- 0:05Welcome to The Hypnotist, the show that gives you inside
- 0:09access to cutting edge hypnosis with real clients facing
- 0:12genuine. Issues.
- 0:13Brought to you by The Hypnotherapist, Demanded by
- 0:16celebrities, CEOs and even royalty, Adam Cox.
- 0:20These recordings took place live from Adam Smith in London's
- 0:24world famous Harley Street. So get yourself comfortable and
- 0:31enjoy today's episode of The Hypnotist.
- 0:39Hi, it's Adam here and you're about to listen to a wealth
- 0:43hypnosis session. All about.
- 0:45Worthiness and. Self sabotage and.
- 0:49Now I was working with a client that was very successful in the
- 0:53world of recruitment and helping people to get high profile jobs
- 0:59and promotions, working with a lot of CEOs.
- 1:03But as a child and as a teenager and as a young adult experienced
- 1:09a lot of resentment and jealousy from their parents.
- 1:15And in the UK there's this thing called the tall poppy syndrome,
- 1:18where if someone starts getting a bit too successful.
- 1:22There's almost this. Unconscious desire to chop them
- 1:25back down to size and a popular phrase will be who do.
- 1:29You think you are, do you think? You're better than me.
- 1:33Things like that. Which basically.
- 1:34Say that it's OK to be. Successful, just not too
- 1:37successful. And it's a very unpleasant.
- 1:42Part of the. Cultural DNA in the UK.
- 1:46But because. Of that, there are a lot of
- 1:49people that hold themselves back and by holding themselves back
- 1:54that might be financially they don't quite make the money they
- 1:57could or strive to the level of success in their career that is
- 2:01possible unless something happens and unless that thing is
- 2:05that. Those feelings of being.
- 2:08Disconnected either is given low priority and they just don't
- 2:12care, or that rather than being perceived to be punished by
- 2:16being successful, they actually have the opposite belief, which
- 2:20is that they're being rewarded for being successful.
- 2:23And any of those things that are a bit snarky or a bit resentful
- 2:28are just evident that they are moving in the right direction.
- 2:32So if you can resonate with this idea of holding back that you're
- 2:37not tapping into what you're capable of financially or income
- 2:41wise, I think you'll get some value from this.
- 2:44Now part of this was linked to my course Hypnotic Wealth.
- 2:49I've created a course which delves into all of the different
- 2:53money blocks that get in the way of people being financially
- 2:55successful. So there's a couple of.
- 2:58Options right now. Other than just listening to
- 3:01this? Session if.
- 3:02You want to learn more about the course, have a look in the
- 3:04description. And if you want to do 1 to one
- 3:06sessions with me, specifically on areas of money or wealth or
- 3:10financial blocks, book a free consultation call and we'll have
- 3:14a chat on Zoom. For now, though, I want you to
- 3:16find a quiet, comfortable place where you're not going to.
- 3:19Be distracted or disturbed, relax and enjoy the session.
- 3:42Take a deep breath in, and as you breathe in, imagine
- 3:52breathing in pure worthiness. And as you exhale, give
- 4:03permission to release any echoes of the past, particularly from
- 4:09childhood. Anything related to being held
- 4:19back, not being allowed to move forward, breathing in that
- 4:27worthiness and exhaling any limitations, any restrictions.
- 4:39And if worthiness had a colour, what colour would it have?
- 4:47A solid colour, or perhaps a cocktail of colours.
- 4:55Imagine breathing in whatever colour or colours of worthiness.
- 5:02Imagine it going through your nose, into your lungs, and then
- 5:06to every cell in your body. I want you to get a feeling that
- 5:14as you breathe in that worthiness, imagine yourself
- 5:19worth as a power bank and just imagine it has a percentage
- 5:26telling you what your current self worth is.
- 5:32But as you breathe in that worthiness and exhale echoes and
- 5:40limitations, I want you to imagine that power Bank of
- 5:46worthiness is slowly charging up each breath perhaps one extra
- 5:54percent. That's it.
- 5:59And therefore, the deeper you breathe, the more relaxed and
- 6:03worthy you feel. And the longer you exhale, the
- 6:10more limitations you're releasing, each breath taking
- 6:16you deeper and deeper. Relaxed.
