.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I think maybe you project him more inside at the next level as a as more of a slot receiver, right?

  [SPEAKER_00]: And that can play in a Liam Cohen offense.

  [SPEAKER_00]: You can use motions and shifts to get him open and create mismatches.

  [SPEAKER_00]: And I just like the way he's approached the last couple years, the way he tested.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I think everything is kind of headed in the right direction for Dion Birx.

  [SPEAKER_00]: So that's a guy that I'd be fired up about at that spot.

  [SPEAKER_00]: at 137, we traded up from, we traded 164 and 166, which was a pretty high price to pay to move up to 137 to trade with the Eagles, but we also got back a 2027 seventh round pick.

  [SPEAKER_00]: to give up 164 and 166, having those two picks so close to each other I think is valuable.

  [SPEAKER_00]: So I wanted to give up, I wanted to get something else in return and we did here and I think that James Gladstone would want to as well if he was going to move up in this situation.

  [SPEAKER_00]: But we have an address tied in yet and I think going and getting a tie-dend who has the potential to be a high impact player alongside a Britain strange could really

  [SPEAKER_00]: be special for this offense quite frankly with their 12 personnel and 13 personnel.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I think he's a day two player.

  [SPEAKER_00]: He likes to finish in terms of you know burying his opponent in the dirt when he can.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I don't know what what what I'm missing here with Jack Andrews quite honestly, but too much sense at 137.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I know a lot of folks kind of pegged the Jaguars is an early linebacker team.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I think they really like Ventral Miller and Branson Colms, and Branson Colms is somebody, if you go back and watch some of the training camp videos I did from last year, he's a name that consistently popped.

  [SPEAKER_00]: So I think that between those two guys and then bringing in a later round pick to compete like an Owen Heinecki,

  [SPEAKER_00]: who formula cross player hasn't been playing football a ton, but just the ability to blitz and run and hit that's all there and I think that's the biggest stuff you're kind of looking for from that linebacker spot, you're not looking for the foil, look and communicator.

  [SPEAKER_00]: and kind of green dot guy as much or you're looking for somebody who can be a playmaker and I think going high in the key can do that.

  [SPEAKER_00]: If I had to pick between the two personally, I'd probably take botcher, but with this one went with high in the key just to offer a little bit of a change up and then at 233,

  [SPEAKER_00]: And so this creates a log jam behind, Trayvon Walker, shoutout, great contract extension for the Jag Wars for James Gladstone.

  [SPEAKER_00]: He's locked up for a long time, but behind Trayvon Walker and Josh Heinz Allen, you do have your undrafted pre-agents from last year.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Sturgo and BJ Green, but clearly I did want to create more competition and add more juice with our Mason Thomas there, but come and make

  [SPEAKER_00]: I do think that there's room at the very back end of the corner back room for some competition.

  [SPEAKER_00]: You know Keith Taylor is there, Christian Braswell is there.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Toriano Pride Jr. We've talked about a little bit out of Missouri here.

  [SPEAKER_00]: feisty, he's incredibly fast, he's just a little undersized, but I think he's somebody who can come in and compete to potentially make this roster.

  [SPEAKER_00]: take players that could potentially be practice squad guys at the end of the day.

  [SPEAKER_00]: And at 245 we took Josh Wavos out of Alabama the tight end.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I think he brings a lot of balance to the position and again, competition at the back end of the roster like Hunter Long's going to have to earn his spot with Wavos.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I think it would be really exciting to get all this defensive front help to get a crazy athlete wide receiver in Dionne Berks.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Again, Cage Casey to really shore up the offensive line and Jack Andrews and Josh Swavus to really upgrade the you know depth and talent in that.