- 6:27If you need to position your body to make yourself more
- 6:29comfortable, do that now. And with your eyes closed,
- 6:35notice how much easier it becomes to really focus on the
- 6:41sound of my voice. Breathing in that worthiness,
- 6:46exhaling out the limitations. And as you breathe, allow the
- 6:52body to begin unwinding. Sometimes people can feel like a
- 7:00coiled spring. All that tension, all that
- 7:05pressure, most of it from the past.
- 7:10But if every outward breath is release, perhaps you can notice
- 7:15your shoulders relaxing, jaw softening, even the muscles
- 7:21around the eyes releasing. Because when you breathe slowly,
- 7:28particularly on the outward breath, it sends a signal to the
- 7:33nervous system, a signal of safety.
- 7:40And when the body feels safe, the mind becomes open to new
- 7:47ideas, new perspective, new ways of thinking.
- 7:56The deeper you breathe, the more relaxed you feel.
- 7:58The more relaxed you feel, the deeper you breathe, and as your
- 8:03body relaxes, your imagination awakens.
- 8:08And as your mind becomes calm and receptive, you can start to
- 8:14observe your own beliefs. And maybe there's a belief
- 8:20buried deep from long ago, an idea that success leads to
- 8:27punishment. In many parts of the world,
- 8:35there's a tall poppy syndrome. People start moving forward.
- 8:41Others around them try and knock them down to size with phrases
- 8:47like who do you think you are? You think you're better than us.
- 8:59I want you to connect perhaps with a memory of when you felt
- 9:05that way, knowing that it's rational for a belief to be
- 9:11formed if something you valued, like love, affection, approval
- 9:18was withheld and in some cases given the opposite, mockery,
- 9:24shame, disapproval. At a time when you did something
- 9:30well, when you achieve something meaningful or stood out in some
- 9:37way. And if things were as they
- 9:43should have been, you should have received encouragement,
- 9:48acknowledgement, support and approval.
- 9:54But maybe back then you received something different.
- 9:58Maybe it was criticism, mockery, withdrawal of warmth or
- 10:06discomfort from others. And a young mind can easily form
- 10:13a rule. A rule that says if I succeed,
- 10:20if I start doing too well, something bad might happen.
- 10:28But you are not your past, and you can see that for what it
- 10:33really was, projection. Perhaps they were projecting
- 10:40their own insecurities, their own internal resentments and
- 10:45disappointments onto you, and a quick thought experiment can
- 10:54easily verify that. If they had been as successful
- 10:59as they could have been, if they were thriving, if they had
- 11:05abundance, would they have given you the same reaction?
- 11:12You already know the answer. You were not being punished.
- 11:19You were simply a scapegoat for their own dissatisfaction.
- 11:27You now know with absolute certainty those reactions were
- 11:32never punishment. They were insecurity projected
- 11:38onto you. Other people responding to their
- 11:42own limitations, their own fears, their own comparison.
- 11:51And I want you to go back to those moments again, moments
- 11:56when someone reacts with jealousy or resentment, still is
- 12:00an observer. But I want you to interpret that
- 12:05signal differently now. Not as punishment, but as
- 12:10evidence. Irrefutable evidence that you
- 12:16are moving forward, Evidence that you are capable, that you
- 12:21are growing. Evidence that you are stepping
- 12:24into something powerful. People rarely react strongly to
- 12:34someone who is staying small or achieving less than they are.
- 12:43Insecure people react when someone is rising, when they're
- 12:48living their dreams, their mission, their purpose.
- 12:54So from this moment forward, those reactions become
- 13:00confirmation. Confirmation that you are moving
- 13:05in exactly the right direction and your mind can also recognize
- 13:12something logical. That real punishment is very
- 13:18different. Real punishment is physical
- 13:22harm. Real punishment is imprisonment.
- 13:28Real punishment is isolation. And you being successful is none
- 13:36of those things. And the more you think about it,
- 13:40the truer it becomes, until it becomes impossible to hold that
- 13:45old belief that success leads to punishment.
- 13:51When you define punishment accurately, and when you look at
- 13:57what actually happened in the past, you weren't punished.
- 14:04You just triggered insecurity in others because you know with
- 14:11certainty that success leads to freedom.
- 14:17Freedom of choice, freedom of time, freedom of opportunity.
- 14:26Success is rewarded with financial reward, professional
- 14:33respect, expanded possibilities. And I wonder if that belief is
- 14:42already dissolving that old absurd belief that success is
- 14:50punishment. In fact, try.
- 14:54Try to believe that. And the harder you try, the more
- 14:57elusive that old belief becomes, because the mind now understands
- 15:05something simple and true. Success is a stepping stone to
- 15:10abundance, stepping stone to reward.
- 15:19Now imagine your beliefs about money as if they were written on
- 15:25an old school blackboard. Perhaps some old messages are
- 15:30still there. Messages like I shouldn't charge
- 15:37too much. People won't pay that.
- 15:43I shouldn't ask for what I'm worth.
- 15:49And I want you to remember an old board rubber.
- 15:56You know, the ones to wipe the board clean and just stare.
- 16:04Stare at those words that aren't true anymore and just wipe that
- 16:10board clean. Replacing those ideas with new
- 16:18principles. Principles based on truth.
- 16:27Value deserves compensation. Expertise deserves recognition,
- 16:40transformation deserves reward. And when someone benefits from
- 16:46your work, you deserve to be rewarded.
- 16:56And it becomes completely natural for that value to be
- 16:59reflected financially. And I wonder if you could
- 17:07imagine a future version, not too far in the future, just a
- 17:12few months. A version of you already living
- 17:17without those old limitations. A version of you that trusts
- 17:23their own value. A version of you who speaks
- 17:29clearly about the impact you create.
- 17:35A version of you but sets their prices with calm confidence, not
- 17:43because they are forcing anything, but because you know
- 17:47the value you provide. And I want you to notice how
- 17:56that version of you responds. Perhaps when presenting a price
- 18:07or an offer, when responding to an e-mail or a message about
- 18:13costs, I want you to see a version of you that is relaxed.
- 18:19Certain self. Respecting that version of you
- 18:25does not hold back. That version of you allows self
- 18:31to test what you are capable of. You allow yourself to play at
- 18:40the next level up, working with ever more influential clients,
- 18:48negotiating meaningful outcomes, creating financial abundance for
- 18:54them and you. Because a martyr is someone that
- 19:01helps others at the expense of themself.
- 19:06You're no martyr. As your clients benefit, you
- 19:11benefit. And the more you benefit others,
- 19:17the more credibility you have, the more people seek you out,
- 19:24and the more comfortable you feel being completely visible.
- 19:31Other people don't like it. It's their issue, not yours, and
- 19:39I want you to allow that future version of you to give the
- 19:46present version of you permission.
- 19:51Permission to stop holding back. Permission to charge
- 19:55appropriately. Permission to close
- 19:58opportunities before the window closes itself.
- 20:05Permission to succeed without guilt or shame.
- 20:11And if you're willing to take that permission from yourself to
- 20:16yourself because no one else will give it to you, let me
- 20:21know. By nodding your head, That's it.
- 20:26When you succeed, you are not taking anything from anyone.
- 20:30You are creating value. Some people believe the
- 20:39financial success is a reflection of how much value you
- 20:42create for the world, which means the more financially
- 20:50successful you are, the more evidence that you have that
- 20:55you're doing something meaningful, important and
- 20:59valuable, and abundance flows naturally from that.
- 21:06And then step into that future identity now.
- 21:11Someone who is. Financially worthy.
- 21:14Someone with recognition of their own expertise.
- 21:22Someone who just expects abundance as a natural outcome
- 21:28of contribution. And if that old belief tries to
- 21:34appear like a bad smell or an old echo, your mind simply
- 21:40smiles because you now know the truth.
- 21:46Success is not punishment, and it never was.
- 21:52It's reward, it's freedom, it's abundance, and it's these ideas
- 21:57and new beliefs settle and take root deep into your mind.
- 22:04You may already notice a shift, a quiet sense of confidence, a
- 22:11sense of expansion, a willingness to step forward.
- 22:18And so from now on, each opportunity become become
- 22:24something you can evaluate and seek out calmly.
- 22:29And each success becomes evidence of your worthiness, not
- 22:34a reason to step back from it. Allow all of these new thoughts,
- 22:42ideas and feelings to integrate, assimilate and resonate as it's
- 22:49time to return. Take a deep breath in through
- 22:56your nose and out through your nose.
- 23:00Just wiggle your fingers and wiggle your toes as you connect
- 23:05and calibrate into the here and the now as I now count from 1:00
- 23:10to 10:00 to awaken you. Starting to count 123 waking up
- 23:19456 more alert 7-8. Open your eyes.
- 23:24Open your eyes 910 Wide awake, Wide awake.
